00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.540 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.440 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you as well.
00:00:09.540 And we have got a lot to talk about, including a new speaker of the House,
00:00:14.380 plus breaking news that Hamas fighters were trained in Iran.
00:00:19.260 What will America's response be to that?
00:00:21.760 And also, new information coming out from the FBI
00:00:26.200 that apparently they received criminal information from over 40,
00:00:31.660 I'm going to say that again, over 40 confidential sources
00:00:34.600 on Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and James Biden.
00:00:39.380 We're going to deal with all of that.
00:00:40.840 But first, Senator, let's talk about who is the new speaker.
00:00:44.540 A lot of people had never heard his name before.
00:00:47.240 This is someone that came after weeks of debate
00:00:50.620 and different bigger names that you knew.
00:00:52.420 This seems to be a really good, staunch, hardcore, conservative, principled individual.
00:00:58.780 You know him personally.
00:01:01.060 So I do.
00:01:02.420 Mike Johnson is a good man.
00:01:05.040 And I think he's going to make an effective speaker of the House.
00:01:08.540 I think this is a very good development.
00:01:10.640 Mike is from Louisiana.
00:01:12.280 He's a member of the House, obviously.
00:01:13.860 He's 51 years old.
00:01:15.200 He's relatively young.
00:01:17.280 He is smart.
00:01:19.360 He's a constitutional lawyer.
00:01:21.020 So his career, before he was in Congress,
00:01:25.960 he was in the state legislature.
00:01:27.200 But before that, he was a constitutional lawyer,
00:01:29.480 and he worked with the Alliance Defending Freedom.
00:01:32.280 Now, the Alliance Defending Freedom is a group that I know very, very well.
00:01:36.260 They focus principally on religious liberty,
00:01:39.140 and they litigate cases all over the country,
00:01:42.220 including at the U.S. Supreme Court,
00:01:43.980 in defense of religious liberty.
00:01:45.920 And Mike worked for ADL for years and did a terrific job.
00:01:54.680 Mike now is, or had been prior to being elected speaker,
00:01:59.820 was the ranking member on the Constitution subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee.
00:02:08.300 Now, at the same time, I'm the ranking member on the Constitution subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
00:02:14.980 So we have the same roles in our respective houses.
00:02:18.920 Now, Mike was also, he was a conservative talk radio host in Louisiana.
00:02:25.340 He also, in the House, he served as chair of the Republican Study Committee,
00:02:31.160 which is a large group of the more conservative House members.
00:02:34.320 And until he was elected speaker, he was vice chair of the House Republican Conference.
00:02:40.480 Mike is someone who is a conservative.
00:02:42.980 He's an evangelical Christian.
00:02:44.720 He's a Southern Baptist.
00:02:45.540 But he's also someone who gets along with everyone,
00:02:50.540 whose personality, he is not, he's not someone who gets in people's faces.
00:02:58.120 He's not someone who, at the end of the day, look,
00:03:01.460 we had an enormous battle where Kevin McCarthy was toppled.
00:03:05.320 That caused lots of really rough and hurt feelings.
00:03:08.520 Then we had a whole battle where Steve Scalise made a run at being speaker.
00:03:15.000 Steve, who's also from Louisiana.
00:03:16.600 It's interesting that you're going to have likely the top two Republicans in the House,
00:03:20.860 both from Louisiana.
00:03:21.900 And Steve is a good guy.
00:03:22.820 Steve is a friend of mine.
00:03:23.680 I like Steve.
00:03:25.140 Steve came up short.
00:03:26.460 A different group of House members voted against Steve than voted against Kevin.
00:03:30.840 Then you had the run for Jim Jordan.
00:03:34.300 And Jim was the one person that I publicly endorsed.
00:03:39.280 And in that, Ben, I made an exception.
00:03:41.560 So in 11 years in the Senate, I've always stayed out of House leadership battles.
00:03:45.360 I figure we got enough fights in the Senate.
00:03:47.740 Why get in the middle of fights there?
00:03:49.760 I made an exception for Jim because Jim is someone I've worked together very, very closely.
00:03:54.800 He's a strong conservative leader.
00:03:56.840 And I enthusiastically endorse Jim.
00:03:59.280 By the way, Mike Johnson also enthusiastically endorsed Jim.
00:04:03.560 Jim made a hard run at it.
00:04:05.080 And at the end of the day, he couldn't get the votes.
00:04:06.900 There were a group of Republicans, mostly moderates, who kept voting no, who said no to Jim Jordan.
00:04:14.120 And then finally, it ended up after a few more rounds, it ended up with Mike Johnson.
00:04:18.860 Mike, look, I think this is a very positive development.
00:04:22.840 I can tell you, Mike and I, over the past couple of years, he and I have together led multiple amicus briefs at the U.S. Supreme Court, where he was the House lead.
00:04:33.180 I was the Senate lead.
00:04:34.800 Mike and I together led an amicus brief in the case of Groff versus DeJoy, which was a big victory.
00:04:40.800 We talked about on this podcast where the Supreme Court upheld religious liberty in particular with a with a post office employee who wanted to observe the Sabbath.
00:04:50.820 And the post office said, no, you can't.
00:04:52.920 And the Supreme Court 6-3 ruled in his favor and protected his religious liberty.
00:04:57.920 Mike and I teamed up for the amicus winning that.
00:05:01.360 And then Mike and I also teamed up in an amicus together on Gonzalez versus Google, which is a case where we were urging the court to take on big tech censorship and to defend free speech.
00:05:13.540 And so I think Mike's job is not going to be easy being speaker of the House with this incredibly narrow majority, just four Republicans.
00:05:23.080 If any five Republicans go run for the hills, you're in trouble.
00:05:26.360 It is an unbelievably difficult job.
00:05:29.780 But but but I'm confident, Mike, and I'm optimistic.
00:05:32.140 And I've already reached out to him and said, hey, congrats.
00:05:35.340 As I said, it is a big friggin deal.
00:05:37.820 And I look forward to you and me working together because we got a lot to do delivery on our promises for the American people.
00:05:44.240 You know, one of the things I think is so cool about him is his mentor is actually Jim Jordan.
00:05:49.120 He also served as legal defense for Trump during both impeachment.
00:05:53.140 He voted against all Ukraine spending after the initial bill.
00:05:57.380 And he he also I think this is really cool.
00:06:01.820 He clearly cares about his faith.
00:06:04.200 He was very open about that as he took that gavel and also was seen praying beforehand during that vote.
00:06:11.780 And this is a guy that I don't guess really had an ambition to be the speaker, per se.
00:06:19.060 It was more like, all right, I'm going to serve if you want me to serve.
00:06:23.360 And everybody got behind him.
00:06:25.840 He got every Republican except for one that didn't vote.
00:06:29.160 This is pretty awesome, I think, for a happy ending to a tough three weeks overall.
00:06:36.080 You know, it is.
00:06:37.860 And I'm reminded of one of my kind of key political advisors right when the battle over over Jordan was happening.
00:06:44.640 And I was asking, what do you think?
00:06:46.020 Do you think Jim can pull it out?
00:06:47.280 And as I said, I was publicly endorsing him.
00:06:49.200 And this this member of my team said, I think the next guy who gets nominated will become speaker.
00:06:56.040 And there was some wisdom to that, that that you had you had hurt feelings.
00:07:00.380 The battle over McCarthy, it was rough and people's feelings were hurt and they were angry.
00:07:04.000 And then the battle over Scalise and that was rough.
00:07:06.100 And people's feelings were hurt and then they were angry.
00:07:08.400 And then the middle of the battle over Jim, where a lot of people were engaged, again, it was rough.
00:07:14.020 And I think Mike had the advantage of coming next.
00:07:17.300 There was there was a moment with Tom Emmer, but but Trump came out hard against him.
00:07:22.240 And I think that torpedoed his run.
00:07:24.800 And then Mike was seen as a consensus choice.
00:07:27.760 He's a conservative, so conservatives were willing to support him.
00:07:31.200 But yet his temperament is mild mannered enough that the moderates were not scared of him.
00:07:37.060 Now, this is not going to be an easy job.
00:07:40.000 I do not envy him the choices because he's going to be to say hurting cats is a massive understatement to the job he has to do.
00:07:48.540 So I I'm sympathetic to how difficult it is.
00:07:51.380 But I think he's a good and capable man.
00:07:53.240 And I'm proud of him going forward because Lord knows our country is in crisis and we need strong conservative leadership in the House.
00:08:02.520 If you are a guy and you're getting a little bit older and you feel like that you have lost some of your strength and your vitality and weakness is setting in, complacency setting in.
00:08:13.780 Maybe you just don't feel like yourself.
00:08:15.640 You want to go out and be more active, but you just feel like you are complacent and fatigued.
00:08:21.660 Well, you're not alone.
00:08:23.520 The problem is men's testosterone levels are off a cliff historically at an all time low.

00:09:27.120 C-H-O-Q dot com.
00:09:29.920 I want to get to some other big topics here, Senator, that we tease at the beginning.
00:09:34.900 And one of them is one that I'm not shocked by.
00:09:38.660 You and I have talked about this, the relationship between terrorist organizations, Hamas and Hezbollah and Iran.
00:09:46.860 We know that Iran was involved in giving safe haven during and after 9-11 when we were fighting in Afghanistan and fighting in Iraq.
00:09:54.100 And now this new report is out that the Hamas fighters that did this attack on Israel trained in Iran.
00:10:03.120 And this is something I guess you'd say of a massive bombshell that this happened.
00:10:09.260 And what does this mean for our response to it as a country when they train there against one of our biggest allies in the Middle East?
00:10:18.560 Well, the Wall Street Journal has broken this story and it's a bombshell.
00:10:22.000 Well, the Journal reported, quote, in the weeks leading up to Hamas's October 7th attacks on Israel,
00:10:27.860 hundreds of the Palestinian Islamist militant groups fighters received specialized combat training in Iran.
00:10:36.020 According to people familiar with the intelligence related to the assault,
00:10:40.840 roughly 500 militants from Hamas and an allied group, Palestinian Islamic Jihad,
00:10:47.280 participated in the exercises in September.
00:10:50.740 Now it's October right now, September's last month,
00:10:53.400 which were led by officers of the Quds Force,
00:10:57.540 the foreign operation arm of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
00:11:03.260 Senior Palestinian officials and Iranian Brigadier General Esmail Khwani,
00:11:08.820 the head of the Quds Force, also attended.
00:11:11.520 Now, this is a huge damn deal.
00:11:14.840 We've talked about before how the Journal has reported that Iran planned this attack,
00:11:20.360 they funded this attack, they directed this attack.
00:11:22.480 And by the way, the Biden administration has been furiously spinning against this.
00:11:27.180 They've been saying, no, no, there's no evidence Iran was involved.
00:11:30.000 This was not Iran.
00:11:30.800 This was not Iran.
00:11:31.540 This is not Iran.
00:11:32.480 And you can understand why.
00:11:34.020 Because these idiots have flowed nearly $100 billion into Iran.
00:11:40.040 And so they are desperate to say Iran is not involved.
00:11:45.020 I got to say, even though I was not surprised that Iran had planned and directed this,
00:11:50.340 the fact that 500 plus of the Hamas death squad terrorists trained in Iran last month,
00:11:58.360 you know what that means?
00:11:59.280 That training was effectively paid for by Joe Biden.
00:12:04.860 So Joe Biden and the Democrats, who have been the Iran appeasement squad for two and a half years,
00:12:11.340 they can take credit.
00:12:12.720 We trained the mass murderers who killed over 1,400 Israelis, who killed 31 Americans,
00:12:19.320 who raped women and young girls.
00:12:22.760 Connect those dots, by the way, because you know what's going to happen.
00:12:25.420 Some psycho fact checker is going to sit here and go,
00:12:29.740 oh, I can't believe that Senator Ted Cruz said this.
00:12:32.140 Let's connect those dots so people truly understand why you're saying this.
00:12:36.760 Okay.
00:12:37.880 So assuming the journal reporting is accurate, I have no reason to doubt that it is.
00:12:42.880 Over 500 of the terrorists who committed these acts of mass murder trained physically in Iran by the Quds forces just last month.
00:12:53.380 That's the training of a military invasion that that is preparing people to commit the greatest act of mass murder against Jews in a single day since the Holocaust.
00:13:06.240 Iran trained them.
00:13:08.600 Now, we've discussed on this podcast at great length.
00:13:12.920 Nearly $100 billion has flown it flowed into Iran from Joe Biden and the Democrats.
00:13:19.400 Six billion in the ransom for five American hostages.
00:13:23.240 Ten billion from Iraq that they flowed several weeks earlier.
00:13:26.400 And over $80 billion because Joe Biden and the Democrats refused to enforce oil sanctions.
00:13:33.420 And they're allowing Iran, even today, to be selling two million barrels a day of oil, mostly to communist China.
00:13:41.260 That money, what do you think it went to?
00:13:43.740 Listen, I'm going to start with two really damn simple principles.
00:13:48.700 Stop giving money to terrorists who want to murder us, number one.
00:13:54.020 Amen.
00:13:54.900 And number two, stop letting into this country terrorists who want to murder us.
00:14:00.680 This combination is horrible.
00:14:02.920 They're flooding cash to psychopaths who want to kill us and who want to kill Israelis.
00:14:08.280 And they're letting them into this country.
00:14:10.640 And they are inviting something really, really bad, Ben.
00:14:14.360 And what, by the way, is the Biden administration's answer to this?
00:14:19.120 Immediately after this terror attack, what do they say?
00:14:21.520 We want to send another $100 million to Gaza because it's worked so well sending money to terrorists.
00:14:27.540 Let's send them some more money because surely they won't use this more money to kill yet more Israelis and more Americans.
00:14:33.560 It is insanity.
00:14:35.000 I have to ask you another question about the intelligence breakdown here.
00:14:39.040 We spend a lot of money, Senator, on intelligence.
00:14:43.280 Obviously, Israel does as well.
00:14:46.000 I have a concern that everyone seemed to miss 500 people training in Iran for this type of an invasion.
00:14:54.320 But what concerns me even more is if we missed this and if the best intelligence services in the world missed it combined, Israel and the U.S.,
00:15:04.680 what could we be missing when it comes to Iran getting a nuclear weapon?
00:15:08.300 That's the reason why I'm asking the question.
00:15:11.700 It's a very good question.
00:15:13.140 Or for that matter, what could we be missing about, say, Iran training 500 terrorists in Mexico to invade our southern border and carry out a mass murder just like the kind they carried out in Israel?
00:15:25.540 Look, that's a question that's horrifying to ask.
00:15:28.020 But we have seen the Ayatollah chants death to America, and it is a strange thing.
00:15:37.640 Today's Democrats don't seem to want to believe him when he says that.
00:15:41.580 I believe him.
00:15:43.200 I believe if he could murder 1,000 Americans tomorrow, he would.
00:15:47.060 If he could murder 10,000 Americans tomorrow, he would.
00:15:49.660 If he could murder a million Americans tomorrow, he would.
00:15:51.840 And what is particularly terrifying, look, we've seen mass murdering despots before, but it is relatively rare to see a mass murdering despot who is driven by a theocratic urge, a theocratic urge that celebrates death and suicide.
00:16:14.880 And so, listen, if Iran launched a massive terror attack in the United States, even a commander in chief as utterly weak and impotent as Joe Biden would be forced to respond.
00:16:27.480 And presumably many Iranians would die.
00:16:30.920 The problem is the Ayatollah, I think, might be perfectly happy to let many Iranians die if he could murder Americans and he could murder Jews.
00:16:38.300 That's when you have a theocratic radicalism, ordinary cost-benefit analysis doesn't work.
00:16:49.360 Senator, I also got to ask you about our focus, and I'm talking about specifically the priorities of the Biden administration.
00:16:56.300 We have spent a hell of a lot of time, or this administration has, focusing on quotas and kumbayaism and having men that dress like women be in military and all these, you know, key roles.
00:17:11.580 We've seen them be obsessed with going after anyone that was in or around the Capitol on January 6th.
00:17:17.500 There was a video that came out of a guy's home being raided that didn't even go into the Capitol.
00:17:21.760 And this has been going on now for a couple of years is my concern is, and I want to know if it's your concern, is that they're not focusing on the right issue here.
00:17:33.000 And they have all of these these people they've weaponized for political purposes, staring down at Americans instead of looking at terrorist activities, whether it be here or around the world.
00:17:45.160 Look, unfortunately, you're exactly right.
00:17:47.340 Joe Biden and the Democrats are fundamentally unserious about national security, about protecting America from the very real enemies we have.
00:17:56.360 You know, if you look back at this Wall Street Journal reporting on what happened here, I want to read you some more details.
00:18:02.480 Quote, Hamas attackers used aerial drones to disable Israeli observation posts and high-tech surveillance equipment.
00:18:10.460 Some used paragliders to fly into Israel.
00:18:14.140 Others rode on motorcycles commonly used by Iranian paramilitary groups, but not by Hamas until October 7th.
00:18:21.620 U.S. officials said Iran has regularly trade militants in Iran and elsewhere, but they have no indications of a mass training right before the attack.
00:18:30.360 U.S. officials and the people familiar with the intelligence said they have no information to suggest Iran conducted training specifically to prepare for the events of October 7th.
00:18:39.820 On Wednesday, Israel's military offered some of its most blunt comments yet on Iran's role in aiding Hamas and other militant groups.
00:18:49.060 Quote, before the war, Iran directly assisted Hamas with money, training and weapons and technological know-how, said Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the military's chief spokesman.
00:18:59.400 Even now, Iran is helping Hamas with intelligence.
00:19:06.400 And while this is going on...
00:19:08.400 Can you say that again? Even now...
00:19:09.000 Wait, let's go back to that, because that's a really important point that people need to make sure they understand, is the White House has been running away from this fact.
00:19:16.540 You just said, even now, Iran is helping Hamas, right now.
00:19:20.140 With intelligence.
00:19:21.460 That's the quote from Israel's chief military spokesman.
00:19:25.100 Even now, Iran is helping Hamas with intelligence.
00:19:28.080 And even now, Joe Biden and the Democrats are still not enforcing oil sanctions.
00:19:33.640 So they're allowing Iran to sell 2 million barrels of oil a day, and they're using that money to fund their military, to fund their intelligence, to fund their terrorism, to fund Hamas, to fund Hezbollah, to fund terrorists that are trying to murder former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, that are trying to murder former National Security Advisor John Bolton, that are trying to murder former Assistant Secretary of State Brian Hook.
00:19:55.980 Look, all of this is being funded by money the Democrats are allowing to flood in, and that doesn't even begin to touch the security threat from our southern border.
00:20:07.560 Democrats treat national security as political PR.
00:20:12.420 Everything is about politics.
00:20:14.340 Look, go back to the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
00:20:18.620 Joe Biden and the apparatchiks in the White House decided, we want to pull out of Afghanistan by September 11th.
00:20:24.340 Why?
00:20:25.160 Because we want to hold a big press conference and say, see, on the anniversary of 9-11, we're out of Afghanistan.
00:20:29.800 Now, the military said, well, hold on a second.
00:20:31.600 We need sufficient forces there to evacuate people safely.
00:20:34.560 We don't want our soldiers to die.
00:20:35.900 We don't want Americans to die.
00:20:37.380 We don't want the Afghans who assisted us to die.
00:20:39.400 And the White House said, nope, tough luck.
00:20:41.100 Get out.
00:20:41.500 We got a political deadline to happen.
00:20:43.720 And so we abandoned Bagram Airfield.
00:20:45.680 We ended up doing the evacuation through Kabul International Airport, a commercial airport in a dense urban environment,
00:20:52.740 and 13 servicemen and women were murdered as a result of it.
00:20:56.240 It's the same approach.
00:20:58.140 It's a cavalier approach that it's all about politics rather than a seriousness.
00:21:04.560 Listen, we know tomorrow and the next day and the next day Israelis are going to be murdered by Hamas.
00:21:11.460 And what is Joe Biden proposing?
00:21:14.400 Let's send another $100 million to Gaza.
00:21:16.600 Gaza is controlled by Hamas.
00:21:19.280 Let's send them another $100 million because that's clearly what the terrorists who are at war with Israel need is more money.
00:21:26.220 And I pray to God that the attack doesn't come here at home.
00:21:30.000 But I believe every day the responsibility lies on the head of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Merrick Garland and Chris Wray
00:21:36.440 and this entire administration that is too busy focusing on their own political agendas rather than defending the American people.
00:21:46.720 Final question on this before we get to the Biden crime family and the shocking news of FBI informants.
00:21:52.020 Does America have an obligation if everything that the Wall Street Journal is saying comes out to be 100% factual?
00:21:59.200 We have no reason to believe it's not.
00:22:00.500 But does the United States of America, does Joe Biden's administration have an obligation to respond to Iran militarily if this is all in fact solid?
00:22:12.740 Well, in addition to everything we've been discussing, Iran has been regularly attacking and Hamas has been regularly attacking American military targets.
00:22:19.960 We have seen multiple servicemen and women, American servicemen and women injured.
00:22:24.460 And to date, the Biden administration has done not a damn thing.
00:22:29.900 Canadian women are looking for more.
00:22:32.160 More out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them.
00:22:36.280 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:22:39.960 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:22:41.180 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:22:42.420 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.
00:22:46.180 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.
00:22:51.920 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:22:54.900 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:22:59.220 And let's explain this more.
00:23:02.280 This is over the last couple of weeks.
00:23:03.800 People, this has not been covered by the news.
00:23:06.060 So we probably need to explain this real quick.
00:23:08.180 American military targets have been being hit in the Middle East.
00:23:11.640 Particularly in Iraq.
00:23:12.280 America, particularly in Iraq, over the last couple of weeks since this attack on Israel happened.
00:23:17.760 And multiple servicemen and women, American servicemen and women, have been injured.
00:23:21.880 And Joe Biden hadn't said anything about it, hadn't done anything about it.
00:23:25.200 Look, these guys still want a grand Iran nuclear deal.
00:23:29.260 And so they're terrified to actually criticize Iran.
00:23:32.220 They've gotten up to saying Hamas is bad.
00:23:35.100 All it took was them murdering 1,400 Israelis and 31 Americans for them to say Hamas is bad.
00:23:40.420 But the people who funded it, who trained it, who brought them to Iran, who gave the training sessions, who taught them how to do this,
00:23:48.120 this administration still won't take them on.
00:23:51.440 It is insanity.
00:23:53.580 Patriot Mobile for 10 years has been America's only Christian conservative wireless provider.
00:23:58.940 And when I say only, trust me, they are literally the only one.
00:24:03.300 The team at Patriot Mobile are incredible because they are an American-based company with an American-based call center
00:24:09.600 that helps proud Americans just like you that are conservatives and Christian know that when they pay their bill every month,
00:24:16.600 you're actually making a difference and standing up for what you believe in.
00:24:20.520 So stop sending your money to woke companies that are fighting against your values.
00:24:24.740 You may not realize it, but Big Mobile, they have been giving millions to liberal Democrats and to places like Planned Parenthood.
00:24:34.220 Well, Patriot Mobile has decided to do something else, and I love this about them as a company.
00:24:39.280 For every verdict listener that switches your cell phone provider to Patriot Mobile,
00:24:44.140 they are going to make an initial donation to an organization that helps protect the lives of unborn children.
00:24:52.740 It is pretty awesome.
00:24:53.880 And then every month when you pay your bill, they take a portion of your bill at no extra cost to you,
00:24:58.480 and they give it back to hardcore conservative Christian organizations.
00:25:02.360 They stand up for freedom of speech, religious freedom, the sanctity of life, the Second Amendment,
00:25:07.680 as well as our military, our veterans, and first responder heroes.
00:25:11.160 So you're going to have a bill every month for a cell phone.
00:25:13.480 Why not put it with a company that fights for what you believe in?
00:25:17.200 100% U.S.-based customer service team is there to help make switching easy.
00:25:21.920 You can keep your same cell phone number you have now.
00:25:24.360 Keep your same phone or upgrade to a new one.
00:25:27.420 Call Patriot Mobile.
00:25:28.940 972-PATRIOT.
00:25:30.420 That's 972-PATRIOT.
00:25:33.240 Use the promo code VERDICT.
00:25:34.740 You'll get free activation and the best deals of the year.
00:25:38.400 972-PATRIOT or PatriotMobile.com.
00:25:40.920 I want to move to this other big topic as well, and that is this Fox News report that has come out
00:25:47.700 saying, quote, the FBI maintained more than 40 confidential human sources on various criminal matters
00:25:57.320 related to the Biden family, including President Joe Biden, dating back to his time as the vice president,
00:26:05.700 according to information obtained by Senator Chuck Grassley.
00:26:11.140 You've got a lot more on this, and I want you to take it from there.
00:26:14.300 Well, that's exactly right.
00:26:16.000 The evidence against Joe Biden and the Biden crime family has extended for a long time.
00:26:21.020 According to the Fox News reporting, the confidential human sources providing criminal information to the FBI
00:26:28.400 relating to Joe Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden.
00:26:32.160 Those confidential human sources were managed by multiple FBI field offices across the nation,
00:26:37.340 including the FBI's Seattle field office.
00:26:41.980 But, and this is something also that my colleague Chuck Grassley has learned and reported,
00:26:45.920 an FBI task force within the Washington field office sought to, and in some cases successfully,
00:26:51.640 shut down reporting and information from those sources by falsely discrediting the information
00:26:57.540 as foreign disinformation.
00:27:00.500 That effort caused investigative activities to cease.
00:27:03.920 So understand, they're getting confidential human source after confidential human source
00:27:08.880 after confidential human source saying these guys are crooks.
00:27:11.560 These guys are selling favors from Joe Biden to foreign nationals, to foreign oligarchs,
00:27:17.920 to corrupt Ukrainians, to corrupt Russians, to corrupt Chinese, to foreigners.
00:27:22.920 And the response of the top brass at the FBI is, nope, nope, we don't want that.
00:27:28.240 Shut it down.
00:27:28.820 Don't talk about this.
00:27:30.220 This is foreign disinformation.
00:27:32.180 The disinformation was coming all right, but sadly it was from the FBI.
00:27:35.760 And Senator, your colleague Grassley alleges, in essence, that, look, the FBI and the DOJ
00:27:45.680 were, in essence, part of a cover-up here.
00:27:48.060 They sought to shut down the investigations into the Biden while knowing that the FBI had
00:27:54.460 received this criminal information from over 40 confidential sources.
00:27:58.560 Now, to be clear, 40 sources, Senator, is a hell of a lot of confidential sources.
00:28:03.040 When you're talking about people that are telling you about illegal activity they believe they're
00:28:07.860 witnessing on Hunter Biden, on James Biden, on Joe Biden, and then they're like, yeah, yeah,
00:28:13.140 we know about this.
00:28:13.920 We just want to shut it down.
00:28:15.380 That's not normal.
00:28:17.540 So that's exactly right.
00:28:19.100 The only thing that I disagree with you is you said that Grassley alleged this is, in
00:28:24.040 essence, a cover-up.
00:28:25.300 No, he didn't say, in essence, a cover-up.
00:28:27.060 He alleged it was flat-out a cover-up.
00:28:28.780 Let me quote from Chuck Grassley, quote, based on the information provided to my office over
00:28:33.500 a period of years by multiple credible whistleblowers, there appears to be an effort within the Justice
00:28:39.620 Department and FBI to shut down investigative activity related to the Biden family.
00:28:45.980 Such decisions point to a significant political bias infecting the decision-making of not only
00:28:51.940 the attorney general and FBI director, but also line agents and prosecutors.
00:28:57.160 And I've got to say, the politicization of the FBI, particularly under Joe Biden, and the
00:29:03.460 politicization of DOJ is one of the worst and most damaging legacies of this administration.
00:29:10.940 Put your lawyer hat on for a second.
00:29:12.800 Explain this terminology used.
00:29:14.660 It says the confidential human sources, quote, provided criminal information to the FBI
00:29:19.640 relating to Joe Biden, James Biden, and Hunter Biden.
00:29:23.140 Those confidential human sources were managed by multiple FBI field offices across the nation,
00:29:29.160 including the FBI's Seattle field office.
00:29:32.000 So when they use words like provided criminal information, what does that mean?
00:29:37.760 That means you've got individuals, informants, who are coming forward saying,
00:29:41.840 hey, I have an evidence of a crime, evidence of a crime committed by Joe Biden or Hunter Biden or James
00:29:46.940 Biden. Now, some of them may not have been telling the truth.
00:29:50.320 Some of them may not have been pointing to actual crimes.
00:29:52.560 But when you have 40 different sources coming up saying, I've got evidence of a crime, that's
00:29:58.740 unusual.
00:29:59.600 That doesn't happen.
00:30:01.500 You know, ordinary public servants don't live a life where you have 40 people coming forward
00:30:06.060 saying, hey, I've got evidence of a crime.
00:30:07.720 And by the way, there are millions of dollars flooding into them from communist China and
00:30:11.480 Ukraine and Russia and everywhere else like that.
00:30:13.340 That is not typical.
00:30:15.220 Look, I serve in the United States Senate.
00:30:16.940 My colleagues are not getting millions of dollars from communist China or Russia or Ukraine.
00:30:21.960 That is exceedingly unusual.
00:30:24.680 And to have 40 different sources coming forward, a normal law enforcement process would say, hey,
00:30:31.100 this is really concerning.
00:30:32.700 We need to investigate this.
00:30:34.140 What's going on and what Grassley is alleging is that the evidence is the FBI field office
00:30:40.680 in D.C. shut it down and said, nope, ixnay on the Iden Bay investigation, eh?
00:30:46.900 Like like like they just did not want to look into crimes committed by Joe Biden.
00:30:52.720 And I got to say that.
00:30:56.240 Well, and they also use the words they wanted to shut down or they did.
00:31:00.140 The Washington field office, in some cases, successfully shut down reporting.
00:31:05.640 So they were saying, see no evil, hear no evil.
00:31:10.140 If you have something that deals with a Biden last name, we don't even want you to report
00:31:15.180 it, much less give us the information that we would receive.
00:31:18.860 We don't even want it to come in the door.
00:31:21.300 Well, and this is part of this is the consequence of the whole Russia, Russia, Russia nonsense.
00:31:25.780 And we saw for years the FBI and DOJ wage war on Donald Trump, alleging Russia, Russia, Russia.
00:31:33.180 And we now know the vast majority of that was nonsense.
00:31:35.900 It was made up.
00:31:36.760 It was fabricated, included actually an assistant general counsel at the FBI literally fabricating
00:31:42.200 an email, creating a false email and submitting it to a federal court, which is a felony because
00:31:47.520 they hated Donald Trump so much that they wanted to go after him.
00:31:50.760 But the danger of the Russia, Russia, Russia narrative is when you had the Hunter Biden
00:31:55.520 laptop, the FBI could just say, well, this is Russia disinformation.
00:31:58.740 Never mind that at this point, Hunter Biden's lawyers have essentially admitted, yes, it is
00:32:03.160 his laptop.
00:32:04.600 By alleging all evidence of criminality is Russian disinformation, they convinced law enforcement
00:32:11.300 to ignore what what is enormous evidence of corrupt conduct by Hunter Biden, James Biden
00:32:19.980 and Joe Biden.
00:32:20.740 Well, and one of those critical FD 1023s we talked extensively on verdict about was first
00:32:27.700 reported earlier this year.
00:32:29.240 It was that form that included the reporting from a, quote, highly credible, confidential human
00:32:34.780 source who alleged a criminal bribery scheme between then Vice President Joe Biden, his
00:32:41.000 son, Hunter Biden, and the founder and the CEO of that Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma,
00:32:46.600 where we know that Hunter Biden was on the board.
00:32:50.080 If if that's one example of what we were getting from these 40 plus informants, what other intel
00:32:57.660 do we do we not have?
00:32:59.560 And is there a way to go to the FBI and for you guys in the sense to even get it?
00:33:04.620 Well, we don't know.
00:33:06.060 There should be.
00:33:06.840 But unfortunately, this FBI and this DOJ believes that they are not accountable to the United
00:33:11.360 States Congress.
00:33:12.160 They're not accountable to the American people.
00:33:13.720 So when you ask them, their standard answer is piss off.
00:33:17.240 Go jump in a lake.
00:33:18.080 We will not answer your questions.
00:33:19.280 And there's an arrogance.
00:33:20.720 There's a contempt.
00:33:21.900 Look, we had we talked about this in a previous pod.
00:33:24.560 A deputy director of the FBI, where I was questioning him.
00:33:28.580 And as I asked questions, he said, well, I don't want to answer that.
00:33:31.180 He said, I asked, why not?
00:33:32.300 Because I don't want to.
00:33:33.360 Like, who the hell?
00:33:34.100 What do you mean you don't want to?
00:33:35.780 This is not just a chat at a coffeehouse, damn it.
00:33:38.960 You're giving testimony in front of the Judiciary Committee of the United States Senate.
00:33:43.160 And you have an obligation.
00:33:44.560 You're giving testimony on behalf of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
00:33:47.800 But there is a hubris on the part of these individuals, these partisans who are at
00:33:53.520 the senior career positions, that they believe, how dare you question what we're doing.
00:34:00.000 And I got to say, look, I'm an alumnus of DOJ.
00:34:03.520 I respect and revere the institution.
00:34:06.000 And they have corrupted it to a point that it is heartbreaking and it is dangerous for
00:34:11.360 the rule of law.
00:34:12.220 And it's dangerous for liberty in the United States.
00:34:14.440 I want to tell you real quick about our friends at Augusta Precious Metals.

00:35:47.740 Last question for you.
00:35:49.200 Next time the Attorney General Merrick Garland comes before Congress, what question should
00:35:54.060 he be asked about this?
00:35:56.360 A lot, but I will say even to our beloved listeners at Verdict, I'm not going to give
00:36:03.760 a preview of the questions I'm going to ask.
00:36:05.440 We'll figure that out probably the day before and the day that Merrick Garland arrives.
00:36:11.100 It will be time sensitive, but it will be driven by all of these issues because I view
00:36:16.540 my responsibility.
00:36:17.540 Listen, when I'm sitting there, it's not just me asking questions.
00:36:21.960 You know, I'm elected to represent 30 million Texans, and so I'm trying to do my very best
00:36:26.960 to ask questions on behalf of 30 million Texans, to ask questions that Texans have a right
00:36:32.880 to know.
00:36:33.360 And sometimes I do it well, sometimes I do it less than well.
00:36:36.320 That's the blessing and curse of being human.
00:36:39.880 But I'm trying to fulfill my responsibility to the people of Texas of defending the Constitution
00:36:46.180 and the rule of law, so you can be assured the next time Merrick Garland testifies in
00:36:51.040 the Senate Judiciary Committee, we're going to be talking about it on Verdict afterwards,
00:36:55.080 and I'm going to do my very best to ask the questions that 30 million Texans want asked.
00:37:00.920 Yeah, great point.
00:37:01.740 Don't forget, we will keep you updated on this.
