00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.700 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.460 Welcome, it is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz.
00:00:07.700 Ben Ferguson with you, Senator.
00:00:09.200 It's amazing technology.
00:00:10.520 This may be the farthest you and I have ever been away from each other while doing a podcast.
00:00:14.540 I'm in Hungary.
00:00:15.580 You're in the United States of America.
00:00:17.480 And the biggest news of the day is you've got an official opponent that is running against you,
00:00:22.860 which brings me to the obvious question.
00:00:25.220 If there's an official opponent, it's official that are you running for re-election in Texas?
00:00:30.800 Hell yes.
00:00:31.780 I'm running for re-election for Senate in Texas.
00:00:34.360 It's going to be a real fight.
00:00:36.180 And I got to say, I think it is great that right after I get a Democrat opponent,
00:00:41.020 you and I have the opportunity to do this podcast, not just across the country,
00:00:46.260 but across continents like the Atlantic Ocean.
00:00:49.040 You're on the other side.
00:00:50.940 That's pretty wild.
00:00:53.100 It's truly incredible to see how this show reaches.
00:00:56.420 And what's also really cool about this podcast, Senator,
00:01:00.020 is there are so many people that get to hear directly from you.
00:01:03.200 Your new opponent is actually attacking you for doing this show.
00:01:07.800 By the way, what time is it where you are, Ben?
00:01:11.960 So right now it is like 6.50 in the morning where I am.
00:01:16.420 You can't make it up.
00:01:17.380 So we're in different days.
00:01:19.240 Like, you're living in the future.
00:01:20.900 I am.
00:01:23.000 If only I had some good stocks over here that I could tell you about.
00:01:28.880 Yeah, what's going up, dude?
00:01:30.200 That would be really valuable.
00:01:31.300 Yeah.
00:01:31.920 Yeah, exactly.
00:01:33.000 What's happening?
00:01:33.860 Yeah, bingo.
00:01:34.880 It's like, well, we're in a different world, a different day.
00:01:36.820 The weirdest part is flying home on Saturday will be time traveling backwards in time,
00:01:42.200 if you think about it, because I actually land on the same day that I left,
00:01:45.160 almost the same time that I left the country I'm in right now.
00:01:47.600 It still messes with me every time.
00:01:51.200 Well, just sleep on the plane, and you'll adjust to the new time zone.
00:01:56.380 There you go.
00:01:56.940 I like it.
00:01:57.480 So let's talk about this re-election and how important this re-election is.
00:02:02.300 There are a lot of people that are going to ask the question,
00:02:04.420 Senator, why are you running for re-election?
00:02:07.140 And one of the issues that I think is just blaring in our face right now
00:02:11.540 is the wide-open border and what is about to happen at our border with Title 42
00:02:17.240 and how it's going to hurt Texas.
00:02:19.940 Let's talk a little bit about that.
00:02:22.680 Well, sure.
00:02:23.640 So Title 42, the authority to deport healthy adults, is going to expire next week.
00:02:30.220 And we are going to see a massive, massive surge in illegal immigration.
00:02:36.680 And the thing to understand, what has happened under Joe Biden in the last two and a half years?
00:02:44.080 We went from Biden came into office and he inherited the lowest rate of illegal immigration in 45 years.
00:02:53.060 He inherited success.
00:02:54.380 This problem was solved more than it has been in decades, in almost 50 years.
00:03:02.480 And within days, Biden created a crisis.
00:03:09.340 He did three decisions in the first week.
00:03:13.060 He halted construction of the border wall.
00:03:15.600 He reinstated catch and release.
00:03:18.240 And he pulled out of the incredibly successful Remain in Mexico agreement.
00:03:22.200 The consequence of those three decisions, he created the worst rate of illegal immigration
00:03:32.040 in the history of our nation.
00:03:35.940 Initially, for the first year, it was the worst rate in 60 years.
00:03:41.120 Now, today, we have never had illegal immigration recorded at the rates we have right now.
00:03:48.280 Over six million people have crossed illegally since Biden has become president.
00:03:54.160 And the amazing thing is, so as we've talked about in this podcast, when Alejandro Mayorkas testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee,
00:04:03.800 he said, you know, I care.
00:04:05.640 I really care.
00:04:07.200 I care about the migrants dying. 1.00
00:04:09.260 I care about the women being sexually assaulted. 0.99
00:04:12.540 I care about the children being brutally assaulted.
00:04:14.920 I care about the drug overdoses.
00:04:17.200 I care.
00:04:18.800 And you'll recall my answer, which is, no, you don't.
00:04:22.860 You do not care.
00:04:24.340 And how do we know this?
00:04:26.020 Because if you cared, you would behave differently.
00:04:30.540 If you cared, you would stop making the decisions that are causing people to die, that are causing people to be brutally assaulted,
00:04:42.300 that are causing the Mexican drug cartels to make tens of billions of dollars.
00:04:46.980 But not only does Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Alejandro Mayorkas and practically every Democrat in the U.S. Congress,
00:04:56.420 not only do they not care because they won't change the decisions, they're doubling down to make it worse.
00:05:02.680 And you need to understand, by ending Title 42 next week, their objective is to turn 6 million illegal immigrants into 10, into 12 million, into 15 million. 0.69
00:05:18.380 They want the number to explode.
00:05:20.460 And Mayorkas' job, as he views it, it's not to stop illegal immigration.
00:05:25.460 He's not trying to stop it.
00:05:26.740 It is to make it more efficient, it is to make it faster, it is to process them more quickly.
00:05:32.980 In other words, he wants to be the FedEx of transporting human trafficking subjects to every place in America.
00:05:44.360 And I've got to say, that is twisted, is perverse, and Texas is seeing the very real consequences, as is every other community in America.
00:05:54.020 You know, it's interesting.
00:05:55.080 Being over here in Hungary, Senator, I'm going to be heading to Ukraine tomorrow.
00:05:59.660 And they had a briefing beforehand.
00:06:01.180 They were talking about the protocol at the border.
00:06:03.220 More than a million people have fled Ukraine into Hungary.
00:06:06.540 But they still have an orderly process.
00:06:08.960 It's not a wide-open border.
00:06:10.860 And when you see how secure they're keeping things, even with a humanitarian crisis,
00:06:18.520 and you look at what this administration has done in the United States of America,
00:06:21.280 it really is a striking contrast between the two.
00:06:24.280 The policy that you just mentioned.
00:06:26.160 I mean, even the Biden White House this week, they claim that illegal immigration is down by more than 90%,
00:06:31.520 and then immediately they contradict that by saying, well, we need a bunch of active military troops to go and assist the border.
00:06:37.740 Look, it's a flat-out lie.
00:06:41.120 And let me underscore something.
00:06:42.660 So I did a press conference with a number of senators in D.C. this week where we talked about Title 42 expiring,
00:06:49.200 and one of the reporters in kind of a snarky tone said, well, I thought you guys liked sending troops to the border.
00:06:55.780 Why are you saying it's not a good thing?
00:06:57.580 And I answered it, and the answer is worth reflecting on.
00:07:02.260 So Joe Biden has announced he's sending 1,500 troops to the border.
00:07:06.360 Look, that can be a useful thing.
00:07:09.280 If you're actually enforcing the border and following federal law,
00:07:13.700 having additional manpower boots on the ground is a very important part of securing the border,
00:07:18.520 whether that is more border patrol agents, and I have repeatedly introduced legislation to triple the number of border patrol agents,
00:07:27.320 or whether that is having active-duty military on the border, or whether that is having Texas DPS officers on the border,
00:07:34.880 or whether that is having National Guard on the border.
00:07:36.940 All of those are good and positive steps if you're following the law.
00:07:42.780 Now, here's why it makes zero difference under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
00:07:49.780 Because they are implementing catch and release, which means they're not deporting the people they catch.
00:07:57.120 So the 1,500 soldiers who are down there, who are honorable men and women who are serving their country,
00:08:04.220 who I'm willing to bet are pissed that they're being used as political props,
00:08:09.860 if they're down there, let's say they apprehend someone.
00:08:14.900 The soldiers don't have the authority to deport anyone.
00:08:18.380 So what they do if they apprehend someone is they hand them over to the Biden administration.
00:08:23.640 And what does the Biden administration do?
00:08:26.000 Let's them go. 0.99
00:08:27.000 Actually, even worse than lets them go.
00:08:29.260 Asks, where in America do you want to go?
00:08:30.920 You want to go to Philadelphia?
00:08:31.980 Okay.
00:08:32.640 We'll put you on a bus or a plane to Philadelphia.
00:08:34.540 You want to go to Miami?
00:08:35.600 You're headed to Miami.
00:08:36.640 You want to go to Phoenix?
00:08:37.900 You're headed to Phoenix.
00:08:38.580 The Biden administration is the last mile of the human trafficking network,
00:08:45.420 which means it doesn't matter whether there are 1,500 troops on the border or 5,000 troops or 10,000 or 50,000 troops.
00:08:57.460 They could have troops stationed every 100 yards.
00:09:00.540 It would not make a difference because when they stop someone, they would hand them over to the Biden administration and they'd let them go.
00:09:09.480 And as long as that is the case, the only reason that Joe Biden is sending soldiers to the southern border is for the photo op to say,
00:09:19.100 they see, look what I'm doing, but they know full well the objective is next week.
00:09:26.060 They want more illegal aliens than we had last week.
00:09:29.360 And the week after that, they want more than we have next week.
00:09:33.500 Senator, I want to play for you.
00:09:35.300 And it's not surprising.
00:09:36.900 CNN, when there's a camera and they have to show you what's really happening at the border,
00:09:42.000 they can't lie to you anymore about just how bad this crisis is.
00:09:45.900 And I want you to hear what they even reported in El Paso yesterday.
00:09:49.940 But before we get to that, I want to tell you about our friends over at Chalk.

00:11:08.280 It's Chalk, C-H-O-Q.com, promo code Ben.
00:11:12.860 Senator, you know how bad the crisis is.
00:11:15.580 If you go to the border, you've been there many times as a senator from Texas.
00:11:19.840 I've been there several times.
00:11:21.280 There's no doubt the humanitarian crisis that is happening.
00:11:25.240 CNN is now forced to tell the truth.
00:11:27.620 They went to El Paso and this is what their reporter said.
00:11:31.120 This is not new, by the way, but they're finally admitting it is a major problem.
00:11:35.260 It's difficult to describe, Jim, with words.
00:11:39.420 So I want to walk so you can walk with me and just see the magnitude of the number of individuals who are around this church here.
00:11:47.060 Just streets from downtown El Paso.
00:11:50.220 A lot of these individuals you'll see are males, adult males.
00:11:54.900 A lot of the women with children are actually in shelters, in a network of shelters throughout El Paso.
00:12:00.840 As you mentioned, the city of El Paso, under a state of emergency, they declared a disaster because of the influx.
00:12:08.560 Because they know that once Title 42 lifts, that there is going to be a greater influx of migrants.
00:12:16.240 But here's the thing.
00:12:17.100 So process this with me.
00:12:18.760 Title 42 allows immigration agents to swiftly return migrants back to Mexico.
00:12:23.200 So the obvious question, as you look around, is then why are there so many migrants? 1.00
00:12:27.500 If the federal government is actually implementing this Title 42, then why are there so many migrants out here? 1.00
00:12:35.280 Well, here's what we know.
00:12:36.560 From talking to migrants and community leaders and officials on both sides of the border,
00:12:40.560 I can tell you that thousands of migrants, nearly 40,000, are in at least four northern Mexican cities.
00:12:47.280 And frustration is boiling over.
00:12:49.920 A lot of them are deciding to cross the border.
00:12:52.600 That's why you see so many out here.
00:12:55.140 Some of them are turning themselves in to border authorities, Jim.
00:12:59.140 Others are deciding to cross the border illegally because they've lost patience.
00:13:03.860 I mean, Senator, not only is CNN falling over themselves to not refer to them as illegal immigrants,
00:13:08.620 but they're showing you what's been happening now for a long time and admitting this is a state of emergency,
00:13:14.900 and yet this administration refuses to deal with it because they created this and wanted this to happen.
00:13:20.360 They want it to happen, and they want it to get worse.
00:13:23.160 Look, there's a reason why Joe Biden and Kamala Harris don't want to go to our southern border,
00:13:30.940 because you can't actually see what's happening there and defend it.
00:13:36.320 It's gotten so bad.
00:13:38.440 Listen, CNN is a leftist propagandist network.
00:13:42.440 But if you listen to them, that little clip there sounded like Fox News.
00:13:47.400 And the reason is they actually had the TV cameras going.
00:13:50.940 And you can see the misery, the disaster that is unfolding.
00:13:56.280 Where is AOC?
00:13:57.340 I assume she still owns her white pantsuit.
00:14:00.360 That she went and posed outside of a migrant cage crying for the suffering.
00:14:07.100 She apparently doesn't care about the six and a half million people who've crossed illegally since Biden's become president.
00:14:14.380 Now it's not a crisis.
00:14:15.800 Now it's not a priority. 0.99
00:14:18.360 The Democrats are utterly hypocritical on this front. 0.98
00:14:23.600 And, you know, a lot of people ask me, why do they do this? 0.98
00:14:27.100 And I got to say, Ben, the only explanation I can come up with is they look at six million illegal immigrants and they think, OK, those people are eventually going to be Democrat voters.
00:14:41.640 And so they see a political advantage from changing the electorate of America to ensure Democrat power forever.
00:14:51.080 OK, that's cynical.
00:14:54.460 But what's amazing is they're willing to look the other way at illegal immigrants dying day after day after day. 0.94
00:15:02.880 I asked Mayorkas how many migrants died crossing illegally in the country last year.
00:15:07.020 He said, I don't know.
00:15:08.560 I have no idea.
00:15:09.380 Of course he doesn't, because he doesn't care.
00:15:10.980 The number was 853, but he doesn't care.
00:15:13.120 I asked him how many women were sexually assaulted, how many children were physically or sexually assaulted.
00:15:21.420 He said, I don't know.
00:15:22.400 He doesn't care.
00:15:23.840 Last year, we had 100,000 people die of drug overdoses, the majority of which was from Chinese fentanyl coming across the border.
00:15:33.000 He says, oh, I care deeply about that.
00:15:35.720 But not only is he not doing anything to stop it, he's putting in place policies that will make it worse.
00:15:41.980 That's the state of politics right now on our border.
00:15:46.840 And if you see it, it is horrific.
00:15:51.660 It's not humane.
00:15:52.960 It's not compassionate.
00:15:54.460 It is a disaster.
00:15:56.560 I want to ask you something else, Senator, and you go back to 2018.
00:16:02.300 Kamala Harris called deploying troops to the border, quote, inappropriate, political, and a demonstration for the TV cameras.
00:16:10.960 Her administration, with the president, is now saying we do need to send people to the border in uniform.
00:16:18.460 Why is no one bringing this up in the mainstream media?
00:16:21.740 Because the mainstream media are not journalists anymore.
00:16:25.660 And by the way, I never use the word mainstream.
00:16:29.420 They are not mainstream.
00:16:31.060 They are Marxists.
00:16:32.700 They are propagandists.
00:16:34.480 They are Pravda.
00:16:36.200 And look, we've talked about this.
00:16:38.220 Donald Trump broke the media.
00:16:41.260 They hate him so much.
00:16:42.940 It used to be, you know, back six, seven years ago.
00:16:51.000 These left-wing networks, whether CNN or even MSNBC, much less ABC, CBS, NBC, viewed their jobs.
00:17:00.960 They would tell you we're not biased.
00:17:02.980 They would describe their job.
00:17:05.160 We report both sides.
00:17:06.480 We report the facts.
00:17:07.520 We let you decide.
00:17:08.400 We don't editorialize.
00:17:10.040 They would espouse principles of journalism.
00:17:13.780 Now, they were terrible at following them, but they actually held them out as this is what we're trying to do.
00:17:20.400 None of them do that anymore.
00:17:22.800 They don't view their mission as reporting both sides.
00:17:27.140 They view their mission as we are advocates to preach our political ideology, to flood the zone. 0.74
00:17:36.600 That's what Howell Reigns, the former managing editor of the New York Times, referred to it as.
00:17:41.360 Because they view their jobs, they're not just Democrats, they're the left-wing of the Democrat Party.
00:17:46.300 So in illegal immigration, they want this crisis to happen.
00:17:51.320 And critically, they want nobody to know about it.
00:17:54.240 I mean, look, the maddening thing is, if you listen to Verdict, you watch Fox News or Newsmax, you know about the crisis.
00:18:03.700 But if you're a typical American voter, if you're not paying much attention to politics, if you're watching one of the corporate media outlets, you don't know that this is happening.
00:18:16.100 Because they can't defend it on the merits, so their only defense is ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist.

00:18:55.400 I want to ask you one other thing about Mayorkas real quick. 0.77
00:18:58.700 And after this Title 42 expires, is it going to be easier to impeach him if Republicans decide to move that way in the House?
00:19:06.940 Should they move towards that?
00:19:08.380 But before we get to that, I want to tell you about our good friends at Guess of Precious Metals.

00:20:20.860 That's AugustaPreciousMetals.com
00:20:23.300 Call them, 877-4-GOLD-IRA
00:20:27.620 Senator, you and I have talked about this a lot on this show, and that is about just the total abuse of power by Mayorkas not doing his job, what his job is supposed to be. 0.50
00:20:40.500 But after Title 42 expires, will that give Republicans even more leverage to hold them accountable for what is happening and unfolding, as CNN put it, a total state of emergency humanitarian crisis?
00:20:55.900 Well, sure.
00:20:56.660 The worse the disaster gets, the stronger the case is for impeaching Mayorkas. 0.99
00:21:01.620 I would impeach Mayorkas today. 1.00
00:21:03.700 And, listen, one of the challenges is that we just have a four-vote majority in the House, so they've got to make sure they don't have five wobbly Republicans.
00:21:15.440 And it's not clear whether that's the case or not.
00:21:18.660 I think that's one of the things that is slowing it up.
00:21:22.440 I believe they should impeach him today.
00:21:26.080 And the worse it gets, the stronger the case gets.
00:21:29.540 Let's introduce the audience to what's going to be happening in this re-election campaign for you in Texas.
00:21:38.540 Your opponent is a hardcore liberal.
00:21:41.640 Some would even describe him as even left of Joe Biden.
00:21:45.660 He is a member of Congress.
00:21:47.980 He has officially announced, Colin Alder, that he is running against you for the Senate.
00:21:51.940 Let's talk a little bit about who this individual is and what this means for the race.
00:21:55.600 Well, sure.
00:21:57.540 He's a very liberal Democrat congressman from Dallas, Texas.
00:22:01.660 He played in the NFL.
00:22:04.300 And in 2018, he ran and beat Pete Sessions for the congressional seat near downtown Dallas, Highland Park University Park.
00:22:16.440 The, like, uber-wealthy people from Dallas, he beat Pete Sessions there.
00:22:21.280 Now, Dallas County was, at the time, trending blue in a big, big way.
00:22:27.780 The Democrats were in the process of more than doubling Democrat turnout statewide.
00:22:34.020 It was my last re-elect, and the Democrats were flooding the zone trying to beat me.
00:22:40.200 Colin Allred, his voting record is extreme left.
00:22:44.120 Now, if you watch the corrupt corporate media, they will use words for him like moderate, bipartisan, middle of the road.
00:22:55.480 Every one of those words is a lie.
00:22:57.660 Now, let me be clear.
00:22:58.400 I don't know the guy.
00:23:00.760 I don't know him personally at all because in the six years he's been in Congress, if he's done anything, I don't know about it.
00:23:10.840 And he certainly has not been involved in any significant issues.
00:23:13.640 I know virtually every member of the Congressional Caucus.
00:23:17.220 I don't know him.
00:23:19.060 But I do know his voting record.
00:23:21.320 And it's interesting.
00:23:22.660 The media is trying to say he's a moderate guy.
00:23:27.040 What percentage do you think, for the first four years he was in Congress, what percent of the time do you think he voted with Nancy Pelosi?
00:23:35.260 I'm going to go 95-plus.
00:23:37.080 So, 95 would be a good guess.
00:23:40.920 It's not 95.
00:23:42.400 It's not 96.
00:23:44.020 It's not 97.
00:23:45.720 It's not 98.
00:23:47.340 It's not 99.
00:23:49.360 It's not 99.5.
00:23:52.180 It's not 99.8.
00:23:55.360 It's not 99.9.
00:23:59.080 Colin Allred voted with Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time.
00:24:05.120 His first four years in Congress.
00:24:07.460 In other words, his service in Congress, representing Dallas, Texas, would not have been different in any way whatsoever if he'd walked in the day he took the oath of office, handed his voting card to Nancy Pelosi and said,
00:24:21.800 Nancy, you're now a congresswoman from San Francisco and a congresswoman from Dallas, Texas. 0.67
00:24:29.140 You can vote them both however you like.
00:24:32.560 That's really astonishing.
00:24:34.520 What that means is on every issue Texans care about, he's voted wrong.
00:24:39.840 So he's voted for open borders over and over again.
00:24:43.180 He's voted for higher taxes over and over again.
00:24:46.320 He's voted for 87,000 new IRS agents.
00:24:49.800 He's voted for massive new regulations.
00:24:51.920 He's voted for the Biden administration's assault on oil and gas and energy production here in the United States.
00:25:03.000 Amazingly enough, Colin Allred's voting record is also to the left of Joe Biden.
00:25:12.400 So there are two instances where Colin Allred voted with Nancy Pelosi and not Joe Biden.
00:25:21.400 One, concerning the D.C. City Council when they passed a law lowering the punishment in D.C. for violent crime, lowering the punishment for murderers, lowering the punishment for rapists,
00:25:38.120 releasing violent criminals into the community.
00:25:41.840 And Congress repealed that, passed legislation repealing that.
00:25:49.620 Republicans voted against it.
00:25:51.300 A number of Democrats voted against it.
00:25:55.400 And even Joe Biden said, D.C.'s gone too far.
00:26:00.300 I disagree with their releasing murderers and violent criminals.
00:26:03.360 You know what?
00:26:04.420 You know who didn't?
00:26:05.640 Colin Allred.
00:26:06.360 He and Nancy Pelosi said, nope, if there's a murderer, we need to let him go.
00:26:12.160 The other major place that he diverted from Joe Biden is on voting to conclude that the COVID pandemic, the COVID health emergency was over.
00:26:25.520 Joe Biden said the health emergency was over.
00:26:28.800 But yet when we voted on it, he said, nope, we need to keep the emergency going.
00:26:33.880 We need government power to the end of time.
00:26:37.600 Now, look, it's fine if he wants to be a left wing activist.
00:26:43.060 But those views are not the views of the people of Texas.
00:26:47.940 But let me tell you something.
00:26:49.940 This race is going to be one hell of a fight. 0.99
00:26:55.900 My last Senate reelect was in 2018.
00:27:00.360 In 2018, it was the most expensive Senate race in the history of our nation in hard money.
00:27:08.580 Now, we were outspent three to one.
00:27:14.120 They flooded the zone.
00:27:15.740 Let me tell you what Democrats did in 2018.
00:27:18.860 They increased Democrat turnout in the state of Texas from one point eight million all the way up to four million.
00:27:27.360 And they more than doubled Democrat turnout in Texas.
00:27:30.900 Now, we saw that coming.
00:27:33.420 We leaned in hard and we increased Republican turnout from two point eight million all the way up to four point two million.
00:27:44.660 But point two was the whole margin we had.
00:27:47.180 We won by two hundred thousand votes out of more than eight million votes cast.
00:27:52.680 That shows the kind of battle it's going to be.
00:27:56.860 They are going to flood the state of Texas with cash.
00:27:59.940 And Texas is the single biggest prize for Democrats in the country.
00:28:04.680 And and at some level, Ben, it's not rocket science.
00:28:08.920 If you're a Democrat after Donald Trump, there is no Republican in the country you want to beat more than me.
00:28:17.800 And so they're going to flood the state with cash trying to flip Texas blue.
00:28:23.340 You know, this reminds me of the billboard that's up.
00:28:26.600 Don't California, my Texas.
00:28:28.900 That's really what this election is going to be about with a guy that votes with Nancy Pelosi 100 percent of the time.
00:28:35.840 He's going to turn Texas into California.
00:28:38.200 That's the goal of the outside money.
00:28:39.700 And you mentioned that amount of money.
00:28:41.100 He's raised some cash, a couple million dollars after he announced he was running against you.
00:28:45.620 But this is going to be outside interest.
00:28:47.640 This is not going to be Texas money coming in.
00:28:50.700 This is a massive amount of money coming in from out of the state trying to California or Texas.
00:28:56.320 No different than when Beto was running against you.
00:28:58.620 The majority of his money that he was raising was from outside the state.
00:29:01.400 That's exactly right.
00:29:05.280 There is cash flooding into his campaign in the 36 hours since he's announced.
00:29:11.900 And this is what he's publicly revealed.
00:29:15.060 He's raised over two million dollars in a day and a half.
00:29:19.200 That is indicative of the tidal wave of cash that is going to come in.
00:29:26.580 Look, if you're a leftist, if you're a Marxist, if you're an anarchist, if you're an Antifa terrorist in Manhattan, in San Francisco, in Chicago, you're giving money to this guy.
00:29:39.660 They all are.
00:29:41.820 And so that degree of cash, and I will say to our fabulous verdict listeners, if you want to counteract that, you should go to TedCruz.org, TedCruz.org, TedCruz.org, and counteract that because they are coming after me.
00:29:57.000 And you know what's amazing, Ben?
00:29:58.940 Do you know what his first line of attack is?
00:30:04.020 What's that?
00:30:05.020 The podcast.
00:30:08.320 He is attacking the podcast.
00:30:11.560 And in particular, he has come out and said that, well, Cruz is spending all of this time, three days a week, doing a podcast.
00:30:23.280 He's a podcaster and not a senator.
00:30:26.540 And he said, I wouldn't have time.
00:30:28.380 He said, I represent just one district.
00:30:30.220 I wouldn't have time to do a podcast.
00:30:32.620 Well, maybe that's right.
00:30:33.480 Maybe you wouldn't have time.
00:30:34.440 Some of us actually work.
00:30:37.360 And I can tell you, as a senator, I am working every single day.
00:30:44.360 And this podcast is a huge part of my job because a huge part of my job is communicating with my constituents.
00:30:53.240 I believe very much that in what Margaret Thatcher said, first you win the argument, then you win the vote.
00:31:00.920 We launch this podcast in order to reach the hearts and minds of Texans and Americans, to reach people across the country, particularly given the corruption of the corporate media.
00:31:16.700 That if you're an American who cares about freedom, who cares about free enterprise, because the corporate media is so dishonest that they lie to you.
00:31:29.620 This podcast exists to give our listeners information so that they can go and talk to their friends, talk to their neighbors, talk to their family members and tell the truth.
00:31:41.540 This podcast, it's not peripheral to my job as senator.
00:31:46.580 It's integral to my job as senator.
00:31:48.460 Look, the last podcast we did on Wednesday, actually on Tuesday, we released it a day early on Tuesday because we did a deep dive on the dishonest smears and attacks on Clarence Thomas.
00:32:00.540 Why? Because Tuesday morning, there was a big hearing in the Judiciary Committee where the Democrats were going to try to amplify those attacks.
00:32:08.060 And I wanted people across Texas and across the country to have the actual facts and information.
00:32:14.920 And so it's bizarre that that this left wing Democrat is using the fact that I've been effective in communicating with Texans and Americans as saying, well, that makes him a bad senator.
00:32:29.460 He should not communicate. And by the way, look, Colin Allred goes and does interviews.
00:32:34.820 Now, mind you, he does interviews with MSNBC with really friendly interviewers that, you know, ask him questions like, tell me, are you more handsome or brilliant?
00:32:44.520 But you know what? If you're a left wing Democrat, you go on MSNBC, people go donate online and you raise two million dollars in 36 hours.
00:32:54.120 So there's a cash machine that comes from this. This podcast is designed for one purpose, to inform, to educate, to mobilize, to prepare Texans and Americans to engage in the major issues of the day and for us to to win, to pull the country back from the brink.
00:33:17.120 And and it is it is right at the heart of my job as a senator.
00:33:23.480 Yeah, you mentioned being able to not only inform people, but give them the tools they need to ask tough questions.
00:33:29.860 Clarence Thomas, in the episode that you just mentioned, went viral.
00:33:32.880 It was it was one of our most shared episodes that we've ever had because people wanted to tell their family and their friends about this backstory.
00:33:42.140 Let's give a little bit of an update on what went down in Congress with this attack on Clarence Thomas and really the attack on the Supreme Court from the Democrats.
00:33:51.240 Before we do that, I want to tell you about our good friends at Patriot Mobile.

00:35:18.640 Senator, you know, Clarence Thomas is a Supreme Court justice that the Democrats have really come in and gone after him.
00:35:25.960 They want him off the Supreme Court.
00:35:27.440 I think a lot of this comes down to what a threat he is to the Democratic Party.
00:35:33.000 They're attacking him in ways that are shocking to me.
00:35:35.820 Many believe it's in a racist manner.
00:35:37.920 You talked about the facts, and you also talked about what was going to happen in Congress this week.
00:35:43.460 Give a quick update on how this all went down.
00:35:46.100 Well, we had the hearing on Tuesday that we talked about the last podcast, where the Democrats engaged in their smear attack on Clarence Thomas and the Supreme Court.
00:35:57.460 And their twin objectives, number one, they want to delegitimize the court, because the court is the one institution of the federal government that they do not control right now.
00:36:08.360 And they are furious that there is a majority on the court of constitutionalists who are willing to follow the law.
00:36:18.180 And so they've decided to hell with America, to hell with the rule of law, to hell with the Constitution.
00:36:24.240 They want to tear down the Supreme Court.
00:36:26.960 They – you see Democrat after Democrat after Democrat saying the Supreme Court is corrupt.
00:36:32.840 It is broken.
00:36:33.600 It is terrible.
00:36:34.300 And not a one of them cares about what are the effects to this country of a concerted political campaign to delegitimize the court.
00:36:45.540 But they want every decision of the court to be treated as – look, AOC went on national television and said we should stop obeying and listening to decisions of the court.
00:36:57.680 And you want to talk about a dangerous statement when you're urging defy the rule of law, defy our judiciary.
00:37:06.840 I mean that goes right to the heart of undermining our constitutional system.
00:37:12.420 But their second objective, and it is a very deliberate objective, is to go after Clarence Thomas personally.
00:37:18.200 They hate him.
00:37:19.620 They loathe him with a degree of animosity that is qualitatively different from any other conservative.
00:37:26.800 Listen, Antonin Scalia was every bit as conservative as Clarence Thomas.
00:37:31.760 William Rehnquist, my old boss, was every bit as conservative as Clarence Thomas.
00:37:36.300 And yet the left did not despise them.
00:37:38.880 They didn't like how they voted.
00:37:40.780 But they didn't despise them.
00:37:42.980 The left hates – and I don't think hate is too strong a word – they hate Clarence Thomas because he's an African-American man who dares to be a conservative. 0.50
00:37:54.200 And their view, it is, I think, frankly racist. 0.91
00:37:58.440 It is condescending, which is that if you are black, you are not allowed to disagree with the leftist orthodoxy. 0.94
00:38:06.480 By the way, the same thing is true if you're Hispanic. 0.53
00:38:09.220 It's one of the reasons the left hates me so much because as an Hispanic guy, I'm supposed to be for open borders.
00:38:15.980 I'm supposed to be for these left-wing policies.
00:38:19.140 And this is – what Clarence Thomas is facing is a political campaign.
00:38:25.960 It is not an objective inquiry into ethics.
00:38:29.120 It is a political attack just like if someone was running for president or senator or governor, they'd face a political attack.
00:38:37.240 And the problem is justices are not equipped to defend themselves.
00:38:42.580 They don't have any political staff.
00:38:44.460 They don't have any experience.
00:38:45.600 They don't have the temperament.
00:38:46.880 It's a political attack where the victim of the attack is unable to fight back, which means the rest of us have to.
00:38:55.740 And so that's what I'm trying to do.
00:38:58.420 It's why we put out the last podcast early.
00:39:00.780 But I'll give you some good news.
00:39:03.420 We had the hearing, and it did not go well for Democrats.
00:39:07.860 By the end of it, Democrats had left the room.
00:39:10.880 I think they realized, wow, we're looking really bad. 0.98
00:39:13.820 We're looking hypocritical.
00:39:15.120 It's obvious that we're applying a double standard, that the things we're criticizing Clarence Thomas for, liberal justices did the same or more of it,
00:39:26.200 whether it was Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, or Sonny Sotomayor.
00:39:31.200 And so I think that was a significant victory that the hearing went so badly for Democrats.
00:39:38.180 But in the couple of days since the hearing, every day a new attack has come out on Clarence Thomas.
00:39:46.560 Yeah, it's clear that it's orchestrated, and they're not going to back down from their attacks on Clarence Thomas.
00:39:52.000 On the next podcast, and I want to just get people ready for this, we're going to be talking a lot about what's happening with this Hunter Biden case.
00:40:00.460 But I do want to get, Senator, your initial reaction.
00:40:02.920 Not only did Biden's attorneys meet with the Justice Department and their headquarters in downtown Washington last week,
00:40:08.700 but Senator Grassley is now demanding answers after a whistleblower is alleging FBI document linked to Biden in a criminal scheme.
00:40:19.240 I want to get quickly your reaction to that headline. 0.89
00:40:23.440 It's a big damn deal. 0.55
00:40:25.080 The evidence keeps piling up, not just of Hunter Biden's corruption, but of the corruption that goes straight to the top to Joe Biden. 0.96
00:40:33.320 As we've talked about at great length on this podcast, the tell, I think the Biden DOJ will indict Hunter Biden.
00:40:41.060 But if they indict him for personal tax issues or for lying on his gun permit application, that will be the tell that they're being political,
00:40:52.720 that they're trying to focus on offenses that are just personal to him, that they can say, listen, he's a troubled soul.
00:40:59.940 He has substance abuse issues.
00:41:01.400 Because the scandal, the issue of public concern is the corruption of daddy, of Joe Biden when he was vice president and when he was president.
00:41:14.800 And the evidence keeps growing of that.
00:41:17.420 The next podcast will do a deep dive into that evidence.
