00:01:36.760 as low as zero percent with no required private mortgage insurance look for your sign today
00:01:42.160 navy federal credit union navy federal is insured by ncaa equal housing lender terms and conditions
00:01:47.740 apply loans subject to approval and eligibility requirements learn more at navyfederal.org
00:01:52.700 slash zero down brought to you by navy federal credit union fauci i inherited falci he was here
00:01:59.540 from the 1980s so i had him for a period of time and i disagreed with him on a lot i would have
00:02:05.060 had to close down the whole country if i listened to him i went i went the federalist way which is
00:02:10.040 basically let the governors decide and generally speaking the republican governors did very well
00:02:15.160 the democrat governors did not very well but fauci wanted to have nobody wearing masks if you
00:02:21.120 remember. And then everybody had to wear five masks, as many masks as you could get. And it's
00:02:25.920 made a lot of mistakes. You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
00:02:31.280 Good Thursday morning. It's so nice to have you on the 47 Morning Update. And we've got two big
00:02:35.300 stories for you. First up, Anthony Fauci. Yeah, he showed up in Congress yesterday. And let's just
00:02:41.540 say it didn't go very well. We break down exactly what he had to say. And the second part of the
00:02:48.320 story is the response Americans furious members of Congress livid and lawyers for Anthony Fauci
00:02:56.180 literally being kicked out of the room so what happens next we break it all down for you now
00:03:02.200 before we get to that I want to ask you to join me in praying for the people that are in need right
00:03:08.100 now in Israel there are so many needs in Israel and they are still dealing with the attacks from
00:03:14.380 Terrace. And that is where I want you to join me and go right now to find out who you can help pray
00:03:20.520 for by going to PrayIFCJ.org. As Christians, we're called to stand with God's people and pray for
00:03:27.700 those defending Israel and protecting the freedoms we hold dear. And you have an important role that
00:03:34.000 you can play right now. And that is understanding that even as the headlines move on, the heartache
00:03:39.720 and the terror? They do not. Iran and its terrorist proxies are continuing to target
00:03:44.580 the people in Israel. Hezbollah is continuing its attacks in the north, forcing families to live
00:03:49.540 under constant threat. But Israel is not only defending her people, she is standing on the
00:03:54.540 front lines against terror that threatens us all. And that is why the International Fellowship of
00:03:59.740 Christians and Jews is standing firm and standing with the people every day. They're on the ground
00:04:05.760 providing life-saving aid. Near Israel's border with Lebanon, a Hezbollah drone recently struck
00:04:10.860 the home of Yelena. She was widowed earlier this year and living alone. Not only was she trapped
00:04:16.120 inside by the blast, but she also said this after she was rescued. It's hard these days. I don't
00:04:23.120 want to leave. And why should she have to leave her home? And that is why I'm asking you to pray
00:04:29.120 for peace and for Jerusalem and for the soldiers and the families and the civilians that are
00:04:34.540 carrying this burden right now go to pray ifcj.org to get involved that's pray ifcj.org it's the 47
00:04:44.200 morning update and it starts right now story number one well if you missed it it was fireworks on
00:04:50.760 capitol hill and it had nothing to do with the 250th anniversary celebrating the united states
00:04:56.660 of america this time it was one of the most controversial public officials and i say that
00:05:03.520 air quotes, of this country's history in my lifetime. The man in charge of the COVID error,
00:05:11.060 Dr. Anthony Fauci, was forced to return and face lawmakers for the countless lies he's now being
00:05:18.000 accused of telling. And within moments, the hearing turned into political theater. Unlike
00:05:24.140 anything we've actually seen in Washington in years, and that's saying something. Anthony
00:05:29.220 Fauci read a simple opening statement not just for this country but also for the world to see
00:05:36.380 and think about how different this statement is than the man that was obsessed with his image
00:05:42.280 obsessed with being famous obsessed with telling you what you could and couldn't do
00:05:47.040 for years during COVID a man that obsessed with locking down the country a man that said if you
00:05:54.880 got the vaccine, you had nothing to worry about. A man that said we were going to quarantine to
00:06:00.260 stop the spread in two weeks. A man that said you must wear a mask. A man that said you couldn't go
00:06:06.260 to the hospital to say goodbye to your loved ones who were dying. A man that said you shouldn't
00:06:11.300 gather for Christmas or Thanksgiving. A man that said you shouldn't get married and have an actual
00:06:16.920 wedding during COVID because it was too dangerous. So a man that had no problem telling you what to
00:06:23.980 do with your life shutting down our schools shutting down countless small businesses that
00:06:29.540 ended up going bankrupt shutting down an entire economy where inflation went through the roof
00:06:35.280 now he doesn't have a lot to say anymore isn't that interesting although it pains me to do so
00:06:43.420 because of the respect i have for the legislative branch of government and my decades-long record
00:06:52.080 of cooperating with congress under the advice of my attorneys i will invoke my right under the
00:07:00.440 fifth amendment of the constitution to refrain from answering your questions thank you wow
00:07:07.860 that is dr anthony fauci invoking his fifth amendment right against self-incrimination
00:07:14.120 the same guy by the way who also got a presidential pardon from joe biden declining to answer
00:07:21.640 any questions from senators investigating the government's pandemic response. Now,
00:07:26.480 this is the highest paid member of the United States government. We're trying to make sure we
00:07:32.020 never let it happen again. And the guy who has, quote, all the answers and had no problem telling
00:07:37.780 you what you could and couldn't do with your life will not answer basic questions. There also was
00:07:43.980 another extraordinary moment. Fauci's attorney repeatedly attempted to speak during the
00:07:50.340 proceedings despite the committee's chairman's instructions not to. Chairman Rand Paul ultimately
00:07:56.200 ordered Capitol Police to remove the attorney from the hearing room after concluding he was
00:08:02.700 disrupting that hearing. Behind you sir that's where you were told to sit and you're not and now
00:08:09.220 you're disrupting the proceedings and so look this is the way Anthony Fauci wants to be remembered
00:08:14.180 for a lawyer not listening to the rules. That's the way you want to be remembered and that's what
00:08:18.900 you're going to do you are not recognized sir security please remove him from the room
00:08:24.020 let the record state that dr. Fauci will still have the advice of the other half a dozen attorneys
00:08:41.680 that he brought along today senator peters now as you could hear senator rampaul state
00:08:47.540 he still had the counsel literally of like dozens of people behind him who were attorneys that he
00:08:55.220 brought with him to the hearing now whether you believe Fauci was a dedicated public service and
00:09:00.440 he was quote unfairly targeted as liberals are saying this is an individual that now refuses to
00:09:07.260 answer no questions at a hearing that it was all about what he did after he took away so many rights
00:09:15.760 of Americans. He completely changed children's lives forever with school that they miss because
00:09:22.820 they shut down schools. Dr. Anthony Fauci was the individual behind that. And we also now know he
00:09:29.320 lied about it, claiming that that is something he never actually did. Now, Donald Trump got in on
00:09:35.000 the action very quickly, stating this for the record at the White House. Watch the whole thing
00:09:41.000 today but more importantly i was a part of the whole fauci i inherited falci he was here from
00:09:46.760 the 1980s so i had him for a period of time and i disagreed with him on a lot i would have kind of
00:09:52.440 closed down the whole country if i listened to him i wait i went the federalist way which is basically
00:09:57.800 let the governors decide and generally speaking the republican governors did very well the
00:10:02.360 democrat governors did not very well but fauci wanted to have nobody wearing masks if you
00:10:08.200 remember and then everybody had to wear five masks as many masks as you could get i mean made a lot
00:10:13.540 of mistakes and uh he wasn't a big factor for me he was a very big factor for biden and if you
00:10:19.900 remember even though we were uh sort of prime time in terms of that whole disaster of covid
00:10:27.600 far people died fewer in the trump administration than in the biden administration we ran we ran
00:10:36.980 Well, Operation Warp Speed was talked about as being one of the great success stories anywhere in the world, actually.
00:10:43.640 And we did a good job.
00:10:45.180 But many more people died under Biden than died in the Trump administration from COVID.
00:10:50.140 COVID was a disaster, but Fauci did not help.
00:10:53.780 Now, not only is Donald Trump absolutely right, but it is important that we remind Americans where we came from and where all this started and why Dr. Fauci is so important.
00:11:03.920 i also want to be clear for millions of americans watching this yeah it's okay to be angry does
00:11:11.820 anthony fauci have the constitutional right to plead the fifth he absolutely does and that is
00:11:16.740 not what i'm angry about the question that i'm angry about is this how is it that the most
00:11:22.480 influential public health official in my lifetime a man that chose to shut down the united states of
00:11:29.880 America, chose not to publicly defend those decisions that affected virtually every family
00:11:38.060 in the United States of America. For years, I go back to remind you, Americans were told to,
00:11:45.160 quote, trust the experts. We were told to trust the scientists. We were told to trust the science.
00:11:51.160 We were told that it was your duty, your obligation as a patriotic American to have
00:11:58.440 your business closed for your schools to shut down. Remember when churches went empty? How many
00:12:05.380 Americans did not find church a safe place? How many of them will never go back to church because
00:12:13.200 of what happened? Families literally missed the funerals of their own loved ones. Children lost
00:12:20.440 countless years of important education and it's affecting their education right now. When you lose
00:12:28.260 those building blocks of two years of school, we now know you never get it back. We also know that
00:12:34.720 workers lost their entire careers. Small businesses, they disappeared forever and never came back.
00:12:41.960 And don't forget about the men and women in our military that served their country,
00:12:45.980 but were fired under the Biden regime for refusing to get the vaccine. Now you add that on top of the
00:12:53.000 sacrifice birthdays, the weddings, the graduations, right, the holiday gatherings, because government
00:12:59.220 leaders insisted that these were, quote, extraordinary measures that were more than
00:13:05.220 necessary. They were mandated. And Anthony Fauci was the one who delivered those messages each and
00:13:13.220 every day. That is why so many Americans are angry and so frustrated by this. Now story number two.
00:13:20.660 But there's also another part of this. It is the fact that Fauci invoked his constitutional right in the most ridiculous way. Why did he do it? Because he doesn't want to go to jail. How simple were the questions? Well, Senator Josh Hawley, just showing the hypocrisy of Anthony Fauci, started asking questions like this. 0.82
00:13:43.040 What day of the week is it today?
00:13:45.620 On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer
00:13:49.260 based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
00:13:52.320 What color tie are you wearing?
00:13:54.200 On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer
00:13:57.840 based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
00:14:01.340 What color is the carpet in front of you?
00:14:03.640 On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer
00:14:06.800 based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.
00:14:10.340 this is the man that told you how to live your life for two years he won't answer the question
00:14:17.300 what color is the carpet he won't answer the question what color tie he was wearing he won't
00:14:23.200 answer the question what day of the week is it this is who anthony fauci is now because the deep
00:14:30.740 state and the democratic party is no longer there to protect him there was also another very
00:14:37.520 interesting moment i want to play for you as well senator moreno to anthony fauci took it up a notch
00:14:43.880 as he explained why so many americans are so angry those policies were put in place 0.61
00:14:51.080 because you had moronic politicians that listened to the words of a megalomaniac who was more 0.99
00:14:59.560 interested in having met a kardashian than the suffering of the american people and that is you 1.00
00:15:06.900 your advice to communities like that to idiotic politicians who enforce those rules 0.99
00:15:15.640 arrested that mom for watching a football game with her own family outside when that story broke 0.99
00:15:25.100 i said to myself i cannot stand i lee on the side and watch this happen it was about six years ago
00:15:32.500 today that I decided I'm going to give up my businesses, sell them all, run for office,
00:15:39.480 run for the United States Senate. Here I am sitting in front of you six years later saying,
00:15:44.040 who the fuck do you think you were for doing that? It is a total disgrace what you did to 1.00
00:15:49.680 this country. Now, you may have noticed there that there was some very blunt language used by
00:15:54.540 that senator. Why? Well, it's because the newly released diary of Anthony Fauci has become a
00:16:00.040 major source of this controversy because it offered an inside look at Fauci's private
00:16:06.020 observations during one of the most consequential periods in modern American history.
00:16:11.540 Yes, he cared more about me and the Kardashians than he did about the people that were dying.
00:16:16.360 And Republican lawmakers are saying this clearly. The diary raises additional questions about his
00:16:22.620 decision making and his public messaging, while Fauci and his supporters, of course, are saying,
00:16:27.620 no no he was amazing now if you think the media is going to flinch you're wrong tmz's harvey levin
00:16:35.620 called the attacks on dr anthony fauci one of the most heartbreaking this is not a joke
00:16:41.760 things he's witnessed in government comparing the push to jail him to the fear and prosecution 0.70
00:16:47.340 in the mccarthy error now to be clear harvey doesn't give a rat's rear end if you missed your
00:16:54.860 kid's wedding or you didn't get to go to the hospital and witness your grandchild being born
00:17:01.040 he doesn't care if your family members couldn't gather for your funeral or couldn't hold your
00:17:06.880 hand while you were in hospice care or in the hospital terminally ill with cancer no he now
00:17:13.040 says you should feel sorry for Anthony Fauci I have not used TMZ's YouTube channel to vent
00:17:22.280 personal feelings about issues, but I'm going to do that today. Watching Anthony Fauci before
00:17:33.060 a congressional hearing taking the Fifth Amendment is just one of the most heartbreaking things I
00:17:40.940 have seen in government in my lifetime. And this is something we need to reckon with,
00:17:49.080 that I'm going to say up front, I have problems the way the CDC handled COVID. I think that
00:17:57.420 they did damage to children, to adults. And I don't think they did it maliciously. I think they
00:18:07.020 did it because they were using their judgment and were overprotective. And I think at times
00:18:16.380 overstated things, things they said they knew but really didn't. And I have personal problems
00:18:23.800 with the way that COVID was handled. That said, Anthony Fauci, over a period of decades,
00:18:33.360 has been an amazing public servant. In the 80s, I had many friends who died of AIDS,
00:18:43.640 It was a horrible, painful death.
00:18:48.540 And I had friends who lived because of Anthony Fauci, because he was willing to look at experimental
00:18:57.540 drugs in a different way than they had looked at them before.
00:19:03.300 And that really resulted in lives saved.
00:19:07.640 And he has done so many other things in his career to thwart epidemics, to save lives,
00:19:18.540 not just in the United States, but all over the world.
00:19:21.180 He has been a dedicated public servant who could have made a lot more money outside of
00:19:27.780 government than inside, but he stayed.
00:19:31.720 And now we are at a point where members of Congress, and yes, you, Rand Paul, are on
00:19:40.020 a witch hunt.
00:19:42.120 And you're, you know, the best I can say for Rand Paul is that he's being really honest.
00:19:47.760 I mean, he has said now, over a period of years, he wants Anthony Fauci in a jail cell.
00:19:53.560 He has said it out loud.
00:19:55.400 He wants him in a jail cell.
00:19:58.440 That's the point of this hearing.
00:20:00.380 why they're doing this. They want to take something that Anthony Fauci says and then
00:20:07.260 claim it amounts to perjury and they want to prosecute him. They want to convict him
00:20:14.080 and they want to throw him in prison. That's the point of this hearing. There is no other
00:20:20.740 point of this hearing. Let me just stop there. I wanted you to hear how far the media will
00:20:27.120 go to defend the indefensible. Let me just rebut that real quick so we can go through
00:20:33.520 what this hearing was actually about. Okay. Why America is frustrated. And I will say this to
00:20:41.380 Harvey Levin at TMZ. Americans remember the shifting guidance that wasn't based in science
00:20:49.040 and they were lied to. We remember being told masks were necessary before they were then told
00:20:56.080 and mandated to wear them we remember the six foot distancing became a nationwide standard
00:21:02.720 with no scientific data backing it we remember changing guidance on schools and then travel and
00:21:09.660 then the vaccines and then the boosters and then more boosters and the more vaccine boosters
00:21:13.200 and we were told that if we got the vaccine we wouldn't get covid those were lies this has
00:21:19.800 nothing to do with putting anthony fauci in jail this is about a man who was drunk on power who
00:21:27.220 chose to be a dictator and a tyrant a take away americans rights take away our basic ability to
00:21:34.820 gather to worship to sing to go to church to go to school to open our businesses that is what today
00:21:45.040 was about. It was about the fact that we were lied to and we were told that it was all based on
00:21:50.940 scientific evidence. We know it's a lie. Hell, we now even know apparently that Anthony Fauci
00:21:57.540 suffered some side effects on the COVID-19 vaccine. And then what did he do? He didn't
00:22:04.600 disclose it and he hid it from the American people. One of the striking moments came before
00:22:10.200 the substantive questioning even got underway. Fauci's attorney, of course, trying to interject
00:22:15.320 during that hearing. Again, trying to take the shots to protect Anthony Fauci. This is about the
00:22:22.840 lack of transparency. This is why Americans still care. And when you have the guy that's in charge
00:22:31.140 of this country, yet again sitting there, after telling all of us how to live our lives for two
00:22:37.020 years invoking the Fifth Amendment, not even telling us what color tie he's wearing or what 0.53
00:22:42.140 color the carpet is, and knowing that he was a liar to the American people with no accountability,
00:22:48.520 that is why Americans are angry right now. Thank you for listening to the 47 Morning Update

00:23:09.200 Why should you listen to Armstrong and Getty On Demand?
00:23:12.860 We're not boring.
00:23:13.840 A lot of news is boring.
00:23:14.840 And tedious.
00:23:15.720 And depressing.
00:23:16.300 And makes you angry.
