Verdict with Ted Cruz - Comrade Mamdani & Gavin Newsom-Commie, Jihadist & the Dem Party Embracing the Nutty Extreme

00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.

00:00:02.700 Guaranteed human.

00:00:05.440 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.

00:00:09.080 And Senator, we've got a couple big topics to talk about today, including,

00:00:12.740 I think it's fair to say the Democratic Party now has just decided, screw it.

00:00:16.460 We're just going to totally embrace Marxism, socialism, communism.

00:00:20.060 That's the future of the party.

00:00:21.820 Those are our biggest names in the party.

00:00:23.720 And Mondani is probably going to be the mayor of New York City.

00:00:26.240 Look, Comrade Mondani is apparently the future of the Democrat Party.

00:00:33.060 The Democrat Party is now explicitly, openly, unapologetically communist and unapologetically jihadist.

00:00:39.400 This guy is so extreme.

00:00:41.500 And yet the Democrats in New York don't seem to care.

00:00:45.520 They will vote for any radical.

00:00:48.640 They're enamored with the extreme left wing.

00:00:51.580 And listen, you're seeing the Democrat Party elected leadership, Kathy Hochul, Hakeem Jeffries, rally around him and say,

00:01:00.640 this is the face of the Democrat Party.

00:01:02.560 We're going to break down just how radical and extreme Comrade Mondani's record is and how dangerous that is for America.

00:01:11.060 We're also going to talk about how the Democrats and the corporate media are losing their mind,

00:01:18.660 irrationally melting down over the fact that President Trump is building a brand new ballroom at the White House.

00:01:25.400 And that is apparently the greatest crisis facing America,

00:01:29.960 is that the president has raised $300 million to raise a ballroom for future presidents to host state dinners

00:01:36.020 and host events at the White House.

00:01:37.800 And it's clear that democracy is melting down.

00:01:40.720 They're not worried about a communist becoming mayor of New York City.

00:01:44.220 They're not worried about a jihadist becoming mayor of New York City.

00:01:47.520 They're worried that there's going to be, bless my heart, a ballroom at the White House.

00:01:54.000 Yeah, it is really incredible.

00:01:55.580 But before we do that, I want to tell you about our good friends over at Berna.

00:01:59.120 For me, being able to protect my family is my number one priority.

00:02:03.240 And you've heard me talk to my good friend Josh from Berna about real stories of people just like you and me

00:02:09.180 that have used their Berna launcher to protect themselves and their families.

00:02:13.360 Now, Berna is a handheld pistol that fires both kinetic rounds and chemical irritants to separate you from an attacker.

00:02:20.300 You can see the videos of how this works at Berna.com.

00:02:23.840 And I'll tell you more about that in a moment.

00:02:25.920 But Josh is back with me today to tell a story of how a Berna launcher could help avoid a tragedy.

00:02:31.680 This was actually a story that happened in my hometown of Houston.

00:02:36.260 This is such a tragic story that just recently happened.

00:02:39.300 One night recently here in Houston, an 11-year-old Julian Guzman and his cousin were banging on neighbors' doors

00:02:45.000 and running away before they were answered, a generations-old game that we all know as Ding Dong Ditch.

00:02:50.240 Well, when they came to the residence of Gonzalo Leon Jr.,

00:02:52.760 Gonzalo would later state that the two banged on his door multiple times.

00:02:56.800 And believing they were there to try to break into his home,

00:02:59.480 Gonzalo exited the house and fired at Julian with a handgun, ultimately killing him.

00:03:04.380 Now, while in Texas, like many states, we have strong stand-your-ground and castle doctrine laws,

00:03:09.680 but homeowners still may only use deadly force when it's immediately necessary to prevent assault, robbery,

00:03:15.320 or other crimes after someone unlawfully enters their property.

00:03:18.120 And I think everyone can agree that no matter where you live, and in this case, that did not meet those requirements.

00:03:24.380 And unfortunately, the homeowner in this case has now been arrested for murder with a bond said at a million dollars,

00:03:28.940 and prosecutors have stated that they will be seeking the death penalty.

00:03:31.920 If a homeowner thinks someone may be breaking in, what should their priorities be,

00:03:36.440 and how should Berna fit into that plan is a really important question everyone should be asking.

00:03:42.020 No matter where you live, your plan should be to escape, to get to a safe location.

00:03:46.880 And many times that doesn't mean engaging the intruders directly.

00:03:50.100 Berna's great for using either the chemical rounds or the kinetic rounds to buy you and your family time 1.00

00:03:54.780 to get out and get to safety, which should be your main priority.

00:03:58.040 If you want to know more about exactly what Berna can do to help you protect your family,

00:04:04.120 see the videos and see how it works.

00:04:06.340 Go to Berna, B-Y-R-N-A dot com. 1.00

00:04:09.200 There's a reason why I bought it for all of my family members and why I have it in every one of my cars.

00:04:14.340 Berna, B-Y-R-N-A dot com.

00:04:16.780 Again, that's Berna dot com.

00:04:19.280 So, Senator, this is a really interesting moment,

00:04:22.140 and I really do think it's important for us to just kind of take a step back

00:04:27.500 look at the Democratic Party.

00:04:30.100 I was doing Shannon Bream's show, Fox News Sunday,

00:04:32.880 and the first topic we talked about was Mandani winning.

00:04:37.040 We talked about the race in New Jersey and a couple others,

00:04:39.600 but everyone was focused on Mandani.

00:04:42.020 And I made the argument that this is now just the Democratic Party embracing what they are.

00:04:47.180 Marxists, socialists, communists, they're fully embracing it.

00:04:50.860 He is the face of the Democratic Party.

00:04:53.380 I actually think this is a gift that's going to give to conservatives and Republican kids in midterms

00:04:58.300 like we've never seen before.

00:05:00.500 And if this is the type of leader they want, AOC 2.0, even more extreme than AOC,

00:05:05.680 that's hard to say.

00:05:06.780 It's shocking.

00:05:07.480 But, I mean, we went from AOC.

00:05:09.240 We went from Bernie Sanders to AOC to Mandani.

00:05:13.620 And the Democratic Party has decided not to police this at all.

00:05:17.640 So, Ben, I've got to say I came up with a mnemonic today.

00:05:21.680 So, pronounce the guy's name who's about to be mayor of New York.

00:05:26.860 Mandani.

00:05:27.760 Nope.

00:05:29.360 So, I got it wrong.

00:05:30.440 Mandani?

00:05:31.320 Mandani.

00:05:32.080 I sent around a tweet.

00:05:33.520 I'm fine with any of them.

00:05:34.760 I sent around a tweet, and I realized I misspelled his name.

00:05:37.740 And, look, it's not a name you and I are terribly used to.

00:05:40.780 But I came up with a mnemonic to figure it out.

00:05:42.640 It's M-A-M, as in Mary, D-A-N-Y. 1.00

00:05:46.940 And I actually invert the N and the M. 1.00

00:05:48.860 I call them Mandani, and that's not it.

00:05:51.080 And the way I figured out the mnemonic was,

00:05:53.340 Ma'am, it's Danny.

00:05:55.300 Because it's Mamdani.

00:05:57.300 Which is really hard.

00:05:58.680 Like, you keep saying Mandani, but it's not M-A-N.

00:06:01.920 It's M-A-M. 0.99

00:06:03.300 And I'm just, look, if we're...

00:06:06.160 But the only way to say Mamdani is if you proceed it with comrade.

00:06:09.720 Because when I'm addressing communists, I call them comrades.

00:06:13.160 Because that is who he is.

00:06:15.160 And by the way, if you think that...

00:06:17.920 By the way, let's be clear, Ben.

00:06:19.900 You will think of my mnemonic.

00:06:22.000 You're going to be Mamdani. 0.99

00:06:23.460 You're going to be on the radio.

00:06:24.880 You're going to be doing CNN.

00:06:26.100 And you're going to think, Mamdani.

00:06:28.540 You will repeat it.

00:06:29.740 It will be a little voice in the back of your head,

00:06:32.700 and you won't screw it up.

00:06:33.940 And our listeners won't either.

00:06:35.140 But just to show I'm not engaged in hyperbole.

00:06:37.960 Maybe you're saying, oh, come on, he can't be that bad.

00:06:40.140 He's not an actual communist.

00:06:42.260 I want you to listen to what his father said.

00:06:46.040 This is comrade Mamdani's father talking about his view of the United States.

00:06:52.500 And just play the clip.

00:06:54.460 America is the genesis of what we call settler colonialism. 0.59

00:06:59.860 And the American model was exported all around the world.

00:07:06.700 Abraham Lincoln generalized the solution of reservations.

00:07:12.020 They herded American Indians into separate territories. 0.96

00:07:17.700 For the Nazis, for the Nazis, this was the inspiration. 0.98

00:07:26.040 Hitler realized two things. 0.69

00:07:28.400 One, the genocide was doable.

00:07:32.440 It is possible to do genocide.

00:07:35.640 That's what Hitler realized. 0.95

00:07:37.200 Second thing Hitler realized is that you don't have to have a common citizenship. 0.66

00:07:45.640 You can differentiate between people.

00:07:48.680 The Nuremberg laws were patterned after American laws.

00:07:54.060 Anyway, the U.S. put Indians in reservations.

00:07:58.100 The U.S. invented the model.

00:08:00.340 I mean, that's where he gets his teachings from.

00:08:05.440 That's pretty clear.

00:08:07.480 So listen, I want you to hear what Mamdani's dad just said.

00:08:13.200 Abraham Lincoln was the model for Adolf Hitler. 0.81

00:08:18.600 And the Nazis got concentration camps from the United States of America.

00:08:25.180 Now, let me just ask you.

00:08:26.440 I want to ask you, Ben, seriously and fairly.

00:08:29.240 Someone who says that, do you think he loves America?

00:08:32.960 No, I think he hates America. 0.96

00:08:34.400 I think he wants to trash America.

00:08:35.800 I think he thinks America is literally the enemy of him.

00:08:39.000 Now, is there any indication, any whatsoever, that Comrade Mamdani's, the son, his views are one iota different from daddy's?

00:08:52.080 No.

00:08:53.040 In fact, it's almost like one for one.

00:08:55.780 Super clone is the way I would describe it.

00:08:57.700 Well, OK, but let's play devil's advocate.

00:09:02.280 You know, look, sometimes dads are whack jobs and sons become more reasonable.

00:09:07.340 And Comrade Mamdani, I mean, he did live in New York.

00:09:10.580 He's presumably got some affection for the people of New York.

00:09:14.440 He's running for governor of New York.

00:09:15.640 Surely something like what happened on September 11th.

00:09:19.360 Surely that impacted him.

00:09:20.640 The entire world watched in horror as radical Islamic terrorists flew not one but two planes into the World Trade Center, murdering between the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, murdering roughly 3,000 Americans.

00:09:33.200 And that horrible morning in September.

00:09:35.960 Surely young Comrade Mamdani was horrified at what he saw and horrified at the mass slaughter.

00:09:42.960 Well, let's give a listen to what, in his own words, this is not daddy.

00:09:49.480 This is the son, the comrade.

00:09:51.540 Here's what he said he thought the day after September 11th.

00:09:56.380 Give a listen.

00:09:56.780 I want to use this moment to speak to the Muslims of New York City.

00:10:02.760 I want to speak to the memory of my aunt who stopped taking the subway after September 11th because she did not feel safe in her hijab.

00:10:14.880 I mean, let's go back to the quote there, Senator.

00:10:17.180 My aunt stopped taking the subway after 9-11 because she did not feel safe in her hijab.

00:10:23.600 He's actually claiming that she is the victim of 9-11.

00:10:29.240 Well, and let's be clear.

00:10:31.660 Among all of the sentiments, did he express, I looked at those planes flying into the towers and I felt horrified.

00:10:38.760 But by the way, as a Muslim, he presumably could say, I was horrified by someone who shares my faith could be so radicalized as to murder 3,000 people.

00:10:47.420 He actually could say something powerful there.

00:10:49.580 He didn't say that.

00:10:50.660 He didn't say, I mourned for the people at the top of that tower as flames roared around them who faced a choice between burning alive and jumping to their death.

00:11:00.740 And you and I both watched those mornings in a horror as people leapt from 100 stories high and fell to their death because the alternative was to burn alive.

00:11:11.600 Like, it was a moment America was under attack and yet somehow, Comrade Mondami, that is, I can't pronounce his name either, even with my mnemonic, I'm getting it wrong.

00:11:21.260 But somehow, he doesn't express that sentiment.

00:11:25.280 He's like, the horror is the next day my aunt couldn't wear her hijab.

00:11:31.180 And by the way, for all of the leftist rhetoric that the crime of 9-11 was Islamophobia, I'm not aware of a meaningful uptick in violence against Muslims in New York.

00:11:45.140 I actually remember this country coming together, coming together strongly, embracing each other, unifying.

00:11:51.300 I remember President George W. Bush in, I think, the finest moment of his presidency standing on the rubble in New York City holding a bullhorn.

00:12:01.060 And when someone from the crowd with firefighters all around called out, we can't hear you, he said, I can hear you.

00:12:06.580 And soon the world will hear you, the people that knock down these towers will hear you.

00:12:12.960 That was a moment where if you had the tiniest bit of love for America, you don't have to be the most patriotic soul. 0.98

00:12:20.580 You just have to give a tiny little crap about the United States of America. 0.98

00:12:27.540 You felt a surge of, yes, we will stand strong against the vicious murderers who attacked us. 0.99

00:12:35.340 And yet, Comrade Mondami expresses none of that.

00:12:39.660 Apparently 9-11 was all about, look, he was clear, I'm talking to the Muslims.

00:12:44.280 By the way, if you're Jewish, and I've got to say it is astonishing, some significant percentage of Jewish voters in New York are voting for Comrade Mondami.

00:12:54.500 I don't get that.

00:12:56.040 It's like if you go to a farm and go to the lambs and the sheep and say, hey, we would like to have an election to select the butcher.

00:13:07.480 Like, he views them, I believe, as the enemy.

00:13:12.440 And yet, you have voters.

00:13:15.820 And by the way, there are wealthy socialites on the Upper East Side who are voting for him and are perfectly oblivious.

00:13:26.080 Because, you know, when Comrade Mondami abolishes the police and a crackhead kicks in their front door, suddenly they're – let me ask you, Ben, seriously.

00:13:40.220 You spent more time in New York than I have.

00:13:42.960 I mean, you were a CNN contributor for like umpteen years.

00:13:46.020 Help me try to get in the mind.

00:13:51.160 Let's assume you're a multimillionaire Upper East Side socialite. 0.95

00:13:55.700 Try to explain the thinking of saying, I want to vote for a communist jihadist. 0.66

00:14:02.380 Yeah.

00:14:03.840 It's very interesting because there's – I think there's two things here as we really break this down.

00:14:08.960 One, I think that to be a socialite in New York, it is now a mandate that you're a liberal Democrat.

00:14:17.400 You will not rise in the New York ranks or the Hamptons if you're a hardcore conservative.

00:14:23.220 I think that's part of it is just the –

00:14:25.380 And by the way, to be clear, the alternative here –

00:14:27.140 Whatever it's going, right? 0.78

00:14:29.020 Yeah, but to be clear, the alternative here, we're talking Andrew friggin' Cuomo.

00:14:33.660 We're not talking go right wing.

00:14:35.940 We're not talking Donald Trump.

00:14:37.220 We're not talking Ted Cruz. 1.00

00:14:38.360 We're talking Andrew friggin' Cuomo, a left-wing Democrat, corrupt, woman-grabbing, like – 0.99

00:14:45.860 I'm not a big Cuomo fan, but it's not like if you're a New York voter, 0.98

00:14:52.160 you have to suddenly pull the lever for Jesse Helms.

00:14:56.720 And yet, given the choice between a solidly left-wing Democrat and a full-on communist,

00:15:05.680 and I believe America-hating jihadist, it sure looks like – I hope these polls are wrong,

00:15:14.020 and maybe a burst of sanity will pull us back, but it sure looks like a ton of New Yorkers are going to say,

00:15:20.040 nope, nope, nope, I don't want partial lefty. 1.00

00:15:24.620 I want full-on nutcase. 0.97

00:15:26.460 Yeah, I want full-blown commie.

00:15:28.640 Yeah, well, and the other thing that's interesting is I was in New York last – I think it was last week.

00:15:32.820 I'm up there almost every other week now, and I talk to a lot of the people there that live there,

00:15:37.340 and I'm like, explain this to me.

00:15:39.820 They feel like they lost so many sane voters because of the COVID lockdown.

00:15:46.040 They're all in Florida.

00:15:47.160 This is now just – yeah, they all went to Florida.

00:15:50.360 They all moved out.

00:15:52.140 The sane voters just left. 0.83

00:15:54.180 The crazy state under, you know, tyrants like Cuomo who locked them down

00:15:59.560 and took their lives away from them for two years

00:16:01.540 and wouldn't allow them to even leave their houses or go out or do anything.

00:16:05.220 I mean, it was a ghost town.

00:16:06.200 We all know New York was a ghost town for a very long time because of the lockdowns there.

00:16:11.980 And so you lost a large group of voters that were sane.

00:16:16.660 I'm not saying conservative.

00:16:18.460 I'm just saying they weren't socialist, communist-type voters,

00:16:22.140 and this is now what you're left with.

00:16:24.340 And so I now look at this and I'm like, all right, Mondani wins.

00:16:27.880 I think it's pretty clear he's going to be the mayor of New York.

00:16:31.580 Don't concede that.

00:16:32.640 I'm actually not willing to concede that.

00:16:34.620 I'm going to hold out hope until the last vote is counted.

00:16:37.120 It sure looks like that from the polling, but I'm not willing to concede that.

00:16:42.160 And by the way, you might think, look, one of the things we try to do on verdict

00:16:46.160 is we try to be real.

00:16:47.600 So we try not to engage in just partisan rhetoric and hyperbole.

00:16:52.080 Like when I call him a communist jihadist, I call him a communist because he's called for, 0.98

00:16:58.760 among other things, seizing the means of production, which is the very essence of the economic core

00:17:05.620 of communism.

00:17:07.840 Yeah.

00:17:09.020 I call him a jihadist. 0.95

00:17:10.560 OK, let me read you from his tweet on October 17th.

00:17:16.240 Quote, today at Masjid al-Taqwa, I had the pleasure of meeting with Imam Siraj Wahaj,

00:17:25.280 one of the nation's foremost Muslim leaders and a pillar of the Bed-Stuy community for nearly

00:17:30.600 a half century.

00:17:31.400 I was also joined by CM Dr. Yusuf Salaam of Harlem, a beautiful jama.

00:17:37.080 And he sends out a tweet.

00:17:38.680 Now, who is the person that he's taking a picture with?

00:17:42.620 Well, this particular imam is, in fact, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World 0.96

00:17:53.900 Trade Center bombing that killed six people. 0.99

00:17:58.260 He also preached that homosexuality is a disease. 0.98

00:18:02.920 And by the way, there are a bunch of left-wing gay and lesbian people in New York who are 0.99

00:18:07.480 voting for this guy.

00:18:09.640 And he also called for an unarmed, quote, army of 10,000 men to wage a gun-free jihad through

00:18:21.460 New York City.

00:18:22.480 That's what the imam called for. 0.98

00:18:24.300 That's who Comrade Mamdani poses for a picture with and tweets out three weeks before the

00:18:31.980 election.

00:18:32.580 He's not hiding it.

00:18:34.540 He's saying, yeah, he will stand with the jihadists against you, the innocent citizens.

00:18:41.060 And I got to tell you, look, to give you a sense also of just how whacked out the Democratic

00:18:49.960 Socialists of America, which is Comrade Mamdani's party.

00:18:55.920 Just yesterday, they put out a statement calling on the United States to release Elias Rodriguez.

00:19:06.700 Who is Elias Rodriguez?

00:19:09.400 Elias Rodriguez is the deranged terrorist who executed two Jews in Washington, D.C. this spring.

00:19:18.000 And you'll recall, Elias Rodriguez, by the way, he's not a Palestinian. 0.97

00:19:23.540 He's an Hispanic dude from Chicago, but he's a left-winger who has suckled on the teat of 1.00

00:19:31.200 Marxism and America hate and Jew hate that is the left. 0.99

00:19:36.240 And he murdered this young couple who had just been engaged. 0.53

00:19:39.760 And as you know, I didn't know this young couple, but a fact I discovered after they were

00:19:45.900 murdered, the two of them met at an event where I was speaking.

00:19:50.340 And I knew multiple friends of mine who knew them well.

00:19:53.700 And it was literally, I was the speaker at the event.

00:19:56.000 They both came to it.

00:19:56.980 They were both involved in the pro-Israel community.

00:19:59.200 They met.

00:19:59.720 They fell in love. 0.97

00:20:00.600 And this lunatic didn't shoot them once. 0.95

00:20:03.200 He unloaded his entire magazine into the two of them, murdering a young man and a young 0.99

00:20:07.920 woman simply because they were Jewish. 0.67

00:20:09.900 He didn't know them.

00:20:10.560 All he knew was, these are Jews. 1.00

00:20:13.800 I must murder them. 1.00

00:20:14.940 He screamed, free Palestine. 0.99

00:20:16.700 Now, let me read what the DSA Liberation Caucus put out, which is the Democrat Socialists of

00:20:22.960 America.

00:20:24.320 Excellent statement that we are proud to add our name to.

00:20:29.580 Free Elias Rodriguez and all political prisoners.

00:20:35.020 So understand, Comrade Mondami's political party is telling the world that a terrorist who

00:20:46.960 murders in cold blood two Jews because they're Jews should not be charged, should not be prosecuted,

00:20:54.620 should be let to go free, presumably because killing Jews in the interest of their radical 1.00

00:21:01.480 leftist ideology is deserving of no punishment. 0.98

00:21:04.800 They're not saying, let him serve a month in jail.

00:21:08.780 They're not saying, let him serve a week in jail.

00:21:11.040 They're saying, let him go today with no consequences whatsoever for the cold blooded murder of two

00:21:18.380 innocent people.

00:21:20.940 That is the party of Comrade Mondami who, by all appearances in the polling, is about to

00:21:32.300 become the next mayor of New York City.

00:21:34.480 And I will say, listen, Ben, there are a lot of Republicans who are saying what you said is,

00:21:41.020 which is, hey, this is great for Republicans.

00:21:42.640 This is great for conservatives.

00:21:43.560 This will show the world just how whacked out the left is.

00:21:46.480 Canadian women are looking for more, more out of themselves, their businesses, their elected 1.00

00:21:51.600 leaders, and the world around them.

00:21:53.380 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.

00:21:57.100 I'm Jennifer Stewart.

00:21:58.280 And I'm Catherine Clark.

00:21:59.500 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.

00:22:03.280 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their

00:22:08.380 journey.

00:22:08.700 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.

00:22:12.220 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

00:22:17.820 I've got to tell you, my heart grieves.

00:22:20.040 Listen, New York.

00:22:21.680 I agree with you on that.

00:22:23.180 I agree with you.

00:22:24.200 It is a great American city.

00:22:25.640 It is still the center of finance in America and the world.

00:22:29.860 It is the center of media in America and the world.

00:22:32.520 And much like I grieve for San Francisco, an iconic American city. 0.72

00:22:37.680 Look, San Francisco doesn't embrace your values of mine, but I don't like to see lunatics

00:22:42.720 like Gavin Newsom and other leftists destroying cities that are a central part of who America

00:22:49.700 is.

00:22:50.640 And I got to say, I think a huge problem with what's happening in New York is young people, 1.00

00:22:57.000 young people in their 20s who have college degrees, who were radicalized in college, who

00:23:03.600 sat in in the student lounges drinking lattes and smoking clove cigarettes and are actually

00:23:11.800 bongs or whatever.

00:23:12.680 I don't know.

00:23:12.980 Are clove cigarettes a thing?

00:23:14.200 Don't forget.

00:23:16.060 I don't know.

00:23:17.460 But the handout.

00:23:18.380 I don't know.

00:23:18.980 When you and I were kids, people smoke clove cigarettes.

00:23:21.640 I actually don't even know if college kids do now.

00:23:24.040 But whatever they were doing.

00:23:27.360 Did you just age yourself, Senator?

00:23:28.820 I think you did.

00:23:30.620 Look, you know, I'm going to be 55 in December.

00:23:33.840 So it's...

00:23:34.780 But the beauty of it is in the Senate, they still think I'm 12.

00:23:39.580 I mean, like the median age is 106.

00:23:41.500 That's very true.

00:23:42.240 And so, you know, they think I'm running around in short shorts with a beanie.

00:23:46.240 Um, but, you know, it's a bunch of 20-somethings who have never known anything except college

00:23:56.080 life, and they've been suckled on the lies of their Marxist professors.

00:24:01.040 And they think, yes, join the revolution, globalize the Intifada.

00:24:06.040 They don't even necessarily know what it means.

00:24:08.760 But they feel...

00:24:10.580 And by the way, they're also unhappy with life and angst.

00:24:15.000 And a lot of these 24-year-olds are mad that they're not billionaires and driving Lamborghinis

00:24:21.440 yet.

00:24:21.940 And so they're like, okay, let's just attack the actual billionaires who built companies

00:24:27.140 and that'll make me feel better.

00:24:29.580 Well, and it's New York City now.

00:24:31.100 I mean, it really is.

00:24:32.340 There are so many people there that are going to vote for him because he has basically turned

00:24:37.340 public enemy number one into successful New Yorkers that are wealthy.

00:24:41.540 And he's saying that they've stolen something from you that you never had, and we're going

00:24:45.880 to take some of it back and give it to you.

00:24:47.980 It's buying votes 101. 0.99

00:24:50.280 Your life sucks because of these evil rich people that have all the one percenters. 0.97

00:24:55.580 It's Occupy Wall Street 2.0 or 3.0, whatever version you want to describe this as. 0.99

00:25:01.400 And I think that's the part that scares me the most, is that you can now lose another

00:25:06.980 great American city the way that you described San Francisco.

00:25:10.000 Look at places like Detroit, Atlanta, Baltimore, Memphis.

00:25:12.940 The list goes on and on.

00:25:13.800 The only good news is there is a cause and effect, and I think that's why Donald Trump

00:25:20.100 got elected.

00:25:21.060 I think that's also why he's being so successful right now.

00:25:23.320 That's why I say, hey, I need an AOC, a Mondani, to remind America you don't want any part 1.00

00:25:29.980 of this, and conservatives are getting it done for you right now.

00:25:33.320 I think that's the blessing in disguise here.

00:25:35.660 Look, the unfortunate thing is, and I don't think this is hyperbole, people are going to

00:25:40.000 die if and when Comrade Mondani is elected, that that is going to be the consequence.

00:25:46.580 That's true.

00:25:47.840 Listen, I was in New York on Friday, so I was there campaigning for Mike Lawler.

00:25:51.880 Mike Lawler is a Republican congressman from New York.

00:25:54.920 He's in one of the most competitive districts in America.

00:25:58.300 Mike's a good guy.

00:25:59.100 He is not as conservative as you and I are, but given that district, he is a Republican

00:26:07.060 who gets elected.

00:26:07.780 He's as conservative as you can get, and he fights for his district.

00:26:12.360 And I like Mike, and he asked me, will you come up and campaign?

00:26:15.860 And so I joined him.

00:26:16.720 I joined him, number one, at the Conservative Party in New York.

00:26:19.200 They had a big dinner, and they had me come in and speak.

00:26:21.740 And I actually said something.

00:26:22.840 I said, if Comrade Mondani is elected, I'm going to make a nomination right now, which

00:26:28.680 is a year from now.

00:26:30.720 I want to name him the Conservative Party of New York Man of the Year, because Comrade Mondani

00:26:36.420 is going to make more people join the Conservative Party in New York than anyone has in history, 0.99

00:26:42.680 as they realize these people are nuts. 0.91

00:26:47.540 And I'm going to make a second nomination. 0.87

00:26:49.860 If he is elected, I'm going to make this nomination now.

00:26:52.380 And remember this date.

00:26:53.800 Write this down.

00:26:54.800 Diaz, our producer, write this date down.

00:26:57.220 A year from now, bring it up.

00:26:59.240 And on this podcast, I am going to nominate right now Comrade Mondani as the Texas Realtor

00:27:06.580 of the Year, because not only is he going to drive New Yorkers to join the Republican Party

00:27:11.280 and the Conservative Party, but he is going to result, he is going to rent more U-Hauls than

00:27:19.240 the very best Willie Lohman salesman that has ever been in U-Haul, of people moving from

00:27:26.440 New York and coming to Texas and coming to Florida, and anyone with any sense is going

00:27:30.300 to get out of there.

00:27:31.000 He's Gavin Newsom.

00:27:32.220 He is Gavin Newsom.

00:27:34.080 And by the way, okay, did you hear Gavin Newsom on the podcast discussing his rough, hard

00:27:40.000 scrabble life, eating Wonder Bread, growing up in the hood?

00:27:43.860 Because, you know, Gavin was an oppressed youth.

00:27:49.520 Did you see that?

00:27:50.740 It was almost as oppressed as he was during the COVID lockdowns when he was the only one

00:27:53.920 allowed to have dinner with his friends without masks on, you know?

00:27:56.700 Look, to be clear, Gavin Newsom is California royalties, fourth or fifth generation California

00:28:02.000 old money.

00:28:03.520 His daddy was one of the lead lawyers for the Getty billionaire fortune.

00:28:13.600 He grew up, he was featured in the San Francisco paper in an article entitled Growing Up Rich.

00:28:20.920 And to be clear, he started a winery with the Getty millions, billions actually, but millions

00:28:26.480 from them.

00:28:27.320 Started a winery at age 25.

00:28:29.060 Now, Benjamin, let me ask you, did you start a winery at age 25?

00:28:33.460 No.

00:28:34.340 Why not?

00:28:34.580 I feel like I worked really hard, but I promise you it was not a winery at 25.

00:28:39.200 And look, it's okay.

00:28:41.100 I don't fault Gavin for the success of his parents or his grandparents or his great-great-grandparents.

00:28:47.780 And it's amazing how many leftists were raised with silver spoons and inserted just about

00:28:53.840 any place you could insert a spoon.

00:28:55.440 But when he pretends, like he's on this NBA podcast and he's talking about, oh, I just

00:29:03.820 had to support myself.

00:29:04.960 I had to support myself playing ball.

00:29:08.100 Like, what a load.

00:29:10.500 What a crock.

00:29:13.040 And it's...

00:29:14.520 Pathological.

00:29:15.840 Newsom is running a different scam than Mondani is, but it's the same scam.

00:29:21.840 It is marketing, Marxism, socialism, confiscatory government power, and trying to make it...

00:29:30.720 I will say this.

00:29:31.560 I'm going to compliment right now both Comrade Mondani and Gavin Newsom.

00:29:36.780 They got great smiles.

00:29:38.500 I mean, to be honest, every dentist in America must be like, look at those pearly whites. 1.00

00:29:42.880 They can smile.

00:29:44.120 Like, it...

00:29:45.880 And, you know, I got to say, and I'll say this as a Cuban-American whose family, you know,

00:29:52.180 fled Cuba, it really feels better if you're a dissident being lined up from the firing squad

00:29:58.260 if you know that the communists ordering your death are smiling.

00:30:01.120 Like, it really makes it less painful as you're sent to the gulag to know it's a good-looking

00:30:09.420 tyrant who is sending me to the gulag. 0.81

00:30:12.920 But sadly, that's where we are.

00:30:17.980 And can I ask you one more question on this topic?

00:30:22.240 Sure.

00:30:22.700 Is there a single, sane Democrat who is calling out Comrade Mondani or Gavin Newsom on these issues? 0.58

00:30:32.920 No, because they created these crazies, and they allowed them to fester in their party, 0.75

00:30:39.560 and they literally didn't police their party. 0.66

00:30:42.260 So this is the Democratic Party now, and their leaders are not Democrats.

00:30:46.840 They are commies.

00:30:47.860 They are socialists.

00:30:49.020 They are Marxists.

00:30:49.900 Just look around the country.

00:30:51.180 This is who they are.

00:30:52.620 Yeah, look, the elected members of the Democrat Party, particularly on the national scene,

00:30:57.540 they're scared.

00:30:58.700 They're scared of the mob.

00:31:00.700 They're scared of the angry left-wing radicals with torches and pitchforks.

00:31:09.200 We saw this at the No Kings rally where they're terrified.

00:31:11.800 We're in the middle.

00:31:12.540 We're in day 27 of the Schumer shutdown because they're terrified of the mob.

00:31:17.220 And so elected Democrats are terrified.

00:31:19.320 But again, listen, we endeavor on this podcast to try to be real, to try to have facts,

00:31:25.880 to try not to engage in just empty partisan rhetoric.

00:31:29.940 Like, so maybe you might say, all right, Cruz, Ferguson, that they're not the most impartial,

00:31:36.860 unbiased observers.

00:31:38.900 If you're not inclined to listen to us, although I will say, if you've made it 29 minutes into

00:31:42.980 this podcast and you're not inclined to listen to us, wow, you've got some endurance.

00:31:46.580 Bravo to you.

00:31:47.280 But indulge the setup nonetheless.

00:31:52.960 If you're not inclined to listen to us, perhaps you would be inclined to listen to Bill Maher.

00:31:58.100 Bill Maher is a liberal.

00:31:59.820 He is a Democrat.

00:32:01.160 He's been a liberal and a Democrat his whole life.

00:32:04.300 Listen to what Bill Maher had to say, the warning to Democrats he had to say about Comrade Mondani.

00:32:10.080 The Democrats, let's face it, they're kind of split now.

00:32:14.160 There's the far left version that did not do too well in recent elections.

00:32:18.680 And then people like the governor who say, we've got to come back to the middle, common sense.

00:32:23.180 And whenever this discussion comes up, this is what you hear a lot.

00:32:25.800 We need a sister soldier moment, a time when the Democrats, something, some issue with the Democrat says,

00:32:30.420 look, I'm not with the far left.

00:32:32.040 And this is how you know you can trust me that I'm not.

00:32:35.960 I think I have the issue.

00:32:37.740 Okay.

00:32:38.180 And it's the mayor's race in New York.

00:32:41.000 I think he seems like a sweet guy, Mom Dommy.

00:32:46.460 But I would just like to say, because the election is in a couple of weeks,

00:32:50.480 this is not just New York that's on the ballot.

00:32:54.160 I think the whole Democratic Party in the country is on the ballot.

00:32:58.020 And the whole country will be looking at this race to see which way are the Democrats going to go.

00:33:03.740 No, Andrew Cuomo may not be that exciting and that inspirational.

00:33:07.280 But, you know, for a party that said we want to get back to normal, he's kind of normal.

00:33:13.620 I mean.

00:33:14.720 What?

00:33:15.340 No?

00:33:15.800 Well, he's got some things in his history that I would suggest are not the normal I want to embrace.

00:33:21.440 Well, we did a deep dive on that because we had him on the show.

00:33:24.380 Yeah. 1.00

00:33:24.740 A lot of it is kind of bullshit. 0.99

00:33:25.960 I mean, maybe he was a little too handy, a little too Italian, a little too touchy, you know. 1.00

00:33:33.320 A little too Italian. 0.99

00:33:35.560 That's what he said.

00:33:36.520 You know.

00:33:37.240 Yes.

00:33:37.820 You know.

00:33:38.480 Did not get the memo.

00:33:40.780 I mean, it's when you're having to defend Cuomo to try to save your party, you're not in a good place.

00:33:46.320 Well, but Bill Maher, and let's be clear.

00:33:48.920 Bill Maher did not vote for Donald Trump.

00:33:52.280 Bill Maher would not vote for me.

00:33:53.860 He is a liberal.

00:33:55.620 He is a Democrat.

00:33:56.880 But Bill Maher every day makes more and more sense because his party has gone so bat crap crazy that he believes in things like free speech.

00:34:05.940 He believes in things like not supporting a communist government that seizes private property and the means of production in society.

00:34:17.360 He doesn't want to support Hamas terrorists and other jihadists.

00:34:21.700 That used to be mainstream.

00:34:25.780 That used to be all of those propositions were things that used to be the case that Republicans and Democrats came together.

00:34:32.320 Look, Bill Clinton, when Bill Clinton was president, neither you nor I supported Bill Clinton.

00:34:37.540 We did not vote for Bill Clinton.

00:34:39.780 But you know what?

00:34:40.720 The Bill Clinton election, when he was elected, it was not the fate of Western civilization.

00:34:46.680 It was not do we elect a communist jihadist.

00:34:50.600 I would have rathered a Republican be elected, but the world didn't end when Bill Clinton got elected.

00:34:56.100 Bill Clinton's views, if you took a candidate with the identical policy views of Bill Clinton and ran him today, they would tar and feather him and drive him out of the Democrat Party.

00:35:06.180 He would be completely and entirely unwelcome.

00:35:07.900 He would not get elected today as president.

00:35:09.320 He would not get elected.

00:35:10.960 He probably wouldn't get elected as a Democrat dog catcher because they have radicalized. 0.96

00:35:16.700 And they instead want someone like Comrade Mondami, whose party says, release the terrorist who murders Jews because they're Jews. 0.92

00:35:25.260 That's where their radical base is.

00:35:28.660 And, you know, some of y'all may not may not know what what a sister soldier moment is.

00:35:34.300 And Sister Soulja actually refers to Bill Clinton when Bill Clinton was was running for president.

00:35:39.320 Sister Soulja was was this rapper.

00:35:42.100 And Bill Clinton denounced her in the middle of the primary.

00:35:45.960 And it was viewed as as a brave moment of sort of taking on his base.

00:35:50.680 But it demonstrated to the voters or it was perceived to demonstrate to the voters that that he was reasonable and rational and not a crazy nutcase.

00:35:59.580 And it is an interesting question.

00:36:01.920 Is there even one national Democrat?

00:36:06.080 By the way, Gavin Newsom wants to be elected president.

00:36:16.600 None of them are going to because look, John Fetterman has been critical.

00:36:22.600 But John Fetterman, I think the Democrat Party is being quite explicit that they're going to do everything they can to drive him out of the Democrat Party.

00:36:29.240 Just like they would Bill Clinton if he were there.

00:36:31.980 But I don't know a Democrat.

00:36:34.700 And interestingly.

00:36:36.860 One ambitious Democrat.

00:36:38.660 Is there nobody looking around?

00:36:51.300 Has he said a word?

00:36:52.580 Crickets, crickets, crickets.

00:36:55.400 There is not one.

00:36:57.540 And maybe that will change.

00:37:02.600 But but but I fear not just for the state of the Democrat Party, but I fear for the future of our republic.

00:37:09.700 I think we do better when we have two political parties that are reasonable and rational and have some meaningful disagreements than we do with one party that is utterly whack job and trying to destroy America.

00:37:22.260 Look, we've seen through history.

00:37:24.560 It is a pendulum and it goes from one party to the other. 0.88
