00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.500 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.160 Well, happy Memorial Day from all of us here at Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:00:10.120 Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:11.220 And I just want to take a moment to say thank you to every single one of you that has served
00:00:18.660 this country, worn a badge, and for all of those that have given the ultimate sacrifice
00:00:24.320 to protect and defend this country and our freedoms.
00:00:28.460 Senator Cruz and I want to say thank you.
00:00:30.940 You know, Memorial Day weekend of so many people.
00:00:34.100 Just think of it as a Monday off, a three-day weekend, a time to, you know, hang out with
00:00:39.220 family and friends and cook out.
00:00:41.020 And that is certainly a part of the tradition.
00:00:43.840 But one of the things that I just want to make sure we take a moment and pause is remind
00:00:48.760 everyone in your family, your kids and your grandkids, that this day is about so much more
00:00:57.040 than just a Monday off.
00:00:59.640 This day is about honoring those that have fought and protected and defended and given
00:01:05.700 the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
00:01:08.560 And that is something that is so important that we not lose that opportunity to talk to
00:01:15.460 our kids and our grandkids about it.
00:01:17.160 I am going to be doing that today and honoring veterans as I cook out, having some incredible
00:01:24.420 American heroes over, and my little way of saying thank you.
00:01:28.200 And I hope that you will do the same to anyone that you know that has served this country.
00:01:32.680 Thank them for their service to what they have done.
00:01:34.820 And I hope that you have a fabulous Memorial Day with your family and your friends.
00:01:40.460 And to many who are going to be sad and have a somber Memorial Day, remembering their loved
00:01:46.400 ones that they've lost, don't forget them.
00:01:49.260 Because today as we're grilling out, many of them are going to be visiting their loved ones
00:01:55.100 in their funeral homes where they have laid to rest.
00:01:59.040 And that is something that I will never forget.
00:02:01.700 But having family and friends have lost people serving this country, and that is what they
00:02:07.060 do on Memorial Day, let's not forget the ultimate sacrifices.
00:02:11.640 With that being said, also, I know so many of you are traveling.
00:02:16.180 Be safe on the road.
00:02:17.660 And here are some of the big subjects that the Senator and I talked about this past couple
00:02:22.000 of weeks that I want to make sure you hear about.
00:02:24.840 Senator, let's talk about a bigger overview picture.
00:02:29.680 We have known for quite some time, but it's really come out recently that there was a
00:02:35.940 lot of money coming in from foreign nations that are adversaries of the U.S. into college
00:02:40.280 campuses.
00:02:41.140 We now see what they were buying, which was they were buying influence over a generation.
00:02:47.200 We see massive donations that went into the Biden Penn Center, for example, directly from
00:02:51.360 China.
00:02:51.760 And now we're saying that it's not just buying influence to change hearts and minds of college
00:02:57.520 students at the Ivy Leagues and other schools.
00:02:59.860 But now they moved into direct activism with these campus protests, which seems to be phase
00:03:06.720 two of their plan.
00:03:08.540 Ben, that's exactly right.
00:03:09.840 There's a major report that came out on Monday this week from NCRI.
00:03:14.240 NCRI is the Network Contagion Research Institute.
00:03:17.740 This is the same group that put out the empirical studies of TikTok and how the Chinese communist
00:03:22.900 government was pushing communist propaganda on TikTok.
00:03:26.660 And it led to ultimately Congress passing the legislation, forcing the Chinese communist
00:03:31.660 government either to sell TikTok or shut down in the U.S.
00:03:34.520 So NCRI is a serious organization that does serious research.
00:03:40.020 The report they put out, I want to go into it in detail because it's getting very little
00:03:45.300 coverage and it should get a lot of coverage.
00:03:48.200 Here's how it begins.
00:03:49.440 Quote, this report analyzes the activities and foreign connections of the Shut It Down for
00:03:54.160 Palestine, SID4P movement since its formation in October 2023.
00:04:00.120 It examines SID4P's use of protests, direct action initiatives and sophisticated media campaigns
00:04:07.280 to advance anti-America and anti-Israel narratives, both online and offline.
00:04:14.040 Additionally, it highlights the involvement of a network linked to the Chinese communist
00:04:18.200 party that funds and supports both alternative anti-establishment media organizations promoting
00:04:25.240 anti-American initiatives, as well as seemingly grassroots activist movements, such as and
00:04:31.340 including SID4P.
00:04:34.340 So here are the key takeaways and assessments.
00:04:37.860 Number one, SID4P's emergence.
00:04:41.620 Shut It Down for Palestine is an anti-capitalist, anti-police and anti-government protest movement
00:04:47.700 that emerged after October 7th, 2023.
00:04:50.640 It functions as a hybrid online real-world network for mobilizing frequent demonstrations,
00:04:57.440 as well as a gradually escalating direct action campaigns targeting critical infrastructure
00:05:04.000 and public spaces.
00:05:06.980 Two, SID4P's ties to CCP-linked entities, conveners or organizations operating under the SID4P umbrella
00:05:17.420 are members of the Singham Network donor portfolio.
00:05:22.540 The Singham Network is a global network, global web of non-profits, fiscal sponsors and alternative
00:05:28.160 news sources tied to Neville Roy Singham, a known conduit for CCP geopolitical influence.
00:05:36.960 Three, SID4P's funding.
00:05:40.300 The Singham Network exploits regulatory loopholes in the U.S. non-profit system to facilitate the
00:05:46.040 flow of enormous sum of U.S. dollars to organizations and movements that actively stoke
00:05:52.720 social unrest at the grassroots level.
00:05:56.180 Four, alternative media and social media strategy.
00:06:00.600 Alternative media outlets associated with the Singham Network have played a central role
00:06:04.700 in online mobilization and cross-platform social amplification for SID4P.
00:06:10.460 And five, ties to extremist groups.
00:06:14.560 SID4P has ties to extremist groups that embrace a violent single-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian
00:06:21.920 conflict.
00:06:22.880 At least one SID4P convener is linked to the extreme edge of pro-Palestinian groups operating
00:06:30.940 in the U.S. that advance anti-American and anti-Jewish agendas.
00:06:35.500 Let me ask you a question real quick.
00:06:38.120 If you knew that you were giving money to a company that was supporting hardcore lefties
00:06:43.020 running for office, if you knew you were giving money to a company that was supporting Planned
00:06:47.920 Parenthood, if you knew that you were giving money to a company that was giving money to
00:06:51.900 take away your First and Second Amendment rights, would you keep doing it and do it every single
00:06:56.700 month?
00:06:57.400 Well, if you're with Big Mobile, that's exactly what is happening.
00:07:00.280 You may not realize it, but now you know, Big Mobile supports big leftist causes, including
00:07:06.820 Planned Parenthood.
00:07:08.300 And that's why I want you to make the switch to Patriot Mobile.
00:07:12.140 For more than a decade, Patriot Mobile has been America's only Christian conservative wireless
00:07:17.740 provider.
00:07:18.960 And the number one reason why people don't switch cell phone providers, they think it takes
00:07:22.440 forever.
00:07:23.040 And it used to.
00:07:23.900 You used to have to go into a store.
00:07:25.260 You had to sit there.
00:07:26.040 You had to port your number over.
00:07:27.060 It was exhausting.
00:07:28.460 And so people are like, forget it.
00:07:29.780 I'll just stick with what I've got.
00:07:31.320 It doesn't work that way anymore.
00:07:33.160 In fact, you can switch right now to Patriot Mobile over the phone.
00:07:37.880 It is incredibly easy because of technology now.
00:07:41.020 And you get to keep your same cell phone number you have, and you can keep the same cell phone
00:07:45.420 you have in your hand right now, or you can upgrade to a new one.
00:07:48.060 Now, here's the best part.
00:07:49.860 When you switch to Patriot Mobile, they actually take about 5% of your bill every month at no extra
00:07:55.520 cost to you.
00:07:56.260 And they fight for the values that we believe in.
00:07:59.220 That's right.
00:07:59.820 Your bill every month goes to support free speech, religious freedom, the sanctity of
00:08:04.940 life, as well as supporting our Second Amendment.
00:08:07.440 And then they do something else that's amazing.
00:08:09.940 They stand with our military veterans, our wounded warriors, and our first responder heroes.
00:08:15.360 So in essence, when you make a phone call, when you pay your bill every month, you're standing
00:08:19.440 up for what you believe in.
00:08:21.020 Just go to PatriotMobile.com slash verdict.
00:08:24.340 That's PatriotMobile.com slash verdict, or call them at 972-PATRIOT.
00:08:29.360 That's 972-PATRIOT.
00:08:31.160 And here's the other thing.
00:08:32.300 You'll get free activation when you use the offer code VERDICT.
00:08:36.060 PatriotMobile.com slash verdict, or 972-PATRIOT.
00:08:40.580 This is next level, and it's obviously being orchestrated at the highest levels within these
00:08:47.560 governments.
00:08:48.360 And it's not just China.
00:08:50.400 It's also Cuba that is involved in this as well.
00:08:54.780 And this seems to be part two of their master plan.
00:08:58.080 And China, and I'm guessing on this one, but based on what we've seen from disclosures
00:09:04.180 on donations, probably is giving more money to American universities than any other nation
00:09:10.600 would be my guess.
00:09:11.700 And if they're not the top, they're probably one, two, or three.
00:09:15.200 I can't even imagine who would be above them.
00:09:17.300 We see massive money coming into the Ivy Leagues, massive money that came in the Biden-Penn
00:09:21.300 Center.
00:09:21.880 The list goes on and on.
00:09:23.420 But this is almost like, okay, how do we infiltrate a country?
00:09:27.480 How do we change the opinion of the people in that country?
00:09:31.380 And then how do we literally have revolutions in that country?
00:09:36.240 And they're doing it all in front of our very eyes, and no one seems to be stopping it.
00:09:40.920 Well, that is right.
00:09:42.660 And if you look at this report from NCRI, it details how China is spending millions, upwards
00:09:49.740 of potentially $100 million, funding these protests that are occurring on campuses, that
00:09:55.860 are shutting down bridges, that are shutting down airports.
00:09:58.700 And you might think, okay, what does China care about Hamas?
00:10:03.100 What does China care about Israel?
00:10:04.840 And the truth of the matter is they don't, but they care about America.
00:10:07.800 They care about tearing our country apart.
00:10:09.600 They care about chaos and fomenting dissent and dissension that paralyzes our country.
00:10:16.260 Let me read another portion from this report from the NCRI, quote, on the evening of April
00:10:21.520 30th, 2024, over 100 activists gathered at the People's Forum, a far-left nonprofit in
00:10:28.420 Manhattan that describes itself as a, quote, movement incubator for working class and marginalized
00:10:33.600 communities to discuss the ongoing Gaza encampments on university campuses.
00:10:38.460 The activists called on Columbia protesters to recreate the civil unrest associated with,
00:10:45.180 quote, the summer of 2020.
00:10:47.520 Remember, the summer of love.
00:10:49.460 Hours later, Columbia University's Hamilton Hall was forcibly occupied and barricaded.
00:10:55.920 After the hall was subsequently cleared by law enforcement, the New York Police Department
00:11:00.080 reported finding industrial-grade chains, gas masks, earplugs, helmets, goggles, hammers,
00:11:08.500 knives, and ropes.
00:11:10.240 Following processing, the Washington Post reported, per NYPD, that more than 25% of the arrests at
00:11:17.280 Columbia University and 60% at the City College of New York were not students.
00:11:23.740 This is communist China paying real money to disrupt America and to sow dissension.
00:11:33.080 And by the way, this group of conveners, I'll read another portion of the report, SID4P was
00:11:40.420 established and structured against the backdrop of increased pro-Palestinian activism starting
00:11:44.880 October 2023.
00:11:45.880 On November 1st, SID4P officially registered its domain, shut it down for Palestine.org,
00:11:53.920 and launched its site by November 6th.
00:11:56.220 By November 9th, SID4P publicly listed seven core organizations referred to as conveners,
00:12:03.580 as well as numerous organizations referred to as endorsers.
00:12:07.540 Reflecting the confluence of far-left and pro-Palestinian radical activism, the official SID4P
00:12:13.760 conveners include the following groups.
00:12:15.640 One, the People's Forum.
00:12:16.860 Two, Answer Coalition.
00:12:18.580 Three, the International People's Assembly.
00:12:20.780 Four, Al-Ada, New York.
00:12:23.340 Five, the National Students for Justice in Palestine, NSJP.
00:12:27.940 Six, the Palestinian Youth Movement.
00:12:29.880 And seven, the Palestinian American Community Center, New Jersey.
00:12:33.600 The seven conveners of SID4P can be divided into two distinct groupings based on ideological
00:12:39.460 affiliation and fiscal sponsorship.
00:12:41.060 The coalition's far-left members, namely the People's Forum, IPA, and Answer Coalition,
00:12:46.900 demonstrate significant financial personnel and operational overlap.
00:12:51.540 The remaining four conveners are all pro-Palestinian activist organizations with at least two,
00:12:56.960 NSJP and al-Adwa, known to have ties to U.S.-designated terrorist organizations.
00:13:03.740 In addition to NSJP and al-Adwa, among SID4P's endorsers is Samuduwan, which some Western intelligence
00:13:16.380 services classify as a front for the PFLP, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine,
00:13:23.500 which is designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States, Germany, and Israel.
00:13:30.680 So the question that everyone, I think, that's listening right now is asking is,
00:13:35.300 how is this then legal?
00:13:36.940 And if there's direct ties that are going back to terrorism, how is, again, this legal?
00:13:42.400 And if foreign funds are coming in from our adversaries to pay and fund this anarchists
00:13:49.980 on college campuses, how is that legal?
00:13:53.240 Is there anything that the government can do to say, we're not going to allow this to happen?
00:13:57.140 And we're talking about the finances of this.
00:14:00.160 Well, look, there should be an enormous amount.
00:14:02.240 The Department of Justice should be investigating this.
00:14:04.640 The FBI should be investigating this.
00:14:06.560 We've got money coming from Communist China behind these protests, behind these anti-American,
00:14:11.500 anti-Israel protests.
00:14:12.960 We've got money coming from organizations that have close ties to designated terrorist organizations.
00:14:18.620 And so whether it is Hamas and Hezbollah pushing this, whether it is affiliated allies of their pushing this,
00:14:25.060 whether it is Iran pushing this, or whether it is Communist China pushing this,
00:14:29.060 the FBI ought to be all over it.
00:14:30.860 And I've got to tell you, Ben, my level of confidence that the FBI and the Department of Justice
00:14:35.600 is even looking at this is incredibly low.
00:14:38.720 Because, sadly, this Biden Department of Justice is so politicized that they're much more interested
00:14:47.740 in tracking down some little old lady on the National Mall on January 6th who was waving
00:14:52.860 an American flag and saying, God bless America, and finding every Facebook post she put 20 years ago
00:14:58.600 than they are actually interested in finding Communist China spending millions of dollars
00:15:02.800 trying to rip America apart.
00:15:04.200 And, Senator, look, education and quality education and going to a prestigious school
00:15:12.760 was something that you worked incredibly hard for.
00:15:16.420 But you now look at what's happened at our colleges, and I'm talking about at our, quote, best colleges.
00:15:24.260 How much of now what we're witnessing with them tolerating all of these protests the way that they did
00:15:31.620 in the presence is because maybe they can't say no to the foreign cash and the amount of foreign cash
00:15:37.980 and, therefore, foreign influence that's coming in from these same countries.
00:15:42.540 Look, the foreign cash is an enormous problem.
00:15:46.580 And let me give you, let's look at the Ivy League.
00:15:49.680 So the Ivy League, eight colleges, have historically been among the very best colleges in America.
00:15:55.660 I want us to look at the percentage of foreign students in the Ivy League.
00:15:59.420 So Brown University, what percent of foreign students do you think are at Brown?
00:16:03.340 It's got to be 20% plus, I would guess.
00:16:06.580 19%? You're off by a point.
00:16:08.260 Wow, okay.
00:16:09.220 How many students? 2,098.
00:16:11.920 Columbia University, what do you think the percentage is at Columbia?
00:16:15.180 25? 30?
00:16:17.960 38%. You want to know how many students that is?
00:16:20.660 14,088. 14,000 foreign students.
00:16:24.800 Cornell University, 26%.
00:16:27.440 Dartmouth College, 17%.
00:16:29.960 Harvard University, 22%.
00:16:31.940 Princeton University, my alma mater, 23%.
00:16:35.300 University of Pennsylvania, 23%.
00:16:37.340 Yale University, 24%.
00:16:39.640 We are talking about thousands and thousands and tens of thousands of foreign students.
00:16:44.600 Now, part of the reason the university is like this is because the foreign students all pay full freight.
00:16:50.800 So it's a great money-making endeavor.
00:16:52.680 But why exactly are we educating people who among them, and not all of the foreign students, are that case?
00:16:59.220 Look, my best friend in college, who you know well, David Panton, was Jamaican.
00:17:04.700 He was a foreign student.
00:17:05.800 He came from Jamaica.
00:17:06.720 He arrived at Princeton at 16.
00:17:08.780 He was the best man at my wedding.
00:17:10.580 He has been, other than Heidi, my best friend in life.
00:17:13.120 He was a foreign student.
00:17:14.060 That was great.
00:17:15.620 That's very different.
00:17:16.820 A Jamaican kid who's talented and wants to go get a good education, or for that matter, my dad, in 1957, coming as a student from Cuba to the University of Texas.
00:17:27.380 He came on a student visa.
00:17:29.060 He came fleeing oppression.
00:17:30.440 He'd been in prison.
00:17:31.180 He'd been tortured.
00:17:31.800 But he was coming seeking freedom.
00:17:33.500 That is very different from bringing in a bunch of radical, anti-America, anti-Israel radicals.
00:17:43.660 Look, as far as I'm concerned, if you have a student on a student visa who gets out there and is burning an American flag and chanting death to America, you should deport him that day.
00:17:54.600 We have no obligation to allow people to come on student visas, which is permissive.
00:18:00.520 It is a choice.
00:18:01.860 It is a discretionary choice if they are going to tear down this country.
00:18:05.940 And part of the problem with the Ivy League schools is when you're looking at anywhere from 17 percent, Dartmouth College at the low point, to 38 percent, Columbia University at the high point, that are foreign students.
00:18:19.120 You have a bunch of students who are not Americans, and far too many of them don't give a damn about America and are trying to tear America down.
00:18:26.600 Unbelievable bias in this case, and it's another example of that.
00:18:30.380 I want to tell you real quick about an amazing organization that I want you to know about, and it is an organization called Preborn.
00:18:37.160 When a mother with an unplanned pregnancy meets her baby on ultrasound and hears their heartbeat, it is a divine encounter that doubles a baby's chance at life.
00:18:50.320 By six weeks, eyes are forming with a baby.
00:18:54.240 By 10 weeks, a baby is able to suck his or her own thumb.
00:18:58.640 And for just $28, you could be the difference between the life or death of a child.
00:19:04.800 That is what Preborn does.
00:19:07.560 They give women the ability to hear their baby's heartbeat on ultrasound.
00:19:14.100 It's just like putting your hand over your heart right now.
00:19:17.060 You know that you're alive because you can feel that heartbeat.
00:19:20.180 And the same is for a Preborn baby.
00:19:22.740 Their heart begins to form at conception, and at just three weeks, it's already beating.
00:19:27.580 At five weeks, a baby's heartbeat can be heard on that ultrasound.
00:19:30.220 And that's why we partnered with Preborn, because we need to help these precious babies.
00:19:36.240 Every day, Preborn's networks of clinics, they rescue 200 babies from abortion.
00:19:44.140 That is why I want you to get involved.
00:19:47.160 All gifts are tax deductible.
00:19:49.180 You can donate by just dialing pound 250 and say the keyword baby.
00:19:54.800 That's pound 250, say the keyword baby.
00:19:58.200 Or you can donate securely at preborn.com slash verdict.
00:20:03.380 That's preborn.com slash verdict.
00:20:06.100 Get in the game.
00:20:07.320 Help fight back against what they're doing over at Planned Parenthood.
00:20:11.060 Help the people at Preborn who are giving mothers a chance to hear their baby's heartbeat for the very first time.
00:20:18.280 Pound 250 on your phone, and then use the keyword baby, or donate securely at preborn.com slash verdict.
00:20:28.400 Senator, when we go back to the Mar-a-Lago raid, there was outrage enough just on that happening.
00:20:35.900 Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I would have witnessed the breaking news that took place
00:20:43.200 that said not only did the Biden administration and the Attorney General Merrick Garland authorize this raid,
00:20:51.420 but on top of that, they authorized the use of deadly force.
00:20:56.960 That's exactly right.
00:20:58.180 According to a filing that was unsealed this week, here's what it says.
00:21:03.820 Quote, according to an operations order produced in Discovery,
00:21:08.300 the FBI believed its objective for the Mar-a-Lago raid was to seize, quote,
00:21:13.680 classified information, NDI, and U.S. government records as described in the search warrant.
00:21:19.640 The order contained a policy statement regarding, quote, use of deadly force,
00:21:26.920 which stated, for example, quote,
00:21:29.720 law enforcement officers of the Department of Justice may use deadly force when necessary.
00:21:35.440 The agents planned to bring, quote,
00:21:39.200 standard-issue weapons, ammo, handcuffs, and medium and large-sized bolt cutters,
00:21:45.900 but they were instructed to wear unmarked polo or collared shirts.
00:21:52.280 There's so many questions that I have right now.
00:21:55.300 One of them, Senator, is the fact that it's like,
00:21:58.540 were you setting this up to be a disaster?
00:22:01.280 Because the Secret Service's job is to protect the President of the United States of America
00:22:06.780 and former Presidents at all costs.
00:22:09.220 So if you send in the FBI and you give them this,
00:22:13.580 hey, you've got authorized to use deadly force in this raid,
00:22:17.240 and the Secret Service there, whose job is to use deadly force to protect
00:22:20.960 the former President of the United States of America,
00:22:23.680 why would Merrick Garland set up that disastrous situation to even be a possibility?
00:22:30.740 Well, and look, they were anticipating potential conflicts with Secret Service.
00:22:34.960 So another one of the documents released says,
00:22:37.540 contingencies.
00:22:38.940 Should media be present at Mar-a-Lago?
00:22:41.300 All personnel will refer to MMOSC, and I don't know all these acronyms,
00:22:47.040 and adhere to FBI media policy as briefed.
00:22:50.940 Two, should F. POTUS, former President of the United States, arrive at Mar-a-Lago?
00:22:57.240 FBI, MM, EM, and OSCs will be prepared to engage with F. POTUS
00:23:04.000 and U.S. Secret Service security teams.
00:23:07.020 So prepare to engage.
00:23:08.720 Should U.S. Secret Service provide resistance
00:23:11.960 or interfere with FBI timeline or accesses,
00:23:17.380 FBI, MM, EM will engage with,
00:23:20.400 and it's blocked out, we don't know what it is,
00:23:22.480 and blocked out, blocked out,
00:23:25.920 will engage with U.S. Secret Service's point of contact
00:23:29.460 per existing liaison relationships.
00:23:33.260 Should Mar-a-Lago guest reception
00:23:35.440 be unwilling to provide a list of occupied guest rooms,
00:23:40.380 FBI search team will knock on each guest room door
00:23:44.440 to determine occupation status.
00:23:46.760 FBI will request a map, list of rooms,
00:23:51.140 and skeleton key slash card for all rooms from Mar-a-Lago staff.
00:23:55.760 Five, an FBI MM slash TTA
00:23:58.720 with lock picking equipment will be on the scene.
00:24:03.080 So they're anticipating Secret Service may actively resist the FBI,
00:24:07.900 and they're prepared to engage,
00:24:10.800 and they're prepared to engage with an order
00:24:12.660 that explicitly authorizes deadly force.
00:24:15.580 Like, what in the hell?
00:24:18.040 Canadian women are looking for more.
00:24:20.260 More out of themselves, their businesses,
00:24:22.220 their elected leaders, and the world around them.
00:24:24.380 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce
00:24:26.020 the Honest Talk podcast.
00:24:28.140 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:24:29.300 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:24:30.540 And in this podcast,
00:24:31.680 we interview Canada's most inspiring women.
00:24:34.260 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers,
00:24:37.860 all at different stages of their journey.
00:24:39.740 So, if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:24:43.260 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio
00:24:45.660 or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:24:49.040 Let's remind people of Merrick Garland's own words.
00:24:52.620 He was very proud of this raid.
00:24:55.840 In August of 2022,
00:24:58.360 he went out there,
00:24:59.740 Justice Department,
00:25:00.920 you know, insignia behind him,
00:25:03.820 the Justice Department flag to his left,
00:25:06.640 the American flag to his right,
00:25:08.260 and he told the world in a live report,
00:25:11.660 everyone carried it, this.
00:25:15.060 There are, however, certain points I want you to know.
00:25:19.300 First, I personally approved the decision
00:25:22.460 to seek a search warrant in this matter.
00:25:26.020 Second, the department does not take such a decision lightly.
00:25:31.040 Clearly not, Senator,
00:25:32.260 because they were planning for the use of deadly force
00:25:34.580 to possibly be used.
00:25:35.780 First, so let me give a caveat,
00:25:39.180 defending this in a tiny respect,
00:25:41.340 and then let me take that caveat away.
00:25:43.600 The caveat I would give is
00:25:45.620 this sort of authorization,
00:25:47.840 an authorization of use of deadly force,
00:25:50.060 is standard when the FBI
00:25:52.280 is exercising a search warrant.
00:25:54.740 Look, if you're exercising a search warrant
00:25:56.960 in any context,
00:25:58.120 if you're going to a drug dealer's house
00:26:00.700 or something else,
00:26:01.880 there is a risk of armed resistance,
00:26:04.380 and so an authorization of deadly force
00:26:07.060 is typical with a search warrant.
00:26:11.380 That's the caveat.
00:26:13.000 Now I'm going to take back
00:26:14.040 every syllable of every word
00:26:15.100 of what I just said.
00:26:16.820 Holy crap,
00:26:17.740 this was the President of the United States!
00:26:19.980 Are you out of your mind?
00:26:21.840 Like, this is,
00:26:25.560 and for Merrick Garland to say,
00:26:27.300 I personally approved it.
00:26:29.860 The absolute hubris of this administration.
00:26:34.220 Listen, Merrick Garland is drunk with power,
00:26:36.840 he believes he should be on the Supreme Court,
00:26:38.820 and he is engaged in a global revenge tour
00:26:42.360 against everyone he thinks who wronged him.
00:26:46.120 But, is there no judgment
00:26:48.700 on the part of the Attorney General?
00:26:50.860 Is there no judgment
00:26:51.660 on the part of the Deputy Attorney General?
00:26:53.660 Is there no judgment
00:26:54.480 on the part of any advisors
00:26:56.620 anywhere at DOJ?
00:26:57.920 Is there no judgment
00:26:58.700 on the part of the head of the FBI?
00:27:00.820 Is there no judgment
00:27:01.520 on the part of anyone involved
00:27:03.660 in this process
00:27:04.460 to say, you know,
00:27:06.060 this guy was the President
00:27:08.680 of the United States.
00:27:10.160 Secret Service is guarding him
00:27:14.560 for a reason.
00:27:16.480 Yeah.
00:27:17.300 Maybe we should not
00:27:19.200 be authorizing deadly force.
00:27:22.500 Like, can you imagine,
00:27:24.420 listen, the odds...
00:27:26.200 Well, can I ask you this,
00:27:26.600 the chain of command,
00:27:27.680 just for people to understand this,
00:27:29.520 Merrick Garland's over the FBI,
00:27:31.020 but also, isn't he over
00:27:32.700 the Secret Service as well?
00:27:34.580 Is that not under his, the DOJ?
00:27:36.480 No, no, actually,
00:27:37.140 Secret Service reports,
00:27:38.160 so they're in different silos.
00:27:42.160 So, but wouldn't he be talking
00:27:44.040 or realizing that he's setting them up
00:27:45.840 for a war?
00:27:48.160 You know, I don't know.
00:27:50.620 And listen, it is difficult to imagine.
00:27:53.200 Look, who knows what happens?
00:27:55.320 But the idea that, okay,
00:27:57.360 if Secret Service resists,
00:27:58.840 you guys go.
00:28:00.400 Like, there is no sense,
00:28:02.960 and this reminds me,
00:28:05.540 back at the beginning
00:28:06.500 of Crossfire Hurricane,
00:28:07.580 Crossfire Hurricane,
00:28:08.540 you remember,
00:28:08.960 was the DOJ and FBI
00:28:10.660 targeting the Trump campaign
00:28:12.160 back when he was a candidate.
00:28:14.020 They went after him,
00:28:14.900 and they went in
00:28:15.560 and wiretapped him,
00:28:16.500 and they went after Carter Page,
00:28:18.160 and they created
00:28:18.980 fraudulent documents
00:28:20.120 that they used
00:28:20.700 to get a warrant
00:28:21.300 from the FISA court.
00:28:22.260 I mean, it was a grotesque
00:28:23.620 abuse of power
00:28:25.380 that the Department of Justice
00:28:26.640 Inspector General
00:28:27.540 detailed
00:28:28.240 in very painstaking detail.
00:28:32.580 And the media gave cover
00:28:33.880 because they said
00:28:34.620 Donald Trump was crazy
00:28:35.820 to imply that he was
00:28:37.440 being spied on,
00:28:38.400 his campaign was being spied on,
00:28:39.680 they said he was a lunatic.
00:28:41.440 In fact, he was right
00:28:42.360 the entire time.
00:28:42.920 He was exactly right.
00:28:44.240 But, look,
00:28:46.000 when you go back
00:28:47.100 to the launch
00:28:47.640 of Crossfire Hurricane,
00:28:48.660 part of the problem,
00:28:49.620 and this goes to DOJ
00:28:51.520 during Obama
00:28:52.360 when this all started,
00:28:53.680 and FBI during Obama,
00:28:55.840 there were no adults
00:28:57.000 in the room.
00:28:57.980 Listen,
00:28:58.560 there are circumstances
00:29:00.040 you can imagine
00:29:01.000 where a criminal investigation,
00:29:04.580 a search warrant,
00:29:05.340 a prosecution
00:29:05.960 has to be authorized
00:29:06.920 against a high-level
00:29:08.620 government official.
00:29:10.420 But especially
00:29:11.460 when that high-level official
00:29:12.780 is in the opposing party,
00:29:15.040 especially when that
00:29:16.100 high-level official
00:29:16.920 is the leading candidate
00:29:19.460 for the opposing party
00:29:21.340 and the likely opponent
00:29:23.120 for the sitting president,
00:29:24.400 when you're going after
00:29:25.640 your political opposition,
00:29:26.780 the threshold
00:29:28.480 for anything
00:29:29.980 should be
00:29:31.720 extraordinarily high.
00:29:34.720 And it wasn't at all.
00:29:37.080 Based on some ridiculous
00:29:39.320 half-baked
00:29:41.360 oppo research
00:29:42.500 paid for by
00:29:43.320 the Hillary Clinton campaign
00:29:44.600 that contained
00:29:46.400 the notorious
00:29:47.360 pee tape
00:29:47.980 and all that nonsense,
00:29:49.120 which has all been debunked.
00:29:50.240 We now know
00:29:50.700 it was all made up.
00:29:51.920 But, look,
00:29:52.460 when the Hillary Clinton campaign
00:29:53.680 pays over a million bucks
00:29:54.840 to make up oppo research,
00:29:56.220 they come up
00:29:57.080 with some creative stuff.
00:29:58.960 When you look at this,
00:30:00.580 this is going to be,
00:30:01.580 and it has to be,
00:30:02.260 I would assume,
00:30:03.000 a major campaign issue,
00:30:05.060 especially in the
00:30:05.860 presidential campaign.
00:30:07.260 I can't imagine
00:30:08.120 this not coming up
00:30:08.940 in the presidential debates.
00:30:10.420 But there also seems
00:30:11.520 to be panic
00:30:12.380 right now
00:30:13.620 in response to this.
00:30:15.520 Jim Comey
00:30:16.600 went on MSNBC
00:30:18.820 and said this.
00:30:21.020 Take a listen.
00:30:22.480 Are you concerned
00:30:23.380 that it may get
00:30:24.140 a test
00:30:25.700 unlike any other
00:30:26.700 if Donald Trump
00:30:27.520 is reelected?
00:30:28.420 I mean,
00:30:28.560 when you think
00:30:29.200 about a second
00:30:29.760 Trump administration,
00:30:31.120 what do you think
00:30:31.640 the implications
00:30:32.220 would be for the FBI?
00:30:34.320 Oh, serious.
00:30:35.460 For the Justice Department
00:30:36.560 and the FBI
00:30:37.200 because Trump is coming
00:30:38.420 for those institutions.
00:30:40.000 He knows their power
00:30:40.900 and I think he has regrets
00:30:41.940 that he didn't work hard enough
00:30:43.180 to corrupt them last time.
00:30:44.680 So he's coming for them
00:30:46.060 and that's a danger
00:30:46.820 for all Americans.
00:30:48.540 He's going to put people
00:30:49.300 in positions
00:30:50.020 in those organizations.
00:30:51.620 He didn't have
00:30:52.400 all-stars the last time.
00:30:53.620 He'll have the bottom
00:30:54.260 of the barrel this time
00:30:55.340 but people who will want
00:30:56.560 to do his will
00:30:57.440 and that should worry
00:30:58.280 every American.
00:30:59.780 This election matters
00:31:00.940 because of a reason
00:31:02.100 like that.
00:31:02.900 People have to participate.
00:31:05.080 You cannot sit
00:31:05.880 on the sideline.
00:31:07.180 I don't care how you feel
00:31:07.920 about Joe Biden.
00:31:08.840 You must vote for him
00:31:10.040 because the consequences
00:31:11.140 on the other side
00:31:12.060 are too severe.
00:31:13.500 I don't care how you feel
00:31:14.440 about Joe Biden.
00:31:15.260 You must vote for him.
00:31:16.220 That's the former FBI director
00:31:17.580 saying that, Senator.
00:31:18.380 Well, and when he talks
00:31:20.940 about corrupting the FBI,
00:31:22.440 I will say, you know,
00:31:23.520 listen, I would admit
00:31:24.440 Jim Comey as an expert witness
00:31:26.480 in any trial on the planet
00:31:27.640 on corrupting the FBI
00:31:28.660 because he was front and center.
00:31:30.340 He did exactly that.
00:31:31.800 He was the point person
00:31:32.920 behind weaponizing the FBI.
00:31:35.220 Jim Comey is someone
00:31:36.120 who fancies himself,
00:31:37.340 I believe, to be
00:31:38.240 J. Edgar Hoover.
00:31:39.320 He had delusions of power.
00:31:40.960 It is one of the gravest mistakes
00:31:43.360 of the first term
00:31:44.800 of the Trump presidency
00:31:45.800 that Trump did not fire
00:31:49.160 Jim Comey on January 20th, 2017.
00:31:52.860 The first day in office,
00:31:54.140 he should have said,
00:31:54.940 thank you for your service
00:31:55.580 to the nation.
00:31:56.160 Your services are no longer needed.
00:31:57.620 Nobody would have blinked.
00:31:58.940 But the White House foolishly thought
00:32:01.340 they could get Comey
00:32:03.080 to be part of the administration,
00:32:05.740 to do his job,
00:32:06.960 to not be a disloyal,
00:32:09.140 power-hungry snake.
00:32:11.100 And they were wrong.
00:32:13.620 He's continuing to do that.
00:32:15.100 And by the way,
00:32:15.940 let's understand,
00:32:16.700 there's an enormous amount
00:32:17.960 of CYA in Comey
00:32:19.760 in that he's very afraid
00:32:20.960 if they have accountability
00:32:21.860 at the FBI
00:32:22.820 that his personal rear end
00:32:26.100 is in the sling.
00:32:27.260 And so that's,
00:32:28.300 he's like,
00:32:28.780 please, please, please,
00:32:29.680 make sure you put people
00:32:30.680 in power that cover up for me
00:32:32.600 and that continue
00:32:33.200 the corruption of the FBI
00:32:34.300 and continue weaponizing it
00:32:35.460 to attack their enemies
00:32:36.300 because that's what I did
00:32:37.580 and I don't want to be held
00:32:38.820 for account.
00:32:39.480 That's among the most
00:32:40.500 self-interested testimony
00:32:42.180 I've ever heard.
00:32:43.040 Third, final question on this,
00:32:45.200 now knowing what we know
00:32:46.740 about the raid,
00:32:48.420 is it warranted
00:32:50.360 and justifiable
00:32:51.640 if Donald Trump
00:32:52.920 is elected again
00:32:54.300 for him to go in
00:32:55.860 and thoroughly clean house
00:32:57.680 in these institutions?
00:32:59.880 Warranted, justifiable,
00:33:01.700 and incredibly necessary.
00:33:03.820 What has happened
00:33:04.920 is we have
00:33:05.660 hardcore partisans
00:33:07.440 who have corrupted
00:33:09.340 these institutions
00:33:10.240 from the inside.
00:33:11.360 They occupy senior positions
00:33:13.040 in the career bureaucracy
00:33:14.800 and if Trump is re-elected,
00:33:17.580 and I hope and pray
00:33:18.200 that he is,
00:33:19.800 he needs to appoint
00:33:21.020 serious, strong leaders
00:33:22.840 at DOJ,
00:33:23.780 at the FBI,
00:33:24.500 and the rest of the alphabet soup
00:33:25.800 of the administration
00:33:27.020 who understand
00:33:27.600 what they're doing,
00:33:28.360 who have the seriousness
00:33:29.100 of purpose
00:33:29.700 to go in
00:33:30.620 and clean them out
00:33:32.520 because we need
00:33:33.480 to restore the institution.
00:33:34.800 Listen, there are some,
00:33:37.000 some Republicans,
00:33:38.160 some conservatives
00:33:38.740 that say things like
00:33:39.780 abolish the FBI.
00:33:41.600 I'm not in that camp.
00:33:43.520 Why?
00:33:44.120 Because the FBI
00:33:45.100 is enormously important.
00:33:47.340 The FBI does
00:33:48.260 hugely important things
00:33:49.980 like finding
00:33:50.840 and catching terrorists
00:33:51.860 and stopping them
00:33:52.660 from killing Americans.
00:33:53.900 It does hugely important things
00:33:55.420 like finding kidnappers
00:33:56.600 and child predators
00:33:57.820 and going after the mafia
00:34:00.080 and mobsters
00:34:00.740 and going after
00:34:01.480 Mexican drug cartels.
00:34:03.080 Like, all of that
00:34:04.080 is really damn important.
00:34:06.100 And I don't want
00:34:07.140 to blow that up.
00:34:08.820 What I want to do
00:34:09.920 is restore
00:34:10.940 the integrity
00:34:11.800 of the FBI
00:34:12.600 and the DOJ
00:34:13.560 by getting the partisans
00:34:15.340 out of office
00:34:16.400 who have corrupted it.
00:34:17.880 As you know,
00:34:18.480 Chris Wray,
00:34:19.060 the current director
00:34:19.780 of the FBI,
00:34:20.480 I've known for 25 years.
00:34:22.940 Chris,
00:34:23.900 interestingly,
00:34:24.680 Chris is not a liberal.
00:34:26.360 He's a Republican.
00:34:27.360 He still considers himself
00:34:28.340 a Republican to this day.
00:34:30.560 Chris's problem,
00:34:31.500 I believe,
00:34:31.960 is that he is a company man.
00:34:33.160 Now look,
00:34:33.380 Donald Trump put him
00:34:34.200 in that position.
00:34:34.860 He appointed him
00:34:35.400 to that position.
00:34:36.960 Chris is a company man
00:34:38.480 and he and I
00:34:39.380 have had screaming arguments
00:34:40.740 on this
00:34:41.340 where he believes
00:34:43.120 it is his job
00:34:44.140 as administrator
00:34:44.820 of the FBI,
00:34:45.580 director of the FBI,
00:34:46.640 to defend
00:34:48.100 the career leaders
00:34:50.220 at the FBI.
00:34:51.200 And I've told him,
00:34:51.820 Chris,
00:34:52.120 you are not defending
00:34:53.200 the institution
00:34:53.960 of the FBI
00:34:54.600 if you support people
00:34:56.540 who are corrupting it
00:34:57.520 and destroying its integrity.
00:34:59.160 What does it tell you
00:35:00.320 that half of America
00:35:01.260 doesn't trust
00:35:02.000 the institution anymore
00:35:03.100 because you've been
00:35:04.280 so politicized
00:35:05.400 and he has proven
00:35:07.740 utterly incapable
00:35:08.740 of seeing it
00:35:09.620 and even less capable
00:35:11.380 of taking it on
00:35:12.260 and stopping it.
00:35:13.260 So if you're like me
00:35:14.560 and you love to go shooting,
00:35:15.940 you're a hunter,
00:35:16.820 maybe you just like
00:35:17.460 to practice shooting,
00:35:18.880 you know what happened
00:35:19.760 over the last couple years
00:35:20.620 with a massive shortage
00:35:22.040 when it came to ammunition.
00:35:23.520 Well, how would you like
00:35:24.880 to know that when
00:35:25.540 the next run on ammo happens,
00:35:27.240 you don't have to worry
00:35:28.680 about being out of ammo
00:35:30.140 or paying double,
00:35:31.480 triple,
00:35:31.860 or quadruple
00:35:32.620 what it costs right now.
