00:00:00.000andy thank you for doing this this is one of the this is one of the most remarkable stories that
00:00:09.000i've ever heard and so i'd love to start at the beginning congrats on the book uh who are the
00:00:16.420zizians the zizians are a cult that has its origins in silicon valley california i first
00:00:25.680started paying attention to what i then learned were parts of the story um in january 2025
00:00:35.140there that was inauguration day on inauguration day i saw in the headlines that a u.s border
00:00:43.900patrol agent had been shot dead in vermont in vermont right by the canadian border very close
00:00:50.020the Canadian border. Of course, with it being Inauguration Day, all of the international
00:00:56.020and national media coverage was on what was happening in D.C., so it didn't get very much
00:01:01.180attention. It was actually not far from that border crossing that day, weirdly, in Vermont,
00:01:06.980which is not far from here. It's a very rural area in the middle of nowhere. It's icy, cold,
00:01:12.400super freezing and two people were dead one the one being one of the alleged shooters
00:01:19.700another alleged shooter was injured but survived and then the border patrol agent
00:01:25.360david christopher malin was ambushed and killed there so when i looked into that i
00:01:32.960there were just reading about this yeah there were very very few details but then once i found
00:01:39.180out the names and i started digging further and this is in the context of where i've learned that
00:01:49.040we should come to expect media malpractice when it comes to a lot of details about criminal matters
00:01:57.440particularly involving gender and trans so you can no longer take for many years now take even
00:02:07.220names and details such as sex at face value when it's being reported i learned this unfortunately
00:02:15.920through my reporting through on on leftist violence over the years is that the media will
00:02:22.620use preferred names preferred pronouns preferred aliases for individuals they report on and
00:02:29.540oftentimes even on criminal matters and so you can have all these stories where there are
00:02:36.100trans killers involved in violent cases and read reporting and come out not even knowing
00:02:45.320that this woman who did this sex crime or did this brutal killing or did these acts of violence
00:02:51.660is not a woman, but actually a man. So with the name, I just kept digging further. Initially,
00:02:57.520There was a lot of stuff going on in D.C., and I found out that, oh, huh, the surviving alleged attempted murderer in that shooting had applied for a marriage license in the Seattle area with a man in Seattle who had just been arrested for attempted murder,
00:03:23.660somebody who was an elderly key witness for an attempted murder trial in Solano County, California, which is in the Bay Area.
00:03:34.200And then I looked up, oh, that elderly man several years earlier had survived a brutal attack by trans suspects.
00:07:20.000And once I found some of the puzzle pieces,
00:07:25.100I realized this is material for a book,
00:07:29.560not just an article, because there was so much.
00:07:32.820I then learned about this is a cult now who has its roots in effective altruism, rationalism.
00:07:44.320But then they, as they became radicalized, they pulled in bits and pieces of other beliefs like trans ideology, transhumanism, leftist anarchist politics.
00:07:56.100and they were a cult that recruited in the bay area and they are alleged to have been linked now
00:08:03.880to eight violent deaths in the united states and also in another country so there's a trail of
00:08:12.800bodies and the zizians is a two-year investigation a year and a half investigation the zizians is a
00:08:22.640year and a half investigation into what I discovered, the secrets of the group, the ideology.
00:08:29.220And the more I kept digging in, it became more and more gruesome and disturbing. And I've seen a lot
00:08:35.600of very ugly, horrific things in my times reporting on the violent far left. I've experienced it
00:08:42.520myself. I've seen people who have been maimed. I unfortunately was around deadly violence in
00:08:50.080Portland in 2020. So I thought I was prepared for what I would find, but this cult used human
00:08:59.020experimentation. They had hideouts across the U.S. They made their own labs in sort of like medical
00:09:08.820environments in the hideouts where they had. They administered their own hormones and medication.
00:09:13.920So the Zizians is really a story of what happens when rampant cross-sex hormone use, radical ideology, protection from media and institutions, all these things merging together then allowed a cult to allegedly carry out deadly violence over the course of nearly a decade now.0.65
00:09:42.140Most people don't like thinking about life insurance.
00:09:44.260It's one of those topics you tend to kind of put off.
00:09:46.360But if you're married, you've got kids, you've got people who depend on you,
00:09:49.900you probably should think about what would happen if you weren't around.
00:09:52.980And that's why we've partnered with Ethos.
00:09:54.860They've made getting life insurance super easy.
00:24:52.240He wrote about taking cross-sex hormones and testosterone suppressors.
00:24:56.100And he met other trans people. There was an element also in the Bay Area then and now within some in Silicon Valley of trans social, trans as a social contagion, of like where just suddenly a whole bunch of people began transitioning at the same time amongst similar social and friendly circles.
00:25:18.100circles. So he was developing his own ideology in parallel and ultimately in opposition to a very
00:25:26.960well-known rationalist and effective altruist thinker, Eliezer Yudovsky. And Yudovsky is really
00:25:37.020seen as one of the big forefathers for modern-day contemporary rationalism. He has a very large
00:25:47.060following many people moved to the bay area particularly because he has established several
00:25:54.200non two non-profits miri machine intelligence research institute and um cfar to to research
00:26:02.760ai safety and rationalism and he's for many many years most well known as one of the big
00:26:08.980ai doomers earlier this year he met with vermont senator bernie sanders and others so he's been
00:26:15.400very influential in his career. Ziz was a follower of Yudoski, but eventually believed that Yudoski
00:26:22.940wasn't doing enough to save the world. So Ziz then met another person who he recruited to his
00:26:32.960cause, Jasper Danielson, who used the name Gwen. And that was his first recruit. From there,
00:26:40.180the two of them really established sort of the groundwork of the Zizians, and it's very big and
00:26:47.860complicated and hard to explain, but to summarize. Their main theory is that the brain's two
00:26:55.000hemispheres correspond to different identities. One can be male, one can be female, it can be
00:27:03.900different sexes it can be in opposition to one another and one could and they could be good or
00:27:10.000evil ziz in his writings described himself as being female in the brain and that both of his
00:27:19.180hemispheres were good that he was one of the exceptionally rare people in the world born
00:27:24.480with this gift of being double good so he had like a whole vocabulary around it and then his goal
00:27:31.140then was to find and recruit people to his ideology and cause who he believed had at least
00:27:41.460one good core of the brain. And so in their ideology, because the two hemispheres of the
00:27:50.080brain are linked, they believed that they needed to be separated and that they could do it through
00:27:57.860experimentations and this is like the early formings of the court-like elements of the
00:28:03.200group so people that they were recruiting trans so-called trans women men who identify as women
00:28:10.520they would introduce them to the ideology let them know how they can be part of this
00:28:16.680world-saving mission and being part of this vanguard but you need to go through these
00:28:21.760experimentations. You need to jailbreak yourselves. So Ziz particularly sought out other rationalists
00:28:29.100who were trans. And then from there, the line of inquiry would be to try to find out if they were
00:28:36.000open to these types of experimentations. And so I document...
00:28:39.880Would they separate the two hemispheres of your brain?
00:28:42.520Yes. And the Zizians believed that they could do it through sleep deprivation. And Ziz very1.00
00:28:48.740intentionally kept the details of how these experimentations were done secretive. He alluded
00:28:55.300to some of the steps in his writings, but never outlined it. And I believe that was part of sort
00:29:00.220of the intrigue with the group was it would get people curious to inquire with him. And some
00:29:06.900did. Reading through some of the correspondence that I was able to gather as part of my
00:29:15.200investigation for this book the experimentations was various kinds of sleep deprivation and and
00:29:22.520and manipulating members into essentially a state of psychosis where they could be
00:29:29.980more easily manipulated through the extended sleep deprivation sleep deprivation has been
00:29:35.380used by a lot of cults by the way of course and governments exactly so part of what makes like
00:29:42.160the story quite unbelievable was the journey of the Zizians from Silicon Valley and then ultimately
00:29:49.220many many years later being arrested in February 2025 in Allegheny County, rural Maryland in0.67
00:29:57.740Appalachia, Maryland. The Zizians incorporated in leftist anarchist politics so they did not want1.00
00:30:06.040to submit themselves to the capitalist system. And part of that included then coming up with
00:30:13.220really bizarre arrangements for how to live their life as essentially a commune. So one of the first
00:30:19.400projects was establishing a rat fleet, rationalist fleet, literally buying old boats. And the idea
00:30:29.860was to live on them so they didn't have to pay rent and there's lots of really crazy stuff that
00:30:36.580happened for example they bought a old world war ii tugboat from alaska and rode it all the way
00:30:46.620drove it all the way down to the bay area but they didn't have any of the permits to be able
00:30:51.600to park at a dock um in half moon bay but they they were allowed to go there on humanitarian
00:30:59.880grounds because they claimed that they were running into difficulty and then they became
00:31:03.740squatters for years and years they stayed there they recruited people they bought more boats
00:31:08.920and there were people and then eventually who left the group and do we have any idea where
00:31:15.200their money was coming from? Yes. So Ziz himself was bouncing from programming job to programming
00:31:22.940job. And some of the other members were doing various other type of part-time employment things
00:31:30.300as well. So they were pouring in their own money into these projects. They really thought that they
00:31:34.720could create this fleet of rationalists who would end up saving the world. And eventually, as you
00:31:44.000can imagine that whole type of arrangement ended up collapsing. It's unrealistic. And so they moved
00:31:49.820after gathering several members, including one who was a Google engineer, Amir Bohanian,
00:31:56.280who used the name Emma. In 2020, at the end of 2019, they moved to Vallejo, California. There
00:32:11.440was a plot of land from an elderly man that they befriended when they were in Half Moon Bay by the
00:32:17.340water. He was very kind to them. He helped them a lot. Curtis Lint. And they lived on his lot and
00:32:26.940how they repaid his kindness was they used the laws under California Governor Gavin Newsom
00:32:34.880related to the pandemic to not pay rent for years so they squatted on his land and it was there that
00:32:42.380they did more of these experimentations they live in these box trucks so they lived a really
00:32:46.900weird lifestyle that was completely isolated from mainstream society and in the meantime
00:32:55.060two of the members who had joined their group and then left didn't actually end up escaping
00:35:41.620And the story of violence, Drew, here, it just, it continues to escalate.
00:35:47.480I'll just go through a brief timeline.
00:35:50.120there were by the end eight known victims so two people who joined the group ended up taking their
00:35:57.400own lives they were they had gone through the experimentation allegedly their brain hemispheres0.98
00:36:04.060were separated through these forms of sleep deprivation the zizians had a word for it for it0.99
00:36:10.140they called it debucketing they recruited more people onto this lot um there were at least six0.99
00:36:17.060of them that were living on the property belonging to the elderly man and eventually he took steps
00:36:24.700to try to evict them they didn't pay rent for years they originally offered pay two thousand
00:36:30.140dollars to rent a very large part of this lot to park all their vans where they were living out of
00:36:36.380and they were creating like so-called tiny homes out of these vans which they called
00:36:41.320slackmobiles so they would put solar panels on them and try to make it like completely
00:36:48.660autonomous living they rejected everything about society so they thought they could really
00:36:55.220live autonomously completely but he took steps to evict them finally after years of non-payment
00:37:03.720And in 2022, November, several days before they were legally scheduled to vacate the property through an eviction, Curtis Lent, who at that time was 79 years old, was lured out to one of their trailers and he was bashed on the head.
00:40:56.640That, and literally we're, I mean, talk about gaslighting.
00:41:02.060they say things like, we are living through a transgenocide. And, you know, it's one thing if
00:41:07.060it was just radical rhetoric. They, and also Zizine's, believe this. Zizine members wrote
00:41:14.160about their belief in ongoing transgenocide. They would have been encouraging one another1.00
00:41:20.040to take up firearms, stockpile firearms, and prepare for violence. And in fact, as we do this
00:41:27.720interview, it was just last week in Huntsville, Alabama, that three suspects, part of a Trantifa
00:41:35.620cell, were federally charged in connection with stockpiling and making 3D printed firearms for
00:41:45.340the purpose of violence and murder against federal agents. Also in the same week, last week, there was
00:41:55.000a trans suspect out of Washington State, an American, who was federally charged for allegedly
00:42:03.980helping the trans mass shooter that killed eight women and children in Tumblr Ridge, British Columbia,
00:42:10.680Canada. The suspect in that case, the American, is named James Melody Bryant. So a lot of
00:42:24.320The citizens is not just a meticulous detail of their history of violence and extremism.
00:42:35.900It's also an indictment against this media and institution context we're in where we're constantly lied to.
00:42:49.520So going back to what happened in Tumblr Ridge earlier this year in February when a trans shooter killed eight women and children at a property including his home and then at a school, the Canadian authorities described the deceased gunman as a female in a dress with brown hair.
00:43:15.140That was how they reported it. And they didn't release any of the pictures that the American
00:43:21.980authorities released last week showing that on the guns that were used to kill women and children
00:43:28.160were trans pride symbols. So the people that were slaughtered in Canada were literally killed
00:43:37.200at the burial of trans pride. And these were facts that the Canadian authorities omitted.
00:43:43.320And it was only because an American allegedly helped in the planning of that provided money that this type of information came through in the criminal complaint.
00:43:54.640But that is just emblematic of the lies that all of us are subjected to when it comes to hiding and obscuring the truth about transviolence.0.67
00:44:08.480so like going back to zizians they allegedly attempted murder on this man and then this is
00:44:14.0802022 with i'm speaking to you now towards in late 2026 none of the two suspects in that case
00:44:22.940have been convicted of anything and trial hasn't happened yet and trial hasn't happened no the
00:44:30.380trial hasn't ran the man through the sword because they didn't want to pay rent and no one's going
00:44:34.160on trial so decisions are one thing they're brilliant at is learning the rules and using
00:44:42.920the rules against you so they used every tactic they could think of to delay the case delay the
00:44:49.780case year after year after year curtis lynn was 79 when he was attacked so he's getting very old
00:44:59.380And by 2025, last year, now he's in his 80s at his property.
00:45:11.580You know, over years, he left the property, but then eventually he returned.
00:45:17.720You know, people who live through traumatic experiences sometimes still kind of revert back to the environments where maybe the violence had happened
00:45:27.420because they think enough time has passed to say the two suspects were still in custody at that
00:45:34.140time. He likely had no idea the extent of how this group was much larger than just the two
00:45:41.400people who were in custody. So this is how easy it was for Ziz to escape. He was found by law0.58
00:45:49.740enforcement responding to the shooting death of Borhanyan as well as the attempted murder of
00:45:54.880Curtis Lent. They took him to the police station and while Ziz was waiting to be questioned in
00:46:02.760like the lobby area, he just pretended to be unconscious. He just closed his eye and collapsed
00:46:09.140in his chair. So these law enforcement officers thinking that there's a medical emergency
00:46:15.740send him off to hospital to be checked out. They didn't send a police officer with him. They didn't
00:46:21.440place him under formal arrest. So once he was in the hospital, he regained consciousness and just
00:46:27.920slipped out and then disappeared and then became a fugitive completely. He was gone for years and
00:46:34.600he would reemerge several years later in Pennsylvania. And by that point, the group
00:46:42.620recruited more people. So having normal testosterone is fine, but optimal testosterone,
00:48:12.260So that wasn't the first time he faked a scenario that allowed him to help escape.
00:48:18.420So there was, and this is getting a bit into the weeds,
00:48:22.280but I bring it up just to show how insane the story was
00:48:26.140and how badly law enforcement effed up.0.69
00:48:30.320So before that, Ziz had faked his death
00:48:35.920through pretending to have drowned in the waters in the Bay Area
00:48:40.620In official court declarations, one written by Amir Emma Borhanian, who at that time was still alive, and another one written by his sister Naomi Lasota, they testified or they declared officially that he had fallen off the boat that they were on.
00:49:01.160And there was a huge air and water search effort involving all these different departments and agencies all across the Bay Area, like all hands on deck to try to save him.
00:49:12.580And so there was this belief that he had been dead and that the body hadn't been found yet.
00:49:18.100And then he was found by law enforcement in Vallejo, California after this brutal attack.
00:49:26.040So there was already another pending felony case against this involving a Zizian protest in Westminster Woods where they allegedly donning robes and masks had created a hostage situation where children at the camp thought that there was an active shooter situation.
00:49:52.180So they were facing a whole bunch of charges related to that.
00:50:16.220They just sent him off to the hospital.
00:50:18.740And of course, he had a chance to escape.
00:50:21.460And then when he would re-emerge again, it was in the context of an investigation into a double murder that had happened in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on New Year's Eve at the very end of 2022, involving the victims there were the parents of one of the members, Michelle Zyko.
00:50:42.180So the Zizian's groups were, even though he had, Ziz had escaped and left California, there was still active recruiting and the group was growing and people were joining across the U.S.
00:50:56.420How and why was this couple killed, the parents of the Zizian member?
00:51:01.180on what is believed to be new year's eve 2022 and this is according to the police report
00:51:12.400a car pulled up at their home at night individual or individuals could be seen going in according
00:51:22.620to a neighbor's ring camera footage and there's some yelling that occurs inside the house
00:51:29.860And then two figures are seen leaving the property, going to a car, and driving off.
00:51:39.440Those individuals could not be definitively identified on that blurry ring camera footage.
00:51:46.120Several days later, during a welfare check, because the elderly Richard and Rita were taking care of Rita's mother,
00:51:55.860who was very old at that time and they weren't showing up to check in on her so somebody called
00:52:01.340for a welfare check and so state police pennsylvanian state police came to the property
00:52:07.540went up and found the two bodies in pools of blood in michelle zyko's former childhood bedroom
00:52:15.400they had been shot execution style in the head in that case was from murders in 2022
00:52:25.840it was only just a few months ago that finally michelle zyko was charged with the murder of her
00:52:33.460parents. However, at the press conference, the prosecutor said that Michelle Zyko was not alone,
00:52:45.360but he stopped short of saying who she was with. We do know that there's video of two figures being
00:52:52.240seen leaving that property on the time that it's believed that Richard and Rita were executed,
00:52:57.140but this has never been charged with attempted murder um after the the double homicide michelle
00:53:05.560zyko became a person of interest and then she was questioned not charged let go and disappeared
00:53:14.400and she was with another zizian at that time and daniel blank is she trans too yes she is a woman
00:53:22.300who biological woman who uses the name jamie or alex and at various times has used different
00:53:32.700pronouns including they them what happened to the elderly man who got the sword run through him
00:53:40.560i'm jumping through quite a large timeline now like a decade of all this so it may get a little
00:53:45.760bit confusing as i'm describing because it's involving different geographic regions and
00:53:50.680many different characters at this point what people need to know is that so curtis lynn had
00:53:56.760survived the attempted assassination he was blinded in one eye wore an eye patch and eventually
00:54:05.220returned to his property he had spent a long time away but against the urging of his children return
00:54:11.920he wanted to live out the final years on this property that he bought and he lived in trailer
00:54:16.720and he was used to it, he liked it, he missed it, he came back, it was a mistake.
00:54:21.100In January 2025, somebody was waiting in the shadows for him outside that property,
00:54:28.780and when he pulled in, that person went up with a blade and repeatedly stabbed him,
00:54:37.420and according to witnesses, pulled his head back and slid his throat,
00:54:42.620and he bled out, he died there on the spot.
00:58:18.260i felt really unsettled like there was uh felt like there was i would describe as an energy
00:58:26.420in that type of space because you can see how they lived their lives and
00:58:31.920i found for example some of their clothes and this is part of what makes the zizians1.00
00:58:39.360really scary is that they were always dressed in black0.97
00:58:41.940very similar to the antifa black block anarchists that i've encountered a lot
00:58:48.020I found their clothes, I found their hair, and they had all these, and I found remnants of their so-called lab or workstations where they were building things and doing things on one another.
00:59:08.620and um in the book part of the big reveal is a very large section in the book of
00:59:16.040pictures of that have never been revealed before of the hideout bases pictures of the zizians in
00:59:23.220their past and part of the big investigation here for me was making sure that every single
00:59:28.960person and associate is identified by their birth name how hard is that to get their names
00:59:34.280it's easier once somebody's been charged with a crime but there's lots of people in the zizian
00:59:43.420circles who have never been formally accused of a crime so they're only known by the aliases that
00:59:49.960they use online and screen names and such and this is actually part of a wider issue encounter
00:59:56.500of my reporting on on trans violence is that a lot of times it's in the absence of booking photos
01:00:04.420being released and more and more police departments and agencies are not releasing mugshots so you
01:00:12.300have the name but in most liberal jurisdictions they've adopted laws that make it extremely easy
01:00:22.020to change one's identity it's literally just one document that you file in the court and you get a
01:00:28.740legal name change and that process can really obscure for example in my crime reporting
01:00:33.540the criminal history of certain suspects because now they have adopted a new name
01:00:37.740and simultaneously making it harder even as it becomes easier to change your name
01:06:36.460And what showed me that this is more than just an isolated case of a fringe group becoming violent, is that with some of the actions that the group allegedly took, the murder and such, they received praise from mainstream leftists and trans activists.
01:07:02.540who were sympathetic, for example, of the Border Patrol officer being murdered.
01:07:06.980So why was the Border Patrol, I should have asked you, my apologies,
01:07:10.320why was the Border Patrol officer murdered?
01:07:13.480So two Zizine members, Felix Baukolt, who used the name Ophelia, a German national,
01:07:20.000and Teresa Jungblut, she was the youngest member at that time, 20 years old last year, from Seattle.
01:07:32.540they had been observed acting suspiciously in Vermont.
01:11:57.480and what they believe are the best outcomes.
01:11:59.860So when you have that with then sort of a grooming process by Ziz and Zizians in his writings of pulling in certain people, you do eventually get some people who are drawn in and believe they can be heroes.
01:12:17.560And if it takes killing one person to save the animals on earth, the billions of life form, the billions of shrimp that are out there, they're just using a calculation model.0.88
01:14:26.820And she took it out on children at the school.
01:14:31.820And so like standing outside of there, and it was important for me to go because I really, I wanted to go to some of these places where the transviolence actually happened.
01:14:40.080going to Vallejo, seeing the area on the ground
01:16:06.560I don't know how much money that they were able to get, but they did get legal representation, private retain legal representation, and that doesn't come cheap.
01:16:17.000Amazing. How were they seen in Silicon Valley?
01:16:23.020The Cisines seem to be sort of like a dirty secret that a lot of the rationalists and effective altruists in Silicon Valley don't want to talk about because it came from them, from their community.
01:16:35.060i of course i need a caveat that the ea effective altruist community rations community is
01:16:42.860is diverse in the sense that as belief systems it can be apolitical in the sense that it's not
01:16:51.180partisan you can have those who are libertarian or maybe even conservative and those who are on
01:16:59.340radical left as well and the zizian's beliefs are not widely endorsed by the communities there
01:17:08.940but at the same time i wonder if there's any sort of introspection about what that type of
01:17:17.340environment produces i mean you would think it would be in the interest of
01:17:23.420trans groups to distance themselves from trans murderers but they haven't
01:17:29.340Not only have they not, in fact, some of them even celebrate and support the actions of convicted trans killers.
01:17:44.760For example, earlier this year, a man who uses the name Mia, sorry, named Bailey, Mia Bailey, was convicted and sentenced in Utah for the killing of his parents.
01:18:00.420And in the police interrogation video that was publicly released as part of that investigation, he talked about how he didn't believe that his mother was supportive enough of his transition, that she had allegedly contacted the hospital before he was supposed to have some type of trans surgery, informing them that her son was dealing with a lot of issues.
01:18:30.420typically people show up for a self-castration or quote dealing with a lot of issues i think that's
01:18:34.740fair he shot his parents dead and attempted to kill his brother as well shot through the door
01:18:39.620but didn't the rounds didn't hit his brother so he was sentenced um this year to decades in prison
01:18:47.720for those for that double murder and i as part of my research i track what leftist activists say
01:18:55.540And what I saw from a lot of trans activists, the trans Antifa-aligned type people, I call them Trantifa, that's the term I use, they thought that what Mia Bailey did was justified and right.
01:19:11.540They believe that those who are not supportive of one's transgender identity should be eliminated, that's a lot of their view.
01:19:19.540And with the ongoing criminal case against Tyler Robinson, and according to investigators,
01:19:27.180he was motivated to assassinate Charlie Cook out of love and support for his trans furry partner.
01:19:37.020There are trans activists online who have been highly sympathetic to that.
01:19:42.100And so week after week, there's cases of trans-identified individuals who are being
01:19:51.460arrested and charged. And it's getting really no media attention for a number of reasons.
01:19:56.600One, a lot of people aren't even aware that the suspect is trans. And two, in legacy media,
01:20:04.700Yeah, people are essentially trained to cover up.
01:20:09.920I mean, if you read the AP Style Guide,
01:20:13.280and that's the guidance for print journalists,
01:24:23.460And executive order is just a statement.
01:24:25.120He had said something very similar in 2020 when the riots were happening and no action was taken at that time.
01:24:32.980But from there, then the State Department prescribed ban for European Antifa groups.
01:24:41.100So making them designated foreign terrorist organizations, meaning that if you provide support for them, you can be criminally prosecuted in the United States.
01:24:51.240That was the first time an international Antifa group had ever been prescribed by the U.S. government.
01:24:57.220um and then um there was the white house antifa roundtable which i was very fortunate to be part
01:25:06.540of that where i spoke to the president and members of this cabinet about the threat of antifa and
01:25:12.520left-wing violent extremism in the united states um and more recently there was a international
01:25:20.560summit held by the state department in dc on the threat and rise of left-wing terrorism and that
01:25:28.400had officials from dozens of countries around the world participate and the state department then
01:25:34.620also prescribed some more antifa aligned groups in particular an italian one that provided the
01:25:41.760online infrastructure for dozens of antifa websites where they post tactics and strategies
01:27:41.760It was the first time that accused Antifa members of a North Texas Antifa cell have been charged with providing material support to terrorism, attempted murder, and many, many other felonies.
01:27:54.320And it was stemming from a shooting on a ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, on the 4th of July in 2024.
01:28:02.260so there were 16 people who were prosecuted so it was not not only the cell but also those who
01:28:09.000were accused of providing aid like helping the ringleader to escape from the scene of the attack
01:28:14.680they were all federally charged and seven of them pleaded guilty ahead of trial some of them flipped
01:28:22.720and provide testimony and nine went to trial and all of them were convicted collectively they're
01:28:27.880facing around 500 years in prison for all of them. The ringleader of the group was sentenced to 100
01:28:34.120years in prison and they were charged with providing material, they were convicted of
01:28:37.780providing material support to terrorism among other crimes. This case really received not much
01:28:43.360media attention at all, but it was the first ante for federal prosecution and convictions
01:28:48.600in U.S. history. After that, there have been 15... In U.S. history? Yes, it was the first time that
01:28:55.660Those that individuals of the U.S. government accused of being part of an Antifa group have been...
01:29:01.020After everything, all those people killed in 2020, this was the first time.
01:29:05.140When the federal government is determined and also has popular support,
01:29:10.820you can see what the full force of the government really looks like.
01:29:14.760I do understand the feeling that we're not seeing those type of resources
01:29:20.640and tools being used to the same extent by far-left anti-government violent extremists.
01:30:33.060We've seen, at least from the president, talk about the truth of what he sees0.51
01:30:40.660and what, if any of us as I see, is the rise of transviolence.0.53
01:30:47.340But with all the laws that are out there and the legal protections,
01:30:53.540the violent far-left really know how to exploit the laws to protect themselves.
01:31:00.200And I think it's a Sisyphean task for the federal government to really dismantle Antifa.
01:31:11.660Because at the end of the day, even if they criminally prosecute the cells that exist from coast to coast,
01:31:19.380and there are a lot of them that are involved in criminal activity, by the way,
01:31:22.100it's very easy for new cells and autonomous groups to form because the ideology is spreading
01:31:30.680and is growing and it has legitimacy from a lot of Democrats. I was very reluctant to
01:31:36.380come to that view. For a long time, I thought that maybe Democrats were just slightly misguided
01:31:42.760with their rhetorical and legal support for Antifa criminal suspects. But actually, in many
01:31:50.780We've had now, I've had now 10 years of reporting on left-wing political violence in instances where suspects are carrying out violent attacks and still garners the support of Democrats in power, like in Portland, for example, and many, many other jurisdictions.
01:32:10.120My only conclusion is they are completely fine with using these militants as their food soldiers.
01:32:16.380so the antifa ideology has a lot of support there's a lot of money as well you know there's
01:32:24.860questions about money it comes really through people who donate to what they call mutual aid
01:32:32.420causes which is essentially terms for like projects that provide support in one way or the
01:32:38.160other it can be in the form of housing or food or most importantly legal defense they have access
01:32:45.940to a lot of money from rich donors giving and large groups of people donating small amounts i
01:32:52.380mean the amount of money that was raised for example the the texas antifa defendants they
01:32:56.460raised significant funds they've had huge support in left-wing media particularly after the
01:33:02.060convictions it was all this reporting was treating them as people who were sent sentenced to decades
01:33:08.800in prison based on ideology when none of them were willing to report out the facts of what we
01:33:15.880learned at the trial because of all the members who had flipped and provided evidence for the
01:33:21.120prosecution the type of organization that happened the planning the training the gathering of dozens
01:33:26.300of firearms where they met at the safe house before the shooting attack you know and that's
01:33:32.460just one particular anecdote but it's emblematic of how left-wing violence and transviolence
01:33:40.740At least four members, by the way, of that Texas antiphossal or gerons, they are completely protected by many people with money and in positions of power who have the ability to influence.
01:33:54.480That's obvious. May I ask you one last question? Is there, did you run across in your reporting any evidence that the use of cross-sex hormones inspires violence?
01:34:04.520There's a whole chapter in my book looking at all the academic literature.
01:34:08.800The physiological effect of this stuff.
01:34:10.360Seeking to answer this particular question.
01:34:15.600I'm going to say that people who want to know what the academic literature says should read my book.
01:34:20.820But to summarize, there hasn't been enough research that's been done.0.94
01:34:26.300Seems like it would scramble your eggs to have cross-sex hormones injected into your body, no?1.00
01:34:30.560I will say that some of the limited research that has been done has shown that in polling of people who have been prone to radicalization, one of the predictors of that particularly violent radicalization has been a transgender identity.0.93
01:34:51.020And this was research that was done out of Canada, by the way.
01:34:53.300very few people know about some of this academic peer-reviewed research but it's very limited
01:34:59.180because one academics who seek to ask these type of research questions are not supported in their
01:35:06.660academic departments it's all captured you're very familiar with the status of academe two the
01:35:12.600funding for this type of research is not there and three those who dare to in academia to transgress
01:35:19.440against transgender ideology get absolutely destroyed. Academic after academic after academic
01:35:27.180has been hounded out for asking some of these questions about this phenomenon of transgenderism.
01:35:33.740Just the fact that we're seeing a huge explosion in people in the last five to ten years suddenly
01:35:42.700identifying as trans when the numbers before were tiny. What are the questions behind all of this?
01:35:48.560it needs academic research it's not happening there's been some and i dive into that research
01:35:54.740well i mean hormone surges make you crazy that's called the teenage years or menopause or you know
01:36:01.420any time you know radical reduction testosterone levels in men affect their thinking and behavior
01:36:07.420so you it just stands to reason that like massive doses of the wrong hormones who knows what that
01:36:13.500does to you there's been some research on the effects of mood through cross-sex hormone therapy
01:36:21.640and transgender identifying individuals you would not be surprised to hear that increased aggression
01:36:29.500is something that's been observed you think ask anyone who's undergoing treatment for prostate0.80
01:36:35.220cancer where very often testosterone levels are lowered you're like essentially chemically
01:36:41.220castrated as a man yeah and for medical reasons i mean they it's voluntary and and it may be worth
01:36:47.340it but like talk to the guys who go through it totally changes you so like i think we should
01:36:52.980think about the physiological effects of all these chemicals and also ask questions about what
01:36:57.760happens when that is merged with an ideology that tells people to collect wounds and grievances
01:37:06.080and to take up firearms to get revenge.
01:37:10.220Narcissism makes you violent, no doubt.
