00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.600 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.340 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:09.280 Senator, it has been a crazy week in the world of politics between Super Tuesday,
00:00:14.700 a crazy State of the Union, and now we've got a lot of other issues that are affecting Americans.
00:00:20.480 Well, that's exactly right. We've got a lot to report on this week,
00:00:23.460 starting off with the amazing news that broke just a few days ago,
00:00:27.820 that the Biden administration actually flew 320,000 illegal immigrants into the United States.
00:00:36.280 So they're not passively sitting there responding to this invasion.
00:00:40.540 They are going out, actively soliciting illegal immigrants, flying them into America.
00:00:46.180 We'll give you all the details.
00:00:48.180 Beyond that, we've got massive wildfires that are burning in the state of Texas.
00:00:52.840 Up in the panhandle, I was there just a few days ago.
00:00:55.640 I'll give you the firsthand report from the ground.
00:00:59.080 And finally, Joe Biden at the State of the Union, this is actually an amazing story,
00:01:04.260 caught on a hot mic, talking smack, talking trash to Israel,
00:01:09.880 talking about how he's trying to bully the state of Israel.
00:01:13.820 The anti-Israel animus in this administration is remarkable.
00:01:18.000 We'll walk through it.
00:01:19.040 Yeah, it certainly is.
00:01:21.560 And that is something you do not want to miss.
00:01:23.920 I want to tell you real quick, though, about our friends over at Patriot Mobile.
00:01:26.680 If you have a cell phone, it's time for you to get rid of Woke Big Mobile and switch to Patriot Mobile.
00:01:34.820 You may not realize it in this election year,
00:01:36.840 but Big Mobile is giving massive donations to Democratic candidates,
00:01:41.000 causes, organizations, and also big donations to Planned Parenthood.
00:01:46.520 That's right, they're giving big donations to Planned Parenthood.
00:01:50.200 If you're with Big Mobile, stop giving them your money and make the switch to Patriot Mobile.
00:01:56.140 Patriot Mobile has been in business now for more than a decade.
00:01:59.240 And when I say that you get the same exact coverage that you're used to, you actually do.
00:02:04.600 When I look at my phone in the top left corner, it says Patriot.
00:02:07.360 And Patriot Mobile gives me dependable nationwide coverage,
00:02:10.540 giving me access to all three major networks.
00:02:13.160 Now, that means I get the coverage that I need without funding the woke agenda of the left.
00:02:19.300 Now, when you switch to Patriot Mobile, you're sending a message,
00:02:21.720 because when you pay that bill, about 5% of that bill every month
00:02:26.060 goes back to actually support conservative causes.
00:02:28.860 That's their mission at Patriot Mobile.
00:02:30.920 They give money to organizations that support free speech, religious freedom,
00:02:34.840 the sanctity of life, defending our Second Amendment,
00:02:37.940 as well as giving back to our military, our veterans, and our wounded warriors.
00:02:42.220 So, make the switch.
00:02:44.320 Go to PatriotMobile.com slash verdict.
00:02:47.580 That's PatriotMobile.com slash verdict.
00:02:50.400 Or just call them.
00:02:51.720 Their 100% U.S.-based customer service team makes switching easy.
00:02:55.840 You can keep your same cell phone number,
00:02:57.780 keep your same phone you have in your hand right now,
00:02:59.780 or upgrade to a new one.
00:03:01.640 972-PATRIOT.
00:03:02.720 That's 972-PATRIOT.

00:03:12.840 Senator, I want to talk about this issue,
00:03:15.400 and it really did not get a lot of media attention,
00:03:18.680 and it absolutely should.
00:03:20.780 And it's something that I hope verdict listeners will expose
00:03:23.860 and spread this everywhere on social media.
00:03:26.700 The Biden administration has flat-out admitted now
00:03:29.800 that they flew in 320,000 illegal immigrants secretly into the U.S.
00:03:37.580 to, quote, reduce the number of crossings at the southern border.
00:03:40.600 So, we're importing illegal immigrants,
00:03:43.620 and they will not tell us what cities they dropped these illegal immigrants off in.
00:03:48.840 Well, Ben, every word you just said there is true,
00:03:53.620 and what's astonishing is, number one,
00:03:55.480 you can't learn any of it listening to the corporate media.
00:03:58.440 CNN won't report on it.
00:03:59.820 ABC, NBC, CBS, they won't report on it.
00:04:02.720 But every element of that is astonishing.
00:04:05.620 So, look, Joe Biden, the administration,
00:04:08.740 likes to portray themselves as helpless victims.
00:04:11.620 There was just this massive influx of illegal immigration.
00:04:15.220 They had nothing to do with it.
00:04:16.380 It was not their fault.
00:04:17.260 They were just innocent bystanders.
00:04:19.760 Well, this story, it's not just the 10.4 million illegal immigrants
00:04:26.280 that have crossed illegally under Joe Biden
00:04:29.700 that have been encountered at the southern border
00:04:32.020 or that we know about their gotaways.
00:04:35.160 The Border Patrol saw them.
00:04:36.360 They spotted them, but they got away.
00:04:38.000 It's not just that.
00:04:39.560 But just in the last few days, it broke.
00:04:41.820 The Biden administration flew over 320,000 illegal immigrants secretly into the U.S.
00:04:51.100 And understand, this is not flying them from McAllen or Laredo or El Paso to somewhere else in the U.S.
00:04:58.220 This is flying them from foreign countries.
00:05:01.440 So the Biden administration is connecting with illegal immigrants in foreign countries, saying,
00:05:07.560 hey, you want to come illegally to America?
00:05:10.640 We will fly you.
00:05:12.280 We will put you on a plane.
00:05:14.280 We will fly you illegally into this country.
00:05:16.380 By the way, they have an easy solution.
00:05:18.360 If they don't want to do that, they could just say, we're not going to fly you.
00:05:21.720 But they didn't do that.
00:05:23.680 And then amazingly, when this story broke, the Biden administration's position is,
00:05:28.900 we're not going to tell you what cities that we flew these 320,000 illegal immigrants to.
00:05:37.040 And they're simply refusing to answer that question.
00:05:41.020 They said it was a security issue.
00:05:43.420 They said it was a security issue.
00:05:44.900 And that's why, which is the biggest load, I'm sorry, of BS ever.
00:05:48.200 Yes.
00:05:48.420 I mean, this is a cover up because they know that local cities, mayors will be probably furious if they didn't know about this.
00:05:57.600 This goes back to what we saw with the federal government doing this in the middle of the night.
00:06:01.400 Remember when they were dropping off people that came into America from Texas on airplanes,
00:06:06.480 on buses in the middle of the night in smaller cities without notifying local authorities there?
00:06:11.820 This is corruption at a whole nother level.
00:06:13.880 Yeah, and understand, the reason we know this is not because the Biden administration told us.
00:06:19.900 It's not because they told the American people and said, hey, we're doing this.
00:06:23.380 We think this is important.
00:06:24.700 What happened was they were sued.
00:06:26.500 They were sued under the Freedom of Information Act by the Center for Immigration Studies.
00:06:31.320 And in response to that lawsuit, they released documents that showed that the Biden administration had paid for secretive flights of hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants.
00:06:46.780 And they flew them into at least 43 different American airports.
00:06:53.000 And this is from January to December of 2023.
00:06:56.060 So this is last year.
00:06:57.840 320,000 illegal immigrants they flew into.
00:07:00.660 And the amazing thing is, when asked what were the 43 airports you flew them into, they said, we can't tell you.
00:07:06.540 That would be a security risk.
00:07:07.720 So every community, if you're listening to this and you're in any city in America, you ought to be asking, is my city one of the 43 that Joe Biden and his apparatchiks flew illegal immigrants into?
00:07:21.680 They're not answering this.
00:07:23.360 And they used an app.
00:07:25.700 So the Biden administration came out with an app called the CBP One app, which lets an illegal immigrant in a foreign country click on the app and say, hey, I'd like to invade America.
00:07:38.300 And apparently Joe Biden said, that's awesome.
00:07:41.100 We'll fly you here illegally and let you stay here.
00:07:44.620 I mean, it just at this point, I'm literally at a loss for words.
00:07:49.540 When you look at this, what oversight is there from Congress, from the Senate?
00:07:56.620 How can the federal government do this and not alert you guys to a program that went for an entire year, the last fiscal year that we know about, and 320,000?
00:08:08.580 How do you hide that financially?
00:08:10.420 I mean, these are basically charter flights, charter planes that are coming into the country.
00:08:15.100 How many flights does it take to bring 320,000 plus illegal immigrants that you are?
00:08:23.540 And I want to say this word again, because I think this is the part that vertical listeners need to take a hold of importing.
00:08:29.340 They had not broken into America.
00:08:31.320 We're importing.
00:08:32.520 The Biden administration was importing them into America's interior.
00:08:36.800 How much money was this?
00:08:38.220 Do you know?
00:08:39.660 I have no idea.
00:08:41.380 And it is incredible.
00:08:45.400 But you asked how many flights.
00:08:47.420 Let me give you an example.
00:08:48.880 A Boeing 737, one of the most common commercial airliners in the world.
00:08:54.920 Seats between 108 and 215 passengers, depending on how it's set up.
00:09:01.960 So 320,000, that means you're looking at over 1,000 flights.
00:09:08.920 And it may be as many as 2,000 flights.
00:09:13.340 If they averaged 150 passengers a flight, then it is over 2,000 flights that the Biden administration booked.
00:09:21.420 They did so secretly.
00:09:23.420 They hid them.
00:09:25.060 They flew them into cities all over America, 43 cities.
00:09:29.780 And they didn't tell Congress, or if they told Congress, they certainly didn't tell me.
00:09:33.620 I don't know of anyone in Congress who knew this.
00:09:35.680 And their whole story is, well, gosh, what are we supposed to do when they come here illegally?
00:09:41.720 Well, here's a crazy idea.
00:09:43.940 Don't charter them a private plane to fly them illegally to America.
00:09:49.200 I mean, it really is.
00:09:50.280 And by the way, the app I mentioned that they used, the CBP1 app,
00:09:54.480 that is eligible for people coming from Haiti, from Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, and Ecuador.
00:10:06.680 And so 320,000 additional illegal immigrants.
00:10:10.360 And by the way, one of those countries is Venezuela.
00:10:12.680 Venezuela, I'll tell you a question I want to know, which is the illegal immigrant who murdered Lakin Riley.
00:10:20.560 Did the Biden administration actually pay to charter a plane to fly him to America?
00:10:26.400 I don't know the answer to that.
00:10:28.280 But the CBP1 app worked from Venezuela.
00:10:32.220 He came from Venezuela.
00:10:33.660 So he could well be in this group.
00:10:36.060 And you know what?
00:10:37.200 Nobody in this White House is answering that question.
00:10:40.120 Did they literally charter flight into America the murderer that murdered that 22-year-old young woman in Georgia?
00:10:48.920 Let's talk about the overall narrative here.
00:10:51.200 You and I have been talking about this on Verdict for quite some time.
00:10:54.460 And that is, it is very clear that this president and the Democratic Party, I say it again, I think the Democratic Party is dead.
00:11:02.060 I think they're masquerading as communists, socialists, and Marxists.
00:11:04.940 They obviously are trying to fundamentally change this country.
00:11:07.960 We know that they have said, come as many of you as you can, as fast as you can across our border, into any border state.
00:11:15.480 Obviously, Texas is affected, I would say, the most by this out of any state.
00:11:19.980 But this is now on a level that I didn't even think was possible, that it's not good enough just to open the border to the fentanyl, open the border to the people that are coming across killing, opening the border to millions of illegal immigrants.
00:11:37.040 Senator, this is now an orchestrated effort to import illegal immigrants and a very expensive price tag.
00:11:45.060 I mean, my point is, you're saying the $20 million that have come across wasn't enough?
00:11:49.320 You had to go spend primo dollars to bring in another $300,000 plus?
00:11:53.100 And is this still happening right now, is the other question I have for you.
00:11:57.700 Yeah, look, we have no idea, because they won't answer those questions.
00:12:01.940 They keep them secret from the American people.
00:12:04.740 But I got to say, I want to ask everyone listening to this podcast, ask yourself a question.
00:12:10.280 Before this pod, did you know about this?
00:12:13.340 And if not, why?
00:12:17.080 How can you not be pissed that the 6 o'clock news didn't lead with this?
00:12:23.600 How can you not be pissed that CNN won't cover this, that the Washington Post won't cover this, that the New York Times won't cover this, that whatever paper you read in whatever city you live in won't cover this?
00:12:34.660 This is a remarkable thing.
00:12:37.640 We're looking at, if you assume an average of 150 passengers on a plane, we're looking at over 2,000 flights chartered by the Biden administration to fly people into America illegally.
00:12:51.840 That they want this to happen, that they want this to happen, that there's no explanation that is consistent with this other than they want this invasion and they want more.
00:13:03.820 And I got to say, to any reporter, and by the way, it's an interesting thing, quite a few reporters listen to this podcast.
00:13:12.200 To any reporter, if you're around any Democrat senator, and you actually care about journalism, there's a quiet little voice somewhere buried deep in your heart that says,
00:13:22.240 Gosh, I wish I wish I could be a real journalist. I wish I wasn't just a mouthpiece for the regime.
00:13:29.340 You ought to ask every Democrat senator you can find. You ought to ask every Democrat House member you can find.
00:13:36.740 Did you know that the Biden administration flew 320,000 illegal immigrants into America last year?
00:13:45.580 That they spent taxpayer funds to human traffic people. That's what they're doing.
00:13:50.700 They're saying, you want to come illegally to America? We will charter a plane for you.
00:13:56.980 And every reporter ought to ask, every Democrat in Congress, did you know?
00:14:01.760 And if you didn't know, how do you feel about that? Is that a good idea?
00:14:06.060 Every single Democrat ought to go on record saying, is it a good idea or not?
00:14:10.340 Because the Biden administration, by the way, we had a State of the Union speech just a few days ago last week.
00:14:17.420 Amazingly, Biden didn't say anything about it. He could have said, I'm engaged in this great humanitarian rescue.
00:14:24.840 So I'm flying 320,000 people illegally into this country, just letting him go.
00:14:29.800 He didn't say that because no one in their right mind would admit to that.
00:14:35.000 And that's exactly what they're doing.
00:14:36.360 Canadian women are looking for more, more out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them.
00:14:43.340 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:14:47.060 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:14:48.240 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:14:49.480 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women.
00:14:53.260 Entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.
00:14:58.660 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:15:02.200 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:15:06.360 Final question on this is, can you guys get the number, you think, in Congress of how much money this whole plan has cost the American taxpayers?
00:15:18.800 Because at the bare minimum, we should know what these charter flights cost.
00:15:22.600 Or can they continue to refuse to answer that question and just say, we're not going to tell you how much money we're spending on this?
00:15:30.140 So we should be able to get those numbers.
00:15:32.180 In the Senate, we can ask for them.
00:15:35.480 But when we ask for them, the Biden administration's standard practice is basically to say, pound sand.
00:15:41.040 That they have a practice across virtually every agency of refusing to cooperate with Congress.
00:15:47.320 In the House, they have the ability not only to ask for these data, but to issue subpoenas.
00:15:53.880 They have a majority.
00:15:54.600 I can't issue a subpoena in the Senate because I don't have a majority.
00:15:58.100 So if I try to issue a subpoena, the Democrats will vote no.
00:16:02.600 You've got to have a majority to have the votes to be able to issue a subpoena.
00:16:06.140 But the House has the majority.
00:16:07.880 And so I will say to my friends and colleagues in the House, I hope they issue those subpoenas.
00:16:13.020 I hope they lay out the facts.
00:16:15.320 That is incredibly valuable.
00:16:17.300 And by the way, one of the amazing things.
00:16:19.780 So the House did the right thing.
00:16:21.400 It impeached Alejandro Mayorkas.
00:16:24.460 I've got to say I was astonished at the State of the Union.
00:16:28.480 Mayorkas was sitting there on the floor of the House.
00:16:31.660 He was grinning ear to ear.
00:16:33.800 He looked happy.
00:16:34.740 He looked confident.
00:16:35.600 He was smirking the whole time at the American people saying, I am leading an invasion of this country.
00:16:44.600 Understand, it's not that Mayorkas is incompetent and it's not even that he is lazy.
00:16:50.820 It's that he wants this invasion to happen.
00:16:54.300 Joe Biden wants this invasion to happen.
00:16:56.940 And every elected Democrat wants this invasion to happen.
00:17:00.900 No doubt about it.
00:17:02.160 And it's going to be a campaign issue going into November.
00:17:04.680 I think everyone running should make it an issue on the Republican side.
00:17:07.880 Certainly Donald Trump will.
00:17:09.400 But Americans should be furious about this.
00:17:11.820 I want to tell you about our friends over at Blackout Coffee real quick.

00:18:41.900 Senator, I also want to talk about what's happening with these wildfires.
00:18:45.160 It has not been getting, I think, the attention it deserves.
00:18:47.960 You've been down to see the wildfires that have exploded in Texas.
00:18:51.220 Give us an update, especially for everybody listening in Texas.
00:18:55.820 But also others in the country that may have family and friends in Texas.
00:19:00.280 What's happening with these wildfires?
00:19:02.040 And they have really grown.
00:19:03.780 Well, the state of Texas is facing a massive natural disaster right now.
00:19:08.620 And you're right.
00:19:09.640 The news has not been covering it the way they should.
00:19:12.820 The panhandle, which is the northern part of Texas, is on fire right now.
00:19:17.860 And the magnitude of these fires.
00:19:19.320 There's actually multiple fires.
00:19:20.960 But collectively, you look at all the fires in the panhandle.
00:19:24.560 They comprise over 1.2 million acres of land.
00:19:31.580 That is a massive amount of land that is on fire right now.
00:19:35.220 And to put that in perspective, that is the largest wildfire in the history of the state of Texas.
00:19:42.820 And it is the second largest wildfire in the history of the United States of America.
00:19:48.880 It is burning right now.
00:19:51.820 How big is 1.2 million acres?
00:19:53.940 Well, I'll give you one frame of reference.
00:19:55.960 It is larger than the state of Rhode Island.
00:19:59.980 It is bigger than a state.
00:20:01.500 We have more than an entire state that is on fire right now.
00:20:06.140 Now, last week on Monday, I was up in the panhandle.
00:20:10.100 I flew up to go there.
00:20:11.740 I went to the town of Fritsch.
00:20:13.420 I went to the town of Berger.
00:20:15.000 I met with local officials, with mayors, with county judges, with police chiefs, with fire chiefs.
00:20:21.340 I met with volunteers, with volunteers at churches and charities.
00:20:26.020 And I just said, thank you.
00:20:28.260 Thank you for your heroism.
00:20:30.160 I met with families who had lost everything.
00:20:34.080 The town of Fritsch that I was in.
00:20:37.160 Fritsch has a population of just about 1,800 people.
00:20:42.040 In that very small, very rural town, they estimated that as of last Monday, as of a week ago,
00:20:49.800 they had lost 242 homes in a town of 1,800 people.
00:20:56.020 I went and toured the rubble.
00:20:58.140 I saw these homes that were burnt to the ground.
00:21:02.960 You know, as I was walking along residential streets and seeing home after home just burned to ashes,
00:21:12.020 it was astonishing.
00:21:13.680 I went to one home.
00:21:15.600 There was a truck parked outside.
00:21:17.560 The home was entirely burned.
00:21:20.320 The truck was incinerated.
00:21:22.300 The windshield had melted into pools of glass.
00:21:26.980 I've never seen melted glass out of a windshield, and yet that truck, the heat was so intense.
00:21:32.680 There was, in front of that same house, there was a motorcycle.
00:21:35.280 It looked like a Harley.
00:21:37.000 And the fire had consumed it.
00:21:39.220 The tires were utterly disintegrated.
00:21:42.420 You could see the radial steel in the tires that was just all that remained.
00:21:48.660 There was a bass boat that was parked in the driveway that had been utterly consumed with flames,
00:21:56.900 and you just saw melted fiberglass that had melted down.
00:22:01.420 So you had the boat carrier, which was still there because it was steel,
00:22:05.300 and the melted fiberglass had just drifted, dripped down.
00:22:09.980 And I got to say, I talked with families who had lost everything.
00:22:16.080 And I got to tell you, Ben, the fighting spirit.
00:22:21.280 When I talked to people who had lost everything, they said,
00:22:23.980 you know what?
00:22:24.900 Our family's still alive.
00:22:26.500 We're grateful.
00:22:27.820 We'll rebuild.
00:22:28.540 It's incredible.
00:22:30.560 What is it that they need, and how can people help?
00:22:35.380 Every time that something like this happens, you see the people,
00:22:39.280 not just in Texas, help their fellow Texans, but other people,
00:22:43.260 and especially, I got to say, our audience, you guys are amazing.
00:22:47.940 Y'all get involved, whether it's helping people in Israel or people in Texas right now.
00:22:53.780 But what are the needs, and what can people do?
00:22:56.020 Well, right now, the most immediate need is saving people's lives.
00:23:01.160 This disaster is unfolding right now.
00:23:03.780 We had several days ago, we had some cold weather.
00:23:06.600 We had some snow and ice.
00:23:08.500 That helped.
00:23:09.740 Snow and ice is very good for slowing down the spread of a fire.
00:23:13.540 But unfortunately, then the weather got warmer and windier,
00:23:17.940 and that accelerated the spread of the fire.
00:23:20.860 There are firefighters who are fighting this fire right now,
00:23:24.660 and they are risking their lives.
00:23:26.840 When I was up there in the panhandle,
00:23:28.860 they had over 60 different fire departments from all around Texas
00:23:34.640 and from all around the country who had sent firefighters.
00:23:38.960 And I got to tell you, I met with the fire chief, volunteer fire chief,
00:23:44.520 in Fritch, a little bitty town.
00:23:47.320 His name was Zeb Smith, and I met with him on Monday a week ago.
00:23:54.880 And Zeb is a great guy.
00:23:56.500 He was fighting on the ground.
00:23:58.360 He was defending his city.
00:24:00.320 I asked him at the time, I said, listen, have any firefighters been injured?
00:24:04.820 And he said, thank God, no.
00:24:07.520 That was on Monday of last week.
00:24:09.280 Chief Smith died on Tuesday of last week.
00:24:15.280 Wow.
00:24:16.340 Less than 24 hours after I stood with him and asked,
00:24:20.820 have any firefighters been injured?
00:24:23.520 Chief Smith ran the next day on Tuesday of last week.
00:24:27.860 He ran into a burning home to fight the fire,
00:24:31.020 and he ended up being killed, giving his life in defense of his community.
00:24:37.220 So last week I stood on the Senate floor.
00:24:40.360 I gave a speech in honor of all the people who have lost incredibly,
00:24:46.360 and in particular in honor of Chief Smith.
00:24:49.540 I got to say, I don't think I've ever been with someone,
00:24:52.480 spoken with someone the day before they lost their life heroically.
00:24:57.840 That is a first for me.
00:25:00.300 And so I gave a speech with a picture of Chief Smith next to me.
00:25:04.360 I had a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol in Chief Smith's honor.
00:25:10.880 The first priority is stopping these fires, and I will say,
00:25:15.160 if you're a listener of Verdict and you're in the panhandle,
00:25:19.420 or you're in the panhandle of Oklahoma because it's spread into Oklahoma as well,
00:25:25.100 what I would say is listen to your local officials.
00:25:28.960 Listen to emergency responders, and if they give you an evacuation order, get out.
00:25:34.460 Take this seriously.
00:25:37.200 Do not risk your family.
00:25:38.740 Do not risk your children.
00:25:40.280 Do not risk your loved ones.
00:25:41.920 In many ways, it is miraculous, with a fire as massive as this one,
00:25:47.880 that to date there have been just three people who were killed.
00:25:52.140 Now, we grieve those three,
00:25:53.720 but it would have been very, very easy to imagine dozens or even hundreds of people killed.
00:26:00.680 Yet 242 houses burned to the ground,
00:26:04.040 and miraculously the residents of those houses,
00:26:06.820 most of them survived and escaped.
00:26:09.460 And it was interesting.
00:26:11.000 When I was talking to the local officials,
00:26:13.300 I said, well, what's happened to the residents of all those homes?
00:26:17.740 And the county judge told me, said, listen, we stood up a shelter in a local church.
00:26:23.580 She said, at this point, we have fewer than a half dozen people there.
00:26:28.040 That everyone who lived in those 242 houses,
00:26:32.000 almost all of them are with friends and family.
00:26:35.920 And what you said, Ben, a minute ago is really important to know,
00:26:39.320 which is, look, Texas is a big state.
00:26:42.360 It's a big state.
00:26:44.100 I've been senator for 12 years.
00:26:46.000 Part of the job is being on the ground when you see Texans hurting,
00:26:51.980 when you see a natural disaster.
00:26:53.360 I've seen a lot of them.
00:26:54.540 I've seen hurricanes.
00:26:55.860 I've seen tornadoes.
00:26:56.960 I've seen explosions.
00:26:58.340 I've seen fires like this fire.
00:27:01.680 100% of the time, without fail,
00:27:04.940 when there's a disaster, when people are suffering, when they're hurting,
00:27:08.420 it is also incredibly inspirational.
00:27:13.740 I am never more proud to be a Texan than when we are facing a disaster,
00:27:18.220 and I see the courage that Texans show.
00:27:23.240 Inevitably, Texans step up and they help their fellow Texans.
00:27:26.860 And by the way, you know, when Hurricane Harvey happened,
00:27:29.560 which is the second most costly natural disaster in U.S. history,
00:27:33.840 when that happened and large chunks of the Gulf Coast were underwater,
00:27:38.740 my hometown, your town that you live in, Houston,
00:27:43.140 much of Houston was underwater.
00:27:45.620 And you had thousands of people that jumped in boats, bass boats,
00:27:51.020 and went and rescued their neighbors.
00:27:53.560 And they went into their homes because there was 5, 6, 7, 8,
00:27:56.480 10 feet of water covering the roads, and they'd just get in their boat.
00:27:59.960 They'd go pull people out of harm's way.
00:28:01.380 They'd rescue them, and it was rednecks in bass boats.
00:28:07.460 It was incredible.
00:28:09.220 And by the way, when they rescued someone,
00:28:12.680 nobody asked what party are you.
00:28:14.840 Are you Republican or Democrat?
00:28:16.640 Nobody asked your race.
00:28:18.640 Nobody asked your ethnicity.
00:28:20.000 Nobody asked your religion.
00:28:22.180 Amen to that.
00:28:23.360 Texans helping Texans.
00:28:25.840 And that, I saw that in the panhandle on Monday last week,
00:28:32.560 that in the face of tragedy, people are stepping forward.
00:28:37.060 You ask, how can you help?
00:28:38.300 The Red Cross is on the ground.
00:28:40.000 The Salvation Army is on the ground.
00:28:42.020 Churches and charities are helping.
00:28:44.140 I went and thanked lots of volunteers who were just providing food
00:28:47.880 and diapers and clothing and just to people who lost everything.
00:28:52.080 Get involved.
00:28:53.500 That's the number one thing, and help however you can.
00:28:56.900 And the tragedy there, as you mentioned,
00:28:59.040 with the men and women that are risking their lives to fight this fire
00:29:01.960 and save their neighbor and their family and their friends' homes,
00:29:04.600 it's truly incredible.
00:29:05.920 And I hope they get this fire under control,
00:29:08.500 and I hope that there's lots of rain for this area
00:29:11.440 that can help them make these fires not spread so quickly there.
00:29:14.200 We'll keep you updated on it.
00:29:15.520 But I know that's an important update that we need to have,
00:29:18.580 especially for the people in Texas.
00:29:21.400 Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
00:29:23.320 Senator, I want to also finally—
00:29:24.740 Hold on.
00:29:25.520 Before we finish this,
00:29:27.880 I want to tell you a personal aspect of this.
00:29:32.100 So I have a good friend of mine who lives up in the panhandle,
00:29:34.820 in a town in the panhandle called Canadian.
00:29:37.780 And I shot her a text on Monday.
00:29:41.320 And it was just—I just said,
00:29:43.420 Hey, how are you doing?
00:29:44.820 Was your home affected by the fires?
00:29:46.480 And I said, I'm up in the panhandle today,
00:29:48.200 and I'm thinking about you and praying for you.
00:29:51.200 And I had no idea that she had experienced anything.
00:29:55.020 Here was her response.
00:29:56.240 She said, Thanks.
00:29:59.040 Reassuring to hear from you.
00:30:01.480 Lost my home and barns and half my cows.
00:30:07.380 Like 50 of my closest friends.
00:30:12.920 My losses are on the low end
00:30:15.020 compared to the thousands and thousands of animals
00:30:19.260 dead and injured
00:30:21.220 among just two to three ranches here.
00:30:24.840 Love to you and yours.
00:30:26.280 Pray for rain.
00:30:27.440 Pray for the cows and the ranchers who love them.
00:30:30.320 So think about this.
00:30:31.400 She's sitting there.
00:30:32.160 I didn't know that she was in harm's way.
00:30:35.000 She lost her home.
00:30:37.240 She lost her barn.
00:30:39.880 She lost half of her cattle.
00:30:42.660 And her reaction is she feels grateful
00:30:44.600 because the ranchers on either side of her
00:30:47.120 lost all of their cattle.
00:30:50.480 And that—you want to talk about
00:30:53.100 the frontier spirit of the panhandle,
00:30:55.840 of tough and hardy Texans.
00:30:58.080 That embodies it.
00:30:59.500 And by the way, she followed up with me
00:31:02.480 and said today, she said,
00:31:05.540 Here's two bright spots in my life.
00:31:08.580 A new baby cow.
00:31:11.220 Phoenix, or Fifi for short.
00:31:14.540 We are feeding because mama cow cannot
00:31:18.840 because of burned udders.
00:31:21.400 So understand, these are ranchers raising cattle
00:31:24.300 and there's mama cow.
00:31:26.620 Her udders are burned.
00:31:27.700 She can't feed the calf
00:31:29.940 and so they're feeding the baby cow
00:31:32.200 but they're celebrating.
00:31:33.560 And then my friend also said,
00:31:34.980 and there's some old spurs
00:31:36.380 she found in her house,
00:31:38.280 the house that had burned down,
00:31:39.840 that my great-grandfather
00:31:42.060 gave to my dad when he was seven years old.
00:31:45.800 My sister and I both wore them
00:31:48.080 till we figured out the story and the age.
00:31:51.780 I mean, how amazing,
00:31:53.300 and she sent me pictures,
00:31:54.600 both of this baby calf
00:31:56.080 and of these spurs.
00:31:59.120 The house had burned down
00:32:00.640 but the spurs survived.
00:32:02.600 And I gotta say,
00:32:04.340 look, that's the spirit of Texans
00:32:06.560 and it is inspiring.
00:32:09.020 Unbelievable story there, Senator.
00:32:10.820 And like I said earlier,
00:32:12.140 anyone that can help,
00:32:13.240 help the people in Texas right now,
00:32:15.320 it's so vitally important
00:32:16.420 those affected by these wildfires
00:32:17.800 with all the groups
00:32:18.760 that are on the ground there.

00:33:47.060 Finally, I want to move on
00:33:48.340 to one other issue real quick.
00:33:50.180 And that is we found out
00:33:52.320 what Joe Biden was saying
00:33:54.100 as he decided to hang out
00:33:55.220 on the floor of the House
00:33:56.760 for, I don't know,
00:33:57.420 about an hour after
00:33:58.260 the State of the Union.
00:33:59.120 He was caught on a hot mic
00:34:01.060 and his staff was just,
00:34:03.080 I mean, closing their eyes,
00:34:05.320 shaking their heads.
00:34:06.800 Are you kidding me?
00:34:08.200 When Joe Biden was talking
00:34:10.340 about what's going on in Israel
00:34:13.180 and a conversation that he had
00:34:15.200 with Netanyahu.
00:34:16.740 Take a listen to this
00:34:18.260 caught on a hot mic.
00:34:19.380 I was telling your secretary,
00:34:36.720 you know,
00:34:36.900 I was in Jordan
00:34:38.020 and Israel
00:34:39.240 last weekend
00:34:41.400 and you know,
00:34:43.300 you've got to keep pushing
00:34:44.240 what you're doing
00:34:44.980 on the humanitarian stuff
00:34:46.400 and all the stuff
00:34:47.320 so good.
00:34:49.200 I told him,
00:34:51.040 baby,
00:34:51.660 come and do this.
00:34:53.280 I said,
00:34:53.540 if you know,
00:34:54.220 come on,
00:34:54.820 Jesus.
00:34:54.960 Sir, just,
00:34:55.500 just,
00:34:56.140 I'm a hot mic here,
00:34:59.080 but
00:34:59.240 that was good.
00:35:02.460 Senator,
00:35:03.060 you can hear
00:35:03.980 Joe Biden there
00:35:05.660 and for people
00:35:06.680 that maybe had a hard time
00:35:07.960 hearing exactly
00:35:09.120 what he said,
00:35:09.860 give a little bit
00:35:10.800 of a play-by-play here
00:35:12.020 of what he was saying
00:35:13.440 and this is a president
00:35:14.300 that's basically saying,
00:35:15.260 oh yeah,
00:35:15.640 I'm going to,
00:35:16.020 I'm going to take my hand
00:35:17.220 off of Israel.
00:35:18.860 So the quote,
00:35:19.920 if he had a hard time
00:35:20.760 hearing it,
00:35:21.240 but the hot mic
00:35:21.860 picked it up,
00:35:22.480 he said,
00:35:22.980 quote,
00:35:23.240 I told him,
00:35:25.780 Bibi,
00:35:26.660 and don't repeat this,
00:35:28.560 but you and I
00:35:29.480 are going to have
00:35:30.240 a come to Jesus meeting
00:35:32.120 and so he's bragging
00:35:34.540 to a fellow Democrat
00:35:35.700 about how
00:35:37.740 he was threatening
00:35:39.800 the Prime Minister
00:35:41.320 of Israel,
00:35:41.940 Benjamin Netanyahu,
00:35:42.960 his nickname is Bibi,
00:35:44.640 but
00:35:44.920 number one,
00:35:46.640 let me just say,
00:35:47.860 look,
00:35:48.220 you and I
00:35:48.920 are both Southern Baptists,
00:35:50.240 we both believe
00:35:51.640 Jesus is our Savior,
00:35:53.240 but I got to say,
00:35:54.900 just saying to the
00:35:56.640 Jewish Prime Minister
00:35:57.580 of Israel,
00:35:58.360 we're going to have
00:35:59.060 a come to Jesus meeting
00:36:00.200 as a way to like
00:36:01.380 beat the hell out of him,
00:36:03.800 if a Republican
00:36:04.800 had said that,
00:36:05.720 the media would
00:36:06.360 lose their minds.
00:36:08.220 Yeah.
00:36:08.680 It's so insensitive
00:36:09.880 on so many different levels.
00:36:11.480 There is an offensive
00:36:13.060 condescension
00:36:14.540 and understand
00:36:16.000 what he means
00:36:16.820 to come to Jesus meeting.
00:36:18.220 What he means is,
00:36:20.220 you stupid Israeli,
00:36:21.660 stop killing
00:36:23.500 Hamas terrorists.
00:36:25.000 That's what he's saying.
00:36:26.840 We're going to force you
00:36:28.380 as a response
00:36:30.740 to October 7th
00:36:32.120 to allow
00:36:33.660 the Hamas terrorists
00:36:34.840 who murdered
00:36:35.620 1,200 Israelis,
00:36:38.900 1,200 Jews,
00:36:40.100 who kidnapped Americans,
00:36:41.680 who murdered Americans,
00:36:42.580 we're going to force you
00:36:44.120 to allow them
00:36:45.060 to create their own state
00:36:46.560 where they can engage
00:36:47.480 in acts of terror
00:36:48.320 like this
00:36:48.880 over and over
00:36:50.400 and over again.
00:36:51.600 It is
00:36:52.540 the anti-Israel animus
00:36:55.380 in this administration
00:36:57.400 and in,
00:36:58.860 sadly,
00:36:59.320 today's Democrat Party.
00:37:01.300 I've never seen
00:37:02.540 anything like it.
00:37:03.360 It keeps getting worse.
00:37:05.100 And this shows,
00:37:06.660 this is how Biden
00:37:07.980 talks behind closed doors.
00:37:10.320 I'm going to beat up
00:37:11.620 these damned Israelis.
00:37:14.240 Like,
00:37:14.460 that's just horrific.
00:37:18.200 Well,
00:37:18.340 and it's shocking,
00:37:19.240 but it also goes
00:37:20.260 hand in hand
00:37:20.860 with him basically
00:37:22.000 pandering to the extreme left
00:37:23.800 that is all about Hamas
00:37:25.980 and supporting the terrorists
00:37:27.280 and the Palestinian protesters
00:37:28.720 that are supporting
00:37:29.460 these terrorists
00:37:30.700 who butchered children,
00:37:32.080 who took hostage
00:37:33.560 80-year-old women,
00:37:35.500 grandmothers,
00:37:36.780 and put babies
00:37:38.460 in ovens
00:37:39.980 to burn them
00:37:40.860 for sport.
00:37:41.800 You also have a president
00:37:43.780 during the State of the Union
00:37:44.820 to appease them,
00:37:46.360 said,
00:37:46.680 hey,
00:37:47.160 we're going to order
00:37:48.160 the U.S. military
00:37:48.920 to construct a port
00:37:50.620 in Gaza
00:37:51.280 to increase
00:37:52.160 the aid flow there.
00:37:55.120 He acted like
00:37:55.960 it wasn't putting...
00:37:56.540 By the way,
00:37:56.940 you know words
00:37:57.740 that Joe Biden didn't say?
00:38:00.000 He didn't say
00:38:00.920 we will utterly
00:38:01.640 and completely
00:38:02.260 destroy Hamas.
00:38:03.500 He didn't say
00:38:04.660 as Israel defends itself,
00:38:06.700 we have your back.
00:38:08.620 We are with you.
00:38:09.840 You are right.
00:38:10.680 We must destroy Hamas.
00:38:13.080 We stand together.
00:38:14.420 That's what a real
00:38:15.600 American president
00:38:16.420 would say.
00:38:16.960 That's what an American president
00:38:18.320 defending America,
00:38:19.620 defending our allies
00:38:20.420 would say.
00:38:21.580 But instead,
00:38:22.880 today's Democrat Party,
00:38:25.120 the cultural Marxists,
00:38:26.860 the radical leftists,
00:38:28.380 if they see a battle
00:38:29.740 between Jews
00:38:31.420 and Palestinians,
00:38:32.840 they define Jews
00:38:35.120 as the oppressors,
00:38:36.560 they define Palestinians
00:38:38.120 as the victims,
00:38:39.140 and any cultural Marxist.
00:38:41.880 He supports
00:38:43.040 the violent revolution
00:38:44.300 of the victims
00:38:45.060 against the oppressors.
00:38:46.980 And so the consequence,
00:38:49.100 what is Joe Biden
00:38:50.080 bragging about
00:38:50.900 when he thinks
00:38:51.700 he's in private?
00:38:52.840 Well, we just got
00:38:53.640 this hot mic here.
00:38:54.880 He's bragging
00:38:55.700 that he's berating
00:38:57.500 the prime minister
00:38:58.820 of Israel
00:38:59.340 and mind you,
00:39:00.360 at a time
00:39:01.360 when the prime minister
00:39:02.220 is defending his nation
00:39:03.680 at war
00:39:04.980 after a massive attack,
00:39:08.720 the worst mass murder
00:39:10.680 of Jews
00:39:11.860 in a single day
00:39:13.380 since the Holocaust.
00:39:14.940 And what is Biden
00:39:16.080 doing attacking Israel?
00:39:17.840 Well, and building this pier,
00:39:20.060 the question I have for you
00:39:21.620 is,
00:39:22.280 does this put American troops
00:39:23.660 in harm's way?
00:39:24.880 Because that's the question
00:39:26.680 that everybody
00:39:27.660 should be asking
00:39:28.600 this president.
00:39:29.720 Let's be clear.
00:39:30.720 about 186 American troops
00:39:33.160 have been injured
00:39:33.860 or killed in attacks
00:39:34.900 on U.S. personnel
00:39:35.880 in the Middle East
00:39:36.680 since mid-October
00:39:38.580 when the attack
00:39:39.440 by the Hamas terrorists
00:39:40.920 happened
00:39:41.520 on Israel.
00:39:43.680 And of those,
00:39:44.480 130 have been
00:39:45.760 traumatic brain injuries.
00:39:48.180 And that's been confirmed
00:39:49.400 by the Pentagon
00:39:50.160 this week on Monday.
00:39:51.940 Yet you have a president
00:39:52.980 that acts like
00:39:53.720 building this pier
00:39:54.740 is no big deal at all.
00:39:57.440 Well, look,
00:39:58.280 I think that's right.
00:39:59.560 And the thing
00:40:00.220 to understand
00:40:00.960 is today's
00:40:02.300 Democrat Party,
00:40:03.200 listen,
00:40:03.540 Biden has
00:40:04.300 an open revolt
00:40:06.040 within his State Department,
00:40:08.000 within his White House,
00:40:09.120 because today's
00:40:10.400 Democrat Party,
00:40:11.240 particularly the young people,
00:40:13.200 they are active
00:40:14.900 sympathizers
00:40:16.300 of Hamas.
00:40:17.260 Mind you,
00:40:18.060 the Biden administration
00:40:19.060 has given hundreds
00:40:20.180 of millions of dollars
00:40:21.180 to Gaza
00:40:21.740 that went straight
00:40:22.740 to Hamas.
00:40:23.500 Mind you,
00:40:23.840 the Biden administration
00:40:24.860 has flowed
00:40:25.600 $100 billion
00:40:27.440 to Iran,
00:40:28.800 which is the principal
00:40:30.460 funder for Hamas
00:40:31.620 and for Hezbollah.
00:40:33.000 And all of that
00:40:34.420 you have,
00:40:35.780 I gotta say,
00:40:36.820 it is really distressing
00:40:38.320 just how radicalized
00:40:39.960 the Democrat Party
00:40:41.360 has become
00:40:41.860 and how much
00:40:43.820 they have normalized
00:40:45.140 anti-Semitism
00:40:46.540 in their party.
00:40:47.500 That is a terrible,
00:40:49.300 terrible thing
00:40:50.040 and it's something
00:40:50.600 we're gonna have to work
00:40:51.700 together to fight.
00:40:52.980 Yeah,
00:40:54.040 now we know
00:40:54.600 where the president
00:40:55.180 stands on Israel.
00:40:56.300 It's on,
00:40:56.820 caught on this hot mic
00:40:57.840 and make sure you tell
00:40:59.020 all your family
00:40:59.700 and friends about it.
00:41:00.540 Don't forget,
00:41:01.020 the Senator and I
00:41:01.480 do this show
00:41:01.980 Monday,
00:41:02.480 Wednesday,
00:41:02.780 and Friday.
00:41:03.440 We have a week
00:41:04.540 in review
00:41:05.180 that happens
00:41:05.880 on Saturday
00:41:06.500 for what you may
00:41:07.320 have missed
00:41:07.700 during the week
00:41:08.480 and make sure
00:41:09.540 you hit that
00:41:09.860 follow,
00:41:10.360 subscribe,
00:41:10.900 or auto-download
00:41:11.540 button.
00:41:12.020 Plus,
00:41:12.460 I do a show,
00:41:13.480 the Ben Ferguson
00:41:14.040 podcast,
00:41:14.860 on those in-between days
00:41:16.520 to keep you updated
00:41:17.240 on the latest
00:41:17.660 breaking news.
00:41:18.780 So if you haven't
00:41:19.600 downloaded my podcast,
00:41:20.680 the Ben Ferguson
00:41:21.180 podcast,
00:41:21.860 do that as well.
00:41:22.780 And the Senator and I
00:41:23.840 will see you back here
00:41:24.760 in a couple of days.
00:41:26.800 This is an iHeart podcast.
