00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.580 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz.
00:00:08.340 Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:09.680 Senator, there is big news from Capitol Hill today that you get to break.
00:00:14.680 Well, that's exactly right.
00:00:16.000 First of all, the news that is consuming the globe, which is Joe Biden, continues in freefall.
00:00:21.180 It keeps getting worse and worse and worse.
00:00:23.440 There's the disastrous big boy press conference.
00:00:25.720 But beyond that, there is the cabinet now leaking on him that they haven't had a cabinet meeting in eight months,
00:00:33.000 that the cabinet meetings they did have were pre-scripted, where they're walking through Kabuki Theater.
00:00:38.420 There's also the leak coming out of the Biden campaign itself that they've begun polling Kamala Harris versus Donald Trump.
00:00:47.060 And we're going to talk about what it means that the internal team, the cabinet and the campaign, is turning on Joe Biden as this freefall continues.
00:00:55.280 We're going to get into that in depth.
00:00:56.900 But before we do it, we're going to cover a story that nobody else is covering because it is an important story,
00:01:02.480 which is yesterday on Capitol Hill, there was a big, big victory on Capitol Hill.
00:01:11.180 Y'all recall we had a prior podcast where we discussed this radical left-wing judge that Joe Biden nominated,
00:01:17.600 Sarah Netburn, a magistrate judge in New York, who is an extreme leftist.
00:01:23.220 She was handpicked by Chuck Schumer. 0.95
00:01:25.240 And among other things, she has this stunning decision where there was this six-foot-two guy who was a serial rapist, 0.99
00:01:34.400 a child rapist, who decided at age 52 that he was a woman. 0.96
00:01:39.040 And this judge ordered that he go to a woman's prison and be housed with women. 1.00
00:01:47.160 And she disregarded the rights of those women. 1.00
00:01:49.720 She disregarded common sense.
00:01:51.540 She disregarded sanity.
00:01:53.140 Well, I cross-examined her a number of weeks ago.
00:01:57.800 And Thursday morning, the Senate Judiciary Committee had the markup when we were voting on it.
00:02:02.580 And I spoke against the nomination, and we had a stunning victory.
00:02:09.360 We're going to get into that in just a moment.
00:02:11.460 Yeah, it's incredible.
00:02:12.980 This June marked two years since the overturn of Roe v. Wade.
00:02:16.960 But did you know that the number of abortions actually increased the following year?
00:02:21.160 In 2023, the amount of abortions reached its highest level since 2012,
00:02:25.820 with the abortion pill accounting for up to 63% of all abortions.
00:02:30.320 It's tragically no surprise.
00:02:31.620 Well, pre-born is continuing to stand strong for women in crisis and at-risk babies.
00:02:38.980 Pre-born is a ministry of compassion that showers women and babies with God's love,
00:02:44.680 providing free ultrasounds to mothers with unplanned pregnancies
00:02:49.180 to introduce them to the precious life that they are growing.
00:02:54.200 When a mother meets her baby on ultrasound and hears their heartbeat,
00:02:57.560 she is twice as likely to then choose life. 0.94
00:03:02.220 $28 sponsors one ultrasound.
00:03:05.940 And $140 helps to rescue five babies.
00:03:10.120 Your generous tax-deductible donation will also help to provide women who choose life
00:03:15.280 with assistance for up to two years.
00:03:17.580 So, please give.
00:03:19.900 Give your best gift.
00:03:21.120 To donate, it's easy.
00:03:22.660 Just dial pound 250, say the keyword baby.
00:03:26.420 That's pound 250, say the keyword baby.
00:03:29.400 Or visit preborn.com slash verdict.
00:03:34.020 That's preborn.com slash verdict, or dial pound 250 and say the keyword baby.
00:03:41.680 Senator, this was a story that you mentioned a moment ago,
00:03:45.780 but it is not going to be covered by the media.
00:03:48.540 And it's a very, very significant victory to stop this radical judge.
00:03:54.600 How did you get any Democrat to come along and to look at this woman's record 1.00
00:04:01.000 and realize this is not someone we should have on the court?
00:04:04.400 Well, I'm going to explain this, but I got to tell you, the victory was a surprise.
00:04:08.440 The Democrats were not expecting it.
00:04:10.140 The chairman of the committee, Dick Durbin, was not expecting for the good guys,
00:04:15.640 for common sense, for reality to prevail.
00:04:18.100 They were assuming they'd get a straight party line vote.
00:04:20.900 That's not what happened.
00:04:21.800 But before I walk through what happened, I want you to hear my remarks at the markup.
00:04:28.400 And this is a little bit lengthy, but this is what I said at the markup,
00:04:33.800 and then I'm going to tell you the results and how it produced a stunning victory.
00:04:41.520 Have a listen.
00:04:43.260 Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
00:04:45.000 I have deep concerns about Judge Sarah Netburn's nomination,
00:04:48.300 and specifically about her radical rulings that endanger women by placing biological men in women's prisons.
00:04:55.960 And given the avalanche of letters this committee has received from women's groups and female inmates,
00:05:03.020 I'm not the only person with concerns.
00:05:04.640 In the case of J.J.S. v. W.S. Plyler, the prisoner, dubbed July Justine Shelby,
00:05:14.120 his real name is William McClain, was a serial rapist. 0.98
00:05:18.440 There's no other way to say it. 0.83
00:05:20.580 He was also a six-foot-two, fully intact biological man.
00:05:24.240 His past criminal offenses included child molestation of a nine-year-old boy,
00:05:32.040 rape of a 17-year-old girl,
00:05:35.320 and criminal deviant conduct.
00:05:37.640 No factual details are in the record, but the state defined the offense as, quote,
00:05:42.700 compelling with force or the threat of force, sexual conduct.
00:05:46.740 As a result of these offenses, Shelby was incarcerated for 18 years.
00:05:52.980 One year after being released on parole,
00:05:56.820 Shelby broke parole by circulating violent child pornography.
00:06:03.280 And so back in prison.
00:06:05.380 And at 51 years of age, Shelby decided that he was a woman.
00:06:09.380 And as a self-declared woman, he demanded to be jailed with biological woman. 0.52
00:06:14.400 And failing to lock him up with other women, he argued, was a violation of the Eighth Amendment.
00:06:20.360 Now, luckily for Shelby, his lawsuit ended up in front of Judge Netburn.
00:06:24.080 Putting political ideology over justice and reality,
00:06:28.040 Magistrate Judge Netburn recommended that Shelby, quote,
00:06:31.860 be transferred immediately to a woman's facility. 1.00
00:06:35.580 Despite a lifelong pattern of rape, sexual assault, and obvious sexually predatory instincts,
00:06:42.160 Magistrate Judge Netburn's opinion declared that, quote,
00:06:47.520 there are no signs that Petitioner is at risk of reoffending.
00:06:53.380 That defies words.
00:06:55.140 Magistrate Judge Netburn doubled down on her commitment to a radical political ideology in her opinion.
00:07:01.640 Casting aside any concerns for the female prisoners,
00:07:05.480 Judge Netburn wrote,
00:07:06.740 Quote, the BOP also posits that permitting Petitioner to live among women
00:07:11.460 will be traumatizing and possibly dangerous to them.
00:07:16.200 This concern is overblown.
00:07:19.040 Those are her words.
00:07:21.040 Netburn's opinion went on, quote,
00:07:22.780 The BOP's repeated refusal to transfer Petitioner to a woman's facility
00:07:26.900 to further her gender transition, 1.00
00:07:29.360 despite knowing the condition of Petitioner's physical and mental health,
00:07:33.220 violates the Petitioner's Eighth Amendment rights.
00:07:35.920 This judge's ruling the Constitution requires that biological men who wake up one day and say,
00:07:42.060 I'm a woman, have to be housed with female prisoners. 1.00
00:07:45.380 This judge also ruled, in effect, that female prisoners have no rights. 0.99
00:07:50.460 The Democrats on this committee like to say they support the rights of women.
00:07:55.500 But we're about to find out whether they do or not. 0.97
00:07:57.960 Because in this case, you're taking a six-foot-two man who is a serial rapist,
00:08:04.420 and this judge sent that man to Fort Worth, Texas.
00:08:09.560 I ask that judge, do the women in that prison have any right, 1.00
00:08:13.560 if it was your mother, if it was your daughter, if it was your wife, 0.98
00:08:17.100 how would you feel if your daughter was housed with a six-foot-two man who's a serial rapist? 0.99
00:08:23.180 Because political ideology matters more than sanity. 0.57
00:08:27.740 And by the way, the threat that this ideologue said is overblown is happening all over the country.
00:08:36.160 For example, in Judge Netburn's home state of New York in 2024,
00:08:40.340 a former prisoner at Rikers Island claimed that she was groped and raped
00:08:44.440 by a male inmate posing as a transgender woman.
00:08:48.720 There had also been a prior rape attempt at Rikers in 2021
00:08:52.800 by another transgender inmate against a biological female inmate.
00:08:57.680 In New Jersey, in 2022, a transgender inmate impregnated not one but two female inmates.
00:09:07.260 In California, a woman's group sued the Department of Corrections 0.93
00:09:11.540 after a transgender prisoner raped two women, impregnating one of them. 0.94
00:09:17.440 And in the chairman's home state of Illinois, 0.98
00:09:19.900 a female inmate sued the Department of Corrections 0.75
00:09:22.500 after she was raped by a transgender inmate. 0.56
00:09:25.760 This is happening over and over and over again, 0.96
00:09:28.480 and it's because of ideology being put ahead of common sense.
00:09:33.080 At her hearing, I asked Judge Netburn,
00:09:34.940 Do you regret your decision transferring a serial rapist,
00:09:39.220 a biological man, to a woman's prison? 0.79
00:09:41.940 Her answer was, quote,
00:09:43.680 No.
00:09:44.820 I faithfully applied the law to the facts.
00:09:47.300 That is not the law, and these are not the facts.
00:09:50.280 As I mentioned at the outset,
00:09:51.500 this committee has received letters from female prisoners
00:09:53.860 horrified at the prospect of being housed with a biological male,
00:09:58.620 fearing quite reasonably for their safety.
00:10:01.160 Interestingly, the chairman has not read to you
00:10:04.700 the letters those female inmates have sent to this committee
00:10:08.380 pleading on this committee to use some common sense.
00:10:12.940 I'm going to read a couple for you.
00:10:14.100 Alyssa Kay, a current inmate,
00:10:16.980 here's what she wrote to us, quote,
00:10:19.020 People are already getting raped, and nobody cares. 0.98
00:10:23.620 Honestly, someone in here is going to end up getting killed. 0.89
00:10:26.740 Having men here in prison with us disrupts any sense of rehabilitation,
00:10:31.160 we fear for our safety,
00:10:33.540 we have further loss of privacy as we are forced to share intimate spaces with a man.
00:10:40.420 We watch as some prisons are victims of abuse,
00:10:45.160 and others willingly engage in sexual acts in our shared space.
00:10:49.420 This isn't right.
00:10:51.480 This isn't fair.
00:10:53.140 Do any of our Democratic members care about Alyssa Kay's concerns?
00:10:56.980 How about Amy I, a former inmate?
00:10:59.160 Here's what she wrote to us to say, quote,
00:11:00.960 I urge the committee to watch my story
00:11:03.540 and the story of other female prisoners
00:11:05.940 and a brave, resigned lieutenant
00:11:08.180 who spoke out against this anti-woman policy.
00:11:13.180 Women, including incarcerated women, 0.92
00:11:15.300 just because a woman is in a prison doesn't mean she loses her rights. 1.00
00:11:18.440 That's me talking, not the letter.
00:11:19.760 I'll get back to the letter.
00:11:21.080 Women, including incarcerated women, 0.92
00:11:22.900 shouldn't be erased as a matter of law
00:11:26.100 to accommodate the interests of men.
00:11:30.000 One person's rights cannot come at the cost of another's.
00:11:33.600 Here's another letter.
00:11:34.700 Evelyn V., a former inmate, she wrote to us and said, quote,
00:11:37.640 As a former inmate in the California state prison system,
00:11:41.620 I share your concern about how women's rights are being pushed aside
00:11:45.340 compared to the interests of men who are self-identifying at women
00:11:49.060 and gaining entry to facilities meant for women. 0.83
00:11:52.720 Now, at the hearing, Judge Netburn told us again she thinks concerns
00:11:56.860 of the risk of Shelby engaging in sexual re-offense are, quote,
00:12:01.640 overblown.
00:12:03.380 I strongly disagree, and as it happens, we now have facts.
00:12:08.520 Just yesterday, yesterday,
00:12:12.160 exquisite timing, by the way, on this markup,
00:12:14.640 yesterday, the Washington Free Beacon reported that Shelby,
00:12:18.960 who is housed at FMC Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas,
00:12:23.360 was placed in administrative segregation for exposing himself to female prisoners,
00:12:28.680 apparently joking that he was fully intact.
00:12:33.280 Congratulations, Judge Netburn.
00:12:34.820 That's what you're doing to the women in this prison. 1.00
00:12:37.640 You're subjecting them to victimization and assault.
00:12:41.840 If a guy on the subway did this, 0.98
00:12:44.180 whipping out his genitalia to you on the subway, 0.99
00:12:47.120 you'd deck the guy and arrest him for indecent exposure. 0.99
00:12:50.300 But this radical says he's got a constitutional right to be there and do this.
00:12:56.420 I have to say this is an issue everyone on this committee knows this isn't right.
00:13:02.960 Every one of us.
00:13:04.600 Every one of us would be horrified if a loved one 0.99
00:13:07.540 found out she was the cellmate of a six-foot-two man who was a serial rapist. 0.72
00:13:12.720 But in today's topsy-turvy political world,
00:13:17.340 the way you get nominated to be a judge is you demonstrate you're a radical.
00:13:21.560 I know people must be saying,
00:13:23.660 well, gosh, New York has 20 million people.
00:13:26.960 They couldn't find one person qualified to be a judge to give a lifetime appointment to?
00:13:31.720 And that's the point.
00:13:32.760 What they're looking for is show us you're a radical.
00:13:37.040 This is an opportunity for every senator to demonstrate
00:13:41.080 whether you'll stand up for the rights of women or not.
00:13:44.040 I sadly expect a party-line vote on this,
00:13:46.560 but I will say this.
00:13:47.440 If we have a party-line vote, Mr. Chairman, I'm going to make a request.
00:13:50.560 I'm going to request, Mr. Chairman,
00:13:52.060 that you ask Majority Leader Schumer
00:13:54.220 to expedite a floor vote on this judge on the floor.
00:13:57.680 I want to see Senator Tester vote
00:13:59.440 on whether a six-foot-two man should go to a woman's prison.
00:14:02.000 I want to see Senator Brown.
00:14:03.080 I want to see every Democrat go on record.
00:14:05.040 Do you give a damn about the women in your state or not? 0.93
00:14:09.140 It's a simple choice,
00:14:10.700 and it's a choice that will be defined by the word yes or the word no.
00:14:14.420 Senator, you gave that speech
00:14:16.920 hoping that there would be people that would obviously hear it
00:14:20.480 and would then say,
00:14:22.980 okay, maybe he's right.
00:14:25.400 That's apparently what happened.
00:14:28.260 It is, and it was remarkable.
00:14:30.400 Look, I assumed what would happen
00:14:32.420 is what has happened over and over and over again in the Senate.
00:14:34.860 Judiciary Committee,
00:14:35.740 that everyone would just rubber stamp the nomination,
00:14:38.680 vote it out,
00:14:39.680 and that really I was speaking to the American people
00:14:42.280 and ultimately to all 100 senators
00:14:45.060 trying to defeat this judge on the floor of the Senate.
00:14:47.360 But after I spoke,
00:14:49.460 Mike Lee spoke,
00:14:50.740 and Lindsey Graham spoke,
00:14:51.900 they both were very effective
00:14:53.060 laying out this judge's record
00:14:54.660 like I did,
00:14:56.060 and then they began the roll call vote.
00:14:58.660 And the way the roll call vote works
00:15:00.260 is the clerk of the committee
00:15:01.680 begins reading out
00:15:02.700 each of the senators,
00:15:04.100 and it starts with the senior senator
00:15:06.580 in the majority who's not the chairman,
00:15:08.160 and it goes down in seniority.
00:15:09.800 So the clerk goes,
00:15:11.420 Senator Whitehouse.
00:15:12.820 Senator Whitehouse is Sheldon Whitehouse,
00:15:14.480 Democrat from Rhode Island.
00:15:15.560 Senator Whitehouse,
00:15:16.900 aye.
00:15:17.560 Next,
00:15:18.100 Senator Klobuchar,
00:15:19.340 Amy Klobuchar,
00:15:20.260 Democrat from Minnesota.
00:15:22.000 Senator Klobuchar,
00:15:23.680 aye.
00:15:24.420 Next,
00:15:25.300 Chris Coons,
00:15:26.060 Democrat from Delaware.
00:15:27.700 Senator Coons,
00:15:29.060 aye.
00:15:29.960 Next,
00:15:30.820 Richard Blumenthal,
00:15:31.800 Democrat from Connecticut.
00:15:33.220 Senator Blumenthal,
00:15:34.680 aye.
00:15:35.640 Next,
00:15:36.280 Maisie Hirono,
00:15:37.200 Democrat from Hawaii.
00:15:38.640 Senator Hirono,
00:15:39.840 aye.
00:15:40.680 Next is Cory Booker,
00:15:41.880 Democrat from New Jersey.
00:15:43.340 Senator Booker,
00:15:44.460 aye.
00:15:45.240 Next is Alex Padilla,
00:15:46.540 Democrat from California.
00:15:48.180 Senator Padilla,
00:15:49.560 aye.
00:15:50.320 Next is John Ossoff,
00:15:51.760 Democrat from Georgia.
00:15:53.740 Senator Ossoff,
00:15:55.000 no.
00:15:56.920 Wow.
00:15:57.800 You could have heard a pin drop
00:15:59.960 when he said that.
00:16:01.600 The last two members of the Democrats
00:16:03.500 going down the dais
00:16:04.440 were Peter Welch,
00:16:05.320 Democrat from Virginia.
00:16:06.320 He votes aye.
00:16:07.520 And Lafonza Butler,
00:16:08.740 Democrat from California.
00:16:09.940 She votes aye.
00:16:10.680 And then Dick Durbin,
00:16:11.540 the chairman at the end,
00:16:12.520 votes aye.
00:16:13.720 But John Ossoff,
00:16:15.240 Democrat from Georgia,
00:16:17.280 voted no,
00:16:18.080 and all the Republicans
00:16:19.000 voted no.
00:16:20.300 And as a result,
00:16:21.440 this judge was defeated
00:16:22.860 11 to 10.
00:16:23.780 Now,
00:16:23.980 I'll tell you,
00:16:24.660 I am convinced
00:16:25.920 that Dick Durbin,
00:16:26.720 the chairman,
00:16:27.180 had no idea
00:16:28.020 Ossoff was going to vote no.
00:16:29.800 And I think he was
00:16:30.600 genuinely shocked.
00:16:31.940 When Ossoff said no,
00:16:33.540 they thought they were going
00:16:34.280 to have a party line vote
00:16:35.260 and move her on. 1.00
00:16:36.420 And I think Ossoff
00:16:38.140 thought about it
00:16:39.520 and said,
00:16:39.980 okay,
00:16:40.200 I got to run for re-election
00:16:41.380 in the state of Georgia.
00:16:43.120 And if I vote for a judge
00:16:44.520 that sends a six-foot-two 0.99
00:16:45.980 serial rapist 0.88
00:16:46.860 to a woman's prison, 1.00
00:16:50.740 I ain't get re-elected.
00:16:52.980 Do you guys talk
00:16:54.160 before these votes
00:16:55.160 like with Democrat members?
00:16:57.500 So you were expecting
00:16:58.520 this to be a,
00:16:59.280 they would move it on
00:17:00.420 as well, right?
00:17:01.080 You were as shocked
00:17:01.820 as probably Durbin.
00:17:03.620 100% of the times
00:17:05.100 we've done this,
00:17:06.480 they vote party line.
00:17:08.340 Look,
00:17:08.620 the Democrats put
00:17:10.120 the most partisan Democrats
00:17:11.620 on the Judiciary Committee.
00:17:14.780 You know,
00:17:15.220 different committees
00:17:15.840 have different ethoses.
00:17:18.720 Judiciary Committee
00:17:19.560 is like the Roman Coliseum.
00:17:21.300 You strap on your armor
00:17:23.080 and you get battle axes
00:17:24.140 and you go fight the barbarians.
00:17:26.080 The Commerce Committee,
00:17:27.360 which I'm the ranking member on,
00:17:28.600 is totally different.
00:17:29.920 Commerce Committee,
00:17:30.880 it's kumbaya.
00:17:31.860 You go arm in arm,
00:17:32.980 you work together,
00:17:33.840 you cooperate.
00:17:34.940 And what's interesting
00:17:35.600 is many of the same people
00:17:36.640 are on both committees,
00:17:37.480 but it's just like
00:17:38.380 the committees
00:17:39.600 operate differently.
00:17:40.680 They take up different topics.
00:17:42.120 And so,
00:17:42.660 my entire remarks
00:17:44.720 at the markup,
00:17:45.580 I assumed,
00:17:46.540 none of these Democrats,
00:17:48.100 it doesn't matter what I say,
00:17:49.340 they're not going to listen to me,
00:17:50.460 they're going to vote yes.
00:17:51.700 But really,
00:17:52.360 what I was aiming,
00:17:52.960 look,
00:17:53.120 it's why I asked Durbin,
00:17:54.700 when you guys party line
00:17:56.080 vote this out,
00:17:57.420 we ought to have a vote
00:17:58.300 on the floor,
00:17:58.800 because we would have defeated
00:17:59.940 this judge on the floor.
00:18:02.000 Joe Manchin
00:18:02.520 was not going to vote
00:18:03.240 for this judge.
00:18:03.960 I think we might well
00:18:05.100 have gotten
00:18:05.640 Kyrsten Sinema.
00:18:07.300 And as I mentioned,
00:18:08.280 for Tester and Brown,
00:18:10.080 a couple of weeks,
00:18:10.780 a couple of months
00:18:11.300 before an election
00:18:12.100 to vote for a judge
00:18:13.320 who did this,
00:18:14.600 that could cost them
00:18:15.860 their elections.
00:18:16.620 And so I was like,
00:18:17.240 all right,
00:18:17.560 if you want to move
00:18:18.440 this radical,
00:18:19.160 let's get a vote right now
00:18:20.380 and let's let the voters 0.68
00:18:21.260 have a say in this.
00:18:23.600 I was very confident
00:18:25.000 we would defeat her
00:18:25.740 on the floor.
00:18:26.360 I got to say,
00:18:26.900 I was stunned
00:18:27.760 when Ossoff voted no.
00:18:30.860 And I think the Democrats
00:18:31.640 were too.
00:18:32.340 It has never happened
00:18:34.580 since I've been
00:18:37.740 on judiciary.
00:18:38.900 Republicans have done that.
00:18:40.060 Republicans did that
00:18:40.800 to Trump a couple of times.
00:18:41.820 There were judges
00:18:42.300 that we decided,
00:18:43.100 no,
00:18:43.280 that's not going to fly.
00:18:44.480 But the Democrats
00:18:45.440 have never done that.
00:18:46.980 And that is a victory,
00:18:49.540 a big,
00:18:50.600 big victory.
00:18:51.600 And I think it shows
00:18:52.540 just how extreme
00:18:54.940 and out of the mainstream
00:18:56.280 this White House
00:18:57.560 and Democrats
00:18:58.580 in the Senate are
00:18:59.540 that every Democrat
00:19:00.980 but one
00:19:01.760 was prepared
00:19:02.320 to move forward.
00:19:02.980 By the way,
00:19:04.940 none of the Democrats
00:19:05.940 argued with what I said.
00:19:07.320 None of them,
00:19:07.940 none of them engaged
00:19:10.060 and had an argument
00:19:10.760 on the other side
00:19:11.540 other than Durbin said,
00:19:12.860 well,
00:19:13.840 she was a magistrate judge,
00:19:15.320 so technically
00:19:16.080 she didn't order 1.00
00:19:17.140 the guy to a women's prison.
00:19:18.480 She just recommended
00:19:19.980 that he go to a women's prison 1.00
00:19:21.240 against the strenuous
00:19:22.360 opposition of the Bureau
00:19:23.340 of Prisons,
00:19:23.940 by the way,
00:19:25.100 who said that there was
00:19:26.620 a big risk of sexual assault.
00:19:28.020 But other than that,
00:19:30.560 the other Democrats
00:19:31.300 all just sat there silently.
00:19:32.960 But you know what
00:19:33.400 they're counting on?
00:19:34.660 I want everyone
00:19:35.600 listening to this podcast
00:19:36.580 to ask yourself,
00:19:37.660 did you hear about this judge
00:19:39.680 on the 6 o'clock news?
00:19:41.240 Nowhere.
00:19:41.880 It was,
00:19:42.460 this is a dead story.
00:19:44.560 Did you read about it
00:19:45.380 in the New York Times?
00:19:46.240 This is a New York judge.
00:19:48.860 Chuck Schumer
00:19:49.580 picked this judge.
00:19:51.380 This is a judge
00:19:52.260 who was nominated
00:19:53.040 to be a New York
00:19:53.920 federal judge.
00:19:54.780 She was just defeated
00:19:55.940 in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
00:19:57.340 Is it on the front page
00:19:58.160 of the New York Times today?
00:20:00.120 You know,
00:20:00.380 you and I are recording it
00:20:01.340 on Thursday,
00:20:02.140 but I'm going to wager
00:20:04.620 a gazillion dollars.
00:20:05.740 I don't have a gazillion dollars,
00:20:06.800 but it doesn't matter
00:20:07.540 because I'm not going
00:20:08.160 to lose the wager.
00:20:09.140 It's not going to be
00:20:09.860 on the front page
00:20:10.420 of the New York Times.
00:20:11.840 Let me ask you
00:20:12.540 one other question.
00:20:12.820 The media doesn't want you
00:20:13.460 to know about it
00:20:14.320 because,
00:20:16.780 and by the way,
00:20:17.900 I was waiting
00:20:19.000 for one of the Democrats
00:20:21.240 to self-righteously say,
00:20:23.200 trans women are women. 0.90
00:20:24.520 What do you mean?
00:20:24.940 Why are you calling him a man?
00:20:27.060 And recall,
00:20:28.260 when this judge
00:20:28.920 was being at her hearing
00:20:30.420 and I cross-examined her,
00:20:31.760 she said during the hearing,
00:20:33.520 well,
00:20:33.800 she was entirely female.
00:20:37.160 And I said,
00:20:38.000 Judge,
00:20:38.520 really?
00:20:40.920 Does this person 0.95
00:20:41.940 have male genitalia? 1.00
00:20:44.140 Well, 0.98
00:20:44.660 yes.
00:20:46.120 Well,
00:20:46.720 then,
00:20:47.860 he's not entirely
00:20:49.140 female.
00:20:51.040 Yeah.
00:20:51.260 And the irony,
00:20:53.380 literally,
00:20:54.080 the day before
00:20:55.320 the markup,
00:20:56.920 the story breaks
00:20:58.200 that this guy 1.00
00:21:01.100 pulled his genitalia out 0.99
00:21:03.280 and was waving it 0.99
00:21:04.440 in front of the other women
00:21:05.540 and harassing them
00:21:07.280 and was put in
00:21:08.960 administrative segregation
00:21:10.160 for doing so.
00:21:11.640 No surprise.
00:21:12.580 By the way,
00:21:12.940 let me ask you something.
00:21:14.440 If you're a dude
00:21:15.760 and you get convicted
00:21:17.560 of a violent crime
00:21:18.640 and you have a choice,
00:21:20.880 do you go to a men's prison
00:21:22.180 or a women's prison? 1.00
00:21:24.420 What moron would choose 1.00
00:21:25.960 to go to a men's prison? 1.00
00:21:27.620 Yeah.
00:21:29.100 Just on the issue
00:21:29.960 of safety to yourself,
00:21:31.160 right?
00:21:31.480 You fake it and say,
00:21:32.380 hey,
00:21:32.580 I identify as a woman
00:21:33.780 because you know
00:21:34.920 the chances of you
00:21:35.760 being assaulted
00:21:36.440 go significantly down.
00:21:38.020 Sure.
00:21:39.340 And look,
00:21:40.480 the letters I read,
00:21:42.340 those letters were powerful
00:21:43.620 and you know what?
00:21:44.500 None of the Democrats
00:21:45.400 on the committee 1.00
00:21:45.860 even read the damn letters. 1.00
00:21:47.660 None of them cared. 1.00
00:21:48.480 I entered him
00:21:48.960 into the record.
00:21:49.440 I asked later,
00:21:50.200 I didn't play this,
00:21:51.220 but I asked,
00:21:51.920 did any of you
00:21:52.960 read the letter?
00:21:53.660 Nobody responded.
00:21:55.060 They literally don't care.
00:21:56.560 They voted a confirmer anyway.
00:21:58.920 And it's an example
00:22:00.800 of how the left
00:22:01.540 is utterly out of touch.
00:22:03.180 They do not care
00:22:04.500 about the people
00:22:05.840 they're hurting,
00:22:06.480 whether it's the people
00:22:07.280 who are dying
00:22:08.040 from illegal immigrants 0.94
00:22:09.140 that their open borders
00:22:10.480 are letting into this country 1.00
00:22:11.580 or whether it's about
00:22:12.440 the women who are being raped
00:22:13.880 because the policies 0.98
00:22:15.560 they support 0.95
00:22:16.340 are putting male sexual predators 0.98
00:22:18.400 in female prisons. 1.00
00:22:19.380 And this is happening
00:22:20.160 over and over and over again
00:22:21.840 and not a one of them,
00:22:23.380 they don't mention it,
00:22:24.500 they don't,
00:22:25.040 they'll just repeat
00:22:26.040 their ideology.
00:22:27.020 Trans women are women 0.54
00:22:27.940 except for the fact 0.99
00:22:28.760 that they have genitalia 1.00
00:22:30.380 that can rape a woman 1.00
00:22:31.140 and they keep doing so 1.00
00:22:32.220 in prison over and over again.
00:22:33.460 Setting that minor
00:22:34.500 and convenient detail aside,
00:22:37.020 other than that,
00:22:37.760 my ideology says,
00:22:38.960 go ahead.
00:22:40.220 I want to tell you
00:22:41.020 about my friends
00:22:41.600 at Blackout Coffee.
00:22:42.880 If you're like me
00:22:43.500 and you start your morning early,
00:22:44.740 then you probably
00:22:46.060 don't want
00:22:46.800 just an average
00:22:47.560 cup of coffee.
00:22:48.540 And if you're like me
00:22:50.140 and you're sick 0.83
00:22:50.740 and tired of giving
00:22:51.340 your money to companies
00:22:52.080 that hate your values,
00:22:53.480 then you probably know
00:22:55.060 there's a whole lot
00:22:55.960 of woke coffee companies
00:22:58.240 out there.
00:22:58.880 There's some big ones.
00:23:00.400 Well, that is why
00:23:01.320 I switched to Blackout Coffee
00:23:03.080 because not only
00:23:03.860 am I getting now

00:23:07.380 but I'm actually
00:23:08.100 supporting a business
00:23:08.980 that has said
00:23:09.820 we are not woke.
00:23:11.460 We're hardcore conservatives
00:23:12.960 and we are proud
00:23:14.660 to stand for
00:23:15.580 American values.

00:23:19.160 to conservative values,

00:23:20.640 from the sourcing
00:23:21.300 of the beans
00:23:21.820 to the roasting process,
00:23:23.360 customer support,
00:23:24.260 and shipping.
00:23:25.320 They embody
00:23:26.160 true American values
00:23:27.820 and they accept
00:23:28.520 no compromise
00:23:30.000 on taste or quality.
00:23:31.860 I do a show
00:23:32.500 every morning
00:23:32.920 at 7 o'clock.
00:23:33.760 I gotta be awake
00:23:34.580 and I want a great
00:23:35.680 cup of coffee
00:23:36.460 to wake me up.
00:23:37.760 And that is why
00:23:38.880 I want you to try

00:24:19.540 Senator, I want to move
00:24:20.280 to the other big news
00:24:21.700 that we mentioned
00:24:22.540 earlier.
00:24:23.940 And I, I, I,
00:24:25.740 both of these stories
00:24:27.200 are massive.
00:24:29.040 Number one,
00:24:30.100 we're hearing that
00:24:30.740 Joe Biden's campaign
00:24:32.360 commissioned a Trump
00:24:35.000 versus Harris poll.
00:24:36.800 There's two thoughts
00:24:38.800 you could, you could
00:24:39.620 go with here.
00:24:40.320 One, it's an accident
00:24:41.520 that it leaked or two,
00:24:42.420 they did on purpose
00:24:43.360 to leak it.
00:24:44.580 And they're undermining
00:24:45.520 their main candidate,
00:24:46.620 Joe Biden,
00:24:47.180 trying to force him out.
00:24:48.480 Let me start by getting
00:24:49.680 your reaction to that.
00:24:52.280 Well, look,
00:24:53.040 I think we are seeing
00:24:54.460 Joe Biden in free fall.
00:24:56.200 We're seeing Democrats
00:24:57.280 turn on him every day.
00:24:58.720 We're seeing additional
00:24:59.880 Democrat House
00:25:00.840 members turn on him.
00:25:02.400 We saw this week
00:25:03.480 Democrat Senator Peter Welch
00:25:05.120 come out and say
00:25:05.900 Biden shouldn't run.
00:25:07.560 We know that Democrat
00:25:08.640 Senator Mark Warner
00:25:09.620 was trying to get
00:25:10.360 other Democrats
00:25:10.940 to do the same.
00:25:12.220 We've seen NBC
00:25:13.000 turn on him. 0.54
00:25:13.720 We've seen CNN
00:25:14.400 turn on him. 0.54
00:25:15.100 We've seen the New York
00:25:15.800 Times turn on him.
00:25:16.700 We've seen George Clooney
00:25:17.620 turn on him. 0.54
00:25:18.720 And it's every day.
00:25:19.700 You look at the campaign.
00:25:21.660 So, so NBC News
00:25:23.820 reported, quote,
00:25:25.920 no one involved
00:25:27.200 in the effort
00:25:27.940 thinks he has a past.
00:25:30.220 That is a quote
00:25:31.140 from Biden campaign
00:25:32.900 insiders who say
00:25:34.180 the writing is on the wall.
00:25:36.600 And here's another quote.
00:25:37.960 Quote,
00:25:38.740 the Biden campaign
00:25:39.680 has started to quietly
00:25:40.780 assess the viability
00:25:41.960 of Harris's candidacy
00:25:43.220 against Trump
00:25:44.540 in a new head-to-head poll,
00:25:46.720 a source familiar
00:25:47.700 with the decision
00:25:48.480 told NBC News.
00:25:49.680 Now, that means
00:25:50.220 the campaign
00:25:50.920 is leaking this story.
00:25:53.320 Hey, we better
00:25:54.420 check out Kamala. 0.95
00:25:55.600 Uh-oh, our guy's in trouble.
00:25:57.100 Let's go do the polling.
00:25:58.620 His own campaign team
00:26:01.220 is leaking again
00:26:02.260 with him.
00:26:02.880 Let's go back
00:26:03.500 to that quote
00:26:04.040 from his campaign team.
00:26:06.060 No one involved
00:26:07.420 in the effort
00:26:08.160 thinks he has a path.
00:26:10.560 That ain't good.
00:26:12.820 Yeah, it's not good.
00:26:14.700 And if they're doing this
00:26:15.960 to undermine
00:26:16.640 his candidacy,
00:26:18.180 I think it also
00:26:19.100 goes back
00:26:20.060 to the point
00:26:20.580 that we've kind of
00:26:21.460 started to witness,
00:26:22.360 which is
00:26:22.800 whether you're
00:26:24.100 a cabinet member
00:26:25.140 or you're on the campaign,
00:26:26.600 you're fighting now
00:26:28.240 for your own survival
00:26:29.400 and the power
00:26:30.300 and the access to power
00:26:31.440 you don't want to lose.
00:26:32.420 So if you think
00:26:33.100 you're going to lose
00:26:33.780 with Joe Biden,
00:26:34.800 then why not
00:26:36.000 throw a poll out there
00:26:37.340 for Kamala
00:26:38.020 and see if that
00:26:38.680 gives you a better result,
00:26:39.960 which means
00:26:40.440 you get to keep
00:26:41.340 your job
00:26:41.820 in an administration.
00:26:43.380 Yeah, look,
00:26:43.700 this is all about power.
00:26:46.620 And, you know,
00:26:47.560 we mentioned also
00:26:48.400 there was the bombshell
00:26:49.360 story this week
00:26:50.300 that, again,
00:26:50.740 is not getting
00:26:51.160 a ton of coverage.
00:26:52.140 But there has not been
00:26:54.000 a single cabinet meeting
00:26:55.880 in eight months.
00:26:58.660 That is bizarre
00:27:00.040 that there hasn't been
00:27:00.840 a cabinet meeting.
00:27:01.520 The cabinet doesn't meet.
00:27:03.480 And the last full cabinet meeting
00:27:05.580 took place
00:27:06.200 on October 2nd, 2023.
00:27:10.160 And not only that,
00:27:12.600 so there's a story
00:27:14.460 from CNN.
00:27:16.560 Quote,
00:27:17.140 back in Washington,
00:27:18.460 there have been clear signs
00:27:19.380 throughout his term
00:27:20.140 of Biden being increasingly
00:27:21.480 stage-managed
00:27:22.360 with lists of talking points,
00:27:24.420 names of questioners,
00:27:25.400 and drawings
00:27:25.940 of where he should walk
00:27:26.880 presented to him by aides.
00:27:28.720 Ahead of closed-door
00:27:30.080 cabinet meetings
00:27:30.880 that Biden attends,
00:27:32.780 it is customary
00:27:33.760 for cabinet officials
00:27:34.700 to submit questions
00:27:36.000 and key talking points
00:27:37.820 that they plan to present
00:27:39.380 in front of Biden
00:27:40.240 ahead of time
00:27:41.480 to White House aides.
00:27:42.760 Two sources
00:27:43.480 with direct knowledge
00:27:45.380 told CNN.
00:27:46.980 Quote,
00:27:47.460 the entire display
00:27:48.920 is kind of an act.
00:27:49.860 One of those sources
00:27:50.740 told CNN.
00:27:52.060 They would come and say,
00:27:54.260 hey,
00:27:54.700 the president is going
00:27:55.680 to call on you
00:27:56.360 in about 25 minutes
00:27:57.520 and ask this question.
00:27:59.020 What are the bullet points
00:28:00.220 you'll respond with?
00:28:01.900 The second source,
00:28:03.100 who echoed
00:28:03.980 the same description,
00:28:05.580 said that when Biden
00:28:06.640 attends cabinet meetings,
00:28:07.980 they are, quote,
00:28:09.040 not freewheeling
00:28:10.340 and pretty well orchestrated.
00:28:12.120 And the meetings
00:28:13.020 themselves are infrequent,
00:28:14.560 with one cabinet secretary
00:28:15.720 telling CNN,
00:28:16.620 they are uncertain
00:28:18.700 of Biden's condition
00:28:20.420 because they so
00:28:22.280 rarely see him.
00:28:23.780 Wow.
00:28:25.220 Canadian women
00:28:26.080 are looking for more,
00:28:27.400 more out of themselves,
00:28:28.480 their businesses,
00:28:29.420 their elected leaders,
00:28:30.380 and the world around them.
00:28:31.600 And that's why
00:28:32.060 we're thrilled
00:28:32.560 to introduce
00:28:33.220 the Honest Talk podcast.
00:28:34.900 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:28:36.520 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:28:37.820 And in this podcast,
00:28:38.900 we interview Canada's
00:28:39.860 most inspiring women,
00:28:41.360 entrepreneurs,
00:28:42.180 artists,
00:28:42.840 athletes,
00:28:43.460 politicians,
00:28:44.120 and newsmakers,
00:28:45.040 all at different stages
00:28:46.100 of their journey.
00:28:47.240 So if you're looking
00:28:48.260 to connect,
00:28:49.060 then we hope you'll join us.
00:28:50.480 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast
00:28:51.840 on iHeartRadio
00:28:52.840 or wherever you listen
00:28:53.820 to your podcasts.
00:28:56.540 There now is a real question
00:28:59.080 about the 25th Amendment
00:29:00.840 being a possibility.
00:29:03.320 Remember,
00:29:04.100 this was something
00:29:04.960 that Democrats
00:29:05.680 were obsessed with
00:29:07.360 with Donald Trump.
00:29:09.500 I want to just remind people
00:29:11.080 back in 2017,
00:29:15.080 this is what Democrats
00:29:16.480 were saying on TV.
00:29:18.220 This is scary.
00:29:19.560 Hashtag 25th Amendment.
00:29:21.600 The president
00:29:22.200 is not equipped
00:29:24.320 to do the job.
00:29:25.380 So now they're saying
00:29:26.280 he's mentally incapacitated.
00:29:29.180 And more than two dozen
00:29:30.200 Democratic lawmakers
00:29:31.240 are backing a bill
00:29:32.240 that says he should
00:29:33.040 leave office.
00:29:34.280 Should he be removed
00:29:35.120 from office? 0.98
00:29:35.900 His brain is simply
00:29:36.980 incapable of processing
00:29:38.200 the information.
00:29:39.080 Emotionally,
00:29:39.720 psychologically unstable.
00:29:41.140 Initiate proceedings 0.51
00:29:42.120 to remove the president.
00:29:43.560 You and several
00:29:44.340 of your Democratic
00:29:44.940 House colleagues
00:29:45.600 met with a psychiatry
00:29:47.360 professor from Yale,
00:29:48.760 Dr. Bandy Lee.
00:29:50.260 She told CNN today,
00:29:51.440 quote,
00:29:52.060 as the president
00:29:52.820 is unraveling,
00:29:53.740 he seems to be losing
00:29:54.660 his grip on reality
00:29:55.760 and reverting
00:29:56.340 to conspiracy theories.
00:29:57.500 Dr. Lee
00:29:58.140 and other psychiatrists
00:29:59.580 who've been up
00:30:00.200 to meet with members
00:30:01.100 of Congress
00:30:01.580 have been predicting
00:30:02.580 increasingly delusional
00:30:04.700 and paranoid behavior
00:30:06.900 on the part
00:30:07.600 of the president.
00:30:08.740 The president
00:30:09.220 is dangerous
00:30:09.920 and unable
00:30:10.660 to successfully
00:30:11.640 meet the powers
00:30:12.380 and duties of office.
00:30:13.500 That was 2017.
00:30:15.620 Not about Joe Biden,
00:30:16.980 but about Donald Trump.
00:30:18.160 What's amazing,
00:30:18.740 you could imagine
00:30:19.400 every one of those quotes
00:30:20.520 about Joe Biden.
00:30:21.960 Yeah.
00:30:22.640 And those quotes,
00:30:23.780 I think,
00:30:24.240 didn't happen to mention
00:30:25.140 other than maybe
00:30:25.700 the first one,
00:30:26.360 Trump's name.
00:30:27.600 Yep.
00:30:27.760 And so if someone
00:30:28.700 just heard that snippet,
00:30:29.920 they might say,
00:30:30.480 wow,
00:30:31.400 the D's are ready 0.99
00:30:32.120 to invoke
00:30:32.620 the 25th Amendment.
00:30:33.700 I gotta say,
00:30:34.820 look,
00:30:35.200 the fact that
00:30:36.200 the CNN story
00:30:38.860 is quoted
00:30:39.480 is leaking
00:30:40.060 from the cabinet.
00:30:41.920 Well,
00:30:42.440 and this goes
00:30:43.240 to the reporting
00:30:43.820 today from CNN.
00:30:46.180 Here is the bombshell
00:30:47.420 CNN report
00:30:48.220 that cabinet secretaries
00:30:50.260 not only are submitting
00:30:50.780 questions,
00:30:51.800 but my question now is,
00:30:53.360 is this being done
00:30:54.600 on purpose
00:30:55.200 so that they may
00:30:56.180 actually start
00:30:56.880 talking about
00:30:57.300 the 25th Amendment?
00:30:58.680 Listen to how CNN
00:30:59.720 blew this up today.
00:31:01.260 Get the White House
00:31:01.800 perspective now
00:31:02.600 with CNN's MJ Lee,
00:31:04.280 who's there for us.
00:31:05.660 MJ,
00:31:06.340 you and your colleagues
00:31:07.060 have some reporting
00:31:07.980 on the mood
00:31:08.820 behind the scenes.
00:31:10.440 What are you hearing
00:31:10.940 from your sources?
00:31:12.360 Well, Boris,
00:31:12.920 there's certainly been
00:31:13.920 a lot of confusion
00:31:15.140 and anger
00:31:16.060 and sadness
00:31:16.820 inside the White House,
00:31:18.440 across the administration,
00:31:19.680 the campaign,
00:31:20.360 and across the Democratic Party
00:31:22.360 more broadly
00:31:23.360 since the president's
00:31:24.620 really halting
00:31:25.660 and shocking
00:31:26.120 debate performance.
00:31:27.500 My colleagues and I
00:31:28.580 have spoken
00:31:29.180 over the course
00:31:30.020 of the last two weeks
00:31:30.980 to dozens
00:31:32.160 of Democratic sources,
00:31:33.480 including,
00:31:34.400 I should note,
00:31:35.280 senior Democrats
00:31:36.000 who have spent
00:31:36.920 real time
00:31:37.740 with the president
00:31:38.320 and in some cases
00:31:39.580 have known the president
00:31:40.840 for years.
00:31:41.960 And what has been striking
00:31:43.180 is that none of them
00:31:44.780 had ever seen
00:31:46.160 this version
00:31:46.840 of President Biden
00:31:47.820 that we all saw
00:31:48.900 on the debate stage
00:31:50.100 that was so faltering
00:31:51.900 and dazed.
00:31:53.340 And plenty of officials
00:31:54.760 that we spoke with
00:31:55.720 said, look,
00:31:56.420 of course,
00:31:57.260 we've known
00:31:58.020 that the president
00:31:58.640 has aged.
00:31:59.360 He is certainly
00:31:59.860 not the same person
00:32:01.080 that we know
00:32:02.060 from, say,
00:32:02.760 a year ago.
00:32:04.060 But what they had said,
00:32:06.820 and that was so noteworthy,
00:32:09.020 is that they said
00:32:09.980 they couldn't have
00:32:10.640 possibly known
00:32:11.780 about the full extent
00:32:13.400 of the president's decline.
00:32:14.940 And what many of them
00:32:16.100 blame at this point
00:32:17.680 is this apparatus
00:32:18.880 and daily operation
00:32:20.280 that is built
00:32:21.060 around the president
00:32:21.980 that is so painfully
00:32:23.720 choreographed
00:32:24.760 and stage-managed,
00:32:26.040 they said,
00:32:26.540 that is designed
00:32:27.320 to prevent the president
00:32:28.600 from being often
00:32:30.340 out in these unscripted settings
00:32:33.940 for an extended period
00:32:35.080 of time.
00:32:35.640 And that really,
00:32:36.440 what that meant
00:32:37.320 was that only
00:32:37.980 a small circle
00:32:39.100 of inner circle
00:32:41.300 of advisors
00:32:41.960 and perhaps family members
00:32:43.580 could have known
00:32:44.540 about sort of
00:32:45.580 this full picture
00:32:46.440 of the president's condition
00:32:48.100 just one example
00:32:49.760 that is in our story
00:32:51.120 is that,
00:32:52.160 according to two sources,
00:32:54.080 before cabinet meetings
00:32:55.680 that the president attends,
00:32:57.420 cabinet officials
00:32:58.400 will submit their questions
00:33:00.260 and talking points,
00:33:02.100 key talking points
00:33:02.880 and bullet points
00:33:03.520 that they plan to present
00:33:04.940 to the president
00:33:05.800 in these closed-door meetings.
00:33:07.840 This is how one source
00:33:09.040 described it.
00:33:09.660 They said the entire display
00:33:11.040 is kind of an act.
00:33:12.700 They would come and say,
00:33:13.600 hey, the president
00:33:14.200 is going to call on you
00:33:15.420 about 25 minutes in
00:33:16.860 and ask this question
00:33:18.020 what are the bullet points
00:33:19.280 that you'll respond with.
00:33:20.880 Now, the White House's defense
00:33:22.340 has been that
00:33:22.940 that is standard practice
00:33:24.440 for any administration.
00:33:25.680 They said,
00:33:26.340 in a setting like this,
00:33:27.500 you never want the president
00:33:28.600 to be not aware
00:33:31.020 of what is going
00:33:32.500 to be discussed.
00:33:33.620 You look at this, Senator,
00:33:35.860 I sit there
00:33:37.520 and I'm like,
00:33:37.960 okay,
00:33:38.900 you've got people
00:33:39.740 that serve
00:33:40.340 at the pleasure
00:33:40.840 of the president
00:33:41.500 who are now looking out
00:33:43.920 for their own best interests.
00:33:45.800 They don't want
00:33:46.300 to lose their power.
00:33:47.840 You got people
00:33:48.660 on his campaign
00:33:49.540 that apparently
00:33:50.160 have the same mentality
00:33:51.360 as these cabinet members
00:33:52.860 and all the leaks
00:33:54.480 about Joe Biden
00:33:55.680 are coming from within now.
00:33:58.040 You can't control them.
00:34:00.240 White House leaks
00:34:01.440 destroy presidencies
00:34:03.640 and now it's like
00:34:05.660 if you're leaking this
00:34:06.740 and you're a senior
00:34:07.520 cabinet member,
00:34:08.720 are you doing it
00:34:09.880 to prep the country
00:34:10.880 for possibly the 25th?
00:34:12.620 Look, I think
00:34:14.100 that prospect
00:34:14.740 is rising.
00:34:15.920 I've got to say also
00:34:16.620 the White House defense,
00:34:18.020 well, this is standard
00:34:18.900 operating procedure.
00:34:20.560 Listen, I have been in
00:34:22.100 literally hundreds
00:34:24.060 of meetings
00:34:24.860 with presidents,
00:34:26.600 whether Donald Trump
00:34:27.620 or Barack Obama
00:34:29.560 and I've never been
00:34:32.080 in one meeting
00:34:32.720 where we had talking points
00:34:34.740 and it was choreographed.
00:34:36.620 That doesn't happen.
00:34:37.740 I talked to Donald Trump
00:34:39.200 a couple days on the go
00:34:39.980 on the phone call.
00:34:41.020 He didn't know
00:34:41.460 what I was going to say.
00:34:42.200 I didn't know
00:34:42.480 what he was going to say
00:34:43.180 because you're talking
00:34:44.000 to an actual human being.
00:34:46.440 Every day when senators meet,
00:34:48.200 we don't read scripts.
00:34:49.480 Like, to do this job,
00:34:51.500 you actually have to be able
00:34:52.380 to talk about colleagues
00:34:53.460 and say, okay,
00:34:54.020 what's going on
00:34:54.720 and ask questions
00:34:55.440 and discuss things.
00:34:56.620 Now, look,
00:34:57.060 you'll read a speech.
00:34:58.020 That's commonplace.
00:34:59.080 But at a meeting,
00:34:59.840 a cabinet meeting
00:35:00.580 where they're supposed
00:35:01.600 to be your top advisors,
00:35:02.980 I meet with my senior staff
00:35:04.400 every week.
00:35:06.040 My senior staff
00:35:07.140 don't come in.
00:35:08.200 I don't ask them,
00:35:09.400 give me the talking points
00:35:10.320 of what you're going to say
00:35:11.080 before you say it.
00:35:12.660 Because professionals
00:35:14.320 are able to have
00:35:15.140 a conversation,
00:35:16.520 listen,
00:35:17.260 and process information
00:35:18.500 and, by the way,
00:35:20.180 then ask follow-up questions.
00:35:21.800 What about this?
00:35:22.540 Well, should we do this?
00:35:23.300 What do you think about this?
00:35:24.240 Okay, let's go down
00:35:26.060 this direction.
00:35:26.780 That's actually the way
00:35:27.840 presidents operate.
00:35:29.120 I've been in bunches
00:35:31.220 of free-flowing
00:35:32.080 presidential meetings
00:35:33.120 with Trump
00:35:33.620 where we'd be all over the place
00:35:34.780 and you'd have people
00:35:35.340 arguing on one side
00:35:36.240 and arguing on the other
00:35:36.940 and Trump will say,
00:35:37.440 what about this?
00:35:38.600 And I mean,
00:35:39.040 we would,
00:35:39.980 you know,
00:35:40.260 I've been up in the
00:35:41.000 White House residence
00:35:41.820 with him and a couple
00:35:42.560 other senators
00:35:43.200 with people screaming
00:35:44.460 at each other
00:35:45.040 until 10,
00:35:45.540 1030 at night.
00:35:46.920 That is dramatically
00:35:49.380 different from the
00:35:50.560 kabuki theater
00:35:51.560 that Joe Biden
00:35:52.460 was putting on.
00:35:53.220 Now, to be clear,
00:35:54.280 his entire cabinet
00:35:55.960 was complicit.
00:35:56.720 His entire White House
00:35:57.560 staff was complicit.
00:35:59.040 The Democrats in Congress
00:36:00.200 were complicit.
00:36:00.880 They all knew this.
00:36:01.780 They're all saying,
00:36:02.360 gosh, we're shocked,
00:36:03.240 just absolutely shocked.
00:36:04.780 I've told you,
00:36:05.560 Biden won't meet
00:36:06.340 with Republican senators.
00:36:07.380 That's been true
00:36:07.880 for three and a half years.
00:36:09.180 I haven't had any meetings
00:36:10.020 with President Biden.
00:36:10.820 Apparently now it's on
00:36:12.520 cabinet members now, right?
00:36:15.760 When Republican senators
00:36:17.120 meet to have lunch,
00:36:17.980 we talk about how weird it is
00:36:19.700 that we haven't talked
00:36:21.300 to Joe Biden.
00:36:21.980 We all know Joe.
00:36:22.880 He was a man of the Senate
00:36:23.860 for 40 years.
00:36:25.520 But they won't let him
00:36:27.320 meet with us
00:36:28.320 because this has been obvious
00:36:30.500 for three and a half years
00:36:31.720 and the media,
00:36:33.540 the Democrats,
00:36:34.100 they were all complicit
00:36:35.480 until the debate
00:36:36.900 thrust it unavoidably
00:36:38.860 in front of the public
00:36:39.840 and now they're all
00:36:41.000 running scared.
00:36:42.620 Does this change
00:36:43.300 the calculus
00:36:44.020 in your mind
00:36:45.100 for Democrats
00:36:45.840 moving forward?
00:36:47.080 I mean,
00:36:47.480 I thought by the end
00:36:48.860 of this week
00:36:49.500 they would get back
00:36:51.040 in line behind him.
00:36:52.440 We don't seem
00:36:53.460 to have that happening
00:36:55.600 at all.
00:36:56.740 And it now seems
00:36:58.120 that from within
00:36:59.320 are the people
00:37:00.580 that are hurting him
00:37:02.860 the most.
00:37:03.240 I'll give you an example.
00:37:04.540 Jake Tapper
00:37:05.240 went on his show
00:37:06.060 on CNN today
00:37:07.100 and this is what he said.
00:37:08.600 Let's bring in our panel
00:37:09.720 and on that note,
00:37:11.420 I want to share something
00:37:12.600 with you all
00:37:13.180 that a long-time
00:37:14.520 Biden advisor
00:37:15.420 just texted me.
00:37:17.300 Okay?
00:37:18.100 He or she said,
00:37:20.040 quote,
00:37:20.300 I just think
00:37:21.720 there's an unfortunate
00:37:22.700 inevitability
00:37:23.540 to all this.
00:37:24.820 I'm sad
00:37:25.480 because I've known him
00:37:26.260 a long time
00:37:26.960 and he's a good man.
00:37:28.520 I'm angry
00:37:29.260 at his inner circle
00:37:30.200 who have not served him well
00:37:31.660 and at times
00:37:32.300 committed malpractice
00:37:33.520 in their service
00:37:34.180 and I am frustrated
00:37:35.540 at the family,
00:37:36.580 the Biden family,
00:37:37.280 for not expanding
00:37:38.100 the circle
00:37:38.600 so there would be
00:37:39.720 at least a truth teller
00:37:41.060 or two
00:37:41.780 in their midst.
00:37:43.340 They created
00:37:44.020 a perfect storm
00:37:44.960 of an echo chamber
00:37:46.160 and it is biting them all 1.00
00:37:47.920 in the ass. 1.00
00:37:50.320 Again, 1.00
00:37:51.000 as with MJ,
00:37:52.060 apologies for the salty language
00:37:53.280 but this is
00:37:54.200 the extent
00:37:55.180 of the frustration.
00:37:56.480 Gloria,
00:37:56.980 your reaction?
00:37:57.720 Again,
00:37:58.320 this is Jake Tapper.
00:37:59.960 He's not burning somebody.
00:38:01.840 This advisor,
00:38:03.000 this long-time advisor,
00:38:04.880 I think,
00:38:05.340 made it very clear
00:38:06.440 that for,
00:38:08.760 I mean,
00:38:08.960 for goodness sakes,
00:38:09.980 like,
00:38:10.340 do this,
00:38:11.320 go on TV.
00:38:12.700 Yeah,
00:38:12.920 listen,
00:38:13.260 Ron Klain
00:38:13.800 sent that text
00:38:14.760 expecting that
00:38:15.720 Jake Tapper
00:38:16.320 would read it
00:38:18.000 on air.
00:38:19.200 And by the way,
00:38:19.760 I don't know
00:38:20.100 if it was Ron Klain,
00:38:20.800 I'm just picking a 0.88
00:38:21.940 Yeah,
00:38:22.220 I mean,
00:38:22.500 whoever did this
00:38:23.260 said,
00:38:23.580 go on air
00:38:24.620 and read this.
00:38:25.420 I'm letting you do it.
00:38:26.760 Look,
00:38:27.200 you don't send it
00:38:28.120 to Jake Tapper
00:38:28.760 without expecting
00:38:29.520 that he's going
00:38:29.920 to repeat it.
00:38:30.520 That's why
00:38:30.880 you're sending it.
00:38:31.940 And look,
00:38:32.980 the press is turning
00:38:34.140 on him.
00:38:35.420 Remember,
00:38:36.220 like,
00:38:36.900 12 minutes ago
00:38:37.840 where the corporate
00:38:39.560 media would say
00:38:40.660 it's a tinfoil hat
00:38:41.640 conspiracy theory
00:38:42.680 when you say
00:38:43.420 that Obama's
00:38:44.360 running things?
00:38:44.920 We've said a number
00:38:45.840 of times in this
00:38:46.460 podcast that it's
00:38:47.680 Obama's pulling
00:38:48.380 the strings.
00:38:49.380 I want you to
00:38:50.500 listen to
00:38:51.520 Morning Joe
00:38:53.460 talking about
00:38:54.860 who's really
00:38:55.900 behind everything
00:38:56.580 right now.
00:38:57.280 Give a listen.
00:38:58.400 Before I play that,
00:38:59.260 I want to tell you
00:38:59.740 about our friends
00:39:00.180 at the International
00:39:00.720 Fellowship of
00:39:01.400 Christians and Jews
00:39:02.600 since the start
00:39:03.360 of the Sword of
00:39:04.360 Iron War in Israel
00:39:05.380 on October the 7th.
00:39:06.880 We have seen
00:39:07.480 death and destruction
00:39:08.360 in the Holy Land.
00:39:09.740 And for more than
00:39:10.340 40 years,
00:39:11.200 the International
00:39:11.800 Fellowship of
00:39:12.480 Christians and Jews
00:39:13.320 has been on the
00:39:13.880 ground in Israel.
00:39:15.600 And within hours
00:39:16.280 of the war starting
00:39:17.060 and every day since,
00:39:18.000 they've been feeding
00:39:18.620 the hungry and
00:39:19.520 protecting the vulnerable.
00:39:21.060 The attacks continue
00:39:22.240 in the north and the
00:39:23.000 south in Israel.
00:39:24.200 But there are resilient
00:39:25.160 survivors who bravely
00:39:26.500 share their stories
00:39:27.380 in a series the
00:39:28.820 Fellowship calls
00:39:29.900 Faces of Iron.
00:39:31.840 I want you to hear
00:39:33.800 their stories because
00:39:35.160 so many in the media
00:39:36.180 have not been covering
00:39:37.300 them.
00:39:38.160 Survivors,
00:39:38.780 for example,
00:39:39.240 like Danny,
00:39:39.780 whose beloved daughter
00:39:40.860 and her husband
00:39:41.480 were burned alive
00:39:43.060 on October the 7th
00:39:44.040 by Hamas terrorists
00:39:44.960 need to be heard
00:39:45.840 by the world.
00:39:47.540 Danny is a commander
00:39:48.480 of the volunteer
00:39:49.060 fire and rescue
00:39:50.160 in his community.
00:39:51.220 Despite fire equipment
00:39:52.300 nearby,
00:39:52.960 Danny could do nothing
00:39:54.040 as his daughter's
00:39:54.880 house burned
00:39:55.520 and his daughter
00:39:56.680 and her husband
00:39:57.360 lost their lives.
00:39:58.900 Christians like you
00:39:59.880 support Israel
00:40:00.900 through the International
00:40:01.660 Fellowship of Christians 0.70
00:40:02.660 and Jews.
00:40:03.800 It's this support
00:40:04.560 that helps these
00:40:05.200 survivors remain
00:40:06.120 steadfast and strong.
00:40:07.880 I want you to hear
00:40:08.620 more of their stories
00:40:09.580 like the one I just
00:40:10.540 mentioned and I want
00:40:11.720 you to show your
00:40:12.240 support for Israel
00:40:13.320 and stand with the
00:40:14.300 people of Israel.
00:40:15.300 All you have to do
00:40:16.300 to hear these stories
00:40:17.220 and spread them 0.77

00:40:18.920 is go to
00:40:19.540 supportifcj.org.
00:40:22.620 That's supportifcj.org.
00:40:27.060 Here's that clip,
00:40:28.220 Senator,
00:40:28.420 that you mentioned
00:40:28.840 a moment ago.
00:40:29.620 Morning, Joe.
00:40:30.660 One thing that we do
00:40:31.760 have to underline here
00:40:32.840 just so viewers
00:40:34.000 can follow what's
00:40:36.120 going on behind
00:40:37.000 the scenes
00:40:37.580 is the Biden
00:40:39.960 campaign
00:40:40.620 and many
00:40:42.300 Democratic officials
00:40:43.840 do believe
00:40:45.000 that Barack Obama
00:40:46.060 is quietly
00:40:48.380 working behind
00:40:49.780 the scenes
00:40:50.400 to orchestrate
00:40:52.220 this.
00:40:53.600 I mean,
00:40:54.720 if you and I
00:40:55.580 had said that
00:40:56.320 a month ago,
00:40:58.060 they would go
00:40:59.780 crazy,
00:41:00.400 they would mock 0.94
00:41:01.020 us.
00:41:01.260 Now,
00:41:01.500 I want to play
00:41:02.220 also what Mika
00:41:02.920 Brzezinski said
00:41:03.820 about the George
00:41:05.100 Clooney op-ed
00:41:05.900 because that's...
00:41:06.940 Just give a listen
00:41:07.560 to what Mika says.
00:41:08.900 This wasn't
00:41:09.640 George Clooney.
00:41:10.680 But,
00:41:10.940 well,
00:41:12.220 what do you mean?
00:41:13.120 It just wasn't.
00:41:14.100 Come on.
00:41:14.760 Well,
00:41:15.080 who do you think
00:41:15.860 it was?
00:41:16.280 Matt Damon?
00:41:17.080 It was not Matt Damon.
00:41:18.560 Who do you think it was?
00:41:19.260 It wasn't Julia Roberts.
00:41:20.220 Who do you think it was?
00:41:21.660 You can say the name.
00:41:23.060 You won't melt.
00:41:23.760 It's not Voldemort.
00:41:24.700 Are you saying you think
00:41:27.140 Barack Obama put him
00:41:28.320 up to this?
00:41:29.060 I think that
00:41:30.640 Barack Obama has a lot
00:41:32.160 of influence and I
00:41:33.200 think that
00:41:34.100 there's a lot there.
00:41:38.180 There's a lot there.
00:41:39.260 There's a lot there.
00:41:40.100 There's a lot there,
00:41:41.120 Willie.
00:41:41.620 There are two people
00:41:42.960 in this picture and
00:41:44.120 one has had a
00:41:45.180 presidency that was
00:41:46.200 absolutely,
00:41:48.400 undeniably
00:41:49.540 historic.
00:41:51.220 Yeah.
00:41:52.080 Well,
00:41:52.600 I think you have two
00:41:53.460 people that had
00:41:54.920 extraordinarily
00:41:56.380 historic in terms of
00:41:58.640 legislative accomplishments.
00:42:00.900 Well,
00:42:01.140 well,
00:42:01.400 you say and
00:42:02.220 they're both historic
00:42:03.260 and they're both historic
00:42:04.460 and Barack Obama
00:42:05.840 for sure.
00:42:06.700 Affordable Care Act,
00:42:07.700 George.
00:42:08.360 I mean,
00:42:09.020 not George Clooney.
00:42:10.180 He probably said it
00:42:11.340 to Willie,
00:42:11.960 but Joe Biden
00:42:12.960 actually whispered
00:42:14.360 that that was a big
00:42:15.620 deal.
00:42:17.140 Effing deal.
00:42:19.620 This is the conversation
00:42:21.000 they're having
00:42:21.660 on MSNBC
00:42:23.540 as George Clooney
00:42:25.140 comes out.
00:42:25.700 I love Joe Biden,
00:42:26.620 but we need a new
00:42:27.280 nominee.
00:42:29.200 Yeah.
00:42:29.400 And to be clear,
00:42:30.460 Politico also reported
00:42:31.800 quote before Hollywood
00:42:33.360 icon and Democratic
00:42:34.400 donor George Clooney
00:42:35.380 published his buzzy and
00:42:37.000 brutal New York Times
00:42:38.000 op-ed yesterday
00:42:38.820 calling on Biden to
00:42:40.140 step aside as the
00:42:40.820 nominee.
00:42:41.960 We're told he reached
00:42:43.000 out to former
00:42:43.700 President Barack Obama
00:42:44.920 to give him the heads
00:42:45.620 up.
00:42:46.520 The two men who are
00:42:47.240 friendly both attended
00:42:48.200 the L.A.
00:42:48.740 fundraiser Clooney
00:42:49.420 referenced in his
00:42:50.100 piece,
00:42:50.440 where the actor said
00:42:51.860 he'd beheld a
00:42:52.700 diminished Biden
00:42:53.480 and that the leader
00:42:54.600 he interacted with
00:42:55.720 was, quote,
00:42:56.720 the same man we all
00:42:57.800 witnessed at the
00:42:58.340 debate.
00:42:59.260 While Obama did not
00:43:00.720 encourage or advise
00:43:02.020 Clooney to say what
00:43:02.860 he said,
00:43:04.000 he also didn't
00:43:05.640 object to it.
00:43:07.100 We're told from
00:43:08.020 people familiar with
00:43:09.000 their exchange.
00:43:10.080 The lack of pushback
00:43:11.280 is an eye-popping
00:43:12.360 revelation given
00:43:13.680 that the former
00:43:14.280 president was one of
00:43:15.240 the first big voices
00:43:16.160 defending Biden
00:43:17.080 following his
00:43:18.180 abysmal debate
00:43:18.860 performance,
00:43:19.500 while many of his
00:43:20.600 former aides have
00:43:21.360 been some of the
00:43:21.920 incumbent's biggest
00:43:22.660 critics.
00:43:23.700 Again, if you and
00:43:24.800 I said that
00:43:25.680 12 minutes ago,
00:43:27.840 they would have
00:43:28.540 fitted us for the
00:43:29.380 tinfoil hats and
00:43:30.500 said we were
00:43:31.020 loons, and now
00:43:32.220 every one of them
00:43:32.940 is saying this is
00:43:33.920 Barack Obama
00:43:34.640 pulling the strings.
00:43:35.400 Yeah, well, get
00:43:36.780 ready.
00:43:37.240 It's civil war, and
00:43:38.720 it is not calming
00:43:40.040 down within the
00:43:40.820 Democratic Party.
00:43:41.680 Don't forget, we do
00:43:42.380 the show Monday,
00:43:43.100 Wednesday, and
00:43:43.640 Friday.

00:43:49.800 news out about the
00:43:50.760 incredible defeat of
00:43:51.720 this radical judge,
00:43:53.480 no one else is
00:43:54.220 covering it.
00:43:54.760 Put it up on social
00:43:55.620 media, wherever you
00:43:56.620 are on social media,
