00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.600 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.180 Welcome. It is Verdict with Ted Cruz,
00:00:07.360 The Weekend Review, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:09.760 And here are the big stories that you may have missed
00:00:12.020 that we talked about this week.
00:00:13.480 First up, we may be finding out a lot more
00:00:16.500 about what Harvard has been doing with your tax dollars.
00:00:20.500 This, the president has said,
00:00:21.980 we are going to stop sending money to Harvard
00:00:23.740 after some of their radical ideology
00:00:26.020 has been on full display,
00:00:27.680 including rewarding students with big grants
00:00:30.980 who went after Jewish students.
00:00:33.580 We'll have those details for you in just a second.
00:00:36.400 Also, NPR.
00:00:38.200 Are we going to defund them?
00:00:39.720 It looks like there's a very good chance
00:00:41.860 NPR may have to stand on their own two legs
00:00:44.280 for the first time ever.
00:00:46.080 Why will this happen and what could it mean
00:00:48.200 for your tax dollars?
00:00:49.820 And finally, Planned Parenthood
00:00:52.060 in an undercover sting operation
00:00:54.320 is exposed for prescribing hormones
00:00:57.500 for minors when it comes to
00:01:00.400 with gender affirming care.
00:01:03.620 It's The Weekend Review
00:01:04.880 and it starts right now.
00:01:06.840 As they fight this final question,
00:01:09.300 is there an opportunity
00:01:10.940 through this legal challenge
00:01:12.680 for us to even be able to find out
00:01:15.020 more about what Harvard is doing?
00:01:16.840 Is that part of what could happen?
00:01:18.400 And the upside here is,
00:01:19.820 hey, we get to ask more questions.
00:01:21.120 We get to see more behind the books.
00:01:22.840 We get to see more of the propaganda
00:01:24.440 that we are talking about right now.
00:01:25.940 Well, that is absolutely right.
00:01:29.800 And I'm going to say the facts
00:01:31.040 are going to get worse and worse
00:01:32.160 as they come out.
00:01:33.040 Harvard doesn't want people to know the facts.
00:01:35.520 So, for example,
00:01:36.820 there were a whole series of stories
00:01:40.320 that came out about the Harvard Law Review.
00:01:42.160 Now, what is the Harvard Law Review?
00:01:43.360 The Harvard Law Review is a legal journal
00:01:44.940 that's at Harvard Law School
00:01:45.960 that has 80 students who are student editors.
00:01:50.360 And getting on the Law Review
00:01:51.480 is incredibly prestigious.
00:01:53.740 It is incredibly difficult to do.
00:01:56.440 Typical Harvard Law School class
00:01:57.920 is about 560 people.
00:01:59.460 So you have about 40 people out of 560
00:02:01.460 that make it on the class,
00:02:02.720 make it on the Law Review.
00:02:03.880 When I was there,
00:02:04.700 I was on the Law Review.
00:02:06.040 When I was there,
00:02:07.760 roughly half of the editors
00:02:09.280 on the Law Review
00:02:10.020 made it from a combination of grades
00:02:13.480 and a week-long,
00:02:16.360 incredibly arduous writing competition.
00:02:19.600 Another roughly half made it
00:02:21.560 from purely the writing competition.
00:02:23.420 But when I say roughly half,
00:02:25.100 at the time,
00:02:26.000 it was 32 were grades in writing,
00:02:28.240 32 were just writing,
00:02:29.760 and then eight were reserved
00:02:31.320 for affirmative action.
00:02:32.340 That's when I was there.
00:02:33.800 Now, by all appearances,
00:02:35.120 it has gotten much worse.
00:02:36.440 It was brazen then.
00:02:37.540 It was racially discriminatory then.
00:02:39.760 But it is now much worse.
00:02:41.720 The Harvard Law Review now
00:02:43.800 uses race explicitly
00:02:46.720 to, number one,
00:02:48.620 select their editors.
00:02:50.400 And by the way,
00:02:50.920 becoming an editor at the Law Review
00:02:52.300 increases your chances
00:02:54.060 of getting a judicial clerkship
00:02:55.440 dramatically,
00:02:56.240 increases your chances
00:02:57.180 of getting a Supreme Court clerkship
00:02:59.360 dramatically,
00:03:00.420 increases your chances
00:03:01.500 of getting hired
00:03:02.420 by a big prestigious law firm
00:03:03.860 that pays lots of money
00:03:04.780 dramatically,
00:03:06.180 increases your chances
00:03:07.280 of becoming a professor
00:03:08.500 at a prestigious university
00:03:10.400 dramatically.
00:03:11.060 So the Law Review
00:03:11.860 is a major gateway
00:03:13.480 to elite success
00:03:15.440 in the legal world.
00:03:17.060 And the Harvard Law Review
00:03:18.160 now, in writing,
00:03:19.120 they are quite open
00:03:20.020 in saying that
00:03:22.000 they will discriminate
00:03:23.160 for editors
00:03:24.960 based on race,
00:03:26.120 and they will also discriminate
00:03:28.220 on the articles they pick.
00:03:30.200 So, for example,
00:03:31.500 in a 2024 memo,
00:03:33.580 one journal article
00:03:34.940 argued that the fact
00:03:36.060 that the author was,
00:03:37.300 quote,
00:03:37.780 not from an underrepresented
00:03:39.480 background was a negative
00:03:40.920 when it came to evaluating
00:03:42.720 the piece for publication.
00:03:44.860 There is a, quote,
00:03:46.540 holistic review committee
00:03:48.280 which now selects
00:03:50.100 nearly half the student editors
00:03:52.020 and has made the inclusion
00:03:54.240 of, quote,
00:03:55.120 underrepresented groups
00:03:56.600 its first priority.
00:03:59.160 So, to be clear,
00:04:00.580 what you're saying is...
00:04:01.580 Violates Title VI.
00:04:02.940 So, to be clear,
00:04:03.720 you're saying
00:04:04.540 there's a chance now
00:04:05.700 that if you were at Harvard
00:04:06.680 you wouldn't get picked?
00:04:07.740 Is that what you're telling me?
00:04:10.480 You know,
00:04:11.340 I don't know,
00:04:12.340 and you don't know...
00:04:13.580 So, I say that
00:04:15.680 what's interesting about it
00:04:16.840 is you genuinely don't know.
00:04:18.340 It was one of the things
00:04:19.160 that they're very clever
00:04:20.480 in how they discriminate
00:04:21.340 because you don't know
00:04:22.440 on what basis
00:04:23.220 you were admitted.
00:04:24.740 I had the grades
00:04:25.820 to get in on grades
00:04:26.860 and I think I did well
00:04:28.600 in the writing competition
00:04:29.580 but I have no idea
00:04:31.040 which of the slots I was in
00:04:32.320 because nobody does.
00:04:33.140 They don't tell you.
00:04:34.120 They just announce
00:04:35.040 the 40 editors
00:04:35.860 that have gotten in.
00:04:37.600 So, I don't know
00:04:38.620 but I'll tell you
00:04:39.240 a story I've told before.
00:04:41.400 So, when I was
00:04:42.340 on the Law Review
00:04:43.460 there were a number
00:04:44.300 of conservative editors
00:04:45.140 and we made a run
00:04:46.300 at ending affirmative action
00:04:48.380 in the Law Review.
00:04:50.120 And I have to admit
00:04:51.000 I sat back
00:04:52.820 we were all
00:04:53.680 80 of us were gathered
00:04:54.680 in a classroom
00:04:55.900 and we were debating this
00:04:57.560 and there were
00:04:58.700 some other students
00:04:59.360 that were really
00:04:59.820 kind of leading the charge
00:05:00.780 some other conservatives
00:05:01.600 I agreed with them
00:05:03.460 but I also could count votes
00:05:04.960 and out of the 80 students
00:05:07.400 there were maybe
00:05:08.040 8 or 10 of us
00:05:08.980 that were conservatives
00:05:09.720 we were a tiny minority
00:05:11.000 so I was like
00:05:11.700 look, we ain't gonna win the vote
00:05:13.620 but alright, this is fine
00:05:14.460 let's have the debate.
00:05:15.720 So, we're having the debate
00:05:16.620 and I was sitting in the back
00:05:17.680 it was fairly quiet
00:05:18.560 and I remember
00:05:20.120 this one supercilious liberal
00:05:22.280 stood up and said
00:05:24.520 if we eliminate
00:05:26.760 affirmative action
00:05:27.760 the Harvard Law Review
00:05:29.840 will be nothing
00:05:31.160 but white men
00:05:33.160 and I have to admit
00:05:35.320 I was kind of
00:05:35.920 a little bit checked out
00:05:36.840 in the back of the room
00:05:37.440 and I heard that
00:05:38.080 and that pissed me off
00:05:39.440 and I said
00:05:40.460 you know what
00:05:40.920 you want to understand
00:05:41.740 why affirmative action
00:05:42.780 is so insidious
00:05:43.840 the arrogance
00:05:45.380 of that imbecile
00:05:46.720 just showed it
00:05:47.560 his belief
00:05:49.200 as an enlightened leftist
00:05:50.700 is that if merit
00:05:52.680 were the only criterion
00:05:53.900 only white men
00:05:55.280 would get in
00:05:55.920 that no one
00:05:57.240 who is African American
00:05:58.160 would get in
00:05:58.720 no one who is
00:05:59.500 Hispanic
00:06:00.100 and let's be clear
00:06:01.340 I'm Hispanic
00:06:02.520 he's sitting there
00:06:03.640 and in fact
00:06:04.060 I told him
00:06:04.640 I said
00:06:04.980 alright big guy
00:06:05.880 you want to pull
00:06:06.380 your transcript out
00:06:07.360 and my transcript
00:06:08.060 and drop them
00:06:08.580 on the table
00:06:09.040 right there
00:06:09.560 let's see
00:06:11.120 what pure merit
00:06:12.240 produces
00:06:12.800 but there was
00:06:14.720 something even more
00:06:16.120 dripping in his
00:06:18.140 leftist condescension
00:06:19.220 which is at the time
00:06:21.680 the Harvard
00:06:22.440 affirmative action
00:06:23.280 program did not
00:06:24.340 include gender
00:06:25.160 so there was not
00:06:26.840 affirmative action
00:06:27.640 for women
00:06:28.420 and I said to all
00:06:29.520 the women editors
00:06:30.100 do you hear what
00:06:30.500 he just said to you
00:06:31.260 he believes
00:06:32.800 if it's pure merit
00:06:33.900 no women would make it
00:06:35.840 and by the way
00:06:36.940 historically
00:06:37.500 all the women editors
00:06:38.460 who were liberals
00:06:39.180 voted against
00:06:40.480 adding gender
00:06:41.340 to affirmative action
00:06:42.300 because they recognized
00:06:43.440 that if it was
00:06:44.320 added to it
00:06:45.320 that people
00:06:47.520 it would devalue
00:06:48.720 what they had accomplished
00:06:49.720 but it showed
00:06:51.060 the just
00:06:51.640 the
00:06:52.440 absolute
00:06:54.400 arrogance
00:06:55.360 of the left
00:06:56.280 when it comes
00:06:56.960 to embracing racism
00:06:58.200 because at the end
00:06:59.380 of the day
00:06:59.860 they look down
00:07:01.420 on the poor
00:07:02.520 benighted people
00:07:03.460 that will only
00:07:04.720 succeed in life
00:07:05.800 with their beneficence
00:07:07.220 and by the way
00:07:08.200 the price for that
00:07:09.000 beneficence
00:07:09.600 is for them to be
00:07:10.680 loyal and obedient
00:07:12.340 for the rest
00:07:12.960 of their lives
00:07:13.580 I mean that is
00:07:14.260 the very explicit
00:07:15.260 left wing
00:07:16.080 charter
00:07:17.580 that affirmative action
00:07:19.360 is based on
00:07:19.980 which brings us
00:07:21.100 to another story
00:07:21.980 where this stuff
00:07:22.880 started on college campuses
00:07:24.280 and now it's made
00:07:25.320 our way into courtrooms
00:07:26.640 the Tesla arson suspect
00:07:29.480 one of them
00:07:30.780 and there's a lot
00:07:31.340 of them out there
00:07:31.860 right
00:07:32.100 but this one specifically
00:07:33.300 and we'll get to the story
00:07:34.820 of what happened
00:07:35.780 here in a second
00:07:36.360 but has been
00:07:37.300 quote released
00:07:38.480 because of
00:07:40.600 gender transition
00:07:42.360 would be at risk
00:07:43.880 if they didn't release
00:07:45.020 so if you're going
00:07:46.040 to jail
00:07:46.660 just say you're
00:07:48.060 doing a gender transition
00:07:49.420 and apparently
00:07:50.060 then the law
00:07:50.700 cannot hold you
00:07:51.440 accountable
00:07:51.840 for your terrorist
00:07:52.760 actions
00:07:53.300 so there's an
00:07:55.000 individual named
00:07:55.680 Owen McIntyre
00:07:56.640 who was on
00:07:58.000 spring break
00:07:58.660 in Missouri
00:07:59.220 and he
00:08:00.900 firebombed
00:08:02.880 two Tesla
00:08:03.760 cyber trucks
00:08:04.540 he threw
00:08:04.900 Molotov cocktails
00:08:05.960 he firebombed
00:08:07.320 it
00:08:07.460 he got caught
00:08:08.520 and he was charged
00:08:10.060 charged with
00:08:10.660 domestic terrorism
00:08:11.500 and then what happened
00:08:13.480 is his federal
00:08:14.200 public defender
00:08:15.000 argued
00:08:15.540 that
00:08:16.620 going to jail
00:08:18.140 will disrupt
00:08:19.700 his gender
00:08:20.900 affirming
00:08:21.580 medical care
00:08:22.520 which began
00:08:23.540 in March of this year
00:08:24.640 and is likely
00:08:25.200 to be interrupted
00:08:25.880 or terminated
00:08:26.500 entirely
00:08:27.060 if he remains
00:08:28.300 in pretrial
00:08:29.200 detention
00:08:29.740 and the federal
00:08:31.220 magistrate judge
00:08:32.220 bought that argument
00:08:33.340 and let him go
00:08:34.740 and let me say
00:08:36.220 one of the
00:08:37.000 craziest things
00:08:38.980 about this story
00:08:39.820 you and I
00:08:41.600 Ben
00:08:41.880 spent 20 minutes
00:08:43.220 trying to figure out
00:08:44.460 if this defendant
00:08:45.980 is male or female
00:08:48.100 by the way
00:08:48.660 he's not lying
00:08:50.220 I want to be clear
00:08:50.880 about that
00:08:51.320 we literally are
00:08:52.040 googling everything
00:08:52.700 like is it
00:08:53.260 is a dude
00:08:54.520 is a chick
00:08:55.180 and we don't know
00:08:55.680 what it is
00:08:56.200 like that's the
00:08:56.980 insanity of the
00:08:57.540 world we live in
00:08:58.220 and we can't tell
00:09:00.400 and you and I
00:09:01.960 actually disagree
00:09:02.820 so I think
00:09:04.200 this is a person
00:09:05.200 who was born
00:09:05.960 female
00:09:06.500 who has decided
00:09:08.100 that she is a he
00:09:09.280 and wants to be a man
00:09:10.400 and the reason
00:09:11.760 I think that
00:09:12.560 the reason I think
00:09:13.900 that is we've googled it
00:09:15.060 and every damn story
00:09:16.840 uses he he he he he
00:09:18.360 and given the insane
00:09:20.500 Orwellian world
00:09:21.300 we live in
00:09:22.020 I think if ABC
00:09:23.520 is referring to this
00:09:24.500 person as a he
00:09:25.500 and the person
00:09:27.040 is transgender
00:09:27.840 that to me means
00:09:29.640 the person was born
00:09:31.020 a she
00:09:31.420 now your argument
00:09:33.140 is Ben
00:09:33.700 this is a dude
00:09:35.440 that grew out his hair
00:09:36.480 and looks like a chick
00:09:37.480 then why does all the
00:09:39.880 media refer to this
00:09:40.880 person as a he
00:09:41.600 I I
00:09:42.240 because I think
00:09:42.960 everybody's lost
00:09:43.740 their damn minds
00:09:44.500 that's what I think
00:09:45.420 and I think
00:09:45.940 I mean
00:09:46.400 and the fact that
00:09:47.380 we even are at the
00:09:48.500 point where we have
00:09:49.180 to have this discussion
00:09:50.180 tells you how insane
00:09:52.000 the world is
00:09:52.920 you literally
00:09:54.920 every story
00:09:56.460 I clicked on
00:09:57.120 I googled it
00:09:57.840 and clicked on
00:09:58.580 story after story
00:09:59.520 and there's not
00:10:00.140 one that actually
00:10:01.840 describes the facts
00:10:03.180 one way or the other
00:10:03.920 so damned if I know
00:10:05.060 but either way
00:10:06.820 look the federal
00:10:08.680 prosecutors argue
00:10:09.740 this person is a
00:10:10.580 domestic terrorist
00:10:11.500 they're throwing
00:10:12.520 Molotov cocktails
00:10:13.660 and and it is
00:10:15.920 it is woke
00:10:18.200 politics taken
00:10:19.460 to the level
00:10:20.000 of insanity
00:10:20.720 that that that
00:10:22.220 to get a sex
00:10:23.000 change treatment
00:10:23.900 is now reason
00:10:25.560 to be forgiven
00:10:26.280 for domestic terrorism
00:10:27.300 although to be fair
00:10:28.000 it's not forgiven
00:10:29.200 it's released
00:10:29.860 from pre-trial detention
00:10:30.960 but it is still
00:10:31.820 insane
00:10:32.500 well but it's
00:10:33.540 it's helping you
00:10:34.260 right it's helping
00:10:34.860 you not be held
00:10:35.740 accountable for
00:10:36.500 your actions
00:10:37.280 and it's also
00:10:38.560 I think pretty clear
00:10:39.740 that we're saying
00:10:40.800 if you want to not
00:10:42.220 be held accountable
00:10:42.860 for your actions
00:10:43.620 just claim something
00:10:45.340 that's woke
00:10:46.020 and and these
00:10:46.940 radical judges
00:10:47.920 will be like
00:10:48.280 oh we totally
00:10:49.220 understand
00:10:49.700 let's just
00:10:51.100 change the rules
00:10:51.920 for you
00:10:52.340 because you're
00:10:53.040 in our
00:10:53.400 you're in our
00:10:54.080 special protected
00:10:55.100 class
00:10:55.580 and we want to
00:10:56.180 see you succeed
00:10:57.040 in your transgenderism
00:10:58.500 which is not
00:10:59.540 supposed to be
00:11:00.120 the job of the court
00:11:01.220 well I gotta say
00:11:02.860 this this insanity
00:11:04.060 is a big part
00:11:05.580 of the reason
00:11:06.000 Donald Trump won
00:11:07.020 in November
00:11:07.860 and we got a
00:11:08.660 Republican House
00:11:09.420 and a Republican Senate
00:11:10.300 because I think
00:11:10.700 a lot of people
00:11:11.300 are looking at this
00:11:12.420 and saying
00:11:12.780 this stuff is crazy
00:11:13.680 now if you want
00:11:14.760 to hear the rest
00:11:15.500 of this conversation
00:11:16.520 you can go back
00:11:17.520 and listen to
00:11:18.040 the full podcast
00:11:19.100 from earlier this week
00:11:20.340 Canadian women
00:11:21.820 are looking for more
00:11:22.880 more of themselves
00:11:24.000 their businesses
00:11:24.820 their elected leaders
00:11:25.940 and the world
00:11:26.680 around them
00:11:27.160 and that's why
00:11:27.780 we're thrilled
00:11:28.300 to introduce
00:11:28.940 the Honest Talk
00:11:29.980 podcast
00:11:30.440 I'm Jennifer Stewart
00:11:31.980 and I'm Katherine Clark
00:11:33.200 and in this podcast
00:11:34.280 we interview Canada's
00:11:35.580 most inspiring women
00:11:36.880 entrepreneurs
00:11:37.460 artists
00:11:38.340 athletes
00:11:39.000 politicians
00:11:39.640 and newsmakers
00:11:40.520 all at different stages
00:11:41.840 of their journey
00:11:42.680 so if you're looking
00:11:44.000 to connect
00:11:44.540 then we hope
00:11:45.220 you'll join us
00:11:45.980 listen to the
00:11:46.620 Honest Talk
00:11:47.060 podcast
00:11:47.580 on iHeartRadio
00:11:48.580 or wherever you
00:11:49.340 listen to your podcasts
00:11:50.280 now on to story
00:11:53.240 number two
00:11:53.940 there may be
00:11:54.880 accountability
00:11:55.400 coming very
00:11:56.580 very soon
00:11:57.380 when it comes
00:11:58.580 to the issue
00:11:59.420 of NPR
00:12:00.380 this is something
00:12:02.040 that the president's
00:12:02.920 talked about a lot
00:12:03.920 taxpayers don't like it
00:12:05.820 it's been pretty obvious
00:12:07.720 that at NPR
00:12:08.680 in PBS
00:12:10.200 there's a lot
00:12:10.900 of our tax dollars
00:12:11.600 that are going
00:12:12.200 to activists
00:12:13.700 and to those
00:12:14.580 in the far left
00:12:15.560 that want to
00:12:16.460 indoctrinate people
00:12:17.740 through our tax dollars
00:12:19.820 and now
00:12:20.740 accountability
00:12:21.340 may be coming
00:12:22.080 to NPR
00:12:22.640 well that's right
00:12:23.840 so the president
00:12:24.600 signed an executive
00:12:25.500 order
00:12:25.920 ending the taxpayer
00:12:27.740 subsidy
00:12:28.320 of NPR
00:12:29.020 and PBS
00:12:29.620 both of which
00:12:31.080 received millions
00:12:31.980 from taxpayers
00:12:32.840 and they're just
00:12:34.400 partisan propaganda
00:12:36.180 outlets
00:12:36.760 the order
00:12:38.340 reads as follows
00:12:39.160 by the authority
00:12:39.800 vested in me
00:12:40.380 as president
00:12:40.860 by the constitution
00:12:41.960 and the laws
00:12:42.900 of the United States
00:12:43.600 it is hereby ordered
00:12:44.840 NPR
00:12:45.780 and PBS
00:12:46.280 they will
00:12:48.540 be shut down
00:12:49.780 from cash
00:12:50.420 and let me read
00:12:52.780 some facts
00:12:54.140 on NPR
00:12:54.700 so NPR
00:12:55.860 ran a story
00:12:57.500 entitled
00:12:58.620 quote
00:12:59.220 cannibalism
00:13:00.520 it's perfectly
00:13:01.820 natural
00:13:02.860 in which the author
00:13:04.540 like
00:13:05.540 by the way
00:13:06.540 how am I saying
00:13:07.160 this
00:13:07.320 how is this real
00:13:08.140 the author
00:13:09.320 describes
00:13:10.100 eating in others
00:13:11.120 humans
00:13:12.500 placenta
00:13:13.620 so let me
00:13:14.860 read this excerpt
00:13:15.760 this is from
00:13:16.440 an NPR story
00:13:17.440 in the book
00:13:18.440 you describe
00:13:19.540 getting invited
00:13:20.240 over for dinner
00:13:21.280 by one of your
00:13:22.100 sources
00:13:22.500 to eat
00:13:23.660 her placenta
00:13:25.000 how was that
00:13:26.380 was it good
00:13:27.700 yeah
00:13:28.520 it was really
00:13:29.840 the prep
00:13:30.380 that made it
00:13:30.840 taste good
00:13:31.440 granted
00:13:32.360 the husband
00:13:32.900 was a chef
00:13:33.600 so he knew
00:13:34.040 how to prepare
00:13:34.600 it osubuku style
00:13:35.660 and used
00:13:36.840 a really nice
00:13:37.600 wine I had bought
00:13:38.420 it smelled
00:13:39.660 great
00:13:40.140 it didn't taste
00:13:41.440 bad
00:13:41.860 I wouldn't do
00:13:43.060 it again
00:13:43.500 I don't have
00:13:44.700 any regrets
00:13:45.280 I did this
00:13:45.980 so
00:13:46.820 I just want
00:13:47.760 to go back
00:13:48.080 to the title
00:13:48.660 NPR
00:13:49.620 cannibalism
00:13:51.120 it's perfectly
00:13:52.460 natural
00:13:53.480 all right
00:13:54.220 in 2021
00:13:55.100 another story
00:13:56.060 NPR said
00:13:57.260 the declaration
00:13:57.860 of independence
00:13:58.700 was a document
00:14:00.420 with quote
00:14:01.220 flaws
00:14:02.200 and deeply
00:14:03.240 ingrained hypocrisies
00:14:04.660 here's what they wrote
00:14:05.440 the declaration
00:14:06.520 is a document
00:14:07.300 with flaws
00:14:07.860 and deeply
00:14:08.240 ingrained hypocrisies
00:14:09.280 it also laid
00:14:10.000 the foundation
00:14:10.640 for our collective
00:14:11.980 aspirations
00:14:12.660 our hope
00:14:13.280 for what
00:14:13.960 America could be
00:14:14.800 so in that spirit
00:14:16.520 here again
00:14:17.460 is the declaration
00:14:18.680 of independence
00:14:19.280 as read by the
00:14:20.040 NPR staff
00:14:20.800 so that was
00:14:21.720 2021
00:14:22.420 where they just
00:14:23.740 crapped on the
00:14:24.520 declaration of
00:14:25.160 independence
00:14:25.520 and then they read it
00:14:26.340 you know what they
00:14:27.020 did in 2022
00:14:27.760 what's that
00:14:29.300 they said
00:14:30.520 we're not going to
00:14:31.020 read the declaration
00:14:31.700 of independence
00:14:32.220 anymore
00:14:32.580 so it was a long
00:14:33.280 tradition
00:14:33.720 and in 2022
00:14:35.580 they tweeted
00:14:37.240 the following
00:14:37.800 this July 4th
00:14:39.420 we break
00:14:40.480 with tradition
00:14:41.500 instead of
00:14:43.000 reading the
00:14:43.480 declaration
00:14:43.800 of independence
00:14:44.560 we examine
00:14:46.140 what equality
00:14:47.020 means
00:14:47.680 and is meant
00:14:48.760 in this document
00:14:49.760 important segment
00:14:51.640 about our past
00:14:52.580 and future
00:14:53.240 that so
00:14:54.460 the declaration
00:14:55.080 of independence
00:14:55.680 is apparently
00:14:56.420 no longer
00:14:57.620 allowed on NPR
00:14:58.640 because
00:15:00.020 apparently
00:15:01.460 hating America
00:15:02.280 is NPR's
00:15:03.040 mission
00:15:03.340 yet again
00:15:04.480 your tax
00:15:05.000 dollar is hard
00:15:05.560 at work here
00:15:06.120 so there's
00:15:07.260 going to be
00:15:07.620 pushback
00:15:08.160 right
00:15:08.400 there's going
00:15:08.720 to be
00:15:08.900 fighting
00:15:09.220 here
00:15:09.560 ultimately
00:15:10.700 what are the
00:15:11.500 chances
00:15:11.900 that this
00:15:12.460 sticks
00:15:12.820 and that
00:15:13.080 we actually
00:15:13.520 say
00:15:13.880 hey
00:15:14.240 you're not
00:15:14.680 getting the
00:15:14.960 tax dollars
00:15:15.560 for this
00:15:16.220 radical agenda
00:15:16.980 that you're
00:15:17.360 pressing
00:15:17.760 and trying
00:15:18.800 to indoctrinate
00:15:19.560 on so many
00:15:20.060 people
00:15:20.420 so look
00:15:21.020 I am hopeful
00:15:22.340 I want it
00:15:24.200 to happen
00:15:24.580 I'm fighting
00:15:25.100 for it to happen
00:15:25.740 let me give you
00:15:26.620 another example
00:15:27.320 NPR
00:15:27.920 issued an
00:15:29.280 editor's note
00:15:30.120 warning that
00:15:31.480 the declaration
00:15:32.100 of independence
00:15:32.940 is quote
00:15:33.700 a document
00:15:35.100 that contains
00:15:36.120 offensive language
00:15:37.380 and here
00:15:38.040 this was in
00:15:38.640 2022
00:15:39.200 editor's note
00:15:40.360 on July 8th
00:15:41.180 2022
00:15:41.680 the story
00:15:42.960 quotes the
00:15:43.680 U.S.
00:15:44.040 Declaration of
00:15:44.720 Independence
00:15:45.160 a document
00:15:46.240 that contains
00:15:47.060 offensive language
00:15:48.460 about Native
00:15:49.020 Americans
00:15:49.640 including a
00:15:50.800 racial slur
00:15:51.580 that was
00:15:52.680 what they were
00:15:53.840 saying
00:15:54.100 the declaration
00:15:54.860 they find
00:15:55.820 offensive
00:15:56.340 in the
00:15:58.420 NPR
00:15:58.820 also in
00:15:59.840 2019
00:16:00.420 they apologized
00:16:02.160 for calling
00:16:03.620 illegal immigrants
00:16:04.560 illegal
00:16:05.520 and they
00:16:06.560 posted
00:16:06.960 quote
00:16:07.840 sorry
00:16:08.660 that was
00:16:09.020 a mistake
00:16:09.560 NPR's
00:16:10.640 policy
00:16:11.020 is not
00:16:11.420 to
00:16:11.600 characterize
00:16:12.040 people

00:21:22.540 have missed
00:21:23.040 senator in our
00:21:25.160 final segment i
00:21:26.280 want to talk about
00:21:27.220 something that is
00:21:28.120 shocking this is
00:21:29.140 exactly why we do
00:21:30.260 this show why we
00:21:31.120 do a podcast three
00:21:32.260 days a week and
00:21:33.620 and what you're
00:21:34.240 about to hear right
00:21:34.880 now i hope that
00:21:36.080 you will share it
00:21:37.100 grab the podcast

00:21:41.360 podcast wherever you
00:21:42.680 are on social media
00:21:43.400 this is why we do
00:21:44.460 the show to get
00:21:45.320 stories like this out
00:21:46.440 to the masses
00:21:47.060 this one deals
00:21:48.500 with a shocking
00:21:50.100 expose on
00:21:52.120 planned parenthood
00:21:53.120 they have now
00:21:54.240 been exposed for
00:21:55.460 prescribing hormones
00:21:57.420 to minors in an
00:21:59.160 undercover investigation
00:22:00.460 well that's right
00:22:02.480 planned parenthood was
00:22:03.380 caught in a sting and
00:22:04.660 and undercover phone
00:22:06.420 calls were made by the
00:22:07.860 pro-life activist group
00:22:09.100 live action and it
00:22:10.800 showed that that
00:22:11.820 planned parenthood
00:22:12.580 clinics across
00:22:13.660 multiple states
00:22:14.740 offer cross-sex
00:22:16.700 hormone treatments
00:22:17.740 to minors as
00:22:18.820 young as 17
00:22:19.600 with very little
00:22:21.360 parental supervision
00:22:22.380 and very little
00:22:23.220 medical supervision
00:22:24.260 live action did an
00:22:26.420 undercover investigation
00:22:27.200 in which a woman
00:22:28.500 posed as a 16 year
00:22:29.920 old minor and she
00:22:31.500 called dozens of
00:22:32.600 planned parenthood
00:22:33.240 locations seeking
00:22:34.460 what she called
00:22:35.420 gender affirming
00:22:36.320 care at least seven
00:22:38.960 different facilities
00:22:39.940 said sure they
00:22:41.720 would provide cross-sex
00:22:43.320 hormones at the
00:22:45.460 first appointment
00:22:46.540 so not after a long
00:22:48.460 consultation just
00:22:49.520 immediately first
00:22:50.540 appointment come on
00:22:51.720 in we'll give you
00:22:52.460 those hormones
00:22:53.120 several instances
00:22:54.100 planned parenthood
00:22:55.680 told the caller she
00:22:56.800 could choose to meet
00:22:58.440 with the provider
00:22:59.380 virtually and have
00:23:01.960 access to the cross-sex
00:23:04.380 hormones the very
00:23:06.100 same day and this is
00:23:08.760 after being told the
00:23:09.640 person is is a minor
00:23:10.780 and and that they
00:23:12.120 had just begun
00:23:12.980 considering trying to
00:23:14.840 medically change their
00:23:15.760 sex in in minnesota
00:23:17.740 and in oregon
00:23:18.840 facilities there said
00:23:20.080 they could schedule the
00:23:20.960 minor within days or
00:23:23.080 even on the very same
00:23:25.400 day this is what
00:23:27.020 planned parenthood is
00:23:27.880 doing five different
00:23:28.940 facilities stated that
00:23:31.080 no prior therapy
00:23:32.920 zero no mental health
00:23:34.820 clearance and no prior
00:23:36.700 documentation was needed
00:23:38.280 to obtain cross-sex
00:23:39.980 hormones and
00:23:40.560 understand these
00:23:42.120 hormones can do
00:23:43.900 irreparable damage to
00:23:45.680 children they can
00:23:46.540 sterilize children they
00:23:47.860 can permanently harm a
00:23:49.640 child and planned
00:23:50.520 parenthood is is a
00:23:52.700 multi-billion dollar
00:23:54.340 business that is more
00:23:55.980 than happy to sterilize
00:23:57.280 your child without you
00:23:58.460 even knowing about it
00:23:59.460 by the way we've got
00:24:00.520 this audio and i want to
00:24:01.800 play this coming from
00:24:02.940 live action where you
00:24:04.940 you describe them
00:24:05.740 trying to schedule
00:24:06.560 this and i want people
00:24:07.520 to listen to it and
00:24:09.160 again this is when we
00:24:10.920 ask for you to help get
00:24:12.460 this out no one's
00:24:13.820 covering this in the
00:24:14.620 media this is why we
00:24:16.060 ask you to grab the
00:24:16.800 podcast and share it so
00:24:18.660 that others can hear
00:24:19.540 this right now
00:24:20.500 thank you for calling
00:24:21.380 planned parenthood
00:24:22.100 thank you for choosing
00:24:23.040 planned parenthood
00:24:23.920 greater new york
00:24:24.920 thank you for calling
00:24:25.920 planned parenthood
00:24:27.000 minnesota north dakota
00:24:28.320 south dakota hello
00:24:29.460 good afternoon thank you
00:24:30.760 for calling planned
00:24:31.680 parenthood hi my name's
00:24:33.200 sophia i'm just trying
00:24:34.580 to schedule some gender
00:24:36.540 affirming care i really
00:24:38.080 just want to be able to
00:24:39.000 get some testosterone to
00:24:40.440 start my journey so we
00:24:41.720 just have to start by
00:24:42.880 booking your initial
00:24:44.040 appointment so you can
00:24:45.020 come in to see one of
00:24:45.920 our providers are you
00:24:47.900 over 18 no i'm 16
00:24:50.200 you're good to be seen
00:24:51.800 here then 16 and older
00:24:53.760 i'll take that you're
00:24:55.000 okay to do it for minors
00:24:56.340 yes you can legally get
00:24:57.980 hormones under 18
00:24:59.940 how old are you 16 i know
00:25:02.540 my mom has to come in
00:25:03.640 with me does she have
00:25:04.660 to be in there the whole
00:25:05.860 time like how does that
00:25:07.540 work because i don't know
00:25:08.380 if i'm comfortable with
00:25:09.340 that at some point of the
00:25:11.140 appointment maybe she
00:25:12.140 doesn't have to be in the
00:25:13.820 edamining room with you
00:25:15.000 you said i could do it
00:25:15.980 virtually yeah you can do
00:25:17.520 it virtually so what would
00:25:19.100 that look like so i just
00:25:20.220 talk to a doctor and then
00:25:21.800 they'd be able to prescribe
00:25:24.060 me yeah if it's virtual
00:25:26.160 you'll still meet with the
00:25:28.460 doctor and then go over
00:25:30.500 like all necessary
00:25:31.460 information at the end
00:25:33.180 they will then be
00:25:34.280 prescribing hormones that
00:25:36.220 would then be stripped out
00:25:37.340 to like your local
00:25:38.100 pharmacy i don't need any
00:25:39.560 like therapy or anything
00:25:40.840 first like you don't need
00:25:41.860 any record of that
00:25:42.880 not that i know of i don't
00:25:45.260 need any sort of like
00:25:46.220 records of having gone to
00:25:47.500 therapy or anything like
00:25:48.560 that right yeah so unless
00:25:49.900 you have tricare insurance
00:25:51.380 it would not be required
00:25:52.800 there's nothing that i need
00:25:54.040 before right like i don't
00:25:55.380 need to like have records of
00:25:56.460 meeting with a therapist or
00:25:57.460 anything right because my
00:25:58.460 parents definitely aren't
00:25:59.380 going to let me do that
00:26:00.100 um no i just decided last
00:26:02.560 week and so i kind of want
00:26:03.480 to get in as soon as
00:26:04.980 possible do you have any
00:26:06.040 appointments available soon
00:26:07.680 yeah it depends on the
00:26:09.060 location too but we usually
00:26:10.440 do have availability for um
00:26:13.040 like the next week of
00:26:14.040 whenever you call you think
00:26:15.420 that if i came in went over
00:26:16.960 everything with the doctor
00:26:17.900 and they could send the
00:26:19.020 prescription that day yes i
00:26:20.840 think they should be able to
00:26:22.220 the provider is going to send
00:26:24.020 the prescription to your
00:26:25.660 pharmacy the same day of
00:26:27.240 your appointment oh perfect
00:26:29.240 okay so i can get the
00:26:30.620 hormones the same day
00:26:32.180 some pharmacies do take a
00:26:34.460 little bit to get it
00:26:35.420 together but yeah if not the
00:26:37.340 same day then more than
00:26:38.620 likely the very next day
00:26:40.020 perfect thank you for
00:26:41.440 calling
00:26:41.760 you have a great day
00:26:43.080 i mean you hear that
00:26:45.640 senator and it makes you so
00:26:47.580 angry because what you're
00:26:49.120 hearing is the underworld of
00:26:52.160 hey we don't need parents
00:26:53.960 we don't need parents we
00:26:56.380 don't need doctors we
00:26:57.500 don't need evidence and and
00:26:58.860 by the way the defenders of
00:27:00.480 of this mutilation and then
00:27:01.900 these are also the folks
00:27:02.900 that defend surgeries where
00:27:04.760 you're you're actually
00:27:05.580 physically sterilizing little
00:27:08.280 boys or little girls um the
00:27:10.480 the defenders of this they
00:27:11.800 say oh it's the result of of
00:27:13.980 of a long you know therapy
00:27:16.600 and a medical condition it's
00:27:18.640 very clear planned
00:27:19.640 parenthood doesn't give a
00:27:20.620 flip what your medical
00:27:21.880 condition is that's not their
00:27:23.280 business they're in the
00:27:24.240 business of of selling
00:27:26.360 they're in the business of
00:27:27.380 selling abortions which is
00:27:28.540 their main business but
00:27:29.400 they're also in the business
00:27:30.480 of selling sterilizing kids
00:27:33.160 because look cross-sex
00:27:34.940 hormones and that that
00:27:36.040 includes testosterone or
00:27:37.820 estrogen given to the
00:27:38.980 opposite gender uh they're
00:27:41.040 meant to alter the body to
00:27:43.060 show characteristics of the
00:27:45.760 opposite gender and and and
00:27:47.780 they can alter the body's
00:27:49.340 natural makeup they can
00:27:50.560 alter the functions of the
00:27:51.580 body but they can also result
00:27:53.860 in in numerous side effects
00:27:56.120 including permanent
00:27:57.460 infertility and and lila
00:27:59.860 rose who who's the president
00:28:01.180 of live action and and and a
00:28:02.760 tremendous warrior standing
00:28:05.100 for life here here's what lila
00:28:06.600 rose said she said that the
00:28:09.000 investigation exposes quote a
00:28:11.140 chilling reality that planned
00:28:13.620 parenthood is fast tracking
00:28:15.540 tracking vulnerable children into
00:28:18.920 irreversible home hormone
00:28:20.920 treatments with almost no
00:28:22.800 medical oversight these
00:28:25.080 dangerous drugs can sterilize
00:28:27.520 stunt growth and leave
00:28:29.900 lifelong scars this is not
00:28:32.060 health care it is child abuse
00:28:34.720 and it must be stopped it
00:28:37.260 really is incredible the last
00:28:38.680 question i have to ask you on
00:28:39.820 this is after this type of
00:28:41.480 information comes out is there
00:28:43.160 any role that congress can play in
00:28:45.760 getting involved now that we see
00:28:47.140 this so clearly absolutely and
00:28:49.980 and and every year planned
00:28:51.260 parenthood gets more than 700
00:28:53.060 million dollars in federal
00:28:54.640 taxpayer dollars that needs to
00:28:56.540 end we need to defund plant
00:28:58.540 parenthood you shouldn't be
00:29:00.380 forced to pay for for for the
00:29:02.780 sterilization of kids you
00:29:04.260 shouldn't be forced to pay for
00:29:05.780 abortions all all over the
00:29:07.120 country and and so i hope we will
00:29:09.620 see leadership in congress i'm
00:29:11.080 certainly fighting to defund
00:29:12.280 planned parenthood and i hope we
00:29:13.540 get it done this year right now
00:29:16.380 as always thank you for
00:29:18.460 listening to verdict with
00:29:19.880 senator ted cruz ben ferguson
00:29:21.580 with you don't forget to
00:29:22.460 download my podcast and you can

00:29:25.280 day you're not listening to
00:29:26.160 verdict or each day when you
00:29:27.400 listen to verdict afterwards i'd
00:29:29.160 love to have you as a listener to
00:29:30.700 again the ben ferguson podcast and
00:29:32.700 we will see you back here on
00:29:34.400 monday morning

00:29:37.740 guaranteed human
00:29:39.820 you
