00:05:49.000 Obviously, he won decisively and won the popular vote.
00:05:53.000 But when you look at the polling, and this was a Fox News poll that came out recently, do you see that this president now has a mandate?
00:06:02.000 Only 42% of voters said yes, they believe he has a mandate.
00:06:07.000 Was Trump's success, or do you think his success was because people really liked Trump, or because it was a rejection of Biden and Harris?
00:06:18.000 A majority said it was a rejection of Biden and Harris.
00:06:20.000 So there are things that they do support.
00:06:23.000 They do believe that he's going to do a better job on immigration.
00:06:26.000 They want him to do that.
00:06:28.000 The country is divided on what that means.
00:06:30.000 And the way we ask that question, I think, is going to be really important about supporting deportations of people who are here illegally.
00:06:38.000 But what they really do want to see is inflation tackled.
00:06:43.000 And what the president is talking about right now, whether it's with tariffs or troops on the border, things like that, that is not necessarily going to help.
00:06:52.000 Immediately with the things that people are the most interested in and why so many people did support him in the first place.
00:06:59.000 And we should say the motorcade has just arrived at the U.S. Capitol.
00:07:03.000 I'm not entirely sure of the camera position there.
00:07:05.000 We may not see President-elect Trump and President Biden get out of the vehicle and make their way into the Capitol.
00:07:11.000 But Tiffany, we heard Amy Walter say that Donald Trump is far more popular than he was eight years ago.

00:07:17.000 Way more prepared for the presidency.
00:07:19.000 Help us understand how he's better positioned to not just articulate but also enact his really ambitious agenda.
00:07:27.000 Well, I was at the inauguration in 2017, and it was an amazing day.

00:07:35.000 Donald Trump was coming in, and everything was new to him.
00:07:38.000 Now he has his cabinet picks.
00:07:40.000 He has his nominees.
00:07:41.000 He's in a strong position.
00:07:43.000 And he understands the mandate that was sent down, that the American people want him to get to work.
00:07:48.000 I believe in these next 100 days, we will start to see his approval ratings rise as he starts to deliver results.

00:07:56.000 You know, creator of Art of the Deal.
00:07:58.000 He knows how to get work done.
00:08:00.000 And that's why the American people sent him there.
00:08:02.000 You know, I think as far as Biden, you know, Trump is coming in to a country with Bidenomics.
00:08:08.000 Perhaps that was a mistake for Biden to label his economic policy Bidenomics because the American people really felt the effects of that.
00:08:17.000 And it's an opportunity for Trump to come in and show what he can deliver.
00:08:20.000 How are his supporters seeing this vast array of executive orders?
00:08:24.000 I've heard anywhere between more than 50 to 100 executive orders that he intends to sign today.
00:08:29.000 Some will be serious and substantive and others will just be conversation starters.
00:08:33.000 What does the MAGA base really make of all that?
00:08:36.000 Yes, well, it's securing our border.
00:08:38.000 And that's another reason why Donald Trump won.
00:08:40.000 We have an open border.
00:08:42.000 Every state is a border state in this country.
00:08:44.000 And so, you know, obviously securing our border, protecting Americans first.
00:08:49.000 And not only that, you know, when you look at the economy, Trump also will deregulate.
00:08:56.000 So small businesses can run and flourish.
00:09:00.000 And as far as tackling inflation and in these executive orders, he will be unleashing American energy independence, which will kickstart, you know, getting a grip on inflation.
00:09:12.000 We're seeing President Biden and President-elect Trump make their way into the Capitol.
00:09:17.000 They are really shepherded by Amy Klobuchar, the senator there who leads the bipartisan group that organizes.
00:09:24.000 These inaugural events.
00:09:27.000 And this is a live look inside the US Capitol.
00:09:30.000 That is Elon Musk, of course, in conversation with another tech leader.
00:09:36.000 We'll continue with live picture inside this room as well.
00:09:39.000 This is, of course, where that swearing-in ceremony will unfold in just a matter of minutes.

00:09:49.000 Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Republican Bob Corker of Tennessee.

00:09:56.000 Senator Corker, let's begin with you.
00:09:59.000 This is, however you look at it, quite a political comeback.
00:10:02.000 For President-elect Donald Trump, four years ago, a very different scene unfolding in that Capitol Rotunda when many of his supporters stormed it violently.
00:10:13.000 What are you thinking about this day?
00:10:15.000 How are you viewing today's proceedings?
00:10:18.000 Well, I'm thinking about the fact that every president wants to be the greatest president in modern history, or at least in their time.
00:10:32.000 It's incredible.
00:10:34.000 Because what makes a great presidency is the context.
00:10:39.000 Where is the world at that juncture?
00:10:41.000 And if you look at the opportunities that exist right now in the Middle East, because of what has happened with Hamas and Hezbollah and Iran and Syria, you look at the tremendous opportunity in Ukraine to come to a settlement, both entities, both Russia and Ukraine, Tired of fighting, and so there's an opportunity to do there that's something that hopefully is great for democracy.
00:11:08.000 You look at China and what's happening within their country.
00:11:12.000 There's just tremendous international opportunities.
00:11:16.000 And then domestically, with the immigration issue, hopefully it'll go beyond just dealing with the borders, but solving the entire issue, which would be...
00:11:26.000 Tremendous economically for our country and put a big issue behind us.
00:11:32.000 Dealing with the other inner issues that have been mentioned, I just think the context is set for the president-elect to be a great president, and the question is, will he rise to that occasion?
00:11:45.000 He has such opportunity for all the reasons you mentioned, the excitement, the fact that Democrats actually, instead of coming in with resentment right now...
00:11:55.000 They're actually realizing that they got it wrong, that they made mistakes, and they're wanting to move a little bit in the direction, more to the center.
00:12:07.000 So it's a great opportunity for our country.
00:12:10.000 It's a great opportunity for him, and hopefully that is what he'll set out to do.
00:12:16.000 We are watching as members of the president's cabinet, his cabinet nominees, and a few others make their way into the...
00:12:24.000 Senator Brown, you heard Senator Corker there say that this is a moment where Democrats are trying to take stock of what they got wrong.
00:12:30.000 Is that how you're viewing this moment?
00:12:31.000 Reflect on the day for us.
00:12:33.000 Yeah, Bob, nice to see you.
00:12:36.000 A great president was one who wants to bring people together.
00:12:41.000 And, you know, the executive orders are fine, and they will make progress on some issues, I assume.
00:12:48.000 But people are unhappy.
00:12:50.000 People voted for Trump in large part.
00:12:52.000 Because they've seen a rigged system against them.
00:12:56.000 They've seen corporate profits go up.
00:12:59.000 They've seen CEO pay go up.
00:13:01.000 Stock buybacks.
00:13:02.000 They've seen their own wages stagnant.
00:13:05.000 They've seen huge numbers of lost industrial jobs.
00:13:09.000 They've seen really since NAFTA. And that sickness has infected our society in terms of lost jobs and lost wages, while the rich get richer and everybody else struggles.
00:13:22.000 And to see a president surrounding himself with California billionaires, I'm hopeful it's an inaugural speech that he talks about substance and talks about workers.
00:13:32.000 He won his campaign in part by talking about workers, but I would suggest one, I would give one example of something he could do.
00:13:40.000 A judge in East Texas, on behalf of the Texas Chamber of Commerce, a Trump judge, one decision, one judge, about six weeks ago, made a ruling on overtime that took away overtime from four million workers across the country.
00:13:56.000 The president could fix that.
00:13:57.000 And if he really, I mean, politics isn't left to right.
00:14:01.000 I don't think it's a middle matter of Democrats moving to the center or whatever.
00:14:05.000 It's who's siding on.
00:14:06.000 And I want to see a president who just doesn't talk that game, but actually walks that walk and stands up for workers in making their lives better.

00:14:23.000 President Biden, on his way out, was warning about this tech oligarchy.

00:14:30.000 You see Elon Musk, who has taken on a very prominent role for this incoming administration as well.
00:14:36.000 There's sort of a lot of ideas bumping up against each other in this moment.

00:14:40.000 And I think, as we've been hearing, the question will be not just what will President Trump say in his inaugural address today about that.
00:14:49.000 Will he address any of these contradictions?

00:14:53.000 We assume he's going to focus on the positive.
00:14:56.000 But, you know, as Tiffany was saying, these first hundred days are an opportunity for him to make a difference.
00:15:02.000 But squaring the circle when it comes to coming to a hard, solid agreement on government spending, that's a tough one.
00:15:10.000 Coming to the details of immigration, these are hard questions that he, that Republican leaders, Republican members are going to be dealing with.
00:15:22.000 We're about celebrating.
00:15:23.000 We're about appreciating.
00:15:25.000 But the hard work starts tomorrow.

00:15:32.000 Tiffany, help us understand the significance of that, because the two men, Pence and Trump, had not spoken directly, had not interacted since the funeral a few weeks ago for the late President Jimmy Carter.
00:15:44.000 Well, I think it's significant that he is there and just showing support and solidarity as a country.
00:15:49.000 We are the United States of America.
00:15:51.000 We're the best country in the world because of our people.
00:15:54.000 And so he is showing that he is there in support of President Trump and moving forward.
00:16:00.000 I'm grateful for Vice President Pence's service and everything that he has given and served our country with dignity and honor.
00:16:09.000 But it's also time to move forward.
00:16:12.000 And President Trump is ready to do that.
00:16:17.000 He's made that very clear.
00:16:18.000 But it's significant, and I think it shows just the unity of the party.
00:16:25.000 And the opportunity going forward.
00:16:27.000 We see a live picture there seated in front of President-elect Trump's nominees for his cabinet.
00:16:33.000 There are Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Sundar Pichai, and Elon Musk.
00:16:38.000 I understand Lisa Desjardins, who's reporting for us on Capitol Hill right now, has a little bit more to share in terms of the logistics of how this is all going to play out.

00:16:47.000 Yeah, how are you?
00:16:53.000 Hi, guys.
00:16:54.000 You know, I think I've just lost my connection with you, but I'll tell you just a couple of things going on here at the Capitol.
00:17:00.000 One thing, with the changed footprint here, with moving the ceremony indoors, there is actually an entirely separate viewing area that has been moved into the Capitol Visitor Center, which is an underground facility.
00:17:13.000 I went by there this morning, and we understand that President-elect Trump, after inauguration, plans to go by there.
00:17:22.000 Tickets for outdoors will be able to sit and watch the speech, and then he will give remarks, we understand, down there after his inaugural address.
00:17:31.000 Obviously, very coveted positioning there.
00:17:33.000 I also want to talk about Democrats.
00:17:35.000 You may notice, as you're looking up in the rotunda there, you may see some purple colors.
00:17:41.000 Democrats tell me that several of them are wearing those colors because it is the color that Hillary Clinton wore when she conceded, that Kamala Harris wore a kind of purple.
00:17:51.000 of purple shade when she conceded.
00:17:53.000 And to them, they say it's a color of both bipartisanship.
00:17:55.000 And one, frankly, told me it's the color of mourning.
00:17:58.000 Republicans were looking for those red colors.
00:18:00.000 The Trump red is very well known up there.
00:18:03.000 But one other note, you know, this is a working building.
00:18:06.000 We do expect some business today.
00:18:08.000 today, we do expect votes in committee on two Trump nominees, Pete Hegseth as Department of Defense and Marco Rubio for Secretary of State.
00:18:17.000 The Rubio vote may actually get through the entire Senate today.
00:18:21.000 That is the hope for Republicans, that there will be a Secretary of State confirmed today as well.
00:18:26.000 And one last note, that rotunda is such an incredible space.
00:18:30.000 It is hollowed ground for anyone that's ever been there.
00:18:32.000 And, you know, I looked this up.
00:18:34.000 It was finished in 1824, so just about the 200th anniversary for this occasion.
00:18:39.000 And you'll notice the presidents around President-elect Trump as he is sworn in.

00:18:47.000 David Brooks, one of the things I'm struck by watching all of this unfold in that beautiful space, as Lisa rightly notes, is Donald Trump's resilience.
00:18:55.000 I think most people, if you were to ask them at the end of the day on January 6th, 2021, would Donald Trump be re-elected?
00:19:02.000 I think most people would have said no.
00:19:04.000 Here are former President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, making their way in.
00:19:09.000 The fact that Donald Trump...
00:19:10.000 Was not just re-elected, but survived two impeachments, two assassination attempts, four criminal trials, one conviction, and yet he's on his way to take the oath of office as the 47th president.
00:19:21.000 The sweep is just remarkable.
00:19:23.000 It's a life lesson.
00:19:23.000 You go back to Richard Nixon's career, the guy was counted out for dead a million times, and it's the same with Donald Trump.
00:19:29.000 He had some help from the Democrats.
00:19:29.000 I think the trials and the indictments helped him.
00:19:31.000 There were other things that helped him.
00:19:32.000 But he kept going.
00:19:34.000 And he's in control of the party.
00:19:35.000 The thing I'm looking for today is, is this an electoral monarchy or is it an ideological movement?
00:19:41.000 And what I mean by electoral monarchy, and this is what happens, say, in Turkey, in El Salvador, and other countries, you elect a person and they're all about themselves.
00:19:48.000 It's transactional.
00:19:49.000 They'll flip-flop policies if they feel it'll help them.
00:19:52.000 And we've seen Trump do that on H-1B visas, on TikTok, things like that.
00:19:56.000 And that's what all the tech bogals are hoping for.
00:19:58.000 An ideological movement.
00:20:00.000 It's more what Steve Miller wants, or Steve Bannon wants.
00:20:03.000 And it's all about the ideology, it's all about the populism, it's about the nationalism.
00:20:08.000 And I'm looking for indications, what kind of president are we going to get?
00:20:11.000 Well, let's talk about that with Laura Barone-Lopez, as we see a picture there, former President Bush, First Lady Laura Bush making their way in, members of the Trump family now, and here now is former President Barack Obama.
00:20:22.000 Walking into the Capitol as well.
00:20:25.000 Laura, as you watch all of this unfold as well, we think back to Mr. Trump's first inaugural address.
00:20:31.000 The phrase that stood out that stayed with everyone has been this idea of American carnage.
00:20:35.000 We've heard that this will be more of a message of unity.
00:20:38.000 What do we expect to hear?
00:20:43.000 That's right, Amna.
00:20:44.000 The president-elect is expected to give a much more unifying tone.
00:20:49.000 The incoming administration says that he views this moment very differently than he viewed his election.
00:20:58.000 in 2016 and ultimately when he was elected in 2016 and entered the White House after that election he was met with a much larger resistance and viewed and was also much more amenable to establishment Republicans many of whom He resisted him much more back then.
00:21:21.000 This time around, he very much has the Republican Party around him.
00:21:25.000 He feels as though he has much more control and support across that Republican Party.
00:21:30.000 You don't see as many of the Republicans in office anymore that were willing to stand up to him, whether it's Mitt Romney or the late John McCain.
00:21:38.000 And so this is a very different moment for the incoming President Trump, who really considers himself to have a mandate.
00:21:47.000 Despite the fact that there is some polling recently from AP that shows that voters don't necessarily support mass deportations.
00:21:55.000 They support the deportations of...
00:21:57.000 Immigrants who have committed violent crimes, who have committed crimes, but going beyond into wider deportations, which we expect the president-elect to do because they have forecasted that and so has his borders are Tom Homan, that may be something that the wider American public doesn't necessarily support according to polling.
00:22:17.000 That being said...
00:22:19.000 Given the calls this morning with White House officials, this administration is expected to launch what they call the biggest deportation effort in history.
00:22:29.000 And they are cracking down not just on illegal immigration, but also legal immigration.
00:22:35.000 And in those executive orders that we talked about a little bit earlier, another one that they are going to issue today is they are suspending refugee admissions for at least four months.
00:22:45.000 So that's a crackdown on legal immigration, Amna.
00:22:49.000 Kevin Madden, as folks have been instructed to take their seats there, we were seeing the tech billionaires, the head of Apple, the head of Google, Elon Musk there standing.
00:23:00.000 You see Mark Zuckerberg, head of Meta, standing amid Mr. Trump's cabinet nominees.
00:23:04.000 For people who voted for Donald Trump because they were concerned about the price of groceries, they were concerned about the affordability crisis.
00:23:11.000 How does this tableau strike the American people, do you think?
00:23:15.000 Well, I think there may be a little bit of a disconnect, but you have to remember that so many of the president's supporters are always happy to support anybody who has similar alliance with Donald Trump and his agenda than they do.
00:23:28.000 I think also, look, a lot of Trump supporters will point out to you that Joe Biden and the Democrats were perfectly happy and thrilled to have the support of Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk when he was supporting Democrats.
00:23:44.000 So I think, you know, that hypocrisy, I think, will be something that fuels a lot of the president's supporters, as well as his allies on Capitol Hill.
00:23:54.000 And I think they're much more focused now on, again, the determination.
00:23:59.000 And what's even better?
00:24:00.000 While the ceremony and the swearing-in won't be outside for everyone to watch, you gotta remember, Donald Trump will be the president during the 250th anniversary of America.
00:24:12.000 And that's the guy who's gonna be in charge.
00:24:14.000 So I imagine while the weather may be like 40-year lows.
00:24:18.000 No one's gonna do it better than him.
00:24:20.000 So, my father's story and the story of the MAGA movement is a profound one of courage and perseverance.
00:24:30.000 We talked about it being so resilient.
00:24:32.000 It just goes on and on.
00:24:34.000 What was once thought to be unimaginable, guys, is now undeniable and unforgettable.
00:24:41.000 So, as you watch today, guys, as you watch the swearing-in ceremony, remember that you guys were just as much a part of it as any of us.
00:24:51.000 You guys are why we did it.
00:24:53.000 You guys are who helped create it.
00:24:56.000 You guys are going to be the beneficiaries of it.
00:24:59.000 That's the way it's supposed to be.
00:25:00.000 And you should be proud of that.
00:25:02.000 There was a swamp here in Washington, D.C. that no one ever thought could be drained, but if there's ever a chance, This is it.
00:25:12.000 This isn't about them, though.
00:25:13.000 This is about us.
00:25:14.000 And it's about what we can achieve if we stick to our core mission of making America great again.

00:27:07.000 I hope the people around him and himself will focus on those things, those big things that our country needs to focus on, and not be diverted into some of the petty disruption for disruption's sake, going after people.
00:27:25.000 I hope it'll be about moving ahead, and if so...
00:27:28.000 What an opportunity he has.
00:27:30.000 A number of opportunities await.
00:27:32.000 A number of crises, too.
00:27:34.000 I want to draw on your experience, Senator Corker, as the former chairman of Senate Foreign Relations.
00:27:38.000 I mean, crises from Sudan to the Middle East to Ukraine as we watch members of the Trump family make their way into the Capitol.
00:27:44.000 Is President Trump's traditionally isolationist worldview, is it prepared to meet the moment, do you think?
00:27:52.000 Well, certainly it's prepared to meet the moment in Israel, right?
00:27:56.000 And in the Middle East.
00:27:58.000 I think it is prepared to meet at the moment.
00:28:00.000 Let's face it.
00:28:01.000 Look, we had our differences.
00:28:03.000 I will say the Abraham Accord set the context for very good things to happen.
00:28:08.000 And the Arabs and Israel are in a different place.
00:28:11.000 Hezbollah, as I mentioned before, and Hamas are in a different place.
00:28:15.000 I think in Ukraine and Russia, as mentioned earlier, they're both tired of fighting.
00:28:20.000 And if he...
00:28:22.000 Can bring himself to create an arrangement there that's good for Ukraine and democracy, good for Europe and the U.S. Gosh, what an incredible undertaking that will be.
00:28:34.000 And I think that through the relationship that he's attempting to have with Xi...

00:28:42.000 So those are going to be dealt with regardless of his isolationist view, right?
00:28:47.000 They are going to be dealt with.
00:28:49.000 And so look, I'm hopeful.
00:28:53.000 Look, I'm not electable, I'm sure, but I'd love to be coming in.
00:28:59.000 I'd love to be coming into the world today as President of the United States with the opportunities.
00:29:06.000 That we have before us.
00:29:08.000 What a great opportunity for him to take advantage of.
00:29:11.000 Senator Brown, can I get you to weigh in here as you've heard what Senator Corker has to say in terms of what we could be hearing from President-elect Trump, whether or not he takes advantage of this opportunity to address all Americans and set a maybe different tone than he did back in 2017. What are your thoughts?
00:29:29.000 I'm hopeful.
00:29:30.000 I'm always hopeful.
00:29:31.000 And I also am a realist.
00:29:35.000 You know, I saw a president who, clearly a wing of the Republican Party, now captured by President Trump, clearly almost not even debatable, sided with Putin.
00:29:47.000 I mean, clearly it was pretty stunning to see a major political party support the Russian leader and essentially betray Ukraine.
00:29:55.000 I saw Ukrainian Americans in Ohio who historically voted Republican that were pretty stunned by Trump's In France's view on Ukraine.
00:30:06.000 And so I'm hopeful that Trump is willing to stand up to Putin.
00:30:10.000 But if it's a deal that betrays Ukraine, then it's a troublesome thing.
00:30:17.000 And when you look at some of Trump's nominees on foreign policy issues, but I go back, Bob's specialty was foreign affairs.
00:30:25.000 In the Senate, I think that's fair to say.
00:30:27.000 Mine, I was scared of the Banking Housing Committee.
00:30:29.000 Mine is more domestic.
00:30:31.000 Both of us, of course, did both things.
00:30:33.000 But I'm really concerned about the billionaires around this president as he pursues more tax cuts for the rich, as he pursues an agenda that really deregulates consumer protections and worker safety rules and the overtime rule and all that.
00:30:49.000 So while I'm hopeful, I need to be convinced.

00:33:54.000 Every time the Clintons or President Obama show up on screen, you just hear this whole crowd erupt in boos.
00:34:01.000 It's interesting because they're watching the same live feed that our viewers are getting, but on a jumbotron.
00:34:07.000 And, of course, you hear Sweet Caroline and Neil Diamond, so now it's become an impromptu karaoke session.
00:34:12.000 I did want to talk a little bit on about just the contrast between, you know, what we hear your guests talking about as far as specifics and policy and what we hear when we speak to Trump attendees at events like this.

00:34:33.000 You know, they bring up things like the economy.
00:34:35.000 You know, we interviewed one man whose son just had a baby and he said he's struggling.
00:34:41.000 And they believe that the last four years have been all doom and gloom and that Trump will deliver them and bring them more economic security.

00:34:52.000 They really wanted me to name their hometown, who said they're, quote, tired of the pronouns.
00:34:58.000 They're tired of the ideological debates over transgenderism.

00:35:07.000 And then a few people, including former veterans, who like...
00:35:12.000 President Trump's strongman persona.
00:35:15.000 One man who kind of twisted Theodore Roosevelt's phrase about speaking softly with a big stick and said what he loves about Trump is he speaks loudly with a big stick.

00:35:35.000 I mean, you hear that over and over again with people you speak to in his base, that whatever their problem might be, fears of public safety, concerns about their own family and drug addiction, concerns about their financial security and inflation, that they believe and they have so much faith that President Trump can cure all these ills.
00:35:57.000 And that extends as far as veterans that believe he can bring So that's kind of the vibe here.
00:36:03.000 They don't speak about specific policies.

00:37:22.000 Members of the cabinet, the Supreme Court justices, very cordial, very in the spirit of upholding the traditions and customs of the peaceful transfer of power.

00:37:38.000 The incoming president's supporters react in real time with cheers and boos for the people they like or don't like.
00:37:49.000 And it made me think of something that Susan Page told me yesterday when I interviewed her on my show.
00:37:53.000 She said, Donald Trump hasn't changed.
00:37:58.000 Washington has changed.
00:37:59.000 And we've been talking around that in terms of, well, there's a Republican House, a Republican Senate.
00:38:04.000 But really, this town, Washington, has changed.
00:38:09.000 And, you know, to Senator Corker's point, it does give the president-elect...
00:38:14.000 An opportunity to make good on the promises that he made.
00:38:18.000 It's just a matter of, will he grab that opportunity?

00:38:22.000 I remember back at the convention in Milwaukee, when it was right after Trump's, the first assassination attempt, and everyone, members of Congress, coming on and saying, he's a changed man.

00:38:39.000 And that was the case the first 20 minutes, and then it went off the rails.

00:39:28.000 And it also, listening to former Senator Corker reminded of the conversations that probably a lot of us had on these panels, Republicans saying, just stick to the economy.

00:39:44.000 Don't talk about going after your enemies.
00:39:46.000 Just focus on the things people care about.
00:39:49.000 And he would do that, and then he would move off of.

00:39:54.000 So I think we're going to see, maybe we may see a very different Donald Trump at this inaugural speech versus what he shows at the convention center slash parade later this afternoon.

00:40:10.000 Yeah, well, first I want to say I'm disappointed there are more tech billionaires.
00:40:15.000 Tim Cook, Jeff Bezos.
00:40:17.000 I actually think the tech billionaires have a positive influence on him because on tariffs, on H-1B visas, I like the influence they're going to have.
00:40:26.000 Nonetheless, as Jeff mentioned, it's not okay that they're up there.

00:40:30.000 They should not be intermingled with the cabinet.
00:40:33.000 That's a blurring of lines between public service and private interest.
