00:09:23.000And joining me now, the founder of Publish PR, host of Dangerous Laughter, the podcast, and author of the new book, The Curse of the Bearded Lady How the Trans Mafia Whacked American Sanity.
00:09:41.000This is always a funny show for those who haven't seen AJ yet.
00:09:44.000He cranks out the books, but they're good and he sells them with a lot of humor, which I appreciate as someone who likes to talk a lot of smack and have some fun in the process of the kind of dreariness of politics.
00:10:32.000I saw that it was like an $8 million contract, which seems kind of cheap for LeBron, but maybe it's the later years and it's just a little different and it's not quite.
00:10:44.000So for those of you who don't understand the backstory of my sort of gripe with Philadelphia sports teams, I grew up in New York.
00:10:51.000Uh, so it, you know, obviously you already had a bit of a rivalry, but then I went to boarding school from eighth grade on, you know, about an hour outside of Philadelphia, and then I went to Penn in Philadelphia.
00:11:02.000So, like, you know, by the time I was 18, I had spent half my life in Pennsylvania.
00:11:08.000Uh, you know, like, but I spent nine years of, you know, let's call it almost half, but like nine years of my life, uh, you know, in Pennsylvania.0.99
00:11:15.000So it was a long time, and like being a New York guy in Philadelphia, like, I took an undue level of shit.0.97
00:11:22.000Now, it's actually kind of good because it was like, Sometimes you know, growing up, like every kid probably needs to get their ass kicked a lot, and I probably got an undue amount of it, uh, perhaps too much, but it worked.0.99
00:11:32.000Yeah, that's that's why I always talk crap about Philly.0.94
00:11:34.000Well, you know, when you spend that amount of time, and we got all kinds of people now that the Eagles are good or the Phillies are good, they spend five minutes in Philadelphia.0.90
00:12:09.000It's just like, you know, and by the way, you know, I don't know whether to like be upset or impressed, but the Philly fans do take like the hate to a whole new level.
00:12:18.000Like when they throw batteries, you know, it's not like, you know, it's not like you're throwing bread or a tomato or something like that.
00:12:24.000I mean, they throw batteries at the other, you know, that's the commitment to hate is impressive.
00:12:30.000We learned it all from Ben Franklin flipping off George III in 1776, and it's all been downhill since then.
00:12:37.000I mean, we invented the country, we invented the Marines, and then we invented snowballs at Santa Claus and flipping off little kids in general.
00:12:46.000And like since the 1770s, 1780s, it hasn't been a lot, but the cheesesteak is legit.
00:15:17.000The curse of the bearded lady comes from?
00:15:19.000And was there a single moment that made you say, I got to write this one?
00:15:24.000Yeah, I mean, I've got three books The Woking Dead, The White Privilege album, which pretty much predicted that the Southern Poverty Law Center and the very fine people were being paid.0.93
00:15:52.000And I was just thinking to myself, you know, I just cannot ignore the fact that we are inside of this psychodrama with the Democrats, that they, with very few exceptions, Fetterman, Marr, maybe Stephen A. Smith,0.52
00:16:08.000very few of them have learned the lesson that believing in the 72 genders, and it sounds like they're going to continue doing this in midterms, in the next presidential election, that the curse of the bearded lady.
00:16:21.000Is the capturing of the Democrat Party and their inability to move on this topic?0.70
00:16:28.000It sounds like they're going to go down with the bearded lady as the captain of the ship.0.89
00:16:36.000And the other thing, Don, is that the more I examined, you know, look, one of the definitions of comedy is the ability to transform horror into humor.
00:16:47.000You know, humor, comedy, satire acts as a pressure valve on society.
00:16:53.000And in some ways, it acts as a public audit.
00:16:56.000Which is why people get so pissed off about your dad because he audits them in freaking real time.
00:17:03.000And they've never been able to handle it.0.89
00:17:06.000And, you know, he's given other people a little bit of lightning in their balls to do it too, you know, on our side.0.97
00:17:13.000And the thing with me is that you just can't ignore the fact that many of these terror attacks that have been happening domestically have been happening either at the hands of a non binary or a trans person.0.95
00:17:30.000They're not sure they're trans, but they love a lot of trans people.
00:17:34.000Look, and you'll appreciate this because you were friends with him, and I worked with Sergio on two of the books.
00:17:42.000And the reality is, the last thing I put into this book, which I called an intermezzo, it's like halfway through the book here, Remembering Charlie Kirk.
00:17:51.000And this was the last thing slipped in about a year ago now
00:17:57.000because we had evidence once again.0.79
00:18:00.000Contrary to all the Alice in Wonderland freaking nonsense that we've now heard for months and months and months, that this was once again someone that sympathized with and looks to be a member of what I call the trans mafia.0.82
00:18:24.000But I mean, the reality is that if a bunch of like Irish Catholic nuns from Idaho were going around doing this stuff, the media would breathlessly be covering it.0.99
00:18:34.000We'd have important discussions and CNN conversations and docudramas and this and that.0.98
00:18:41.000When in reality, is no one apparently can connect the dots here.
00:19:57.000And even on Twitter, I'd see people like commenting and they'd be like, oh no, I can't believe I agree with Don Jr. on any, literally anything.
00:20:06.000Like, I hate him so much, but he's right about this one.
00:20:09.000And so, like, I knew it wasn't real because even the ardent leftists didn't buy into it.0.95
00:20:13.000And yet, I think what you did a great job with in the book is you framed the trans movement as a mafia, right?
00:20:21.000Which it is because you wonder, like, how is it that?0.89
00:20:24.000You know, hey, the gay rights, they've totally taken over that side.0.81
00:20:29.000And yet it's like 0.02% of the population.0.98
00:20:32.000It's such a small group that punches so far above its weight class.
00:20:36.000And so you frame it like a mafia, complete with bosses, enforcers, hits.
00:21:15.000He doesn't come from a family of dummies.
00:21:17.000He may be a left wing guy, and he was a bit of an enforcer himself, he was not a great mayor of Chicago, but he is smart enough to know that there used to be a triangulation that Democrats used to do to try to.0.55
00:21:31.000At least appear on the surface to have some kind of values that blue collar workers care about, that the nuclear family cares about.
00:21:40.000So he decides to go on this show with this woman that looks like she got hit, you know, by the ugly stick, who's named Jennifer Welch, right?
00:21:51.000And he's on there and he's talking about we need to worry more about jobs and the economy and gas prices and all these things and stop worrying about who's going into different bathrooms.0.55
00:22:27.000Like, you know, taxpayer funded transgender surgeries for three year olds without parental consent is probably not the social justice issue of our time.
00:23:16.000You know, D Wade, LeBron's buddy, LeBron's girlfriend, you know, he's got a trans son and he's got her in a dress, and Will Smith's got one.
00:23:27.000Everyone in Hollywood has at least, it feels like at least one, sometimes two, which also seems to, like, I don't know, like as a basic student of like statistics and mathematics, like I did a lot of that, like, doesn't seem possible.
00:23:41.000Like, how is it that just Hollywood and, you know, the, let's call it the social elites, Have such a disproportionate level.
00:23:48.000It's almost like they're creating, it's like an Hermes bag or something like that for a woman.
00:24:45.000And that's what you and I are doing.1.00
00:24:46.000We're doing a cultural autopsy, not a medical one.
00:24:49.000And the reality is that these athletes and Hollywood people, I was watching Ann Hathaway give some speech about cisgendered this and, you know, the trans revolves around the sun, and I don't even know what she's talking about.
00:25:24.000And I don't say that because, again, I'm a doctor.
00:25:26.000I'm saying that because, like, Literally every medical journal up until about, you know, seven, eight years ago classified it literally as a mental illness for decades.
00:25:36.000And so, you know, it's easy cannon fodder for guys like us to have some fun with it.
00:25:40.000But like some of these people are just truly sick.
00:25:46.000And we're all, look, you know, live and let live and all the rest of it.
00:25:50.000You and I have talked about that in the past.
00:25:52.000You know, I'm not out there, you know, hunting down this one and that one.
00:25:57.000When you start involving children, you start.
00:25:59.000You know, getting involved in custody disputes where you've got, you know, a father, you know, basically converting a child without the mother's permission or whatever's happening.
00:26:10.000I mean, I just, and look, the curse of this whole thing is the fact that the Democrats can't shake it.
00:26:36.000And if there was any other pattern, if Rice and Trump were robbing the 7 Elevens of America and people were dressing up like Don and I, Right, and believe me, if people were wearing MAGA hats and doing it or anything else, yeah,
00:28:27.000I mean, it absolutely should be that.1.00
00:28:30.000And why I lead the book with that quote from Kindergarten Cop from the little kid, the little four year old that looks up at Schwarzenegger and he says, Boys have a penis and girls have a vagina.0.99
00:28:40.000I mean, it's just about as simple as it gets, right, Don?0.99
00:29:05.000Yeah, I think you're on to something there.
00:29:06.000I mean, there are certain words that the consultant class is going to tell the left to not use, right?
00:29:14.000So they're going to try to shake that.
00:29:17.000They're going to try all different ways to not use the term woke.
00:29:23.000Or get away from the social justice warrior stuff and try to pivot it to try to look not insane.
00:29:32.000The problem is that the Democrat Party in general have this socialist laboratory of radicals where they have all these different types of totalitarian flavors of ice cream growing in the lab.
00:29:46.000Yes, it's the trans mafia, it's the radical anti Israel crowd, right?
00:29:53.000It's the Black Lives Matter people, it's the Antifa people.0.80
00:30:44.000You know, frankly, the American people rejected, you know, the trans mafia at the ballot box, but the psychiatric hospital remains open for business.0.98
00:30:54.000And, you know, why didn't the election sort of finally settle it?
00:30:58.000Why are, you know, why have they not learned very clearly that, like, you know, even the woke mom whose entire existence, you know, sort of, you know, the spoiled suburban sort of housewife whose entire existence revolves around, like, just virtue signaling, like, Right.
00:32:51.000Here's the thing, though, and even some of our friends, I guess, or former friends, or people that have lost their mind on the right, every criticism still is the criticism of a political figure.
00:33:07.000Still, I've said this, I mean, you know this, you live it every day.
00:33:11.000Now, I met your dad through osmosis by listening to talk radio in the early 90s and mid 90s, we've talked about it.
00:33:19.000You know, he's on with Howard and other people.
00:34:12.000But the big flavors, the big moves, and even people on the right that are now telling their audience, I'm no longer this and I'm no longer that.
00:34:20.000These are people that went out and they either did one of two things they told their audience to vote for him three times in a row, which has never been done.
00:36:05.000Like, I've worked pretty hard to try to help my father out as best as possible.0.99
00:36:09.000And more importantly, like, anyone who's ever met Trump, like, if you actually disagreed with what I was saying, like, he'd probably call and be like, hey, man, shut the fuck up.0.99
00:38:17.000But I also am the publicist for a lot of people and I give advice and I tell them, look, you know, you're going to go out there and ring that bell.
00:38:27.000You might, there might not be coming back from this, you know, and some people, I guess, because they live in a silo, they're okay with it.
00:38:38.000But at the same time, I just see a lot of people that all, you know, now that Trump can't run again, it's time to, you know, do a pivot and, you know, act like, or try to go back to the old ways, which so many in the DC, you know, ecosystem, you know, like, okay,
00:38:54.000you know, we kick the can down the road long enough.
00:38:55.000Let's just get back to a way because they can function well in that world.
00:38:59.000And, you know, that's their belief system, but it's not the belief system of, you know, average Americans.
00:39:03.000And I mean, we're, frankly, we're seeing the insanity on every issue.
00:39:06.000I mean, especially from the Democrats, but Democrats are literally, they're using different voices and accents, you know, depending on who the audience is.
00:39:15.000I mean, they want, you know, government grocery stores.
00:39:25.000I mean, You know, what do you make of all of it?
00:39:27.000Because, you know, again, there's I understand doubling down better than anyone.
00:39:31.000You know, we've done a lot of it, but it's like on things that are common sense, I get it.
00:39:37.000When you're doubling down on things that no objective individual could ever say, hey, there's a rational reason for this, what's the end game?
00:42:01.000just overdoing it on everything because they've got this character, this squad endorsed guy in the primary.
00:42:12.000And I think they're trying to fool, at least the Democrat establishment, they're trying to fool the blue collar workers in Michigan because I saw even Gretchen Whitmer came out and she endorsed.
00:42:24.000This woman, this congresswoman who's running.
00:42:27.000And I think that's what they're trying to do because they are scared to death.
00:43:15.000How much of the trans stuff is being funded by China?
00:43:18.000Because if you're running a psyop against a country and you can take a youth group and make them literally mentally insane, that seems like one of the great psyops of all time against your enemies.0.77
00:43:37.000They're trying to buy up farmland around our military bases, and they've got birth motels in California.
00:43:44.000But something your dad did in his first term, and Pompeo as well implemented it, is that these college campuses had these things on them called Confucian Institutes.0.69
00:43:55.000They called them that, but it was really a Mao Zedong Institute.0.61
00:43:59.000It was really the AOC Institute to get these.0.98
00:44:09.000There probably is some Middle Eastern money flowing, doing something similar.
00:44:15.000And not just to college campuses, but to media companies and all the rest of it.0.61
00:44:20.000But I think when it comes to the Democrat fake out and them putting on different accents, I mean, even Obama, if you watch that, there's this classic Key and Peel skit.
00:44:34.000Where they're pretending to be Obama, right?
00:44:36.000And Obama's going up to all the white guys.
00:44:51.000And what's funny, to bring it back to LeBron, Obama was at a Las Vegas Summer League NBA league about two years ago.
00:45:02.000And I think the All Star, it was when the Summer Olympics were happening in Paris.
00:45:07.000And our team with LeBron and others, D Wade and Kevin Durant and the rest of them, they were practicing in Vegas and he went to watch one of them.0.96
00:45:15.000And what's funny is he comes in and he's dapping LeBron and he's dapping all the black players.
00:45:22.000And then there's like the white owners are there and the white gentleman and he's shaking their hands.0.51
00:45:27.000It was like he was reliving the Key and Peel skit.0.97
00:46:13.000You know, he's talking down to them and he's basically saying, you know, I'm worried that the black males in the room aren't going to vote for Kamala because she's a woman.
00:46:22.000And he tries to play the, but she's black.0.89
00:46:26.000So basically, race Trump, you know, Trump's gender to them.
00:46:30.000But it never dawns on him that maybe these African American males in Pittsburgh are looking at him with his Netflix deal and all the rest of it.
00:46:39.000And they're thinking to themselves, you know what?
00:46:42.000It was better under Trump than it was the eight years prior under you.
00:47:24.000Was it just the consequence of calling it out and there were enough powerful voices willing to do it?
00:47:29.000How did they capture all of these institutions?
00:47:32.000Because it's so far gone from where like a rational person would be.
00:47:36.000And yet they did do it, they did a great job with it.
00:47:39.000Well, some of these institutions, so the railroad tracks of Marxism and the economic systems of socialism and what one would consider, you know, postmodernism or, you know, You know, certain types of philosophies,
00:47:55.000they were already rooted in academia, the media, the entertainment business, the new, you know, journalism, and parts of the Democrat Party.
00:48:06.000You know, in the past, you could kind of laugh Bernie Sanders off as just this, you know, Bolshevik kook that's, you know, drying his underwear on the radiator.0.58
00:48:15.000But the reality is that the railroad tracks of where the trans mafia train and the social justice warrior train, those tracks were there.0.69
00:48:26.000And they've been there 100 years and they get different, you know, the wolf wears different clothing sometimes.0.83
00:48:32.000So it was a natural fit to go from pure, you know, economic Marxism or, you know, social justice of the 60s, right?
00:48:44.000Which started to take different forms with the Black Panther movement.0.83
00:48:49.000I mean, it's almost like you've got this Marxist Christmas tree and it gets decorated with different things.0.94
00:48:55.000So the latest decoration is the trans mafia, is the bearded lady.1.00
00:49:00.000You know, the bearded lady comes in, you think it's Santa Claus, he turns around, it's the bearded lady, right?1.00
00:49:06.000It's a jolly fat guy in a suit, but it's rainbow.
00:49:10.000And the reality is that it was a natural fit for them because the places where the Democrats have their power Hollywood, we talked about the celebrities that are trans and their kids, different aspects of sports, yes, for sure,
00:50:08.000And it's, look, it's one of those, you know, Ever since I was young, I always wanted to be a transter, to quote the good fellas, right?0.99
00:50:15.000I mean, it's just, it's, it, they show up.1.00
00:50:19.000They, they show up, they, they do the old trick.
00:50:25.000And, you know, up until the 2024 election, which I think was like a woke Waterloo moment, I mean, don't get me wrong, Kid Rock and his AR 15 did some damage.
00:50:36.000And, you know, using humor to show how absurd this stuff is does work.
00:51:16.000I mean, you know, It always has worked.
00:51:19.000And it's, I mean, going back to ancient Greece, coming all the way forward to Dice and Rickles and Shane Gillis and everyone else in between, George Carlin and Richard Pryor.
00:51:30.000I mean, look at what Chappelle has done.
00:51:33.000I mean, a couple sane liberal people, whether it's Marr or Stephen A. Smith or Chappelle, Ricky Gervais, all it took was a couple of them and the glass house shattered.1.00
00:51:46.000They couldn't protect this shit anymore.0.99
00:51:48.000They couldn't, they couldn't, you know, they didn't have enough.1.00
00:51:52.000Bearded ladies to encircle the rainbow kingdom to do this.1.00
00:51:56.000And quite frankly, there's a lot of just regular.1.00
00:52:01.000I have a chapter here called What Happened to the Regular Gays?0.99
00:52:05.000No, by the way, if you want to say tension, it's the regular gays versus the trans.0.96
00:52:09.000Because, like, they can't stand each other at this point because the gays are like, hey, man, we actually fought for like 50 years to get like some semblance of equality.1.00
00:52:19.000And, like, they did and they should.0.93
00:52:21.000And yet now they're looking at the trans guys and saying, they don't want equality.
00:52:50.000Yeah, but they got canceled too for it, right?
00:52:52.000Like, I remember, you know, Martina Navratilova, the great female tennis player.
00:52:56.000She was friends with my mom back, you know, in the 80s and stuff like that.
00:52:59.000She went pretty woke, but like, She was, you know, one of the great female athletes of all time.
00:53:03.000And she was like a pro LGBT person from like 1980.
00:53:09.000So, like, you know, before it was cool, before it got you, like, it got you somewhere, when, you know, when there was really, you know, some negative connotation and there was a risk and there was consequence.
00:53:20.000And it was like, and she basically said, like, yeah, it's ridiculous that men would play in women's sports.
00:53:31.000And like, The trans mafia canceled her.
00:53:35.000You had all these, she was on the board of all these LGBTs, probably just LGB before it went full crazy with the T and all the other letters afterwards.
00:53:46.000And they're denouncing her and they're revoking her awards of 30, 40 years of service to the cause.0.80
00:53:55.000And it was like, holy shit, if they can cancel her, they'll cancel anyone.0.98
00:54:00.000Well, there is a trend with liberalism and all of its more totalitarian Marxism.
00:54:07.000And just wokeism and globalism in modern parlance.
00:54:11.000But if you look at all of history, history is replete of junk science theories that did have legs for a short period of time.
00:54:20.000I mean, until Galileo comes along and Copernicus, I mean, the reality there were people that believed, you know, the sun revolved around the earth and not the other way around.
00:54:30.000There was a science at one point called phrenology, which was basically that head size dictated intelligence.
00:55:30.000These are the three things that if you want liberal money and you want some fat cat, Tom Steyer or somebody else to give you the money, all you have to do is mention these things.0.88
00:55:46.000I mean, that's, but this again is no different than phrenology.
00:55:51.000It's no different than throwing a woman in a pond to see if she sinks or not, to locate whether or not she's a witch.
00:55:59.000And I just want to make sure, you know, nobody out there does this to any members of the squad or any, you know, Nancy Pelosi or anybody like that.
00:56:07.000Don't be throwing women in ponds or lakes, okay?1.00
00:56:10.000But like putting leeches on people and all the rest of it, it's no different.
00:56:14.000So, Like a hundred years from now, we're going to look back at this, and I write about this throughout the whole book.
00:56:20.000The a certain section of our culture has lost their freaking minds about this stuff, and we're going to be made fun of in the future.0.99
00:56:30.000You know, Donald Trump, the ninth, is going to hop off of a time traveling machine any minute and pop in behind you there and go, I told you this is the stupidest thing ever.0.99
00:56:43.000We're calling it now, but yeah, not everybody else is with it.0.99
00:56:47.000I mean, it's nuts, but that's why we have to do it.
00:56:51.000You do it, I do it, different people, the Babylon Bee, Gutfell, you know, different people, analysts out there.
00:56:58.000We have to at least, you know, bring the attention up because, you know, again, like Limbaugh used to say, you know, using satire to illustrate truth.
00:57:09.000That to me is the most important thing because I think comedy and humor in particular is our civic duty.
00:57:16.000And like you said earlier, why does this work better than a political argument?
00:57:21.000Sometimes humor works best, it stops wars.
00:57:25.000I mean, look, when your father went to the UN and he gave Kim Jong un a nickname, Little Rocket Man, okay, against Elton John's wishes, he goes,0.86
00:58:19.000Fine, you know, there's lobbyists, there's all these eggheads, all these people with them.
00:58:26.000I'm the distinguished, Chair of schmuckery at this college and all the rest of it, right?
00:58:31.000And all these people, all these experts and the Council on Foreign Relations and this, that, and CNN World and the BBC, all it took was a nickname and maybe Dennis Rodman to get.
00:58:45.000Dennis Rodman was probably more effective than any of these people.
00:58:48.000Tells you everything you need to know about their true efficacy.
00:59:19.000Because, you know, as your dad has said and has been written, apparently that was what Obama was most worried about when he was on his way out that little Kim was going to do something nuts.0.73
