00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.200 Welcome, it is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you, and it is the week
00:00:10.600 in review, and my oh my, was it a big week.
00:00:13.940 First up, Kamala Harris flip-flopping now on the border wall, trying to convince Americans
00:00:19.840 she's in favor of it, even though she's the one that has stopped it from being built.
00:00:25.260 Also, RFK, he has endorsed Donald Trump.
00:00:29.860 How significant could this be in swing states?
00:00:32.940 We're going to break that down.
00:00:34.800 And finally, Kamala Harris did a big fake interview with CNN.
00:00:39.340 You had Dana Bash holding one hand while her VP, Candidate Walls, was holding the other.
00:00:45.520 So what actually came out of it?
00:00:47.140 Well, she had to defend Bidenomics and said it was quote-unquote good work.
00:00:51.480 Yes, Bidenomics, the same thing that's destroyed our economy.
00:00:54.640 We'll break all that down for you as well.
00:00:57.120 It is the week in review, and it starts right now.
00:01:00.980 There is also another story you mentioned earlier, and this one, I'm sorry, Senator, I
00:01:06.200 just laughed when I saw this happen in real time.
00:01:09.820 Kamala Harris has come out and now flip-flopped on the border wall issue.
00:01:14.960 She is one that said she would never, okay, never, ever support building a wall.
00:01:24.420 And I'm going to play it because I think people should hear this is her in her own words in
00:01:29.680 Des Moines, Iowa.
00:01:30.780 Let me be very clear.
00:01:31.660 I'm not going to vote for a wall under any circumstances, and I do support border security,
00:01:35.740 and if we want to talk about that, let's do that.
00:01:38.440 But I will never support a wall under any circumstances.
00:01:42.820 Now, the polling data is not looking good for her on security at the border, and she's
00:01:47.640 like, okay, I guess I might be in favor of wall.
00:01:49.940 Even putting out an ad that shows Donald Trump's wall in her ad.
00:01:54.240 Well, the single greatest vulnerability to Kamala Harris and Democrats nationally is
00:01:58.780 the open borders they've had for four years.
00:02:00.940 It is the number one issue voters are concerned about.
00:02:03.560 We're seeing an invasion at our southern border, 11.5 million illegal immigrants.
00:02:08.320 People are seeing the death, the suffering, the children being brutalized, the women being
00:02:12.740 sexually assaulted.
00:02:14.040 People are seeing the criminals being released who are murdering Americans, who are raping
00:02:17.900 women, who are assaulting kids.
00:02:19.360 People are seeing the risk of terrorism coming across the southern border, and they're very
00:02:23.300 unhappy.
00:02:24.380 So the Democrats are looking at the same poll numbers we are.
00:02:27.320 They realize, gosh, this is a vulnerability.
00:02:29.680 Now, mind you, they're not willing to change their policies.
00:02:32.180 They still want another 11 million, another 20 million, another 30 million illegal immigrants
00:02:37.160 to come into this country because they view them all as future Democrat voters.
00:02:40.620 They want to stay in power.
00:02:41.820 But we've got 69 days to Election Day, and so in the 69 days to Election Day, they will say
00:02:46.380 whatever, whatever they feel they can to convince the voters to elect Kamala Harris, and after
00:02:52.680 which she will go hard left and continue to destroy this country.
00:02:56.480 Now, we saw at the outset of her campaign, by the way, she's been the presumptive Democrat
00:03:01.800 nominee for over a month.
00:03:03.900 She's done zero interviews, no press conferences, no questions.
00:03:07.980 They put her in front of a teleprompter.
00:03:10.900 She reads the teleprompter.
00:03:12.380 They tackle her.
00:03:13.620 They throw her back in Joe Biden's basement.
00:03:15.520 They say, shut up and please don't say anything.
00:03:17.660 The first major policy provision she came out for was no taxes on tips.
00:03:23.840 That was literally a proposal Donald Trump rolled out in Nevada.
00:03:27.040 It was a proposal, by the way, that I introduced in the Senate.
00:03:29.540 I introduced the no taxes on tips legislation.
00:03:32.180 When I introduced it, both Democrat senators from Nevada co-sponsored my legislation, and
00:03:37.720 there's a reason for that, which is 25 percent of the workers in Nevada are tipped workers.
00:03:41.760 And so both Democrats immediately sponsored my legislation.
00:03:45.480 Kamala came out and suddenly had this crazy idea, hey, no taxes on tips.
00:03:49.080 So that was where she started.
00:03:51.020 She is now gone.
00:03:52.580 So she also said this week she is not for an EV mandate.
00:03:56.700 Suddenly she loves her some internal combustion engine.
00:04:00.480 No electric vehicle mandate.
00:04:02.520 Just keep your car.
00:04:03.840 Never mind for the last four years of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
00:04:07.080 They have been pushing an EV mandate on every front.
00:04:09.880 They've been trying to ban the internal combustion engine.
00:04:11.840 They've been using regulatory assaults on every front.
00:04:14.540 None of that exists.
00:04:15.640 This, as Obi-Wan Kenobi said, these are not the drones you're looking for.
00:04:19.760 Do not pay attention to anything Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have done.
00:04:23.220 Listen instead to the nonsense they're spewing 69 days before the election.
00:04:28.440 But this truly is the one that is the cherry on the top of the banana sundae.
00:04:33.800 Let me read the headline from Axios.
00:04:36.620 Quote, Harris flip-flops on building the border wall.
00:04:41.560 If she's elected president, Kamala Harris pledges to spend hundreds of millions of dollars
00:04:45.820 on a wall along the southern border, a project she once opposed and called un-American during
00:04:53.720 the Trump administration.
00:04:55.240 By the way, I'm going to break news right now.
00:04:57.420 And this may not be news, you know.
00:04:59.740 But next week, I'm reliably told from leaks within the White House that Kamala Harris plans
00:05:05.300 to dye her hair blonde, dye her skin orange, and buy enormously long red ties and wear
00:05:12.000 only those in public appearances.
00:05:14.480 And you've got to add, Beyonce's going to be in there with her doing the same thing,
00:05:17.640 right?
00:05:17.860 Because if we're going to start rumors, we might as well go back to that one to get
00:05:20.400 people excited.
00:05:21.960 But by the way, Beyonce is going to be blonde and also with orange skin.
00:05:27.940 I love it.
00:05:30.200 Listen, I want to go back.
00:05:31.440 I want you to listen to a montage that Martha McCallum put together on Fox of Kamala's prior
00:05:38.160 positions on the wall, because this is, look, there's a Yiddish word, chutzpah.
00:05:42.960 That doesn't even begin to capture what Kamala Harris's claim that she's going to build the
00:05:47.200 wall is now.
00:05:48.460 Listen to this.
00:05:50.420 Axios News calling out Vice President Harris's, quote, flip-flop on the border wall.
00:05:55.760 Here is some of what she has said in the past.
00:05:58.180 Watch.
00:05:58.520 I'm all for increased border security where we need it.
00:06:02.340 I am not for a wall.
00:06:03.680 I specialize on transnational criminal organizations.
00:06:06.840 That wall ain't going to stop them.
00:06:08.960 No.
00:06:10.200 No.
00:06:11.440 No.
00:06:14.520 I'm not going to be honest about that.
00:06:17.160 But last week, Harris said that she supports the bipartisan border bill, which includes
00:06:26.320 requiring the Trump border wall, according to its negotiators.
00:06:31.420 Axios reporting that Team Harris says that the bill doesn't include new wall funding.
00:06:36.440 It just extends the timeline to spend funds appropriated during the Trump administration.
00:06:43.180 So we hope we'll hear directly from the candidate to clear that up in an interview, which we would
00:06:49.260 love to see over the next several days.
00:06:51.260 By the way, the interview is now going to be a joint interview, apparently, on CNN, where
00:06:55.520 she doesn't have to worry about babbling so much because the VP will be there with her
00:07:00.280 candidate, which still makes me laugh.
00:07:03.180 That's her first interview.
00:07:04.040 But we have we have no policies decisions.
00:07:06.640 It just seems to be.
00:07:07.660 Ben, let me ask you something.
00:07:09.460 So, Ben, you have been following politics closely since you were like in the womb.
00:07:14.580 Yeah.
00:07:15.000 And it's your birthday.
00:07:17.340 So like in the womb was 43 years.
00:07:21.300 You're going numbers, sir.
00:07:22.780 I'm digging this in 43 years.
00:07:27.640 Do you know of a single instance ever?
00:07:30.560 And I'm asking this comprehensively in 43 years where a presidential candidate was so
00:07:37.720 terrified to do an interview on their own that they demanded their VP candidate be with
00:07:42.320 there with them.
00:07:43.220 Yeah.
00:07:43.420 Bring a buddy with you.
00:07:44.360 Right.
00:07:44.580 No, I've never seen that.
00:07:46.520 But what's even more shocking, it's weird, but it's even more shocking than that is we
00:07:51.120 had a convention.
00:07:52.660 And if you go to her website right now, because I check it every day when I'm doing my show.
00:07:57.160 No policy.
00:07:57.600 There is still no policy tabs on her damn website.
00:08:01.560 There's no taxes on tips and building a wall and protect the internal combustion engine.
00:08:07.120 Yeah.
00:08:07.440 And the same wall that you were on the website for the fact checkers there.
00:08:11.820 That's just the policy she's rolling out.
00:08:14.100 But she has no policies on her website.
00:08:16.060 Well, and that's the part I think that Axios was trying to get at is like, give me a break.
00:08:20.520 I mean, Kamala Harris, if you go back.
00:08:23.480 And by the way, Axios is not a right wing website.
00:08:25.720 It is a center left media organizations.
00:08:29.840 It's not one of the most left wing organizations, but it's it's not conservative.
00:08:34.700 No.
00:08:35.060 And they're pointing out.
00:08:36.140 Are you friggin kidding me?
00:08:37.580 Like, this is what what she's saying?
00:08:39.940 Yeah.
00:08:40.220 And let's go back to what she called the wall, which she's now using parts of the wall visually
00:08:45.680 in her ads.
00:08:46.780 Listen, we don't need to build a wall.
00:08:48.660 Well, this is a crisis of his own making.
00:08:51.200 And by definition, just plain speak, basic English language definition, it is not an emergency.
00:08:58.260 What's going to end up happening is that he will end up without any question if he if he proceeds.
00:09:05.460 We're going to be looking at a situation where, in particular, homeowners and landowners in places like New Mexico and and Texas are probably going to look at government taking their land.
00:09:15.520 We're looking at military resources being focused, again, on the president's vanity project instead of focused on real national security issues.
00:09:25.280 I mean, she says it's a vanity project and it's not a crisis and we don't need it.
00:09:30.240 And everybody this Donald Trump is is the idiot.
00:09:33.440 I'm the brilliant one.
00:09:34.560 And she said this for years and now she's using Trump's wall is like a as a prop for her own campaign.
00:09:43.040 Listen, I served for years on the Senate Judiciary Committee with Kamala Harris.
00:09:47.960 One hundred percent of the time, without exception, she was hard left.
00:09:53.380 As the nonpartisan bill tracking organization, GovTrack, raided her, she was the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate.
00:10:00.900 She voted to the left of Bernie Sanders, to the left of Elizabeth Warren.
00:10:03.780 She has never once, in any hearing I've been in, expressed any concern with securing the border.
00:10:11.880 She has always, always, always sided on the side of illegal aliens, of the cartels, of the human traffickers, of the drug smugglers.
00:10:19.300 In fact, in one hearing with the head of ICE, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, she analogized ICE agents to the Ku Klux Klan, which is grotesque.
00:10:30.140 It is offensive. And so now when she's pretending she will secure the border, she has been in charge of the border for the last four years.
00:10:40.380 She has been the border czar as much as the media is trying to erase that.
00:10:45.420 Those are the facts. She wanted this outcome.
00:10:48.460 This invasion is her desired outcome.
00:10:51.680 And if, God forbid, she gets elected president, 11.5 million is going to become 20 million or even 30 million illegal immigrants.
00:10:58.580 Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation, you can go back and listen to the full podcast from earlier this week.

00:11:12.900 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:11:16.660 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:11:17.820 And I'm Catherine Clark.

00:11:28.560 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:11:31.800 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:11:37.600 Now on to story number two.
00:11:40.300 So let's talk about the politics of this now.
00:11:43.340 And you look at swing states.
00:11:45.600 And this is my theory.
00:11:47.680 You can tell me if you think I'm right or wrong.
00:11:50.620 He was polling in most swing states.
00:11:52.320 I'm referring to RFK Jr.
00:11:54.060 Anywhere between about 4% to 7%.
00:11:57.940 If he's able to keep 40% to 50% of his supporters and they go over to Trump, that's a legitimate 2% to 3% points in swing states.
00:12:09.980 That is the difference, Senator, between winning and losing in a general election cycle.
00:12:15.680 This could be massive for Donald Trump.
00:12:18.420 This could have enormous impact.
00:12:20.780 And we'll break the numbers down in a second.
00:12:22.460 But you're right.
00:12:23.560 But let me, before we get into the exact numbers, let's actually just talk about this in the macro level.
00:12:30.180 Bobby Kennedy is the son of the late Bobby Kennedy, who would have been president had he not been assassinated on the presidential campaign trail.
00:12:43.220 Bobby Kennedy is the nephew of JFK, who obviously was president and tragically was assassinated as president.
00:12:52.820 There is no greater Democratic royalty than the Kennedys and Bobby Kennedy Jr. in particular.
00:13:06.200 That is for Bobby Kennedy to be endorsing the Republican candidate for president is massive.
00:13:14.640 And do you know when the last time was that a Kennedy supported a Republican in a campaign?
00:13:22.880 I'm going to go back in ancient history.
00:13:24.760 I want you to listen to this interview with Richard Nixon.
00:13:28.740 Let's go back to 1950.
00:13:30.940 Give a listen as Nixon talks about it.
00:13:32.780 In 1950, he came into the outer office.
00:13:38.980 My secretary buzzed and said, Congressman Kennedy is here.
00:13:43.760 And so, of course, he came right in and he handed me an envelope.
00:13:46.680 He said, you know, I know you've got a tough campaign against Helen Gahagan Douglas and the family would like to contribute.
00:13:53.500 So he handed it to me and it was $1,000 in cash.
00:13:57.460 Later on, I think it was quite embarrassing to him.
00:13:59.840 And he wanted it made very clear that the contribution was from his father and not for him personally.
00:14:05.600 But he was delivering it.
00:14:06.620 There was no question that whose side he was on.
00:14:08.860 And later on, after the election, when he was speaking at Harvard, he said that he was not unhappy about my defeating Helen Gahagan Douglas
00:14:16.960 because he had not found her one that he liked to work with in the Congress of the United States.
00:14:21.900 Do you think that the money was, in fact, from him or was it from his father?
00:14:25.860 It doesn't make any difference.
00:14:27.400 The Kennedy money is all in one pot.
00:14:29.840 And he got, he had a chance again.
00:14:31.360 I think, let me put it this way.
00:14:34.220 Unless he had wanted me to beat Helen Gahagan Douglas, that money would never have come.
00:14:40.040 Because I didn't know his father at that time.
00:14:42.380 I'm sure what happened is that he told his father that, well, this is one of the coming lights here.
00:14:47.780 And his father was anti-communist.
00:14:49.340 And felt, because of what I had done in his case, which was already under the belt at that point, that he'd like to be on that side.
00:14:56.940 No, I don't think he was an errand boy for his father.
00:14:59.880 The money may have come from his father.
00:15:01.740 But he wanted it done, too.
00:15:02.940 There was no question about that.
00:15:04.540 He was on my side in that campaign.
00:15:06.100 I mean, that's a piece of history that I hope everyone, and like you said earlier, if you're not getting to watch this, if you're listening to audio only of this one, go watch this on YouTube.
00:15:16.220 Because that's a really cool piece of history to see.
00:15:18.760 Yeah, the video is amazing.
00:15:20.420 And it's Nixon describing how JFK supported him in Nixon's Senate race when he was running for the Senate in California in 1950 against Helen Gagin-Douglas, who was a very, very left-wing Democrat.
00:15:36.720 And JFK showed up, number one, with $1,000 cash.
00:15:40.240 And so JFK is this young congressman.
00:15:42.660 He shows up with $1,000 cash.
00:15:44.820 Now, that's illegal today.
00:15:46.620 Yeah, you can't.
00:15:47.560 Bag men like that, you can't bring cash.
00:15:49.420 And it was, some of this came out of Watergate and came out of all of that.
00:15:53.360 You had the initial campaign finance laws that you can't now accept that much money in cash.
00:15:59.440 It has to be a check or it has to be a credit card or it has to be Bitcoin, but it can't be, you're not allowed.
00:16:08.360 I actually had a campaign rally where a guy came up to me yesterday, you were there, with five $100 bills and said,
00:16:17.860 here, I want to give you $500 for your campaign.
00:16:20.120 And I had to tell him, I said, thank you, sir.
00:16:22.240 I'm not allowed to accept that.
00:16:23.940 Under the FEC rules, I'm not allowed to accept that much cash.
00:16:27.240 You can give it as a check.
00:16:28.540 You can give it as a credit card.
00:16:29.520 But I can't take that.
00:16:31.260 And I made him keep his money.
00:16:32.800 Now, I don't know if he ended up giving or not, but it was an interesting moment.
00:16:36.080 It is an interesting moment.
00:16:39.180 And by the way, that was $1,000 in 1950.
00:16:43.500 How much is that today?
00:16:44.960 I mean, to put it in perspective, it's a lot.
00:16:47.280 Well, I actually ran the numbers and $1,000 in 1950 today is $13,051.45.
00:16:54.800 That's how much the Kennedys wanted him to win.
00:16:56.800 $13,000 that JFK delivered to support Nixon in his Senate race in 1950.
00:17:05.400 And I don't know of another instance when a Kennedy has supported a Republican,
00:17:11.420 certainly not in as high profile a race as the presidential race.
00:17:16.440 So Bobby Kennedy supporting Donald Trump.
00:17:19.700 Wow.
00:17:20.420 Like, holy cow.
00:17:21.960 It's been 74 years since this has happened.
00:17:25.400 When you look now at these swing states moving forward,
00:17:28.320 and I think there's two takeaways that are going to be political knowledge.
00:17:32.180 If I was doing a class, teaching a class in a couple years,
00:17:35.200 I would bring this up immediately.
00:17:37.140 What did you learn from this endorsement?
00:17:39.300 Number one, I think Americans are very much open to a cabinet
00:17:44.140 that just isn't one-sided for one part of the other.
00:17:47.300 And that you should look for ways to reach across the aisle
00:17:49.540 because it can bridge the gap.
00:17:50.760 And I think this is proof of this with the way that the reaction has been
00:17:53.800 and how terrified Democrats are of this endorsement, number one.
00:17:57.600 But number two, I also think it tells you how important it is to listen to
00:18:01.800 maybe some of the smaller candidates who are running,
00:18:04.900 whether it's listening to someone like a Buchanan or a Nader or even a Bernie Sanders.
00:18:10.160 I think Democrats have done a bad job not incorporating some of that younger
00:18:14.200 Phil the Bern into some of their later campaigns.
00:18:16.680 Hillary Clinton really pissed off.
00:18:18.300 The Bernie Sanders people in a major way when she was running.
00:18:22.760 And I think that's part of history that people haven't looked at so much
00:18:25.480 is that, hey, you've got to make sure that if you're a Democrat,
00:18:29.340 even if there's someone you don't like, you might want to have a bigger conversation with them.
00:18:33.560 So, yes and no.
00:18:34.420 I actually think in many ways Bernie Sanders prevailed in that race.
00:18:37.960 Why?
00:18:38.400 Because his agenda became the Democrat Party agenda.
00:18:40.920 Yeah, but didn't she have disdain in it afterwards?
00:18:44.000 Oh, look, Hillary did and I assume does.
00:18:47.580 And there's no doubt they treated Bernie and his coalition.
00:18:50.900 They treated them like peasants.
00:18:52.540 They gave them the back of the hand because the Democrat Party is all about power, power, power.
00:18:56.720 But my point is Bernie's positions were fringe a decade ago.
00:19:01.100 Now they're in mainstream.
00:19:02.200 That they are now the heart.
00:19:04.340 Every one of Bernie's positions is what Kamala Harris supports.
00:19:07.460 That they are one in the same.
00:19:09.300 And when Trump became president, what it did is it radicalized the Democrat Party
00:19:13.880 and they ended up adopting Bernie's policies.
00:19:16.840 But look, you want to understand how big a deal the RFK Jr. endorsement is?
00:19:23.180 Just flip it.
00:19:25.140 So the media is saying all day long, it's not a big deal.
00:19:28.120 It's not a big deal.
00:19:28.720 It doesn't matter.
00:19:29.240 It doesn't matter.
00:19:29.720 It doesn't matter.
00:19:30.200 It doesn't matter.
00:19:31.300 They're so desperate to convince you of that.
00:19:33.960 That ought to tell you something.
00:19:35.140 Just flip it and ask yourself if Bobby Kennedy yesterday had endorsed Kamala Harris.
00:19:41.480 24-7 news coverage.
00:19:42.660 I promise you CNN went and dumped out of it, which is what they did when they were covering him saying he was dropping out of the race.
00:19:47.820 So repeat that.
00:19:49.780 Yeah.
00:19:50.040 Literally during his speech, CNN cut it off.
00:19:53.340 By the way, MSNBC aired the speech with no audio.
00:19:57.480 They had their commentators talking over it.
00:19:59.180 So you could see Bobby Kennedy was talking, but they thought it was more important to hear the lefties saying,
00:20:04.040 the words coming out of Kennedy's mouth do not matter.
00:20:07.200 Pay no attention.
00:20:08.260 You cannot listen to this.
00:20:10.560 They are terrified.
00:20:12.060 And if Kennedy had endorsed Kamala, it would be 24-7.
00:20:17.380 It would be the race is over.
00:20:18.880 This is the final.
00:20:20.300 This broke the back of Trump.
00:20:22.880 Dance in the street.
00:20:23.780 Dance in the street.
00:20:24.640 In fact, call off the election in November.
00:20:26.460 We don't even need an election.
00:20:28.160 Game over.
00:20:29.320 Let's break some of the numbers down.
00:20:31.220 So I have here Tony Fabrizio, who is Trump's pollster, put out a memo just breaking down what's the impact of the RFK Jr. endorsement.
00:20:39.960 And if you go through the swing states, all right, I'm going to go through each of them, seven states.
00:20:44.280 So Arizona, RFK Jr.'s current share of the vote right now is 5%.
00:20:49.200 The breakdown within Arizona of the Kennedy vote, how much of it supports Trump, how much of it supports Harris?
00:20:58.840 In Arizona, it's 53% supports Trump, 28% supports Harris.
00:21:03.380 That's a delta of 25%.
00:21:07.700 That's a ton of votes.
00:21:09.700 If you assume the Trump supporting Kennedy votes will now vote for Trump, that's a big chunk.
00:21:16.320 How about Georgia?
00:21:17.180 Georgia Kennedy has 3%, and the delta is 47% for Trump, 34% for Harris.
00:21:24.060 That's a delta of 13%, again favoring Trump.
00:21:27.280 Michigan, Kennedy has 4% of the vote.
00:21:30.380 The delta there is 43% for Trump, 41% for Harris.
00:21:34.260 That's the closest, but even that's plus 2% for Trump.
00:21:38.040 How about North Carolina?
00:21:39.200 North Carolina, Kennedy has 3%, but the breakdown there, 58% for Trump, 22% for Harris.
00:21:46.260 That's a delta of 36% for Trump.
00:21:50.100 Nevada, Nevada Kennedy has 4%.
00:21:52.760 The delta between the two, all right, this is going to be stunning.
00:21:55.680 What do you think the delta is between the two?
00:21:57.920 I mean, it's got to be in the teens, I would assume, because of taxes.
00:22:03.260 It's much, much higher than that.
00:22:05.280 Really?
00:22:05.900 Trump, 66%.
00:22:08.180 Harris, 16%.
00:22:11.180 The delta is 50%.
00:22:14.500 Is that because of the tax issue there?
00:22:16.360 I don't know why it is.
00:22:17.880 I'm just reading the numbers from Fabrizio's memo, so it doesn't say why.
00:22:21.820 Let me do the last two swing states, Pennsylvania.
00:22:25.060 Kennedy has 4% of the vote.
00:22:27.940 Trump has, of that 4%, Trump has 49%, Harris has 35%.
00:22:32.620 That's a delta of 13%.
00:22:35.260 And finally, Wisconsin.
00:22:39.020 Kennedy has 4% of the vote.
00:22:41.700 Trump has 55% of that share.
00:22:44.660 Harris has 25% of that share.
00:22:46.780 That is a delta of plus 30%.
00:22:49.900 What does all of that mean?
00:22:51.540 It means the impact is very possibly one to two to three points in Trump's direction in each of those swing states.
00:23:02.060 That is a big, big deal in an election that could easily be decided by one or two percentage points.
00:23:09.780 This endorsement could very possibly change the outcome of the election.
00:23:15.740 I think a week ago, after a month of relentless media propaganda, according to the public polling, Kamala Harris was winning in all the swing states but Georgia,
00:23:27.240 which would suggest if the election had happened a week ago that Kamala would have won.
00:23:32.820 If these numbers move 2% or 3% towards Trump, it could well be the difference that gives Trump the election in November.
00:23:39.780 I want to pull back the curtain a little bit.
00:23:41.340 And in campaigns, when you're running for president, you have daily surrogate calls.
00:23:46.680 And it's the campaign, usually senior staff, that runs them.
00:23:49.320 And they kind of give out some data or the talking points of what we're doing today, what the messaging is today.
00:23:54.600 And by the way, you've done that.
00:23:55.660 So you were on the 2004 George W. Bush re-elect.
00:23:59.140 You were part of the media team.
00:24:00.280 So you've actually been part of those calls.
00:24:02.720 Yes.
00:24:03.260 And they're fun because some days they're just kind of like you check the box.
00:24:07.080 Like, not a lot's changed the day before, but you do it.
00:24:09.440 And it's like, hey, we're still on this.
00:24:10.720 Or, hey, there's a story or this data point.
00:24:12.380 Or make sure if you're on TV, you mention this.
00:24:14.560 So I'm on the Trump ones now.
00:24:17.540 And I can tell you just the feeling on the call, the excitement with this endorsement, with this big guest that they were having at the rally.
00:24:27.100 And everybody knew what it was.
00:24:27.980 Like, it's not hard to figure it out.
00:24:29.500 You knew it was going to be this.
00:24:31.320 It was different.
00:24:32.560 And it was all about these swing states.
00:24:34.220 And I tell people this because, like, you do those calls every day and they become the same, in a sense.
00:24:39.500 There are certain days where things are different.
00:24:41.780 And this was one of those days where it just felt different.
00:24:45.000 Well, and listen, what Kennedy did this cycle was a big deal.
00:24:49.020 Getting on the ballot all across the country.
00:24:51.140 It is hard to get on the presidential ballot as an independent candidate.
00:24:55.200 He got, he said, there are over a million signatures.
00:24:57.700 Those are a bunch of people that were energized, that were inspired, that were excited.
00:25:01.740 Now, not all of them are going to vote for Trump.
00:25:04.440 But if a majority of them, if a significant majority do, that's a big deal.
00:25:10.080 And it is why the corrupt corporate media desperately wants you not even to know about it and not to care.
00:25:16.660 Senator, one last just point I got to bring up.
00:25:19.680 And I think it's an important one.
00:25:21.240 And the Democratic Convention was so worried about people not watching on the final night when Kamala was going to be speaking that they just started putting out lies and leaks.
00:25:33.560 It made me laugh.
00:25:34.720 Don Lemon, for example, said, I have sources saying that either Taylor Swift's going to show up or Beyonce or George W. Bush is going to speak at the Democratic Convention.
00:25:45.200 And then he said, stay tuned, like clear propaganda.
00:25:48.720 George Bush was not showing up to endorse Kamala Harris.
00:25:51.680 No way in hell.
00:25:53.200 But then they had this Beyonce thing out there or Taylor Swift out there.
00:25:57.380 So the numbers would be massive watching the convention.
00:26:00.500 And it was all a lie.
00:26:02.300 Well, look, Don Lemon used to pretend to be a real journalist.
00:26:05.380 That's true.
00:26:05.860 And he just happily was pushing out propaganda.
00:26:08.980 I mean, the idea that George W. Bush was going to show up was always absurd and was laughable.
00:26:13.960 But you're right.
00:26:15.120 It was designed to get people to tune in, whether it was Taylor Swift or Beyonce.
00:26:18.940 They wanted to do something to draw up some excitement to get people to watch.
00:26:24.080 But but look, I got to say that that night I was I was on Fox.
00:26:27.880 I was on Jesse Waters.
00:26:29.080 And I actually said, Jesse, I want to break some news.
00:26:32.080 So I have an internal leak from within the White House that has come out.
00:26:36.500 I know who the mystery guest is.
00:26:39.940 It's El Chapo.
00:26:41.380 El Chapo is going to address the convention.
00:26:45.180 And the reason is simple.
00:26:46.300 They were brainstorming who's benefited the most from Kamala Harris's policies.
00:26:52.100 And as they talked about it, they could not come up with anyone who has benefited more than Mexican drug lords.
00:26:58.000 Yeah.
00:26:58.140 And so El Chapo, I'm told.
00:27:00.720 And again, this is a leak from the Biden White House that Kamala personally raised the bail money to bail.
00:27:06.400 Yes, El Chapo is in jail, but she's very good at raising bail money for people in jail.
00:27:10.940 So they bailed him out to fly into Chicago to speak on stage and say, let me tell you, are you better off than you were four years ago to all my drug dealing compatriots?
00:27:21.940 We are much better off.
00:27:24.120 So si se puede.
00:27:26.660 Turned out my prediction was wrong, but boy, it would have been appropriate because it sure is accurate who's benefited.
00:27:31.900 As before, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation on this topic, you can go back and download the podcast from early this week to hear the entire thing.
00:27:41.740 Canadian women are looking for more.
00:27:43.760 More out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them.
00:27:47.960 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:27:51.680 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:27:52.860 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:27:53.800 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.
00:28:03.600 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:28:06.820 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:28:12.580 I want to get back to the big story number three of the week you may have missed.
00:28:17.180 When you look at this interview, and it obviously depends on who you talk to, right?
00:28:21.640 You go and look at conservative headlines, and it's like, train wreck.
00:28:25.780 CNN pushes Kamala Harris hard on issues, another headline says.
00:28:29.860 Harris unprepared, no good answers.
00:28:32.860 Waltz hit on stolen valor.
00:28:34.960 VP defends Bidenomics fails to explain why she did not lower prices.
00:28:40.260 I mean, the headlines, my point is, are all over the place.
00:28:43.780 But on Bidenomics is a great example.
00:28:46.940 She referred to it as good work, Senator.
00:28:49.960 It's good work.
00:28:51.200 Really?
00:28:51.720 Like, Bidenomics, which has been a disaster.
00:28:54.800 She says, no, no, no.
00:28:55.880 It's not really a disaster.
00:28:57.860 It's pretty good work.
00:28:58.860 You maintain Bidenomics is a success.
00:29:01.920 I maintain that when we do the work of bringing down prescription medication for the American people,
00:29:07.260 including capping the cost of the annual cost of prescription medication for seniors at $2,000,
00:29:12.080 when we do what we did in the first year of being in office to extend the child tax credit so that we cut child poverty in America by over 50 percent,
00:29:21.800 when we do what we have done to invest in the American people in bringing manufacturing back to the United States so that we created over 800,000 new manufacturing jobs,
00:29:32.800 bringing business back to America, what we have done to improve the supply chain so we're not relying on foreign governments to supply American families with their basic needs,
00:29:43.920 I'll say that that's good work.
00:29:46.040 There's more to do, but that's good work.
00:29:48.740 I mean, where do you even start?
00:29:52.120 Grocery prices?
00:29:53.140 Home prices?
00:29:54.100 Food?
00:29:54.240 I mean, where do you want to go with this?
00:29:56.640 But let me give my bottom line.
00:29:59.840 This interview did absolutely nothing to impact the presidential election in November.
00:30:06.400 The Kamala Harris campaign is high-fiving.
00:30:09.160 They're thrilled because now they have an excuse not to do another interview for at least another month because they'll say they did an interview.
00:30:16.880 So they will quickly rush her back to Joe Biden's basement and hide her there.
00:30:21.120 And all this was was a campaign commercial.
00:30:25.720 What she's saying there, she's reading their talking points.
00:30:30.580 The headlines you read, I don't know what outlets they are, but I'm going to guess that everyone that says train wreck is a right-of-center outlet.
00:30:37.920 You've got Breitbart and Fox News and all of those.
00:30:40.880 And you know what?
00:30:41.540 So what?
00:30:42.020 The people reading that aren't going to vote for her anyway.
00:30:44.020 Like, I don't think there was a single thing in this interview that moved even one voter to change how they're going to vote in November.
00:30:55.480 And if there was, I'm sorry to say it moved them towards Kamala Harris.
00:31:01.480 Because if there's a voter who's a naive and ignorant voter who doesn't know anything, they listened to 20-some-odd minutes of her reading campaign talking points.
00:31:15.580 Look, foreign policy.
00:31:18.020 On foreign policy, okay, there was no question about Ukraine and the disaster that the administration has done on that.
00:31:24.900 There was no question about Afghanistan and the disaster there.
00:31:27.540 There was no question about why Joe Biden denied that 13 servicemen and women were killed in Afghanistan due to their utter incompetence and the disgrace of this administration.
00:31:36.660 None of those were questions.
00:31:38.000 The question was instead about Israel.
00:31:40.620 And what did it do?
00:31:41.500 It gave Kamala Harris a chance to say October 7th was terrible and to say, I will always stand for Israel.
00:31:47.520 And Dan Abash asked, as president, will you cut off weapons to Israel?
00:31:53.300 And Kamala Harris refuses to answer.
00:31:56.100 She says, Israel has a right to defend itself.
00:31:58.720 Doesn't answer the question at all.
00:32:00.760 Okay, Dana, here's a crazy question.
00:32:04.100 Joe Biden, right now, this instant your administration has frozen weapons to Israel, is not sending the weapons to Israel that Congress appropriated.
00:32:12.580 Do you agree with that?
00:32:13.720 Is Joe Biden wrong to refuse to send weapons to Israel?
00:32:18.260 That would be a real question.
00:32:19.980 So, of course, Dan Abash didn't ask that.
00:32:21.400 She also didn't ask, Madam Vice President, you and Joe Biden sent hundreds of millions of dollars to Gaza.
00:32:27.720 You did so after your administration concluded that it was likely that that money would be used by Hamas to carry out terrorism.
00:32:33.900 In light of October 7th, in light of the determination that it was highly likely, that was your administration's determination, it would be used for terrorism.
00:32:41.740 Was it a mistake to send hundreds of millions of dollars that were highly likely to be used by terrorism?
00:32:46.360 By the way, you want to talk foreign policy, Iran.
00:32:48.640 Your administration, Madam Vice President, has sent over $100 billion to Iran.
00:32:55.960 Iran provides 90% of the funding for Hamas, 90% of the funding for Hezbollah.
00:33:00.140 In a very real sense, the death squads on October 7th was funded by your administration.
00:33:06.140 Do you regret that?
00:33:07.120 Was that a mistake?
00:33:08.580 Madam Vice President, why do you continue today to refuse to enforce the oil sanctions against Iran?
00:33:15.300 Why are you allowing Iran to sell 2 million barrels a day of oil?
00:33:20.840 When you became Vice President, they were selling 300,000 barrels a day.
00:33:24.980 It was crushing the Iranian economy.
00:33:27.420 And Madam Vice President, by the way, on fracking, you said a minute ago you weren't going to ban fracking.
00:33:31.740 Why is it that you're so eager to support oil and gas production in Iran, led by a theocratic lunatic who chanced death to America,
00:33:39.500 but you and your administration have put in regulation after regulation, hammering oil and gas jobs in the United States?
00:33:47.000 Those are questions an actual journalist would ask.
00:33:50.520 There's only one moment in this whole debate, Senator, or I should say this television interview,
00:33:56.540 that I think that the Trump campaign could really use to their advantage in a TV ad.
00:34:04.500 And I want to play it for you and get your thoughts, because there was this moment for me where I was like, OK, maybe this is useful.
00:34:12.000 So you have been vice president for three and a half years.
00:34:15.160 The steps that you're talking about now, why haven't you done them already?
00:34:19.060 Well, first of all, we had to recover as an economy, and we have done that.
00:34:23.960 I'm very proud of the work that we have done that has brought inflation down to less than 3 percent.
00:34:28.860 The work that we have done to cap the cost of insulin at $35 a month for seniors.
00:34:33.460 Donald Trump said he was going to do a number of things, including allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices.
00:34:37.980 Never happened.
00:34:39.040 We did it.
00:34:40.080 So now, as I travel in the state of Georgia and around our country, the number of seniors that have benefited.
00:34:46.440 I've met, I was in Nevada recently, a grandmother who showed me her receipts.
00:34:53.200 And before, we capped the cost of insulin for seniors at $35 a month.
00:34:56.960 She was paying hundreds of dollars, up to thousands of dollars a month for her insulin.
00:35:01.700 She's not doing that anymore.
00:35:03.920 I mean, that might be your only moment where you could say, OK, maybe we can make a campaign out of this.
00:35:11.740 Why didn't you do what you say you're going to do day one now?
00:35:17.020 And I'm not with you on that.
00:35:18.300 I actually think Dana Bash gave her a perfect opportunity.
00:35:22.840 Give me your talking point.
00:35:24.200 So so the only questions that she had that were sort of pretend questions when she asked Tim Waltz about stolen valor.
00:35:30.840 It was a softball for him to give a speech about how much how important military service is and how much he loves America.
00:35:39.340 When she he she asked her that question.
00:35:42.820 Look, it's such an obvious question that it was sort of like, what is your talking point in response to this?
00:35:49.020 And that whole riff there, if you are a voter who's not paying much attention, who doesn't know the record, that riff sounds pretty good.
00:35:57.320 OK, so we had a pandemic.
00:35:58.480 You had to deal with that.
00:35:59.660 And then, hey, we did this thing on insulin.
00:36:02.060 And I'm not sure what the thing on insulin is that the person listening might be saying.
00:36:06.920 But but you told me about a woman who had really high receipts and then they went down.
00:36:10.700 So, wow.
00:36:11.140 OK, apparently you did something.
00:36:12.360 That whole riff is a prepared riff.
00:36:17.040 That is their defense.
00:36:19.300 And and and there is.
00:36:22.160 There was nothing actually calling to account for the actual record, the disaster of the record.
00:36:30.840 But by the way, going back to the border.
00:36:33.380 However, her statements were not just not just the statement you raised your hand and said that you would decriminalize illegal immigration.
00:36:42.600 You've also said you would abolish ice.
00:36:44.460 Do you still want to abolish ice?
00:36:45.900 You've also said the wall was ridiculous.
00:36:47.760 Do you still want to do that?
00:36:48.720 Well, now you've said you want to build the wall.
00:36:52.060 You know, her position, you said.
00:36:55.220 And by the way, a real interview would would play this.
00:36:57.800 You said on day one, you would shut down every ice detention center and you would not detain illegal immigrants.
00:37:06.260 Abolish.
00:37:06.980 Do you still believe that?
00:37:08.380 Abolish.
00:37:08.820 But but also shut down the detention centers.
00:37:12.200 You know, you know what was nowhere in the question?
00:37:16.380 Jocelyn Nungary, Lakin Riley, Rachel Marin.
00:37:20.500 Like a real question would be.
00:37:23.440 Lakin Riley was killed by an illegal immigrant that you and Joe Biden released.
00:37:27.500 Was that a mistake to release that immigrant?
00:37:30.040 Rachel Marin was raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant that you and Joe Biden released.
00:37:33.960 Was that a mistake to release that illegal immigrant?
00:37:36.240 Jocelyn Nungary was was was was raped and killed by two illegal immigrants that you and Joe Biden released.
00:37:41.500 Was that a mistake to release that immigrant?
00:37:43.760 How many is enough?
00:37:44.820 Like that actually would be laying out.
00:37:48.880 And have you changed anything?
00:37:50.100 Why do you continue to release illegal immigrants who go on every day to murder Americans, to rape women, to to violate children?
00:37:59.980 You know, we talked about the previous podcast.
00:38:02.940 The the they just halted their plan.
00:38:06.240 Your administration flew into America over 300000 illegal immigrants a year, flew them in.
00:38:12.900 They didn't cross the border.
00:38:13.860 You flew them in from Haiti, from Cuba, from Nicaragua and Venezuela.
00:38:17.580 One of the illegal immigrants you flew in, you flew into Boston, you released him in Boston and he he raped a 15 year old girl with severe mental disabilities.
00:38:27.440 Was that a mistake to fly into this country, an illegal immigrant who raped a teenage girl?
00:38:33.920 You know what?
00:38:34.420 Those are hard questions for her to answer.
00:38:37.340 That's why she doesn't do interviews, but she still doesn't do interviews.
00:38:42.360 This was not an interview.
00:38:44.000 They sat there and knew Dana Bash is part of the campaign, just like if she was sitting there with Corrine Jean-Pierre to do a fake interview.
00:38:54.280 They know they would never get those questions because those are questions that are a real problem.
00:38:58.860 They knew they'd never get them from Dana Bash either.
00:39:01.740 Senator, finally on this, I want to go over the list.
00:39:05.440 It was an interesting list that was thrown out right after the interview.
00:39:08.660 Trump and Vance put this out, the campaign.
00:39:11.080 It said, here are all the things Kamala Harris failed to address tonight with CNN.
00:39:15.900 Kamala's support for ending cash bail for violent criminals.
00:39:19.060 Kamala's fundraising for the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which freed rioters.
00:39:23.060 Kamala's tie-breaking vote for the American Rescue Plan, which economists say fueled inflation.
00:39:29.180 Kamala's support for defunding the police.
00:39:32.160 Kamala's comments comparing policing to slavery.
00:39:35.580 Kamala's repeated praise of Bidenomics.
00:39:37.780 Kamala's support for Medicare for All, a socialist takeover of our health care system.
00:39:42.720 And that's just some of the highlights here.
00:39:45.040 Is that really what this election is going to be about?
00:39:48.860 And is that what he has to bring out in the debate that's going to be coming up fairly soon?
00:39:54.060 Yes.
00:39:54.640 Look, if this election is on Kamala's record and Donald Trump's record, if this election is on the issues, we win.
00:40:02.160 If it's not, if it is all about hopey-changey joy and Trump derangement syndrome, then Kamala could win.
00:40:15.880 And the media is going to spend billions of dollars trying to cover up all of the substantive issues.
00:40:22.860 Look, you want to see what propaganda is like?
00:40:25.600 Look at the last two questions Dana Bash has.
00:40:29.680 Now, understand, this is the first interview in over a month of the Democrat nominee to be president.
00:40:37.580 So she has been hiding from interviews for more than a month.
00:40:40.460 Like, every question is precious real estate.
00:40:43.100 Her last two questions, she turns to Tim Waltz and says,
00:40:46.400 Oh, there was an amazing image of your son at the convention, so excited, saying,
00:40:51.660 I'm proud of my dad.
00:40:53.120 And they play the video and he says,
00:40:54.660 Oh, I'm so, that was an amazing moment of his dad.
00:40:57.780 I feel great.
00:40:58.880 Like, cue the music.
00:41:02.000 Could we put some kittens and puppies around him?
00:41:04.620 You know, maybe hearts like he's a soft, tender dad.
00:41:09.560 And then, that's not enough.
00:41:12.820 Then she turns to Kamala.
00:41:14.240 Oh, there was a picture from the convention of your niece, an adorable little girl with two pigtails.
00:41:21.160 And the picture shows her looking at you, speaking, gazing adoringly.
00:41:26.400 It was inspirational.
00:41:28.880 It's a moment.
00:41:29.900 Oh, Kamala.
00:41:31.140 I mean, this is not journalism.
00:41:37.360 This is, Corrine Jean-Pierre would not have gushed more.
00:41:41.140 If it was the campaign putting out a fake documentary, the fake documentary would have closed with those two questions.
00:41:52.480 And the image, in fact, they would have faded out on the image of the little girl with pigtails gazing at Kamala as an inspirational hero.
00:42:02.380 That was CNN's objective, and that's a lot of things, but you know what it ain't?
00:42:09.200 It ain't journalism.
