00:17:49.000So, what does the most famous Democrat in America have to say to that crowd?
00:18:21.000We believe in respecting the outcomes of elections and governing democratically and ensuring that the ideas and policies that are implemented are won through popular vote and popular opinion.
00:18:37.000And so I think that's why so much of what we focus on is also making sure that We are providing for the majority of Americans, guaranteeing health care, raising wages, strengthening the right to a union.

00:19:06.000That's her verdict on the movement whose official platform wants to tear three branches of your government out by the roots.

00:19:45.000Listen to a sitting Democrat congressman from Virginia explain out loud on purpose just how normal this has become inside their caucus.

00:19:58.000In our caucus alone in Congress, we have DSA members and we have people who are very moderate or centrist, like blue dogs.

00:20:20.000And by the way, out in Wisconsin, where Democrats vote in their primary tomorrow, one of the candidates for governor is a sitting state legislator named Francesca Hong, who once wrote, and guys, this is a direct quote police exist to uphold white supremacy.
00:20:46.000So CBS asked Bernie Sanders point blank whether any Of what she supports was maybe, I don't know, and possibly a little too extreme for him.

00:22:05.000Even Bernie Sanders, the man who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, looked at this campaign and I guess decided to maybe keep a little bit of a safe distance.
00:22:15.000But then you ask him on national television if abolishing the police is too extreme, and the answer is no.
00:22:25.000That's the state of the modern Democrat Party, guys.
00:22:29.000And down in Texas, their Senate nominee, James Tellerico, the guy.
00:22:34.000The media keeps telling us as a rising star, a fresh face, you know, sort of like they did with Beto, but you know, who knows?
00:22:57.000Our church was really active in LGBTQ rights in the 90s.
00:23:01.000We caught some attention by letting an atheist join our church in the 2000s.
00:23:07.000And then in the 2010s again stirred some controversy by housing an undocumented family, a mother and son who were close to being deported by ICE.
00:23:19.000There's your moderate guys giggling about it.
00:23:22.000Like defying federal immigration law is, you know, it's a merit badge.
00:23:26.000It's something you must do to be a powerful Democrat these days.
00:23:29.000You got to just go against federal law.
00:25:11.000That's not the attack ad, that's their sales pitch.
00:25:16.000Which brings me to the other America, the one that actually does the work to improve your life.
00:25:22.000Last week, hundreds of thousands of pounds of drugs pulled out of the water and out of the smuggling routes before they ever touched an American street corner.
00:25:33.000That's poison that never made it to a high school parking lot, never made it into somebody's kid, never put another family through the worst phone call of their lives.
00:25:45.000That was done by our federal law enforcement.
00:25:48.000Air, sea, land, northern border, southern border, that's what a government looks like when it remembers who it works for.
00:25:56.000And just days later, ICE wrapped up something called Operation Safe Community in Atlanta.
00:26:02.000More than 1,200 illegal aliens arrested across Georgia in one operation.
00:26:08.000And get this more than 700 of them had already been convicted or charged with crimes right here in the United States already.
00:26:17.000Not just crimes for being illegal, actually, crimes they were committed while they were here.
00:26:30.000Look, as you said, we arrested over 1,200.
00:26:34.000Aliens, illegal aliens out in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

00:27:57.000On Thursday, he signed two new executive orders taking on birthright citizenship.
00:28:02.000You know, where like a Chinese person comes over here, eight and a half months pregnant, has their baby, now they're permanent citizens forever.

00:28:14.000One of them was aimed again at shutting down the birth tourism industry, and the second one narrowing who qualifies for automatic citizenship in the first place.
00:28:26.000American citizenship is the most valuable thing on planet Earth, and for decades we handed it out like a parking validation, especially in places like California, which, by the way, brings me to the city of Oakland.

00:28:46.000Because federal prosecutors just pulled back the curtain on how a Democrat machine city actually runs.

00:29:06.000She's the former Democrat mayor of Oakland who got recalled by her own voters and then indicted in a federal bribery and corruption case along with her boyfriend.
00:29:17.000That trial is set for October, and the new court filings that just dropped are, let's just say, something else.0.99
00:29:25.000The disgraced mayor allegedly promised to use her official mayoral powers to steer lucrative city contracts to companies tied to a donor family.
00:29:35.000In return, this family allegedly routed nearly $100,000 towards a fake, high paying, no show job at their company for the mayor's romantic partner.
00:29:51.000Andy Dong regularly took secret photos and videos of politicians in, let's just say it, compromising positions for potential use against them, presumably to have on file, if he ever lost the contracts.
00:30:06.000Investigators found dozens of videos, photos, and recordings on his phone.
00:30:13.000The city's garbage contractor allegedly keeping a private blackmail library on the Democrat leaders in Oakland while the politicians of Oakland steered contracts his way.
00:30:26.000Well, the local ABC investigative team out there has been on this case for years.

00:30:37.000Now, to bombshell court filings in the FBI bribery and corruption case against former Oakland Mayor Sheng Tao, her partner, and the owners of California Waste Solutions.
00:30:47.000The government says defendant Andy Duong took secret photos and videos of politicians in compromising positions.
00:30:53.000ABC 7 Eyewitness News reporter Dan Noyes has been going through the documents.
00:30:59.000Amma and Cameron, the trial is set in federal court for October.
00:31:03.000Prosecutors and the defendants, including former Oakland Mayor Sheng Tao, are arguing over what evidence the jury should see.
00:31:10.000The federal indictment alleges that the owners of California Waste Solutions, David and Andy DeWong, bribed then Oakland Mayor Sheng Tao in exchange for Tao's promise to use her office to help the DeWongs.
00:31:23.000In the filings, prosecutors write that Andy DeWong regularly took surreptitious photos and videos of politicians in compromising positions for potential use against them.
00:31:33.000Investigators say they found dozens of such videos, photos, and recordings on his phone.
00:31:38.000Prosecutors also allege LaTao obtained a home lease by creating a fake $150,000 job for her partner, Andre Jones, at her sister's cannabis consulting business.
00:31:48.000The filings include new details about a trade delegation to Vietnam in July 2023, funded by the Duong family and attended by some 50 people and Sheng Tao, including video recorded by Andy Duong that depicts Duong, San Leandro Council member Brian Azevedo, and others driving in a car.
00:32:07.000Discussing sexual interactions from the previous evening at a massage parlor.
00:32:12.000After the trip, the documents say Tao became furious when a reporter was questioning the suspected drug use and activity involving prostitutes.
00:32:20.000Prosecutors alleged that DeWong paid $10,000 to an associate of the reporter to prevent the story from coming out.
00:32:27.000Yeah, I know we got massages and we were at places there were women around, but that doesn't mean I did anything.
00:32:33.000Azevedo told me in April of last year that the FBI questioned him about the Vietnam trip.
00:32:38.000Yeah, we have, they're saying we had prostitutes, all this stuff.
00:32:49.000Azevedo resigned as council member and is expected to testify for the prosecution.0.64
00:32:54.000The evidence also includes recorded phone conversations, including one in which then Mayor Shang Tao said she did not want to be seen in public with the DeWongs.
00:33:03.000Prosecutors say she was trying to conceal what they were doing.
00:33:07.000And the details just keep coming, guys.
00:33:10.000Okay, according to the filings, this same family bankrolled a trade delegation trip to Vietnam back in 2023.
00:33:18.000About 50 people went along, including the mayor, and the evidence from that trip includes a full car of Bay Area politicians comparing notes on the massage parlor from the night before.
00:33:32.000And when I say comparing notes, I mean the notes are apparently very specific.
00:33:38.000And this thing doesn't stop at Oakland City Hall, guys.
00:33:48.000The sitting attorney general of the largest state in the union, the man whose literal job description is supposed to be prosecuting corruption, has been questioned by FBI investigators in this case.
00:34:00.000He spent roughly $500,000 of campaign money on legal fees dealing with the probe.
00:34:06.000Now, Bonta has not yet been charged, and he's not been publicly identified as a suspect.
00:34:12.000But back in May of 2024, a business associate wrapped in the scandal sent Bonta a letter warning him.
00:34:20.000The same cast of characters with the alleged blackmail library on his phone had compromising videos of Bonta himself.
00:34:33.000The top law enforcement officer of the biggest state in the union, a guy who, by the way, has TDS in arguably the worst possible way, is questioned by the FBI, burning through nearly half a million dollars in campaign cash on lawyers.
00:34:51.000Over the same scandal that took down the mayor of Oakland.
00:34:55.000And here's what you won't hear from the party that lectures you about, you know, threats to democracy.

00:35:06.000No Republicans to blame, no MAGA boogeymen within 50 miles, just Democrats, their donors, and allegedly a phone full of blackmail tapes.

00:35:59.000This is federal prosecutors, the state attorney general, the FBI, the health inspector general, and the DEA all pulling on the same rope in a city where, you know, I guess this kind of theft ran unbothered for years and decades.
00:36:18.000Here's the thing about fraud, guys it's not a victimless paperwork crime.
00:36:23.000Every fake claim is money stolen from a taxpayer who worked for it.
00:36:29.000And from a sick or elderly American who actually needs the care.
00:36:34.000Home care fraud might be the ugliest version of all because the whole scheme only works by using the most vulnerable people as props.
00:36:45.000And by the way, if you want to understand why Americans stopped trusting their institutions in the first place, this morning handed us a perfect little case study.
00:36:56.000The director of the National Institute of Health, Dr. J. Bhattacharya, Went on CBS this morning.
00:37:04.000And the host tried the classic regime media move, teeing up the collapse of public trust and health agencies as somehow the Trump administration's fault.
00:37:15.000It did, let's just say, not go the way she had planned.
00:37:33.000This past week, he was killed last year protecting CDC employees from a gunman.
00:37:38.000And we should know he was a combat veteran, a United States Marine who had just graduated five months prior from the police academy, three kids left behind.
00:37:48.000The shooter was motivated by misinformation about the COVID vaccine.
00:37:55.000That is why he shot over 100 bullets into the windows of the CDC.
00:37:59.000Is enough being done to counter this kind of misinformation?

00:38:09.000A few months back, one of the first things I did is to honor him and his sacrifice in protecting the people that work at the CDC, the amazing people who work at the CDC, was we renamed the street that leads into the CDC after him.
00:38:24.000I'll tell you, the thing is, I want to focus my attention on Officer Rose because I think the shooter did was horrific.
00:38:31.000And I think you could talk about why shooters do things, but really, fundamentally, his father said he was brainwashed about the COVID vaccine and thought it was.
00:38:42.000I mean, the thing is, it's like to talk about the shooter puts the emphasis on somebody who's, I mean, I think we shouldn't be putting our emphasis on this.

00:38:51.000This is a man who was blacklisted, canceled, smeared, buried for the crime of being right too early.

00:45:38.000The White House economic advisor was on the Sunday shows this weekend, and he dropped a number that tells the whole story about working and workers under Trump versus under Biden.
00:46:15.000The number of manufacturing jobs under Joe Biden dropped by 230,000.
00:46:19.000And the reason that matters is the intuition that candidates of both parties understand that these blue-collar jobs in construction and manufacturing, they're really high-paying jobs.
00:46:27.000And so the typical construction or manufacturing worker in the U.S. has seen an increase under President Trump of $3,000 or $4,000.
00:46:39.000And the reason is that manufacturing was collapsing, and so the high paying jobs were going away.
00:46:43.000And so I think that we'll take our record over his every day.
00:46:46.000Under Biden, the NEC director points out the typical manufacturing worker watched his paycheck shrink while everything at the grocery store got more expensive because the people in charge thought the jobs were relics.

00:47:08.000Three to four thousand dollars under this administration because somebody finally decided the people who build things deserve a government that builds with them.

00:47:25.000And it's about to get busier because on Friday, the administration announced it's putting three billion dollars into American critical minerals and battery projects, the stuff that goes into missiles, munitions, right?

00:47:49.000The administration rolled out something called Freedom Haulers, a nationwide push to get military veterans behind the wheel of America's trucks.

00:48:05.000So we're here to celebrate with the president the Freedom Haulers Initiative, and we're appreciative to the Trump administration.
00:48:11.000For this initiative that will make it easier for veterans to transition out of military service and into the trucking industry.

00:48:23.000Truck driving is a great industry to go to, especially coming out of the military.
