Verdict with Ted Cruz - Media Ignores Hunter Biden Testimony, JAN6 Sentences Reduced, & Biden Sidelines Border Issue for 40MINS in SOTU Speech Week In Review

00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.

00:00:02.540 Guaranteed human.

00:00:05.060 It was a massive week in political news.

00:00:08.700 Welcome, it's Verdict with Ted Cruz,

00:00:10.560 Ben Ferguson with you,

00:00:11.780 and these are the big stories that you may have missed

00:00:14.340 that we talked about this week.

00:00:16.560 First up, shocking testimony from Hunter Biden,

00:00:19.440 and there was no coverage from the media

00:00:21.500 as they were obsessed with the State of the Union.

00:00:23.920 Also, lower sentences for January 6th offenders.

00:00:28.000 Why did their sentences get reduced?

00:00:30.700 Because of corruption with the Biden prosecutors.

00:00:34.620 And finally, Biden doesn't cover border security

00:00:38.300 until 40 minutes into a State of the Union speech.

00:00:42.120 It is the Week in Review, and it starts right now.

00:00:45.700 There's an impeachment inquiry that's happening

00:00:48.040 of the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden.

00:00:50.860 The media is acting like it's not happening at all.

00:00:53.820 Most people that listen to the show,

00:00:55.120 if you're not listening to the show,

00:00:57.240 you may not even know this is even happening.

00:01:00.040 There was really some shocking testimony

00:01:02.740 that happened last week in the House,

00:01:06.920 and info that was coming out from people

00:01:09.360 that were having to sit in front of this committee,

00:01:12.100 including the President's son, Hunter Biden.

00:01:15.520 He had some admissions,

00:01:16.720 and the media refused to touch this story altogether.

00:01:19.380 You wouldn't even know it was happening

00:01:20.680 if you watched the nightly news.

00:01:21.940 Well, that's exactly right.

00:01:24.440 So Joe Biden, in the 2020 presidential election,

00:01:28.120 he insisted Hunter had not made money from China.

00:01:32.080 Well, Hunter has now admitted that was a lie.

00:01:35.640 Now, he tried hard not to, but he admitted it anyway.

00:01:38.640 And so deposition testimony was released,

00:01:41.120 and let me read some of it.

00:01:42.500 Question, your father went while he was running for president

00:01:46.520 and said his family never received any money from China.

00:01:49.040 Your father, answer yes, has also said, answer you're right.

00:01:55.240 He's never received, he's never interacted

00:01:57.500 with any of your business associates.

00:01:59.180 Is that correct?

00:02:00.340 Yes.

00:02:01.480 But if you introduced him to Yi Ziaming,

00:02:05.360 that would be untrue.

00:02:07.340 No, that is not untrue.

00:02:08.880 I'm telling you this, the question being asked

00:02:11.700 that you're stating is that my father said

00:02:14.640 that I never received any money from China,

00:02:17.000 the government of China.

00:02:18.660 Unlike Jared Kushner, I've never received any money

00:02:21.620 from a foreign government.

00:02:22.760 He, question, he didn't say government of China, by the way.

00:02:27.720 He said China, from China.

00:02:29.960 Well, so understand, okay,

00:02:32.580 this is the sleight of hand he's trying to do.

00:02:36.280 He's claiming now, well,

00:02:38.480 he didn't get money technically

00:02:41.140 from the government of China.

00:02:42.540 It wasn't signed government of China.

00:02:45.540 But here's what he did admit.

00:02:48.420 He shifted it to, well, yeah, of course,

00:02:50.300 I got money from China.

00:02:51.200 It was just a Chinese company

00:02:52.880 controlled by the Chinese government

00:02:55.300 and funded by the Chinese government.

00:02:56.440 But it wasn't from the government of China.

00:02:57.620 It was from a Chinese company.

00:02:59.100 And here's, so the questioning continued.

00:03:01.760 Quote, how many millions have you received

00:03:06.680 from Chinese companies?

00:03:08.120 Because he admitted,

00:03:09.060 and this is the bombshell admissions,

00:03:10.700 I have received money from a Chinese company.

00:03:13.900 How many millions have you received?

00:03:15.620 And he said, well, he didn't know the exact amount,

00:03:18.480 but let me read this exchange.

00:03:20.340 Quote, did you receive money from China or not?

00:03:25.900 Answer, quote, I received money from a Chinese company.

00:03:30.520 Question, how many millions have you received

00:03:35.080 from Chinese companies?

00:03:37.180 Answer, I don't know the exact amount,

00:03:40.740 but I know that it was all completely legal

00:03:42.680 and it was incredibly ethical.

00:03:45.300 What a lie, right?

00:03:46.560 I mean, I'm sorry, I'm taken aback by the quote

00:03:48.980 because it's just so funny.

00:03:50.140 It's like, well, it was, it was,

00:03:52.040 I never did it, I never did it, I never did it.

00:03:53.700 Well, I did it, but it was all legal and ethical

00:03:56.020 and everything was fine.

00:03:56.980 So stop asking questions.

00:03:58.460 How dare you act like we did anything wrong?

00:04:01.200 Incredibly ethical.

00:04:02.280 And this is a guy who photographs himself smoking crack 0.95

00:04:05.660 while being with multiple prostitutes

00:04:08.000 and who's made tens of millions of dollars

00:04:11.160 selling favors from his father

00:04:13.000 who was abusing a position of public trust.

00:04:16.020 But understand, I received money from a Chinese company.

00:04:20.860 This is an admission.

00:04:22.340 And I want us to play what Joe Biden said

00:04:24.400 because I want, because you need to hear

00:04:26.140 how this is directly contrary to what Joe Biden said.

00:04:30.100 My son has not made money

00:04:32.340 in terms of this thing about,

00:04:34.600 what are you talking about, China?

00:04:36.840 I love that, this thing about,

00:04:38.280 what about this thing, oh yeah, China.

00:04:40.280 Like, I mean, what a brilliant move by him

00:04:42.460 during the presidential debates back then

00:04:44.200 where it's like, oh, China,

00:04:46.140 I don't even know what you're talking about. 0.52

00:04:47.300 It's absurd.

00:04:47.940 Look, it's a flat out lie.

00:04:51.500 My son has not made money

00:04:53.420 from what is it this thing you're talking about, China.

00:04:55.800 That's what he said.

00:04:56.940 Now, here's what Hunter said under oath.

00:04:58.720 Quote, I received money from a Chinese company.

00:05:03.660 Those two statements are categorically inconsistent.

00:05:07.920 Joe Biden lied, and he lied in the presidential debate

00:05:11.000 with Donald Trump,

00:05:12.440 and he lied about the corruption of his son.

00:05:15.460 That's what the testimony is.

00:05:16.740 And by the way, did you see that

00:05:18.500 in the 6 o'clock news this week?

00:05:20.160 Nope.

00:05:21.560 Wonder why.

00:05:23.000 Yeah.

00:05:23.440 Well, and there's also,

00:05:24.500 you and I predicted this

00:05:26.420 months and months and months ago,

00:05:28.780 that your favorite WhatsApp text ever,

00:05:31.260 which is, you know, the shakedown

00:05:32.740 with his dad sitting next to him,

00:05:34.320 he was asked about that.

00:05:35.920 And I have to go back to it

00:05:37.440 because it just, it's hysterical.

00:05:39.760 He says, I sent the text,

00:05:42.400 but I was drunk or high.

00:05:44.320 When I sent it, my dad wasn't there.

00:05:47.740 Which is exactly the alibi 0.63

00:05:49.320 we said they were going to use, right?

00:05:51.040 Oh, he was a drunk kid.

00:05:52.500 He was a high kid.

00:05:53.480 They treat him like he's a kid.

00:05:54.620 Not a grown adult in his 50s.

00:05:56.960 You know, now,

00:05:57.600 this is just a addict who was

00:05:59.700 who was desperate for cash

00:06:01.580 and didn't know what he was doing.

00:06:02.840 But it worked.

00:06:03.380 He got the cash.

00:06:04.360 He got the cash.

00:06:05.260 And he's like, oh, my dad wasn't there.

00:06:07.080 Let's just remind people.

00:06:08.560 We could have found out for a fact

00:06:10.980 using GPS data.

00:06:13.140 And we still can't.

00:06:14.300 Oh, we still can't.

00:06:15.500 OK, so explain for everybody

00:06:17.340 how we could still find that

00:06:18.460 and why and who's blocking it

00:06:20.240 from us knowing for the GPS data

00:06:22.380 if daddy was, in fact,

00:06:23.720 sitting next to his son.

00:06:25.160 So listen, it's not complicated.

00:06:27.180 We know the exact date and time

00:06:29.420 that WhatsApp text was sent.

00:06:31.920 And and the investigators,

00:06:35.560 the investigators wanted to subpoena

00:06:39.040 the GPS data on Hunter's phone

00:06:41.280 and Joe's phone.

00:06:42.800 And if they were both

00:06:44.060 in the same location,

00:06:45.120 then it would turn out

00:06:46.780 Hunter was telling the truth

00:06:47.800 that daddy was sitting there.

00:06:49.300 And the IRS whistleblowers

00:06:51.320 blocked that, said,

00:06:53.260 no, you cannot subpoena

00:06:54.780 the GPS location

00:06:56.580 because it would prove

00:06:59.100 that daddy was there

00:07:00.700 and their objective,

00:07:01.760 the Biden Justice Department's

00:07:03.360 objective from day one

00:07:05.100 has been to protect Joe Biden.

00:07:07.460 Look, look, I'll give

00:07:08.540 another example.

00:07:09.720 So so Jim Biden

00:07:10.820 provided testimony

00:07:12.940 about Hunter Biden

00:07:14.500 and had an undisclosed meeting

00:07:16.400 with a corrupt Chinese businessman 0.91

00:07:19.540 whom Hunter has called,

00:07:21.980 and this is Hunter's language,

00:07:22.960 quote, the effing spy chief of China.

00:07:26.700 Yeah, he didn't.

00:07:27.260 He didn't abbreviate effing, but

00:07:28.700 and this in particular

00:07:32.140 was a meeting that occurred

00:07:35.220 in September 2017

00:07:36.460 with Patrick Ho.

00:07:38.800 Patrick Ho was an executive

00:07:40.880 with Chinese energy conglomerate,

00:07:42.760 CEFC.

00:07:43.920 And by the way,

00:07:44.660 CEFC China Energy

00:07:45.860 paid Hunter and Jim Biden

00:07:47.220 five million dollars.

00:07:49.760 So this wasn't a small amount.

00:07:52.340 Remember, Joe Biden

00:07:53.480 said Hunter didn't get money

00:07:55.140 from that China thing,

00:07:56.080 except for that five million dollars.

00:07:59.680 But they had a meeting.

00:08:01.740 According to Jim Biden,

00:08:02.960 he and Hunter Biden

00:08:03.660 had a, quote,

00:08:04.280 pleasant lunch in Hong Kong

00:08:05.540 with Ho.

00:08:06.860 And at the end of the meeting,

00:08:09.180 Ho asked to meet alone

00:08:10.780 with Hunter Biden.

00:08:11.780 And here's the quote

00:08:12.860 from Jim Biden's deposition.

00:08:15.640 Quote, Ho said,

00:08:17.140 can I borrow Hunter

00:08:18.820 for, you know, a half hour?

00:08:21.120 We're going to go

00:08:22.060 in the next room.

00:08:23.680 And then Jim Biden said,

00:08:25.140 well, he didn't know

00:08:25.660 what they discussed

00:08:26.260 in the next room.

00:08:27.920 This is a man that

00:08:28.980 he had a half hour

00:08:30.280 private meeting

00:08:31.020 with a man

00:08:31.620 whom Hunter has described

00:08:33.100 as the effing spy chief

00:08:34.660 of China.

00:08:36.080 And by the way,

00:08:37.200 just two months

00:08:38.440 after Hunter Biden

00:08:40.840 gets pulled aside

00:08:41.700 for this secret

00:08:42.560 half hour meeting,

00:08:44.040 you know what happened

00:08:44.800 two months later?

00:08:46.900 Federal prosecutors

00:08:48.020 in New York

00:08:48.720 indicted Ho 0.86

00:08:49.680 on charges

00:08:50.920 that he offered bribes

00:08:52.200 to African officials

00:08:53.240 to obtain oil rights

00:08:54.720 for CFC China Energy

00:08:56.900 during a meeting

00:08:58.060 at the UN General Assembly

00:08:59.320 in 2014.

00:09:01.200 So this is a guy

00:09:02.920 who a couple months later

00:09:04.800 gets indicted

00:09:05.600 for bribing

00:09:06.800 public officials

00:09:08.820 and he wants to have

00:09:10.720 a private meeting

00:09:12.020 with Hunter Biden

00:09:14.640 and he does have

00:09:15.560 a private meeting

00:09:16.220 with Hunter Biden.

00:09:16.880 We know also

00:09:18.860 that CFC China Energy

00:09:20.340 paid Hunter Biden

00:09:21.560 one million dollars

00:09:23.120 to represent Ho

00:09:24.420 even though there's

00:09:25.620 no evidence

00:09:26.060 Hunter Biden

00:09:26.540 did any sort of

00:09:27.620 legal work

00:09:28.220 on any of the cases.

00:09:31.040 And you know,

00:09:31.960 one of the things

00:09:32.580 also that Ho did

00:09:34.860 is he gave Hunter Biden

00:09:36.320 a diamond ring

00:09:38.100 because, you know,

00:09:39.540 that's what the spy chief

00:09:42.520 of China should do

00:09:43.700 is give the son

00:09:45.360 of the vice president

00:09:46.220 and now the son

00:09:46.940 of the president

00:09:47.520 a diamond ring.

00:09:49.340 You know, just

00:09:49.860 but remember,

00:09:51.140 remember,

00:09:51.980 Joe Biden said

00:09:52.880 told the American people

00:09:54.220 that Hunter hadn't

00:09:55.300 gotten anything

00:09:55.920 from what is that thing

00:09:56.880 that China thing.

00:09:58.220 Now, if you want to hear

00:09:58.980 the rest of this conversation,

00:10:00.500 you can go back

00:10:01.500 and listen to the full podcast

00:10:03.080 from earlier this week.

00:10:04.980 Canadian women

00:10:05.820 are looking for more,

00:10:07.140 more of themselves,

00:10:08.200 their businesses,

00:10:09.160 their elected leaders

00:10:09.920 and the world around them.

00:10:11.340 And that's why

00:10:11.780 we're thrilled to introduce

00:10:12.940 the Honest Talk podcast.

00:10:14.440 I'm Jennifer Stewart

00:10:15.960 and I'm Catherine Clark.

00:10:17.540 And in this podcast,

00:10:18.540 we interview Canada's

00:10:19.580 most inspiring women,

00:10:21.080 entrepreneurs,

00:10:21.920 artists,

00:10:22.560 athletes,

00:10:23.180 politicians and newsmakers

00:10:24.500 all at different stages

00:10:25.820 of their journey.

00:10:26.980 So if you're looking

00:10:27.980 to connect,

00:10:28.780 then we hope you'll join us.

00:10:30.200 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast

00:10:31.540 on iHeartRadio

00:10:32.560 or wherever you listen

00:10:33.540 to your podcasts.

00:10:36.020 Now on to story number two.

00:10:38.480 You know,

00:10:38.780 we have a judicial system

00:10:40.540 that's trying to lock up

00:10:41.480 Donald Trump

00:10:41.980 everywhere they can,

00:10:42.920 going after him,

00:10:43.940 trying to bankrupt him,

00:10:45.000 bankrupt his family,

00:10:46.320 basically sending warning shots

00:10:47.800 across about any other conservative

00:10:49.240 that's thinking about

00:10:49.840 running for office.

00:10:50.900 But then we also

00:10:52.140 have learned a lot more

00:10:53.280 about what happened

00:10:54.380 on January 6th

00:10:55.940 to those

00:10:56.820 that were there

00:10:58.220 on January 6th

00:10:59.020 that were sentenced

00:10:59.820 to jail.

00:11:01.400 There was major corruption

00:11:03.120 within the Biden

00:11:05.540 Department of Justice.

00:11:07.780 And I think it's really,

00:11:08.800 this has been underreported,

00:11:10.320 and I think it's

00:11:10.860 an extremely important story

00:11:12.140 that I would challenge

00:11:13.160 everyone listening right now.

00:11:14.980 Take this part of the podcast

00:11:16.580 and put it on social media

00:11:18.620 because what we're about

00:11:20.100 to explain to you,

00:11:21.180 it tells you

00:11:22.080 just how corrupt

00:11:23.260 the Biden Department of Justice

00:11:25.120 when they come

00:11:25.820 against conservatives.

00:11:28.400 Well, unfortunately,

00:11:29.400 that's exactly right.

00:11:30.480 In the past few days,

00:11:31.320 there was a decision

00:11:32.220 from the D.C. Circuit

00:11:33.620 Court of Appeals.

00:11:34.400 Now, the D.C. Circuit

00:11:35.160 Court of Appeals

00:11:35.860 is the Federal Court of Appeals

00:11:37.100 in D.C.

00:11:38.420 It is considered

00:11:39.660 the second highest court

00:11:41.220 in the land,

00:11:41.760 second only to the U.S. Supreme Court.

00:11:43.520 There are a total

00:11:43.880 of 13 different courts

00:11:44.920 of appeals,

00:11:45.500 but the D.C. Circuit

00:11:46.280 is the most prestigious.

00:11:48.240 Judges from the D.C. Circuit

00:11:49.540 regularly become

00:11:50.700 Supreme Court justices

00:11:51.720 afterwards.

00:11:52.900 And this was

00:11:53.740 a unanimous decision

00:11:54.920 from a panel,

00:11:55.700 and it's a panel

00:11:56.440 that the full D.C. Circuit

00:11:58.740 is one of the most liberal

00:11:59.860 circuits in the country,

00:12:01.340 but this panel

00:12:02.140 was three judges

00:12:04.140 appointed by Democrats.

00:12:05.280 The opinion was authored

00:12:07.380 by Patty Millett,

00:12:08.600 who was an appointee

00:12:09.680 of Barack Obama.

00:12:11.160 It was joined

00:12:12.160 by Cornelia Pillard,

00:12:13.660 who was an appointee

00:12:14.660 of Barack Obama.

00:12:16.060 And it was joined

00:12:16.960 by Judith Rogers,

00:12:17.840 who was an appointee

00:12:18.740 of Bill Clinton.

00:12:19.520 So you have

00:12:20.160 three Democrat appointees,

00:12:23.020 and they concluded

00:12:24.780 that the Department

00:12:26.760 of Justice

00:12:27.320 was wrong

00:12:28.320 when they enhanced

00:12:30.740 the sentences

00:12:31.560 of individuals

00:12:33.220 convicted of rioting

00:12:35.640 or storming

00:12:36.120 the Capitol

00:12:36.600 on January 6th,

00:12:37.740 and they used

00:12:38.680 an enhancement

00:12:39.360 called the

00:12:40.520 Administration of Justice

00:12:41.980 enhancement.

00:12:42.900 And here's what

00:12:44.000 Judge Millett wrote

00:12:45.820 for the unanimous opinion.

00:12:47.320 Quote,

00:12:48.280 The phrase

00:12:49.020 Administration of Justice

00:12:50.220 does not encompass

00:12:51.240 Congress's role

00:12:52.300 in the electoral

00:12:53.760 certification process.

00:12:55.880 Quote,

00:12:56.980 Text,

00:12:58.140 Context,

00:12:58.960 and Commentary

00:12:59.920 show that the

00:13:01.340 Administration of Justice

00:13:02.560 refers to judicial,

00:13:04.860 quasi-judicial,

00:13:06.380 and adjunct

00:13:07.220 investigative proceedings,

00:13:09.200 but does not extend

00:13:10.540 to the unique

00:13:11.240 congressional function

00:13:12.420 of certifying

00:13:13.340 electoral college votes.

00:13:16.800 Quote,

00:13:17.680 Administration of Justice

00:13:19.300 enhancements

00:13:20.080 are typically reserved

00:13:22.100 for defendants

00:13:22.780 who disrupt

00:13:23.440 judicial proceedings,

00:13:24.900 such as a courtroom trial

00:13:26.280 or a grand jury

00:13:27.640 investigation.

00:13:28.460 more than

00:13:30.700 one hundred

00:13:32.180 of the defendants

00:13:33.820 have had

00:13:35.380 Administration of Justice

00:13:36.920 enhancements

00:13:37.860 applied to their

00:13:38.960 sentences.

00:13:40.560 Wow.

00:13:41.360 And

00:13:41.840 every one of them

00:13:43.760 now is going to go

00:13:44.820 and seek

00:13:45.620 and presumably

00:13:46.300 receive a lower

00:13:47.720 sentence and potentially

00:13:48.860 a significantly

00:13:50.060 lower sentence.

00:13:52.100 And what is striking

00:13:53.240 is

00:13:54.580 the Biden

00:13:55.620 Justice Department

00:13:56.580 sought this

00:13:57.400 enhancement

00:13:57.900 contrary to the

00:13:58.720 law

00:13:58.980 over and

00:14:00.640 over and

00:14:01.380 over again

00:14:02.040 because they

00:14:02.740 are engaged

00:14:03.760 in a jihad.

00:14:05.480 They are like

00:14:06.060 Javert going

00:14:06.980 after Jean Valjean.

00:14:08.980 It is their

00:14:09.780 quest.

00:14:10.480 Look,

00:14:10.700 Merrick Garland

00:14:11.300 has absurdly

00:14:12.140 said the

00:14:13.040 Department of

00:14:13.620 Justice has

00:14:14.200 devoted more

00:14:15.000 resources to

00:14:15.840 going after

00:14:16.480 the January

00:14:17.120 6th protests

00:14:18.380 than any

00:14:19.900 other event

00:14:21.260 in our nation's

00:14:22.180 history.

00:14:22.480 And by the way,

00:14:22.900 that includes

00:14:23.500 September 11th.

00:14:24.440 What an absurd

00:14:25.340 statement.

00:14:27.140 And to be

00:14:28.220 clear,

00:14:29.620 individuals who

00:14:30.520 engaged in

00:14:31.320 violence on

00:14:32.080 January 6th,

00:14:32.960 and there were

00:14:33.300 certainly individuals

00:14:34.120 who engaged in

00:14:34.920 violence who

00:14:35.440 assaulted police

00:14:36.280 officers,

00:14:36.700 if you engage in

00:14:37.700 violence,

00:14:38.100 you should be

00:14:38.640 prosecuted and

00:14:39.820 go to jail.

00:14:40.900 But what the

00:14:41.620 Biden Justice

00:14:42.280 Department has

00:14:42.960 done is use

00:14:44.040 the excuse of

00:14:45.120 the violence

00:14:45.860 of a limited

00:14:47.140 number of

00:14:47.780 individuals to

00:14:49.480 persecute

00:14:50.600 hundreds and

00:14:52.660 even thousands

00:14:53.600 of individuals

00:14:54.380 who engaged

00:14:55.220 in peaceful

00:14:55.840 protest,

00:14:56.580 who spoke,

00:14:57.580 who expressed

00:14:58.180 their passionate

00:14:58.900 First Amendment

00:14:59.540 views,

00:15:00.180 but did not

00:15:01.180 engage in

00:15:01.800 violence.

00:15:02.220 And this

00:15:02.560 enhancement was

00:15:04.040 an effort that

00:15:04.700 they wanted to

00:15:05.240 go after you.

00:15:05.880 Even if you

00:15:06.360 engage in no

00:15:07.080 violence,

00:15:07.460 they wanted to

00:15:07.940 lock you up. 0.67

00:15:08.480 They wanted to

00:15:08.880 lock you up a

00:15:09.460 long time for

00:15:10.760 the crime of

00:15:11.540 being a Donald

00:15:12.160 Trump supporter.

00:15:13.040 And it is

00:15:13.480 striking to have

00:15:15.420 a unanimous

00:15:16.200 decision from

00:15:17.860 three judges,

00:15:19.140 all three

00:15:19.820 appointed by

00:15:20.500 Democrat presidents

00:15:21.520 saying, no,

00:15:22.620 this is not

00:15:23.660 the law.

00:15:25.300 And of course,

00:15:26.020 sadly, the

00:15:27.620 corporate media

00:15:28.400 has not covered

00:15:29.320 this virtually at

00:15:30.300 all.

00:15:30.920 They haven't.

00:15:31.920 And it's not

00:15:32.360 just that.

00:15:32.960 It's also

00:15:33.460 journalists that

00:15:34.220 are involved.

00:15:34.960 And there's

00:15:35.720 still harassment

00:15:36.540 that's going on

00:15:37.460 from January

00:15:38.160 6th, which I

00:15:39.340 mean, this

00:15:39.820 was January

00:15:40.360 6th was, you

00:15:41.400 know, several

00:15:42.160 years ago.

00:15:42.780 Now, blaze

00:15:44.540 news investigative

00:15:46.140 writer Steve

00:15:46.900 Baker, who had

00:15:48.500 been reporting on

00:15:49.400 January 6th, was

00:15:50.660 charged.

00:15:51.680 He was, by the

00:15:52.360 FBI, handcuffed

00:15:53.420 by the FBI.

00:15:54.920 And this is

00:15:55.480 another example

00:15:56.220 of the abuse

00:15:56.920 of power here,

00:15:58.640 I think.

00:15:59.560 This is a

00:16:00.240 writer, a guy

00:16:01.120 who's been

00:16:01.400 reporting on

00:16:02.260 January 6th, and

00:16:03.540 it's like they

00:16:04.220 went after him

00:16:04.860 because they

00:16:05.240 don't like what

00:16:05.960 he was actually

00:16:06.740 reporting on.

00:16:08.760 And he said

00:16:09.820 this after he

00:16:10.860 was arrested

00:16:11.740 by the FBI.

00:16:13.180 This is what

00:16:13.600 he said.

00:16:14.120 I probably

00:16:14.920 don't have a

00:16:15.680 lot to say

00:16:16.360 right now.

00:16:17.220 I need to

00:16:17.800 process for a

00:16:18.560 little while.

00:16:19.040 I'm actually

00:16:20.740 still shaking

00:16:21.360 a little bit.

00:16:22.860 I don't like

00:16:23.900 what I just

00:16:24.360 went through.

00:16:25.200 I don't like

00:16:25.780 the deliberate

00:16:26.400 humiliation that

00:16:27.380 they put me

00:16:27.820 through.

00:16:28.200 There was no

00:16:28.640 reason to do

00:16:29.280 that.

00:16:29.600 There was no

00:16:29.920 reason to

00:16:30.320 march me into

00:16:31.660 a courtroom in

00:16:32.400 the leg chains

00:16:33.060 today.

00:16:34.880 There was

00:16:35.520 somebody there

00:16:36.140 answering for a

00:16:37.520 felony, and

00:16:38.720 they weren't in

00:16:39.360 chains.

00:16:40.720 My charges are

00:16:41.800 misdemeanors.

00:16:43.120 It's just, it's

00:16:44.520 mind-boggling.

00:16:46.100 But that is

00:16:47.300 unfortunately the

00:16:49.800 type of

00:16:50.600 selective

00:16:51.620 persecution that

00:16:53.140 January 6th

00:16:54.340 defendants are

00:16:55.080 facing.

00:16:56.260 And ultimately

00:16:57.160 what we are

00:16:58.480 looking at here,

00:16:59.600 and probably the

00:17:00.420 only reason that

00:17:01.920 many of the

00:17:03.240 January 6th

00:17:03.940 defendants have

00:17:04.540 had to go

00:17:05.000 through what

00:17:05.320 they've had to

00:17:05.980 go through is

00:17:06.880 because of what

00:17:07.420 I've talked

00:17:07.840 about so many

00:17:08.460 times and what

00:17:09.060 I've written

00:17:09.400 about so many

00:17:10.040 times.

00:17:10.480 It's called

00:17:11.200 scary words.

00:17:12.480 It doesn't

00:17:12.880 matter if it's

00:17:14.040 Stuart Rhodes.

00:17:15.320 It doesn't

00:17:15.760 matter if it's

00:17:16.720 the grandmother

00:17:17.360 who chanted

00:17:18.220 USA, USA in

00:17:19.860 the Capitol.

00:17:21.340 It's the scary

00:17:22.300 words that were

00:17:23.220 said.

00:17:23.960 If you don't

00:17:24.480 say the right

00:17:25.020 thing at the

00:17:25.520 right time and

00:17:27.680 comport to the

00:17:28.620 right narrative,

00:17:29.520 that's what

00:17:30.180 they're going to

00:17:30.660 do is they're

00:17:31.120 going to come

00:17:31.500 after us, and

00:17:32.280 that's exactly

00:17:33.240 what's happened.

00:17:34.740 These charges

00:17:35.800 have nothing to

00:17:36.440 do with my

00:17:36.800 behavior at the

00:17:37.960 Capitol.

00:17:38.680 These charges

00:17:39.180 are reflective of

00:17:40.080 what I said

00:17:40.580 before and

00:17:41.100 after my

00:17:43.240 speech.

00:17:44.040 what I

00:17:44.900 thought about

00:17:45.340 things, what

00:17:46.840 I joked

00:17:47.240 about.

00:17:48.580 That's what

00:17:49.100 this was

00:17:49.380 reflective of.

00:17:51.020 And so that's

00:17:51.740 what we're up

00:17:52.060 against right

00:17:52.500 now.

00:17:53.120 I mean, you

00:17:53.800 hear him, and

00:17:54.700 it's not what

00:17:55.560 he did on

00:17:56.020 January 6th, it's

00:17:56.640 what he said

00:17:57.060 before and

00:17:57.560 after.

00:17:58.240 He talked

00:17:58.980 about that

00:17:59.380 grandmother that

00:17:59.960 was charged

00:18:00.420 when she

00:18:00.780 chanted USA,

00:18:01.740 USA, USA.

00:18:02.680 I mean, they

00:18:03.460 went after

00:18:04.120 anyone that

00:18:04.760 was in and

00:18:05.200 around January

00:18:05.840 6th, even

00:18:06.540 if you were

00:18:07.060 not violent.

00:18:07.940 And if you

00:18:08.600 reported on it

00:18:09.360 and they don't

00:18:09.680 like your

00:18:10.040 narrative, they

00:18:10.500 came after you

00:18:11.220 and they put

00:18:11.620 this guy in

00:18:12.160 leg change.

00:18:12.720 Just to prove

00:18:13.440 a point, we

00:18:14.160 are bigger

00:18:14.640 than you.

00:18:15.820 Well, it is

00:18:16.760 selective

00:18:17.300 persecution, and

00:18:18.440 it's not

00:18:18.760 prosecution, it

00:18:19.640 is persecution.

00:18:20.300 It is targeting

00:18:21.380 the enemies of

00:18:22.980 the regime.

00:18:23.580 And I have to

00:18:24.660 say it is sad.

00:18:26.080 You know, Merrick

00:18:26.540 Garland used to

00:18:27.460 be a judge,

00:18:27.980 actually a judge,

00:18:28.660 on the D.C.

00:18:29.400 Circuit.

00:18:29.680 It was his

00:18:30.900 old colleagues

00:18:31.660 who slapped

00:18:32.180 him down.

00:18:32.680 Understand there's

00:18:33.280 a personal

00:18:33.720 element to this.

00:18:34.500 They all served

00:18:35.200 with Merrick

00:18:35.640 Garland for

00:18:36.200 years.

00:18:37.140 He was very

00:18:37.660 well respected

00:18:38.380 when he was

00:18:38.800 on the D.C.

00:18:39.420 Circuit, and

00:18:39.900 yet three of

00:18:41.100 his Democrat

00:18:41.600 appointed

00:18:42.020 colleagues just

00:18:43.000 unanimously reversed

00:18:44.380 what his

00:18:45.040 department is

00:18:45.700 doing because

00:18:47.080 it was contrary

00:18:47.960 to the law.

00:18:48.900 And it's sad

00:18:50.060 to see Merrick

00:18:51.300 Garland turning

00:18:52.160 the Department

00:18:52.720 of Justice

00:18:53.280 into just a

00:18:54.500 partisan

00:18:55.360 enforcement arm.

00:18:56.600 It's doing

00:18:57.520 enormous damage

00:18:58.660 to the rule

00:18:59.240 of law.

00:19:00.180 And two

00:19:00.640 unanimous

00:19:01.300 decisions within

00:19:02.440 days of each

00:19:04.040 other doesn't

00:19:05.260 seem to have

00:19:06.000 caused them

00:19:06.560 even a moment

00:19:07.380 of pause,

00:19:08.260 a moment of

00:19:08.860 hesitation to

00:19:09.700 say, hey,

00:19:10.860 maybe we should

00:19:11.420 change our

00:19:12.000 course.

00:19:12.640 And I will

00:19:13.460 say also more

00:19:14.240 broadly, we're

00:19:14.840 going to discuss

00:19:15.420 in a later

00:19:16.320 pod the

00:19:17.640 persecution of

00:19:18.880 the media that

00:19:20.380 the Biden

00:19:20.820 Justice Department

00:19:21.620 is engaged in.

00:19:22.400 And you just

00:19:22.760 gave a good

00:19:23.200 example, but

00:19:23.900 this is all

00:19:24.780 about not the

00:19:26.380 fair and

00:19:26.800 even-handed

00:19:27.340 administration of

00:19:28.260 justice.

00:19:28.600 This is about

00:19:29.320 abusing power

00:19:31.220 to go after the

00:19:33.100 political enemies

00:19:34.060 of the White 0.86

00:19:34.720 House.

00:19:35.380 And today, the

00:19:36.680 D.C.

00:19:37.100 Circuit decision

00:19:37.840 that just came

00:19:38.740 down a few

00:19:39.200 days ago is a

00:19:40.540 big victory for

00:19:41.520 the rule of

00:19:42.160 law against the

00:19:43.460 political abuse

00:19:44.160 of power by the

00:19:44.940 Biden Justice

00:19:45.520 Department.

00:19:47.060 As before, if

00:19:47.920 you want to hear

00:19:48.380 the rest of this

00:19:48.960 conversation on

00:19:50.120 this topic, you

00:19:50.980 can go back and

00:19:51.780 download the

00:19:52.300 podcast from

00:19:53.140 earlier this week

00:19:53.780 to hear the

00:19:54.200 entire thing.

00:19:55.040 Canadian women

00:19:56.700 are looking for

00:19:57.380 more, more

00:19:58.220 out of

00:19:58.400 themselves, their

00:19:59.220 businesses, their

00:20:00.160 elected leaders, and

00:20:01.260 the world around

00:20:01.820 them.

00:20:02.220 And that's why

00:20:02.660 we're thrilled to

00:20:03.360 introduce the

00:20:04.200 Honest Talk

00:20:04.840 podcast.

00:20:05.960 I'm Jennifer

00:20:06.460 Stewart.

00:20:07.140 And I'm

00:20:07.440 Catherine Clark.

00:20:08.360 And in this

00:20:08.820 podcast, we

00:20:09.640 interview Canada's

00:20:10.460 most inspiring

00:20:11.320 women. 0.81

00:20:12.100 Entrepreneurs,

00:20:12.800 artists, athletes,

00:20:14.080 politicians, and

00:20:14.920 newsmakers, all at

00:20:16.080 different stages of

00:20:17.000 their journey.

00:20:17.860 So if you're

00:20:18.620 looking to connect,

00:20:19.660 then we hope you'll

00:20:20.260 join us.

00:20:21.080 Listen to the

00:20:21.500 Honest Talk

00:20:21.940 podcast on

00:20:22.660 iHeartRadio or

00:20:23.660 wherever you

00:20:24.220 listen to your

00:20:24.640 podcasts.

00:20:26.800 I want to get

00:20:27.620 back to the big

00:20:28.680 story number three

00:20:29.700 of the week you

00:20:30.240 may have missed.

00:20:31.340 So I predicted

00:20:32.560 before the speech

00:20:34.340 that there were

00:20:34.800 four words that

00:20:35.840 Biden would not

00:20:36.840 say.

00:20:37.580 Laken Riley and

00:20:39.020 Jeremy Caceres.

00:20:40.500 Now, as it so

00:20:41.840 happened, he kind

00:20:43.460 of sort of said

00:20:44.240 Laken Riley, but he

00:20:45.160 almost tried to.

00:20:46.580 But he did so in

00:20:47.520 response to heckling,

00:20:48.740 to someone calling

00:20:49.600 out, say her name, 0.77

00:20:50.760 and there were many

00:20:51.600 members of Congress

00:20:52.620 wearing buttons and

00:20:54.500 pins that said,

00:20:55.740 Laken Riley, say

00:20:56.580 her name.

00:20:57.840 Yeah, he said the

00:20:58.520 wrong name.

00:20:59.920 He said Lincoln

00:21:01.100 Riley.

00:21:02.540 He was the head

00:21:03.520 football coach at

00:21:04.980 USC.

00:21:07.380 And he had one of

00:21:10.000 those buttons, so I

00:21:10.860 think one of the

00:21:11.740 members of Congress

00:21:12.360 had given it to

00:21:13.360 him.

00:21:13.640 Yes, I don't know

00:21:15.060 if it was Congressman

00:21:16.540 Andy Ogles who

00:21:17.760 actually invited me

00:21:18.960 tonight, or if it

00:21:19.960 was Marjorie Taylor

00:21:21.240 Green, but there

00:21:22.560 were a handful of

00:21:23.360 the conservative

00:21:23.980 congressmen who had

00:21:25.340 it, and what I

00:21:26.820 heard from one of

00:21:27.440 the members was

00:21:28.120 that when they

00:21:28.740 handed it to the

00:21:30.000 president, he

00:21:30.820 leaned in and he

00:21:31.160 said, oh, I like

00:21:31.640 your button.

00:21:32.920 But I don't think

00:21:33.900 it was sarcastic.

00:21:34.780 I think he

00:21:35.160 legitimately had no

00:21:36.620 idea what was going

00:21:37.500 on and what it

00:21:38.080 represented.

00:21:39.220 Well, look, when

00:21:40.600 the heckling

00:21:41.220 happened, he

00:21:42.460 responded and he

00:21:43.520 did sort of try to

00:21:44.660 say her name,

00:21:45.400 although he didn't

00:21:46.200 get it right.

00:21:46.740 But then, look,

00:21:48.740 what he said, he

00:21:50.220 said, you know, she

00:21:51.380 was killed, I'm

00:21:52.160 sorry she was

00:21:52.840 killed, and he 0.51

00:21:54.720 expressed sympathy

00:21:55.600 for the parents.

00:21:56.700 And I gotta say,

00:21:58.700 that may have been

00:21:59.640 the moment that

00:22:00.240 pissed me off the

00:22:00.940 most.

00:22:02.340 Because, listen, so

00:22:04.060 Lake and Riley's

00:22:05.320 parents were

00:22:05.920 invited, and

00:22:06.860 actually, you

00:22:08.680 know, they were

00:22:10.360 invited and they

00:22:11.500 decided not to

00:22:12.200 come.

00:22:13.200 And I understand

00:22:14.220 they are grieving

00:22:14.980 the loss of their

00:22:15.720 daughter, their home

00:22:16.520 in Georgia, and

00:22:18.680 the Georgia

00:22:21.520 House member who

00:22:22.280 invited them left

00:22:23.300 the seat vacant in

00:22:24.700 honor of Lake and

00:22:25.540 Riley.

00:22:26.940 And, you know,

00:22:29.040 frankly, they don't

00:22:30.020 want Joe Biden's

00:22:31.820 empathy.

00:22:33.020 They don't want a 0.90

00:22:33.980 Hallmark card from

00:22:35.100 him.

00:22:35.480 They want their

00:22:36.100 daughter back.

00:22:37.120 And what Joe

00:22:38.540 Biden didn't do is

00:22:41.360 take responsibility

00:22:42.720 for his direct

00:22:45.200 culpability.

00:22:45.920 And let's walk

00:22:46.860 through, Lake and

00:22:48.920 Riley never should

00:22:49.720 have been killed.

00:22:50.920 The illegal 0.99

00:22:51.520 immigrant who 0.95

00:22:52.180 murdered her was 1.00

00:22:53.400 caught.

00:22:53.880 He was apprehended

00:22:54.840 in Texas, in

00:22:55.700 El Paso.

00:22:56.820 He came illegally 0.99

00:22:57.640 from Venezuela.

00:22:58.320 We had him.

00:23:00.160 And what should

00:23:01.260 have happened is

00:23:02.080 the Biden

00:23:02.460 administration should

00:23:03.360 have followed the

00:23:03.920 law.

00:23:04.160 They should have

00:23:04.540 put him on a

00:23:04.980 plane and flown

00:23:05.940 him back to

00:23:06.400 Venezuela.

00:23:06.740 Venezuela.

00:23:07.320 And if Joe

00:23:07.880 Biden had done

00:23:08.500 that, Lake and

00:23:09.140 Riley would still

00:23:09.800 be alive today.

00:23:10.780 But it wasn't

00:23:11.660 just El Paso.

00:23:12.860 What's so frustrating

00:23:15.120 about this totally

00:23:17.120 preventable tragedy

00:23:18.080 is they could have

00:23:19.140 gotten him in New

00:23:19.680 York.

00:23:19.800 They did get him in

00:23:20.460 New York.

00:23:21.000 He committed a crime

00:23:21.800 in New York.

00:23:22.440 They let him go.

00:23:23.280 He was arrested for

00:23:24.660 endangering a child.

00:23:26.600 That's right.

00:23:27.260 But New York City,

00:23:28.300 again, run by Democrats,

00:23:29.580 calls itself a

00:23:30.220 sanctuary city, and

00:23:31.440 they let him go.

00:23:32.600 If Joe Biden had

00:23:33.560 deported him, Lake and

00:23:34.460 Riley would be alive.

00:23:35.420 If New York City had

00:23:36.300 kept him in jail, Lake

00:23:37.280 and Riley would be

00:23:37.940 alive.

00:23:38.460 Forget about New York

00:23:38.960 City.

00:23:39.600 He ends up in Athens,

00:23:40.620 Georgia, and he

00:23:41.980 steals from a store.

00:23:44.620 I forget which store

00:23:45.320 it was.

00:23:46.740 The Georgia

00:23:47.400 authorities, I think

00:23:48.440 he was cited with a

00:23:49.380 misdemeanor for

00:23:50.240 shoplifting.

00:23:51.520 You had three

00:23:52.700 distinct opportunities.

00:23:55.140 Three chances to

00:23:55.880 get rid of him.

00:23:56.640 Three chances, three

00:23:57.560 strikes you're out, and

00:23:58.500 a poor American

00:23:59.620 student winds up

00:24:00.540 dead because of it.

00:24:01.300 And by the way,

00:24:02.060 let's be clear.

00:24:02.900 Jeremy Caceres is a

00:24:04.100 two-year-old boy, a

00:24:05.240 beautiful little boy,

00:24:07.920 who was murdered just

00:24:09.260 weeks ago in Prince

00:24:10.520 George's County in

00:24:11.600 Virginia, about 30

00:24:13.360 miles from where Joe

00:24:14.680 Biden was standing.

00:24:16.300 And that little boy was

00:24:18.740 murdered again by an 0.82

00:24:19.900 illegal immigrant that 0.98

00:24:21.180 Joe Biden let go.

00:24:22.520 This is happening

00:24:23.340 across the country.

00:24:24.380 We're getting day

00:24:25.000 after day stories of

00:24:26.800 children raped by 1.00

00:24:28.760 illegal immigrants. 0.99

00:24:29.600 Joe Biden has let go.

00:24:30.700 And he had zero

00:24:32.400 acknowledgement of

00:24:33.560 that, zero intention

00:24:35.220 of changing anything.

00:24:37.160 It was just, it was

00:24:38.460 just crocodile tears of

00:24:40.100 I'm so sorry about

00:24:41.200 your daughter.

00:24:42.380 Without acknowledging

00:24:43.340 it, it happened

00:24:44.120 because of his

00:24:46.100 policies.

00:24:47.420 And he continues to

00:24:48.700 do those policies,

00:24:49.520 which means there'll be

00:24:50.480 another Lake and

00:24:51.120 Riley tomorrow and

00:24:52.760 another, another set of

00:24:54.120 parents that he again

00:24:55.620 disingenuously apologizes.

00:24:56.700 Well, and the proof

00:24:58.040 that the president

00:24:58.700 doesn't seem to care

00:24:59.520 about this issue is

00:25:00.380 the fact that it took

00:25:01.460 him 40 minutes into

00:25:02.620 an hour speech to

00:25:04.900 even mention the

00:25:06.220 border on his own.

00:25:07.440 That's how far they

00:25:08.440 buried the border issue

00:25:09.960 in his State of the

00:25:10.980 Union speech.

00:25:12.220 What I wondered when

00:25:13.400 he was browbeating the

00:25:14.840 Republicans for not

00:25:16.020 voting for even more

00:25:17.520 illegal immigration,

00:25:18.400 which is what his

00:25:18.920 border bill would have 0.98

00:25:19.760 done, is, is he just

00:25:22.880 counting on the

00:25:23.960 American people not 0.97

00:25:25.120 realizing that he is

00:25:27.800 dismantling the fence

00:25:29.700 that the Texas border

00:25:31.220 authorities are putting

00:25:32.080 up.

00:25:32.460 That it's, it's not

00:25:33.260 merely passivity that

00:25:35.160 he's allowing.

00:25:35.980 Actually, I'll give you

00:25:36.840 a little bit of, of

00:25:38.020 correction on that.

00:25:39.840 He wants to dismantle

00:25:41.480 it, but he hasn't

00:25:42.100 actually done it.

00:25:43.180 He hasn't succeeded.

00:25:44.200 No, no, no.

00:25:44.420 The razor wire is there

00:25:45.840 and, and, and they

00:25:46.840 ended up, Texas had

00:25:48.960 gotten an injunction

00:25:50.020 preventing the Biden

00:25:51.400 administration from

00:25:52.340 removing the razor

00:25:53.260 wire.

00:25:53.960 And that injunction

00:25:55.200 got reversed.

00:25:56.320 So the Biden

00:25:57.940 administration is no

00:25:59.160 longer prevented from

00:26:01.200 removing the razor wire,

00:26:02.440 but they have not done

00:26:03.720 so.

00:26:04.080 They wanted to do it.

00:26:05.280 They're prevented from

00:26:06.360 doing it.

00:26:07.000 They're then allowed to

00:26:08.080 do it, but they got

00:26:09.140 spooked by the politics

00:26:10.420 of it.

00:26:10.620 Yeah.

00:26:10.960 Wow.

00:26:11.720 Wow.

00:26:12.820 That's, that's actually

00:26:14.560 encouraging that someone

00:26:16.520 at the White House is

00:26:17.340 saying, hold on, that,

00:26:18.620 that really crazy thing

00:26:19.920 that we were going to

00:26:20.500 do.

00:26:21.200 Maybe let's hold off

00:26:22.420 for a few days.

00:26:23.420 Wow.

00:26:23.960 All right.

00:26:24.460 Before we end, I got to

00:26:25.620 get you guys reaction to

00:26:27.160 two different things.

00:26:28.700 Two clips from CNN.

00:26:30.360 You guys were obviously in

00:26:31.740 the chamber and you, you

00:26:33.500 didn't get to see all the

00:26:34.700 commentary.

00:26:35.240 I want you to hear what

00:26:36.600 CNN had to say about the

00:26:39.020 state of the union.

00:26:39.820 This is clip one.

00:26:40.960 Listen, he seemed like

00:26:42.100 Walt Kowalski.

00:26:43.000 He talked about this.

00:26:43.700 He seemed like Walt

00:26:44.300 Kowalski and Gran Torino

00:26:45.400 screaming at kids, get off

00:26:47.180 my lawn.

00:26:47.680 Like an old guy screaming 1.00

00:26:48.600 at kids.

00:26:48.840 My guess is that when he got

00:26:51.800 into the heart of his

00:26:52.680 agenda, the things that you

00:26:54.320 ridicule about the cost of

00:26:57.180 food and, you know, price

00:26:59.720 gouging and so on, I bet you

00:27:01.660 that's scored with a lot of

00:27:03.160 people.

00:27:03.500 I think that the populist

00:27:05.380 economic agenda is a powerful,

00:27:09.000 powerful thing for him.

00:27:10.440 Look, there are parts of it.

00:27:11.460 I'm not sure that the attacks

00:27:13.280 all landed exactly.

00:27:15.400 They may have landed well in

00:27:16.340 that room for sure.

00:27:17.480 And they landed well with

00:27:18.540 base voters for sure.

00:27:20.080 I'm not sure with those swing

00:27:21.100 voters that they landed as

00:27:23.760 well.

00:27:24.100 But I do think.

00:27:25.280 I mean, that's David Axelrod,

00:27:26.740 the former Obama, you know,

00:27:28.520 senior advisor who's saying,

00:27:30.480 you know, in response to one

00:27:32.020 of the commenters saying, look,

00:27:32.960 it was it was like an old guy

00:27:34.400 screaming to the kids, get off 0.88

00:27:35.480 my lawn.

00:27:35.860 It's what you said earlier,

00:27:36.720 Senator.

00:27:37.060 But they're saying CNN and

00:27:38.420 he's even admitting, hey,

00:27:39.780 there's a pretty good chance

00:27:41.600 that didn't play well or land

00:27:44.700 with independent voters.

00:27:45.800 OK, Ben, you're really

00:27:46.680 scaring me.

00:27:47.540 Are you telling me that

00:27:48.520 unbeknownst to me, I was

00:27:49.800 channeling David Axelrod on

00:27:52.080 CNN? 0.99

00:27:53.260 Holy crap. 1.00

00:27:54.180 I might have to just hang it 0.98

00:27:55.540 all up right now.

00:27:56.580 It's over.

00:27:57.020 I am off the rails.

00:27:59.260 Pour him a drink, Michael.

00:28:00.780 Pour him a drink right now.

00:28:02.220 We need to correct something.

00:28:03.720 And I got to say, even worse,

00:28:05.820 Axelrod's analogy is better.

00:28:07.840 He threw out the whole Gran Torino

00:28:09.820 like like he took it one

00:28:12.160 notch better.

00:28:12.920 I am just thoroughly humiliated.

00:28:14.780 And not only that, you'll like

00:28:16.420 this one.

00:28:17.020 So then there was another

00:28:18.360 commentator on CNN who actually

00:28:20.020 said this about the

00:28:22.380 president's speech.

00:28:23.480 Listen, he talked about

00:28:25.400 Snickers and snack chips

00:28:27.380 before before he ever got to

00:28:29.140 the border.

00:28:29.960 He was obsessed with his

00:28:31.500 political rival more than he

00:28:32.800 was obsessed with the condition

00:28:34.540 of the American people.

00:28:35.320 It was so weird.

00:28:36.840 This guy lectures us all on

00:28:38.180 unity, the soul of the nation,

00:28:39.480 and he gives the most partisan

00:28:40.880 convention speech in place of a

00:28:43.540 state of a union that I've ever

00:28:45.340 heard.

00:28:46.020 It's the literal opposite of

00:28:47.400 unity.

00:28:48.180 It's so partisan.

00:28:49.240 He's obsessed with taunting

00:28:50.400 Republicans.

00:28:50.940 It's not statesman life.

00:28:52.600 Can I just say one more thing

00:28:53.480 on Israel?

00:28:54.560 I mean, that was Scott Jennings,

00:28:56.380 a former colleague of mine who

00:28:57.860 said that.

00:28:58.800 And he's right, by the way.

00:29:00.180 I mean, he did talk about

00:29:01.280 Snickers and snack chips before

00:29:02.760 he ever got to the border.

00:29:04.640 It was his words.

00:29:05.980 It was just weird.

00:29:08.260 I like his observation that

00:29:10.520 Joe Biden thought he was at the

00:29:12.280 DNC.

00:29:13.140 Maybe that's as simple as that.

00:29:14.560 You know, he thought he walked

00:29:15.460 into the convention.

00:29:16.880 Whoopsie daisy.

00:29:17.440 It actually was a joint session

00:29:18.620 for the State of the Union.

00:29:19.700 But, you know, the man doesn't

00:29:20.940 remember his own name.

00:29:21.940 I will say one thing that that

00:29:23.720 also that clip reminded me of.

00:29:25.400 It was odd how many times he

00:29:29.040 referenced Trump.

00:29:29.920 I cannot think of any

00:29:32.560 State of the Union in my

00:29:33.720 lifetime with that many

00:29:36.040 references to your opponent,

00:29:38.620 the former president, the

00:29:39.480 former president, the former

00:29:40.320 president.

00:29:41.280 And, you know, he's like, you

00:29:42.560 know, you know, I believe in

00:29:44.640 truth and happiness and love

00:29:47.180 and puppy dogs and fairies.

00:29:49.200 And my opponent believes in

00:29:51.380 hate and suffering and misery

00:29:53.440 and dead puppies.

00:29:55.360 Mwahaha.

00:29:56.460 Like, it was just like, really,

00:29:58.680 dude?

00:29:58.860 A little defensive, you

00:30:00.400 would say.

00:30:01.880 Campaign 101.

00:30:03.020 I will tell you the list of

00:30:04.060 things Biden didn't mention in

00:30:05.520 the State of the Union.

00:30:06.040 You guys ready for this?

00:30:07.620 He did not mention U.S.

00:30:08.920 service members killed in

00:30:09.840 Afghanistan.

00:30:10.820 He did not mention U.S.

00:30:12.240 service members killed by

00:30:13.220 Iranian-backed proxies in the

00:30:14.640 Middle East.

00:30:15.380 He did not mention gas prices.

00:30:17.820 He did not mention TikTok or

00:30:19.560 China.

00:30:20.620 He did not mention North Korea.

00:30:23.240 He didn't mention Cuba.

00:30:24.380 He didn't mention school choice.

00:30:26.020 He didn't mention the

00:30:27.040 classified tax scandal.

00:30:28.140 He didn't mention Hunter Biden

00:30:29.860 or the Biden corruption.

00:30:31.060 He did not mention fossil fuels.

00:30:33.420 He did not mention deporting

00:30:34.800 illegals.

00:30:35.640 He did not mention a border

00:30:36.900 wall.

00:30:37.660 He did not mention the attacks on

00:30:39.120 pregnancy centers.

00:30:39.880 And he did not mention China's

00:30:41.620 human rights abuses.

00:30:43.560 Notice, a lot of those connect with

00:30:45.300 people that have given money to the

00:30:46.560 Biden crime family.

00:30:48.660 I'll leave it with that, Senator, your

00:30:50.680 reaction.

00:30:51.820 Well, but do you have anything to say

00:30:53.140 about how many chips are in a bag of

00:30:54.500 chips?

00:30:54.880 I think, you know, I think he did touch

00:30:57.620 on that important subject.

00:30:59.400 You know, the state of the union may be

00:31:02.180 in trouble, but the state of chips is

00:31:04.720 really in trouble.
