00:00:00.000
This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.560
Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.240
Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:09.020
We are days away from a GOP convention, I love saying this,
00:00:12.700
where we're very united behind our candidate.
00:00:15.240
And Senator, there is still a major civil war that is not stopping within the Democratic Party.
00:00:21.640
Well, that's exactly right.
00:00:23.500
Utter chaos continues to reign on the Democratic side.
00:00:26.260
But we're also going to talk about the fact that Texas is recovering from Hurricane Beryl.
00:00:31.560
The state of Texas was hit by Beryl two days ago.
00:00:37.960
Nearly three million Texans lost power.
00:00:40.580
There was wind damage, rain damage.
00:00:43.280
You and I lived through it.
00:00:44.820
So we're going to walk through exactly what that entailed.
00:00:47.780
But then we're going to turn to what's happening nationally.
00:00:50.260
We're going to turn to the question that's on everybody's lips,
00:00:52.660
which is, who is the Democrat nominee for president going to be?
00:00:57.060
I continue to believe it's not Joe Biden.
00:00:59.400
But the White House is erecting the barriers and fighting tooth and nail.
00:01:05.240
And they are discovering that their worst enemy is the corporate media,
00:01:09.060
who is utterly and completely turned on them.
00:01:11.220
We're going to break that down.
00:01:12.900
Yeah, it's really interesting.
00:01:14.460
I want to tell you real quick about something.
00:01:16.280
And this is important to me.
00:01:17.820
I have been a victim of gun crime and without carrying a firearm, I would not be here today.
00:01:22.420
I had to use my firearm to protect and defend my life and the life of my best friend that was with me that day.
00:01:27.560
And I can tell you it is so important that you be able to protect yourself.
00:01:31.840
And, you know, I am a staunch advocate for our God-given Second Amendment rights.
00:01:36.720
Shooting is one of my favorite pastimes.
00:01:38.920
I've owned a gun range and a gun store.
00:01:41.180
And I want to tell you about my friend Gordon Bond and his 30-year-old Texas-based company called Bond Arms.
00:01:47.720
Bond Arms makes the smallest, most powerful, best-built personal protection you can carry.
00:01:54.540
These unique handguns are simple, easy to use, but have unparalleled power like the .45-70 Cyclops,
00:02:01.860
which makes them a great personal protection option.
00:02:05.880
I want you to check out their amazing handguns at getbondarms.com,
00:02:11.000
which are built like a tank and have been seen in TV series like Yellowstone, Longmire, Castle & John, and Wick 3.
00:02:19.280
Plus, go to getbondarms.com and check out their newly patented coming soon AR platform lever gun,
00:02:26.760
which won Recoil Magazine's Best Firearm at Shot Show 2023.
00:02:31.500
You will not be disappointed with adding some of the coolest and unique firearms on the market to your personal collection.
00:02:38.200
Tell them I sent you, again, the website getbondarms.com.
00:02:43.380
Senator, you and I have lived through it.
00:02:44.920
We both lost power.
00:02:46.280
Doing this show is a little bit complicated when you don't have power or Internet,
00:02:50.740
and yet we're still doing it.
00:02:52.620
We just lost our Internet moments before we started recording tonight.
00:02:57.580
You were out today helping people in Texas.
00:03:01.440
What all did you see from the damage?
00:03:03.340
I helped a lot of neighbors get trees out of their yards and trees that went through even parts of their roof.
00:03:09.420
You saw a ton of that as well.
00:03:11.700
Well, that's right.
00:03:12.240
I've spent the last two days traveling through the affected areas.
00:03:16.540
Look, this hurricane hit late Sunday night, early Monday morning,
00:03:21.680
and actually you and I recorded Monday's podcast as we were waiting for the hurricane to hit,
00:03:27.420
and we were both at our homes.
00:03:29.360
We knew it was coming, and, you know, let's actually walk people through what it's like.
00:03:36.000
Now, you're a Memphis boy, so this is your first hurricane.
00:03:39.680
This was the real deal for me.
00:03:41.760
I was like, okay, it's somewhat exciting and nerve-wracking,
00:03:45.900
and then there's like, hey, how much water do I need?
00:03:48.640
Like, I was asking the basic new greenie questions.
00:03:52.660
Yeah, look, as a lifelong Houstonian, we just have hurricanes.
00:03:56.480
That's part of the Gulf Coast.
00:03:58.060
We will have more in the future.
00:03:59.880
We've had a lot in the past.
00:04:01.720
But, you know, the way this one played out, so Sunday night I went to bed,
00:04:06.520
and when I went to bed, it was actually, it was a clear night.
00:04:11.400
It wasn't even raining, and then it started coming in late at night.
00:04:15.920
It started coming in at 2 and 3 in the morning,
00:04:18.000
and it was a night where you would hear the rain pouring down,
00:04:21.740
and then you'd hear cracks, loud cracks.
00:04:24.580
And in the morning, you discovered what those loud cracks were,
00:04:28.360
which were trees that were falling down.
00:04:30.220
And on my street, there are a whole bunch of trees that have fallen down.
00:04:34.540
There are branches that have fallen down.
00:04:36.000
There are huge oak trees and pine trees that were uprooted and thrown across the street,
00:04:42.100
in some cases thrown into houses.
00:04:45.400
Thankfully, my home did not have any trees hit the home,
00:04:48.780
but we did have a big branch in the backyard fall and rip some of the lighting down,
00:04:54.040
but it did not hit the house or the damage to the roof, so we're grateful for that.
00:04:57.540
And then Monday, as the rain cleared, I began going and meeting with local officials and first responders.
00:05:08.620
So one of the first things I did is I headed down to the Emergency Operations Center in Houston,
00:05:16.300
and Houston was hit very hard.
00:05:19.420
And so there I sat down with firefighters and the police department
00:05:25.780
and all of the city officials.
00:05:28.180
So the Emergency Operations Unit, whenever you have a disaster,
00:05:31.440
that's where everyone goes and coordinates out of.
00:05:34.920
It's where the mayor coordinates out of.
00:05:37.300
It's in northwest Houston.
00:05:39.200
It's actually the same location as the central 911 call center.
00:05:43.640
And so in the room next to it, there's a massive room filled with operators
00:05:47.920
that are dealing with thousands of 911 calls
00:05:51.100
and tasking whoever the relevant people are.
00:05:55.160
And listen, in the immediate aftermath of a hurricane,
00:05:58.220
there are a series of phases that occur in a disaster.
00:06:02.620
The first phase is just saving people's lives.
00:06:05.320
And people are in harm's way.
00:06:07.160
They need emergency responders.
00:06:10.300
This hurricane, Hurricane Beryl,
00:06:12.280
the number of confirmed fatalities now is seven.
00:06:15.800
There were multiple who were killed in Houston.
00:06:18.360
There was one who was a police department civilian employee.
00:06:22.940
He was driving in because for most people,
00:06:26.820
they were told shelter in place, stay at home,
00:06:28.560
don't go out on the roads, it's too dangerous to drive.
00:06:31.180
But for first responders and emergency personnel,
00:06:33.680
they were asked to come in to be there.
00:06:36.280
And this police department employee was driving in
00:06:39.120
and he drove into an underpass that was flooded
00:06:41.360
and unfortunately was deeper than he expected
00:06:44.260
and it flooded into his car and he drowned.
00:06:49.800
And I'll tell you that afternoon,
00:06:51.540
I met with the mayor who had spent the last two hours
00:06:54.920
at that underpass with the Houston Police Department
00:06:57.740
searching for that body
00:06:59.660
and they found the body of their co-worker.
00:07:01.820
And so it was, the mayor was shaken up.
00:07:04.380
I mean, and anytime you have a fatality,
00:07:10.080
it's difficult, but it's particularly difficult
00:07:12.040
when it's first responders who are searching
00:07:13.940
for one of their own.
00:07:17.480
In Houston, then we went through,
00:07:20.180
we went through all of the plans
00:07:22.020
for how to ensure that people
00:07:25.160
have the resources they need.
00:07:27.980
The biggest challenge statewide is power.
00:07:31.740
2.7 million Texans lost power.
00:07:35.740
You lost power.
00:07:36.680
I lost power.
00:07:38.360
Much of the city of Houston was dark
00:07:40.400
and that was true throughout much of the Gulf Coast
00:07:44.520
that the power lines went down.
00:07:47.460
And so when I was sitting
00:07:49.740
at the Emergency Operations Command Center,
00:07:53.560
two of the people who were there
00:07:55.420
were from Centerpoint, the power company,
00:07:57.120
and they described that they were bringing in
00:08:00.080
over 10,000 linemen,
00:08:01.820
linemen from around Texas,
00:08:04.600
from other states,
00:08:05.480
bringing them in to start restringing the power lines.
00:08:08.600
And before they turn a power line back on,
00:08:11.060
they have to walk the length of the power line
00:08:13.540
to make sure that it's not torn down
00:08:15.260
and that putting the power on
00:08:17.240
doesn't start a fire,
00:08:18.560
doesn't electrocute someone.
00:08:19.980
And so it can be a prolonged process.
00:08:23.320
But part of the challenge of that is in Houston
00:08:27.100
and in much of the affected areas,
00:08:29.220
the traffic lights were out.
00:08:30.700
And not out as in flashing,
00:08:33.260
but just dark.
00:08:34.240
Just off.
00:08:34.720
Yeah, just dark.
00:08:35.480
Well, I've never seen anything like it.
00:08:37.100
Like you said,
00:08:37.560
this is my first hurricane where I've been in it.
00:08:41.640
And one of the things that was the most shocking,
00:08:43.900
I think,
00:08:44.240
is just the number of people without power.
00:08:47.540
I've never seen so much darkness
00:08:50.020
as I saw last night
00:08:52.500
and seeing, like you said,
00:08:54.400
not even flashing lights,
00:08:56.240
just everything off.
00:08:58.600
Yeah, everything was out.
00:09:00.720
And I believe it is the record
00:09:02.220
for the most people who've lost power in Texas.
00:09:05.440
It is more people lost power from barrel
00:09:08.320
than did during Hurricane Harvey.
00:09:09.940
Now, Hurricane Harvey
00:09:10.740
was a much more massive disaster.
00:09:13.480
It still remains the second most costly
00:09:15.200
natural disaster in U.S. history
00:09:16.880
because you had enormous flooding.
00:09:18.960
But in this instance,
00:09:20.660
we just had a lot,
00:09:22.260
a lot of power lines go down
00:09:23.880
from trees,
00:09:25.440
from trees falling
00:09:26.480
and knocking the power lines down.
00:09:29.600
We also had...
00:09:30.940
You were in the command center,
00:09:31.800
and I wanted to ask you this.
00:09:33.740
So the winds,
00:09:35.660
and obviously,
00:09:36.580
like we mentioned,
00:09:37.200
there was a lot of trees down,
00:09:38.200
but this wasn't a Cat 5
00:09:40.000
that came through.
00:09:41.560
So did they say to you
00:09:43.200
or explain why so many trees came down?
00:09:45.600
Was it the total time
00:09:47.220
and it wasn't actually moving that fast?
00:09:49.200
So it was more time to weaken the trees?
00:09:50.640
Because when you look at the storm itself,
00:09:53.500
it didn't seem like it was going to be something
00:09:55.500
that was going to be this bad.
00:09:57.960
No, they didn't.
00:09:59.540
When barrel first made landfall,
00:10:01.580
it was initially a Category 1
00:10:03.320
and then a Category 2 hurricane.
00:10:05.540
It had been in the Caribbean.
00:10:06.900
It had been higher.
00:10:07.560
It had been as high as a Category 4 hurricane,
00:10:09.340
but then it had lost strength
00:10:10.880
and then it gained strength again
00:10:12.900
as it came back
00:10:13.820
and made landfall into Texas.
00:10:15.520
Category 1 hurricane
00:10:16.680
is 74 to 95 miles an hour of wind
00:10:19.720
and it's a dangerous hurricane.
00:10:22.120
Category 2 is 96 to 110 mile per hour wind.
00:10:25.480
So barrel had winds
00:10:26.900
of about 100 miles an hour,
00:10:28.200
a little bit more than that.
00:10:30.040
That's a lot,
00:10:31.140
but a Category 5 hurricane
00:10:33.100
is 157 miles an hour or faster.
00:10:36.220
So it was not in the order of hurricanes
00:10:40.120
among the strongest in wind.
00:10:42.500
But what happened,
00:10:43.460
it was interesting.
00:10:44.160
I think back to something
00:10:45.220
like Hurricane Harvey
00:10:46.220
where we saw a lot of trees
00:10:48.360
that had snapped,
00:10:49.360
a lot of telephone poles
00:10:50.480
that had snapped.
00:10:51.900
You know,
00:10:52.120
what happened with this
00:10:53.260
is a lot of trees were uprooted
00:10:54.800
and part of it is
00:10:55.700
there was so much rain
00:10:56.880
that the soil got very moist
00:10:59.440
and then the wind
00:11:00.280
would literally blow the tree over
00:11:01.820
and so the roots
00:11:02.480
would come straight out
00:11:03.580
and the entire tree would topple.
00:11:05.820
And so I saw as I was driving around
00:11:07.820
and I spent a lot of time
00:11:09.320
touring around
00:11:10.200
and seeing the damage,
00:11:12.140
I saw a lot of trees
00:11:13.320
that had been toppled altogether.
00:11:15.100
And that may be,
00:11:17.040
it may be the combination
00:11:18.620
of rain and wind,
00:11:19.780
but I don't know.
00:11:20.880
But for whatever reason,
00:11:22.700
the number of power lines
00:11:25.200
that went out
00:11:26.060
exceeded certainly any hurricane
00:11:28.560
in recent history.
00:11:31.480
There's a lot of people
00:11:32.000
that are probably going to be listening
00:11:33.120
that don't have power.
00:11:34.800
Maybe they've charged their phones
00:11:35.960
in their car
00:11:36.600
and they're looking for something
00:11:38.760
to take their mind off it.
00:11:40.140
What is it looking like
00:11:41.240
for power restoration?
00:11:42.400
What did they brief you on?
00:11:43.820
Well,
00:11:44.180
they're systematically making improvements
00:11:46.340
on power restoration.
00:11:47.780
As I said,
00:11:48.340
they have brought in
00:11:49.020
over 10,000 linemen.
00:11:50.960
Now,
00:11:51.160
I will say there was a story
00:11:52.540
that broke today
00:11:53.640
that was actually get
00:11:54.940
really going after Centerpoint
00:11:57.240
for not having staged
00:11:59.020
out-of-state linemen
00:12:00.220
to be prepared early on.
00:12:02.580
And there was some real frustration
00:12:04.400
that was expressed
00:12:06.200
in terms of Centerpoint,
00:12:09.440
the electric company
00:12:11.300
not taking the threat
00:12:12.660
of this storm
00:12:13.600
coming to Houston
00:12:14.360
seriously enough.
00:12:15.880
Now,
00:12:16.280
today,
00:12:17.100
I was down in Galveston.
00:12:19.020
I was down in Jamaica Beach.
00:12:20.180
I was down in Angleton
00:12:22.320
and Freeport.
00:12:23.880
And when I was in Galveston,
00:12:25.980
we did a meeting
00:12:26.760
with Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.
00:12:28.480
He is the acting governor right now
00:12:30.120
because Greg Abbott
00:12:31.080
is actually over in Korea
00:12:33.400
on a long-planned trip
00:12:34.600
that he had been on.
00:12:37.040
And so the lieutenant governor
00:12:38.140
is the acting governor.
00:12:39.940
And it was interesting.
00:12:41.020
We did a press conference
00:12:42.160
afterwards
00:12:42.640
where reporters
00:12:43.400
were really grilling
00:12:44.420
the lieutenant governor
00:12:45.720
about,
00:12:46.280
are you angry
00:12:47.440
at Centerpoint?
00:12:48.340
And I'll say,
00:12:49.100
actually,
00:12:49.980
Dan Patrick's
00:12:51.040
a good friend of mine,
00:12:51.760
but to his credit,
00:12:52.600
he gave the right answer,
00:12:53.800
which is,
00:12:54.120
look,
00:12:54.400
we need to concentrate
00:12:55.460
right now
00:12:56.120
on getting people's power
00:12:57.020
restored.
00:12:57.520
There will be plenty
00:12:58.780
of time to go back
00:12:59.860
and assess
00:13:00.540
what mistakes,
00:13:02.000
if any,
00:13:02.280
were made,
00:13:02.880
but the time to do it
00:13:04.140
is not at a time
00:13:05.740
of emergency.
00:13:06.720
And one of the things
00:13:07.860
for folks that listen
00:13:08.800
to verdict
00:13:10.280
who are not in Texas,
00:13:12.920
you may not necessarily
00:13:13.820
understand why power
00:13:15.080
being down
00:13:15.700
for an extended period
00:13:16.600
of time
00:13:17.060
is a health risk,
00:13:18.220
but particularly
00:13:19.680
in a place
00:13:20.520
like Houston
00:13:21.180
where it is
00:13:22.240
incredibly hot,
00:13:24.020
you run a real risk
00:13:25.160
of heat stroke
00:13:26.820
of people
00:13:27.340
without air conditioning,
00:13:29.100
their health
00:13:29.820
being at risk.
00:13:30.940
There was down
00:13:32.100
in Galveston,
00:13:33.680
there was a gentleman
00:13:34.380
who died
00:13:35.060
because the power
00:13:35.820
went out
00:13:36.280
and he was on oxygen
00:13:37.120
and the machine
00:13:38.960
giving him oxygen
00:13:39.860
lost power
00:13:40.660
and he didn't have
00:13:41.060
any more batteries
00:13:41.700
and that cost his life.
00:13:43.900
There also
00:13:44.700
are people
00:13:45.840
who died
00:13:46.460
from carbon monoxide
00:13:47.520
poisoning.
00:13:48.260
So a second thing
00:13:49.060
that happens
00:13:49.640
is people set up
00:13:50.960
generators
00:13:51.460
when their power
00:13:52.120
goes down
00:13:52.700
but they don't realize
00:13:53.880
that a generator
00:13:55.300
that has say
00:13:56.120
a gasoline
00:13:56.580
or diesel engine
00:13:57.480
is emitting
00:13:59.000
carbon dioxide
00:14:00.820
which is odorless
00:14:01.980
and invisible
00:14:03.680
but if you
00:14:05.040
breathe it in
00:14:06.120
so if it's in your house
00:14:07.180
which is a terrible idea
00:14:08.180
or if it's even near the house
00:14:09.320
or near a window
00:14:09.920
you can die from that.
00:14:12.380
Canadian women
00:14:13.160
are looking for more.
00:14:14.480
More out of themselves,
00:14:15.560
their businesses,
00:14:16.500
their elected leaders,
00:14:17.520
and the world are out of them
00:14:18.460
and that's why
00:14:19.120
we're thrilled
00:14:19.640
to introduce
00:14:20.280
the Honest Talk Podcast.
00:14:22.400
I'm Jennifer Stewart
00:14:23.320
and I'm Catherine Clark
00:14:24.540
and in this podcast
00:14:25.620
we interview
00:14:26.420
Canada's most inspiring women
00:14:28.200
entrepreneurs,
00:14:29.260
artists,
00:14:29.920
athletes,
00:14:30.540
politicians,
00:14:31.260
and newsmakers
00:14:31.860
all at different stages
00:14:33.160
of their journey.
00:14:34.340
So if you're looking
00:14:35.340
to connect
00:14:35.880
then we hope
00:14:36.560
you'll join us.
00:14:37.540
Listen to the Honest Talk Podcast
00:14:38.760
on iHeart Radio
00:14:39.840
or wherever you listen
00:14:40.900
to your podcasts.
00:14:43.680
Finally,
00:14:44.320
center on this,
00:14:45.200
there's some people
00:14:45.840
that listen
00:14:46.280
and they may be
00:14:47.180
out of Texas
00:14:47.920
that are listening
00:14:48.640
and they say,
00:14:49.320
hey,
00:14:49.500
we'd love to help.
00:14:50.660
What are the needs
00:14:51.480
and how can you help people?
00:14:53.340
Well,
00:14:53.480
let me say
00:14:53.820
the number one thing
00:14:54.560
people can do
00:14:55.280
is here in Texas.
00:14:56.380
You mentioned
00:14:56.940
that you were
00:14:57.340
helping your neighbors
00:14:58.200
clean up trees,
00:15:00.100
clean up all of the debris.
00:15:02.780
That's happening
00:15:03.500
all over Texas
00:15:04.320
and I have to say,
00:15:05.960
you know,
00:15:06.160
it's been 12 years
00:15:06.900
I've been in the Senate.
00:15:07.780
I've seen dozens
00:15:09.480
if not hundreds
00:15:10.400
of disasters
00:15:11.180
over that time period.
00:15:12.280
Texas is a big place
00:15:13.420
and whether it's hurricanes
00:15:14.520
or tornadoes
00:15:16.360
up in the Panhandle
00:15:17.240
or Dallas
00:15:17.700
or the wildfires
00:15:18.640
that were in the Panhandles,
00:15:20.260
every time
00:15:21.340
we have a crisis
00:15:23.160
we see the same thing
00:15:24.300
which is we see
00:15:24.920
Texans helping Texans.
00:15:26.400
We see people
00:15:27.200
helping each other out.
00:15:28.340
We see people
00:15:29.180
rescuing people
00:15:31.080
from harm's way.
00:15:32.940
Yesterday
00:15:33.420
as I was going
00:15:34.120
through Houston
00:15:34.740
I helped one gentleman
00:15:36.100
lift up his fence
00:15:39.200
and pull it out of the way.
00:15:40.900
We stopped at another place
00:15:42.220
and helped a family
00:15:43.340
who was trying to
00:15:44.160
trying to cut up a tree
00:15:46.740
and dispose of the pieces
00:15:48.040
of the tree.
00:15:49.100
That's happening every day
00:15:50.520
and I'll tell you
00:15:50.980
the churches in particular
00:15:52.340
are incredibly active
00:15:54.200
and I'll give an example.
00:15:55.180
Yesterday
00:15:55.580
I went and visited someone
00:15:57.400
you and I both know well
00:15:58.440
Mattress Mac.
00:15:59.220
Mattress Mac
00:15:59.820
is a Houston legend.
00:16:02.280
He is a man named
00:16:03.240
Jim McInvale.
00:16:04.200
He owns Gallery Furniture.
00:16:06.240
I grew up as a kid
00:16:07.680
he would be
00:16:08.560
late night on TV
00:16:09.820
and he'd run these ads.
00:16:11.020
He'd be yelling on TV
00:16:12.080
going
00:16:12.520
Gallery Furniture
00:16:13.560
really will save you money
00:16:15.600
and he'd pull out
00:16:16.340
a lot of money.
00:16:18.140
And look
00:16:19.560
it would be on
00:16:20.420
channel 26 or 39
00:16:21.940
which were the UHF channels
00:16:23.560
but he ran them constantly.
00:16:25.540
He's an amazing marketer
00:16:27.160
but he also has
00:16:28.620
an incredible heart
00:16:29.800
for Houston
00:16:30.380
and so what he did
00:16:31.140
during Hurricane Harvey
00:16:32.080
and what he did
00:16:33.180
during Hurricane Barrel
00:16:34.620
he opened up
00:16:35.980
Gallery Furniture
00:16:36.720
and he said
00:16:37.100
number one
00:16:37.620
if you need a place
00:16:38.520
to stay
00:16:39.440
if your home
00:16:40.380
is destroyed
00:16:41.060
come stay here
00:16:42.700
we have beds
00:16:43.400
we have couches
00:16:44.040
we have chairs
00:16:44.800
and he also said
00:16:46.420
if you need food
00:16:47.440
come we have food
00:16:49.120
and so I went
00:16:49.660
and visited
00:16:50.140
Mattress Mac
00:16:50.840
at Gallery Furniture
00:16:51.640
yesterday
00:16:52.080
there were a number
00:16:52.680
of Houstonians
00:16:53.360
who were taking
00:16:53.800
shelter there.
00:16:55.420
Yesterday
00:16:55.860
Mac tested me
00:16:56.860
last night
00:16:57.860
he fed over
00:16:59.540
3,000 Houstonians
00:17:01.300
yesterday
00:17:01.680
because all the
00:17:02.420
restaurants were closed.
00:17:03.880
You couldn't get food
00:17:04.880
and by the way
00:17:05.400
if your power is out
00:17:06.520
your refrigerator
00:17:07.640
the food in there
00:17:08.800
is spoiling
00:17:09.360
and so he just
00:17:10.160
they were making brisket
00:17:11.260
and they were just
00:17:11.900
feeding people
00:17:12.660
if you want to help
00:17:14.680
you can help
00:17:15.320
through your church
00:17:16.340
you can help
00:17:16.740
through the Red Cross
00:17:17.480
you can help
00:17:17.920
through the Salvation Army
00:17:19.120
you know
00:17:19.900
I'll tell you
00:17:20.600
one other story
00:17:21.420
which is today
00:17:23.240
I was down
00:17:23.900
in Jamaica Beach
00:17:24.740
which is a
00:17:25.380
smaller beach
00:17:26.580
that's part of Galveston
00:17:27.640
and it was hit
00:17:28.980
pretty hard
00:17:29.600
and I visited
00:17:30.740
with a woman
00:17:31.420
whose house
00:17:33.620
was hit by a tornado
00:17:34.860
that spawned
00:17:35.740
within the hurricane
00:17:36.480
and the tornado
00:17:37.880
pulled the roof
00:17:38.800
off her house
00:17:39.400
I saw the house
00:17:40.200
I saw the roof
00:17:40.980
that had been flung
00:17:42.020
across the road
00:17:42.920
and she described
00:17:44.600
how she called 911
00:17:45.720
and the chief of police
00:17:48.180
was there
00:17:48.780
she said
00:17:49.320
within 60 seconds
00:17:50.420
and the chief of police
00:17:52.380
Jamaica Beach
00:17:53.740
is a small town
00:17:54.560
but he came in
00:17:55.380
and he rescued her
00:17:56.260
he brought her out
00:17:56.940
brought her to the police station
00:17:58.060
which was very close
00:17:59.460
to where her house was
00:18:01.640
now what was interesting
00:18:03.040
is the police officers
00:18:04.080
I was touring around
00:18:05.300
the destruction
00:18:06.120
and visiting
00:18:06.680
with the mayor
00:18:07.700
and the chief of police
00:18:08.460
and the fire chief
00:18:09.220
and the local officials
00:18:10.180
they showed me
00:18:11.260
another house
00:18:11.820
just a few houses down
00:18:13.080
that a big chunk
00:18:14.620
of the roof
00:18:15.060
had come off
00:18:15.720
and an officer
00:18:17.140
had come up
00:18:17.700
and come up the stairs
00:18:18.420
and said
00:18:18.820
you know
00:18:19.240
sir do you need
00:18:20.180
to be rescued
00:18:20.820
and the guy
00:18:21.740
said you know
00:18:22.440
no I'm just fine
00:18:23.420
I'm in my bathroom
00:18:24.140
leave me alone
00:18:24.860
which I have to admit
00:18:27.320
is a very Texan
00:18:28.260
thing to do also
00:18:29.080
there's always
00:18:29.880
some people
00:18:30.480
that just sort of
00:18:31.320
brave it out
00:18:32.820
but that pattern
00:18:34.580
of people
00:18:36.360
helping people
00:18:37.740
helping each other
00:18:38.860
is consistent
00:18:42.100
and is inspiring
00:18:43.340
and what's cool
00:18:44.340
about it Ben
00:18:44.840
is when that happens
00:18:45.940
there are no Republicans
00:18:48.540
and Democrats
00:18:49.200
there is no race
00:18:50.260
there is no ethnicity
00:18:51.180
there is no religion
00:18:52.220
you just have Texans
00:18:53.800
helping Texans
00:18:54.540
you have brothers
00:18:55.180
and sisters
00:18:55.720
helping each other
00:18:56.640
and it's a beautiful
00:18:58.180
beautiful thing
00:18:59.180
I am never prouder
00:19:00.780
to be a Texan
00:19:01.600
than seeing
00:19:02.180
how people respond
00:19:03.520
in times of crisis
00:19:04.440
yeah amen to that
00:19:05.920
and watching other people
00:19:06.960
help people
00:19:07.360
like you said
00:19:07.900
is really
00:19:08.660
I think
00:19:09.400
one of the great
00:19:10.780
goods that comes
00:19:12.400
out of these
00:19:13.500
type of events
00:19:14.300
is that neighbors
00:19:15.140
meet neighbors
00:19:15.840
and neighbors
00:19:17.460
become friends
00:19:18.340
and people help
00:19:19.100
one another
00:19:19.520
and it's just
00:19:20.000
it's incredible
00:19:20.660
to see that Texas spirit
00:19:21.680
as you described it
00:19:22.520
no doubt about it
00:19:23.680
well and the church
00:19:24.980
and the church
00:19:26.040
does what the church
00:19:27.280
should do
00:19:27.800
which is the church
00:19:28.660
should be helping people
00:19:30.140
the church
00:19:30.580
should be feeding people
00:19:31.620
the church
00:19:32.060
should be clothing people
00:19:33.580
and particularly
00:19:34.280
in times of crisis
00:19:35.300
we see the church
00:19:36.560
stepping up
00:19:37.200
and that's really important
00:19:38.940
in terms of making a difference
00:19:40.640
yeah absolutely
00:19:42.020
want to talk about
00:19:43.400
what's happening
00:19:44.020
also in DC
00:19:44.800
we're going to deal
00:19:45.460
with that in a moment
00:19:46.000
but first let me tell you
00:19:46.860
about our friends
00:19:47.320
over at Patriot Mobile
00:19:48.240
if you have a cell phone
00:19:49.780
and your cell phone
00:19:50.860
is a big mobile
00:19:51.660
you may not realize this
00:19:53.580
but you've been helping
00:19:54.600
a lot of Democratic candidates
00:19:56.380
causes
00:19:57.420
and radical organizations
00:19:58.920
including Planned Parenthood
00:20:00.680
yeah Big Mobile
00:20:01.880
are big supporters
00:20:02.820
of the left
00:20:03.460
and they're fighting
00:20:04.220
against your values
00:20:05.580
and that is exactly
00:20:06.940
why 10 years ago
00:20:08.340
more than 10 years ago
00:20:09.280
actually Patriot Mobile
00:20:10.240
was started by a group
00:20:11.260
of conservatives
00:20:11.860
that said hey
00:20:12.480
we're not going to
00:20:13.480
give our money
00:20:14.060
these companies
00:20:14.660
that are giving
00:20:15.320
our cash
00:20:16.320
when we pay our bill
00:20:17.580
to Planned Parenthood
00:20:18.680
and to other organizations
00:20:20.180
like that
00:20:20.860
they started Patriot Mobile
00:20:22.680
and now
00:20:23.280
more than ever
00:20:24.180
in 2024
00:20:24.800
it is easy
00:20:26.020
to switch
00:20:26.680
your provider
00:20:27.940
you get to keep
00:20:29.360
your same number
00:20:30.020
you have now
00:20:30.680
you get to keep
00:20:31.820
your same exact service
00:20:32.980
because they all use
00:20:33.740
the same towers now
00:20:34.800
with technology
00:20:35.460
in 2024
00:20:36.140
and that's another reason
00:20:37.920
why you should call
00:20:39.340
Patriot Mobile
00:20:40.420
I have switched
00:20:41.520
my lines over
00:20:42.420
and I can tell you
00:20:43.540
my coverage
00:20:44.420
is phenomenal
00:20:45.040
even during this hurricane
00:20:46.600
I had the service
00:20:48.080
that I needed
00:20:48.760
so if you want
00:20:50.360
to make the switch
00:20:51.240
call them right now
00:20:52.760
because here's the fun part
00:20:54.040
when you pay your bill
00:20:54.880
every month
00:20:55.380
at no extra cost
00:20:56.360
to you
00:20:56.720
they take about 5%
00:20:58.240
of that bill
00:20:58.700
and they give it
00:20:59.260
directly back
00:21:00.060
to organizations
00:21:01.020
and causes
00:21:01.780
that support
00:21:02.340
free speech
00:21:03.120
religious freedom
00:21:04.340
the sanctity of life
00:21:06.060
the second amendment
00:21:07.240
and then they do this
00:21:08.420
they support our military
00:21:09.920
our veterans
00:21:10.780
our first responders
00:21:11.880
and our wounded warrior heroes
00:21:14.020
so stop giving your money
00:21:16.020
to companies
00:21:16.400
that hate your values
00:21:17.340
and stand with a company
00:21:18.760
that supports
00:21:19.400
what we believe in
00:21:20.240
just go to

00:21:41.360
Senator I want to get
00:21:42.540
to what's happening
00:21:43.320
obviously in DC
00:21:44.560
it is still
00:21:45.640
a full blown
00:21:46.540
civil war
00:21:47.540
within the
00:21:48.740
democratic party
00:21:49.820
right now
00:21:50.460
the president
00:21:51.580
trying a new tactic
00:21:52.940
sending letters
00:21:54.100
to major players
00:21:56.460
in the democratic
00:21:57.040
party saying
00:21:57.840
hey
00:21:58.260
and notes
00:21:58.980
I'm the guy
00:22:00.200
you're not going
00:22:00.860
to get rid of me
00:22:01.620
you can panic
00:22:02.520
all you want to
00:22:03.680
but we're not moving
00:22:05.800
and this is
00:22:07.320
more democrats
00:22:08.200
have actually been
00:22:08.780
coming out publicly
00:22:09.900
saying he must
00:22:11.140
step aside
00:22:12.000
well that's right
00:22:13.840
it's been a virtual
00:22:14.940
avalanche
00:22:15.680
of number one
00:22:16.760
democrats
00:22:17.320
trying to push him
00:22:18.460
out
00:22:18.700
but number two
00:22:19.620
the media
00:22:20.080
really freaking
00:22:20.720
out
00:22:21.060
and the corporate
00:22:22.180
media has been
00:22:23.240
in many ways
00:22:24.960
the most important
00:22:26.960
ally of the democrats
00:22:28.120
they've been
00:22:28.700
radicalized
00:22:29.460
they've abandoned
00:22:30.240
their role of
00:22:31.480
journalism
00:22:31.960
because they
00:22:32.740
are the left
00:22:34.520
wing of the
00:22:34.980
democrat party
00:22:35.800
it is striking
00:22:37.620
to suddenly see
00:22:39.340
the corporate
00:22:39.860
media
00:22:40.340
actually reporting
00:22:42.500
on the
00:22:43.440
very significant
00:22:45.100
health challenges
00:22:46.140
that Biden
00:22:48.520
is presenting
00:22:50.180
and by the way
00:22:50.760
those health
00:22:51.420
challenges were
00:22:52.060
there before the
00:22:52.660
debate
00:22:52.920
they're just
00:22:53.420
freaking out
00:22:54.000
now because
00:22:54.500
they don't think
00:22:55.020
he can win
00:22:55.600
but for example
00:22:57.560
I want folks
00:22:58.360
to listen to
00:22:59.160
this is a story
00:23:00.100
that NBC
00:23:01.880
news ran
00:23:03.060
today
00:23:03.640
now this is
00:23:04.260
not Fox
00:23:05.280
news
00:23:05.620
this is not
00:23:06.380
a right wing
00:23:07.220
source
00:23:07.560
this is NBC
00:23:08.400
can you just
00:23:09.500
take a moment
00:23:10.320
and let's just
00:23:10.960
savor the
00:23:11.580
not only hypocrisy
00:23:12.720
but the fact
00:23:13.260
that you just
00:23:13.800
said this is
00:23:15.220
NBC news
00:23:17.100
that's doing
00:23:17.780
what we're about
00:23:18.320
to play you
00:23:18.900
just give a listen
00:23:19.880
to talk more
00:23:21.080
about those
00:23:21.580
eight white house
00:23:22.720
visits by the
00:23:23.460
Parkinson's expert
00:23:24.320
I'm joined
00:23:24.700
tonight by
00:23:25.160
Dr. Tom Pitts
00:23:26.180
he's a
00:23:26.640
quadruple board
00:23:27.700
certified neurologist
00:23:28.860
he sees
00:23:29.300
patients with
00:23:30.220
Parkinson's all
00:23:31.220
the time
00:23:31.560
he diagnoses it
00:23:32.700
I want to be
00:23:33.280
completely transparent
00:23:34.060
here
00:23:34.320
you've never
00:23:34.920
examined
00:23:35.440
President Biden
00:23:36.140
from my knowledge
00:23:37.040
you've never
00:23:37.260
even spoken
00:23:37.900
yet
00:23:39.280
to President
00:23:39.860
Biden
00:23:40.160
and we're
00:23:41.540
just going to
00:23:41.920
use what we
00:23:42.560
have so far
00:23:43.300
which is what
00:23:43.760
we've seen
00:23:44.380
the president's
00:23:45.180
interviews
00:23:45.520
and the information
00:23:46.340
coming out of the
00:23:46.900
White House
00:23:47.320
so my first
00:23:48.080
question to you
00:23:48.620
is as somebody
00:23:49.120
who's a neurologist
00:23:50.060
what you've seen
00:23:51.480
from the president
00:23:52.100
over the last
00:23:52.660
two years
00:23:53.060
what you saw
00:23:53.600
at the debate
00:23:54.160
the last few
00:23:55.400
interviews
00:23:55.800
the way he speaks
00:23:57.380
the way maybe
00:23:57.940
he walks
00:23:58.780
have you noticed
00:23:59.640
anything that
00:24:00.480
gives you a red flag
00:24:01.640
as a doctor
00:24:02.420
oh yeah
00:24:03.040
I see him
00:24:03.420
20 times a day
00:24:04.340
in clinic
00:24:04.740
I mean
00:24:05.160
it's ironic
00:24:05.900
because he has
00:24:06.720
just this classic
00:24:07.580
features of
00:24:08.180
neurodegeneration
00:24:08.980
I mean
00:24:09.300
word finding
00:24:10.060
difficulties
00:24:10.680
and that's not
00:24:11.380
oh I couldn't
00:24:11.840
find the word
00:24:12.300
that's from
00:24:12.880
degeneration
00:24:13.460
of the word
00:24:14.340
retrieval area
00:24:15.000
he's also
00:24:15.460
overcome stuttering
00:24:16.360
though
00:24:16.680
could that
00:24:17.240
could that
00:24:17.560
be part of
00:24:18.060
that too
00:24:18.440
no this is
00:24:19.020
not a palatal
00:24:19.660
issue
00:24:20.020
or a speech
00:24:20.640
discrepancy
00:24:21.240
which is very
00:24:21.740
different from
00:24:22.320
a limino
00:24:22.880
dysfunction
00:24:23.380
actual word
00:24:24.100
retrieval
00:24:24.620
where you pick
00:24:25.320
a similar
00:24:25.840
question
00:24:26.340
or talk around
00:24:27.420
the issue
00:24:27.840
plus the rigidity
00:24:28.780
monotone
00:24:30.360
voice
00:24:30.840
wait go back
00:24:31.360
to that
00:24:31.560
the rigidity
00:24:32.060
what do you
00:24:32.400
mean
00:24:32.620
rigidity
00:24:32.900
loss of arm
00:24:33.740
swing
00:24:34.180
standing up
00:24:34.920
lordotically
00:24:35.660
you notice
00:24:36.380
when he turns
00:24:37.060
it's kind of
00:24:37.500
end block
00:24:38.020
turning
00:24:38.480
it's not a
00:24:39.020
quick turn
00:24:39.700
so that's
00:24:41.520
one of the
00:24:41.740
hallmarks
00:24:42.120
of parkinsonism
00:24:43.020
is rigidity
00:24:43.840
and bradykinesia
00:24:45.140
slow movement
00:24:46.120
and he has
00:24:47.060
that hallmark
00:24:47.580
especially with
00:24:48.020
the low
00:24:48.740
voice that
00:24:49.220
was a cold
00:24:49.900
hypophonia
00:24:51.100
a small
00:24:53.000
monotone voice
00:24:54.020
like this over
00:24:54.600
time is a
00:24:55.580
hallmark of
00:24:56.160
parkinsonism
00:24:56.840
I could have
00:24:57.340
diagnosed him
00:24:57.860
from across
00:24:58.400
the mall
00:24:58.900
let's just
00:24:59.840
stop there
00:25:00.440
and we'll
00:25:00.980
play more
00:25:01.440
of this
00:25:01.760
but I
00:25:02.500
have to
00:25:03.180
get your
00:25:03.680
initial reaction
00:25:04.480
if you
00:25:05.940
had a
00:25:06.940
conservative
00:25:08.160
news outlet
00:25:08.820
let's just
00:25:09.380
use Fox
00:25:10.120
News Channel
00:25:10.520
for example
00:25:11.120
that would
00:25:12.260
have done
00:25:12.660
this same
00:25:13.220
exact segment
00:25:14.080
three and a
00:25:15.520
half weeks
00:25:16.020
ago
00:25:16.400
they would
00:25:17.660
have been
00:25:17.980
calling for
00:25:18.880
this doctor
00:25:20.600
to lose
00:25:21.820
his medical
00:25:22.300
license
00:25:22.940
they would
00:25:23.880
have
00:25:24.040
the White
00:25:24.540
House would
00:25:25.000
have fought
00:25:25.500
back vigorously
00:25:26.600
and said
00:25:27.240
that this is
00:25:27.740
just evil
00:25:28.380
and sick
00:25:28.940
and perverted
00:25:29.640
and that
00:25:30.420
this is
00:25:30.740
irresponsible
00:25:31.520
but NBC
00:25:32.680
News is
00:25:33.400
doing it
00:25:33.760
now trying
00:25:34.180
to take
00:25:34.540
out Joe
00:25:34.960
Biden
00:25:35.260
because they
00:25:35.600
think he's
00:25:36.020
going to
00:25:36.340
lose
00:25:36.780
and they
00:25:37.620
give a
00:25:38.160
doctor
00:25:38.640
six minutes
00:25:40.080
we've only
00:25:40.560
played a
00:25:40.920
minute and a
00:25:41.200
half of this
00:25:41.780
to tell you
00:25:43.220
why he
00:25:43.840
believes the
00:25:44.580
president has
00:25:45.440
Parkinson's
00:25:46.440
yeah look
00:25:47.500
it's stunning
00:25:48.440
and you're
00:25:49.800
right the
00:25:50.180
corporate media
00:25:50.720
would have
00:25:51.040
lost their
00:25:51.520
mind a
00:25:52.020
month ago
00:25:52.560
if any
00:25:53.500
right of
00:25:53.900
center outlet
00:25:54.680
aired this
00:25:55.780
identical piece
00:25:56.660
the New York
00:25:57.140
Times would
00:25:57.660
be clutching
00:25:58.200
their pearls
00:25:58.800
they would
00:25:59.520
say this
00:26:00.020
is voodoo
00:26:01.200
medicine
00:26:01.700
this is
00:26:02.280
an utter
00:26:03.600
lie
00:26:04.060
this is
00:26:05.300
unprincipled
00:26:06.240
fiction
00:26:06.740
that's what
00:26:07.220
they would
00:26:07.480
have said
00:26:07.920
and now
00:26:09.240
you see
00:26:09.820
NBC
00:26:10.300
you see
00:26:10.940
the corporate
00:26:11.420
media
00:26:11.820
desperately
00:26:12.760
desperately
00:26:13.480
trying to
00:26:14.280
do everything
00:26:14.820
they can
00:26:15.300
my favorite
00:26:16.000
line of this
00:26:16.580
doctor was
00:26:17.220
I would have
00:26:18.280
diagnosed him
00:26:19.060
from across
00:26:19.640
the mall
00:26:20.200
which by the
00:26:22.080
way you and
00:26:22.880
I argued
00:26:23.540
right before
00:26:24.020
we taped
00:26:24.480
this pod
00:26:25.040
you thought
00:26:26.280
he meant
00:26:26.660
the national
00:26:27.280
mall
00:26:27.680
I don't
00:26:28.280
think so
00:26:28.740
I think
00:26:29.140
he means
00:26:29.780
like Joe's
00:26:30.500
shopping center
00:26:31.400
yeah
00:26:31.680
you may be
00:26:33.780
right
00:26:34.140
and by the
00:26:35.280
way NBC
00:26:36.360
wasn't done
00:26:37.440
listen to the
00:26:38.360
second part
00:26:39.140
of this
00:26:39.720
I'm up there
00:26:40.880
on the screen
00:26:41.180
if we can
00:26:41.400
put him back
00:26:41.940
what about
00:26:43.120
the movement
00:26:43.780
some people
00:26:44.240
have pointed
00:26:45.300
out the way
00:26:45.780
he walks
00:26:46.260
sometimes
00:26:46.620
it's not
00:26:46.980
very fast
00:26:47.600
small steps
00:26:48.180
is that
00:26:49.000
something
00:26:49.320
that is
00:26:50.000
common in
00:26:50.720
people who
00:26:51.080
are battling
00:26:51.900
a disease
00:26:52.400
like Parkinson's
00:26:52.940
yeah it's a
00:26:53.240
hallmark
00:26:53.580
shuffling gait
00:26:54.460
we call that
00:26:55.100
so little
00:26:55.500
steps
00:26:55.960
loss of arm
00:26:57.320
swing from
00:26:57.880
the rigidity
00:26:58.400
when we walk
00:26:59.020
we have a nice
00:26:59.480
cadence
00:26:59.860
you notice
00:27:00.340
he doesn't
00:27:00.600
really swing
00:27:01.000
his arms
00:27:01.360
and end
00:27:02.080
block turning
00:27:02.780
meaning he
00:27:03.440
kind of
00:27:03.780
pivots
00:27:04.280
around his
00:27:05.120
foot
00:27:05.480
if you said
00:27:06.240
hey
00:27:06.460
President
00:27:06.900
Biden
00:27:07.160
he wouldn't
00:27:07.620
go like
00:27:08.000
this
00:27:08.400
but I also
00:27:10.020
know
00:27:10.300
tell me if
00:27:11.120
I'm wrong
00:27:11.400
here
00:27:11.540
it's very
00:27:11.940
hard to
00:27:12.360
diagnose
00:27:12.720
Parkinson's
00:27:13.300
isn't it
00:27:15.780
it's one of
00:27:17.540
the easier
00:27:17.920
movement disorders
00:27:18.740
to diagnose
00:27:19.320
actually
00:27:19.920
but it's so
00:27:20.700
clinic
00:27:21.040
there's very
00:27:21.780
little other
00:27:22.300
and I'm a
00:27:22.740
Democrat
00:27:23.480
I always say
00:27:23.980
this
00:27:24.460
it's just
00:27:25.380
like
00:27:25.620
this guy
00:27:26.700
is not
00:27:26.940
a hard
00:27:27.280
case
00:27:27.740
but I've
00:27:28.020
had relatives
00:27:28.840
who have
00:27:29.120
gone through
00:27:29.440
issues
00:27:29.820
neurological
00:27:30.220
issues
00:27:30.600
and I've
00:27:31.060
heard that
00:27:31.640
sometimes
00:27:32.240
Parkinson's
00:27:32.760
is not
00:27:33.080
very easy
00:27:33.680
to nail
00:27:34.000
you have
00:27:34.540
to take
00:27:34.940
a lot
00:27:35.120
of tests
00:27:35.520
early on
00:27:37.720
if you're
00:27:37.980
just presented
00:27:38.360
with hallucinations
00:27:39.400
that could be
00:27:39.760
a variety
00:27:40.140
of things
00:27:40.460
or just
00:27:41.120
the cognitive
00:27:41.700
problems
00:27:42.180
that could
00:27:42.460
be Alzheimer's
00:27:43.480
versus
00:27:43.900
Parkinsonism
00:27:45.120
and that
00:27:45.560
becomes
00:27:45.860
a little
00:27:46.080
nebulous
00:27:46.500
but once
00:27:47.080
you start
00:27:47.420
manifesting
00:27:48.000
the hallmark
00:27:48.720
motor symptoms
00:27:49.440
slow movement
00:27:50.700
rigidity
00:27:51.500
mass
00:27:52.020
facies
00:27:52.580
hypophonia
00:27:53.620
I mean
00:27:54.060
if a med
00:27:54.520
student
00:27:54.840
did not
00:27:55.400
pick
00:27:55.660
Parkinson's
00:27:56.240
on the
00:27:56.460
test
00:27:56.900
they'd be
00:27:57.820
remediated
00:27:58.360
let me ask
00:27:58.880
you
00:27:58.980
if you had
00:27:59.520
if you
00:27:59.900
had
00:28:00.180
you know
00:28:00.780
and I
00:28:00.940
know
00:28:01.040
you can't
00:28:01.940
you have
00:28:02.400
no idea
00:28:02.660
what happened
00:28:02.980
in the
00:28:03.140
White House
00:28:03.400
but a
00:28:04.100
neurologist
00:28:04.540
coming
00:28:04.760
eight times
00:28:05.280
in eight
00:28:05.560
months
00:28:05.900
does that
00:28:06.440
tell you
00:28:06.780
anything
00:28:07.100
is that
00:28:07.480
is that
00:28:08.060
I mean
00:28:08.300
I know
00:28:08.680
you're just
00:28:09.020
you're just
00:28:09.380
sort of
00:28:10.120
speculating
00:28:11.280
here
00:28:11.480
but does
00:28:11.720
that
00:28:11.820
tell
00:28:11.980
you
00:28:12.080
anything
00:28:12.300
or no
00:28:12.640
well
00:28:12.820
I mean
00:28:13.040
I don't
00:28:13.300
know
00:28:13.400
if they're
00:28:13.620
like the
00:28:13.880
best of
00:28:14.220
friends
00:28:14.440
or something
00:28:14.800
but that's
00:28:15.140
a very
00:28:15.440
specific
00:28:15.980
you know
00:28:16.480
he's a
00:28:17.040
movement
00:28:17.320
disorder
00:28:17.740
that's a
00:28:18.140
subspecialist
00:28:18.880
in exactly
00:28:19.300
what he has
00:28:19.680
and there's
00:28:19.960
very few
00:28:20.460
young people
00:28:21.380
like a
00:28:21.700
marine guard
00:28:22.400
most people
00:28:23.460
would be
00:28:23.820
med boarded
00:28:24.460
out for
00:28:24.820
any type
00:28:25.280
of movement
00:28:25.700
disorder
00:28:26.080
at a
00:28:26.360
young age
00:28:26.780
like if
00:28:27.020
you had
00:28:27.280
Huntington's
00:28:28.260
Korea
00:28:28.680
early onset
00:28:29.580
Parkinson's
00:28:30.480
dystonia
00:28:31.300
bad essential
00:28:32.380
tremor
00:28:32.980
you're usually
00:28:33.480
med boarded
00:28:34.060
out
00:28:34.180
so I highly
00:28:34.700
doubt
00:28:34.960
what does
00:28:35.280
that mean
00:28:35.640
med boarded
00:28:36.240
out
00:28:36.300
I mean
00:28:36.620
the military
00:28:37.220
would not
00:28:37.660
let you
00:28:38.080
if you have
00:28:38.440
seizures
00:28:38.820
for example
00:28:39.420
you cannot
00:28:40.060
usually be
00:28:40.760
in the military
00:28:41.380
that is
00:28:41.900
you are
00:28:42.380
so you're
00:28:42.840
saying you
00:28:43.680
don't necessarily
00:28:44.380
believe
00:28:45.340
and they're
00:28:45.900
not saying
00:28:46.460
this but
00:28:46.900
they said
00:28:47.460
there's
00:28:47.680
thousands
00:28:47.980
of military
00:28:48.480
members
00:28:48.800
that go
00:28:49.040
to the
00:28:49.260
White House
00:28:49.560
treated
00:28:50.040
there
00:28:50.340
for health
00:28:51.560
reasons
00:28:52.040
you're not
00:28:52.800
buying that
00:28:53.280
that's
00:28:53.580
a random
00:28:54.340
military
00:28:54.840
person
00:28:55.260
no that
00:28:55.540
would be
00:28:55.780
very odd
00:28:56.540
to just
00:28:56.920
see a
00:28:57.300
random
00:28:57.620
movement
00:28:57.980
disorder
00:28:58.380
case
00:28:58.740
at the
00:28:59.180
White House
00:28:59.760
you know
00:29:00.220
especially
00:29:00.520
a young
00:29:01.020
guard
00:29:01.280
there aren't
00:29:01.700
many young
00:29:02.080
people
00:29:02.280
that have
00:29:02.520
movement
00:29:02.740
disorders
00:29:03.260
that could
00:29:04.080
be in
00:29:04.420
the military
00:29:05.000
and then
00:29:06.000
let's just
00:29:07.020
stop there
00:29:07.620
not only
00:29:08.560
did they
00:29:08.880
bring the
00:29:09.280
Parkinson's
00:29:09.780
doctor on
00:29:10.460
they then
00:29:11.200
set him up
00:29:11.960
to say
00:29:12.460
the White
00:29:12.960
House
00:29:13.220
are lying
00:29:13.880
to you
00:29:14.560
and they're
00:29:15.360
liars
00:29:15.900
they're not
00:29:16.440
treating
00:29:16.900
thousands
00:29:17.660
of people
00:29:18.420
on the
00:29:18.800
White House
00:29:19.220
grounds
00:29:19.820
for medical
00:29:20.980
disorders
00:29:21.560
as he
00:29:21.940
described it
00:29:22.800
and the
00:29:23.340
doctor's
00:29:23.760
like you
00:29:24.200
wouldn't do
00:29:24.760
those tests
00:29:25.420
there by
00:29:25.700
the way
00:29:25.860
I believe
00:29:26.240
this doctor
00:29:26.780
I think
00:29:27.400
it's absurd
00:29:28.060
to tell
00:29:29.100
the American
00:29:29.560
people as
00:29:30.040
the White
00:29:30.320
House did
00:29:30.680
this week

00:29:37.900
this guy
00:29:38.720
is saying
00:29:39.100
there's
00:29:39.440
no way
00:29:40.060
that happens
00:29:40.960
yeah
00:29:41.740
look
00:29:42.140
the symptoms
00:29:43.500
that he's
00:29:44.120

00:29:51.560
it's
00:29:51.900
just

that

it in

any

her

because
00:34:11.880
like
00:34:12.140
yeah
00:34:12.340
you
00:34:12.500
got
00:34:12.820
us
00:34:13.000
there
00:34:13.420
that
00:34:14.280
was
00:34:14.480
just
00:34:14.720
weird
00:34:15.180
she's
00:34:15.580
like
00:34:15.760
he's

got
00:34:16.280
a
00:34:16.460

answer
00:34:25.240
that
00:34:25.520
I
00:34:25.760
want

00:38:20.120
ready
00:38:20.260
to
00:38:20.440
solve
00:38:20.640
the
00:38:20.780
problem
00:38:21.140
well
00:38:22.200
it
00:38:22.300
also
00:38:22.560
says
00:38:22.860
the
00:38:23.000
world
00:38:23.200
leaders
00:38:23.520
and
00:38:23.700
it
00:38:23.820
is
00:38:24.020
terrifying
00:38:24.440
to
00:38:24.720
think
00:38:24.880
about
00:38:25.100
this
00:38:25.380
hey
00:38:25.680
here
00:38:26.460
are
00:38:26.600
the
00:38:26.740
best
00:38:27.120
hours
00:38:27.560
to
00:38:27.820
do
00:38:28.100
something
00:38:28.600
whether
00:38:29.020
it's
00:38:29.240
attack
00:38:29.660
this
00:38:30.420
country
00:38:30.860
whether
00:38:31.160
you're
00:38:31.480
terrorists
00:38:32.100
or
00:38:32.620
whether
00:38:32.860
it's
00:38:33.120
to
00:38:33.240
do
00:38:33.400
something
00:38:33.660
around
00:38:33.880
the
00:38:34.020
world
00:38:34.260
because
00:38:34.860
this
00:38:35.700
will
00:38:43.020
say
00:38:43.240
anything
00:38:43.720
you
00:38:45.220
know
00:38:45.420
it
00:38:45.720
is
00:38:46.560
it's
00:38:47.840
why
00:38:48.220
I
00:38:48.460
do
00:38:48.680
not
00:38:48.920
believe
00:38:49.260
Biden
00:38:49.680
is
00:38:49.860
going
00:38:50.040
to
00:38:50.180
be
00:38:50.300
the
00:38:50.460
nominee
00:38:50.780
because
00:38:51.680
the
00:38:52.040
facts
00:38:52.440
are
00:38:52.760
piling
00:38:53.220
up
00:38:53.560
and
00:38:53.680
it's
00:38:53.860
becoming
00:38:54.420
indefensible
00:38:55.380
it
00:38:56.220
may
00:38:56.700
be
00:38:56.880
Michelle
00:38:57.240
Obama
00:38:57.700
it
00:38:58.240
may
00:38:58.640
be
00:38:59.100
Kamala
00:38:59.500
Harris
00:38:59.920
but
00:39:00.160
I
00:39:00.360
think
00:39:00.560
the
00:39:00.760
D's
00:39:01.240
that
00:39:02.080
they
00:39:02.460
are
00:39:02.740
going
00:39:03.140
to
00:39:03.460
pull
00:39:03.920
the
00:39:04.180
plug
00:39:04.580
they
00:39:04.780
are
00:39:04.960
terrified
00:39:05.600
they
00:39:06.020
are
00:39:06.200
panicking
00:39:06.840
and
00:39:07.480
every
00:39:07.960
day
00:39:08.440
as
00:39:08.700
the
00:39:08.880
press
00:39:09.200
continues
00:39:09.760
to
00:39:10.080
turn
00:39:10.560
look
00:39:12.620
you
00:39:12.980
mentioned
00:39:13.320
George
00:39:13.620
Stephanopoulos
00:39:14.260
was
00:39:15.440
asked
00:39:15.920
if
00:39:17.400
he
00:39:19.100
could
00:39:19.280
serve
00:39:19.560
any
00:39:19.740
four
00:39:20.000
more
00:39:20.640
years
00:39:21.080
and
00:39:22.040
he
00:39:22.580
says
00:39:22.880
no
00:39:23.120
he
00:39:23.300
doesn't
00:39:23.560
think
00:39:23.740
he
00:39:23.880
can
00:39:24.160
and
00:39:24.320
then
00:39:24.480
Stephanopoulos
00:39:25.140
backed
00:39:25.420
away
00:39:25.720
and
00:39:25.920
said
00:39:26.140
quote
00:39:26.480
earlier
00:39:27.060
today
00:39:27.360
I
00:39:27.500
responded
00:39:27.940
to
00:39:28.080
a
00:39:28.200
question
00:39:28.460
from
00:39:28.600
a
00:39:28.720
passerby
00:39:29.160
I
00:39:29.320
shouldn't
00:39:29.720
have
00:39:30.000
so
00:39:30.660
he's
00:39:31.120
backing
00:39:31.560
away
00:39:32.080
from
00:39:32.600
telling
00:39:33.560
the
00:39:33.760
truth
00:39:34.140
exactly
00:39:34.960
well
00:39:35.300
you
00:39:35.480
know
00:39:35.620
they
00:39:36.060
try
00:39:36.320
not
00:39:36.480
to
00:39:36.600
do
00:39:36.720
that
00:39:36.880
in
00:39:36.960
the
00:39:37.020
press
00:39:37.300
yeah
00:39:37.940
it's
00:39:39.040
again
00:39:39.920
I
00:39:40.440
go back
00:39:42.620
show
00:39:42.920
I
00:39:43.160
don't
00:39:43.240
know
00:39:43.380
week
00:39:43.620
ago
00:39:44.000
I
00:39:44.720
think
00:39:45.020
they've
00:39:45.220
got
00:39:45.360
another
00:39:45.680
what
00:39:46.040
8
00:39:46.380
10
00:39:46.720
days
00:39:47.180
here
00:39:47.520
to
00:39:48.140
go
00:39:48.440
all
00:39:48.920
in
00:39:49.340
to
00:39:49.920
try
00:39:50.200
to
00:39:50.340
get
00:39:50.460
him
00:39:50.580
out
00:39:50.800
and
00:39:50.960
after
00:39:51.220
that
00:39:51.520
they
00:39:51.740
may
00:39:51.940
be
00:39:52.060
stuck
00:39:52.360
with
00:39:52.500
this
00:39:52.660
guy
00:39:52.840
but
00:39:53.040
look
00:39:53.540
your
00:39:53.800
prediction
00:39:54.380
you've
00:39:54.800
been
00:39:54.960
right
00:39:55.300
for
00:39:55.620
quite
00:39:56.120
a
00:39:56.260
few
00:39:56.380
times
00:39:56.920
it
00:39:57.580
still
00:39:57.840
could
00:39:58.060
be
00:39:58.360
somebody
00:39:58.880
at
00:39:59.100
the
00:39:59.220
convention
00:39:59.660
and
00:40:00.260
that
00:40:00.480
somebody
00:40:00.900
could
00:40:01.160
still
00:40:01.400
be
00:40:01.580
Michelle
00:40:01.900
Obama
00:40:02.340
do
00:40:02.540
you
00:40:02.700
still
00:40:03.000
think
00:40:03.340
there's
00:40:03.580
a
00:40:03.700
decent
00:40:03.920
chance
00:40:04.300
of
00:40:04.420
that
00:40:04.660
I
00:40:05.200
stay
00:40:05.680
by
00:40:05.900
the
00:40:06.080
same
00:40:06.300
odds
00:40:06.600
I
00:40:06.780
had
00:40:07.080
on
00:40:07.300
Monday's
00:40:08.000
podcast
00:40:08.400
I
00:40:09.380
think
00:40:09.560
there
00:40:09.840
is
00:40:10.120
a
00:40:10.540
20%
00:40:11.580
chance
00:40:12.000
the
00:40:12.160
Democrat
00:40:12.500
nominee
00:40:12.880
is
00:40:13.140
Joe
00:40:13.380
Biden
00:40:13.740
I
00:40:14.400
think
00:40:14.560
there's
00:40:14.840
a
00:40:14.980
40%
00:40:15.560
chance
00:40:15.980
the
00:40:16.140
Democrat
00:40:16.520
nominee
00:40:16.920
is
00:40:17.160
Michelle
00:40:17.460
Obama
00:40:17.900
and
00:40:18.560
I
00:40:18.620
think
00:40:18.740
there's
00:40:18.900
a
00:40:19.020
40%
00:40:19.520
chance
00:40:19.900
the
00:40:20.100
Democratic
00:40:20.920
nominee
00:40:21.360
is
00:40:21.740
Kamala
00:40:22.080
Harris
00:40:22.440
there
00:40:23.120
you
00:40:23.240
have
00:40:23.440
it
00:40:23.580
we're
00:40:23.840
going
00:40:23.920
to
00:40:24.000
keep
00:40:24.200
you
00:40:24.320
updated
00:40:24.560
on
00:40:24.760
this
00:40:25.000
obviously
00:40:25.660
say
00:40:26.400
prayers
00:40:26.820
for
00:40:27.100
all
00:40:27.460
those
00:40:27.920
in
00:40:28.480
that
00:40:28.660
are
00:40:28.800
suffering
00:40:29.180
in
00:40:29.460
Texas
00:40:29.800
right
00:40:30.220
now
00:40:30.540
and
00:40:31.220
help
00:40:31.460
your
00:40:31.600
neighbors
00:40:31.880
out
00:40:32.140
if
00:40:32.380
you

can

the
00:40:33.320

00:40:33.500

00:40:33.660
will
00:40:33.800
be
00:40:33.960
back
00:40:34.400
with
00:40:34.760
you
