02:23:14.000And I would take you onto the House floor, where the first thing that you would see if you walked in at the member's eye level is In God We Trust, right above the Speaker's head.
02:23:29.000And then I would show you if we were on this tour, I would open a little booklet.
02:23:32.000It's called The Visitor's Guide to the People's House.
02:23:34.000And it says in there, in this booklet that's been published for decades, it explains all the symbolism in the House chamber.
02:23:40.000And it says there about the national motto above the Speaker's rostrum.
02:23:44.000It says in 1962, Congress voted to put that there, it says in the book, as a rebuke to the Soviets' philosophy during the Cold War.
02:24:00.000In 1962, Congress recognized it's exactly what we're fighting today Marxism, communism, socialism.0.86
02:24:06.000It is a road to human suffering and death.
02:24:09.000And the members of Congress in the 60s wanted to put that right there so that every person who ever ran for the People's House to serve in that body would have to look at that all day long and recognize that is what distinguishes us from the communist.
02:24:46.000You know that in that beautiful room that was once the House chamber, there are brass plates on the floor that belong to people who served in Congress and then got elected president.
02:24:55.000Well, I would take you tonight to the brass plate of John Quincy Adams.
02:24:59.000I'd like to take everybody to that spot in Stadt Hall.
02:25:33.000No one's ever done it before or since.
02:25:34.000He ran for the House because he was a man on a mission.
02:25:36.000They called him the hellhound of slavery because he had a deep, burning conviction in his heart with his Christian faith that that was wrong, that it violated the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the scripture that we all believe in.
02:25:49.000And John Quincy Adams brought the resolution over and over and over to end slavery in America.
02:25:53.000But sadly, the country wasn't ready for it yet.
02:25:57.000And on about the 14th failed attempt, as the story goes, he was bringing the resolution, and a younger member of Congress walked up to him.
02:26:03.000They said, Mr. President, respectfully, why are you bringing it?
02:26:22.000Here's the part I want to leave you with.
02:26:24.000I love that, and it's a great worldview and a great vision for us to maintain.
02:26:28.000But if we were on the House floor right now, I'd take you from the brass plate of John Quincy Adams, 25 feet over, a little bit further over in Stat Hall, and I would show you the brass plate of someone else.
02:26:38.000See, John Quincy Adams had a very inspiring story, and he was not successful in eradicating slavery, if you know from history.
02:26:46.000Fast forward to February 21st, 1848, he's standing there giving an impassioned speech.
02:26:51.000We had just won the Mexican American War.
02:26:53.000We were expanding the country out west, and there was a lot of people that wanted to push slavery into the Western Territory.
02:26:58.000John Quincy Adams was having none of it.
02:27:01.000And so he was given one of his greatest speeches of all time, and he was so impassioned that he had a stroke and he fell to the floor.
02:27:08.000Younger members of Congress picked up Old Man Eloquent, his other nickname, and they carried him across the floor.
02:27:14.000If we were there in Stad Hall right now, in Statuary Hall, I'd show you where they took him.
02:27:18.000It was the Speaker's room, it's now the Women's Reading Room.
02:27:20.000They laid him on a couch there, he fell into a coma, and he died two days later.
02:27:25.000Now, here's the inspirational part that I'll leave you with.
02:27:28.000And this will mean a lot to you as it does to me.
02:27:30.000When there was a handful of members of the House who stood up immediately to say, I want to be involved in the memorial service, the state funeral for the great John Quincy Adams.
02:27:40.000One of the first persons to stand forward and volunteer for that great service was a freshman member of Congress from Illinois named Abraham Lincoln.
02:27:57.000Now, look, here's the end of the story.
02:27:59.000The moral is obvious, and I'll close with this.
02:28:05.000The sixth president was not successful in eradicating slavery in this great country of ours, but the 16th president got the job done.0.50
02:28:22.000Our first Republican president did that, and because it's the seeds that were planted, if you could see the two plates on the floor, you'd see the vantage point that Abraham Lincoln had to watch old men eloquent over and over and over speak with clarity, conviction, and consistency as we should do today.

02:28:38.000I know that God is not done with America yet.
02:28:40.000I know, I know that this is the last best hope of man on earth, and because of your efforts and because the American people can be trusted to make the right decision, we are going to win this election on November.

04:05:36.000They were all for competition, for meritocracy, and for excellence, which they thought should be a universal aspiration for Americans.
04:05:47.000My father and uncles had served in World War II, and they understood the difference between forever wars that they opposed and wars to protect our national security, which they believed we should never hesitate to defend.
04:06:13.000My family played critical roles in building NIH and CDC into centers of gold standard science that transformed America into this relentless dynamo of international research.
04:06:32.000They promoted physical fitness and they protected women's sports.
04:06:48.000Which because he wanted to make sure that women real women were able were able to have a safe and guaranteed spot in college sports.
04:07:07.000And they stood with Israel as the bulwark of democracy and as a beacon for press and religious freedoms, a haven from oppression to gays and women and ethnic and religious minorities amidst a regional sea of intolerance, of misogyny.

04:13:24.000The Democrats abandoned all of these values and all of their traditional values, offering Americans only one policy, the one policy that they stood for, the unbridled, sociopathic, and blind hatred of a single man, Donald J. Trump.
04:13:51.000And they were so confident that Trump hatred alone was sufficient to win elections that they abandoned accountability and made our government a predatory organism of monumental incompetence and corruption.
04:14:14.000The Democrats dismantled the public integrity safeguards and opened the floodgates to thieves and fraudsters who fleeced the American medical regulatory agencies for $100 billion annually during every year of the Biden administration.
04:15:53.000And so they unveiled a lawfare strategy to prevent an election from occurring.
04:15:59.000They sued every candidate who dared to run against Joe Biden and then attempted to remove us all from the ballot.
04:16:08.000A lot of you think that the lawfare was just against Donald Trump, it was mainly against him.
04:16:14.000But they sued Dean Phillips, they sued Mary Ann Williamson, they sued Cornell West.
04:16:20.000They sued Donald Trump 50 times in 38 states to remove him from the ballot.
04:16:32.000And they sued me in 12 states to remove me from ballots where I had legally qualified.
04:16:39.000And then, this is almost comical, after I endorsed President Trump and I tried to remove myself from the ballot so that he could have my votes, they sued me to keep me on the ballot.
04:16:58.000Oh, here was the Democratic Party that, in my youth, the biggest issue that we had that my father and my uncle fought for was voting rights, and particularly in the southern states, to guarantee that every American had a right to cast a ballot.
04:17:17.000And here's that same party, 60 years later, using all of its ingenuity and all of its power.
04:17:26.000To make sure that Americans could not vote for the candidates that they wanted to vote for, they excluded me from the debates, they canceled the primaries, the Democratic Party changed the rules to make sure I could not win, and neither could the other people who were running as Democrats, no matter how many votes we got.
04:17:47.000And for the first time in history, they canceled their own convention.
04:17:54.000No voter ever cast a primary ballot for Kamala Harris.
04:17:58.000No elected delegate was ever consulted.
04:18:02.000The party of no kings simply anointed a queen.

04:20:21.000We talked about lowering drug prices, supporting farmers and ranchers, standing up for working Americans, restoring law and order, and protecting public safety and security and national safety as well.
04:20:35.000We talked about ending official corporate influence, unraveling the corporate capture of our regulatory agencies.
04:20:44.000and restoring gold standard science and public trust.
04:20:51.000We talked about ending fraud, waste, and abuse.
04:20:58.000And most importantly to me, we talked about ending the chronic disease epidemic and restoring the health of our children.
04:21:19.000President Trump told me that he wanted safe fluid available to all Americans.
04:21:26.000He wanted to restore our kids' health.
04:21:29.000He found it unacceptable that this country pays two to three times what every developing nation in the world pays, and yet we have the sickest children in the history of the world.
04:21:40.000We have the highest chronic disease burden ever recorded.
04:21:45.000These conversations changed the course of my campaign and my life.
04:21:50.000I realized that many of the foundational values of the Democratic Party had found a new home, and it was called the Republican Party.

04:30:32.000That taxpayers and families deserve respect, and that pro business policies create jobs and opportunity.
04:30:47.000And I chose to leave a political party that was determined to defund the police, a party that puts criminals' interests ahead of the law abiding families that they terrorize.
04:31:02.000A party that shakes down taxpayers and job creators.
04:31:07.000A party that embraces tense cities and chaos.
04:31:13.000And a party that treats hardworking families with shame and disdain.
04:31:22.000This isn't just what the Democrat Socialists want to do, it's what they're already doing in cities across America.
04:31:32.000Where the mayor once called defunding the police an actual real political goal.
04:31:40.000Look at Seattle, where the socialist mayor there told residents not to drink Starbucks and actually waved bye to taxpayers and job creators who were anxious about higher taxes.

04:32:05.000But where the mayor is spending $70 million in taxpayer money on government run grocery stores.

04:41:01.000I found it and I brought it to him, and he immediately dropped everything he was doing in the Oval Office to call them.
04:41:09.000The grieving father was clearly very surprised.
04:41:12.000When he picked up the phone to hear the voice of his commander in chief.
04:41:16.000But the president, as usual, could not have been kinder.
04:41:20.000He assured him that he saw his son's story, his son was a hero, and this administration would ensure his alleged illegal alien murderer was brought to justice, and he was.
04:41:36.000This is just one of the many moments I've encountered behind the scenes with President Trump.
04:41:44.000Truly cares about our country and most importantly, our children.
04:41:50.000That's why the President and Republicans banned the barbaric practice of gender mutilation surgeries for minors and ended men in women's sports.
04:42:07.000It's also why the President and Secretary Kennedy, who we love, are making monumental changes to our public health system, like fighting to remove the chemicals from our food so we can make America healthy again for our kids.

05:16:35.000We were tired of our neighbors dying of drug overdoses.

05:16:42.000We were tired of seeing the cartels and the criminals given free reign over our great country.
05:16:49.000And we were tired of being called racist for noticing that our country was becoming dirtier and poorer and less safe and less prosperous.
05:17:09.000We were tired as a country, but you were not defeated.
05:17:14.000The radicals in Washington could take much from us, but they couldn't take our will to fight back.
05:17:28.000And so all of us came together on November the 5th, and we sent the toughest SOB in American politics back to the White House, and we made Donald J. Trump the 47th President of the United States.
05:17:49.000Now, ladies and gentlemen, this is a joyful occasion for me.

05:18:01.000But I got to be honest, it's also a somber occasion for me personally, and I know for so many of you out there, because the last time that I addressed a convention of my fellow Republicans, remember just two years ago, I had just become the Republican nominee for Vice President of the United States.
05:18:34.000I was speaking on the biggest stage of my life, and I'd been in politics for barely a year and a half.
05:18:39.000But I will never forget that as I made that speech, as I dressed the country on the biggest stage of my life, in the front row, right about there, my dear friend Charlie Kirk.
05:18:50.000Was smiling and cheering me and reminding me that I had a good friend right here in the convention hall.
05:19:04.000And of course, after I was elected Vice President of the United States, one year ago today, on September the 10th of last year, that good friend was taken from us when Charlie was assassinated.
05:19:18.000Now, Charlie left behind two children, two little kids they were too young to fully understand, and a wife, the amazing Erica, who has carried on his mission with more courage and resolve than most of us will ever be asked to show.
05:20:59.000We are entitled to inherit something straight from God the Father.
05:21:10.000Now, we live, of course, in an imperfect world of fallen men.
05:21:13.000We live in the city of man, not the city of God.
05:21:17.000But I believe that our founders built this nation on a promise that echoes our Creator that every American child is born an heir, is born with a birthright, born with the right to inherit the blessings of the greatest country on earth, not because of who their parents are, not because of what they look like or where they come from, but because they are Americans and this is our country.
05:21:54.000And that birthright, ladies and gentlemen, is what this November is all about.

05:22:26.000And of course, I've thought a lot about those words, a lot about those words in the last year, but particularly a lot about those words over the last six weeks.
05:22:36.000Because as many of you know, in July, my beautiful Usha gave birth to a baby boy, little Alec, just six weeks ago.
05:22:52.000And I will say that you should have been there when the organizers of the midterm RNC asked my wife, who had a two week old baby and three other kids that are very young, if she would come to Dallas, Texas to introduce her husband.
05:23:07.000And she said, Hell no, I got four kids to take care of.
05:23:17.000But she sends her love, and I know she's watching it home.
05:23:21.000And I've thought a lot, ladies and gentlemen, about what is the birthright of this newest of Americans.
05:23:29.000My little boy, he is now our fellow citizen, though he doesn't know it.
05:23:34.000And I think about what the Democrats have said about our shared birthright as Americans, or frankly, the lack thereof.
05:23:44.000In Michigan, one Democrat in particular, one candidate has said, and I quote, F the nuclear family.
05:23:58.000F the nuclear family, what are you even talking about?
05:24:01.000These hateful words come not from a love of country, they come not from a desire to serve you or our fellow Americans, but they come from a very deep emptiness in the soul.
05:24:20.000My four year old little girl, little Mira, beg to feed a bottle to her new baby brother.
05:24:28.000It's inside of the nuclear family where Alex's older siblings just a couple of weeks ago witnessed the wonder of a new baby's very first smile.
05:24:40.000It's inside of that family where I've seen Usha show an almost divine patience with those four kids.
05:24:49.000And so to the radicals, Who wish to abolish my family and the thousands and millions of other families all across our country?
05:24:59.000We have a simple message for them stay the hell away from our kids.
05:25:24.000Now, because we got a new kid around, I can't help but look at the future of this country through the eyes of the future of my son.
05:25:32.000And I can't help but think about what it is that we're fighting for and what it is that we want for all of our children.
05:25:39.000Now, I, of course, I want my son to grow up healthy and strong.
05:25:43.000I want him to have access to clean water and real food.
05:25:49.000I want him to live in a country where you don't need a PhD in chemistry to understand the ingredient list in the grocery store.
05:26:01.000I want to live in a country where my son's doctors answer to parents and to the Hippocratic Oath, not to a bunch of far left bureaucrats.
05:26:19.000He's going to grow up and go to school.
05:26:20.000I want him to go to a school that teaches him to read, to write, that reaches him arithmetic, that teaches him to love his country and his fellow citizens.
05:26:37.000And what I want for my family, I want for your family too.
05:26:42.000My job is to fight for every single person in this room, every person watching at home, as if they were my own family, as if they were my own kin.
05:26:57.000And so I don't just want these things for my kids, I want them for your kids too.
05:27:01.000I want our daughters to compete on a fair field where no politician tells a little girl she's got to surrender her trophy, her scholarship, or her locker room to a man.
05:27:28.000I want our sons to have a fair shot at a good job, and I want that for our daughters too.
05:27:35.000I want, whether they work in tech or manufacturing, American businesses to hire American workers, to rely on American people, and to ensure that we build the next generation of great American products with American hands.
05:27:59.000I want our children to be safe, ladies and gentlemen.
05:28:01.000I want them to be safe on their streets, safe in their schools, living peacefully in neighborhoods where the law protects the innocent and throws the violent criminals in prison where they belong.
05:28:19.000I want them to be free to worship to the dictates of their own conscience.
05:28:24.000And I want our children to grow up in a country that doesn't roll its eyes at people who pray, but remembers that this country itself was an answer to prayer 250 years ago.
05:28:48.000And I think, like most parents, I want my kids to do the most important thing.
05:28:55.000I want them to find somebody who's worth building a life with.
05:29:00.000And I want them to be able to afford a home where they can raise their children in peace and prosperity and comfort.
05:29:14.000I want them to know the pride of saving up for something, of buying something big and real that they're proud of without being outbid by Wall Street tycoons.
05:29:28.000I want them to keep what they've earned when they work hard.
05:29:31.000And that is the birthright that I'm talking about.
05:29:34.000That is the country that Donald J. Trump is fighting every single day to defend and to build upon.
05:29:48.000And while the president works every day to build upon that great nation, every single day the far left is working right now to make sure that your children never see that birthright.

05:36:17.000Prices rose 20% across the board, the worst inflation in a generation.
05:36:23.000And I always love when we said this, the president and I would go during the campaign, we'd say, you know, inflation is as high as it's been in 100 years.
05:36:33.000And the fake news would say, no, no, no, it's as high as it's been in 68 years.
05:36:38.000That ain't good, ladies and gentlemen.
05:36:42.000In just four short years, the cost of a home under Joe Biden doubled.
05:36:48.000And Americans who were finishing school suddenly found themselves competing not against their fellow Americans for jobs, but against 25 million new illegal immigrants, not just for jobs, but for homes as well.
05:37:49.000They did it by creating fake autism clinics and then having their friends sign up and pretend to have kids on the spectrum.
05:37:58.000And that's millions of dollars that ordinary American parents needed to help their special needs children, but instead went to foreign kickbacks and spending sprees for fraudsters.
05:38:14.000When the fraud they turned a blind eye to reached these catastrophic levels, we found $250 billion of fraud just since the president made me the fraud czar.
05:38:31.000When Medicaid programs for homeless or expecting mothers in states like Minnesota and Wisconsin began to fall apart because the money that you had paid to support those expectant mothers was going to fraudsters.

05:42:19.000These are candidates who, when they're not calling to repeal the Second Amendment, They will attack you as a literal white supremacist if you dare to criticize Sharia law.
05:42:33.000And the great state of New York, congressional Democrats tell us that the July 4th celebration is really about the liberation of Palestine and Puerto Rico.
