The Tucker Carlson Show - Tulsi Gabbard on Dick Cheney’s Lust for Nuclear War, and Why She’s on Biden’s “Terrorist Watchlist”

00:00:00.000 The most interesting and newsworthy television show of the year is coming here to TCN.

00:00:05.900 We are not bragging, that's actually true.

00:00:10.060 The president's been shot. I repeat, the president's been shot.

00:00:13.500 So our longtime producer Justin Wells and a team have been embedded, with no publicity at all,

00:00:18.600 with Donald Trump on the campaign trail for months.

00:00:21.660 They're the only crew capturing what is going on on the campaign, in real time, intimately.

00:00:27.680 They're with Trump as he campaigns for the presidency across the country.

00:00:31.520 And they've shot some amazing footage. It shows you what it's really like in there.

00:00:35.320 So if you're a member, you will soon be able to get this docu-series covering the historic campaign,

00:00:40.160 the fall of Joe Biden, never before seen footage from the assassination attempt

00:00:43.840 at the Butler Township, Pennsylvania, Trump rally, and a lot more.

00:00:47.100 It's going to pull back the curtain completely. They are embedded inside the campaign.

00:00:51.560 I can't wait to see it personally.

00:00:52.940 But to get it first, go to tuckercarlson.com, become a member.

00:00:56.480 The greatest television event of the year. We're proud to offer it.

00:01:00.920 Okay. I want to introduce our next guest.

00:01:28.540 And I know a lot about our next guest because I was there when all of this happened.

00:01:33.900 So our next guest is Tulsi Gabbard. Tulsi Gabbard.

00:01:37.560 Can I just tell you a super quick Tulsi Gabbard story?

00:01:42.040 So Tulsi Gabbard shows up in D.C. about maybe 10 years ago or so.

00:01:45.940 She can fill in the numbers.

00:01:48.060 And Tulsi Gabbard is the single most famous freshman Democratic congressman ever elected.

00:01:53.960 Okay. So the Democrats look at Tulsi Gabbard.

00:01:56.800 She's a military veteran.

00:01:59.280 She's very articulate.

00:02:01.500 She's smart.

00:02:02.980 And everybody just likes Tulsi Gabbard.

00:02:04.540 There's a vibe question about people.

00:02:06.640 And everyone just likes Tulsi Gabbard. 0.67

00:02:08.920 I mean, I've been in a million events with Tulsi Gabbard.

00:02:10.400 People are like, oh, I love you, Tulsi Gabbard.

00:02:11.400 So the talent scouts of the Democratic Party are like, oh, she's going to be president.

00:02:16.320 And so they start writing all these pieces, which ran in, you know, the New York Times, Washington Post, everywhere.

00:02:21.980 Tulsi Gabbard is the rising star of the Democratic Party.

00:02:25.080 So she shows up and this goes on.

00:02:28.660 They make her vice chair of the DNC before she even got to D.C. 1.00

00:02:32.400 And everything's fine for about a year and a half.

00:02:36.900 And one day there's a foreign policy debate about Syria.

00:02:40.900 And Tulsi Gabbard, who has, you know, spent a lot of time in the U.S. military and known people who have been killed in these various wars,

00:02:47.060 pipes up and says, is there a good reason to have yet another pointless war?

00:02:51.760 And within about 15 seconds, Tulsi Gabbard goes from being the future of the Democratic Party to a dangerous fascist who must be imprisoned.

00:03:02.400 And it was watching this that I realized, oh, that's what they actually care about.

00:03:09.220 What they actually care about is the ability to continue to fight pointless wars because that's where all the money is.

00:03:17.400 That's where all the money is.

00:03:18.660 And if you don't believe it, maybe you haven't checked your phone today to see that Dick Cheney and his horrible daughter have endorsed Kamala Harris.

00:03:26.480 Dick Cheney.

00:03:27.780 Now, why is that?

00:03:28.740 What does Dick Cheney have in common with Kamala Harris?

00:03:32.620 And it's really interesting, actually, because they're constantly telling us that the divides are along race and gender.

00:03:38.420 And they were always telling us Dick Cheney is this rich white guy and Kamala Harris is this oppressed woman of color.

00:03:43.980 They've got nothing in common.

00:03:45.560 But actually, they have everything in common.

00:03:48.580 Because they're both neocons.

00:03:50.420 That's exactly right.

00:03:51.520 They have everything in common.

00:03:53.560 And it tells you what a lie this race and gender stuff is. 0.79

00:03:57.560 That's not the divide.

00:03:58.960 The divide is in your heart.

00:04:00.880 And if you think it's okay to kill people in order to get rich, you're on their side.

00:04:05.740 And if you don't, you're on our side.

00:04:07.760 No matter what you look like.

00:04:10.480 And Tulsi Gabbard proved that.

00:04:13.000 And then she began this long journey which culminated in her endorsement of Trump.

00:04:17.720 And I'll let her tell the rest.

00:04:18.860 But we're honored to have her tonight.

00:04:20.120 Ladies and gentlemen, Tulsi Gabbard.

00:04:21.300 Thank you.

00:04:35.160 Thank you for coming.

00:04:36.880 Aloha.

00:04:38.340 Aloha.

00:04:41.160 I love that you came with a lay.

00:04:42.860 That's so great.

00:04:44.340 Got to represent.

00:04:46.280 So I have to.

00:04:48.080 I just feel like I brought up Cheney.

00:04:50.480 You know, there are a lot of bad people in the world.

00:04:51.940 I don't think Cheney is the worst person in the world in the running.

00:04:53.980 But I could think of others.

00:04:55.220 But I don't want that event, the Cheney endorsement, the family endorsement of Kamala Harris, of all people,

00:05:04.340 to pass by without examining its significance.

00:05:07.040 This feels like, if historians were honest, this is an event that they would write about 50 years from now

00:05:12.020 when the actual architecture of the world became clear to everybody.

00:05:15.240 This is what's really going on.

00:05:16.640 This is how it really works.

00:05:17.720 But I'll stop and ask you what you think of it.

00:05:20.480 I have a very simple message for my Democrat friends, my independent friends,

00:05:27.500 those who may not be sure about who they're voting for in this election.

00:05:32.560 Dick Cheney has just made the choice very clear.

00:05:36.980 A vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for Dick Cheney,

00:05:40.420 the architect of everything that has gone wrong in the Middle East for the last few decades.

00:05:47.600 And so it's interesting because if you listen to the New York Times or some of the other mainstream media,

00:05:59.640 they're saying, oh, you know, don't expect much from Kamala Harris in the way of policies and details and plans.

00:06:06.280 And we're not going to know much about what kind of president she's going to be because she doesn't have much time. 1.00

00:06:10.680 They're conveniently ignoring the fact that she's been there working in the White House the last three and a half years alongside Joe Biden.

00:06:20.440 She's been the last one in the room, according to her, as these big decisions are being made.

00:06:25.720 But we look at who she says.

00:06:29.360 Her response to the Dick Cheney announcement today was that she was honored to have his endorsement.

00:06:35.620 And we got military veterans in the house.

00:06:41.760 Got a lot of you who probably served in the Middle East like I did.

00:06:47.820 And so it sickened me, Tucker, to read those words today, both from Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney, and Kamala Harris.

00:06:56.820 Because we have people who we care very much about who were killed in those wars because of Dick Cheney.

00:07:06.580 Kamala Harris has told us all we need to know about what kind of commander-in-chief she would be. 0.52

00:07:17.660 And I don't know about you, but I would not trust her for a moment with the lives of my brothers and sisters in uniform.

00:07:26.680 So you, I mean, you were a sitting Democratic member of Congress and you know them all.

00:07:36.580 Obviously, them all from Hillary Clinton who hates you with a special kind of ferocity. 1.00

00:07:41.480 I think she's called for putting you in prison.

00:07:42.880 This is true.

00:07:43.500 I think she literally wants to put you in prison. 1.00

00:07:45.100 I think she said that.

00:07:46.880 So I'm happy to have you join the exclusive club that I belong to.

00:07:51.260 But like what do they think of this?

00:07:55.060 It's the Democratic Party, at least when I was growing up, was the party of, you know, hold a bake sale.

00:08:00.940 The Pentagon doesn't need more bombers or whatever. 0.99

00:08:02.700 And now it's just kill them all, let God sort them out because we're getting rich doing it. 0.99

00:08:06.840 Are they comfortable with this? 1.00

00:08:08.400 Like what do they think of this behind closed doors?

00:08:10.260 This is, again, showing kind of the realignment where you have Adam Kinzinger and Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney supporting and endorsing Kamala Harris proudly.

00:08:21.120 People who have been neocons and are neocons, not hesitating to say let's go to war in any and all situations, regardless of the cost and consequence.

00:08:31.340 And then you have people like Bobby Kennedy and myself and others who are standing with Donald Trump, not because we agree on every single thing under the sun, but because we agree on the most important things, which are our, which is really about our ability as Americans to live and thrive in a truly free and prosperous society.

00:08:52.560 And we cannot be free or prosperous unless we're at peace.

00:08:58.400 I remember when the war in Ukraine broke out in February of 2022.

00:09:05.960 And I just want to say at the outset, there are tons of people I respect and love and am related to who had very different views of that war than mine.

00:09:13.060 I don't judge anyone who reaches different conclusions.

00:09:15.020 But the one thing that I do judge people on is not caring about getting in a nuclear war.

00:09:22.160 I just have too many children, I guess.

00:09:23.500 And you were one of the first people to say, you know, whatever you think of this conflict or how it started or how it might end, we should be concerned because this is the largest nuclear arsenal on the planet.

00:09:35.120 And we could wind up in a nuclear war that would kill everyone in the world.

00:09:39.220 And I remember that you were denounced as like a Nazi for worrying about nuclear war.

00:09:43.920 And now we're even closer.

00:09:47.020 Does anyone in Washington understand this or care?

00:09:50.280 They don't care.

00:09:52.680 That's a fact.

00:09:53.740 If they did care, they wouldn't speak so easily about the fact that we are closer to the brink of nuclear war than ever before in our country's history.

00:10:02.040 I was warning about this back in 2019, 2020, when I was running for president, talking about this threat, how if we are continuing to wage what then I called a new Cold War, if we're continuing to increase tensions and heighten tensions with other nuclear armed countries in the world, the inevitable outcome of that is nuclear war.

00:10:23.240 And we should all be very clear-eyed about what that means, that if a nuclear missile was headed our way, which, by the way, all of us in this country are within range of a nuclear missile, what happens?

00:10:36.960 You might get an alert, go off on your phone saying, as we did in Hawaii, as you remember back in 2017, we had this missile alert that went off saying, missile inbound to Hawaii.

00:10:48.380 Hawaii seeks shelter immediately, this is not a drill.

00:10:52.760 And so for everyone across Hawaii that morning, there was that thought like, wow, I may only have 15 minutes to live.

00:11:00.800 And just like we're sitting here in this hall here tonight, people may have been sitting on the beach, it was early on a Saturday morning, or making breakfast, or whatever was going on.

00:11:09.940 What do you do?

00:11:11.940 Where do you go?

00:11:13.420 There is no shelter.

00:11:14.760 And therefore, then there is the inevitable realities that if there is a nuclear war, it results in annihilation of all living things.

00:11:25.080 And yet we, so I was talking about this and warning about this when I was running for president every single day, multiple times a day, every single town hall, trying to open people's eyes up and get other candidates for president to talk about this, get the media to talk about this, because no one wanted to do it.

00:11:41.320 I even had a reporter who came up to me who was, you know, they have these reporters who follow the different candidates around, and she came up to me and she's like, Tulsi, you talk about this every single day.

00:11:54.760 Don't you have anything else to talk about?

00:11:56.260 What is there to talk about if we are in the midst of a nuclear arm again?

00:12:08.120 What else is there to talk about?

00:12:10.220 And so fast forward to now where we are today, unfortunately things have gotten far, far much worse, not better.

00:12:15.220 And you have these so-called security experts and defense experts and pundits on television being so dangerous and careless talking about nuclear war and we have these smaller nuclear weapons and we'll just go, we'll drop one and we'll send a strong message and talking about a nuclear bomb as though you can just go lob a nuclear bomb and there will be no consequence.

00:12:37.560 And they are lying to the American people in doing so.

00:12:42.060 It is so incredibly dangerous because it's not, that's not real, that's not rooted in reality.

00:12:48.160 Ronald Reagan and Gorbachev said it best in 1985 when they issued that joint statement together recognizing this risk, saying that a nuclear war cannot be won and should never be fought.

00:13:01.180 And yet we have the neocons, Democrats and Republicans alike, who are eager to push us into this potential of World War III that can only end in a nuclear war.

00:13:13.440 Well, how's this for crazy?

00:13:14.840 Has there ever been a more volatile time in American politics?

00:13:18.800 Not in our lifetimes.

00:13:19.940 No one alive has ever seen anything like this.

00:13:22.580 But long before things started to really fall apart, the Heritage Foundation saw it coming.

00:13:27.740 Heritage has pulled together a coalition of over 100 right-leaning groups to develop a comprehensive plan for day one that would include detailed policy proposals on the most pressing issues, the big ones.

00:13:38.740 Securing the border, controlling inflation, cracking down on election fraud, protecting the rights of the individual and saving the nation from being crushed by woke anti-human ideology.

00:13:49.600 The team at Heritage has also developed a plan to dismantle the deep state that keeps this nonsense going and reclaim this nation from the small group of technocrats that's broken everything.

00:14:00.680 Heritage is also running a training and vetting program to identify effective conservatives to serve in the next presidential administration.

00:14:08.800 People who will share your values, this country's values, and actually do the job.

00:14:13.540 It can't just be the same pool of discredited people from Washington populating every administration.

00:14:20.740 Heritage has a long head start, and they put in a lot of work already, but they need your support to finish the job and to support the incoming president.

00:14:28.220 You can go to heritage.org slash Tucker and contribute to this important work today.

00:14:33.220 A lot depends on it.

00:14:35.400 Heritage.org slash Tucker.

00:14:43.540 So, I mean, people throw around the word demonic, but if that's not demonic, then what is, kind of?

00:14:58.660 If you have no regard for the lives of your own people, then what won't you do?

00:15:05.820 And you talked about this.

00:15:06.840 I mean, there are a lot of people making a lot of money around continuing to, yes, it's fomenting fear, but continuing to push us closer because, okay, well, we have to build new weapons and more weapons and bigger weapons and more powerful weapons.

00:15:23.280 As though, you know, we have over 5,000 nuclear weapons.

00:15:28.060 Russia has, I think, over 6,000.

00:15:31.020 It takes one.

00:15:33.000 It takes one.

00:15:34.120 And the nuclear weapons we have today are many, many, many times more powerful than what was used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

00:15:41.160 That's the bottom line.

00:15:42.180 And this is both what is so dark about this moment that we are in as a country, but also what should give us hope in this election is that it doesn't have to be this way.

00:15:53.920 It doesn't have to be this way.

00:15:55.720 I know you've talked to President Trump.

00:15:57.880 I've talked to President Trump.

00:15:59.560 He has raised it behind closed doors and over and over again in public.

00:16:04.200 The seriousness of the prospect of nuclear war and talked about his commitment to walking us back from the brink.

00:16:12.840 So, really, the choice is ours as voters.

00:16:15.880 And so, as you have conversations with your friends who may not know quite what to do or they're like, I don't know, you know, I don't like the way Donald Trump tweets or what he says, fine.

00:16:25.200 Let's talk about our ability to live, live.

00:16:29.880 Let's just start there.

00:16:34.880 So, I guess I'm repeating the same point again and again because it shocks me every single day.

00:16:41.160 But the ruthlessness and the recklessness of the people currently in charge doesn't seem to have any boundaries at all.

00:16:47.660 And I just am struck by the fact that our foreign policy, which most of us ignore, I spent most of my life ignoring foreign policy, does seem to be driving domestic policy.

00:16:58.740 Right?

00:17:00.280 So, one of the ways that they tried to delegitimize you and threatened actually to criminally charge you was by claiming that you were somehow allied with a foreign government.

00:17:11.300 We just saw indictments this week by the Biden administration meant to cast doubt on criticism of the Biden administration.

00:17:17.920 Oh, it's Russia. 0.78

00:17:19.180 Kamala's losing. 0.98

00:17:20.120 It's Russia again. 0.94

00:17:20.960 I'm worried.

00:17:23.780 I mean, they put a bunch of people I know in prison already.

00:17:26.000 A bunch.

00:17:27.020 I have a friend in prison right now for doing nothing.

00:17:29.020 Steve Bannon.

00:17:31.800 I'm worried that if Kamala Harris wins, lots of people are going to go to prison on the grounds that they are somehow allied with foreign countries.

00:17:42.920 Do you see this happening?

00:17:44.120 As you said, it's already happening.

00:17:47.800 And we've seen how both Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have no hesitation whatsoever to weaponize our Department of Justice and law enforcement in order to put their political, to punish their political opponents.

00:18:02.860 You know, that press conference that Merrick Garland did announcing those indictments, you know, I wasn't surprised, frankly, to see them waving the Russia, Russia, Russia flag as they are revealing their concern that Kamala Harris might not win this election.

00:18:20.800 But what I thought about was, gosh, this is what the attorney general and the FBI director was sitting right next to him.

00:18:30.060 This is what they're focused on.

00:18:32.980 Why aren't they focused on innocent, everyday law-abiding Americans being put on secret domestic terror watch lists?

00:18:46.780 Do you know anybody who's wound up on one of those lists?

00:18:49.820 I have a little experience with this.

00:18:52.740 Will you tell us?

00:18:55.800 So, I travel a lot.

00:18:58.240 I'm on planes more days of the week than I'm probably not on planes.

00:19:03.180 And one day, my husband and I were traveling together, and we got this SSSS on our boarding pass.

00:19:10.260 You know, we have pre-check.

00:19:11.280 Pre-check didn't work and went through all of this additional screening with pre-check.

00:19:15.160 I thought, okay, the TSA guy said, this is random, you know, just be patient.

00:19:21.360 Like, okay, got it.

00:19:22.540 You know, you got to do the thing.

00:19:23.980 And then the next day and the next flight happened again.

00:19:26.960 The next day and the next flight, it happened again.

00:19:29.680 My husband and I split off.

00:19:30.960 He was going one direction.

00:19:32.140 I was going another direction.

00:19:33.260 We both went through it.

00:19:34.460 We were both getting this treatment, and I was honestly getting kind of pissed.

00:19:41.020 There was a whole lot that went into it, but it wasn't until about a week later.

00:19:46.360 I knew there was something going on because once or twice, yeah, okay, maybe, but six, seven, eight, nine, ten times in a row, clearly something was happening.

00:19:54.340 And I talked to a TSA supervisor in one of these airports, and he's looking at my military ID card.

00:19:59.160 He's like, why is this happening to you?

00:20:01.540 You're in the military.

00:20:03.100 I was like, you're telling me, buddy.

00:20:05.440 And he's like, first of all, this is way above my pay grade.

00:20:08.360 But what he shared with me was very revealing, and he said that he had a lot of friends who were Trump supporters who had no problems traveling.

00:20:16.260 Then all of a sudden, all of them started getting this Quad S on their boarding pass.

00:20:20.820 You've got to go 45 minutes through TSA and all this other stuff.

00:20:25.040 And he looked at me, and he's like, there's something fishy going on here.

00:20:29.200 And I was like, yeah, I think I should make some calls.

00:20:31.040 And he said, you should make some calls.

00:20:33.180 And he had no idea that I had anything to do with politics at all.

00:20:37.400 As far as he knew, he had never heard Tulsi Gabbard before.

00:20:40.580 He was just like, military, what's going on here?

00:20:43.220 Air marshal whistleblowers came forward about a week and a half later and provided evidence.

00:20:48.820 They took pictures of the targeting package.

00:20:52.620 For those of you in the military, you know what that means.

00:20:54.660 They took pictures of the targeting package that the TSA made for me that showed I had been added to the secret domestic terror watch list called Quiet Skies.

00:21:06.520 And the words operational was on that targeting package.

00:21:11.320 And unbeknownst to me, I had a little bit of an idea, but unbeknownst to me, for those last week and a half or two weeks,

00:21:18.160 I had had at least three federal air marshals following me and traveling with me everywhere I went.

00:21:24.320 And there were canine teams.

00:21:28.040 There were EOD teams.

00:21:29.960 I was getting swabbed for traces of explosives, not only in the initial going through TSA, but again before even boarding the plane at the gate.

00:21:38.940 I told the guys at the gate, I was like, they just checked me like 10 minutes ago.

00:21:43.700 We got to do it again.

00:21:45.300 It's not them.

00:21:46.160 Clearly, this was an act of political retaliation for my criticisms and warning the country about what kind of dangerous President and Commander-in-Chief Kamala Harris would be.

00:21:58.240 And so this is still going on today.

00:22:00.520 Sometimes I get the Quad S.

00:22:01.700 Sometimes I don't.

00:22:02.700 But I've heard from people who have confirmed that my targeting package is still operational.

00:22:10.680 So, I mean, you're an Army officer, you're a sitting member of the United States Congress, you're a presidential candidate, and you're on the terror watch list.

00:22:21.180 So, and there's nothing you can do about it.

00:22:23.640 So how is that different from any other secret police force in any other country?

00:22:29.220 This is the thing.

00:22:29.760 It's not.

00:22:30.720 It's not.

00:22:31.240 And if we had an attorney general who cared about our freedom, our civil liberties, about the integrity of a democratic republic, where we can speak our mind and express ourselves and criticize our own government, guaranteed by our First Amendment right, perhaps our attorney general and the FBI would be investigating these acts of abusive power and political retaliation.

00:22:56.240 Well, yeah, because if you boil it down, what it means is if you criticize Kamala Harris, people with guns follow you around.

00:23:08.300 Yeah.

00:23:09.360 Yeah.

00:23:09.860 I mean, I'm not the only one.

00:23:11.220 I mean, there's an FBI agent who was a whistleblower because he could not stomach anymore what he was seeing, which was how the FBI was being told to send out heavily armed SWAT teams to go and kick down doors of peaceful pro-life protesters in the middle of the night.

00:23:32.520 But this abuse of power and how the very first counterterrorism, head of counterterrorism the FBI had, he is retired now, but he came out and said it sickens him because the FBI has essentially become the police arm of the Democratic Party.

00:23:50.760 So how is this any different from Venezuela or any other country that's being run by a dictator or an authoritarian leader? 0.65

00:23:58.420 And so, you know, the hypocrisy is so rich.

00:24:02.260 Again, going back to the Cheneys, they say that they have to vote for Kamala Harris because Donald Trump is the greatest threat to our democracy. 0.58

00:24:12.500 I don't know how they say this with a straight face.

00:24:15.720 I really don't.

00:24:16.500 When the current regime has a secret police force that has people with guns hassle its critics, that imprisons its critics, that tries to silence half the country for criticizing them, but Trump, because he criticizes them, is the main threat to democracy.

00:24:35.880 And he has the audacity to talk about things like, hey, we should not be waging regime change wars.

00:24:44.900 We should not be sending our men and women in uniform to go and fight unnecessary, counterproductive wars of choice.

00:24:52.260 That's really why they're coming after him.

00:24:54.340 I just got to, I just back up one moment.

00:25:00.020 So we know that the FBI has been utterly politicized.

00:25:03.540 It doesn't mean every field agent is corrupt.

00:25:05.740 I don't think that's true.

00:25:07.020 It means the leadership is utterly corrupt and it's being used as the, as you said, the police arm of the Democratic Party.

00:25:12.360 So here you have the Republican Party, which controls the House of Representatives and its speaker, Mike Johnson of Louisiana, just refunded the FBI and built them a new building, just rewarded them for this behavior.

00:25:25.360 So you have to kind of wonder if the Republican speaker is on the same side as the police arm of the Democratic Party.

00:25:33.940 We're in trouble.

00:25:35.740 We are in trouble.

00:25:37.240 This, this Quiet Skies terror watch list that I'm on, Congress has never seen who's on the list.

00:25:47.740 How many other secret terror watch lists are there?

00:25:50.200 Wait, Congress can't see who's on the list?

00:25:52.980 Congress has asked for the TSA director to come in and show who's on the list.

00:25:58.120 To my knowledge, to date, and I'm in touch with some of my former colleagues, they have yet to see the list.

00:26:03.400 Senator Rand Paul and many other members of Congress, they sent letters of investigation demanding, show your documentation.

00:26:13.400 If you put Tulsi Gabbard on a terror watch list, you must have a pretty damn good reason for doing it.

00:26:18.460 Show the evidence to Congress.

00:26:20.980 And the deadline passed.

00:26:23.400 They have delivered no evidence.

00:26:25.760 But, but this goes to what you're, what you're talking about.

00:26:28.220 If we don't have leaders with courage who are committed to the Constitution and the interests of the American people first and last,

00:26:38.800 then we end up with what we have in the permanent Washington establishment with people who are more concerned about not ruffling feathers

00:26:46.580 than actually rooting out the deep rot of corruption that has long existed in our government across Democrat and Republican administrations in Congress.

00:26:56.000 That's what we have the opportunity to fix in this election and to begin to start to get things right.

00:27:05.220 Some of the most important things in life are also the easiest to put off.

00:27:10.060 You think about them, you think about them, they seem time-consuming and hard.

00:27:13.320 They're not actually time-consuming and hard, but you just don't do them.

00:27:16.000 But you should.

00:27:17.280 Mowing the lawn, paying the bills, working out, not eating Oreos.

00:27:20.700 The list is long.

00:27:21.760 Shopping for a life insurance policy is something that seems very difficult.

00:27:27.000 Also, something you don't want to deal with or face.

00:27:28.580 Life insurance?

00:27:29.640 That makes me think about death.

00:27:31.980 But you got to do it.

00:27:32.900 You should do it for yourself and your family.

00:27:34.780 And with Policy Genius, it's not hard at all.

00:28:41.200 That's PolicyGenius.com slash Tucker.

00:28:58.540 It does seem like while the rest of us were sleeping, dissent has been reclassified as a crime.

00:29:07.520 And dissent on foreign policy questions has been reclassified as treason.

00:29:14.920 Yesterday, somebody sent me a statement by an editor at Newsweek magazine called Josh Hammer,

00:29:20.580 who was claiming that I was funded by Russia.

00:29:23.160 I was taking Russian money.

00:29:24.740 And I laughed.

00:29:25.580 I don't care what Newsweek, I mean, to the extent it still exists, I don't even know what it is, right?

00:29:30.660 I was taking money from Russia.

00:29:32.000 But my friend said, no, no, no, this is significant because it's a pretext for a criminal charge.

00:29:38.980 Of course.

00:29:40.000 The media, Josh Hammer of Newsweek, whoever that is, acting in concert with the Kamala and Biden administration

00:29:49.400 to set up critics for criminal charges and for spying and for terror watch lists and for harassment

00:29:57.680 and ultimately for prison, I don't think I'm being paranoid.

00:30:02.540 You're not, unfortunately, because there's precedent for it of how they're manufacturing the evidence

00:30:08.040 in order to create the crime that they're accusing you of having committed.

00:30:14.520 You know, this is out of like the Stalin playbook, literally, out of the Stalin playbook.

00:30:22.400 And what's even worse is they're doing it in broad daylight because they really believe

00:30:26.480 that they can get away with it.

00:30:29.160 Well, they are getting away with it.

00:30:31.940 So I have to ask, just to leaven the mood a little bit, what's Hillary Clinton like?

00:30:35.380 Well, you're probably the only person in this room who would know.

00:30:46.980 It wouldn't surprise you to know that she's not too fond of me. 0.77

00:30:51.440 She hates you like the devil hates holy water. 1.00

00:30:53.880 So when I resigned as vice chair of the DNC in 2016, specifically so that I could campaign

00:31:03.800 against Hillary Clinton in that Democratic primary, I was at, I think it was the first

00:31:12.740 debate, the first primary debate that they had, first or second, it was one of the early

00:31:16.540 ones, and I was doing an interview with MSNBC outside the hall of the debate.

00:31:21.440 I think it was in Miami, and I don't remember who the host was, but I could see them and

00:31:26.840 hear them in my ear, and they said, Tulsi Gabbard, you're coming out and criticizing Hillary 1.00

00:31:31.460 Clinton and her foreign policy record.

00:31:33.800 Aren't you afraid of what she'll do to you?

00:31:38.840 He asked me this on live television on MSNBC, and you're laughing.

00:31:45.060 I laughed too.

00:31:46.180 I was like, no, I am not afraid of what Hillary Clinton can do to me.

00:31:56.520 But what was interesting about Washington, though, and you know this very well because

00:32:01.360 you've been there and around these people for so long, I announced this on a show called

00:32:06.740 Meet the Press that's every Sunday morning live.

00:32:09.220 I did not tell a single soul, including the host, what I was going there to say.

00:32:14.420 I said, I will come and break news on your show.

00:32:17.560 I didn't tell a single soul because you don't trust anybody in Washington.

00:32:20.820 No.

00:32:21.200 What I was going there to say, I made my announcement, sent a letter to Debbie Wasserman Schultz,

00:32:29.080 who was chair of the DNC at the time, 30 seconds before I walked out onto set and was going

00:32:34.720 on live TV, and the next day I went back to the House of Representatives, went back to

00:32:39.440 work in Congress, and my Democrat colleagues looked at me like I was a dead man walking.

00:32:45.800 And some of them, you know, came up to me and patted me on the back, and they were like,

00:32:50.720 okay, well, you have zero future in politics, number one.

00:32:54.280 Number two, Hillary Clinton will get elected, and your constituents in Hawaii will not get 1.00

00:33:01.420 a single penny for anything that they need.

00:33:06.280 You did that by coming out against Hillary Clinton.

00:33:10.820 And the third was a guy who came up to me, and he's full of sympathy and even empathy,

00:33:17.120 and he's like, Tulsi, first of all, you know there's a list, right?

00:33:21.240 I was like, no.

00:33:22.260 What are you talking about?

00:33:23.880 He's like, oh, trust me, there's a list, you are now at the top of the list, and I

00:33:28.940 know because I used to be on it, and it took me 15 years to climb my way off Hillary Clinton's 1.00

00:33:35.540 shit list. 0.99

00:33:37.640 How much groveling do you have to do to get off? 1.00

00:33:40.580 I don't even want to know.

00:33:43.560 Apparently, he worked real hard.

00:33:45.060 He worked real hard to get off that list.

00:33:48.700 Why would you, I mean, I don't want to be mean or whatever.

00:33:52.740 However, you're the exception to the rule, but the rule is that you come to Washington

00:33:57.680 and abandon not just your principles, but your self-respect. 0.99

00:34:01.660 Like, how could your spouse love you after watching how craven and disgusting you are, 0.99

00:34:06.480 and yet they all do it? 0.99

00:34:08.140 Why do they do that?

00:34:09.420 Why don't more people just say, no, I believe this.

00:34:11.520 My constituents back wherever I'm from want this.

00:34:14.480 I'm sorry we disagree, but I'm going to represent them.

00:34:17.000 Why does nobody do that?

00:34:19.280 You know, it's a really unfortunate thing that I've seen happen to a lot of people who

00:34:24.160 I've considered friends over the years who go to Washington, maybe with the best of intentions,

00:34:30.600 to go and serve their constituents and serve the country and actually fix what's broken,

00:34:34.700 but very quickly get caught up in this facade of love and adoration and power.

00:34:47.440 I don't know.

00:34:48.100 The first, like, reception that I went to in Washington, I went, and there's a couple hundred

00:34:52.780 people there.

00:34:53.320 I went and stood in line to go get a soda or whatever from the bar, and a guy who was

00:34:57.820 standing in front of me looked back, and he's like, oh, I was not even sworn in yet.

00:35:01.380 I was a representative elect, and he's like, oh, you're a new member of Congress.

00:35:05.100 I said, yeah, nice to meet you, yada, yada, yada.

00:35:06.820 He's like, why are you standing in line?

00:35:09.380 I said, well, there is a line.

00:35:11.700 I'm going to stand in line and wait for my turn.

00:35:13.900 He said, no, you don't understand.

00:35:14.960 That's not how this town works.

00:35:16.920 You are a member of Congress now, and you will never stand in line again in this town.

00:35:23.240 Struck me as kind of a very strange thing to say, but it was that kind of mentality that

00:35:30.720 I saw very quickly turn people who were cool, friendly, normal, to all of a sudden walking

00:35:37.720 through those halls believing the hype, that they were actually so important, that they

00:35:44.160 were above the rest of us, the rest of the little guys.

00:35:48.780 And really how that translates is, oh, who's, you know, what embassy party did you get invited

00:35:54.040 to, or whose table did you sit at at the White House Correspondence Dinner?

00:35:58.440 It becomes about status and popularity amongst those who thrive in that little corrupt Washington

00:36:06.620 bubble, and they forget about why they're actually there and who they're supposed to be serving.

00:36:13.160 And that's why you get all of these, you get these situations where people think that they

00:36:17.380 know better for the American people than we do for ourselves.

00:36:20.260 And they make these decisions that end up serving their own selfish political ambition

00:36:26.100 and their own self-interest or their own pockets, rather than actually just saying, what's the

00:36:30.320 right thing for the people in this country?

00:36:33.360 Do you, again, I don't want to be mean, but you're in a, it's from an outsider's perspective

00:36:40.720 in a tiny, tiny, tiny minority of members of Congress, or in your case, former members of Congress

00:36:46.380 with balanced lives, you know, who have interests outside of just accumulating power, who have

00:36:52.900 close relationships with their family.

00:36:54.940 I know some of your family, and you definitely do have a close relationship with them.

00:36:58.960 You know, I don't know, who love animals, who, you know, have a non-weird sex life.

00:37:03.100 I don't know, just like normal stuff.

00:37:05.220 No, I'm serious.

00:37:05.980 It's like, it does seem like Congress has a...

00:37:09.060 I'm glad we're all friends here.

00:37:11.280 It's true, though. 0.82

00:37:12.560 It's, the percentage of people in the Congress who were just like kind of freaks is really

00:37:17.580 high.

00:37:18.340 Am I, am I right?

00:37:20.220 Do you remember the guy who, who got caught with a photo of him in a furry costume?

00:37:26.400 It could have been anybody.

00:37:27.780 Not me.

00:37:30.140 No, I know.

00:37:31.740 For the record.

00:37:34.280 No, it's, yeah.

00:37:36.740 The, the core of this, really, is that when you have people in a position to make decisions

00:37:44.820 that affect all of us here, and, and frankly, decisions that will affect the world, who are

00:37:51.280 not grounded in a deep sense of a higher purpose, whether that higher purpose is living a life

00:37:59.500 trying to be pleasing to God, or that higher purpose is, let me dedicate my time and energy

00:38:06.860 every single day as a representative of the people to actually work for the people.

00:38:12.160 If you are not grounded in that purpose every single day, you see how people fall for the

00:38:18.780 little false trinkets that are offered in Washington, and how quickly they lose their way, and how

00:38:27.960 quickly they end up serving their, the interests of the lobbyists who, you know, give them a

00:38:34.380 lot of money, or whatever it may be, whoever their influence is, whoever it is they're trying

00:38:38.640 to please, they are not actually trying to please the people, and they, they associate

00:38:44.060 their entire identity with that title that's on the wall, you know, in the door to their

00:38:51.800 office, and they're terrified of losing it, because then if they lose that, well, then

00:38:55.920 they think, well, nobody will love me if I don't have this title.

00:38:59.460 Well, what am I going to do?

00:39:00.460 So then, okay, well, I'm going to do whatever it takes to stay in this position of so-called

00:39:05.440 power, because then people will love me, or people will like me, or people invite, it's

00:39:10.700 just, it's such a twisted mindset, but you can understand in some ways how people will

00:39:15.820 lose that sense of, quote-unquote, normalness that you're talking about, or that groundedness

00:39:21.400 in your family, and in your community, and your relationship with God, and you end up chasing

00:39:26.200 all of the wrong things, and the problem is, you're not just harming yourself, you're harming

00:39:31.460 the people of this country, and that is what is unacceptable, make your own decisions with

00:39:35.460 your own life, fine, live your own life, but you don't get to be, you should not be in

00:39:40.500 a position where you are impacting the lives of the American people when you're really only

00:39:45.120 thinking about yourself.

00:39:46.740 Amen.

00:39:49.340 I do think one of the things that sets you apart from, not all, but many of your colleagues

00:39:56.380 is that you had a spiritual center, you weren't looking for deep affirmation from them or anyone

00:40:02.840 else. Do you think that there's some kind of religious revival, low-key religious revival

00:40:10.440 going on in this country? You travel constantly. Do you feel that?

00:40:13.960 I really do.

00:40:15.220 You do?

00:40:16.000 I do. I feel it here tonight.

00:40:22.840 You've met my husband, Abraham.

00:40:24.820 Oh, yes.

00:40:25.180 The name says it all.

00:40:27.780 It does. He's a cinematographer. He is not into politics at all. He cares very much for

00:40:37.080 others, and he cares very much for our country. He's a very kind person. But I don't ask him

00:40:43.060 to go to political events with me very often, because I know he hates them. He absolutely

00:40:47.060 hates them. But it was funny, because he came with me to an event recently, and he walked out

00:40:53.340 just saying, oh my gosh, everyone there is so nice. People are talking about God in a

00:41:00.580 very sincere and heartfelt way, not afraid to express their faith or their love for our

00:41:07.180 country. And he was sharing this because he's like, man, I remember going to some of those

00:41:14.720 Democrat events with you, and it's the exact opposite. It's the exact opposite. You have people

00:41:20.460 who are angry, people who have almost, and I've seen this, have almost a physical reaction. If

00:41:29.400 someone says God or says, hey, let's open with a prayer, I've seen people walk out of the room.

00:41:35.540 It's a completely different atmosphere.

00:41:37.480 You've seen people walk out of the room because of a prayer?

00:41:39.960 Because they are not comfortable hearing a prayer.

00:41:46.360 Well, that's pretty revealing. That's pretty heavy.

00:41:49.220 It's revealing about them. But also, when you look at, again, we have this realignment that's

00:41:55.240 happening with both political parties. And you look at that mindset of people who, in Kamala

00:42:03.160 Harris and a lot of people in the Democrat elite, who believe they are above the Constitution.

00:42:10.120 You know, all this stuff about, you know, a boy can be a girl if he says he's a girl,

00:42:13.800 this rejection of objective truth and science, what they're really saying, and this is the most,

00:42:19.500 you and I have talked about this, this is the most dangerous thing, is when you look at that

00:42:23.700 mindset, whether they admit it or not, whether they know it or not, they are putting themselves

00:42:28.440 in a position of trying to be God. And therefore, in the most offensive way, are not only rejecting

00:42:37.680 our supreme God, but they are trying to force that upon all of us. And you look at that spiritual

00:42:48.740 erosion that's happening in our country, and you look at how they're trying to erase and even mention

00:42:53.780 of God from all facets of our public life, we can see how those destructive policies are causing such

00:43:01.260 damage to us as a society. Yes. And untold human suffering, which is always the hallmark of evil.

00:43:09.920 Why, when the Biden administration announced Trans Visibility Day on Easter, was there not a

00:43:17.020 national shutdown? People to say, I'm not participating. I mean, that seemed like a line that once you

00:43:23.160 allow the government to cross it, it's not clear where it ends, but nowhere good.

00:43:28.140 It speaks to this culture of self-censorship and fear. It goes back to what we were talking about

00:43:33.220 in the beginning that they've created. That people are afraid, you know, there was a story that came

00:43:38.420 out about a girl who was fired from her job because of a tweet she put out. That people are afraid of

00:43:43.460 losing their job. People are afraid of losing friends or having family members who won't speak to them

00:43:49.880 anymore. If they actually stand up and speak the truth, that's obvious to anybody who's willing to

00:43:56.020 be clear eyed and pay attention to what's really going on. And that is a travesty. And so when you

00:44:02.180 look at why would they put me on a secret terror watch list? Yes, it's political retaliation, but it's

00:44:08.420 more than that. It is to send that chilling message. And I'm not the only one, but to send that chilling

00:44:14.000 message that if you challenge them and you challenge their power, you expose the truth about who they really

00:44:19.740 are and the damage they are causing, then, Hey, we can come after Tulsi Gabbard. We can certainly

00:44:25.840 come after you. Nobody is safe. Well, you are dangerous actually in a true sense, because you

00:44:32.200 tell the truth. So let me, let me, let me end on this. I think your presence is really hopeful is

00:44:36.400 one of the reasons I was so grateful that you agreed to come. Thank you. And, um,

00:44:41.180 because for, you know, all of us who sit at home thinking, you know, no one agrees with me. Things

00:44:50.820 are going completely crazy. The country I knew is gone. You know, you can really work yourself into

00:44:57.560 a frenzy of despair and pessimism. And then you realize, no, actually there are people like Tulsi Gabbard

00:45:06.660 and there are people like everyone in this room who know what's true. Sometimes in a, in a very,

00:45:11.260 you know, low key way, they're not wearing a billboard on the street, but they know they

00:45:15.240 have a, they have a spiritual center and a conscience. And that's the majority of Americans

00:45:19.060 in my opinion. And you're one, but let me just stop with this. Are you feeling hopeful, honestly?

00:45:26.160 And if so, why? First of all, hope comes from real hope comes from knowing in our heart of hearts

00:45:38.900 that God loves us unconditionally. Amen. So God is eternal and he will always love us. Uh, so at a

00:45:47.900 baseline, there is always, uh, he is our source of hope. Uh, I am hopeful while this election will

00:45:55.940 be very close and I am very concerned, uh, given what's at stake and given that we know for sure

00:46:03.980 that the, the, it's more than just the Democrat machine, as we are seeing, it's the warmongering

00:46:09.820 machine. It's the military industrial complex. It's the big propaganda media. It's big tech.

00:46:15.180 They are going to throw everything they possibly can at this election to try to make sure that Kamala 0.99

00:46:20.620 Harris wins. But I am hopeful because of what our founders envisioned for us as a country,

00:46:29.580 that our government ultimately, it exists with the consent of the governed. So the outcome of this

00:46:35.960 election is in our hands, which means the future of our country and our freedom is in our hands. And so

00:46:44.120 I want to encourage you because I know what you're talking about, Tucker, and it is easy sometimes,

00:46:49.180 and I feel it sometimes, you know, where it's just like, man, the forces of darkness are so powerful.

00:46:56.660 Am I really able to make an impact? Am I really able to break through this? And maybe some of you

00:47:03.720 feel this way too sometimes. Don't underestimate the power of your voice and every one of you and your

00:47:12.880 ability to influence those around you. Because every one of you has people, whether it's family or

00:47:18.520 friends or co-workers or if you're in school, students, people who know you, who trust you,

00:47:24.600 who will listen to you, but who may be feeling a little bit lost with everything that's happening

00:47:30.860 in the country, the onslaught of news and all of this stuff that's going on. Don't underestimate

00:47:37.060 your voice and your ability to share what's in your heart, what you're concerned about for our

00:47:42.920 country and why you're voting the way that you are. Because this election, unlike any other in

00:47:48.520 my lifetime, it's not about Democrats versus Republicans. That's not what this is about.

00:47:54.140 This is about something much bigger. This election, again, we're not going to agree on every issue.

00:48:01.140 Don't be afraid of that. Don't run away from that. We can have conversations and we should have

00:48:05.720 conversations about things we agree and things we disagree on. We will not be able to have those

00:48:10.440 conversations if we are not living in a free country. And that's what's at stake.

00:48:18.160 So I encourage you to share with those in your circles, in your spheres of influence,

00:48:24.780 this is not about personalities. This is not about who you like or who you dislike. This is a choice

00:48:32.240 between freedom and tyranny. This is a choice between peace and war. This is a choice between

00:48:41.200 prosperity and poverty. Don't take my word for it. Look at the facts and look at the records between

00:48:49.840 Donald Trump and Kamala Harris and you will know that what I am saying is true. It's up to us to save

00:48:56.240 our country and save the world and to defend freedom. We can make this happen. We the people

00:49:02.200 can make this happen. This is our no-fail mission. You can take a nap on November 6th. Work your phone,

00:49:11.980 talk to your friends. We have to do all that we can.

00:49:16.300 Amen. Tulsi Gabbard, ladies and gentlemen, thank you.

00:49:19.780 Thank you, Tucker. Thank you, everybody.

00:49:26.740 The big tech companies censor our content. I hate to tell you that it's still going on in 2024,

00:49:32.580 but you know what they can't censor? Live events. And that's why we are hitting the road on a fall

00:49:44.540 We'll be in Salt Lake City with Glenn Beck, Tulsa, Oklahoma with Dan Bongino,
