Summary

Peter Navarro served as the Assistant to the President as Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy in the Trump White House. He is one of the guys who went hard on China, going hard on all of the insanity, the exact opposite of what's going on in the Biden administration. Like my father, Peter has also been the victim of a weaponized justice system, but most importantly, has never stopped fighting. He will have a lot to say, and this should be a powerful interview. Thanks to everyone who makes this show possible. 00:09:16.000 Check them out. And with that, we'll go to Peter.
00:09:19.000 Okay, guys, we're joined with the great Peter Navarro, certainly one of the architects of the America First trade policies, someone who's also been persecuted by the deep state, the Uni Party in D.C., with the unequal I think we have a lot to talk about, Peter, because you were there on the front lines.
00:09:41.000 You were there, you know, guiding an America first trade policy.
00:09:46.000 And they went after you, you know, like they're doing to my father.
00:09:49.000 But to start off with, it's clear that the swamp and the deep state, they're not even trying to hide their corruption anymore.
00:09:58.000 They're not even trying to hide their bias.
00:10:00.000 I mean, they're basically just coming out and straight at just saying it.
00:10:05.000 They're willing to destroy the lives of pretty much anyone in the MAGA movement, anyone that
00:10:11.000 gets in their way, either by putting, say, my father and his allies in jail or burying
00:10:17.000 them in legal fees or tying them up.
00:10:20.000 Not everyone can defend those things.
00:10:22.000 It's brutal.
00:10:23.000 All because they're terrified of the America First movement.
00:10:28.000 What comes next in your mind?
00:10:29.000 I mean, you know, they did this to you.
00:10:32.000 Contempt and this, and wanted to bring you out in cuffs.
00:10:35.000 I mean, it's absolute lunacy.
00:10:38.000 And as someone, you know, it's easy for me to complain about me and my father, but you were another person that, you know, they tried dragging through this mess.
00:10:44.000 Talk about it a little bit. What do we have to do next?
00:10:47.000 Well, first of all, to that point, I'm actually, Don, the first...
00:10:54.000 Senior White House official in the history, the entire history of our republic, to ever be charged with contempt of Congress.
00:11:02.000 Never happened before, and for good reason, because of the constitutional separation of power.
00:11:09.000 So, you know, the fact they went after me, the fact they're going after virtually every Trump official and advisor, including and up to your father, It indicates very clearly to both of us, I think, that they are deeply afraid of a MAGA agenda, which will return the old slogan in the 60s, power to the people, power to Main Street.
00:11:40.000 And that, to me, is what's going on.
00:11:45.000 Don, is try to distinguish clearly for your viewers between the signal and the noise.
00:11:52.000 The noise is going to be indictment after indictment after indictment, which is like throwing chum in the water for the MSNBCs and CNNs on the left, but also...
00:12:08.000 The disreputable now Fox News under the Murdochs with Roger Ailes gone.
00:12:13.000 It's the excuse to not cover the biggest corruption scandal in the history of the Oval Office, which is what's going on with Biden.
00:12:19.000 It's like, hey, we don't really have to cover it because we're doing this.
00:12:23.000 I mean, it's all distraction.
00:12:25.000 Look at this shiny object over here.
00:12:28.000 Ignore what you're actually seeing.
00:12:30.000 Yeah, the cognitive dissonance there, the dual system of injustice, the weaponization, the two-tier system of injustice, whatever you want to call it, Don.
00:12:42.000 This is like, the American people understand this is fundamentally wrong, which every time a new indictment comes up, your father goes up in the polls.
00:12:52.000 But all of that is noise compared to the signal.
00:12:55.000 The signal here, which we can never lose sight of, This is a seditious conspiracy to prevent Donald John Trump from getting back in the White House in January of 2025.
00:13:10.000 You mentioned that I was there at the beginning.
00:13:13.000 I don't think anybody would have bet on me at the time that I would have been only one of three senior White House advisors That went all the way from the campaign in 2016 to the end.
00:13:25.000 It was me, Miller, and Scavino, right?
00:13:28.000 We were the guys who survived because we had a mission which was to serve the mission of your father.
00:13:36.000 And the other part of the thing that people have to understand is, historically, this started from the campaign itself.
00:13:46.000 Trying to take your father out.
00:13:48.000 This is like election interference, seditious conspiracy, and everything in between.
00:13:55.000 It starts with the Russia hoax.
00:13:58.000 We go impeachment one, impeachment two, yada yada.
00:14:02.000 And now we've got like, what is it, like four different sets of indictments?
00:14:07.000 Yeah, four different sets, 75 different charges.
00:14:10.000 You know, I don't know what yesterday added, you know, apparently added, or last week I guess added, Perhaps the death penalty.
00:14:19.000 But before that, it was already, I think, 460 years.
00:14:24.000 Which, even for someone as young and vibrant as Donald Trump, let's call it a long period of time.
00:14:30.000 He's a high-energy guy, but that's a long time to wait.
00:14:35.000 Look, what's distressing about the whole thing is that the strategy is always to throw as many counts
00:14:41.000 at the defendant as you can, under the assumption that at least one of them will stick.
00:14:47.000 But look, again, the signal here is to prevent your father from being president again.
00:14:53.000 And what's scary, what I like to do, Don, is to try to provide the biggest possible perspective
00:14:59.000 on this, because this is third world country stuff, and in support of that hypothesis,
00:15:05.000 we simply look at, first of all, Brazil.
00:15:09.000 Bolsonaro was the Trump of Brazil.
00:15:12.000 He basically lost an election last year that was stolen from him by the socialist Lulu with help from the Chinese Communist Party.
00:15:21.000 Simple as that. That was flat-out election fraud.
00:15:24.000 Bolsonaro gets pushed out.
00:15:26.000 And the next thing that happens is the judiciary, right?
00:15:31.000 The judiciary of Brazil Makes a ruling that says Bolsonaro can't run in the next two elections.
00:15:40.000 So they basically weaponized the judicial system in Brazil to prevent the Trump of Brazil from ever running again, because he'll be long gone in two election cycles.
00:15:52.000 And that's not the only one.
00:15:53.000 If you go to Pakistan, The Trump of Pakistan met the same fate.
00:16:00.000 He gets out of office, he can run again, and now he can't run again because the judiciary took him out.
00:16:09.000 So we come here. And that's the signal.
00:16:12.000 This is all about stopping Trump's policies.
00:16:15.000 And who is it? Look, who is it that's trying to stop these Trump policies?
00:16:19.000 It starts with Wall Street, Silicon Valley, and the multinational corporations who all want to have insecure, open borders to bring in cheap labor, right?
00:16:31.000 And offshore jobs.
00:16:33.000 Our factories and jobs to China.
00:16:36.000 And all the money they have and make from that goes now into commercials on CNN and MSNBC and campaign contributions to what I call, you know, the kamikaze candidates in the Republican primaries.
00:16:51.000 The Christie's, the Pence's, the Haley's, and then you gotta...
00:16:57.000 I'm almost getting to the point now where I'm going to feel sorry for DeSantis, because the only thing he's now, he's like a milking cow with upholsters and political consultants sucking him dry, and good for them.
00:17:08.000 Oh, well, yeah, I think, what was it, like, 67% or something of every dollar goes to Jeff Rowe?
00:17:14.000 I mean, it's mind-boggling.
00:17:17.000 I've never seen a collapse that bad.
00:17:19.000 I'm watching all of his paid influencers in the last two weeks.
00:17:23.000 They're literally taking the Adam Schiff talking points.
00:17:28.000 The Adam Schiff, Adam Kinzinger, Liz Cheney talking points and running with them.
00:17:34.000 I mean, the flip-flop on Ukraine out of DeSantis.
00:17:37.000 The flip-flop on the weaponization I saw right after my father was charged.
00:17:40.000 Well, he's going to take that out of D.C. It's like, well, I remember three weeks ago when he had no interest and he was like, oh, that's not really a problem.
00:17:47.000 Man, it sucks because I had hoped for a lot for him in terms of I want us to have a deep Republican bench.
00:17:54.000 To your point about Bolsonaro, they try to take Trump out, but I want to make sure we have other people that can eventually fill those shoes and run with that same agenda.
00:18:05.000 But we don't. We have people controlled by the billionaires.
00:18:09.000 We have people controlled We have people controlled by the deep state.
00:18:11.000 We have people controlled by the uni party.
00:18:13.000 And they want to be liked. They want to be loved.
00:18:15.000 And more importantly, you know, they need the money.
00:18:17.000 So they'll do and say anything that they need to, flip-flop at a hat like we've seen DeSantis, to try to keep that money flowing.
00:18:25.000 And it's like, wait a minute. Like, I actually thought you were America first.
00:18:28.000 I thought you believed in these things.
00:18:29.000 But literally all of your influencers are pushing the January 6th committee, like, talking points now?
00:18:36.000 Because that's what... I mean, it's lunacy.
00:18:38.000 And the problem is, You know, once that person gets into office and he's beholden to all of these people, do you really think he's going to be America first?
00:18:45.000 Do you think he's going to be, you know, China first with, you know, we'll say a couple nice things about America occasionally, because, you know, that's what I think we get.
00:18:54.000 Well, look, I had a piece last week in The Washington Times, and it's also in my substack, and it was a piece about irony, the irony being that your dad...
00:19:08.000 He'll go down in history as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in America, ever.
00:19:13.000 But the irony is that he has created a Never Trump industry Which is making hundreds of billions of dollars, and it's dedicated to Donald Trump's destruction.
00:19:31.000 And we mentioned the Wall Street, the Silicon Valley, and all of that.
00:19:35.000 But you also have what I call the Trump disloyalists.
00:19:39.000 You know, besides the Christie's and the Haley's and the Pence's, you've got like, when I was in the White House, Don, you know, I'm serving side by side with Alyssa Farah, I'm serving with Bolton.
00:20:01.000 I'm serving with Mulvaney.
00:20:03.000 I'm serving with Bill Barr and Kudlow and all of them, Don.
00:20:10.000 Every single one of them has sold their soul to the never-Trump devils in exchange for either fame or fortune.
00:20:19.000 It's like, you want to get a TV gig on CBS or ABC or CNN? What do you do?
00:20:27.000 You sell out Donald Trump.
00:20:29.000 You lie about it.
00:20:30.000 And so, it's like, it's going to be It's going to be so important to win this election.
00:20:38.000 We can never lose sight of what's at stake in November of 2024.
00:20:43.000 And I think that's why the left is not just doubling down, they're quadrupling down on trying to take us all down.
00:20:51.000 I mean, everybody I served with, not everybody!
00:20:54.000 Has either been indicted or subpoenaed from the White House.
00:20:58.000 Never happened. And that's what it is.
00:20:59.000 Not everyone can fight it.
00:21:00.000 Not everyone has the stomach to fight it.
00:21:03.000 And the left and, you know, and again, and the swamp will take advantage of that.
00:21:08.000 You know, there's no level they won't stop.
00:21:10.000 They're playing with other people's money.
00:21:12.000 They're playing with house money, right?
00:21:13.000 They're using government resources to do it, so it doesn't actually cost them anything.
00:21:17.000 So they say, hey, let's make their lives miserable.
00:21:19.000 We'll ruin their families.
00:21:20.000 We'll make them foreclose on their home.
00:21:22.000 I mean, you've seen it play out.
00:21:25.000 I mean, you mentioned your Substack column, and you basically said that you think that Democrats are trying to push us towards civil war.
00:21:33.000 I mean, for all the unity talk that I heard coming out of Biden during the campaign, it's a soundbite, but then he'll vilify 75 million Americans in his speeches and stuff like that.
00:21:45.000 So it's, like everything else, probably all bullshit.
00:21:48.000 But can you explain...
00:21:50.000 You know, what you meant by that and what that means, because obviously, you know, it's a big statement and we've got to worry about it.
00:21:58.000 Yeah, and thanks for mentioning, look, the Substack is peternavar.substack.com, peternavar.substack.com.
00:22:05.000 What I'm trying to do there, Don, with that Substack is provide cutting edge, like short form op-ed length Articles that also become podcasts as well.
00:22:18.000 And what I'm trying to focus on are two major things.
00:22:22.000 One is like all things Trump 2024 and also all things how the communist Chinese are trying to take us down.
00:22:30.000 One of the pieces I had recently in the substat was this threat of civil war.
00:22:36.000 The left kind of, their heads exploded when I even mentioned that.
00:22:42.000 But I was very careful about, to start it off, with polling from very reputable pollsters that say that half are Republicans and a third, roughly, are Democrats think we may have a second I attribute this to a couple of things.
00:23:01.000 One is that the American public has lost faith in our democratic system as a result of everything the Democrats did leading into the 2020 election.
00:23:18.000 Before 1980, Don, we had A system where it was paper ballots and legal ballots counted and paper ballots with really good signature match and ID verification.
00:23:32.000 And we never even had to worry about that.
00:23:35.000 We've morphed into this world of absentee ballots, mail-in ballots, universal voting, drop boxes, ballot harvesting, and The Democrats pushed all of these reforms as a way of legally getting illegal ballots into the voting stream.
00:23:55.000 So that's one of the things pushing us towards civil war.
00:23:59.000 But the other thing is the radical portion of the Democrat Party, which controls it and Biden, are hitting us with things that are so offensive to God, country, family, culture, Religion.
00:24:17.000 It's just crazy stuff that's trying to jam down our throats.
00:24:22.000 And we're saying we don't want any part of that.
00:24:26.000 And it's frightening to think that we could get four more years of that from a fool who can't even stand up the stairs going into Air Force One.
00:24:35.000 I'm talking about Joe Biden, of course.
00:24:38.000 Yeah. Well, listen, I mean, there's no question there seems to be another industry there in creating that strife between the American public.
00:24:46.000 And I know, you know, orange man bad and such, but I don't think a reasonable person could look at where they stand today versus four years ago and say they're better off.
00:24:56.000 I... I guess I have an economics degree from Wharton.
00:25:00.000 I'm not a professional economist, but I can't think of a single metric, not one, where anyone is better off today, whether that's inflation, whether that's interest rates, whether that's literally anything, energy independence, job.
00:25:15.000 There's no number.
00:25:17.000 Joe Biden, I know they're very good at sort of changing the way things have historically been measured to paint a glowing picture, but But talk about that, because for all the faults and all the things that they say about Trump, I don't think anyone could really sell—I see Joe Biden selling us Bidenomics, but I'm the son of a billionaire.
00:25:37.000 If I'm pissed off when I'm filling up my truck or when I take my kids to a grocery store because I got them for the weekend— Ordinary Americans must be getting crushed.
00:25:47.000 And if it's obvious to me, how is it not obvious to them?
00:25:51.000 I'm old enough to remember as an adult, a young adult, the 1970s stagflation.
00:26:00.000 And what's important to understand about stagflation, which is a combination of Of inflation, obviously, but also either flat-out recessions grow slower than it should be, right?
00:26:14.000 And it's a very painful kind of macroeconomic malady.
00:26:21.000 Because it just taxes the hell out of you, particularly if you're like a deplorable, right?
00:26:27.000 You've just been killed.
00:26:29.000 And the thing to remember about the 70s that probably 99% of Americans really don't realize is it lasted over 10 years, okay?
00:26:41.000 The 70s are a decade, but this whole thing started in 68 with Lyndon Johnson.
00:26:46.000 It went all the way to 81, 82.
00:26:50.000 With Ronald Reagan kind of wringing that out and getting us off on a better path.
00:26:55.000 But it was a very long time of pain.
00:26:58.000 And when I was in the White House in May of 2020, right, I actually wrote a memo to the Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, that was supposed to go to your father.
00:27:13.000 I doubt if it ever did, because that's what Meadows did, frankly.
00:27:17.000 But I warned Precisely of stagflation in that memo because I saw how the pandemic was attacking the resiliency of our supply chains.
00:27:30.000 I saw how our urban environment was shifting.
00:27:36.000 People were going to the suburbs, were howling out.
00:27:39.000 And it was just a recipe For the kinds of conditions that we would have.
00:27:44.000 And so what we did at the time was double up our efforts to bring our supply chains home, which was critical, make them more resilient, take the kind of MAGA steps that we needed to do.
00:27:58.000 And then the election happened and out your father went.
00:28:03.000 And when Biden comes in, He's like a stagflation creator, right?
00:28:09.000 The first thing he does is surrender our strategic energy dominance, right?
00:28:15.000 It's like, yeah, you can't be drilling, you can't be on those lands, no pipelines or whatever.
00:28:20.000 We get spikes in oil prices, which then go to spikes in food prices because food prices are driven by fertilizer prices, which is made from oil.
00:28:31.000 As well as transportation, even though that's not included in CPI. They conveniently leave that one out.
00:28:37.000 Yes, they conveniently leave that out.
00:28:40.000 And so Biden does this, so he's creating stagflation there.
00:28:50.000 And that's what we call cost-pushing inflation.
00:28:53.000 And then he starts passing these multi-trillion dollar bills over and over, and that's demand-pull inflation, which is like a freight train going down.
00:29:03.000 I mean, we've had a little spot where it kind of looks like the economy's growing, but it's the eye of a hurricane, Don, because interest rates are not going down for a very long time.
00:29:16.000 And that's slowly choking small business.
00:29:18.000 It's slowly choking the corporations who do a lot of deal-making.
00:29:23.000 And it's slowly choking consumers because it's hitting them with the credit card debt.
00:29:28.000 And all of this, as your father once said in a famous speech, is a politician-made disaster.
00:29:35.000 That's binomics.
00:29:37.000 Binomics equals stagnation.
00:29:39.000 Binomics equals stagnation.
00:29:41.000 Repeat after me. And that's what we got.
00:29:43.000 You know, campaigns are about About powerful, short messaging, and that's one of the ones I'm going to be carrying.
00:29:51.000 Look, the other reality here is that two-thirds of the time that Biden's been in office, real wages, which are wages adjusted by inflation, have been falling.
00:30:05.000 Okay? Falling.
00:30:07.000 Wages falling with prices rising is not a recipe for success, and that's my basic understanding of it.
00:30:16.000 So that's a disaster.
00:30:18.000 Listen, as someone who was sort of on the front lines of the America first, not China first policies,
00:30:27.000 talk a little bit about that.
00:30:28.000 I mean, you were there with my father, fighting the insanity of the trade stuff.
00:30:33.000 You were in there dealing with all of that.
00:30:36.000 Talk about what was accomplished there, as well as how quickly you've seen some of that eroded.
00:30:41.000 Because I look at this administration, I guess the billion dollar investment in Hunter
00:30:47.000 is proving to be one of the great returns on investment in all time, in the sense that we're getting an America
00:30:53.000 last, China first policy.
00:30:55.000 And you have to wonder, and again, if we had other than regime propagandists in our media, you'd be asking the question, are they making these decisions because China has all of that?
00:31:06.000 Well, let me start with something that's happening right now that's absolutely frightening as a result of your father not being president.
00:31:16.000 We've got rocket man, Kim Jong-un, in North Korea.
00:31:22.000 Just setting off unprecedented amounts of rockets and bombs and testing and developing first and second strike capabilities to hit the United States.
00:31:33.000 Okay? And when your father was in office He went head-to-head and face-to-face with Rocket Man, and that little dude, he wasn't doing anything.
00:31:46.000 He knew that Donald Trump was going to come bust his ass if he pulled any of that crap, okay?
00:31:53.000 So go back to the beginning.
00:31:55.000 The way I ever wound up at Trump Tower in the summer of 2016 on the campaign, Was your dad read my first book on China called The Coming China Wars, which was published in 2006.
00:32:10.000 And he happened to say something in the LA Times that it was on his top 10 list.
00:32:15.000 And I reached out to him through RONA and we began a correspondence.
00:32:20.000 And when time came for the campaign, he was like, find Navarro and let's get some China stuff done, right?
00:32:28.000 And the macro stuff was a bonus.
00:32:30.000 And so... What your father did was incredible because he wasn't beholden to anybody.
00:32:38.000 That's the beauty of Donald Trump.
00:32:40.000 He didn't have to take the money of all the people who were making money off China.
00:32:45.000 So he comes in and says, look, China China.
00:32:50.000 You are doing what I call the seven deadly sins.
00:32:54.000 You know, it's the intellectual property theft, the cyber hacking, the subsidies, the state-owned enterprises, and the fentanyl.
00:33:00.000 Let's not forget the 50,000 Americans they kill every year.
00:33:03.000 And your father said, look, you stop doing that or I'm going to put tariffs on and effectively begin to decouple from your economy.
00:33:12.000 You're going to pay. And so We went through a series of meetings.
00:33:17.000 I was at several of them with your father, with Xi Jinping, first at Mar-a-Lago, and then I think it was in Osaka or Buenos Aires.
00:33:27.000 I forget which of those G20 meetings.
00:33:30.000 And your father stood strong, he stood tall, and we were able to at least hold China at bay for a while.
00:33:41.000 Yeah. And as soon as your father's gone, it's like Katie borrowed the door.
00:33:45.000 And here's the thing, Don.
00:33:47.000 It's like the difference between a democracy like ours and the Chinese bureaucracy is those same son of a bitches that I would sit across the table from and negotiate with are the same sons of bitches that are doing it with the Biden people.
00:34:02.000 They have continuity.
00:34:04.000 And the advantage of continuity is they can read who's across the table.
00:34:09.000 They didn't give us any crap.
00:34:11.000 They wouldn't dare.
00:34:12.000 They didn't give Donald Trump crap.
00:34:14.000 They give Biden crap from the day that Secretary Blinken flew to Alaska for his first meeting with Tiger Yang.
00:34:23.000 And Yang got up in his grill.
00:34:24.000 They do that with us? It's like, no, dude.
00:34:28.000 You don't do that. You can see the body language.
00:34:30.000 Jen Yellen's there bowing like we're begging for them to do us a favor.
00:34:34.000 I mean, we're not exerting or we no longer exert any of the Natural advantages that we have, it's total capitulation to them.
00:34:44.000 And again, I imagine some of that's because they have been bought and paid for.
00:34:50.000 But watching it happen, watching it transpire, It is remarkable.
00:34:56.000 What would be the first steps that you would do as someone who's been there to stop it once we get this back in 2024?
00:35:06.000 What should America be doing to prevent that threat of China?
00:35:10.000 Are they this big?
00:35:14.000 Obviously, they're a huge threat.
00:35:16.000 I think they're our number one threat by far, but We're good to go.
00:35:38.000 I don't love most of their system, but the continuity component, especially if you have competent people, is rather important.
00:35:46.000 We have neither continuity nor competent people.
00:35:50.000 Well, let's start with the observation that the American consumer is paying for the rise of the Chinese military.
00:36:02.000 It's scary to me that our Trade deficit with China is roughly the size of their military budget.
00:36:11.000 Think about that, Don. So when we go to the Walmart, the big box retailers, and buy that made in China crap, which is what it is, it's like we're essentially funding the missiles and the aircraft carriers and the submarines that China is going to use against us to sink our aircraft carriers and our submarines and bomb Guam and In the South China Sea, the East China Sea, and the South Pacific.
00:36:37.000 That's kind of the chessboard.
00:36:39.000 And remember, they're fighting on home turf.
00:36:42.000 So even if their military isn't as good as ours, we're fighting 7,000 miles away.
00:36:50.000 Now, to your point, what's the first things we do?
00:36:53.000 I think it's really important.
00:36:55.000 Your father is like Teddy Roosevelt.
00:36:59.000 It's like, walk softly, but carry a big stick.
00:37:03.000 As strong as his rhetoric was with Communist China, it was never over the top.
00:37:10.000 It was just, hey, if you're going to do this, we're going to do this.
00:37:14.000 And he was convincing enough that they believed that and that that was the way to go.
00:37:20.000 What we need to do now, because we know The Communist Chinese will not keep any DLA signed, so negotiations are fruitless.
00:37:29.000 We need to begin quickly the process of decoupling our economy from Communist China, and then we need to get back to the old days of soft power projection all around the world.
00:37:44.000 Like China, communist China right now is in every country in Africa and they've been there for
00:37:50.000 for going on 30 years. And they show up with a briefcase of cash. They bribe their way into every
00:37:56.000 rare earth mineral mine. And we're pushing green energy that, you know, whether it's the windmills
00:38:00.000 that are made entirely in China or the solar or the batteries for your EVs, all of it 100 percent
00:38:08.000 controlled by China. The statistic you mentioned about our trade deficit is roughly their military
00:38:13.000 budget. I mean, I've actually never heard that amazingly enough. But like to me, that's like
00:38:18.000 the strongest metric I've seen out there to understand like why we have to stop feeding
00:38:26.000 into that, why we got to either have, you know, create the incentives to do these things ourselves,
00:38:31.000 find other trade partners, not be beholden to China because we can save that.
00:38:36.000 that last tenth of a cent, because they're having slave labor do the stuff, again, in less
00:38:43.000 than environmental conditions and against all the sort of Democrat talking points that are out there.
00:38:48.000 I mean, these people are doing it ruthlessly.
00:38:50.000 They're doing it in a corrupt fashion.
00:38:52.000 They're doing it with slave labor, in many cases, or essentially that, in terrible conditions.
00:38:59.000 I think once we wake up to that, and I think that's a great way of saying it,
00:39:02.000 our trade deficit is what they're spending on our military.
00:39:05.000 That military will eventually be weaponized against us.
00:39:07.000 Because it's not just their military.
00:39:09.000 They're able to get ahead in business, because they steal our IP.
00:39:13.000 They hack into it.
00:39:14.000 They steal everything.
00:39:15.000 They make a duplicate that they figure out.
00:39:17.000 Rather than spending billions and billions investing in something, they take it.
00:39:21.000 They have that as a foundation.
00:39:22.000 They spend $0.02 to make it a little bit better, and they go.
00:39:26.000 And we do nothing. We say nothing, we allow it to happen.
00:39:30.000 It can't go on forever.
00:39:33.000 And to that point, we've also got to stop our companies from providing China with a kind of competitive advantage to hit back on us.
00:39:46.000 If you look, for example, at artificial intelligence, there's a lot of reasons why this is going to be a technology that is going to pose threats to the world.
00:39:58.000 But the biggest one has to be in military applications.
00:40:02.000 It just has a dizzying array of military applications.
00:40:06.000 So why is it That Microsoft, for example, has been working with the Communist Chinese in research on artificial intelligence.
00:40:16.000 It makes no frigging sense that we would allow that.
00:40:22.000 It's like, why would our NIH and the esteemed Dr.
00:40:27.000 Anthony Fauci be funding China's research into...
00:40:30.000 Basically, bioweapons. I wonder what could go wrong, Peter.
00:40:34.000 What could go wrong? But this is happening every day.
00:40:36.000 They own our biggest companies.
00:40:40.000 If you want to do any business in China, you've got to just submit and give them all of your IP, all of your technology, all of your trademarks.
00:40:47.000 So they see, and they just start building from there.
00:40:51.000 No base-level work.
00:40:54.000 It's scary, but we're so beholden to their 1.7 billion people.
00:40:59.000 We want to get to those markets that our corporations have sold their soul and our country and our future to satisfy that.
00:41:07.000 Well, let's talk about Zuckerberg and Musk for a minute.
00:41:12.000 Zuckerberg played a major role in the 2020 election theft because he was the guy funding all the drop boxes and the ballot of harvesting.
00:41:21.000 Here's another stat for you.
00:41:22.000 I don't know if you know this stat, Don.
00:41:24.000 Zuckerberg actually spent more money in the battleground states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania than the Trump campaign did.
00:41:35.000 Think about that.
00:41:37.000 And then you got Musk, Elon Musk.
00:41:41.000 He has effectively thrown All of his Tesla production over to Shanghai.
00:41:48.000 In the beginning, it was like, yeah, we're going to do some of it over there, but mostly it's going to be in America.
00:41:53.000 No, no, no, no. He's won his big bet in Shanghai, and we've seen him go over there, kiss the Chinese ass, kowtow to them, because he knows, as you and I know, that one crossword about Xi Jinping or Communist China And Communist China is just going to take his Tesla factories.
00:42:17.000 And meanwhile, what Musk doesn't understand, as smart as he is, that it's only a matter of time before Communist China takes that plant and the technology of Musk, just like the Nazis took the plant from Henry Ford in the 30s when Ford went over there with the same kind of naivete.
00:42:38.000 And so you've got American corporations going over there, giving them to technologies.
00:42:46.000 That's one of the seven deadly sins.
00:42:48.000 Force technology transfer, Don.
00:42:50.000 You know this. You've said it many times.
00:42:52.000 It's like, if you want to go play in the Chinese market, you've got to give them your technology.
00:42:56.000 Okay? That's a death sentence.
00:42:59.000 I mean, look what happened to GE, one of the greatest corporations in the world, up to the point where it wasn't.
00:43:05.000 What killed it? The Chinese taking all of its technology in exchange for giving them some slave labor for a while.
00:43:13.000 Yeah. No, it's crazy.
00:43:15.000 And I think we have to wake up to that a little bit sooner.
00:43:19.000 And you're right. There's people that, you know, they say the right things sort of on TV. But ultimately, you know, we got to understand that they are beholden to those governments.
00:43:28.000 And, you know, if you're in the battery space, I mean, China owns all of it.
00:43:31.000 They didn't get those contracts.
00:43:33.000 Through good dealings or otherwise, they show up with a briefcase of cash to other corrupt countries and they take advantage of that.
00:43:41.000 If we even thought about doing that, they'd put us in cuffs.
00:43:45.000 I'm not saying it's right, but we're not playing on a level playing field and we have to wake up to that and or do something about it.
00:43:52.000 Someone smart I know once basically said that, hey, if you ever found out that these contracts were acquired illegally, you should be able to...
00:44:02.000 Bring them back, expatriate them back from these things, and China would lose their minds because they know exactly the ill-gotten gains.
00:44:10.000 Peter, you mentioned AI, and obviously there's a lot there.
00:44:16.000 I had an interesting conversation with Palmer Luckey.
00:44:18.000 He was the founder of Oculus.
00:44:20.000 He was the first conservative that ended up on The Facebook board, they threw him off later because he was a conservative, even though he was like 19 at the time.
00:44:28.000 But super advanced tech guy, founded Oculus, sold that to Facebook, yada, yada, yada.
00:44:35.000 But he was talking to me about AI like five or six years ago.
00:44:38.000 He goes, you know, the real problem with it that we haven't realized is that, especially China, they'll weaponize this, is at any other point in history, You know, people could get together and they could, you know, rebel against oppression and do that.
00:44:52.000 But with AI and a camera in any corner...
00:44:55.000 It basically is allowing those governments and those dictatorial regimes, the second two people interact that way, before they can ever hit a critical mass, they can end it.
00:45:05.000 So there's no actual hope for change as one of the scary aspects of AI. You mentioned the military component.
00:45:12.000 Are there other things that we have to be thinking about?
00:45:14.000 Because, you know, I think AI has a lot of benefits.
00:45:16.000 I think it's going to displace all of our...
00:45:20.000 Are ridiculous journalists very quickly because they don't actually do anything all that interesting or creative and they'll be easily replaced.
00:45:28.000 They probably won't be able to replace a farmer as easily.
00:45:30.000 So that will be interesting.
00:45:32.000 But, you know, thinking about all of these things as that technology advances, what are the other pitfalls you see coming from it?
00:45:38.000 Well, look, if you if you look at it from a military perspective, let's suppose that China commands The AEI heights, right?
00:45:51.000 What can it do with that?
00:45:53.000 I mean, first of all, it can command a whole set of drone armies, navies, and air forces.
00:46:03.000 You know, it's the war of the machines.
00:46:04.000 It's like sci-fi writ large.
00:46:07.000 And it can deploy these kinds of Of weapons in a real-time, sophisticated way that has a strategy and then immediately when it's out in space can react tactically faster than any human being could possibly do.
00:46:27.000 You can imagine the Chinese AI military completely overwhelming ours.
00:46:36.000 That's a real kind of possibility.
00:46:40.000 The second thing AI can do from a military perspective is totally scramble all of the logistics of A military that's dependent on any kind of electronic networks once you break into that.
00:46:58.000 And then, look, the whole thing about China, Don, communist China, it's always communist China, is they have this doctrine called unrestricted warfare.
00:47:09.000 To them, it's like nuclear weapons are so like 1950s.
00:47:13.000 It's like, no, no, we don't need that.
00:47:15.000 But what we can do is we can deploy AI, for example, and merge it with blockchain technology and go in and de-encrypt all the financial systems of the United States like in a heartbeat and suddenly it's like People don't have any money to spend or credit to give or whatever.
00:47:37.000 It's like a blackout, right?
00:47:40.000 A blackout, but in our financial system.
00:47:43.000 So these are some of the things they can do, and it's frightening.
00:47:47.000 I do want to talk about Fauci at some point, but what's your response to the AI thing?
00:47:53.000 Well, it's interesting, you know, I hear, you know, you mentioned Musk earlier, you know, I hear him talking about, you know, the dangers and the pitfalls of it, and I agree.
00:48:01.000 The problem is, I don't think that China or Iran or Russia or our enemies around the world, I don't think they care.
00:48:11.000 You can't put the genie back in the body.
00:48:14.000 We'll put restrictions on ourselves.
00:48:18.000 Our enemies will not allow any of those restrictions.
00:48:22.000 And just by the nature of it, just pure processing power, you lose.
00:48:27.000 You can't win.
00:48:28.000 So I agree with him.
00:48:29.000 But you mentioned China will never adhere to a document that they signed.
00:48:34.000 They'll sign a document, and three seconds later, they'll be breaking it and doing whatever they can, hoping they don't get caught.
00:48:40.000 If they get caught, they'll start over.
00:48:42.000 We'll go in there in good faith, pretending that they're going to do the right thing, and they won't do it, even though they say they will.
00:48:47.000 And it never ends.
00:48:48.000 So that aspect of it's scary.
00:48:50.000 Because once the genie's out of the bottle, if there's no real way to police our enemies...
00:48:57.000 I'd love to see the restrictions, but only if they were universal.
00:49:02.000 The biggest restrictions we should have, and the ones that make the most sense, are restricting American companies and American capital from helping China develop AI. That's a certainty.
00:49:17.000 We don't help their academics at our universities.
00:49:19.000 We don't help their companies.
00:49:21.000 We don't fund their finance at it.
00:49:23.000 That's a reasonable restriction.
00:49:25.000 But you're absolutely right.
00:49:26.000 This genie's out of the bottle, and it's an arms race now.
00:49:30.000 It's an AI race, and we damn well better win this.
00:49:33.000 So give me your Fauci.
00:49:35.000 I had brought it up as an example, but you had to sit there with that guy.
00:49:41.000 So give me what you got.
00:49:44.000 I'm sure our audience wants to hear about it.
00:49:47.000 I mean, you know how your dad...
00:49:50.000 I mean, if he's ever disappointed in you, you know that's the worst thing that can happen, right?
00:49:57.000 That's the D word, you don't want a guy.
00:50:00.000 So the only thing I would say with my experience in the White House with Fauci is I was disappointed Because I told the boss to fire Fauci on two different occasions.
00:50:14.000 And it was early on.
00:50:16.000 It was like, there's this, I think it's rightfully say, a historic encounter with Fauci in the iconic Situation Room.
00:50:27.000 It's the end of January of 2020, right?
00:50:30.000 That was essentially the dawn of what would be the pandemic.
00:50:35.000 And I had been dispatched by your dad to go to the sit room and argue the case for the China travel ban.
00:50:47.000 There was resistance among, Mulvaney was against it.
00:50:52.000 You had these guys who I didn't yet know from the healthcare bureaucracies against it, right?
00:50:58.000 And so I go in the situation room and there's this little gnome of a guy sitting across from me that I didn't know who he was.
00:51:08.000 I didn't know him from Adam. And like five minutes in to the meeting, I'm in like this almost angry shouting match with this son of a bitch because he's vehemently against the travel ban and he's giving me no reason why.
00:51:26.000 He's just saying they don't work.
00:51:28.000 It's like, I'm going, you mean to tell me?
00:51:30.000 It's like we're going to have 20,000 Chinese people come in every day into our country on aircraft direct from a hot zone where people are dying left and right.
00:51:43.000 And that's not going to help.
00:51:46.000 So that was Fauci.
00:51:48.000 And it was like, I didn't know he walked on water at the time.
00:51:51.000 My takeaway. And what was funny about it was, is he and Mulvaney kind of win that day.
00:51:57.000 But I go that night and I write this memo.
00:52:01.000 That turned out to be as accurate as anything I've ever read.
00:52:04.000 I said, look, you don't do this travel ban and take other measures.
00:52:07.000 We're going to kill half a million people, and it's equally important, not less important, but it's going to cost our economy trillions and trillions of dollars.
00:52:21.000 And what I did is a classic bureaucratic trick.
00:52:23.000 You'll love this sign. Is I plastered the email list to everybody, right?
00:52:29.000 So it's like there's no way that they could suppress that.
00:52:32.000 So it's on the record.
00:52:35.000 Yeah. It's on the record.
00:52:36.000 That's the thing. How did he become...
00:52:39.000 Yeah. How did he become this hero?
00:52:42.000 His record was terrible.
00:52:44.000 He'd never done that. Now, the media made him into...
00:52:46.000 Again, I agree with you.
00:52:49.000 I think he's an incompetent asshole.
00:52:50.000 But I think you also probably couldn't fire him.
00:52:53.000 I think you'd be killed.
00:52:55.000 Congress would have impeached Trump for endangering Americans for not listening to the deity that they created.
00:53:02.000 And I know this only because...
00:53:05.000 Trump did not go along with what he wanted a bunch of times.
00:53:10.000 And when he didn't, it was the end of the world.
00:53:13.000 They wanted to kill Trump.
00:53:14.000 He's literally killing people, Peter.
00:53:17.000 Remember, literally killing families and women and children.
00:53:21.000 And the fact that your dad didn't fire him, that's why he's president and not me, because he made the calculated judgment.
00:53:27.000 Here's the best part of this story, Don.
00:53:30.000 The best part of this story is that, at the time, Fauci knew, he knew with certainty that that thing came from the Wuhan lab.
00:53:42.000 And he knew with certainty because he himself had funded gain-of-function research in the lab And he was already writing to his academics to get them to cover up what was his sin by propagating this phony lie about it being from nature.
00:54:05.000 Okay? So if he had just come clean, if he had just come clean With your father and the American people, right then, we could have developed a much more effective vaccine faster, and we could have held the Communist Chinese accountable.
00:54:25.000 For what they did.
00:54:27.000 And because he lied, and lied, and lied, and lied, and lied.
00:54:30.000 Well, he lied before Congress.
00:54:32.000 You and I— And he hasn't been held accountable.
00:54:35.000 You and I would not get that benefit of the doubt, Peter.
00:54:37.000 And you get back to the dual system of injustice.
00:54:39.000 They're putting me in leg irons.
00:54:42.000 Fauci killed millions of people, literally, and he's walking free.
00:54:46.000 Go figure. Yeah.
00:54:48.000 Well, listen, talking about that sort of, you know, unequal system of justice, it's no coincidence, obviously, that these indictments magically of Trump come the day after major news happens on the Biden.
00:55:03.000 You know, the first indictment came the day after he's implicated.
00:55:06.000 Then, you know, Hunter Biden gets the sweetheart deal with Grant, you know, all sorts of extra immunity and, like, Like, why are we giving him immunity for something that has nothing to do with the charges that we already know about that no one else would have gotten that benefit of it?
00:55:18.000 Next day, more Trump charges.
00:55:20.000 You know, then you have the Devin Archer testimony implicating Joe Biden and direct involvement.
00:55:24.000 The next day, more charges.
00:55:26.000 I mean... What's going on here?
00:55:30.000 When should or should the House start moving towards impeachment?
00:55:33.000 Because, you know, I heard a lot, and you heard a lot during the Trump presidency, you know, every little, every time, if he tweeted something, it was worse than Watergate.
00:55:42.000 It's where, you know, Bob Woodward and all these clowns, you know, they come out there and do this, but this is way worse than Watergate, and it's like, they're...
00:55:52.000 They're allowing it to be overshadowed by weaponizing their government against their political enemies?
00:55:57.000 It's mind-boggling, actually.
00:56:00.000 Well, this is why, Don, this is seditious conspiracy.
00:56:04.000 I mean, let's think about this.
00:56:06.000 Sedition is basically...
00:56:10.000 Two or more people working to overthrow the government.
00:56:14.000 Now, the government they're trying to overthrow is the one that Donald Trump will form in January 2025.
00:56:20.000 But that's sedition.
00:56:22.000 Or at a minimum, election interference.
00:56:24.000 And the conspiracy is, this is what we have to find out once Donald Trump's elected.
00:56:30.000 It's like, Jack Smith...
00:56:33.000 Who's he talking to?
00:56:35.000 Okay? Or is he operating in a bubble?
00:56:37.000 Merrick Garland? And then is Garland talking to Biden?
00:56:41.000 Or somebody over there?
00:56:43.000 You know, it's like, and what about the FBI? Which, I mean, look, the FBI, the FBI put Stephen Halper, an ex-CIA guy, as an informant into the Trump campaign in 2016.
00:57:02.000 I mean, what?
00:57:05.000 So, this is what we have to find out.
00:57:09.000 This is the worst kind of sedition, and these people need to be held accountable for it.
00:57:18.000 I always say, coming into politics, this wonderful journey we've got to be on for the last seven or eight years, I always say, as ruthless as business could be, it doesn't even compare to the abuses and corruption- In politics, the stuff we've seen against my father, my family, and his allies, the inverse response for the Democrats and actual corruption, the people at the FBI who lied before Congress.
00:57:50.000 Nothing happens. They get rewarded with jobs as talk show hosts and pundits on CNN and MSDNC. They didn't get the treatment that you or I would have gotten.
00:58:00.000 Talk about how you've been a victim yourself in all of this.
00:58:05.000 Virtually everyone in my father's corner has been.
00:58:08.000 You mentioned leg shackles.
00:58:10.000 They literally wanted to put you in those for not going along with their nonsense.
00:58:16.000 And now going after the president himself.
00:58:18.000 These charges last week about the new January 6th stuff.
00:58:24.000 Because they didn't do it two and a half years ago when it happened.
00:58:27.000 They just see him rising in the polls.
00:58:29.000 So now is when we have to throw more on there to do it.
00:58:34.000 Is getting, you know, indictment after indictment, subpoena after, it just never ends.
00:58:39.000 You know, talk about your experience within all of that, because you were one of the people they targeted heavily as well.
00:58:46.000 Well, look, when I was in the White House, my primary mission was to help your dad create jobs, primarily manufacturing jobs.
00:58:56.000 I was the manufacturing czar, as it were.
00:59:01.000 For the first three years, he did a heck of a job at that.
00:59:06.000 And I personally can claim at least partial and sometimes full credit boots on the ground.
00:59:14.000 We're doing things like saving the Philadelphia shipyard or helping to save tank plants in Pennsylvania or a shipyard in Marriott, Wisconsin or an F-16 new production facility in South Carolina under the banner of your father.
00:59:34.000 He says, go forth and multiply those factories.
00:59:37.000 And that's what we did. And then the fourth year, I became effectively the quartermaster during the pandemic.
00:59:46.000 I saw it sooner than just about everybody in the White House because, I don't know if you know this, but back in that book I was telling you about, The Coming China Wars, I actually wrote that China was going to create a pandemic.
01:00:01.000 I forecast that.
01:00:03.000 So when this stuff started happening...
01:00:04.000 So I spent all my time in 2020 bringing home our supply chains and making sure we had all of the PPE, the ventilators.
01:00:14.000 That was one of the great feats of Donald John Trump, is to go from a serious...
01:00:20.000 All of that, right?
01:00:21.000 So in ordinary times I get out of the White House, it's like, hey, maybe...
01:00:28.000 Maybe people show me a little respect, TV, maybe welcome back in academia, maybe a corporate board or something.
01:00:37.000 It's like, no, I'm going to end up getting hounded, hounded, absolutely hounded by the Biden, FBI, and DOJ. And the story with the FBI, I mean, here's the thing, you can't make this up.
01:00:51.000 It's like, I live in an apartment, Don, In Washington, D.C. on Pennsylvania Avenue.
01:00:58.000 Okay? I go out on the balcony and I look to my right and it's the FBI. I look across the street.
01:01:06.000 It's the Department of Justice.
01:01:07.000 And I look across the street a little more to the left and it's the National Archives.
01:01:11.000 And all three of them.
01:01:13.000 All three of them.
01:01:15.000 Either trying to put me in prison or prosecute me in some way.
01:01:22.000 And so what the FBI did when they arrested me is instead of calling my attorney, as I asked them to do, or had me walk across the street to their headquarters or being cordial about it, They let me get on a plane with a loved one, go out to Reagan Airport, sit there for an hour, and then they take me down with five armed FBI agents in a gangway, Slap handcuffs on me, wrap my arms behind my back,
01:01:53.000 and throw me on the back seat of a little car, take me in, and kind of roughly process me there.
01:02:01.000 And it's like, yeah, take off your neckties so you don't hang yourself.
01:02:07.000 You take off your belt so you don't hang yourself.
01:02:09.000 Put yourself in leg eyes.
01:02:10.000 And it's like, there's comical moments.
01:02:13.000 I'm going, really? Is this what you really want to do?
01:02:16.000 This guard, I mean, he's a nice guy.
01:02:19.000 But he's walking fast down the jail cell aisle like I'm supposed to follow him.
01:02:25.000 I go, wait a minute, you can't walk very fast in the leg arms.
01:02:29.000 And they're proud of the fact that they put me in the same cell that John Hinckley sat in when he shot Reagan.
01:02:35.000 It's like, okay, there's a pretty good moral equivalence there, guys.
01:02:40.000 And it was all designed to punish And intimidate me and maybe turn me against your father.
01:02:48.000 I mean, that's what it was about.
01:02:50.000 They did the same to Roger Stone and to Steve Bannon and anyone who's a powerful voice in that movement.
01:02:57.000 Meanwhile, Hunter Biden, they call, they give them advance notice.
01:03:00.000 Then they can't do the search because once they've had the advance...
01:03:02.000 Again, I hope that people just wake up to these patterns because there's no coincidence in any of this, obviously.
01:03:14.000 You lived a life which appears to be both highly successful, ethical, and honorable.
01:03:23.000 You're a good son.
01:03:26.000 Contrary to what they say on CNN. If you had done what Hunter Biden had done, can you imagine how How you would be treated, okay? You'd be like, you'd probably be locked up in Guantanamo.
01:03:47.000 That's what I say. By the way, if I acted like Hunter, DJT would put me there himself.
01:03:53.000 Yes. Deservedly so.
01:03:57.000 So, I mean, look, I mean, you're the...
01:04:00.000 I mean, I'm not bad as a poster guy for this dual system of injustice, but I gotta play second fiddle to you.
01:04:10.000 I mean, all the testimony, all the crap they've thrown at you, it's just like...
01:04:15.000 It's just...
01:04:18.000 And the American people, ultimately, the American people understand that this is wrong.
01:04:24.000 Yeah, I think so.
01:04:25.000 I think they get it.
01:04:29.000 I think they get it.
01:04:32.000 You know, and amid all of this, Trump is actually getting stronger and stronger in the polling.
01:04:38.000 I mean, that's, you know, I think initially it was designed, you know, to make it look, oh, well, maybe we got to get away.
01:04:44.000 Then it became so egregious, so excessive, so over the top that, like, ordinary Americans, even those in the center, they're like, wait a minute, wait a minute.
01:04:54.000 I'm watching Never Trumpers be like, listen, I don't like the guy, but this can't stand in America.
01:04:59.000 Because they're smart enough to realize...
01:05:01.000 That if they can do it to Trump, they can do it to anyone.
01:05:04.000 If they will do it to Trump, someone who's got a huge soapbox, the power of beans to be able to push back and fight, who won't they destroy?
01:05:13.000 I think we've watched, you know, the FBI, whether it's what they did to you,
01:05:18.000 or whether what it is do they do to a school mom who's concerned
01:05:21.000 and goes to a PTA meeting and say, hey, I don't want my kids being indoctrinated.
01:05:25.000 Oh, you're a domestic terrorist.
01:05:27.000 So, you know, with all of this and Trump getting stronger, what do you think's going on in this primary?
01:05:32.000 Is it over?
01:05:33.000 Are the other candidates there just to, you know, waste resources that could be used to defeat Joe Biden?
01:05:40.000 Because, you know, they're ultimately establishment clowns and there's no consequence, right?
01:05:46.000 If they lose, they'll get some sort of ambassadorship and if they can stop Trump from taking it over, you know, that's okay and the ends justify the means?
01:05:55.000 Well, look, when I was in the White House, Going into 2020, sitting in the Oval with your dad and you have people come in and blow smoke, you know, where say everything is going to be cool.
01:06:12.000 It's like I was always a person who would say, this is going to be tough.
01:06:19.000 I don't care what the national polls say.
01:06:21.000 It's all about the battlegrounds.
01:06:23.000 And what I think is, right now, if you held it today, it's over.
01:06:28.000 But please understand, Don, there's going to be an October surprise, a November surprise, a December surprise, a January surprise, going into that first primary in South Carolina, where they already have the deck on.
01:06:41.000 It's another thing I wrote about in my substack.
01:06:44.000 It's like, you've got Nikki Haley and Tim Scott as the favorite son and daughter there.
01:06:51.000 And you've got a state, and DeSantis is going to try to pit people off.
01:06:59.000 And so they're going to try to break his momentum early.
01:07:02.000 And then there's blood in the water.
01:07:04.000 I think that the most important thing right now is just he keeps doing what he's doing.
01:07:09.000 He's putting out He's got tough policy pieces, and he's banned Donald Trump, who is the master communicator.
01:07:18.000 And he will not let his foot off the accelerator this time.
01:07:22.000 I don't think he ever has.
01:07:25.000 And we just got to go forward, Don, like this is a dogfight.
01:07:31.000 And yeah, it's going to waste resources.
01:07:34.000 And, you know, look, these people are...
01:07:36.000 Chris Christie, to me, is like the most despicable person associated now with that primary as a face.
01:07:44.000 Of course, all the money that's behind him and all of the left-wing press and the Fox that puts him on TV all the time, even though he's got like 2% in the polls, it's like, this is what's going to happen.
01:07:59.000 And so, you know, I'm the guy who says...
01:08:02.000 Just keep doing what you're doing.
01:08:05.000 American people are behind you.
01:08:08.000 They understand your message.
01:08:09.000 And the difference between him and people like DeSantis, DeSantis can try to steal.
01:08:14.000 He can try to steal everything that Donald Trump stands for with a speech in New Hampshire like he did in the last week.
01:08:21.000 But people understand that Donald Trump actually did it, and DeSantis doesn't mean it.
01:08:27.000 It's as simple as that.
01:08:28.000 Yeah, they've seen the flip-flops.
01:08:30.000 But that was interesting. You talked about sort of a January surprise, a December surprise.
01:08:34.000 I mean, most of the time, we think of the October surprise in a general election.
01:08:39.000 But you're actually talking about sort of the games that the Republican establishment will try to play in the primary, you know, Not quite, you know, a little less than a year in advance of the general.
01:08:54.000 I mean, break that down a little bit further because, again, we always think of, you know, the October surprise in terms of a general election.
01:08:59.000 But what are your thoughts?
01:09:01.000 What are the games that are going to be played in the primary?
01:09:04.000 Well, let's talk about how the Democrats illegally won the 2020 race.
01:09:11.000 It was lawfare, Don.
01:09:13.000 They went in and over a sustained period of time, like, changed all the rules of Of the game, right?
01:09:20.000 In a way that allowed them to do what I call the grand stuff-the-ballot-box strategy.
01:09:24.000 The analog here is that both Democrats and Republicans are going to try to change the primary rules in ways which are going to take away votes.
01:09:35.000 You know, instead of like a winner-take-all primary, In California, they've tried to do it proportional.
01:09:41.000 It's like California has the largest amount of electoral votes.
01:09:44.000 Those are the kinds of games they're going to play.
01:09:46.000 They're going to come up with new alleged scandals.
01:09:49.000 They're going to come up with new indictments.
01:09:51.000 We've still got the Fulton County folks going.
01:09:54.000 I wouldn't be surprised if the RINOs and the Democrats under Katie Hobbs out in Arizona try some crap.
01:10:02.000 And it's just, it's going to be the proverbial crap storm leading up to then.
01:10:09.000 But what's interesting to me, Don, is like the public, every time this happens, the public sees through it.
01:10:17.000 And I hope they just keep seeing through it and keep getting disgusted, not just with the Democrats, but with these rhino Republicans.
01:10:25.000 I mean, Chris Christie, I mean, that son of a bitch, how dare he?
01:10:30.000 How dare that son of a bitch do what he is doing?
01:10:33.000 I saw him, I remember the last time I saw him Was in the East Wing working on debate preparation with your father.
01:10:43.000 And that son of a bitch was terrible at helping your father.
01:10:46.000 And he's just a lame ass, no good guy who's like taking money from rhinos and just he's on some kind of ego trip.
01:10:57.000 But that's what we're up against.
01:10:59.000 Yeah, and you know this.
01:11:00.000 He says all the things that he's going to do differently.
01:11:03.000 What he doesn't say is that Chris Christie was in charge of the plum book that actually put so many of those rhinos and never-Trumpers In positions of power in the Trump White House.
01:11:14.000 That was his job on the transition committee.
01:11:17.000 So if anyone genuinely thinks he's going to be different, some of the initial, I'll say it, you know, bad hires were because we trusted people like Chris Christie who did have a little bit more inside knowledge and put in those people.
01:11:32.000 That's not Trump. That's on him.
01:11:35.000 You know, there's thousands of people to fill.
01:11:36.000 And so, you know, this notion that he's going to do it differently and better, like, wait a minute, like you're...
01:11:41.000 You're the root cause of half of the crap.
01:11:44.000 It's sort of special to watch.
01:11:47.000 Yeah, a little breaking news for you.
01:11:49.000 I've never really talked about this or haven't talked about it, but I remember during the height of the pandemic when I was trying to get enough masks and thermometers and other PPE and everything.
01:12:04.000 I'm working hard on that.
01:12:07.000 Chris Christie at one point was calling me And he's like a lobbyist pimpin' some kind of client.
01:12:14.000 That's all he was.
01:12:16.000 That's all he is.
01:12:19.000 My favorite moment of Chris Christie is that guy sitting like a whale on the beach.
01:12:29.000 During lockdown, when he's sitting there getting a suntan, when everybody else in New Jersey can't go to the beach, and his poll ratings fall to like 9%.
01:12:40.000 I mean, he's never recovered from that, nor should he.
01:12:44.000 Yeah, no, it's, uh, yeah.
01:12:46.000 You remember that picture? Hey, Peter, some things you can't unsee, unfortunately.
01:12:54.000 So, yeah. No, I remember that picture.
01:12:56.000 It haunts my dreams, but it's my motivation to work out as often as possible, but...
01:13:03.000 So I got one more for you.
01:13:06.000 I got one more for you because there's lots of speculation that Biden's going to be replaced in 2024 somewhere.
01:13:15.000 I mean, I think Biden really, he gives the deep state and the Democrats everything that they want.
01:13:20.000 I mean, it's sort of a useful idiot that way.
01:13:22.000 I mean, he doesn't have to be cognizant.
01:13:25.000 All he has to do is be able to sign a piece of paper that they stick in front of him.
01:13:28.000 But How much incentive is there really to replace him if he's doing the bidding?
01:13:33.000 I think Obama would have wanted to do the things that Joe Biden is doing.
01:13:37.000 He just wasn't willing to destroy his reputation to do so.
01:13:42.000 So I feel like these are almost Obama plans for America, but they could care less about Joe Biden and his legacy.
01:13:51.000 Well, I'm surprised he's lasted this long, but I can explain why.
01:13:57.000 I said early on, even before Biden was inaugurated, that he wouldn't last more than half the time, but it was premised on Kamala Doing a far better, better job than she's even come close to, right?
01:14:18.000 If she were popular and competent, they would have gently nudged him out already.
01:14:27.000 Because the hunter thing, the stumble up the stairs, all of that stuff.
01:14:31.000 But I do think that ultimately...
01:14:36.000 See, the same deep administrative state, Don, that's trying to take your father out will probably turn on Joe and use Hunter as a way to do it.
01:14:48.000 There'll be a deal cut and Hunter will get his pardon and Joe will walk away.
01:14:54.000 And the question then becomes, is it Newsom?
01:14:59.000 Or Michelle or whoever.
01:15:01.000 That's a whole other speculation.
01:15:04.000 All we can do right now is keep doing what we're doing, which is support Donald John Trump with our MAGA Republican agenda, fend off the rhinos, repudiate the Dems, and keep pointing out This dual system of injustice, which I think is really a strong argument right now, particularly to independents who just,
01:15:37.000 I mean, they're just up in arms over this.
01:15:42.000 I'm glad. I lied.
01:15:44.000 That was the second to last one for you.
01:15:48.000 What's your best Trump White House story?
01:15:51.000 You were there with him on a daily basis.
01:15:53.000 You saw the BS that he was being served.
01:15:56.000 You saw his reaction to all of that.
01:15:58.000 What's your sort of best Trump story from your time in the White House that can...
01:16:05.000 Maybe shed a different light to, say, those independents or otherwise, you know, maybe people who are still somewhat open to looking beyond what they see on CNN. Well, look, let me just say generally that one of the things I loved about serving in the White House, which was generally a very arduous kind of existence every day, was Watching your dad hold court in the Oval when we were debating like a critical policy.
01:16:40.000 And he'd have like eight or nine of us around the Resolute desk and he'd have people calling in on the phones and we'd be debating things.
01:16:52.000 And it was like this beautiful symphony orchestra with him as the conductor leading everything and He's so warm and funny to the deplorable people, but at the same time, he could finish people's thoughts and then cut them off and move on to the next person in a heartbeat.
01:17:18.000 That I love.
01:17:19.000 I guess my favorite story is when we went head-to-head The two times with Xi Jinping, the first time, that was in Buenos Aires, and we watched Xi Jinping, the most powerful person in the world, according to him, literally kowtow to President Trump.
01:17:48.000 I mean, it was a thing of beauty.
01:17:49.000 It was like, wow, this is how...
01:17:55.000 The world views Trump because this is who Trump is.
01:18:00.000 This is who you want in the oval.
01:18:03.000 That's the strong part.
01:18:06.000 The funny part was the second time we saw Xi Jinping.
01:18:10.000 We're sitting there, Don, and At one point, your father talks about how the American military basically was responsible to drive the Japanese out of China during World War II. Xi Jinping went ballistic.
01:18:35.000 He just went off on this long rant.
01:18:41.000 All but pounding the table, right?
01:18:43.000 They're like, no, no, no. It's like the brave people.
01:18:45.000 It's like total bullshit, right?
01:18:47.000 Total revisionist history, as they say in China.
01:18:50.000 And the fun part was when we walked out and your dad looks at us and his eyebrows are up and is like, yeah, yeah, that's who that guy is.
01:19:00.000 That's who I thought he was all along.
01:19:02.000 And sure enough, that's who he was.
01:19:05.000 Well, that's awesome, Peter.
01:19:07.000 Well, listen, thank you for what you're doing.
