00:00:00.000 you're looking young there man have you been using like a do you use a toner or anything
00:00:05.360 like that like a facial toner no no not at all not at all you know when i was young we used to
00:00:12.100 uh we used to my dad would take us over to the funeral parlor and um and you know we would do
00:00:22.740 like uh you know and it was sad and everything but on top of that we would do a have a candy
00:00:28.140 or something try to hide a candy in the coffin of whoever was you know being buried or being
00:00:34.800 you know deceased whoever was deceased or being buried if and a lot of back then i mean something
00:00:41.940 sometimes probably three or four percent of the people you don't know if they were fully dead or
00:00:45.760 not you know you kind of trusted people's family back then they said hey they're dead you know come
00:00:51.100 on over and you know we're gonna box them up for god you know kind of deal but
00:00:57.060 um and we would try to sneak a candy in the end of the casket you know try to slip a gumdrop in
00:01:05.580 there or slip a uh gobstopper in there um because i guess the way we envisioned it is you you would
00:01:14.160 see you would think you know then later on you know a week later you'd be just by yourself relaxing or
00:01:21.300 you know spending time with an animal or something just you know we're looking around or just doing
00:01:27.060 anything and you would think oh that god got this person and then he found the candy in there
00:01:34.820 like a like a little treat you know like a snack or something like that you know i think we used to
00:01:42.820 envision god kind of opening up the coffin and getting that little snack being like oh yeah here's
00:01:47.120 one of my soldiers but also you know here's half a handful of good and plenty that somebody snuck in

00:02:19.060 time capsule for christ or anything like that through church you guys do a you know send a
00:02:24.720 rocket up to god or anything was there any fun stuff like that you did as children um not not for uh
00:02:30.720 religious purposes but i mean i've done time capsules i've done rockets um my dad's a rocket

00:07:08.480 and man we had a lot of drunk outdoors people uh
00:07:12.080 i was in cedar rapids iowa probably 48 hours ago
00:07:19.440 and shout out to the fella some fell out that brought me a a half pint of fresh squid ink
00:07:26.000 you could still still the jar was still a little wet on the outside
00:07:29.120 and shout out to that guy and the other guy some fella brought me a um 1.00
00:07:35.280 this special rock kind of like a rock you heat it up in the microwave or something and it's got
00:07:41.040 you know keeps the devil off your back and keeps uh helps you with the pulmonary blood flow
00:07:46.880 so i appreciate that i want to say thank you to both of that fella the jeweler and the other guy 0.99
00:07:51.280 the oceanographer whatever the underwater writer whatever the guy with the damn 0.91
00:07:57.360 ink and they gave me hell man bringing you bring a fresh thing of squid ink back through uh tsa they 0.98
00:08:04.720 don't know how to handle it they don't know if you're you know just a big fan of the perfect storm
00:08:11.520 or they don't know if i mean they just don't they didn't know what to do you know they really really
00:08:18.560 didn't know what to do over there but i told them just honestly i said hey
00:08:21.520 this is a gift okay i'm not the kind of i'm not the kind of fella that runs around with fresh squid
00:08:28.240 ink so raleigh mouse here what'd you get into this weekend raleigh uh just a few uh music videos okay
00:08:37.600 it's a lot of fun okay um yesterday we just did six songs in five hours um at a studio down in
00:08:45.440 laverne tennessee okay and now you guys are like when you get out there do you bring your own lunch
00:08:51.440 with you or you eat lunch on site or how do you usually handle meal time i just ate before and then
00:08:57.200 i had down there and because you've mentioned you'll forget to eat when you work yep all the time um
00:09:04.960 luckily this time i didn't i ate before i left i left i did the shoot and then we all went afterwards
00:09:10.800 okay a little team outing huh oh yeah okay and now uh what's your bedtime usually what time you
00:09:17.760 usually nod off in the evening oh man two three in the morning oh wow yeah oh wow and what's the
00:09:25.440 cause of that is there any is there something you're staying up you waiting for something or you
00:09:29.920 what happened yeah so i'm either editing or i go to the gym at like two in the morning um
00:09:36.320 because that's like the prime time of nobody's there okay really nice especially during covet um
00:09:42.160 but yeah that's the main reason the gym and do you get nervous do you have body nerves or something do
00:09:47.120 you you have what is that what would you not want people singing you no at that hour i mean you have
00:09:52.320 do you get nervous about your body no it's just the smaller gym so there's not as much um equipment
00:09:58.560 and so you would have to wait for someone oh yeah and so sometimes i would go out with my roommates
00:10:03.040 um and we would go at like 5 p.m because like that's the only time we can go um because they
00:10:09.840 like closed earlier or whatever like on the weekends um but yeah it's just too crowded there's not a lot
00:10:17.200 of space so that's why i like going at night there's like nobody there yeah i remember i used to go to
00:10:23.440 the gym you had to bring the barbells with you and we'd get in my buddy's car and he'd have probably
00:10:27.680 about 360 pounds of barbells in his car and then the bottom of his car actually ended up rotting out
00:10:33.520 because of the weight and also because of rust he had some rust issues uh with the vehicle but
00:10:40.080 anyway man what else is going on uh not too much really you know just kind of adapting went over
00:10:46.160 there to cedar rapids and now that if you guys aren't familiar cedar rapids has been devastated by
00:10:52.080 something called a derecho and that is a mexican land hurricane and the real the crazy part is is that
00:11:02.880 you know for all of the yard and outdoor
00:11:09.440 kind of outdoor finessing that a lot of latino and specifically mexican people do
00:11:19.680 it's crazy that then a mexican storm would come and just ruin 0.98
00:11:28.320 really a lot of the efforts and hard work i mean you know you you we we rode across town before the
00:11:34.960 storm and uh and or before the show and they had i mean you'd see a you know a tree everywhere
00:11:43.920 everybody had an extra tree in their yard but it wasn't theirs it had come from somewhere else
00:11:49.360 displaced trees you had somebody you know you'd have a woodpeckers just flying or didn't know what
00:11:54.800 what to do you had woodpeckers just kind of like oh you know have their wings up in there like that
00:12:00.880 don't know what's going on because trees had been just i mean misplaced displaced mia
00:12:08.000 i bought a carton of milk on the side there was a picture of a tree on it
00:12:11.120 people hadn't seen it you know it just it just a lot going on over there and it just really
00:12:17.680 devastated a lot of the town a lot of the city so um oh sorry
00:12:26.960 that's my alarm i set
00:12:31.760 um
00:12:33.760 so that was interesting man but then we got out there man and we put it together out at the amphitheater
00:12:37.920 amphitheater i mean and they had it set up beautiful you know this is an amphitheater
00:12:43.200 and amphitheater basically is i mean this it was just i mean right on the river the river's right
00:12:49.920 there and you probably had maybe 1100 people came out and just a real i mean it was just a good time
00:12:57.840 it was a perfect night for it and you know it just felt good people to get out people had driven in
00:13:04.560 you know they i met a mexican kid actually who from georgia driven in and he had a southern
00:13:10.880 exic a southern accent like a red nexican or something they call them you know um 0.70
00:13:17.840 and i'd never seen it before and i kept making him talk and we even tickled him a little
00:13:22.400 little to hear him giggle you know and kind of like a pseudo kind of you know kind of uh
00:13:29.520 georgia spanish kind of you know because you don't see it you don't see a lot of that
00:13:36.480 do you see a lot of cross-racial stuff going on you with you amongst your friends you guys have any
00:13:41.360 you have any you know a black friend that sounds swedish or a you know a southern kid that has like
00:13:46.960 a mexican accent do you you guys seen a lot of that rally not that extreme but i have friends
00:13:52.960 um or i have seen people that are um that are either like for example they're asian but they
00:13:58.480 have british accents oh yeah um i i see that all the time actually trickery where do you see that at
00:14:04.800 what do you mean like where do you see it are you in part of a club or a group is this a meetup
00:14:08.880 yeah i mean i i see like i sometimes hear people like when i'm walking down broadway
00:14:13.760 um and i just look over and it's an asian dude and he's just you know talking british i was like
00:14:20.160 do you try do you believe him yeah yeah because like he's he's not um he's not like joking around
00:14:26.640 he's just talking to his friends and like i don't know one point he was talking about his family or
00:14:30.640 something so i was like okay that's like his voice um same thing with the guy that i watch on youtube
00:14:35.680 named kai kai w um that's his user um that's his uh channel name and he does all these tech reviews
00:14:43.520 a black guy no he he's asian okay but i didn't know he was asian um like because there's black
00:14:49.120 asian now you'll see dark asian out there oh right yeah i would see that it's great i mean it's just 1.00
00:14:53.840 you can't even if you want to be racist still it's hard right you gotta have i mean you got almost do
00:15:00.960 you gotta you gotta read up on stuff exactly you can't even be you know when i was young at least
00:15:08.960 you could just be racist you know it was easy it was organized it was you know boom boom boom no no
00:15:15.360 no you know right but then now it's like yeah you got you know you got the vietnam english you know
00:15:22.800 you don't know what this guy's gonna do right you know what i'm saying he's blowing you know he's
00:15:27.760 playing a flute and they got the basket with a snake and the snake is named winston churchill
00:15:32.640 like you just don't know everything's mixed up you know you got the the japanese and you know you
00:15:40.560 got a guy who's swedish in japan and japanese you know you got a guy from um alabama you know who's
00:15:48.800 also 100 german and this guy's alaberman it just doesn't end it just it's getting the waters are getting
00:15:58.240 muddy right you know i mean you can't even do a hate crime anymore really unless you have i mean
00:16:05.920 you gotta have you almost have to have the ancestry 23 paperwork you gotta have you gotta call somebody's
00:16:11.760 grandparents you gotta just get so much confirmation it's not even worth the gas money you're gonna
00:16:16.160 spend to drive across town and burn down somebody's front porch or whatever it's just different times
00:16:23.280 man we had a lot of nice calls that came in though man let me hit this hotline real quick
00:16:27.840 nine eight five six six four nine five zero three is a hotline and um just people calling in and
00:16:36.160 just sharing a lot of different thoughts as we've migrated into this new territory over here
00:16:42.480 and uh in the central east gang yeah what up dude uh i just wanted to say i respect you a lot um
00:16:52.800 i know how it is to relocate and put a lot on the line just because of an idea and uh that's how you
00:17:05.280 get anything done that all starts with an idea and i know it's probably really uncomfortable right now
00:17:10.800 being out of your comfort zone and and being new to nashville but i just want to let you know
00:17:16.720 that you are on the forefront of starting something really cool outside of los angeles
00:17:24.160 uh and well thanks man i appreciate it you know it's uh you know i i definitely had a week uh
00:17:32.960 where i was real real scared actually like what am i doing um and that was actually last week
00:17:39.120 you know uh just what am i doing um and i realized part of it was i wasn't really making as much uh
00:17:49.600 effort you know not only do i need to go somewhere not only do i have to try to get work going
00:17:57.360 but then also i need i need to be active you know i need to actively be trying to bring joy into my life
00:18:04.720 each day um and so that's one thing that you know i got back from cedar rapids uh yesterday and that's
00:18:13.600 one thing i've been trying to do since i since i've gotten back and it's just one of my goals now it's
00:18:17.280 like well how do i you know how do i really i want to be able to say i gave um that i've given
00:18:26.000 sorry if i'm i'm doing some belches because i've had a uh zero calorie soda
00:18:33.920 but um i want to be able to say i've given this my uh my best foot forward
00:18:41.040 you know that's what i want to be able to say and so you know i got in last night i was feeling kind
00:18:45.680 of a little bit bummed out i said you know what i'm gonna make myself a spaghetti dinner
00:18:50.480 you know do this grill up you know boil the noodles and then grill them
00:18:55.040 i do grilled spaghetti that's how i do it a lot of people do this old-fashioned just straight up wet 0.99
00:19:00.560 shit dude eff you all son i'm grilling the spag dog that's how i do it i i knew you know i get the 0.99
00:19:09.680 the meat was good then i grill them up hit them with the meat sauce 1.00
00:19:15.840 and uh so i made myself some spaghettis did some running did some uh yoga after
00:19:23.280 and now i'm just batting and then just decided you know what i'm gonna go to bed at a decent hour
00:19:29.600 um and i read i did a little bit of reading i'm just you know i'm gonna i'm gonna try to like
00:19:35.360 actually like say hey man do some things to make to take care of yourself
00:19:41.040 you know i think that will help making make being in a new place easier no matter where it is
00:19:47.520 and i read a book too i'm reading it actually it's not fully read but this book is partially read by me
00:19:54.480 so far and a book by mike lindell you heard of this fellow riley mail i have not you read a lot
00:20:02.240 sometimes it depends depends what i read sound like you don't read that much but i'll tell you
00:20:08.400 right now about this book this book by mike lindell is my pillow you ever heard of my pillows
00:20:15.520 the the tv commercial my pillows yeah yeah so the man was doing crack the man was a crack addict
00:20:22.880 for at least 190 pages of the book he's smoking crack he can almost smell the crack it would almost
00:20:28.160 be cool if they had put a scratch and sniff on the page we could smell a crack a little
00:20:33.440 because i've never smoked crack to be honest with you but i always wish that i had
00:20:39.520 um but anyway throughout the book he's smoking crack and he's doing this and that and he's struggling and
00:20:48.320 um man it's a fascinating story the story is fascinating people i know sometimes on
00:20:53.680 on twitter give the guy a hard time you know he's a pretty devout republican and he's um
00:21:00.000 uh i don't know what else he is i mean he i think he's a vikings fan but the man was smoking crack and
00:21:09.040 then made one of the most successful pillows of all time you know name another can you name another
00:21:15.120 pillow riley um yeah the uh what do you call it um
00:21:23.840 why can't i think of it you can't think of it because you can't think of it dude and that's why
00:21:28.320 the uh therapy therapeutic um no no nope that's a mattress you're talking tempurpedic yeah you're
00:21:36.560 right yep pillow is just for your head mattress is for your body right and so what i'm telling you
00:21:41.840 about is this man was smoking crack and then he made one of the most successful pillows of all time
00:21:47.760 and that doesn't happen on accident
00:21:52.320 that doesn't happen on accident if you're smoking crack for 20 30 40 years
00:22:01.840 the odds of you making one of the most successful pillows of all time is very small
00:22:11.840 and so what i'm saying is man and i appreciate the call and what i'm saying is just like yeah
00:22:18.640 it's hard to you know sometimes you got to take that chance but not only that you got to put your

00:25:18.720 right now to get started all right let's take this call right here
00:25:23.040 theo this is luke calling from the southern indiana louisville area luke
00:25:29.280 i think you're gonna like living along the i-65 you know you can go all the way up to chicago go down
00:25:39.440 to the beach uh but well i appreciate you saying that also i would like to say anybody who i love
00:25:46.480 you luke but also anybody who references you're gonna love living along a certain interstate
00:25:51.200 is 95 out of 97 times a serial killer i think that's safe to say
00:26:02.560 i think that's safe to say you know anybody that's been serial killed riley i don't no
00:26:09.440 well live a little brother i have two friends who's have uh family members have been victims of
00:26:14.720 serial killers or sk as they call them let's hear more luke but you know there's a lot of people calling
00:26:19.760 in about getting sober and then uh just having a void there and i think riley would agree with me
00:26:26.880 that that void could be filled in a church community uh nashville's full of a bunch of
00:26:31.760 really great churches i've been down there and a few churches and uh you know even i know you've
00:26:38.160 been to church before and even if you're not religious you know i think there's a lot of good
00:26:42.000 people there and amen brother i appreciate that suggestion and there's a ton of churches here i've
00:26:49.120 made a bunch of u-turns usually in church parking lots because they're empty a lot of times and you
00:26:54.640 can and they're everywhere so especially here out here in the central east you'll see that sort of
00:26:59.200 deal you'll you know a u-turn is popularly done in a church parking lot which isn't bad either because
00:27:06.400 you kind of zip through you know you get in there get a little you know get that quick head of the
00:27:11.840 lord in your brain and then you're back out on your route but i appreciate that man i love you know i
00:27:19.280 love churches you know i love uh you know i love the camaraderie when i was growing up my dad used to 0.99
00:27:28.640 take us over there to the presbyterian church and he would uh put his business cards in the damn 0.58
00:27:34.400 uh basket that went around you know the dollars for god basket he'd throw his business card in 0.95
00:27:44.080 there he always thought it was they were grabbed they were uh drawing for free lunch
00:27:50.160 so he'd throw a couple business cards in there and he didn't have any business my dad didn't even have
00:27:54.320 business his business card had his name on it and his phone number so i mean i don't i guess i guess
00:28:01.520 that's business i don't know this was back when you know in these eight these times if you were
00:28:06.080 even a man you were considered doing business just by the simple fact of being male you were considered
00:28:17.520 a businessman oh he does business that fella look at him the guy with the beard with the wiener oh
00:28:24.400 that means business and so i guess he would throw the card in the church in the money basket i don't
00:28:30.400 know what he thought but he never won a lunch or anything like that but i used to love it you
00:28:36.080 know i used to love also going to the church and doing the easter egg hunt
00:28:42.160 and my brother was fast and he had dark skin and people would say oh look at that
00:28:46.320 look at a little puerto rican fella getting all the eggs 1.00
00:28:48.800 but it was different times man
00:28:56.800 riley now i know you have uh japanese roots eggs are sacred in japanese don't you guys have fabergé
00:29:01.520 eggs and you know a lot of times a certain i'll see a designed egg um i honestly i don't even know
00:29:09.920 what that is i've never seen one um yeah wow i have no idea what you're talking about wow i'm sorry
00:29:18.880 that's all right man why know your history that's the thing about kids now they don't need to know
00:29:23.440 their history who cares how'd you get here i don't know space shuttle who's your dad elon musk
00:29:29.360 every it doesn't matter every kid thinks it was born in a tesla
00:29:34.480 you know their baby crib is tesla baby they don't even know they power down at 2 a.m
00:29:44.320 they don't need lunch are these people human anymore
00:29:50.000 that's my big question sorry to put that on your rally but no totally fine but you got to know that
00:29:57.040 number one you know when i was young a lot of times we would learn about different cultures in school
00:30:04.240 you know and not that often but every now and then they have us make a fabergé egg
00:30:10.480 and it's a special type of asian egg where they draw the history of asia on the outside of it
00:30:17.280 so you'll see a fellow on a cruise you don't want a ship or on a you know you'll see somebody doing a
00:30:23.760 you know hitting somebody with a sword or a you know somebody at a temple you know just history
00:30:29.680 and they put it on the egg
00:30:34.480 let's take another call that came in here thanks for the good wishes though man and i do think uh
00:30:39.040 you know there's a lot to be found at church actually and actually riley you might know do you have a
00:30:42.880 you know is there a special memory you have from church as a child you know
00:30:49.760 man i've got many um like i said in one of the previous episodes my um my home church is east side
00:30:57.280 east side church and church and okay it's a big mega church and like our worship is just amazing
00:31:03.200 our christmas services are super spectacular they're so unique do you have real animals in
00:31:09.440 them no unfortunately not um we're not one of those kind of churches yet at least i don't know if they
00:31:16.000 have i don't know if they ever will but i don't think they will yeah i've been to one i bought tickets
00:31:20.480 to the one out there in california had real animals at it dang real animals real elephant
00:31:26.800 real giraffe baby coming right down the aisle wow yeah pretty crazy yeah they had a um 0.99
00:31:32.240 um they had a camel actually that defecated on the stage and then it got sick and they had to have a
00:31:38.800 they had to suspend one of the services but um anyway tell me more about what you were saying
00:31:44.640 yeah and what's a specific memory something you enjoyed um i i would say definitely the all the
00:31:50.960 christmas services because they're not just our normal christmas or our normal services or normal any
00:31:56.960 christmas services that you see anywhere else like we've got snow coming from the ceiling we've got
00:32:01.280 like we go all out but there's always this one tradition where um at the end we always sing
00:32:07.520 silent night together three times oh three time in a row three times in a row yep you can't forget
00:32:14.640 it exactly see when i was young they sing it one time and you knew it
00:32:25.280 and that's the difference now you got to sing silent night three times for the youngsters
00:32:31.280 that's the day it just you if you want it to have it if you want to have a real sentimental imprint
00:32:37.760 you you just got to hit them hard you got to hit them hard y'all do the egg hunts over there
00:32:45.840 for easter yeah um no well are you talking about church or like just in general church uh church no
00:32:53.520 okay okay well could be a good church could not be a good church i'm not saying anything about east side
00:32:59.920 man you know they sound like it sound like a great outfit but it you know hide an egg
00:33:08.480 hide an egg if you want to keep the kids involved that's what that that was a motto by our church but
00:33:12.560 um all right let's hear one more call that came in man hey theo this is ben smith not arkansas
00:33:22.080 ben smith thank you for calling brother i appreciate it man and arkansas is a good place a lot of geodes
00:33:28.960 up there and geodes or geodes i'm not even sure how you pronounce that geodes geod onward
00:33:39.760 i just poured the morning coffee it's uh tuesday morning about to head into work have some quiet
00:33:46.320 time first man i just wanted to say uh congrats on moving to uh the central part of the country
00:33:52.880 it's a good place uh i'm excited for you to experience fall in tennessee man we're almost there
00:33:59.600 it's gonna get cool weather all the leaves are going to change colors everybody's favorite time of
00:34:05.120 year you know yeah hey man i just wanted to say also uh you know moving to a new spot is hard i've
00:34:11.600 moved around a bunch um to some weird places i got to live in central america for a while i lived out in
00:34:18.640 arizona uh well i'm gonna jump out on a limb here man but if you're living in central america in arizona
00:34:27.600 it sounds like you're trying to be mexican or spanish or latino
00:34:34.480 so i don't want to check in uh you know
00:34:39.120 you know i don't want to body check you up in a coat of arms but
00:34:43.040 you know you might want to look at your roots and make sure what's going on is what's going on
00:34:47.280 because it sounds like you might be maybe you were adopted
00:34:49.920 you know i don't just get called to a certain area you know if i find myself hanging out in
00:34:57.440 cameroon or uh nigeria
00:35:01.760 after a while i'm gonna start wondering you know who my real father is brother onward moved around a
00:35:07.280 little bit and man you know it's it's hard being somewhere for a while at first you know
00:35:13.760 it uh it takes a while to get into that rhythm so um hang in there dude and and uh know that this is
00:35:21.440 like probably the uh the hardest part of moving to new places is the time you're in right now so
00:35:31.760 well thanks man it's nice of you to say that yeah yeah i think some of it is you know i find myself
00:35:37.680 at night i want to i want that's when i get because you have more free time here
00:35:44.400 you know in los angeles you know a lot of your time is spending traffic
00:35:49.120 or you know or just crying in your car or um you know there's just a lot of separation between
00:35:56.800 things there's no parking when you get somewhere so you have to park a block away and
00:36:00.640 you know it's just there's a lot of barriers between you and comfort
00:36:10.000 and i'm not judging the place i'm not saying that look man when i went home last week for
00:36:14.320 three days i went to the beach and i loved it i mean i loved every second of it
00:36:21.440 you know i don't know if i've ever felt closer to god in my life than just laying out there
00:36:25.440 after having just got out the water and just laying out in the sun out there
00:36:29.200 you know just laying face down in the sand you know
00:36:34.720 i mean i was at peace you know something big lady even thought i was a deceased body 1.00
00:36:39.280 came up and pushed my body thought i was deceased
00:36:43.680 so i don't know how many closer to god you can get than being
00:36:46.640 than people thinking you're deceased you know 0.99
00:36:49.760 i mean hell my brother would have hit a damn mint under my body 0.94
00:36:56.000 but um but i do notice you have more time in a place uh in a place like nashville you have more 0.97
00:37:03.440 time it's just easier to get around things are quicker and faster and you get more time
00:37:11.360 so um so i found myself around eight eight at night i'm like ah what do i do
00:37:20.160 you know i have a couple friends here through a a program and so they don't you know
00:37:23.280 they ain't doing nothing they trying not to masturbate or trying not to drink you know 0.64
00:37:28.720 so we're not all like oh let's go meet up at this joint
00:37:32.880 so you're just kind of like trying to find things to do
00:37:38.000 so that's kind of the toughest moments
00:37:42.960 you know my toughest thing was
00:37:44.720 last week i was struggling with masturbation really the past two weeks i also tried testosterone
00:37:51.280 replacement
00:37:53.840 i tried testosterone replacement and uh
00:37:58.000 i mean it just makes you just i mean it just
00:38:03.200 it just gives you so much virility 1.00
00:38:04.960 i mean it'll make your penis reach for a damn deck of cards i mean it just 0.99
00:38:11.520 it's so it just i mean it just brings your body to life 1.00
00:38:18.240 and so suddenly you're more 0.99
00:38:22.080 you know you'll just be doing nothing and your penis will jump into your own hand it's just more 1.00
00:38:27.040 it's not that good so i don't think i'm going to take it anymore 0.99
00:38:32.080 um it makes your hair thinner you know i don't i didn't like that i find extra hair
00:38:38.080 sitting around and i need my hair you know i definitely like having hair so that's really strange um
00:38:48.160 and
00:38:50.800 what else about it
00:38:55.280 oh uh you also they have it's it's injection based it's injection based you know and um i used to do
00:39:05.600 steroids when i was young uh
00:39:09.600 you know we used to shoot you know a lot of people know me and my
00:39:12.880 buddy um
00:39:14.640 billy conforto r.i.p
00:39:18.240 and he died and he was one of the
00:39:20.960 premier bus boys in america
00:39:23.680 also probably one of the top
00:39:26.240 i would say 40 gay prize fighters
00:39:29.680 or gay boxers 0.86
00:39:31.840 fist fighters 0.88
00:39:32.560 in i would say in the 1990s
00:39:38.800 in america and maybe in the world i would say in the world
00:39:44.000 top 40 homoerotic fist fighters
00:39:47.760 in
00:39:49.520 i would say in first world countries and uh i don't know second world 0.99
00:39:54.160 you get into a second world country bro you get down there in ecuador bro and a gay dude will beat 1.00
00:39:58.560 the hell out of you bro it's nothing that's casual that's dancing that's dancing for them 0.99
00:40:06.560 um but
00:40:08.960 what was i talking about
00:40:09.920 oh
00:40:16.560 so yeah you also have to take this other
00:40:19.040 drug with it they have a drug also that um because if you take testosterone it will
00:40:25.360 it makes your
00:40:26.960 gonads they call them gonads on the internet but really it's your nuts
00:40:30.400 and it makes them smaller and so you take another drug that makes your
00:40:39.120 basically makes your gonads regular size it's kind of like a fluffer
00:40:45.600 it's like uh you ever put a little air in your bike tire a little it's like that
00:40:52.480 just like that man
00:40:53.520 but um but anyway i'm just real i just don't think it's for me so
00:41:01.040 i uh
00:41:03.680 so i'm gonna quit taking it you know i've tried it out it's been about a month maybe six weeks
00:41:13.040 and i just don't i think the hair i don't want to lose my hair and
00:41:18.560 i i don't know i don't know if i notice a lot of other benefits and stuff from it really um
00:41:29.760 so
00:41:32.560 and then if you take the the the secondary drug that they have if it whenever you take that it makes
00:41:39.920 your
00:41:41.520 kind of makes your nuts feel like somebody hid something in them
00:41:44.480 it makes kind of it makes your nuts feel like somebody just blew all their breath like somebody just
00:41:55.520 like blew one mouth full of breath right in it's like you got this kind of
00:42:01.200 you know it's like you got this uh
00:42:07.520 it's like a full it's just like somebody just puffed your nuts up a little so i don't like that
00:42:12.640 feeling it's like you're hot it's like somebody hit an easter egg right in your 0.98
00:42:16.080 crotch or something in your nuts and that makes me feel uncomfortable i don't like that feeling it 0.96
00:42:21.920 just feels fake so anyway so that's my experience with it you know when it's not um 0.71
00:42:30.960 and you get it there's different ways you can get the testosterone replacement it's for sale
00:42:35.120 everywhere now and so i wanted to try it out uh and
00:42:40.400 and and the injection part is a little weird like it i don't trip out on it that much because i did
00:42:46.480 it when i was young you know to body build so it's just a low dose but it does make me feel
00:42:56.560 you know uncomfortable i feel like um and it just the upkeep of it and stuff i just don't feel like
00:43:02.400 it's for me that's kind of the conclusion that i've come to so um
00:43:09.680 but yeah man i think if i find a good church i think that that that that's a good idea
00:43:14.800 you know so i appreciate that man um
00:43:21.120 what else was i talking about you ever done any injectable drugs raleigh mal
00:43:25.280 i mean unless it's for surgery um the uh what do you call it the thing that makes you go to sleep
00:43:32.800 for surgery other than that no anesthesia you mean yeah that okay that's the thing but you've never
00:43:39.360 just you know you and your buddy you know never pulled off the interstate and done steroids or
00:43:44.720 anything like that nope unfortunately not well no i'm not uh i'm not uh i'm not one of those guys
00:43:53.520 i'm like you know the calm innocent kind yeah i don't i don't do any of those drugs i don't do
00:43:59.760 any of those like injections or whatever um i mean you know me i'm yeah i don't know you but i'm learning
00:44:06.160 that yeah that is not your vice right what would you say would you feel like is a vice if people say
00:44:13.600 oh riley mouse say it's your funeral okay we're at your funeral people are like oh riley man man he's
00:44:17.920 a great guy you know he uh he was an eagle scout he was a christian you know he was a um
00:44:29.920 he was a uh karate belt he had a karate belt he skipped lunch sometimes he worked so hard
00:44:37.440 and what what would they say but also one of his vices was he did this what would it be you think
00:44:42.160 um man i don't know well i guess people would say that i'm more the
00:44:50.320 i'm more the quiet kind of guy until you really get to know me and then i'm just like obnoxious like
00:44:56.000 you will you will regret wanting to get to know me because i'm like so obnoxious towards them and i
00:45:02.240 like i like talking a lot um other than that um wow yeah i'm i'm a pretty quiet dude other than that
00:45:09.040 um yeah
00:45:16.560 all right man that's something uh people called actually we had a couple calls that came in here
00:45:23.760 let me see what this fella said right here
00:45:27.680 yo this is white out nebraska what's up wyatt from nebraska man thank you for calling brother and
00:45:33.680 thank you for listening to this uh this um podcast i want to give you a little riley review
00:45:41.360 uh be honest i didn't think it was going to work out very well this kid is 22 seems to be a little
00:45:48.960 young to be on a platform so big does he deserve it is he a relative i i didn't know what was going on
00:45:56.240 on there's some dead air it's hard to pull answers out of them it's really awkward uh but i was going
00:46:03.680 to give him a second chance to listen to your show right now the second episode with him on there and
00:46:08.480 it's almost brilliant to have that type of feeling in the air like it's just awkward it's almost like
00:46:15.680 part of the act even though it might not meant to be it's it's funny as hell and then your boy was 0.52
00:46:22.960 telling me that he is asian and a black belt so that's a win-win i'm now i'm but that's easy also

00:48:53.600 big dennis out there in callahan big dennis let's hear it and i was at work and i just got stung 0.68
00:49:03.840 by a bee in the neck and i'm fucking livid but no i just want to express that get that off my chest man 0.98
00:49:13.920 i'm really i'm really pissed okay well look man i'm sorry to hear that man i know that it's 0.99
00:49:20.880 you know a bee don't know nothing a bee is like a blind guy with a damn hatchet 0.98
00:49:31.040 you know he don't know you from adam bro 1.00
00:49:34.960 you know he'll sting his fucking stepmother if you give him half a dollar like a bee don't give a damn 1.00
00:49:39.760 if you crack open a bee there ain't a damn in that thing 1.00
00:49:48.000 we had a fella actually when i was growing up we used to go to summer camp i think it was summer 0.94
00:49:52.480 camp i don't know they didn't do anything really they kept us in a damn pavilion out at the park and 0.56
00:49:58.480 it was hot as could be and everybody had kool-aid mustaches and everybody had to bring their own lunch
00:50:06.000 and your lunch your kool-aid would spill in your lunch thing and it would get all wet and you had
00:50:09.440 to eat it anyway so if you haven't had a raspberry kool-aid grilled cheese sandwich and we might not know
00:50:20.720 each other but one thing uh we had they had a fella out there was a groundskeeper and a groundskeeper
00:50:28.240 basically somebody that's homeless but also
00:50:33.120 you know it you know kind of hangs out in one specific area
00:50:38.560 and this fella bi they call him he would uh he had a glass eye or some type of textile eye
00:50:47.440 you know this fella had something happen you know i'm saying he lost one of them bad sight balls and
00:50:52.720 somebody you know hooked him up with that replica
00:50:59.440 and he would get bees there were bees everywhere bees on every there's bees on everything bees on
00:51:04.720 every trash can had a thousand bees on it and he would take a bee and he would sting right into his
00:51:11.840 own eye with it and it would freak the kids out because we never seen it and then here you go he's doing
00:51:18.160 it and he would just get a bee and just sting and the kids if it was a new kid or somebody that was
00:51:24.640 coming to camp for a week because it was ymca summer camp so every week is when you get a new kid in
00:51:35.920 and sometime it you know some fella or some little lady come in there 0.94
00:51:40.640 sometime they get the little squirrely kid with the real pale skin a couple freckles kind of some dark 0.97
00:51:47.040 freckles curly hair creeping everybody out
00:51:52.560 you know real kind of vein you know like real veiny eyes just he always had that one little fella 1.00
00:51:58.240 creeping people
00:52:01.360 and my friend daniel actually this little fella growing up bus we had this miscreant fella
00:52:06.080 riley man named daniel and he would do cigarettes man or do you know he he's uh
00:52:12.880 uh he um super glued his own mouth closed once
00:52:18.320 and it just whole neighborhood was furious man and when they finally got it open he laughed at
00:52:23.600 everybody dang
00:52:29.520 so we had people like that you know we had real miscreants dude um
00:52:35.920 um we had a fella drank a little bit of ethanol this kid named todd man and he looked like he really 0.99
00:52:42.480 looked like shit but he looked like shit before he drank it so 0.98
00:52:49.280 but uh anyway what was i talking about man todd 1.00
00:52:54.560 no no no before that man daniel no before that uh oh bees baby mother nature's
00:53:07.280 freaking pitchforkers dog uh and this fellow would just sting his own eye with him just take him and 0.98
00:53:12.320 just sting right into his own eye because he had a not a homemade eye but semi-homemade you know to
00:53:17.760 step up from homemade like maybe they'd made it in home ec
00:53:22.720 so he had that you know he had that home ec eye and he would just and if you didn't know the new
00:53:26.880 kids didn't know so every time after lunch he'd get a kid over there and get his get a live bee and
00:53:32.800 sting his own eye with it jeez you have any uh unique individuals or role models like that growing up riley
00:53:39.600 oh man as far as the like i don't think i can go that far as like bee singing in your own eye um
00:53:48.880 other than that no i mean i've had like you know there's like those special kids that are like you
00:53:54.000 know in special ed and you know i have a few friends in that too i have a few um blind friends that are
00:53:58.880 like super good at you know audio at audio engineering at my school um it's crazy listeners huh big listeners
00:54:07.440 oh yeah yeah they're like the best students there we had a guy like that too they call him the big
00:54:12.400 listener and he was blind or something was wrong with him he said he couldn't see and people believed 0.98
00:54:17.520 him right and he could hear he was that freaking that's that listener you know he was just damn 0.97
00:54:26.240 christopher columbus on the listenership man he was just 0.92
00:54:30.800 and we had a blind kid that could play kickball real well 0.97
00:54:33.440 and he could hear the ball rolling feel it on the ground and kick it just the damn willie nelson 0.97
00:54:41.760 of kickball just the real i mean this guy was just just damn kirby pocket man this fella 0.99
00:54:50.160 old fat leg he had a fat leg on him too a lot of blind people are fat in the legs 1.00
00:54:55.360 what else we got here man we got a young fella right here hit hit the hotline man uh
00:55:07.680 let's hear it here we go hey theo this is will i called about a year ago my daughter eliana was born
00:55:16.160 oh man congratulations on that one year old you got now man that's a beautiful treat man my buddy just
00:55:22.160 had a kid about maybe nine weeks ago or something and he sent me a picture of it and it looked like 0.82
00:55:30.080 a damn little ghost a little scared a little fella but still beautiful man amen let's hear it appreciate
00:55:36.320 that by the way of me on the show uh i just wanted to kind of ask your thoughts about the crystal 0.99
00:55:42.960 leader situation because i heard you and bobby talking about that last week and i was thinking
00:55:49.680 to myself if one of my buddies got into some deep stuff some trouble and he said like hey i didn't do
00:55:58.560 that that wasn't me like i'd want to back obviously the the crystal leader situation is pretty
00:56:06.000 uh deep deeper than that um but i mean he even said like
00:56:15.600 like two were mad about him talking to a 22 year old so like maybe it's not as bad as it cracked up
00:56:22.720 to be i don't know much about it to be honest that's not the base
00:56:25.360 facts so i don't know man do you ever feel bad about not backing him like well i appreciate your
00:56:35.840 question man um i mean there's there's you know and yeah me and bobby were talking about this the
00:56:42.480 other day on uh on the episode and i think i i bet i bet chris uh you know like i check in with him
00:56:52.880 you know i probably should check in with him again um you know chris doesn't communicate a ton with me
00:57:00.400 we never have communicated like a great deal like our friendship you know we haven't had like a deep
00:57:06.480 deep friendship um i think he's one of the funniest guys that i know i don't so i don't know the extent of
00:57:14.720 everything that's going on either you know i don't know the extent do i believe everything that
00:57:21.440 that do i believe that the articles that people have written like a lot of it
00:57:29.120 seems like hit pieces to me you know but also i don't know everything about it
00:57:37.200 you know i i i feel like um
00:57:41.600 it's really tough you know because people do everything now for clickbait it's really tough
00:57:47.360 um but i do know that i you know
00:57:54.960 that it's tough for a lot of his friends and a lot of his associates and co-workers to
00:58:00.400 know what to say or do because he hasn't really said much
00:58:09.120 so i think in a weird way we're all kind of waiting not waiting to hear from him i mean and
00:58:14.400 he did say his piece there was an article he that he had or that was about like his side of the story
00:58:20.160 and his thoughts on it and um you know i don't know i don't know if there's like legal stuff that
00:58:26.480 he's facing i don't know and some of it it's interesting because it's like it's not my you know
00:58:34.080 like um it's not my responsibility to or it's not it's none of my business to bother him to bother him
00:58:41.840 about any of that you know i check in and say you know you know how are you doing you know thinking
00:58:49.120 of you um i don't look at i mean the media often looks at people as one dimensional oh they're just
00:58:56.880 this or that's how it seems a lot of times um but i mean i support you know i support my friends as
00:59:04.800 much as i you know i love him you know i want him to be able to work um i'm grateful that he has a
00:59:15.360 family right now that he has a wife and kid and he has people that are close to him to support him
00:59:20.240 and people to keep him hopeful and excited um
00:59:24.160 you know i don't know i don't know what a lot of his behaviors were like really no you know i don't
00:59:33.680 know i don't go you know um so it's like
00:59:42.160 you know yeah you i have their back i have my friends back i mean a lot of everything we do you
00:59:48.320 you don't see it on podcasts you don't always hear about it um there's also a lot of like a lot
00:59:55.840 of guys are afraid and a lot of people are afraid i think just of you know of a lot of just you know
01:00:02.800 are they going to be written an article about next even if some of the stuff it doesn't even that have
01:00:07.760 any validity um you know it's scary it makes me feel uncomfortable it makes me feel scared to even
01:00:17.600 talk about like i have to watch my words um
01:00:25.040 because there's people out there that want to take people's livelihood away
01:00:30.560 but then also if people did something that is illegal then i feel like that they should be
01:00:36.080 held accountable for it
01:00:39.920 but also i don't feel like people that if they did something illegal that that
01:00:44.320 dams them as a someone that i could should care about or that there's not more to them as a person
01:00:51.840 i mean dude we're all like just messed up creatures trying to freaking
01:00:57.840 balance right between the sand and the and the and the water
01:01:01.360 so
01:01:04.080 uh you know it's tricky out there
01:01:10.560 it's tricky out there it's tricky in here tricky inside of ourselves man it's tricky everywhere
01:01:16.400 but
01:01:16.720 i when people say you didn't back him what is backing someone look like i mean
01:01:22.800 i've let him know that i love him i've let him know that you know i'm here for him i've let him
01:01:29.280 know that if he feels like he has an issue or with anything that he's welcome to you know i go to
01:01:34.640 different meetings for all types of stuff so he's welcome to come with me anytime he wants to or
01:01:43.840 but i appreciate the reminder maybe you know maybe i should check in with him again and just you know remind
01:01:48.080 him that people think about him you know that people care about him you know i texted calen the
01:01:54.720 other day and told him you know to keep his head up
01:02:01.200 um just as i would text any of my friends or communicate any with any of my friends who have
01:02:05.920 something bad happened to them you know just as i'm sure like the accusers are or the victims of
01:02:14.800 of the alleged incidents are their friends are supporting them you know it's i don't know
01:02:22.960 i'm just human man i i don't know but um
01:02:31.360 anyway man let's get another call or two that came in man i want to thank everybody that came out
01:02:35.600 about the uh cedar rapid you know i want to thank everybody that came out for the cedar rapid show
01:02:40.720 and uh let's get those calls right now hey ceo it's your boy daniel again at northeast arkansas
01:02:49.440 what's up big daniel out of northeast arkansas you ever been there riley i've not
01:02:57.760 well actually what is northeast arkansas like what cities man let's hear more uh not i don't not
01:03:08.000 not the hot holes hit her but yeah uh man just letting you know i'll be driving up there
01:03:14.640 saturday come see in cedar rapid as long as my wife doesn't kill me while we drive for seven hours 0.56
01:03:20.960 but uh man just let you know along with helping people dealing with uh addictions and everything
01:03:27.840 you also help us who only had a mother growing up and uh and wasn't very close to her
01:03:34.560 uh a while back let's see here you said how your mom had to be your disciplinary figure and your
01:03:41.520 comfort person and man that just that comment opened up a slew of emotions i didn't even know i had
01:03:49.440 just from realizing that and um anyway i was able to put my uh relationship back together with my mom
01:03:58.800 um you know we were a lot stronger now so
01:04:05.520 thanks man thanks for the nice call man uh i hope you guys enjoyed the show yeah seven hours with your 0.96
01:04:11.360 wife in a car that's really i mean that should be a damn game show i feel like that should be uh 1.00
01:04:19.040 that should be a really a dirty game show but um 0.99
01:04:21.920 um yeah man well i appreciate you saying that man uh you know my mother actually went to it's
01:04:28.240 almost just funny in full circle my mother went to college over there in um cedar rapids
01:04:34.880 and um and she met her first husband over there over there and uh but yeah it's funny man i you know
01:04:46.560 know it's interesting when a kid you know when you just have the single parent when you just have the
01:04:53.680 mom and i didn't realize it till i was older i just looked at my mom it's like you start to i think
01:05:02.800 not having a dad around you in a weird way you hold that against your mother
01:05:09.200 i mean you would you just hold it against whoever's the remaining parent so i think if it's
01:05:13.440 if you just have a dad or or i did i don't know if people do
01:05:21.200 but then suddenly you know yeah your mother has two roles and
01:05:25.920 and i don't even know if our moms realize it at the time
01:05:30.000 that suddenly they're the mother and the father and
01:05:32.960 or and it's just so much man there's so much that goes into all of it
01:05:37.600 but yeah i was holding probably i was probably have always been i probably held i was holding
01:05:46.400 i was holding or maybe still hold the things against my mother that maybe were a father's responsibility
01:05:55.680 and that's why sometimes i get hung up on like yeah i like the two-parent system man it's
01:06:00.080 you know it just
01:06:06.240 because i know what it feels like not to have it that's why
01:06:10.560 some people you know they get all political about it well you don't like you you don't think two women 0.94
01:06:15.200 can raise a care two men correct i don't know about all of that or i can just you know
01:06:22.080 get my eggs fertilized at the chemical plant or whatever and i can have a family yeah i think all
01:06:26.640 those things are great things and it's okay but you know i just the only thing i know is that
01:06:34.240 when you're when you don't have that you
01:06:38.080 there's just part of you sometimes this is just doesn't develop or something
01:06:43.840 i don't know man uh
01:06:47.040 and sometimes it's easier for me to think about these things and sometimes it's
01:06:50.480 it's harder for me to think about them and feel them
01:06:52.400 because thinking about stuff doesn't get me anywhere man i really have to feel it like i have to like
01:07:00.880 try and take myself back to the place of when i was a kid and what did it feel like you know
01:07:07.360 and and how
01:07:11.040 you know like and think of myself and looking at my mother and like did i look at did i think of her as
01:07:16.400 you know i have to try and navigate those feelings and to really see where i land sometimes but
01:07:29.200 but yeah man life is just man there's so many there's so much going on and i'm not trying to be
01:07:34.560 a downer or anything man i appreciate the nice words and you know and then in the end of it all it's like
01:07:41.440 what am i i can't still what am i still gonna hold grudges from
01:07:47.760 you know it just doesn't do me any good
01:07:52.080 so as much as in some places me i feel empty
01:08:00.880 if i
01:08:03.920 pin my emptiness on somebody else's their fault
01:08:06.560 then it's just really just
01:08:12.480 it's just creating it just create it's letting that emptiness still create more negativity
01:08:23.360 and as much as it hurts to have to just deal with it myself and to patch it up
01:08:27.280 sometimes it's just like that's the only real solution
01:08:36.560 because man yeah sometimes i still want to blame i get you know i just want to blame and
01:08:41.920 but
01:08:43.920 usually those feelings go away pretty quick
01:08:47.200 uh or those moments where i feel that way but anyway man thanks for bringing that up
01:08:53.840 you know uh and yeah i hope your wife didn't kill you and i hope you guys had a good time at the
01:08:59.840 show let's take one more call here here we go hi theo my name is kristen and i just got home from
01:09:07.920 your show in cedar rapids me and two of my family members drove out there from chicago and i just wanted
01:09:13.760 to thank you for the laughs it was a really good night um we had a family member pass away earlier this
01:09:19.120 month and it was nice to just get out there and take a break from reality so just wanted to thank you
01:09:26.880 and we love you and gang gang thank you so much gang mama thank you thank you for that nice message
01:09:34.640 i'm glad you guys made the trip you know that's a three-hour trip right there or something two hour
01:09:41.200 and you made it and yeah man we put a lot of laughter up into the sky out there
01:09:45.600 that's one nice thing about being outdoors that laughter can hit the air baby that's air bound
01:09:50.880 that's free that's no walls caging up the vibes and we let it hit the air son
01:09:59.440 i mean we were using profanity they could hear it three buildings down they could hear it a block and
01:10:03.360 a half away and we lit it up
01:10:07.360 so i'm sorry to hear about that i'm sorry to hear that you guys lost somebody that you loved
01:10:18.560 but it's powerful to hear that you guys you know took their spirit with you and put and took it out
01:10:24.480 and did something nice you know i'm glad you know
01:10:30.240 yeah sometimes i think you know that the laughter it just hits the air and it goes right on up to heaven
01:10:34.800 man and that's all they hear up there that's the only thing they're allowed to hear up in heaven
01:10:41.440 is just laughter so that's the only thing they can really hear
01:10:46.160 or good sounds you know
01:10:47.520 you know
01:10:51.920 you know they don't let bad sounds in there only good sounds what's a good sound you think riley mal
01:10:58.320 i mean good sounds as in like just anything in general like a good sound yeah
01:11:04.960 um i mean laughter is a good sound um
01:11:09.600 i don't know rocket flying into space is a good sound and elephant i like elephants elephants are a good
01:11:15.440 sound
01:11:20.400 what what do you think is a good sound laughter i think and uh
01:11:29.200 what else man sometimes a little sexual activity but i won't listen long if i hear it
01:11:35.280 if the neighbors are doing it i'll listen for like like two or three seconds but i ain't listening
01:11:39.600 i'll like listen a little and then pretend like i i'll be like oh what is that sound but then i
