00:02:16.700 Today's guest is Mr. Coe Wetzel.

00:02:26.980 I'm on this guy. 0.99

00:02:28.040 I shouldn't be allowed to fucking be alive. 0.99

00:02:37.200 You ever feel like that? 0.99

00:02:39.860 You ever feel like that really, dude?

00:02:41.420 I mean, I should not be allowed to be alive, dude.

00:02:47.380 I just.

00:02:49.080 Kind of one of those days.

00:02:50.440 Yeah.

00:02:50.660 You ever just burn so many bridges down, you can't even take a step.

00:02:54.560 You burn.

00:02:55.260 It's not even bridges.

00:02:55.980 You burn down just regular flooring.

00:02:57.980 Yeah.

00:02:59.440 Ceiling.

00:03:00.080 Everything.

00:03:00.540 Carpet.

00:03:03.600 I mean, I'll just turn a wreck.

00:03:06.420 Everything's a chimney when I come around someday when I'm like that.

00:03:10.580 You want those beers, by the way?

00:03:11.840 Or hide it or anything?

00:03:13.040 Oh.

00:03:13.900 You can have whatever you want.

00:03:15.020 Yeah.

00:03:15.400 I'll.

00:03:16.020 Yeah.

00:03:16.340 If you don't mind, a couple of those.

00:03:17.640 Booth.

00:03:18.900 Yeah. 0.99

00:03:19.280 I'm just damn. 0.98

00:03:20.920 It's just, you know. 0.99

00:03:21.820 Yeah.

00:03:22.020 Everything's fine.

00:03:23.440 It just.

00:03:23.680 You know.

00:03:24.240 If I get in a.

00:03:25.500 You know. 0.98

00:03:25.820 You think it's kind of like with the holidays and shit coming up too, or. 0.98

00:03:29.900 It doesn't help. 0.98

00:03:30.700 Yeah.

00:03:31.040 No, for sure.

00:03:32.180 And it's a lot of little things to do and suddenly a lot of just feeling like a little

00:03:35.440 responsibilities and then.

00:03:37.940 Everything kind of has a.

00:03:39.100 Yeah.

00:03:40.360 And then if I.

00:03:40.900 Yeah.

00:03:41.200 And I start turning.

00:03:42.120 I'll just turn it into just a.

00:03:44.040 You know, I get too focused on what I need to get done.

00:03:46.640 Mm-hmm. 0.99

00:03:47.640 Sometimes I just got to hit an AA meeting or something or fucking. 1.00

00:03:54.360 Drink a damn eight ball, dude. 1.00

00:03:55.900 I need one of those, man. 1.00

00:03:56.340 For real.

00:03:57.700 Dude, I'm glad they didn't come down with eight ball, the beverage or whatever.

00:04:04.040 I think they did it at Celsius.

00:04:05.660 Oh, my God.

00:04:06.200 That could be true. 0.99

00:04:07.920 I'd have been on them bitches, man. 1.00

00:04:10.420 Oh, God. 0.99

00:04:10.620 Coet Wetzelman, congrats on the new album, dude.

00:04:12.480 Thank you, man.

00:04:12.740 I appreciate it.

00:04:13.780 Wow. 1.00

00:04:15.140 Shit kind of popped off, huh? 1.00

00:04:16.240 Yeah, well, you've been working so hard. 1.00

00:04:18.700 For sure.

00:04:19.320 People don't think about that.

00:04:21.740 Yeah, everybody. 1.00

00:04:22.860 It was the overnight success shit. 0.99

00:04:25.780 And I don't know. 1.00

00:04:27.260 They don't see the 10 years, 10 plus years, you know.

00:04:30.720 We've been grinding it out for a while, so.

00:04:33.220 At all the places.

00:04:33.960 You've played every place they would allow someone to play, really.

00:04:37.860 For real, though, man.

00:04:39.100 Like, we would.

00:04:39.760 I mean, you'll play.

00:04:40.680 I've seen.

00:04:41.280 Yeah.

00:04:41.620 Yeah.

00:04:42.380 Trailers on the back of, like, semis.

00:04:46.240 Behind Chicken Wire.

00:04:48.760 Yeah.

00:04:50.280 Oh, I've seen places where, like, tomorrow this place is getting fumigated, right?

00:04:54.400 They'll already be setting up the tent around it with the bug spray in it.

00:04:57.920 And it's like, but tonight, go Wetzel, baby.

00:05:01.400 It was with big lights, right?

00:05:02.860 Yeah.

00:05:03.960 We had, dude, there was this one run that we had.

00:05:06.780 It was probably the third year.

00:05:08.800 It was probably 2013, 14.

00:05:10.140 And it was like, we were playing VFWs and, like, firehouses and stuff.

00:05:16.460 Well, there was, like, three places that we played. 0.99

00:05:20.780 And within two months, I don't know if it was tax reasons or what, but all of them fucking 0.99

00:05:25.820 burnt down. 0.97

00:05:27.040 So, it was like a thing.

00:05:29.300 Like, go Wetzel's coming to town. 0.97

00:05:31.280 Get your extinguishers ready, man. 1.00

00:05:32.800 He's about to burn this bitch down, literally. 1.00

00:05:34.240 Dude, it was almost like that white snake memorial tour, kind of. 1.00

00:05:39.920 That's how it was, man.

00:05:41.140 And it was kind of a joke around East Texas, but it was legit.

00:05:44.400 It was always a VFW or a little cash grab or something.

00:05:48.160 It was kind of a sketchy place, you know.

00:05:49.620 And then you get in there, and it's like, did you hear that place burned down last night?

00:05:53.660 I was like, what?

00:05:55.680 You're like, what are you?

00:05:56.780 We just left.

00:05:57.960 Yeah.

00:05:58.880 Like, I think we still have some drums in there.

00:06:01.180 Bro, you can smell the kerosene as you pull it off down the road. 0.99

00:06:05.680 They're just in the bag, just pulling wires and shit. 0.99

00:06:07.960 I was electrical fired. 0.99

00:06:11.220 Oh, bro.

00:06:12.740 Oh, yeah.

00:06:13.400 Nothing like a good scam, dude.

00:06:14.900 Dude, I'm telling you.

00:06:16.400 Nothing like a good scam.

00:06:17.040 Gets you out of a pinch.

00:06:17.940 You're talking about, yeah, getting your day back to brighter, man.

00:06:21.040 Getting a little government money, man.

00:06:23.160 Oh, we had a dude who had bought a bunch of, he made a bunch of 4th of July t-shirts,

00:06:30.580 right?

00:06:31.200 And they didn't get in until, they basically got in, like, on the night before.

00:06:36.560 They're supposed to come in, like, two weeks early.

00:06:38.500 And it was a business plan this guy had.

00:06:42.060 And so on 4th of July, he's like, I got, I have basically eight or nine hours to pedal 0.99

00:06:47.960 these bitches, you know. 1.00

00:06:48.960 So he got, he was out there with a bike, with a little wagon. 0.99

00:06:54.000 He was pulling, like, he was supposed to have a child in it or something, but it was just

00:06:56.580 full of these 4th of July shirts. 0.99

00:06:58.180 And he was out there just, just slinging them bitches. 1.00

00:07:01.500 And he only got rid of about maybe 17 of them. 0.98

00:07:05.360 So he had about maybe 420 shirts left or whatever.

00:07:08.880 What did he do with them?

00:07:09.940 He said, he, here's what he did.

00:07:11.420 He said, he said, I'm on fire, right?

00:07:13.360 But he did it, he did it near a fireworks display.

00:07:17.400 And he said that some of the fireworks had landed in him.

00:07:20.700 Hey, hey, man, that's a, gotta respect the hustle there, bro.

00:07:24.700 That was great.

00:07:25.540 That's awesome.

00:07:26.700 That's a great idea, man.

00:07:27.860 Yeah, I bet he, he's got a lot, I bet he has a lot of, a lot of great ideas.

00:07:31.940 I mean, maybe, is he still around?

00:07:33.860 Yeah.

00:07:34.980 He's an idea, man.

00:07:36.120 I would say that.

00:07:36.960 Yeah, absolutely.

00:07:37.760 He's an idea, man.

00:07:40.080 Yeah, man, you're playing some different venues now.

00:07:42.300 So that's kind of, that's kind of changed, huh?

00:07:45.240 Has it?

00:07:46.220 Oh, yeah.

00:07:46.940 I mean, we've been doing like arenas for like the last two or three years, but it's just

00:07:50.760 kind of a, to a bigger scale, I guess.

00:07:54.020 I mean, the definitely got newer fans.

00:07:57.560 With this record, we kind of tapped into the, the mainstream kind of side of it, I guess.

00:08:02.500 You know, we've always been independent and I mean, I guess, you know, coming out of Texas 0.82

00:08:08.120 and you get toward Texas year round, you know, and, and make a damn good living.

00:08:12.300 And it's pretty much what we've been doing, but, you know, over the last probably five

00:08:17.820 years, you know, we've got out of Texas and got to play these, these crazy arenas and stuff.

00:08:22.420 That's crazy.

00:08:22.820 Look at that.

00:08:23.500 Yeah, man.

00:08:23.940 It's, it's been a while.

00:08:24.880 I mean, we've been blessed.

00:08:26.200 Fans have just come out of the woodworks, man. 0.99

00:08:28.260 And it's cool to, to have people, you know, fuck with, fuck with the music, man. 1.00

00:08:32.640 Fuck with what you're, what you're telling them, man. 1.00

00:08:34.820 And I don't know. 1.00

00:08:36.500 It's been wild.

00:08:37.360 It's, it's kind of, we've been so busy.

00:08:39.620 I haven't had time to like step back and actually look at it, you know, and, and kind

00:08:45.420 of see where we're at, but it's, it's wild, man.

00:08:47.980 Yeah.

00:08:48.480 Yeah.

00:08:49.100 Well, yeah.

00:08:49.620 I mean, I think there's a lot of that energy out of Texas where it's just like that, you

00:08:53.120 know, we'll figure it out.

00:08:54.680 And Texas really supports their own a lot.

00:08:56.520 Yeah, for sure.

00:08:57.100 You know, it's the same with guys like Parker over the years.

00:09:00.140 And, um, I mean, Texas has their own thing.

00:09:03.340 They always have, you know, they support their own.

00:09:06.100 Yeah.

00:09:06.340 Very, very proud people, man.

00:09:07.960 And, you know, it's just such a, a cult following, you know, and, and we've been blessed to have

00:09:13.620 those cult fan base that, that fan base for so long, you know, and, uh, is there like

00:09:19.080 co-beef between like people, you know, like new fans and old fans, do you feel like?

00:09:23.960 I think maybe, maybe a little bit, but I mean, like I said, they're so passionate and they're

00:09:27.800 so, they're so like co-fans that, you know, I think they've, they've, uh, respond.

00:09:33.780 I was kind of curious as to how they're going to take this new music that we put out.

00:09:36.920 Uh, I mean, they, they came on with it. 0.99

00:09:39.140 I think they dug it just, you know, cause we haven't really veered off from the shit 0.93

00:09:43.160 we've been doing our whole, you know, whole career. 0.97

00:09:45.440 So.

00:09:45.800 Yeah.

00:09:46.160 Do you feel weird?

00:09:47.180 Do you feel like, is there a part of you that feels like, cause I get like, if I have 0.79

00:09:51.100 to do something that feels kind of mainstreamy to me sometimes, it, it makes me fucking angry. 0.83

00:09:56.020 It's like, yeah, yeah, I don't, man, I'm not really just cause cause like I said earlier, 0.99

00:09:59.940 you know, I'm still doing the same shit. 0.89

00:10:01.360 It's just more, I guess on a bigger scale, kind of more, uh, I don't know, um, kind of 0.98

00:10:08.680 expected, you know what I mean?

00:10:11.440 Like to, to do all these interviews and, you know, just kind of get your story out there. 0.98

00:10:15.720 So, I mean, it used to be, you know, get fucked up, go play music. 0.84

00:10:19.520 And that was it, you know, write music, uh, throw down, party with everybody. 0.96

00:10:23.420 And now it's kind of, all right, let's take a step back and calm everything down a little

00:10:27.000 bit, you know?

00:10:27.640 Yeah.

00:10:28.040 Oh yeah, dude.

00:10:29.140 Yeah. 1.00

00:10:29.340 Your TikToks, you guys would be just fucked up out there eating dandelions and shit or 1.00

00:10:33.900 just adopting animals. 1.00

00:10:36.680 I mean, you guys are doing a lot for the, for nature and everything out there.

00:10:40.540 Everything.

00:10:41.200 Do you have to slow it down a little bit?

00:10:42.920 Have you had to a little?

00:10:43.920 Um, this tour, we definitely did.

00:10:45.420 The, the, so last year's tour was the Hell Paso tour and it was balls to the wall.

00:10:49.920 Like it was, it was insane, bro.

00:10:51.800 Like it was too much, honestly.

00:10:54.660 Uh, I'm surprised somebody died.

00:10:56.720 Uh, we didn't, and, but we had a couple of folks go to jail. 1.00

00:10:59.420 Uh, but other than that, I mean, it was just chaos the whole time.

00:11:02.800 And then this year with the damn near normal tour, um, they kind of like caged me a little

00:11:07.980 bit. 0.63

00:11:08.280 But like, so after every show it was direct to the bus and then cop escorted out, like

00:11:13.880 they wouldn't let me go out and party and stuff, which was great.

00:11:16.020 I mean, the tour was great and stuff, but I felt like they were, uh, trying to settle

00:11:20.360 me down a little bit.

00:11:21.260 Cause I mean, like I said, it's just kind of on a, a bigger scale than, than anybody

00:11:25.420 kind of expected it to be.

00:11:26.740 Yeah.

00:11:27.060 You got more responsibility the next day.

00:11:28.880 You got to actually be there.

00:11:30.520 And, uh, you know, I felt a whole lot better this tour and the shows were, were better in

00:11:34.480 my opinion.

00:11:34.960 And, uh, but yeah, I mean, I guess it's, you got to grow up sometime, man. 0.98

00:11:39.380 It sucks, huh? 0.99

00:11:40.440 It sucks, man. 1.00

00:11:41.240 It sucks getting old. 1.00

00:11:42.540 It sucks having to grow up. 0.99

00:11:43.900 Grow up. 0.95

00:11:44.180 Yeah.

00:11:44.360 And it's not even getting old.

00:11:45.600 Oh, you can stay young and just be an old dude. 0.99

00:11:47.920 And like, damn, that old dude is, uh, shouldn't be, you know. 0.99

00:11:51.080 It's like the FOMO though. 0.99

00:11:51.840 Like the fear, like, you know, like whenever it's just like you, you reminisce on all the

00:11:55.940 good times. 0.98

00:11:56.520 Like, damn, man, that'd be fun to do tonight. 0.99

00:11:59.420 You know, we should do that tonight. 0.99

00:12:01.520 Oh yeah.

00:12:02.300 It's nothing.

00:12:02.800 Oh dude, going to bed early and laying there and just feeling like just even God knows 1.00

00:12:07.440 you're a little bitch. 1.00

00:12:09.140 That's the saddest part, dude. 1.00

00:12:10.680 Getting into bed early.

00:12:11.680 You're like, all right, I'm doing it.

00:12:12.720 And then you kind of get ready and you're like, oh, you start to feel a little bit bad.

00:12:16.040 You're like, oh, you know what?

00:12:17.600 And then you wake up next morning.

00:12:18.540 I feel like whenever you wake up next morning, you're like, no, good on you.

00:12:21.640 Yeah. 1.00

00:12:21.920 Fuck yeah, man. 1.00

00:12:22.560 Oh yeah. 1.00

00:12:23.000 That's a, yeah.

00:12:23.660 That's like, if you got a little, a little oomph in your chest, like, hey, man.

00:12:26.940 Yeah.

00:12:27.140 A natural oomph and not just where your heart's just burned out from just running over time.

00:12:32.220 Dude, I remember when I first met you, I was like, cause I was like, I don't know if

00:12:35.920 I had just like gotten like re-sober or something at the time.

00:12:40.200 Re-sober is a good name.

00:12:41.380 Re-sober, yeah, that's pretty cool.

00:12:42.820 I never heard that word.

00:12:43.620 I never said that word before.

00:12:44.300 Re-sober.

00:12:45.140 Re-sobered.

00:12:45.860 But I never got, and I remember when I met you and I was like, I gotta be careful around

00:12:50.220 that guy because.

00:12:51.020 I remember that time.

00:12:52.160 That guy.

00:12:52.620 That was at, uh, Whiskey Jam, right?

00:12:55.720 Was it Whiskey Jam?

00:12:56.760 I don't remember. 0.99

00:12:57.800 Or Losers? 0.72

00:12:59.080 It might've been with Todd, with Todd, with, uh, Todd Graves. 0.96

00:13:02.200 Graves, yeah.

00:13:03.140 That could've been.

00:13:03.360 It could've been the Super Bowl.

00:13:04.300 Remember when he was at that, uh.

00:13:06.260 Oh God, yeah.

00:13:07.700 In that suite or something.

00:13:09.280 Dude, I was sober for three weeks going up there and then, bro, we're sitting in the suite

00:13:14.040 with Todd and, like, me and Dre have been sober or whatever, and we're like, if we can make

00:13:19.160 it through Super Bowl weekend, dude, we are, you know, we're, we're killing it. 0.89

00:13:23.240 And I'm sitting there and Cersei from Lord of the fucking Ring, or not Lord of the Rings, 0.97

00:13:28.540 uh, Game of Thrones walks in. 0.97

00:13:30.380 I'm like, was that Cersei?

00:13:31.900 And they're like, yeah.

00:13:33.360 That's one of the Jonas Brothers, too. 0.99

00:13:34.940 I was like, holy shit, you know? 0.99

00:13:36.440 And so. 1.00

00:13:37.100 Yeah, and you gotta play that game.

00:13:38.040 You drink every time you see a Jonas Brother.

00:13:39.740 I was like, yeah.

00:13:41.200 I was like, uh, vodka soda, please.

00:13:44.380 And dude, we got, I mean, it was like 11 in the morning, and you know, you got all

00:13:48.820 these actors and musicians, and.

00:13:50.980 Yeah, they had a lot.

00:13:51.820 Coach O walks in from LSU, he's like, hey, what's going on, cuz?

00:13:55.240 You doing all right?

00:13:55.800 You doing all right, bro?

00:13:56.480 I'm like, yeah, I'm good, man.

00:13:58.500 Like, what do you think about your boy?

00:13:59.720 And I, oh, he got it, he got it sold up.

00:14:01.060 He's got it sold up.

00:14:02.040 Yeah, that's when Burrow was playing the Super Bowl. 0.89

00:14:03.960 I was like, this dude's fucking awesome, you know? 0.99

00:14:06.480 This dude's been eating eight balls, too. 0.99

00:14:08.140 Bro, and just rolling around, man, just having a great time. 0.95

00:14:12.020 And so, man, we hammered him all day.

00:14:15.000 We get to the game, and I mean, it's just like, that red carpet, people were showing 0.99

00:14:19.420 up, coming in, like, dude, I can't handle this shit, this is too much. 0.99

00:14:23.300 Yeah, everybody was in there. 0.99

00:14:24.300 P.D. Pablo, I think, was in there.

00:14:26.000 Dude, Jack Harlow, French Montana.

00:14:29.080 I mean, it was just one after the other. 0.99

00:14:31.000 And, you know, me being from small East Texas, I was like, what the fuck? 0.99

00:14:35.000 Oh, yeah. 0.99

00:14:36.100 That was wild.

00:14:37.780 That was crazy.

00:14:38.720 There was a lot of fancy folks in there, too, dude. 1.00

00:14:41.320 I wanted to fucking rob some of those fucking queers or whatever. 1.00

00:14:45.380 And I don't, you can't say queers, but, so we'll pretend we didn't say it. 1.00

00:14:49.700 But, yeah, dude.

00:14:50.700 Oh, and I just, yeah, I was like, because I was just trying to, I was just getting back 0.97

00:14:54.660 on the grill or whatever, and I was like, I got to fucking. 0.92

00:14:57.100 Well, I think, I think one of the times I met you, it was at Whiskey Jam, I think. 0.98

00:15:01.040 And we were sitting there, each other, and we were like, yeah, I'm a fan of each other,

00:15:05.380 whatever.

00:15:06.280 And I remember you were like, there was a step right above me to what Muscadine Bloodline

00:15:11.040 was playing.

00:15:12.220 And he was like, you trying to go up?

00:15:13.820 And I was like, yeah, let's go.

00:15:16.680 And I was like, you want to go to the bathroom right here?

00:15:18.020 You were like, wait, what?

00:15:19.840 I was like, and I had a lid in my pocket.

00:15:22.920 I was like, trying to go.

00:15:24.060 You were like, no, the step to watch. 1.00

00:15:25.620 I was like, ah, ah, shit. 1.00

00:15:27.700 And I didn't know you was sober. 1.00

00:15:29.720 I remember that.

00:15:31.040 Yeah, I was kind of perched up in the back.

00:15:33.100 You were like, are you trying to get up?

00:15:34.260 Yeah.

00:15:34.700 Hell yeah, let's go right now.

00:15:36.180 You were like, no. 1.00

00:15:40.020 Damn, brother. 0.99

00:15:41.100 Well, look, I appreciate the, hey, I do appreciate the support. 0.99

00:15:44.200 Yeah, hey, man, I was, my bad, that was, that was on me.

00:15:47.200 Oh, no. 0.99

00:15:48.180 Dude, I want somebody to fucking want to get me fucked up, dude. 1.00

00:15:51.860 I want somebody to just hold me down and just fucking, just damn funnel, just yay into 1.00

00:15:57.060 my brain on me. 1.00

00:15:57.980 You know what I'm saying?

00:15:58.780 Man, but that is a, you know, that's Christmas wishing, you know?

00:16:01.580 Oh, man.

00:16:03.540 Let me talk about your new album.

00:16:04.540 So the new album is Nine Lives.

00:16:06.220 Yeah.

00:16:06.520 Right.

00:16:07.220 And when have you burned a couple of your lives?

00:16:09.240 Like, was there a night or two over the time?

00:16:10.960 Because I'm trying to think, we had, let me think of a good night that happened to me

00:16:15.960 one time.

00:16:16.680 Oh, dude, a guy overdosed or whatever one time and people were doing CPR on him. 0.99

00:16:21.480 I'm like, he doesn't need fucking CPR. 0.96

00:16:23.240 Was anybody, could they even do CPR? 0.99

00:16:25.980 I mean, they were just trying.

00:16:26.840 They were just trying.

00:16:27.740 You're like.

00:16:27.960 His chest was already doing its own CPR.

00:16:29.900 I'm like, that dude is just geeked out of his gourd, bro. 1.00

00:16:33.280 You need to hit him with that fucking, man. 1.00

00:16:35.060 That's Narcaniel Johnson. 1.00

00:16:36.640 You need to hit him with that. 0.99

00:16:38.240 Somebody hit him with an EpiPen. 0.99

00:16:39.740 Yes, we Narcan, dude.

00:16:41.240 Yeah, somebody hit him with an EpiPen, like he had a bee sting or something.

00:16:44.260 I'm like, this dude got stung by an eight ball. 0.96

00:16:47.300 This dude got stung by a freaking.

00:16:48.440 He's having a reaction for sure. 0.87

00:16:50.700 This dude got stung by a warm gram and they're trying to put down Pepto-Bismol in him. 0.99

00:16:56.220 People are fucking unbelievable, man. 0.98

00:16:58.020 Hey, man, people start freaking out like that. 1.00

00:17:00.100 Shit gets hairy and especially if you tore up like that, you don't know what the fuck's 1.00

00:17:04.100 going to happen. 1.00

00:17:04.700 So it's kind of like. 0.99

00:17:06.000 Oh, shit. 1.00

00:17:07.000 Oh, shit. 1.00

00:17:07.440 Well, everybody starts, I think I'm going to have one myself. 1.00

00:17:11.200 Y'all start doing that shit to me. 1.00

00:17:13.240 Oh, dude, I see somebody do a Narcan. 1.00

00:17:14.980 I'll hit one. 0.94

00:17:15.860 Yeah.

00:17:15.960 It's across the road.

00:17:17.120 Can I get one, please?

00:17:19.280 Do you always feel like you had to party so much?

00:17:22.380 Where does that come from, you think?

00:17:23.560 Is that just, did you grow up partying?

00:17:25.120 Yeah, not real.

00:17:25.740 I mean, I never felt like I had to.

00:17:28.980 It was just, man, I like to have a good time.

00:17:30.980 My whole family likes to have a good time, man.

00:17:32.560 So it's just kind of, whenever I got.

00:17:34.900 So my parents were pretty strict with me growing up, you know, because.

00:17:37.760 They knew the only way I was going to get out of Pittsburgh was to, you know, on a

00:17:42.080 scholarship or whatever.

00:17:43.220 And that's Pittsburgh, Texas.

00:17:44.400 Pittsburgh, Texas.

00:17:44.760 Yeah.

00:17:44.980 And so, like, they were really strict on me.

00:17:47.680 And so once I got to college, dude, it was like balls to the wall, like no pants, you

00:17:51.820 know, get to college and just hammer down, man.

00:17:54.360 And it just, I don't know, I guess it kind of just snowballed.

00:17:57.140 And I don't know, I can drink with the best of them.

00:18:00.560 And I don't know.

00:18:02.100 It's a great time, man.

00:18:03.420 And I've slowed down a whole lot, you know, this past couple of years, but I still, I

00:18:09.260 still like to get out there and act up a little bit.

00:18:11.580 Yeah.

00:18:12.600 Yeah.

00:18:12.980 Wow.

00:18:13.340 I can't believe that's you slowed down.

00:18:15.020 It's great, though.

00:18:15.880 I was always envious of people that could party, man, because I couldn't do it. 0.99

00:18:19.700 I'd get a little too rattled and I'd just start fucking chewing on the fucking walls and 1.00

00:18:24.480 shit. 1.00

00:18:24.800 You know, I'd just start fucking farming copper out of my own house, dude. 1.00

00:18:28.580 You know, I get this. 0.99

00:18:29.500 Hell yeah.

00:18:30.200 I couldn't handle it, dude.

00:18:31.300 I'd call the cops on myself a bunch of times. 1.00

00:18:34.360 I'm fucked up. 1.00

00:18:35.740 That's partying, though. 1.00

00:18:36.740 I mean, that's hardcore shit. 0.99

00:18:38.540 I think it's the point, I guess. 1.00

00:18:40.160 Hey, that's some partying.

00:18:42.100 I don't think I've ever called the cops on myself before.

00:18:44.940 That's wild.

00:18:45.940 Oh, yeah, dude. 1.00

00:18:46.860 I'll call them bitches, huh? 1.00

00:18:49.780 Oh, dude, I'll call the cops for anything, dude. 1.00

00:18:51.600 I see.

00:18:51.900 Yeah, I remember I was at a UFC fight one night and the guys were beating each other 0.90

00:18:55.280 so bad and I fucking called the cops right there from T-Mobile Arena. 0.92

00:18:59.120 It was Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway were beating the shit out of each other. 0.98

00:19:02.080 I said, we got to get down here quick. 0.53

00:19:03.840 Yeah, I said, y'all got a male-on-male domestic down here. 1.00

00:19:06.100 Oh, my God, bro.

00:19:07.320 That's what I said.

00:19:07.880 I said, these guys are fighting over jewelry down here because I think Winter got the

00:19:11.020 belt.

00:19:11.460 Oh, really?

00:19:11.940 So I was like, you got a male-on-male domestic down here, buddy.

00:19:14.300 You guys need to send someone. 0.99

00:19:15.720 You need to figure this shit out quick, bro. 0.99

00:19:17.280 Dana, what are you doing? 0.99

00:19:19.400 Yeah, why the Title IX lives, man?

00:19:21.300 Oh, man, it was kind of, so the record was kind of like us kind of doing a new music

00:19:28.880 that we're not known for.

00:19:30.860 You know, usually it's the party music, the crazy rock stuff.

00:19:34.020 So this was just kind of the past, the other lives that I could have lived had I not been

00:19:38.680 a musician, you know, or traveled down this road.

00:19:41.520 So it's kind of just like a reflection on that.

00:19:44.700 And I don't know, man.

00:19:45.880 It's kind of one of those things.

00:19:50.960 Yeah, and I've read that you wrote it pretty quick, like when it finally hit you.

00:19:54.220 Most of the songs came really quick, man.

00:19:56.140 Like Gabe Simon, he always say it was like my first therapy session.

00:20:00.640 I met him.

00:20:01.080 Yeah, yeah.

00:20:01.600 Yeah, cool dude.

00:20:03.220 But he like dug into my life, like into my soul.

00:20:06.000 And it was like bringing out shit that I normally never tell like a stranger, you know. 0.98

00:20:11.500 And he just dug into it, man. 0.95

00:20:13.240 And it helped write the songs really fast, honestly.

00:20:16.300 So, yeah, I don't know, man.

00:20:19.020 The songs came out great.

00:20:20.400 You know, it was one of the more vulnerable sides of me for sure.

00:20:26.020 Yeah, for sure.

00:20:26.780 No, I mean, it was just like it was more raw and real than I feel like I'd ever been playing music.

00:20:32.440 So, yeah, it was kind of like kind of turning a new page on, you know, not leaving the party behind, 0.96

00:20:40.060 but just kind of me kind of growing up type shit. 1.00

00:20:43.020 Damn. 1.00

00:20:43.600 Fuck, dude. 1.00

00:20:45.300 All right. 1.00

00:20:46.560 It sucks, dude. 0.97

00:20:48.600 All the good ones grow up. 0.98

00:20:49.920 I know.

00:20:50.260 You're going to see me in the jail log tomorrow.

00:20:53.540 Okay, good.

00:20:54.220 I go to the red door or something tonight.

00:20:55.400 Yeah, as long as you out.

00:20:58.240 Oh, man.

00:20:58.920 Man, yeah, dude, a lot of all the good ones grow up, man.

00:21:03.380 Yeah, they've had that term.

00:21:05.360 Yeah, because there's like, I mean, I love Jesse Murph.

00:21:08.400 Yeah, I've been a Jesse Murph fan since before, I should admit, as an adult male.

00:21:13.300 It was like very strange to tell people that you were a fan.

00:21:19.540 Well, she's got the soul of like a 50-year-old, I feel like, or 60-year-old, 80.

00:21:25.080 It's insane.

00:21:26.260 I remember whenever I first heard her, I was like, wait, how old is she?

00:21:30.160 And she was probably 17, 18. 0.99

00:21:33.240 And I was like, wait, what?

00:21:34.840 And she's such a baller, man. 1.00

00:21:36.120 Like, she walks in the room, and it's just like her presence is so huge.

00:21:39.500 And she's just this little bitty thing, dude, you know? 1.00

00:21:42.700 But amazing, amazing artist. 1.00

00:21:45.000 She's a fucking grenade. 1.00

00:21:46.380 Dude. 1.00

00:21:47.460 Yeah.

00:21:47.820 This is insane.

00:21:48.440 And she's got that look in her eyes like she's just seen it all a million times.

00:21:51.880 Sure.

00:21:52.540 That's what I'm saying.

00:21:53.420 She's like reincarnated, bro.

00:21:54.860 She's like, yeah, she's got it.

00:21:57.140 She's got it going on.

00:21:58.100 Yeah, she might be a refurb or whatever they call it, you know? 1.00

00:22:01.040 Yeah.

00:22:01.520 Hell yeah.

00:22:01.860 God.

00:22:02.960 Oh, God, y'all are beautiful.

00:22:04.540 And I mean both of you, too.

00:22:07.020 I do want to say it like that.

00:22:08.260 No, she's so talented, man. 0.92

00:22:10.020 That song gets stuck in my head, too, man.

00:22:12.040 That hyrule gets stuck in my head.

00:22:13.880 I'll just be doing nothing or doing something that'll come out of me, dude.

00:22:17.340 Where were we at?

00:22:18.700 I was getting, I'm getting the IV. 0.99

00:22:20.880 I'm hungover as shit. 0.99

00:22:21.920 Oh, yeah. 0.99

00:22:22.420 So you got it.

00:22:23.320 And I'm just like, I'm just kind of watching the football game.

00:22:25.840 And I hear you coming down singing high road.

00:22:27.480 I was like, Jesus Christ.

00:22:30.600 Oh, man.

00:22:31.460 I got to get some.

00:22:32.160 And it was like, what were we doing?

00:22:34.580 What was the stuff?

00:22:36.140 Huh?

00:22:36.580 The NAD.

00:22:37.260 NAD.

00:22:38.060 Oh, yeah.

00:22:38.500 Remember we were talking about it.

00:22:39.800 You were like doing however many milligrams.

00:22:42.060 Oh, yeah.

00:22:42.540 And I was doing like 75 or 100, dude.

00:22:44.840 I'm over there about to die.

00:22:46.140 And I just hear you coming down singing high road. 0.99

00:22:47.820 And I'm like, God, shut up, please. 0.99

00:22:51.840 Oh, man. 0.96

00:22:52.700 It's just wild when you get one that gets stuck in your head.

00:22:55.280 Yeah, for sure.

00:22:56.060 You wake up singing it.

00:22:57.260 And you can't get, yeah, it's just all day to them.

00:22:59.140 Yeah.

00:22:59.500 Yeah, man.

00:23:00.740 It's wild, man.

00:23:03.660 What have I been watching?

00:23:04.620 I was watching that JonBenet Rhames.

00:23:05.840 You see that stuff?

00:23:06.480 I haven't seen it.

00:23:07.060 Is it on Netflix?

00:23:08.060 Yeah.

00:23:08.380 I saw it.

00:23:08.880 I haven't watched it yet.

00:23:09.520 But it's just like rehabberdashing, whatever happened in the past, you know?

00:23:15.040 Yeah.

00:23:15.900 Is it kind of like who did it?

00:23:17.600 Are they still on that?

00:23:18.540 Yeah.

00:23:18.740 The dad, though, will now be interviewed.

00:23:20.640 The dad is in it.

00:23:21.860 Okay. 1.00

00:23:22.380 Oh, no shit. 1.00

00:23:23.100 Yeah. 1.00

00:23:23.840 And the dad, I think that the dad, there's just a belief of mine.

00:23:28.820 I believe that the dad had had some kind of inappropriate attraction to the child, maybe.

00:23:36.940 I don't know if I can legally say that or not.

00:23:38.360 It was just my belief.

00:23:40.640 And the mother had been envious of that.

00:23:42.920 The mother unalived.

00:23:45.960 You have to say unalived now.

00:23:47.480 Oh, really?

00:23:48.240 Unalived the child.

00:23:49.540 Unalived.

00:23:49.980 You can't say the other stuff.

00:23:51.600 Yeah, they'll take us down.

00:23:52.720 Really?

00:23:53.220 The mother unalived the child, and then they together figured out the story, right?

00:23:58.580 And neither one of them could rat the other one out because they both had some connection.

00:24:03.360 Some connection to it?

00:24:03.760 Some connection.

00:24:04.580 I think he'd been appropriate.

00:24:05.640 The mother got envious, put the daughter, it was in all these pageants, all this weird

00:24:09.120 stuff.

00:24:09.920 The mother did it on purpose of her accident, and then they both had to help each other

00:24:13.260 cover it up.

00:24:14.180 Did she, was she ever, she never served time or anything, did she?

00:24:17.860 What?

00:24:18.640 The mom?

00:24:19.860 She never served time, no.

00:24:20.980 She ended up passing away at cancer, I believe. 1.00

00:24:22.780 Oh, no shit. 0.99

00:24:23.920 But, um. 0.99

00:24:24.400 I don't think I'm thinking of the same.

00:24:26.040 There's another one.

00:24:26.640 You might be Casey Anthony.

00:24:27.960 Casey Anthony.

00:24:28.360 She lives here.

00:24:29.460 Really?

00:24:30.100 Yeah.

00:24:30.980 What?

00:24:31.520 Where does Casey Anthony live?

00:24:32.620 You got to get her out to a show, dude. 1.00

00:24:35.520 I don't know about that one, bro.

00:24:37.440 Jesus.

00:24:38.680 But she, she did, did she serve time? 1.00

00:24:40.940 I don't know.

00:24:41.820 Let me see.

00:24:42.260 Casey, where's Casey Anthony now?

00:24:46.020 That's a great question.

00:24:48.520 No, wait.

00:24:48.860 She's just in Nashville on Broadway every night.

00:24:51.140 Just, I ain't got a lot.

00:24:53.920 Jeez.

00:24:58.200 Leave them Broadway girls alone. 1.00

00:25:00.300 That's what she's singing, which is a little morose, we're just saying.

00:25:04.700 Where does it say she lives?

00:25:05.660 You see anything on there?

00:25:06.360 Move to Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 1.00

00:25:08.480 Where the fuck is that? 0.99

00:25:11.140 I mean, it sounds like it's close. 0.99

00:25:12.480 Yeah, it's got to be close.

00:25:14.580 Wow.

00:25:15.640 What?

00:25:17.540 Man.

00:25:17.900 I don't, did they have any good big criminals in y'all's town?

00:25:20.980 Any big, any big crime going up over there in Pittsburgh, Texas?

00:25:23.960 Was there something?

00:25:24.240 They said the Texas Chainsaw Massacre came through town, but you know, who knows?

00:25:28.300 Yeah, that could have just been all.

00:25:29.500 Yeah, I mean, he could have been going through.

00:25:31.140 That could have been a guy just repairing two-stroke motors, too.

00:25:33.460 You know what I'm saying?

00:25:34.300 It could have been.

00:25:35.020 He's still living in Pittsburgh, bro.

00:25:36.680 Honestly, honestly, he probably is.

00:25:40.080 I think I know who it is, too.

00:25:42.380 No, they said Bonnie and Clyde came through, and one of the sheriffs there, I mean, Pittsburgh

00:25:49.500 was, I mean, it's still, it's only like 4,000 people, but they said they called them ahead

00:25:53.900 of time or let them know somehow via pigeon or some shit, and they were like, hey, get 0.97

00:25:58.780 the fuck out. 0.99

00:25:59.300 We're coming through. 1.00

00:26:00.060 If you want to live, just get out of our way.

00:26:02.040 That Bonnie and Clyde were coming? 0.99

00:26:02.880 Yeah, and they rolled through, and nobody gave them shit. 0.98

00:26:06.060 Yeah. 0.91

00:26:06.600 Because they hid out in, or they're from Dallas, I think, or somewhere around there.

00:26:10.040 Where's Bonnie and Clyde from?

00:26:10.820 Let's get a look at them.

00:26:11.560 I'm pretty sure.

00:26:12.580 Oak Cliff?

00:26:13.020 South Oak Cliff?

00:26:14.220 Hey.

00:26:14.720 Bonnie was the looker, I think.

00:26:16.420 Yeah, she was a smoke. 1.00

00:26:17.980 Let's see.

00:26:18.460 Let's get a look at them.

00:26:19.460 Get a look at them.

00:26:21.980 Let's see images there.

00:26:23.000 Bonnie and Clyde.

00:26:27.320 Oh, did you watch that one with Emile Hirsch?

00:26:30.120 Uh-uh.

00:26:30.360 Is it good?

00:26:30.820 Oh, dude.

00:26:31.300 Yeah, it's like a three-part series.

00:26:32.840 Oh, I got to watch that.

00:26:33.680 Oh, bro.

00:26:34.080 It's so good.

00:26:35.400 Oh, yeah, Bonnie.

00:26:36.120 Back in the day, dude.

00:26:37.660 You bet.

00:26:38.300 Bro, if she looks good even in that picture. 0.99

00:26:41.100 I think Clyde, he was a little bitty dude, too.

00:26:44.080 Oh, my God.

00:26:45.300 Oh, there they are.

00:26:45.820 Imagine taking those pictures back in the day, dude.

00:26:48.140 Like, hey, I'm going to hold this to you.

00:26:50.000 Get over there with the photo, like the picture.

00:26:51.780 Yeah, and a smoke comes out of it.

00:26:54.040 It must have felt like Satan was doing it.

00:26:56.600 It, like, goes off and, like, pull the trigger. 1.00

00:26:59.500 Yeah, they fucked them up. 1.00

00:27:00.940 Ooh, look at that. 0.99

00:27:02.220 That was in...

00:27:03.800 Ambush.

00:27:04.960 Bainville Parish, I think.

00:27:06.200 On a Louisiana highway, and they still have that car.

00:27:08.080 Yeah.

00:27:08.420 Where was that at?

00:27:09.440 I think it was in Bainville Parish.

00:27:11.200 Oh, yeah, that sounds about right.

00:27:12.680 Yeah, it is a parish over there.

00:27:14.360 It's been 90 years since a posse of lawmen caught up with the outlaw couple Bonnie and

00:27:18.240 Clyde.

00:27:18.620 They were ambushed and killed on a north Louisiana road, but their story is still very much alive

00:27:22.480 in Gibsland, Louisiana, is where it occurred at Bonnie and Clyde.

00:27:28.440 What kind of pieces of history from Bonnie and Clyde?

00:27:31.460 What was their biggest heist?

00:27:32.760 What was Bonnie and Clyde's biggest heist, I wonder?

00:27:34.480 Where are you from, Louisiana?

00:27:40.940 I'm from Covington, Louisiana.

00:27:42.060 We didn't have anything.

00:27:44.200 Lee Harvey Oswald went to our middle school.

00:27:46.100 That was our big thing. 1.00

00:27:46.960 Damn. 0.99

00:27:47.540 That's pretty big. 0.99

00:27:48.700 The gang robbed the first national bank in Stewart, Iowa, in 1934.

00:27:54.540 They did some kidnapping.

00:27:56.760 Kidnapping?

00:27:57.240 I didn't know that.

00:27:58.280 But it says kidnapping of a man and woman.

00:28:00.180 Oh, that's not kidnapping.

00:28:01.320 Yeah, that's just...

00:28:02.060 Just napping.

00:28:02.720 Yeah, I was just making friends, dude.

00:28:08.000 And some car theft. 0.97

00:28:09.440 Damn, they weren't even as bad as some of the... 0.98

00:28:11.720 These Travis Scott fans, I feel like. 0.98

00:28:16.360 You need to watch that...

00:28:19.240 It's like a three-part series.

00:28:20.800 If you like Emile Hirsch, I love Emile Hirsch.

00:28:22.800 Oh, yeah.

00:28:23.340 He's talented.

00:28:25.440 It's great, man.

00:28:26.560 But they kind of went through their whole...

00:28:30.000 Apparently, it was pretty spot on from everything.

00:28:33.460 Yeah, that'd be...

00:28:34.220 I wonder if I could do a good crime.

00:28:37.040 Do you like the history of the gangsters and stuff? 0.98

00:28:41.080 Like Dillinger and all that shit? 0.98

00:28:42.580 Yeah. 0.99

00:28:43.380 That's up my alley, man.

00:28:45.300 Baby face, pretty boy Floyd and all that.

00:28:47.320 Oh, yeah.

00:28:47.760 Remember, they used to have that...

00:28:48.760 What was that movie that had all those guys in it?

00:28:52.000 Public Enemy.

00:28:52.800 Yeah.

00:28:53.140 Yeah, that was a good one.

00:28:54.760 A lot of good actors.

00:28:56.120 Dude, yeah.

00:28:56.660 I wonder if I could be a good criminal or not.

00:28:59.380 What kind of crime I would do. 1.00

00:29:02.140 I wouldn't do kidnapping because I don't want some dumb fucking kid around all the time. 1.00

00:29:05.400 Yeah, no. 1.00

00:29:05.920 That'd be annoying as fuck. 0.99

00:29:07.360 Yeah, and you're like... 0.98

00:29:07.780 And you have to...

00:29:08.180 What?

00:29:08.400 Then you're like...

00:29:09.080 And also, you're going to get caught.

00:29:10.280 You're going to have to go to McDonald's all the time or whatever.

00:29:12.740 That's a bad rap.

00:29:13.620 Yeah, we don't...

00:29:14.260 Yeah, no kids.

00:29:15.400 Oh.

00:29:15.660 So, yeah, I would do something with adults probably or...

00:29:19.340 What's a good crime?

00:29:22.020 Train robbing would be sick.

00:29:23.500 Dude, I think about that all the time.

00:29:24.960 Like, back in the gap.

00:29:26.040 Like, cowboy days, dude.

00:29:27.700 Just pulling up on that thing.

00:29:28.680 Just throwing up a dynamite in there and throwing it up.

00:29:31.240 And there's some rich guy just eating in the window or whatever. 0.99

00:29:33.960 What the fuck's going on over here? 0.99

00:29:35.680 Pop one off into him. 1.00

00:29:37.180 Just shoot right through his Salisbury steak or something.

00:29:40.540 Next thing you know, you're in there.

00:29:41.320 But then you get in there and you have to look for the money.

00:29:43.600 That's got to be the worst. 1.00

00:29:44.740 Somebody tell us what the fuck it is. 0.99

00:29:46.300 But no, that's what... 0.99

00:29:47.240 Like, a gunslinger back in the day, man, that'd be so sick.

00:29:49.900 I know.

00:29:50.260 It'd be so wild. 0.87

00:29:51.700 I was just reading about a lot of hookers and stuff that were on the... 1.00

00:29:56.620 Like, whenever they had Gold Rush and stuff like that.

00:29:59.540 Like, a lot of hookers started up some big madaming and stuff out there 1.00

00:30:03.520 when there's Gold Rush towns. 0.81

00:30:04.420 Really?

00:30:04.580 Yeah.

00:30:04.920 That's dope. 0.93

00:30:05.600 And it was pretty wild.

00:30:06.780 And they would...

00:30:07.740 You know, they'd get other women to work for them and stuff like that. 1.00

00:30:10.560 It's just kind of fascinating to learn about.

00:30:12.300 Yeah.

00:30:12.960 But yeah, I wonder if I could do a good...

00:30:14.540 Ooh, you know what would be a good...

00:30:14.740 Ooh, you know what would be a good crime, I think?

00:30:16.160 Get a hot air balloon, drop in that way. 1.00

00:30:19.000 Nobody sees that shit coming. 1.00

00:30:20.500 No. 1.00

00:30:20.940 Absolutely. 0.99

00:30:21.460 Like, first, what the fuck is happening? 0.99

00:30:23.820 Yeah. 0.99

00:30:25.000 Yeah.

00:30:25.380 They...

00:30:25.600 I don't know. 1.00

00:30:26.640 With drones and shit, probably... 0.99

00:30:28.540 You couldn't get away with that. 0.99

00:30:30.120 I mean, they'd be...

00:30:30.900 Back in the gap, yeah.

00:30:32.040 Yeah.

00:30:32.620 But yeah, drones...

00:30:33.720 Yeah.

00:30:34.460 I wonder if we'll be able to travel by drone.

00:30:36.120 They have that stuff now where you can kind of...

00:30:37.760 I saw one the other day.

00:30:39.400 It's like, somebody sits in it and it's got the blades and stuff.

00:30:42.240 Don't look too safe, though.

00:30:43.340 It's like, how many beers do I need before I get in this thing?

00:30:48.420 Especially if your buddy gets a hold of that remote for 30 seconds, dude.

00:30:52.280 He's taking you right into some power lines, dude. 1.00

00:30:54.880 He's done some fucked up shit to me. 1.00

00:30:56.080 Let me see it, bro. 1.00

00:30:57.020 Like, you would have done the same for me, buddy.

00:30:59.800 Yeah.

00:31:00.300 And if you're...

00:31:00.720 Especially if you're wearing like a Vols jersey or something, he just takes you around.

00:31:03.680 He takes you into Athens, Georgia.

00:31:06.340 That's what I'm talking about.

00:31:07.260 Yes. 0.99

00:31:07.860 See, that shit don't look safe. 1.00

00:31:09.120 Oh, hell no. 1.00

00:31:09.960 That's looking like something Kid Rock would buy.

00:31:12.380 Kid Rock has one right now, bro.

00:31:14.940 We hear it.

00:31:15.500 It just pulls up.

00:31:16.460 That thing runs on probably diesel or something.

00:31:18.700 Kerosene.

00:31:20.120 Or just runs on some of Kid Rock's bad music, too.

00:31:23.660 That's what it does.

00:31:24.800 Kid Rock, dude. 0.99

00:31:26.060 Every time you play ball with a ball, it fucking takes off. 1.00

00:31:29.040 Balls. 0.99

00:31:31.800 I'm joking, Bob.

00:31:33.620 I'm joking, dude.

00:31:34.900 Oh, Bob, man.

00:31:36.620 He loves to have a good time, man.

00:32:13.160 Each player has a set projection.

00:32:15.460 And you choose either more or less than that set projection.

00:32:19.300 That's what I love about PrizePix.

00:32:20.860 For example, you could choose Anthony Edwards and more than 17 points.

00:32:26.020 Or you could choose Bo Nix and less than 22 completions.

00:32:31.240 It's up to the player and it's up to you.

00:32:34.180 PrizePix has a brand new feature also called Live Squares available now.

00:32:39.680 Live Squares allows you to pick a player's full game projection after the game has started.

00:32:45.760 So that's some in-game activity.

00:32:48.220 The projection changes based on the player's live progress.

00:32:51.860 Look for the red dot indicating a game is in progress.

00:32:56.160 If you are smart with sports and you know what players are going to perform on what nights,

00:33:00.760 PrizePix is the best app for you.

00:33:03.580 First-time users, download the PrizePix app, use code THEO,

00:33:08.080 and PrizePix will instantly give you $50 on your first lineup of $5 or more.

00:33:13.620 No strings attached.

00:33:14.720 Put in $5 and instantly get a free $50.

00:33:19.000 If you're looking for a great gift for that special someone, I've got the perfect fit.

00:33:24.940 It's the smooth, soft, stretchy, breathable fabric of Tommy John underwear.

00:33:31.500 Just think about how much underwear you go through in a year.

00:33:34.140 You can make that easier on your friends and family by gifting them Tommy John.

00:33:40.980 I like Tommy John because I like the underwears, the strap on the belt on them, the waistband.

00:33:49.400 It's not as tight.

00:33:50.240 So it's not just squeezing me all the time, making me rashy or making me do urine.

00:33:56.840 I like them Tommy Johns.

00:33:58.660 They're loose and just make me feel good like I am good because I am.

00:34:04.800 I gift and wear Tommy John and you should too because they're that good.

00:34:10.740 If I needed underwear and loungewear, sleepwear, it's what I'd buy for myself.

00:34:16.180 So it's what I'm buying for you.

00:34:17.680 My loved ones are going to be just so dang cozy.

00:34:51.060 You ever ready to cancel a show out there on tour?

00:34:53.200 Anything ever happen to you?

00:34:54.500 Yeah.

00:34:55.160 I don't like to do it, man.

00:34:56.600 We haven't done it a whole lot.

00:34:59.580 I think we didn't have to cancel any on this tour.

00:35:04.180 Oh, yeah.

00:35:05.620 Festival, I got sick for it.

00:35:06.720 And then whenever the hurricane came through, we had to cancel show.

00:35:09.840 We had to reschedule.

00:35:10.700 But last year during the Hell Paso tour, man, like I said, it was crazy.

00:35:15.060 I would just get, you know, the whiskey and everything.

00:35:18.500 I give up whiskey, by the way, this year.

00:35:20.580 I stopped drinking whiskey.

00:35:21.880 Switched to tequila.

00:35:22.980 But, you know, last year at the Hell Paso, dude, I was just, I get to a point where I couldn't talk, you know.

00:35:28.500 And I would just be giving it everything just to say a sentence or whatever.

00:35:32.480 And we had to cancel a couple.

00:35:33.760 And that sucked.

00:35:34.840 So after that, dude, I was like, no more.

00:35:36.560 You know what I'm saying?

00:35:37.380 You set that whiskey down.

00:35:38.780 Dude.

00:35:39.420 As much as I love it, it's just, man, it's rough on me, man.

00:35:42.540 And, like, you know, I can drink tequila and not feel half as bad as I do with whiskey.

00:35:46.720 Well, your legs don't work as good in your neck.

00:35:50.360 Hey, dude, yeah, you get that 15-gallon head, bro, somebody just starts swaying back and forth.

00:35:55.600 And, like, I'll be like a cat.

00:35:56.560 Like, I hit the ground and bounce it up really quick and think that nobody noticed, but I'm so big. 0.99

00:36:00.980 And just shake shit off the wall and be like, what the fuck is up with this guy, dude? 0.98

00:36:05.720 Like Chris Farley just laying it on a table. 1.00

00:36:07.860 Yes, bro.

00:36:08.280 That's nine lives, man.

00:36:09.340 That's me, bro.

00:36:10.540 Wild, dude.

00:36:11.740 Oh, they kicked you out.

00:36:12.720 I remember that one, actually, dude.

00:36:15.020 I remember that one.

00:36:15.720 Oh, yeah, when they kicked me out.

00:36:17.340 That's fun, bro.

00:36:18.140 Yeah, your whole journey.

00:36:18.920 So you guys do such a good job of sharing your journey, honestly, like on social media, dude.

00:36:23.680 I feel like you guys are just really earnest about everything that happens in y'all's world.

00:36:28.040 Yeah.

00:36:28.340 You know, a lot of people don't really operate that way.

00:36:30.280 You know, you guys are just really, I think, clear to your fans and stuff.

00:36:34.680 Do you feel like, and I think that alone kind of keeps you away from being like a mainstream

00:36:41.360 thing, you know, because you don't have a PR guy telling you this or telling you that.

00:36:45.060 Yeah, for sure.

00:36:45.840 And it's like, and with the fans, too, it's not like if I were to do something, it's kind

00:36:50.000 of like they're not going to be shocked by it. 0.99

00:36:51.380 You know, they're like, oh, you know, fuck over doing that. 0.99

00:36:53.760 You know, it's, I mean, it's kind of been our thing from the get-go is kind of be ourselves. 0.99

00:36:58.820 You know, like we're not going to change for anybody.

00:37:01.240 We're not going to act like somebody that we're not, you know.

00:37:03.040 So, I think that's kind of been it.

00:37:05.580 And, you know, people have kind of embraced us for doing that.

00:37:08.500 And that's kind of like, you know, puts us apart from other people, you know, I think.

00:37:13.280 Oh, yeah.

00:37:13.720 So, yeah, I don't know.

00:37:15.820 I mean, some of it maybe wouldn't, would rather it not be out there.

00:37:20.340 But, you know, it's just life, man.

00:37:23.040 Yeah, it's the realness, though.

00:37:24.160 Yeah, man, for sure.

00:37:24.960 And it makes it, it really makes it you.

00:37:27.040 It's like, that is him.

00:37:28.280 It's like, that is his world.

00:37:29.880 And it's really the world that most people can relate to. 0.99

00:37:32.200 Who can relate to some type of perfect, polished fucking, that's unrealistic. 0.95

00:37:36.580 There's got to be some excitement a little bit, you know. 0.99

00:37:38.400 There's got to be a little bit of excitement.

00:37:39.780 A little bit of spice.

00:37:40.720 Somebody's got to go missing.

00:37:42.780 You know what I'm saying?

00:37:43.740 Somebody's got to go to jail.

00:37:44.980 We've got to figure out where this dude is.

00:37:46.840 Yeah, you guys have always kind of been in like, and kind of put in this outlaw country

00:37:50.280 type of place, you know.

00:37:51.740 Yeah.

00:37:52.820 Do you feel like there's still a lot of outlaws in the business?

00:37:55.420 Do you feel like it's growing?

00:37:56.860 Do you feel like it's changing?

00:37:57.800 What do you think?

00:37:58.380 Who were the outlaws?

00:37:59.400 Who were your outlaws at first?

00:38:02.200 Man, yeah, I think there's some outlaws out there for sure.

00:38:06.440 Maybe not, maybe not that are as, you know, like maybe as big, I would say.

00:38:12.260 But there's definitely some dogs out there.

00:38:17.000 Man, I don't know.

00:38:20.600 Kind of hard to, I don't know.

00:38:23.420 Who do you say is a dog out there, man?

00:38:25.000 Paul Caughton, Paul Caughton is about as close to, do you know who Paul Caughton is?

00:38:32.140 I've heard of him.

00:38:34.080 He's about as close to outlaws as I get, man. 0.99

00:38:36.800 He doesn't give a fuck. 1.00

00:38:39.080 Dude, he's my dog, yeah. 0.99

00:38:41.180 Yeah.

00:38:41.660 He's a beast, man.

00:38:43.020 His music's great.

00:38:45.140 I mean, he lives what he writes, man.

00:38:46.900 He's definitely an outlaw right now, man.

00:38:50.660 Yeah, I'd like to get to meet that man.

00:38:53.780 Dude, you've got to, you've got to have him on, man.

00:38:56.120 He is, he is his own person and dude, he's a, he's a legend.

00:39:00.460 He's one on one, huh?

00:39:01.800 Absolutely, man.

00:39:02.720 He's Texas legend for sure.

00:39:04.200 I think there's a lot of guys that still, I mean, in a weird way, there are, a lot of

00:39:09.180 people kind of do it their own way now because they make their own road.

00:39:12.440 Yeah, for sure.

00:39:12.880 Like with social media, especially in just filming your own content or behind the scenes 0.99

00:39:17.600 or whatever, you, you make your own shit now. 0.98

00:39:20.200 It's not like you need to have some big producer help you do it. 0.99

00:39:23.300 Yeah.

00:39:23.680 Like I've said before, like, I don't think the word outlaw is what it used to be.

00:39:28.260 You know, like, I think it's, it's kind of doing what you're talking about, just going

00:39:31.860 out and doing everything your own way, you know, paving your own road and just kind

00:39:36.460 of being a trailblazer pretty much.

00:39:38.200 You know, I think that's, ain't going to be considered as being an outlaw.

00:39:41.420 So, um, cause it's not, it's not the eighties anymore. 0.99

00:39:44.560 You know, we can't get, you can't get away with a whole lot of shit these days, man. 1.00

00:39:48.440 Everybody's a narc. 1.00

00:39:49.620 Dude, man. 1.00

00:39:50.440 Dude, remember when they had fucking narcs and shit, dude? 1.00

00:39:52.800 Dude, first of all, the shittiest job you could get in high school was being a fucking 1.00

00:39:56.560 narc. 1.00

00:39:57.300 Dude, that's weird.

00:39:58.860 Bro, they gave you a little card.

00:40:00.420 It was like, congratulations.

00:40:02.100 Thank you. 1.00

00:40:02.580 You're a narc. 0.99

00:40:03.140 Yeah. 0.98

00:40:04.480 And it set it on the card and I was like, that's the one thing you can't put on the card, dude.

00:40:09.100 And then that dude would, like, he would try to arrest people at a party or something. 0.94

00:40:14.460 People would beat the shit out of him. 1.00

00:40:15.420 Get the fuck away from me. 1.00

00:40:17.240 School's out, bitch. 1.00

00:40:19.580 And then it would take the cops like three weeks to have a meeting with the kid or whatever. 0.99

00:40:24.260 And it's just the whole system.

00:40:26.420 Oh, man.

00:40:28.160 That's fine.

00:40:28.560 Yeah.

00:40:28.740 I wish, uh, I could go back and think about like the Motley Crue days, like the eighties,

00:40:33.520 bro.

00:40:34.640 Did you live through the eighties?

00:40:36.080 I was alive in them, but yeah, I was small.

00:40:38.620 Yeah.

00:40:38.760 Yeah.

00:40:39.000 You were younger.

00:40:39.700 But yeah, I mean, you talk to guys like, um, like I remember my first concert I went

00:40:43.880 to was Marilyn Manson.

00:40:44.900 Right.

00:40:45.500 And this dude took us and yeah. 0.64

00:40:47.300 And he was like, um, I guess he was like a pedophile or whatever.

00:40:50.460 We didn't know he was right.

00:40:51.820 So he was just a guy we knew who was also a pedophile, but we didn't know that part.

00:40:58.160 But anyway, he took us over.

00:40:59.880 He's like, I can get y'all tickets to Marilyn Manson.

00:41:01.740 We just started listening to him, dude.

00:41:03.160 And I think we're probably about 14.

00:41:05.360 And this dude, um, dropped us off there and we're the only people under age that were in

00:41:11.120 there.

00:41:11.300 Like they, I think it was, it was probably an 18 show and like Manson, like cut open Twiggy

00:41:17.540 Ramirez or like one of his, uh, one of the other band members with a bottle, somebody

00:41:22.440 cut one of the band members, cut themselves open or cut another one open with a bottle

00:41:26.840 on stage. 0.67

00:41:27.660 He was like bleeding everywhere.

00:41:29.440 The ambulance had to come. 1.00

00:41:30.740 I bet y'all were like, holy shit. 0.99

00:41:32.640 It was awesome. 0.99

00:41:33.420 Dude, we're in the bathroom peeing and somebody goes, what are these kids doing in here?

00:41:38.260 And then somebody else from another stall goes, don't worry.

00:41:42.480 Somebody will.

00:41:45.100 That's what somebody said, dude.

00:41:46.640 The first red flag should have been this dude just getting y'all Marilyn Manson tickets.

00:41:51.740 Yeah.

00:41:51.760 I'm like, oh my God.

00:41:53.900 Richard Slangenstein was his name, bro.

00:41:56.320 Did he go in with y'all?

00:41:57.640 No, no, no, no, no.

00:41:58.680 He went to gamble.

00:42:00.340 Pull him up.

00:42:01.060 Richard Slangenstein.

00:42:03.500 Pull him up.

00:42:04.160 And he was just a real. 0.98

00:42:05.200 Oh, he was a known pedophile. 0.97

00:42:06.280 Oh, yeah, yeah.

00:42:07.080 He was, he hadn't won awards or whatever, but he was, um, he was in the trenches or whatever.

00:42:14.460 Is that him?

00:42:15.200 No, maybe there's more than one of him.

00:42:18.080 Jesus.

00:42:18.600 That guy, we're up there with the, the father right there.

00:42:21.700 We can't show the wrong one.

00:42:23.360 That guy.

00:42:24.920 Um, oh, that's, that looks like, oh, that's a, yeah, that's a liberal.

00:42:31.300 Oh, man.

00:42:32.300 That's all that is, dude.

00:42:34.360 Yeah.

00:42:34.640 Theo pulls up.

00:42:36.680 That guy's a bookie.

00:42:37.580 Hold on.

00:42:38.040 That one guy's a bookie.

00:42:39.300 Go back.

00:42:39.740 God, that guy's just a book.

00:42:41.680 You up one?

00:42:42.480 No.

00:42:42.940 Right.

00:42:43.520 Right there.

00:42:44.220 Yeah.

00:42:44.860 That guy's just taking wagers on the jets, dude.

00:42:47.960 That's yeah.

00:42:49.020 We have to take some of this out because we just accused a lot of guys being pedophiles.

00:42:52.420 But no, old Slangenstein. 0.79

00:42:54.160 He wasn't bad.

00:42:54.780 He was, he was what he was.

00:42:56.500 Slangenstein.

00:42:57.020 That's what they called him.

00:42:58.340 Um, but yeah, that was my first show.

00:43:00.040 What was yours, man?

00:43:01.340 Uh, first show.

00:43:02.520 Do you really remember?

00:43:03.420 Yeah.

00:43:03.780 I mean, so my mom played, uh, she do like old Opry houses and stuff like that. 1.00

00:43:09.080 So she was a singer. 0.96

00:43:09.860 Yeah.

00:43:10.100 She was, she was, she sang and, uh, just play with like a bunch of old drunk, uh, honky 0.99

00:43:15.060 tonk dudes.

00:43:15.680 Right. 1.00

00:43:16.240 I'll be that little shithead kid, like running up and down the halls, throwing popcorn at 1.00

00:43:19.520 people. 0.99

00:43:20.340 And, uh, yeah.

00:43:21.500 So, I mean, I was, I was around, uh, music growing up, but I think my first actual concert

00:43:26.480 was, uh, Stoney LaRue.

00:43:28.900 You ever heard of Stoney LaRue?

00:43:29.920 Bring him up.

00:43:30.660 He's, uh, he's a man or woman?

00:43:32.440 Uh, dude, he, uh, he's like a, he's Red Dirt King, man.

00:43:36.740 Oklahoma cat.

00:43:38.160 Um, there he is.

00:43:39.440 Wow.

00:43:39.860 And, uh, you need to get into his music, man.

00:43:42.460 He's phenomenal.

00:43:44.000 Um, and it was at the Waco Fairgrounds.

00:43:46.460 My cousins were going to Baylor.

00:43:47.840 Mm-hmm.

00:43:48.460 I think I was like sixth or seventh grade, maybe.

00:43:51.800 And, uh, these college girls come up to me like, Hey, what's going on? 1.00

00:43:55.840 You know?

00:43:56.180 And my cousin, her friend steps in and she's like, Hey babe, here's your beer.

00:44:01.040 And like, just trying to, to deter them or whatever.

00:44:03.580 And I take this beer and I hammer it and they're like, all right, whatever. 0.99

00:44:07.020 She's like, what the fuck are you doing? 0.99

00:44:08.420 You weren't supposed to drink that beer. 0.99

00:44:09.520 I'm like, so we get back to the hotel that night. 1.00

00:44:11.580 My mom beats my ass. 1.00

00:44:12.760 It's all good. 1.00

00:44:13.200 Oh yeah.

00:44:13.780 But Stoney, I'll never forget it.

00:44:15.080 Yeah.

00:44:15.440 Texas moon.

00:44:17.200 Stoney LaRue.

00:44:18.340 Yeah.

00:44:18.560 Um, and is he still alive?

00:44:23.320 Mm-hmm.

00:44:23.820 Oh, good.

00:44:25.120 Yeah.

00:44:25.400 He's got some, uh, he's got some bangers.

00:44:27.220 That warms my heart, dude.

00:44:28.480 I just saw Struggle Jennings play.

00:44:29.880 We were playing in the same town.

00:44:31.040 Oh, really?

00:44:31.700 Pretty cool, man.

00:44:32.760 I haven't, uh, I hadn't met the show yet.

00:44:36.220 Him and yeah, cause he was him and Jelly Roll are friends.

00:44:39.040 And Yellow Wolf, that whole gang, remember? 0.99

00:44:41.320 That was really that white, um, sort of, uh, yeah, that Slamerican, that sort of fucking 0.99

00:44:49.180 missing person. 0.99

00:44:50.720 I like Wolf, man.

00:44:52.080 Uh, oh yeah.

00:44:53.240 They, all of that.

00:44:54.360 Yellow Wolf, Jelly Roll.

00:44:55.960 Oh.

00:44:56.880 I used to listen to Pop the Trunk before football games, man.

00:45:00.320 And it's like.

00:45:01.800 Oh, there's, I don't know if there is a better anthem, dude.

00:45:03.880 Dude, it's so good.

00:45:05.680 Yeah, dude.

00:45:06.200 They even had, they had Jelly Roll out there, Yellow Wolf.

00:45:08.760 We even saw Jelly Wolf was out there. 1.00

00:45:10.800 We're like, who the fuck is that? 0.99

00:45:12.220 It's just some. 1.00

00:45:12.720 It's just some dude in ICP, man.

00:45:14.720 Yeah, dude. 1.00

00:45:16.040 It's just a fucking, yeah. 0.99

00:45:18.500 It was Jelly Wolf. 0.99

00:45:19.600 Yeah, it was just, it was a St. Bernard with a couple of face tattoos on him.

00:45:23.280 Yeah, yeah.

00:45:24.740 Oh, man.

00:45:25.420 Driving a Cybertruck.

00:45:26.720 Well, we saw a struggle, man.

00:45:28.860 It was awesome to go see him.

00:45:30.040 He puts on a great show.

00:45:31.680 Where was it?

00:45:32.300 I think, I feel like it was in Montana.

00:45:34.860 Somewhere.

00:45:35.460 Well, we got to go meet him backstage after and, and, um, with his crew.

00:45:39.020 He's got a great group.

00:45:39.840 See, who's performing with him real quick?

00:45:41.960 Who, who, who's out there on the road with the.

00:45:43.600 Listen, I mean, that's another ally right there.

00:45:45.280 I mean.

00:45:46.300 With Struggle Jennings. 0.67

00:45:47.600 Yeah, he's been out there doing it, man.

00:45:49.880 He's been out there doing it.

00:45:51.140 Yeah.

00:45:51.260 Um, yeah, and you know, there's something also, there's something nice about when you have

00:45:59.980 a, um, when you're not as mainstream.

00:46:02.680 Yeah.

00:46:03.260 That there's a real relationship between you and your fans.

00:46:06.300 Yeah, for sure.

00:46:06.860 Caitlin Curtis and Brianna Harness or Brianna Harness.

00:46:12.620 I don't know if that's the newest tour or not.

00:46:15.600 Is that Tom McDonald?

00:46:18.240 Oh yeah, it might be.

00:46:19.480 I think he's a, he's a, he's a, he's a rapper.

00:46:21.620 They had a song together, I think.

00:46:23.300 Yeah.

00:46:23.520 Yeah.

00:46:23.600 He's cold.

00:46:24.780 Oh, Tommy Vax, dude.

00:46:27.340 It's Tommy Vax.

00:46:28.780 Wow, bro.

00:46:29.660 That's crazy.

00:46:30.480 I know him.

00:46:32.060 I know him.

00:46:33.520 That's just crazy.

00:46:34.920 Well, some of you just, it's amazing who you see on Google of who you know.

00:46:40.700 Um.

00:46:42.500 Rock.

00:46:43.300 Yeah, he's a rock dog right there.

00:46:46.280 Oh yeah, for sure.

00:46:49.140 Um, yeah, there's something nice about when something is, uh, still grassroots.

00:46:53.720 Yeah, for sure.

00:46:54.680 That you feel this weird thing, it's like, it's like your thing.

00:46:58.020 Yeah, and I feel like it gives the fans like a, a, a, more of a connection, you know, like.

00:47:02.740 Oh yeah. 0.99

00:47:03.360 That he's one of us, you know, like type shit. 0.99

00:47:05.600 You go see him and they're like, man. 0.99

00:47:07.020 Yeah.

00:47:07.920 He's one of us, dude.

00:47:09.460 He's the same.

00:47:10.060 Google guy with one of us.

00:47:11.980 We accept you, one of us.

00:47:13.560 What is that?

00:47:14.380 The Wolf of Wall Street, when they're sitting there.

00:47:16.520 You never see that?

00:47:17.340 I've seen it, yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:47:18.940 And what, he's in a wheelchair?

00:47:20.220 What is, what happened?

00:47:21.960 I don't know.

00:47:22.680 God.

00:47:23.160 I think this is whenever we're talking about the little people, strapping them to the

00:47:25.940 board.

00:47:26.660 Oh yeah.

00:47:27.300 And sliding them down at the, the pins.

00:47:29.160 Different times, dude.

00:47:30.780 When was, that would have been early nineties, late eighties?

00:47:33.720 Yeah.

00:47:34.520 Oh dude, if I was, if I was backed in, I would have definitely been doing, I'm not going to

00:47:39.680 say it out loud.

00:47:40.300 I'll spell it real quick in case there's any kids listening to the cars anywhere.

00:47:43.580 M-U-R-D-E-R-S. 1.00

00:47:45.300 And that's what I would have been doing.

00:47:49.440 But now they catch you.

00:47:50.580 You can't even do no good crime anymore.

00:47:52.420 You can't.

00:47:52.900 That's the thing.

00:47:53.500 We've taken a lot of fun out of it.

00:47:54.840 You can't be a train robber.

00:47:56.360 You can't, the horse will rat you out now.

00:47:58.200 It's like, it's like, and it's only for like a little bit, like five years at a time,

00:48:01.600 10 years at a time until it blows up.

00:48:03.860 And it's like, ah man, you missed that.

00:48:05.920 You know?

00:48:07.080 Like, what do you mean? 0.98

00:48:07.760 I mean, just like, like train robbing or like robbing shit or whatever, or, you know, 0.97

00:48:12.860 partying really fucking hard in the eighties and then just slowing down and. 0.95

00:48:16.820 People part, I just, I wonder who partied the hard. 0.96

00:48:19.120 We had Tommy Lee on one time. 0.98

00:48:20.500 He's the fucking greatest dude. 0.99

00:48:22.400 I'm a big Molly Crew guy, so. 0.99

00:48:24.220 Bro, they were so good.

00:48:25.820 Girls, girls, girls.

00:48:26.920 Oh yeah.

00:48:28.020 Girls, girls, girls.

00:48:30.280 God, dude, I can't even imagine.

00:48:33.080 And he was good looking.

00:48:34.780 Yeah.

00:48:35.380 That was the deal.

00:48:36.040 Like they, they had, they had everything, bro.

00:48:38.420 Imagine being famous and then also being good looking.

00:48:41.100 Like what a lucky guy.

00:48:44.920 You know what I'm saying?

00:48:45.920 I think Tommy was, he was really young too, right?

00:48:48.800 Whenever all that was going on.

00:48:50.320 Yeah.

00:48:50.440 Imagine having all that, all that going on at 21, 20, bro.

00:48:55.820 I wouldn't be alive.

00:48:56.940 I would not be alive.

00:48:57.800 There's no way.

00:48:58.800 I wouldn't be alive.

00:49:00.000 Like Columbia, people from Columbia or whatever, the ambassador, they're always sending me

00:49:03.760 these, come down to Columbia.

00:49:04.920 We'd love to have you down here, I guess.

00:49:06.740 Y'all don't want me.

00:49:08.120 I'm like, dude, they're like, we'll give you five free tickets to Columbia. 0.99

00:49:11.660 I'm like, dude, I will fucking. 0.98

00:49:14.820 If they do holler at me, I'll go with you. 1.00

00:49:16.960 I will die down there, bro. 1.00

00:49:18.820 I'm fucking going to Columbia. 1.00

00:49:20.920 They said it's actually really nice to go to these days. 0.99

00:49:23.480 I'm sure it is.

00:49:24.580 But I think it's, yeah.

00:49:26.540 I just think they want to do ransoms or whatever.

00:49:29.200 That's the thing.

00:49:29.680 So they try to get you down there. 1.00

00:49:31.140 Oh yeah, fuck that. 1.00

00:49:31.520 And they want to do ransoms. 1.00

00:49:33.080 I would not.

00:49:34.100 Yeah, I would not make it down there.

00:49:35.660 Dude, if I even grew up in Columbia, I would get an eight ball for like my seventh birthday. 0.99

00:49:40.840 I would fucking. 0.99

00:49:42.680 And it would be lights out, bro. 1.00

00:49:45.020 We're mainlining this shit. 1.00

00:49:46.260 It's my birthday. 1.00

00:49:48.020 What's the town in Texas?

00:49:49.140 We got some shows coming up in Texas.

00:49:50.120 We're going to Benton.

00:49:51.780 Benton, Texas?

00:49:52.540 Yeah.

00:49:52.760 We're going to Texas A&M over there.

00:49:56.920 Nice.

00:49:57.420 Where are we at in College Station?

00:49:59.280 Not sure.

00:50:00.340 There's a new casino in Benton. 0.99

00:50:02.680 I don't know shit. 0.99

00:50:03.460 Yeah. 0.99

00:50:05.460 Is it?

00:50:05.980 Oh, Belton.

00:50:06.900 Sorry.

00:50:07.280 Belton.

00:50:07.440 Yeah, yeah.

00:50:07.880 Belton.

00:50:08.300 They keep changing the name of it.

00:50:10.440 Belton's out there about Waco.

00:50:11.740 Yeah, we're going over to Belton.

00:50:13.860 Waco is where, so when Parker was on, he told you this story about that strip club or whatever

00:50:18.300 we went to.

00:50:19.200 And yeah, that's right outside of Waco.

00:50:20.840 Is it a good spot? 0.95

00:50:21.680 No, it's the shittiest strip club in the world.

00:50:24.440 Is that the best one you've ever been to, you think? 0.91

00:50:26.340 Strip club?

00:50:26.780 Yeah.

00:50:27.000 Absolutely.

00:50:27.540 No.

00:50:28.620 But it needed to be redecorated, I guess.

00:50:33.160 I just, I gave it to him. 0.99

00:50:36.680 Who the fuck is even decorating a strip club? 1.00

00:50:40.800 There were just mirrors everywhere. 1.00

00:50:42.200 And I was like, man, fuck one of these mirrors, bro. 0.99

00:50:45.600 Dude, I found the pictures that he was talking about, like us kicking holes in the drywall. 1.00

00:50:51.680 And shit. 0.98

00:50:52.440 And so somebody had found him and sent him to me. 1.00

00:50:55.980 And I was like, oh, fuck, man. 0.99

00:50:58.720 And it's just, it's kind of like passed out next to him, like drywall everywhere. 1.00

00:51:05.200 Wow.

00:51:06.100 We had some good times.

00:51:07.380 I've been to some, I'm trying to think of one.

00:51:08.900 Oh, in Shreveport, Louisiana, they had a strip club. 0.99

00:51:11.240 And they had a woman in there just built like a damn cenotaur or whatever. 1.00

00:51:15.000 Is that the one? 0.99

00:51:15.940 Or minotaur.

00:51:16.640 Pull up cenotaur or minotaur.

00:51:18.480 Minotaur.

00:51:20.260 One of them's on Test 200, I think.

00:51:23.620 I don't remember which one it is, but one of them.

00:51:26.740 Which one is that?

00:51:28.280 Centaur, yeah.

00:51:29.260 Centaur.

00:51:29.620 This lady was centaured up. 1.00

00:51:31.860 She was definitely.

00:51:34.500 It's probably Larry Flintson.

00:51:36.260 It feels in Shreveport.

00:51:39.340 Larry Flintson's pretty good.

00:51:41.220 This was not that good.

00:51:42.800 This was. 1.00

00:51:43.080 This lady looked like a damn off-duty pony. 1.00

00:51:52.440 She just. 1.00

00:51:53.820 Like a Monday night.

00:51:55.080 Oh, bro.

00:51:55.480 And she was on the tallest heels ever.

00:51:57.440 She was trying to make herself look taller.

00:51:58.900 I think she was.

00:51:59.380 Oh, my God. 1.00

00:52:00.300 Them heels, bro, them bitches were. 1.00

00:52:02.360 I mean, if you took. 0.99

00:52:04.180 They had the little sticker on them with like this on the top of a ladder.

00:52:07.080 Do not step right here. 0.99

00:52:09.060 That was all them bitches, dude. 1.00

00:52:11.880 Oh, man. 1.00

00:52:12.700 She was in them.

00:52:13.640 God.

00:52:14.340 It was so nerve-wracking to get her up there.

00:52:16.720 You spent a lot of time.

00:52:17.720 Yeah, Louisiana.

00:52:18.480 Over the years, I have.

00:52:19.800 I used to go to comedy clubs there.

00:52:21.420 You know what's kind of sad is you go to clubs, and over the years, they close down.

00:52:24.520 Yeah.

00:52:25.460 Is that the same with music?

00:52:26.300 Yeah.

00:52:26.860 I mean, kind of the same.

00:52:28.020 I mean, there's like.

00:52:31.300 Businesses really don't last a whole lot.

00:52:32.840 Like a long time over there for some reason.

00:52:35.420 I don't know why.

00:52:36.240 I mean, it's kind of everywhere in Louisiana, East Texas.

00:52:39.520 Like, you know, unless they're established or a big chain.

00:52:42.540 They just, they don't last for some reason.

00:52:44.420 I don't know what it is.

00:52:45.760 That's a good point, man.

00:52:47.460 Yeah, I always wanted to go to Longview.

00:52:49.120 I never got to go there.

00:52:49.880 Yeah, see, that's.

00:52:50.720 Every time I went to like the mall and somewhere nice to eat or whatever, we'd have to go to Longview to go, so.

00:52:54.980 Yeah.

00:52:55.800 I grew up.

00:52:56.740 How far did you grow up from Shreveport?

00:52:58.820 Like four hours.

00:52:59.860 Yeah, okay.

00:53:00.200 So, you're like middle of them.

00:53:02.080 Yeah, I'm a little.

00:53:02.660 I'm like, I'm north of New Orleans about one hour.

00:53:04.960 Okay.

00:53:06.180 So, our town's pretty normal.

00:53:07.440 Did y'all go to Beaumont?

00:53:07.720 About 4,000, about the same time, same size as your town.

00:53:10.020 Yeah.

00:53:10.280 Kind of a perfect size for a town.

00:53:11.640 Yeah, I love it.

00:53:12.960 Dude, there was nothing better, dude.

00:53:15.660 Because you were just.

00:53:16.980 There was like two.

00:53:19.520 There was enough.

00:53:21.560 There was just enough people to make things interesting.

00:53:25.180 Like you knew everybody, but the select few you didn't know.

00:53:28.580 You kind of made up your own stories.

00:53:29.840 Yeah.

00:53:30.060 It was kind of like.

00:53:30.880 Kind of mysterious.

00:53:32.060 Like, I wonder what they do.

00:53:33.780 Why don't they come to church?

00:53:35.680 Yeah.

00:53:36.440 Oh, yeah.

00:53:37.060 We had a dude that had a. 0.97

00:53:38.600 They bought him a bike and he was.

00:53:40.200 He might have been mentally disabled or something.

00:53:42.040 But he might not have been, right?

00:53:43.740 We don't know him.

00:53:44.740 And, but his bike had a baby seat on the back of it.

00:53:49.100 So there was this story that like he had a kid that had like gone missing or whatever.

00:53:53.980 And he would always ride in the rent.

00:53:55.320 It was like a sad man whose wife had left him after the baby had been missing or whatever.

00:54:01.160 And that's what people thought for years.

00:54:03.300 And it was like people would like pray for him when he drove by or whatever. 0.99

00:54:06.520 And, or give him milk money, all kind of shit. 0.98

00:54:09.900 Leave pies in his yard and stuff. 1.00

00:54:11.900 And then years later we found out he's just a mentally handicapped guy.

00:54:14.340 And somebody had gotten him a, um, a used bike that had a baby seat on it off the side.

00:54:18.160 He just didn't know how to take it off.

00:54:19.680 Yeah. 0.98

00:54:21.780 And we were like, brother, we fucking gave that dude a lot of dessert. 0.98

00:54:27.220 We gave him a lot of dessert. 0.99

00:54:28.720 The prayers were used though.

00:54:30.360 You know, the prayers were good, man.

00:54:32.320 But it was so sad.

00:54:33.140 He would always be like in the distance, like looking at us.

00:54:35.360 Like when we got off the school bus, I think he just wanted, yeah, I think he just wanted buddies, you know?

00:54:43.960 Oh man, dude.

00:54:46.020 That's good.

00:54:46.620 But it's so crazy.

00:54:47.260 Just because of that story, we didn't know.

00:54:48.880 We thought he was this sad dad. 0.98

00:54:49.920 So you come up with all these different, you know, scenarios and stories and shit. 0.97

00:54:53.480 And then it's kind of like, it just becomes like a big fable. 0.91

00:54:57.040 Like it's like, oh man.

00:54:58.840 But you have a town that's just big enough to support that kind of, where there's like just enough room for rumors to happen.

00:55:04.820 Oh, 100%. 0.98

00:55:05.400 You can't get away with like the gossip all over, the drama, all that shit like that. 0.97

00:55:09.580 And I remember when I was a kid, you would hear like an older kid's name. 0.96

00:55:12.260 Like he was like two years older, three or four years older.

00:55:15.120 And you were like, oh, that's the toughest guy in the whole world.

00:55:18.320 Yeah, don't mess with him, dude.

00:55:19.700 Yeah.

00:55:20.380 He's so cool.

00:55:21.600 That was crazy, dude.

00:55:23.220 That was fun being young.

00:55:24.520 It was, man. 1.00

00:55:25.560 That shit was the best. 1.00

00:55:27.040 Yeah, you said your parents were kind of strict growing up. 1.00

00:55:29.020 I know.

00:55:29.740 And were they two-year siblings as well, or just you?

00:55:31.840 No, just me, honestly, man.

00:55:33.720 Like, bro.

00:55:34.780 I think you were just a bad kid. 1.00

00:55:36.300 Dude, I was kind of a little shithead growing up, man. 0.99

00:55:39.320 I mean, but like, I mean, I was always well-mannered, you know, I mean. 0.77

00:55:48.660 Are you one of the most likable guys?

00:55:50.360 You were one of the, you were by far one of the guys anywhere.

00:55:54.380 I have never heard anyone say anything uncomplimentary about Coe Wetzel. 1.00

00:56:02.160 Except your parents, I guess.

00:56:03.820 Yeah. 0.99

00:56:04.500 Except for Gary Dale just whooping the shit out of me. 0.99

00:56:06.740 But no, like, I mean, I guess as like a little kid, I was kind of a turd. 0.97

00:56:11.160 Because, I mean, I was the only kid until I was eight years old.

00:56:14.420 So, you know, I didn't know no better, you know.

00:56:16.200 And then Presley came up and my younger sister Zoe.

00:56:20.980 Why'd they wait eight years, do you think?

00:56:22.420 Any word on that?

00:56:23.080 I don't know, man.

00:56:24.060 I have no idea.

00:56:25.640 That's rare, kind of. 0.99

00:56:26.720 Well, yeah, whenever it happened, I was like, fuck, bro. 0.99

00:56:29.240 Like, this, yeah, because, yeah. 1.00

00:56:31.620 They had enough.

00:56:32.660 Yeah, for sure.

00:56:33.380 But, yeah, I don't know.

00:56:35.120 They were super strict on me.

00:56:36.340 And then my middle sister, I mean, not really.

00:56:40.100 And then Zoe Kay, they just let her run ragged, bro.

00:56:43.100 Is she all right?

00:56:43.840 Oh, she's a sweetheart. 1.00

00:56:44.860 She's an angel, man.

00:56:46.060 She's married or not? 0.98

00:56:47.400 Not married.

00:56:48.520 Super smart.

00:56:51.120 Yeah, she's almost done with college.

00:56:53.360 Oh, God.

00:56:54.100 I got to get a wife.

00:56:54.440 I think you're going to be one of the first Wetzels to graduate college. 1.00

00:56:57.300 Oh, man.

00:56:57.900 So, shout out, ZK.

00:57:01.340 Let's get a picture of her up. 0.99

00:57:02.580 Zoe? 0.84

00:57:02.900 Yeah, Zoe Kay, yeah.

00:57:04.280 Zoe Kay Wetzel.

00:57:05.280 Zoe Kay Wetzel, yeah.

00:57:08.340 Yeah, dude.

00:57:09.260 Yeah, she's graduating.

00:57:10.420 Yeah, man.

00:57:11.300 I think she's got, like, a couple semesters left.

00:57:14.700 Oh, hell yeah.

00:57:19.800 Zoe Kay right there.

00:57:20.820 Where's she graduating from? 0.95

00:57:22.360 So, she went to Texas Tech.

00:57:25.380 She got her associates in Texas Tech, at Texas Tech, and then.

00:57:31.400 Oh, yeah, Red Raider country.

00:57:32.540 That's Cliff Kingsbury country over there.

00:57:35.040 And then.

00:57:35.360 And Mahomes country, isn't it?

00:57:36.380 Mahomes, you bet.

00:57:38.240 Yeah, and so, now she's just finishing on nursing school. 1.00

00:57:43.040 Oh, she's going to be a nurse? 0.96

00:57:43.780 No way.

00:57:44.560 She wants to be a nurse practitioner. 0.99

00:57:46.580 And so, I was like, you know what? 1.00

00:57:48.000 It's like, fuck it, you know. 1.00

00:57:48.820 Do the whole thing, you know. 1.00

00:57:49.840 Might as well. 1.00

00:57:51.260 Yeah, be a fucking, yeah. 1.00

00:57:52.960 Be the Carmelo Anthony in nurses, you know what I'm saying? 1.00

00:57:55.060 And be like a.

00:57:56.120 Go to the doctor. 1.00

00:57:57.520 Who gives a shit? 1.00

00:57:58.140 Yeah, be the best one. 0.99

00:57:59.300 Yeah, try to get some scripts, you know what I mean?

00:58:01.580 Yeah.

00:58:02.420 That's what I'm talking about.

00:58:03.920 Hell yeah.

00:58:04.300 Too much of this. 1.00

00:58:05.260 Yeah, I'm sick of buying this shit that's been stepped on. 1.00

00:58:07.620 Some of these shady ass motherfuckers. 1.00

00:58:10.280 Oh, for sure, dude. 1.00

00:58:11.680 I want that governmental stuff, baby. 0.99

00:58:14.080 I'm tired of buying shit behind McDonald's. 0.99

00:58:15.660 Come on. 1.00

00:58:17.280 Yeah, my sister's a nurse. 0.96

00:58:18.520 I just asked her.

00:58:19.100 She's like, what do you want for Christmas?

00:58:20.060 I said, I want some Toradol shots.

00:58:21.540 Okay, so if my back gets bad on the road, I can just use them.

00:58:26.560 Even if I'm not hurting, whatever I'm getting out of here, I'm like, give me some of that

00:58:29.220 Toradol.

00:58:29.540 Put it in.

00:58:30.520 Oh, yeah.

00:58:31.120 Give me all the goods.

00:58:32.520 That's how I'll do it.

00:58:33.600 Yeah, I got to get a wife, man, next year.

00:58:35.240 That's one of my goals.

00:58:35.880 Yeah.

00:58:36.500 2020 wife, that's what I'm calling it. 1.00

00:58:38.080 What's better than a well-marbled ribeye sizzling on the barbecue?

01:00:33.680 Were your parents kind of like, were they like, okay, Coe, what are you doing here, buddy?

01:00:38.720 You need to get you a, you need to fill out an application somewhere, Bubba.

01:00:42.660 Yeah, they, so, I mean.

01:00:43.800 Or were they, how did they, how have they supported your music over the years?

01:00:47.140 What's that been like?

01:00:47.920 Yeah, I mean, they've always been super supportive.

01:00:50.200 But obviously, you know, them being parents, they were like, I remember whenever I was in,

01:00:55.740 I got kicked out of school at Tarleton State.

01:00:57.780 Oh, yeah.

01:00:58.200 And so, you know, and, and they like to, they like to come in and check on me like once a

01:01:04.360 year or whatever.

01:01:05.280 And who do your parents?

01:01:06.580 Yeah, my parents.

01:01:07.360 And so I'm living basically in a garage on a couch in a garage at one of my buddy's house.

01:01:13.680 And they like, they like come in and it's like, and I'm, I'm, I was sick for some reason.

01:01:20.320 I had like the flu or something, but I don't have no money to go get no meds.

01:01:23.140 So they come up, take care of me.

01:01:24.460 And they're like, oh, we're coming up and they walk in this garage and there's like 0.99

01:01:28.160 the cats running around and shit. 0.97

01:01:30.160 I'm just kind of like laid up on the couch. 0.99

01:01:31.400 We're like, uh, we ain't doing this shit. 0.99

01:01:33.180 Like, what is wrong with you, bro? 0.99

01:01:35.100 I was like, well, I'm sick right now.

01:01:38.780 They're like, well, this is not going to happen anymore. 0.99

01:01:40.580 But I was too, I was too proud to be like, to ask them for money and shit, you know, 0.93

01:01:44.580 because I just, I didn't want to go that route. 0.86

01:01:47.860 And you were out of school at that point?

01:01:49.240 I was out of school.

01:01:50.160 Did they know you were out of school or no?

01:01:51.340 Yeah, they knew.

01:01:51.800 And this was kind of like, had you graduated or no, you were just taking a break?

01:01:54.860 No, no, they kicked me out. 0.99

01:01:56.000 They said, get the fuck out of here. 0.99

01:01:57.460 Force break. 0.99

01:01:58.060 Yeah.

01:01:58.920 And so, uh, this is like two or probably three years, probably 2014 ish.

01:02:04.380 Uh, and we're, you know, we're traveling, we're making, we're not making great money,

01:02:07.920 but we're making enough for me to pay rent on a couch in the garage.

01:02:12.360 And so they were like, you know, my dad, he's working construction.

01:02:16.040 He's like, you know, come back.

01:02:17.740 You make pretty good money.

01:02:19.180 A couple of years, you know, you can be a superintendent.

01:02:21.020 You know, run a crew like me.

01:02:22.720 I'm like, ah, you know, that sounds great. 0.96

01:02:24.740 But, you know, and I've got buddies that are out in the oil field, you know, making damn

01:02:28.160 good money. 0.94

01:02:29.060 And it's just, it was kind of a shitty, shitty time in my life.

01:02:32.300 But I think that kind of, that stuff right there is kind of what helped build me to what

01:02:37.300 I am today.

01:02:37.820 You know, it made me, you know, hard shelled, you know, um, and it kind of makes me appreciate

01:02:44.120 everything that I've got going on now a little bit more, you know, having to go through

01:02:47.420 those times.

01:02:47.900 But, uh, yeah, my parents, they were like, this is, this is not cool.

01:02:52.760 So you need to figure it out.

01:02:53.660 Like, if you're going to do it, you know, do it.

01:02:55.300 So, uh, man, they've been super supportive the entire time.

01:02:58.840 So it's been great.

01:03:00.140 Do you have any songs that are like about your mother or dad or anything like that?

01:03:03.480 Uh, no, surprisingly, I don't.

01:03:06.440 I've got a shit ton of songs, so I'll probably write one now.

01:03:10.500 They're going to be watching. 0.99

01:03:11.340 They'll be like, no, we don't have a fucking song about us. 0.99

01:03:13.960 You know what? 0.99

01:03:15.700 Yeah, you just never know.

01:03:16.680 Cause sometimes it's interesting where people find, how they find, it's kind of hard to

01:03:19.920 write a song, like, you know, like you see a lot of songs that are kind of love ballads,

01:03:23.320 you know?

01:03:23.580 Yeah, for sure.

01:03:24.080 But it's hard to write one that, um, uh, Morgan has that one.

01:03:28.800 What's it like?

01:03:29.680 Oh, that's a banger.

01:03:31.440 Oh yeah, I thought you should know.

01:03:32.540 Yeah, that's a banger.

01:03:33.820 Um, and I think there's a lot of people out there that want to have that, have a song

01:03:37.460 like that.

01:03:37.760 I think it also touched on a nerve.

01:03:39.120 It's like, there's not really that son to mother song out there.

01:03:42.600 I mean, there's some of those more probably.

01:03:45.700 That's a hard song to write though.

01:03:47.180 You know, like, I feel like those songs are hard to write.

01:03:49.340 Like, and, uh, I don't know.

01:03:50.880 Oh, for sure.

01:03:51.800 Um, yeah, that Morgan song is a banger.

01:03:54.520 I mean, I've, I've mentioned my parents in songs before, but I just haven't wrote a song

01:03:58.240 about them.

01:03:59.400 Yeah, maybe it'll happen.

01:04:00.420 Look, it's, things happen as they happen.

01:04:01.880 But it's just, yeah, I never really thought that it's kind of tough to create.

01:04:05.060 That's a tough one to kind of make.

01:04:06.540 Yeah.

01:04:06.800 I think that's why that one hit me so hard.

01:04:08.580 I think a Morgan's just was because it did, uh, yeah, you just don't hear it that much.

01:04:11.940 Oh, it brings home for, I mean, pretty much everybody, you know.

01:04:14.520 Um, you guys toured together some.

01:04:16.620 Yeah, we did, uh, AT&T with them, uh, this year, bro.

01:04:20.020 That was awesome.

01:04:20.680 How cool was that?

01:04:21.440 Dude, that's what I told them.

01:04:22.360 I was like, man, I appreciate you having me out.

01:04:24.980 To any of the shows would have been great, but to play Cowboys Stadium, you know, Cowboys

01:04:28.580 my team, you know, rep Dallas.

01:04:30.760 Uh, and so just dude, bro, I got out there and like, that's kind of what I was like.

01:04:36.880 I couldn't even like comprehend what was going on the whole time.

01:04:39.620 I'm just like staring around and looking, trying to take it all in, bro.

01:04:42.880 And it was like, what is going on, man?

01:04:45.200 It was, it was insane.

01:04:46.640 It was something I'll never forget.

01:04:47.820 You know, I can't thank Morgan enough for having us.

01:04:50.400 Yeah, it's so, just to be able to do that, dude, that's so crazy to have that moment

01:04:55.940 to go walk out there like that.

01:04:57.360 Oh, man.

01:04:58.540 It was just like, you just like kept, like, I never even been on the field before, right?

01:05:02.300 Like, you just kept looking at like people all the way up.

01:05:04.880 You're like, oh, what?

01:05:06.080 I was like, you know, I've been kicked out of the stadium a few times.

01:05:08.700 So this was, we had to get a couple signatures to get me in over there.

01:05:12.660 Dude, I'm in the back. 0.99

01:05:13.520 They're like, what the fuck? 0.99

01:05:14.220 Who let him back in here? 1.00

01:05:18.520 Yeah, bro.

01:05:19.140 That's so great.

01:05:20.400 Has Deer's toured?

01:05:21.520 Now, I'm guessing it's probably expanded.

01:05:23.120 I know that you had an audience that was outside of Texas for sure.

01:05:25.460 I know you have a, have had a strong grassroots audience for a long time and, and even bigger

01:05:29.380 than grassroots.

01:05:29.900 I don't mean to use those terms to sound like it isn't, you know what I'm saying?

01:05:34.620 Yeah.

01:05:34.900 I'm not trying to like, okay.

01:05:37.040 But now have you found that you've, you're touring places that are outside of places you

01:05:40.680 didn't think you would go before.

01:05:41.900 Cause that's when things are like, wow, this is kind of crazy.

01:05:44.480 Yeah, for sure.

01:05:45.220 And I mean, we've been doing it for, for a while, you know, outside of Texas.

01:05:49.020 Cause I think we got outside of Texas probably 17, 18.

01:05:52.940 But I mean, even now, whenever we go to, to new places that are sold out, it's kind of

01:05:57.200 like, man, this is crazy. 0.98

01:05:58.140 You know, you kind of step back and you're like, shit, this is, uh, it's pretty wild. 0.99

01:06:02.400 But, uh, yeah, it's, I mean, we just got done with Europe. 0.99

01:06:05.700 We're over there.

01:06:06.520 We did UK.

01:06:07.480 No way.

01:06:08.100 Yeah.

01:06:08.320 That was, all the shows were sold out.

01:06:10.380 You'll go to Manchester, London, Manchester, London, uh, Glasgow, uh, all of Leeds.

01:06:18.060 I think Leeds.

01:06:18.980 Oh yeah.

01:06:19.620 Then we did, uh, Amsterdam.

01:06:22.380 Then we did Germany.

01:06:23.720 Bro.

01:06:24.780 It was wild.

01:06:25.260 So, wow.

01:06:26.480 Have you ever been to Europe before?

01:06:28.000 We did.

01:06:28.680 We did acoustic, an acoustic run over there back in like 2018.

01:06:32.320 So, but we haven't been back since.

01:06:34.320 And so a lot of the fans were like, we're, we're fans of the older music, you know, like

01:06:38.860 they, they dug on the new stuff, but like they were singing everywhere. 1.00

01:06:41.680 It's all the old shit. 1.00

01:06:42.460 So I was like, fuck yeah. 1.00

01:06:43.360 So, but it was a great time, man. 1.00

01:06:47.460 That's so sick.

01:06:48.900 We got to get back in like the smaller rooms too.

01:06:51.500 So you're going to Australia soon too, huh?

01:06:53.220 Yeah.

01:06:53.360 We'll be there in March, I think, really in March.

01:06:56.060 So it's, I've never been to Australia.

01:06:58.300 I'm ready.

01:06:59.340 It's so great, dude.

01:07:00.560 We rented bikes one day on the beach, right?

01:07:03.300 You can just rent like these beach cruiser bikes, you know, or just like these motorized

01:07:06.520 bikes, you know?

01:07:07.900 And we rented some and they, um, you can take them out on the beach and literally it, there's

01:07:14.140 the most beautiful beach and nobody's out there and you're just, just ripping these 0.99

01:07:18.400 bitches, dude. 1.00

01:07:19.140 And I just heard it's kind of like Texas, honestly, like, like Australia and Texas have 0.99

01:07:23.260 like this thing together.

01:07:25.120 It's the biggest following episode.

01:07:26.840 Really?

01:07:27.380 Nice.

01:07:27.960 Hell yeah.

01:07:28.600 That's awesome.

01:07:29.360 Shout out Australia.

01:07:30.720 Bro, there's nothing like Australia. 1.00

01:07:33.580 The fuck there and the people and the women are, and everybody's good over there. 1.00

01:07:39.100 They're great. 1.00

01:07:39.640 I cannot wait, man.

01:07:40.380 They're great.

01:07:41.160 And everybody's good over there.

01:07:43.040 And when I was over there, we went and saw one night, we saw, um, Matchbox 20 and Goo

01:07:47.380 Goo Dolls at a show.

01:07:48.300 We popped over there and checked that out for a little bit.

01:07:50.780 We went to a, uh, Fred again, show over there, DJ, he's a DJ.

01:07:56.240 That was pretty hype.

01:07:58.120 Were you, were you doing shows over there?

01:07:59.940 Yeah.

01:08:00.200 Nice.

01:08:00.600 Where, where all did you go?

01:08:01.620 We went to everywhere except for Perth.

01:08:03.120 We have to go back and go to Perth.

01:08:04.620 I might go to Sydney and Perth or if, if, if we're able to.

01:08:07.220 Dude, you have to be on my friend, Sean and Marley.

01:08:13.400 You have to, are you going to be in Sydney?

01:08:15.880 Uh, Queensland, Queensland.

01:08:19.260 What is Queensland?

01:08:20.060 Is that the beach?

01:08:20.860 We're trying, we're, we're, we're hoping to get a couple more shows over there.

01:08:23.600 So if we are, we need to get on that.

01:08:25.080 Yeah.

01:08:25.600 You need to go on my buddy, Sean and Marley show, dude.

01:08:27.980 Let me know.

01:08:29.180 Bring it up.

01:08:29.700 Bring it up.

01:08:30.060 Bring it up.

01:08:30.380 Sean and Marley.

01:08:31.220 Where's Queensland?

01:08:32.140 Is it like a podcast or what is it?

01:08:33.980 Uh, no, they do, um, Sean.

01:08:37.220 Sean and Marley.

01:08:37.760 There they are right there.

01:08:39.180 Sean and Marley. 1.00

01:08:40.000 Oh shit. 1.00

01:08:41.100 Yes. 1.00

01:08:41.640 Fuck. 1.00

01:08:41.920 Yeah. 1.00

01:08:42.200 Dude.

01:08:43.060 You gotta go and make a Texas dish with them.

01:08:46.040 They're great.

01:08:46.720 Yes.

01:08:47.260 Hell yeah.

01:08:47.940 Do some chicken fried steak with them, bro.

01:08:50.460 Hell yeah.

01:08:51.980 Yeah, dude.

01:08:52.520 They are legends.

01:08:53.500 Get down with Sean and Marley.

01:08:54.520 I didn't know they were, I didn't know they were in Australia.

01:08:56.560 They were on hot wings.

01:08:57.720 No way.

01:08:58.120 Bring it up.

01:08:58.580 Hi there, man, buddy.

01:09:01.100 Welcome to the hot wings program.

01:09:06.540 What?

01:09:07.840 Cheese.

01:09:08.780 Cheers.

01:09:13.760 You and Marley look a little bit like, I look like Sean.

01:09:17.840 We should do our own show like this.

01:09:20.500 I look like Sean.

01:09:22.200 Theo and Co.

01:09:23.120 Oh, that guy's getting, I call the fire department.

01:09:29.100 Dude.

01:09:29.580 Wow.

01:09:30.220 Have you been, have you been on hot ones?

01:09:31.980 Yeah.

01:09:32.400 I was on there years ago.

01:09:33.360 How was that?

01:09:33.980 It's fun.

01:09:34.620 But I didn't think it was that hot to be honest with you. 1.00

01:09:37.240 I mean, we're used to that shit though. 1.00

01:09:39.360 Yeah, dude. 1.00

01:09:39.800 One of them, I'll say this.

01:09:41.060 There you go.

01:09:41.260 One of them, it's more like, uh, it's not really a sauce.

01:09:44.320 It's more like something you clean the bathroom with.

01:09:46.120 You know what I'm saying? 0.99

01:09:46.560 I'm like, hey, y'all are fucking cheating right here. 1.00

01:09:49.780 This is fucking, yeah. 0.99

01:09:50.600 Well, I saw like, they saw it for like Tepetillo and, and shit like that. 0.99

01:09:55.280 I was like, what? 0.98

01:09:56.020 We put that on eggs in the morning, you know?

01:09:58.120 Yeah.

01:09:58.360 Some of it was easy.

01:09:59.460 And in some of it, you're like, oh, they're using this to take rust off of the, uh, tire

01:10:03.540 well.

01:10:04.220 You know what I'm saying? 1.00

01:10:04.880 Like this shit is fucking next level, dude. 1.00

01:10:08.580 What's like the hot, like what is, what's an area of Texas that you think has the best 1.00

01:10:12.120 food?

01:10:12.320 You've been all over there.

01:10:13.740 Um, either Austin, San Antonio's got some really good food, man.

01:10:19.680 Like, San Antonio, Mexican food, San Antonio for sure.

01:10:23.080 Austin just has everything, bro.

01:10:24.660 Like barbecue, Mexican food, obviously.

01:10:28.260 Um, Fort Worth, man.

01:10:30.800 Fort Worth is lights out.

01:10:32.240 El Paso's got really good food.

01:10:34.060 Yeah.

01:10:34.420 What's up with El Paso?

01:10:35.320 It always gets a weird rap.

01:10:36.440 I feel like it's kind of this mystery.

01:10:38.000 Man, it's, uh, I think they want to keep it a mystery, man. 0.99

01:10:41.300 Cause there's so much shit going on. 0.99

01:10:42.860 Cause it's right there next to Juarez. 1.00

01:10:44.560 Yeah.

01:10:45.120 Juarez is a no, no.

01:10:46.260 Like, I don't know.

01:10:46.600 You play Juarez?

01:10:47.500 Uh, we haven't, but I mean, it's like, they, they tell you not to, to go over there or whatever.

01:10:52.100 But I had a buddy, he went over there like a month ago or a month, two months ago.

01:10:56.220 And he was like, yeah, we just walked across and went and ate and had a couple of beers

01:11:00.240 that came back over.

01:11:01.080 I was like, dude, what?

01:11:02.100 Like, but, uh, yeah, man, El Paso, we, we record out there in Tornillo, just south of El Paso.

01:11:08.600 Tornillo it's called?

01:11:09.380 Tornillo, yeah.

01:11:10.200 And, uh, it's a great time with food out there.

01:11:13.600 Phenomenal.

01:11:14.260 It's really good.

01:11:15.180 Best, best Mexican food you'll probably ever eat.

01:11:17.160 Outside of El Paso?

01:11:18.320 Outside of El Paso, in El Paso.

01:11:20.260 In El Paso.

01:11:20.880 Yeah.

01:11:21.300 If you're, uh, if you're there, hit me up.

01:11:22.880 I'll see you some, some rice.

01:11:24.240 Yeah.

01:11:24.380 Uh, what, um, what do you think about now with, with music kind of moving forward?

01:11:29.040 What do you kind of look at?

01:11:30.160 Like, I mean, you guys are touring off of Nine Lives now.

01:11:33.720 And then like, do you start to think about, what do you kind of think about?

01:11:38.020 I know you have a Christmas album that's coming out.

01:11:40.160 Yeah.

01:11:40.640 Um, we have it coming out here in a couple days, I guess.

01:11:44.520 A couple days, I think December 6th.

01:11:45.660 Yeah, Friday.

01:11:46.240 Um, and then, uh, January, man, just came back in the studio.

01:11:50.160 I'm starting to write.

01:11:51.200 We'll start writing tomorrow for that, actually.

01:11:52.780 Stay here.

01:11:54.280 And then, uh, January, man, just came back in the studio, trying to do the same thing,

01:11:58.760 I guess.

01:11:59.880 Um, yeah, just that, uh, we've got a lot of festivals this year coming up.

01:12:05.620 Um, and then, I don't know, a couple surprises.

01:12:08.780 Yeah?

01:12:09.400 Yeah.

01:12:10.340 We're excited about it, man.

01:12:11.620 It's, it's, uh, this year was, was wild, man.

01:12:14.200 For us, it was, it was insane. 0.72

01:12:15.860 It was, and this year went by so fucking quick. 0.90

01:12:18.080 I know. 0.99

01:12:18.640 Like, dog.

01:12:19.980 How is that?

01:12:20.620 What is that about?

01:12:21.600 I don't know.

01:12:22.420 Maybe that's another part of getting older, but I just feel like it was New Year's Eve,

01:12:27.020 and now we're back at Christmas again, you know?

01:12:29.060 It was so fast, dude.

01:12:30.480 I think people are living fast, too, because of COVID or whatever.

01:12:34.640 I think people are, like, trying to live as much as they can.

01:12:36.780 Yeah.

01:12:37.700 Yeah, maybe that's it.

01:12:38.740 I don't know.

01:12:39.440 But it was, I just looked up, and I was like, because the tour went by.

01:12:43.080 The tour went by.

01:12:43.820 I mean, we were on the road for three months, and it went by super quick, you know?

01:12:47.420 And I was looking forward to Europe, and then Europe went by quick. 0.99

01:12:50.300 And I was like, holy shit. 0.98

01:12:51.360 But, so, I don't know, man. 0.96

01:12:53.700 Just getting back out there, putting out some more music, trying to, you know, keep the fans happy.

01:12:59.940 It all happens so fast, huh?

01:13:01.320 It does, man.

01:13:01.780 It's kind of weird how even, like, you could be dreaming or hoping about something, and it's, like, the most important thing in the world.

01:13:06.420 And then it comes.

01:13:06.960 And it comes, and it's gone.

01:13:08.040 It comes, and it's like, oh, man.

01:13:09.560 Now what do I got to look forward to, you know?

01:13:11.420 It's weird.

01:13:12.960 It's just kind of, yeah, like, I'm always pinning, like, my, not necessarily my happiness, but, like, I'll be pinning, like, a lot of my excitement on one day or one moment.

01:13:23.060 I do that a lot.

01:13:23.760 And there's such a buildup of it, but then once it's gone, it's just, like, it never even happened. 0.97

01:13:27.920 It's like, damn, that was it. 0.98

01:13:29.080 Yeah. 0.99

01:13:29.440 Yeah. 0.99

01:13:29.780 I feel the same shit, man. 1.00

01:13:32.160 I'll get so fixated on some shit, you know? 1.00

01:13:35.280 And then once it's there, try to, you know, relish it for as long as you can, and, but it goes by so quick. 0.99

01:13:42.800 They got to get you on game day down there, man.

01:13:44.840 I know it, man.

01:13:45.700 That'd be a fun one.

01:13:47.040 And did you do that with, is that with Pat?

01:13:48.760 Yeah, I got to do it, like, a year ago.

01:13:50.420 It was crazy.

01:13:51.180 Dude, they called literally the night before, like, 10 o'clock, like, you want to come on tomorrow?

01:13:54.480 And I was like, all right, dude.

01:13:56.360 I wouldn't put me on.

01:13:57.800 Dude, we were talking about that at lunch.

01:13:59.400 Like, Pat is just, like, completely.

01:14:01.560 Oh, that guy's unreal. 0.99

01:14:02.920 Dude, he's insane. 0.88

01:14:03.900 He's the most, that guy's unreal, dude. 0.98

01:14:05.860 There's nobody like Pat McAfee, man.

01:14:08.420 He's like the male Caitlin Clark of his job.

01:14:13.160 Yeah, man, he is.

01:14:15.040 Yeah, they should have you down there next year on that, either that Red River rivalry or the Texas versus A&M.

01:14:23.020 A&M, did you watch that the other night?

01:14:24.720 It was great.

01:14:25.300 Yeah, man.

01:14:26.180 I think that was the, I think it was the first time in, what, like, 11 or 12 years that they played.

01:14:31.280 And everybody was.

01:14:32.740 People were stoked.

01:14:33.480 But Texas was on cloud 10, man.

01:14:36.720 We were fired up.

01:14:37.920 People were stoked, man.

01:14:39.420 What a great place to be from.

01:14:41.100 Yeah, for sure.

01:14:42.360 Because Texas, I feel like if, say, if there's, like, people start to divide off into their own states, that's going to be the state a lot of people are going to want to go live in.

01:14:48.800 For sure.

01:14:49.500 Well, hell, like, everybody's starting to move down.

01:14:51.760 You know, you got all these people from California.

01:14:53.640 And, I mean, it's kind of like Nashville.

01:14:55.680 You know, everybody's moving to Nashville as well.

01:14:57.380 But are you coming?

01:14:59.000 Are you coming to Texas?

01:15:00.340 I'm coming to look at a place there in Austin.

01:15:02.080 Nice, man. 1.00

01:15:02.400 Fuck you. 1.00

01:15:04.000 I need to get just, I want to be closer to, like, a, yeah, I just, I would like to have, to be able to be in both places. 1.00

01:15:11.500 Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

01:15:12.240 Because I find myself, I've had an apartment in Los Angeles for a while for this whole year.

01:15:16.040 I've probably been there.

01:15:17.420 Are you still got a place back in L.A.?

01:15:18.780 But three weeks, I've been there.

01:15:20.440 Whole year.

01:15:21.220 It's, yeah, I think being able to bounce back and forth from here and there would be dope.

01:15:26.540 Yeah.

01:15:27.180 And you've been awesome, right, man?

01:15:28.860 It's got everything, man.

01:15:30.300 Like, it's, it's, it's badass.

01:15:32.720 It's fun.

01:15:33.300 You can still get mugged a little while I like that.

01:15:35.760 Still, yeah, you still got to hold on to your wallet.

01:15:37.900 Oh, yeah.

01:15:38.240 If there ain't no crime, the food ain't that good.

01:15:40.120 You got to have good, you got to have crime to have food.

01:15:42.660 It's too wide for me.

01:15:43.760 Yeah, dude.

01:15:46.000 If you don't have some good crime.

01:15:48.780 Yeah, we're going to do, what did you, Cam had asked me about doing the inch, the 12

01:15:52.460 days of Christmas for that thing.

01:15:54.840 What were we supposed to do?

01:15:55.800 Oh, yeah, no, man.

01:15:56.380 Just read it?

01:15:56.900 No, yeah, I was, I was going to have you read it, but I was, I should have thought about

01:16:00.100 it like two or three months later.

01:16:00.840 We could do it now.

01:16:01.600 Would it even be able to record or no?

01:16:02.620 No, no, we're good.

01:16:03.840 Because I don't know if I had to go to a studio or something.

01:16:05.420 I was just kind of overwhelmed.

01:16:06.460 No, I hit him up and I was like, man, this is kind of last notice.

01:16:11.100 If you do one next year, I'll be happy to do it.

01:16:12.720 Yeah, for sure.

01:16:13.380 We'll, we'll get together also, man. 0.82

01:16:15.140 Because I wanted to find a way to make it funny, but I was just like, I'm fucking burnt 0.74

01:16:18.040 out. 0.94

01:16:18.280 That's what I told him.

01:16:19.420 I was like, man, he was like, well, what's kind of like the overall deal?

01:16:22.060 I was like, just tell him to be himself, you know, I just wanted you to read.

01:16:25.060 We got a, you know, Ben Burgess, Ben Burgess.

01:16:27.320 Oh, yeah.

01:16:27.840 The songwriter?

01:16:28.440 We got Ben to do it.

01:16:29.020 Yeah.

01:16:29.860 And Ben, you know, Ben.

01:16:31.160 Bring him up.

01:16:31.600 Bring him a picture of him.

01:16:32.860 Ben is, he's his own person, bro. 0.99

01:16:34.920 And he went in there and did his, did his like Texas draw and shit on it. 0.86

01:16:39.140 Oh, dude, he's a very famous songwriter, isn't he? 0.99

01:16:41.780 He's a bad cat, man.

01:16:42.760 And he's like the greatest one, isn't he?

01:16:44.960 Yeah.

01:16:45.340 I love old Burgess.

01:16:46.320 Wow.

01:16:47.000 I met him years ago with Charles Kelly, I think at some event that they had, Josh Kelly

01:16:54.780 years ago.

01:16:56.300 Yeah.

01:16:56.500 He's a bad dude, man.

01:16:57.660 Yeah.

01:16:58.080 He's the guy.

01:16:59.560 Well, he, he got in there and he read it like he was reading it to his grandchildren or some 0.99

01:17:03.840 shit. 0.99

01:17:04.460 Sounds good. 1.00

01:17:05.280 He did?

01:17:05.680 Yeah, it's cool.

01:17:06.280 Well, if you guys need somebody next year, man, I was going to say otherwise, we could just

01:17:10.200 record it right here.

01:17:11.040 I just didn't, I think, know what to do.

01:17:12.800 Yeah, no.

01:17:14.140 Oh, good.

01:17:14.940 Yeah.

01:17:15.140 What do you do?

01:17:15.640 Yeah.

01:17:15.740 With the Christmas album.

01:17:16.700 So what is it?

01:17:17.240 It's just like, I heard some of the ones from last year.

01:17:19.040 I saw like you guys had a cool animation that was online.

01:17:21.460 Yeah.

01:17:21.700 Like you in the back of a Santa sleigh and stuff.

01:17:23.760 It's just like, just some like reimagined songs.

01:17:26.100 Like we just, basically like covering them up and just making them ours.

01:17:30.220 So.

01:17:30.700 And like chestnuts roasting on like a.

01:17:32.620 Yeah.

01:17:33.160 On a bottle of Fireball or something.

01:17:34.780 Yeah. 1.00

01:17:35.120 Fucking barbecue pit or some shit. 1.00

01:17:36.800 Oh, yeah. 1.00

01:17:37.320 We, I don't know.

01:17:39.040 It kind of gives us something to do at the end of the year because we're not, usually

01:17:41.860 not in the studio.

01:17:42.700 So it just kind of gives us reason to, and it's, you know, it's something that people

01:17:47.540 can go back to every single Christmas.

01:17:49.700 So, I don't know.

01:17:51.600 Do you, when you start thinking about like, what are things you feel like are missing

01:17:57.000 from your own life?

01:17:57.880 Do you feel?

01:17:59.400 Oh, is that a weird question?

01:18:02.140 I don't know.

01:18:02.420 I've been getting a lot of those today.

01:18:03.800 Very intimate questions.

01:18:06.920 I don't know, man.

01:18:08.980 I mean, you just hit such a neat place in your career.

01:18:11.680 Yeah, for sure.

01:18:13.340 I don't think it's anything career-wise.

01:18:17.900 I don't know.

01:18:18.820 It's just always go, go, go.

01:18:20.580 And I don't know.

01:18:22.280 You know, I think not having the, maybe the alone time or whatever it is, you know, just

01:18:29.300 to kind of reset.

01:18:30.820 I was with Bobby and them earlier and we were talking about it and that was kind of one of

01:18:34.700 the things I did on.

01:18:35.600 It's just, I like, I like being, like I'm a loner, you know, and cause I'm always surrounded

01:18:40.320 around people and stuff, but I like to have the time to myself just to kind of relax and 0.66

01:18:44.760 reset and do all that shit. 0.82

01:18:46.660 So, I don't know. 0.99

01:18:48.760 I don't know what it's missing.

01:18:51.260 Life's good, man.

01:18:52.140 Life's good.

01:18:52.920 Yeah.

01:18:53.320 And that's a good point too.

01:18:54.360 Sometimes it doesn't have to be, you know, sometimes I'll, I'll like, I feel like I always

01:18:57.940 need to have an answer for that question.

01:18:59.260 I didn't even realize that till just now.

01:19:01.200 Yeah, for sure.

01:19:01.620 And then I'm kind of setting myself up for failure in a little bit of a way cause I'm always

01:19:05.180 thinking that there's something missing.

01:19:06.700 Yeah.

01:19:06.800 Yeah, that could be a, that could be a problem, but I mean, uh, but sometimes when, when life

01:19:12.300 is as good as you think it is, maybe it's not, you know, so I don't know.

01:19:16.840 Do you, I, I, it must be inspiring to see your career evolve, continue to evolve, right?

01:19:22.540 And grow your fan base, continue to grow because then you start thinking, well, what can I do?

01:19:27.440 You know, like, not that you don't think that before, but you're like, okay, how can I challenge

01:19:31.200 myself now?

01:19:31.820 How can I, what else could I maybe do?

01:19:34.420 I've got, I've got here, you know, where else could I go?

01:19:36.500 Or what else could I do?

01:19:37.760 Yeah.

01:19:38.540 That's kind of interesting, you know, cause you don't know what this looks like until

01:19:41.300 you're, till you're standing there, you know?

01:19:43.340 Well, I'll find myself like getting into things that, you know, just that I probably would

01:19:48.700 never have got into and be like, well, maybe that would be a cool, cool, like say acting

01:19:53.340 or something, you know, something like that.

01:19:54.760 I think that would be really cool to get into.

01:19:57.120 And bar ownership.

01:19:57.620 You've got a new bar right now.

01:19:58.360 Yeah.

01:19:58.620 Yeah.

01:19:58.860 We've been doing the, the bar deal and riot, uh, right room.

01:20:02.340 Yeah.

01:20:02.600 Yeah.

01:20:02.820 You need to come down to Fort Worth, man.

01:20:04.400 Yeah, dude.

01:20:05.160 Well, we're, whenever we're touring through there, I think if we don't go through Dallas,

01:20:08.520 we'll have to make it happen.

01:20:09.740 Yeah, for sure.

01:20:10.460 Well, uh.

01:20:10.740 And what kind of joint is it in there?

01:20:12.180 They got billions or what is it?

01:20:14.200 It's, uh, it's kind of like a honky tonk during the day with food.

01:20:17.980 And then by nine o'clock it turns into a club, man.

01:20:21.200 It's like a Texas club, I guess, like a cowboy club.

01:20:25.120 Oh yeah.

01:20:25.460 I don't know how to explain it.

01:20:27.000 We got bottle, bottle, there you go.

01:20:28.680 Yeah.

01:20:30.120 It's, uh, it's a ride.

01:20:32.020 It's a good time.

01:20:33.040 Gang, dude.

01:20:33.760 That's your place?

01:20:34.580 Yeah, bro.

01:20:35.740 You have to come out.

01:20:36.120 Bro, congratulations, man.

01:20:38.120 We, uh, we're, we just opened up a second location, or about to, in Houston.

01:20:43.260 Hopefully getting it up, uh, by February.

01:20:45.760 See, that's what I'm missing on about party.

01:20:47.300 You can open up something like that.

01:20:48.700 Like, I'd have to open up a place where people kind of cry about how they feel every now

01:20:51.400 and then.

01:20:52.340 You know, it's still be good.

01:20:54.120 That's what I say whenever I open it up. 0.98

01:20:55.320 I was like, I just want a place I can go fucking party and not have to worry about going to 0.98

01:20:58.920 jail. 1.00

01:20:59.660 Like, like nobody can kick me out of the motherfucker. 1.00

01:21:02.980 Yeah. 1.00

01:21:04.760 Except for you.

01:21:05.800 Yeah.

01:21:06.420 You end up texting yourself.

01:21:07.280 Maybe sometimes I need to kick myself out of there, bro.

01:21:10.560 You just see me dragging myself out, bro. 1.00

01:21:13.360 Fucking riot room. 0.99

01:21:14.680 That's so cool, dude. 1.00

01:21:16.080 Just to have your own bar.

01:21:17.260 Everybody dreams of that, you know?

01:21:19.380 People dream of that in their lives, you know?

01:21:21.480 Yeah, it's, it's, it's been a lot of fun, man.

01:21:23.100 You guys are opening up a new one?

01:21:24.840 Yeah, down in Houston.

01:21:26.080 Uh, it'll open, hoping for February.

01:21:29.240 Uh, but it's almost finished up.

01:21:32.260 It's been going good, man.

01:21:33.400 It's, uh, you know, I never thought, I never considered, like, thought that I'd have a bar or

01:21:37.660 whatever, but, um, got in with the right people and just kind of, I don't know, it's been,

01:21:42.620 it's been cool.

01:21:43.340 Yeah.

01:21:44.540 Especially in Texas, especially in your space, you know?

01:21:46.680 Yeah, for sure.

01:21:47.260 Yeah, we didn't, uh, we had talked about putting in one here in Nashville and I was

01:21:51.640 like, uh, I'm not stepping on nobody's toes, you know?

01:21:54.460 It's not, it's not my domain.

01:21:56.400 I'm, uh, I'm gonna stick to what I know down here in Texas.

01:21:59.420 Yeah.

01:21:59.840 Yeah.

01:22:00.500 Yeah, you gotta be careful.

01:22:01.560 I think about that sometimes, too, like about getting involved in certain stuff.

01:22:04.480 You don't want to act like it's your place just because you're there.

01:22:07.380 Yeah, for sure.

01:22:08.020 You know?

01:22:08.420 If you're not from there, I feel like.

01:22:09.780 Yeah, for sure.

01:22:10.440 That's how I feel sometimes.

01:22:11.700 I've seen, uh, Jelly Roll, is he putting in one?

01:22:14.320 Is he?

01:22:14.600 Oh, yeah, that's what I did here.

01:22:15.640 Jelly Roll putting in a bar?

01:22:16.620 Let's look, pull it up.

01:22:20.140 Jelly, Lainey got hers.

01:22:22.360 Uh, Morgan.

01:22:23.340 Oh, yeah, I haven't been to Morgan's yet.

01:22:25.780 Uh.

01:22:26.780 I haven't been to Morgan's either.

01:22:27.900 We were at, uh.

01:22:28.760 We were at, uh, GoodNotNational.

01:22:29.940 Five-story building.

01:22:31.420 God.

01:22:31.740 I feel like they're, they're not just like, they're just like seeing how many, how many

01:22:35.640 stories they can go up.

01:22:36.840 Yeah.

01:22:37.200 Shout out, Jelly. 0.99

01:22:38.080 Man, that's awesome.

01:22:39.000 Barge Marquis sign will be yellow and black, including a skull wearing a crown of Nashville

01:22:42.660 skyline.

01:22:44.540 Oh, that's kind of cool, man.

01:22:46.020 Oh, yeah.

01:22:46.440 That's like his, uh, emblem.

01:22:47.720 Yeah.

01:22:48.020 Shout out, Jelly. 0.99

01:22:48.840 That's awesome, man.

01:22:49.620 It is cool, dude.

01:22:50.880 What a guy.

01:22:52.640 Dude, you're a impression of Jelly.

01:22:54.580 Whatever he is, is you and, and. 1.00

01:22:56.660 I want to, if you have a, if you've ever been, if you've ever fallen asleep in a fucking 0.95

01:23:02.920 UPS van, if you were raised in the back of an Oscar Mayer Wayne vehicle, if you've ever

01:23:10.380 gotten head lice from, from bad head, if you've ever popped the pimple on the back of a long

01:23:17.320 haul trucker, if you've ever given head in the front seat of a Peterbilt, if you've ever

01:23:24.840 had your legs fall asleep on the shitter of a Love's gas station toilet, you could win

01:23:32.720 an Emmy. 1.00

01:23:34.160 Motherfucker's like, what is happening? 0.99

01:23:35.940 Dude, by the way, Jelly, Jelly gives the best hugs in the world, bro. 0.99

01:23:41.020 Every time he sees you, like, he just, like, picks you up and it's like, Jelly, man, this

01:23:44.720 is, oh, man. 0.83

01:23:46.060 Yeah, if you're having a shitty day, get a hug from Jelly Roll, bro. 1.00

01:23:48.900 It turns that motherfucker right around. 1.00

01:23:51.000 He, they should have a hug center. 0.99

01:23:52.820 They should have, that should be a machine.

01:23:55.240 That's what we need to tell them.

01:23:56.280 Hey, instead of all the other good that you're doing around the world, you need a hug station,

01:24:00.720 bro.

01:24:00.960 Yep, a hug station.

01:24:02.140 Give out free hugs, bro.

01:24:04.080 Oh, man.

01:24:05.120 Have you never been a hug?

01:24:07.540 It's $1 hugs, dude.

01:24:09.160 Jelly's $1 hugs, dude.

01:24:10.480 Oh, bro.

01:24:10.620 Or you can pay $2 and get a little bit more of a hug.

01:24:14.080 You know what I'm saying?

01:24:15.640 Dude.

01:24:15.880 And it's heated.

01:24:16.620 The second hug is heated, dude. 1.00

01:24:19.040 Damn, brother. 1.00

01:24:19.940 Oh, man. 1.00

01:24:20.620 Yeah, there's something about Jelly.

01:24:21.660 He just is, um, there's something about him.

01:24:25.460 He's just like a conduit, you know, for, I feel like for love, really.

01:24:30.520 The guy just.

01:24:31.720 It's like his whole aura, his whole presence, everything about him.

01:24:34.600 It's just, man.

01:24:36.460 It'll, it'll turn a bad day around for sure.

01:24:38.980 It really will.

01:24:39.560 He really is grateful, man.

01:24:40.900 Yeah.

01:24:41.280 He's grateful.

01:24:42.020 He's fun to watch.

01:24:42.820 His story's been cool, man.

01:24:44.300 He's got a really cool story.

01:24:45.800 Yeah.

01:24:46.520 Oh.

01:24:47.180 Yeah, it's great, dude.

01:24:48.880 Um, and yeah, you guys are going to be touring for how long?

01:24:51.440 Most of next year or what?

01:24:52.800 Uh, yeah, we're doing a bunch of like festivals and stuff.

01:24:55.380 And then, uh, hopefully getting a tour in towards the end of the year, maybe.

01:24:59.920 Um, planning on a new record.

01:25:02.140 So, if we get that out, get a new tour going.

01:25:05.960 All the goods.

01:25:06.940 And any new songwriters you want to work with or anything like that?

01:25:09.300 Or what's that look like?

01:25:09.940 I know you, one night I called you and Ernest were working together sometime.

01:25:12.360 Yeah, me and Ernest were out.

01:25:13.500 And I think we were out in El Paso whenever you could. 0.98

01:25:14.960 Y'all were fucking, he said he saw an alien or something. 0.99

01:25:16.920 He could have been, could have been high. 1.00

01:25:18.180 He could have been high.

01:25:18.680 Oh, yeah.

01:25:19.140 There's no telling what. 0.98

01:25:20.040 I don't fucking peyote and everything else out there, bro. 0.98

01:25:23.380 Uh, but, uh, yeah, man. 0.96

01:25:25.460 I mean, we, uh, I've started co-writing with a lot of people, man.

01:25:28.980 And this last record was the first time that I'd done it.

01:25:31.480 So, uh, yeah, man.

01:25:33.360 I think it's kind of, just kind of open to brand new ideas and stuff, man.

01:25:37.120 Just trying to, you know, do, do what's best for us.

01:25:40.880 Has it been hard for you to evolve?

01:25:42.300 Like, is that a tough thing to, to, to change, to do as an artist to like, um, think, okay,

01:25:46.620 I'm going to co-write or I'm not, or is that, do you like have certain like kind of rules

01:25:50.620 for yourself and then those change or do you not have any rules for yourself?

01:25:53.600 It was at first to start with the co-writers because I've wrote, you know, my first four

01:25:57.740 records were completely just me.

01:26:00.060 And then, uh, so to get into co-writing was kind of a hard ordeal.

01:26:04.380 And then now I've, I've accepted a lot more.

01:26:07.140 I feel like it's, uh, it's easier on me, especially with the headspace I'm, I'm in and so much that's

01:26:13.140 going on and, uh, it helps to have other people's ideas, you know, outside, uh, outside looking

01:26:18.700 in.

01:26:19.060 So, um, yeah, man, it's, it's been a lot of fun.

01:26:22.560 Like I said, with Gabe Simon and all those, all those bad-ass, all these bad-ass artists

01:26:27.260 around here, man.

01:26:27.920 Dude, I met him with Dermot Kennedy, I think.

01:26:30.680 Bring a picture of him up.

01:26:32.020 I think they were writing together.

01:26:33.700 Probably.

01:26:35.280 Gabe Simon.

01:26:36.200 He works with, uh, Noah, Noah Kahn and, uh, a couple other.

01:26:42.760 Oh, Gabe.

01:26:43.640 I don't think that's him.

01:26:44.720 All right.

01:26:44.780 No, it's Gabe.

01:26:46.140 No, no, that's him.

01:26:47.100 Sorry, sorry.

01:26:47.660 That is Gabe.

01:26:48.560 That is not the guy that I met, but I would like to meet him sometime.

01:26:53.640 Yeah.

01:26:53.980 Small world.

01:26:54.780 I look forward to meeting Gabe Simon.

01:26:55.620 Yeah, he's a great dude, man.

01:26:56.560 Um, no, this, okay.

01:26:58.340 Now I feel like I need it, but that's okay.

01:27:00.040 It was a different Gabe that I believe played with Dermot Kennedy over there.

01:27:03.660 We went to the, uh, uh, Bluebird over there and watched him play.

01:27:09.400 Yeah.

01:27:09.680 Well, I just think that's interesting because yeah, it's like, I always want to do things

01:27:12.560 on my own.

01:27:13.200 Right.

01:27:13.400 And I was like, Oh, I'll do it on my own.

01:27:14.900 But then things kind of change.

01:27:16.400 You're like, I can't do it on my own.

01:27:17.800 Yeah, for sure.

01:27:18.340 And so then I'm like, now I have to evolve a little bit.

01:27:20.440 Yeah, for sure.

01:27:21.240 I think, uh, and I've always been like, I hate to ask people for help on anything like

01:27:25.740 that's just how I'm wired.

01:27:27.020 But sometimes, you know, I mean, it, uh, well, you kind of got to push your pride aside

01:27:32.160 and say to hell with it. 0.87

01:27:34.660 Yeah. 0.98

01:27:35.800 Yeah.

01:27:36.140 And then that's the times when you really kind of things, you get better, you know?

01:27:38.980 Honestly.

01:27:39.400 Yeah.

01:27:39.660 Yeah.

01:27:39.960 Usually when I end up including other people and then I'm not doing anything alone.

01:27:42.820 I think that's the thing that's, that's a bummer.

01:27:45.440 Sometimes I think about like, it's not like, I think sometimes I would like to get married,

01:27:50.600 you know, or something.

01:27:51.220 I said that, but I think it's because otherwise you do stuff and you don't have anybody to tell

01:27:56.160 about it.

01:27:56.660 Yeah.

01:27:57.140 Yeah.

01:27:57.480 You're like, oh, I just, this was fun, but it was by myself.

01:28:00.340 Yeah. 1.00

01:28:00.660 And you're like, well, shit, dude. 1.00

01:28:02.680 And then your wife, one day your wife or whatever is going to be like, shut up. 1.00

01:28:06.080 Yeah. 1.00

01:28:06.700 I wasn't there. 1.00

01:28:07.500 Will you please stop telling me about this shit? 1.00

01:28:08.600 Yeah. 1.00

01:28:09.480 I wasn't there, dude.

01:28:11.460 Um, I think that's good, man.

01:28:14.160 I think we've had a nice chat.

01:28:15.420 Hell yeah.

01:28:15.820 That was awesome.

01:28:16.660 Cole, congratulations, dude.

01:28:18.060 Appreciate you.

01:28:19.220 Yeah.

01:28:19.540 We look forward to just hearing more music and just watching your journey, man.

01:28:22.780 Yeah. 0.98

01:28:22.900 It's fucking tough to grow up, dude. 0.97

01:28:24.340 Don't do all, don't, don't do it all overnight. 0.98

01:28:26.160 Yeah.

01:28:26.600 Not all overnight.

01:28:28.200 Yeah.

01:28:28.420 We'll, uh, we'll just keep easing into it.

01:28:30.860 Okay.

01:28:31.880 Amen.

01:28:32.420 New Christmas, Christmas album out now and his album Nine Lives.

01:28:35.220 Thanks again.

01:28:35.620 Have a good one, man.

01:28:36.240 Appreciate it, Leo.

01:28:36.780 Yeah.

01:28:37.000 Merry Christmas.

01:28:38.160 I'm just floating on the breeze and I feel I'm falling like these leaves.

01:28:43.200 I must be cornerstone.

01:28:48.400 Oh, but when I reach that ground, I'll share this peace of mind.

01:28:53.120 I found I can feel it in my bones.

01:28:57.280 But it's gonna take...

01:29:00.280 Wait a minute.

01:29:01.260 ...

01:29:01.680 It's gonna be fall.

01:29:03.480 I gotta go.

01:29:04.280 I can feel it in my bones.

01:29:06.260 I can feel it in my bones.

01:29:07.240 I can feel it in my bones.

01:29:08.600 I can feel it in my bones.
