Verdict with Ted Cruz - Michigan Hezbollah Terrorist, Mamdani Defends Iran, Dem Candidate Says Dearborn is ＂Sad＂ about Ayatollah & California Self-Inflicted Energy Crisis

00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.

00:00:02.700 Guaranteed human.

00:00:05.100 Welcome. It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you.

00:00:08.640 It's nice to have you with us.

00:00:09.700 We've got some big breaking news.

00:00:11.140 We're just going to start right away with it.

00:00:12.700 Senator, I'm going to let you take it away for the announcement.

00:00:15.900 Look, in an extraordinary story, Chuck Schumer has apologized to the American people.

00:00:22.080 He said he's sorry.

00:00:23.080 He is sorry that the Democrat Party has embraced open borders.

00:00:26.800 He's sorry they allowed an invasion of this country.

00:00:29.600 He said he's sorry they're a bunch of jihadist-loving lunatics who've defunded the Department of Homeland Security, and he said he's very, very sorry to every TSA agent he didn't pay, to every Coast Guardsman he's still not paying, to every Secret Service agent he's not paying, to every DHS officer he's not paying, to every FEMA official responsible for disasters.

00:00:52.300 he has said he's sorry and he said look the reason is

00:00:57.280 he's just cheap and scared and he cares about power is he gonna get bonuses though that's i

00:01:05.900 mean that's what i want to know does they get their bonuses for showing up he will give them

00:01:10.380 all the maduro cocaine okay i like it all right i knew there was a catch here now look the only

00:01:16.800 problem with this breaking news is is the calendar date yes yes that'll do it and and and sadly it is 0.68

00:01:24.140 april fools the chances of that happening are as likely as pigs flying as the moon turning to green

00:01:33.740 cheese as chuck schumer turning away from a camera all of those are equally likely it's more likely 0.98

00:01:40.420 you're going to shave your beard today uh no no it's not no okay it's not that thing is really

00:01:46.120 there to stay right i just want to be real clear about that you know look it would be impressive

00:01:50.240 ben if you could grow a beard uh you know what i did it once for that it was it no shave november

00:01:55.220 remember that and uh they asked me once on tv is anything visible it was it was a little it was

00:02:01.380 there is one picture on the internet and and it's kind of hillbilly-esque is it patchy what

00:02:05.920 all comes in it looked like i could have sold drugs on the side of the road and uh and and so

00:02:10.840 a producer called me one day and said, we're just curious if that beard is going to be gone by

00:02:16.140 Sunday. When I was doing a show, it's like, I'll take the head. I'll shave it off by Sunday. Yes,

00:02:20.720 it was, uh, it made it look like I was homeless and, uh, and, and seriously in need of guidance

00:02:26.040 in life. So, uh, that, that does that, that picture is out on the internet though. I will

00:02:29.800 say, you know, the sad thing, Ben, about that whole diatribe I went on, on April fools and

00:02:35.820 what Schumer apologized for. There's not a word I said that was false. I mean, the real April Fool's

00:02:42.020 joke is the other 364 days a year when he refuses to do that, because that is the Democrat Party

00:02:49.760 position. It is astonishing. And so today we're going to talk about radical Islamic terrorism

00:02:57.080 and how the Democrats have coddled it, how they've embraced it, how they've exposed us,

00:03:01.880 how they've endangered us. And we're going to talk about it in a number of instances. We're

00:03:05.560 going to talk about it concerning Michigan and the Michigan terror attack that we now know was

00:03:10.400 inspired explicitly by Hezbollah. We're going to talk about it in New York City in Kamran

00:03:16.620 Mandami, apparently believing it is the responsibility of the mayor of New York City

00:03:21.080 to defend the Ayatollah and to defend the Islamist regime in Iran. And then we're going to talk about

00:03:27.560 it in terms of a radical left-wing Senate candidate in Michigan who explained just how

00:03:34.140 many michiganders are sad so very very sad that the ayatollah the same ayatollah who chants death 0.98

00:03:40.020 to america that he's no longer with us and finally we're going to talk about something that somehow

00:03:46.140 is not an april fool's joke but the washington post this week came out and said especially with

00:03:52.520 the war in iran it underscores how the democrats green new deal energy agenda is hurting america

00:03:58.900 profoundly. And that's actually not an April Fool's joke. That's reality. That's real. You

00:04:04.940 can't make that part up. We've got a lot to cover today. There are so many of you guys that I just

00:04:09.840 want to say thank you that have really gotten into standing up for the people in Israel. And

00:04:14.900 there are a lot of people that are under attack in Israel. There is a lot of people that are

00:04:18.300 hurting. There are a lot of people that are in need. And the International Fellowship of Christians

00:04:22.620 and Jews, they are on the front lines right now helping people, including Holocaust survivors

00:04:28.100 who are homebound giving them food and medical care within their home and they need our help

00:04:34.680 now more than ever before a sacred season is approaching passover when we remember god's

00:04:41.160 deliverance the night he brought his people out of bondage and into freedom this year many of god's

00:04:47.320 people will observe in darkness under the shadow of war across israel red alert sirens pierce the

00:04:54.360 air families run to shelters with seconds to spare elderly men and women fear they'll be left

00:05:01.160 behind and parents are comforting their frightened children as explosions shake the night sleeplessness

00:05:08.400 and uncertainty have become daily life in israel and passover reminds us that god hears the cries

00:05:15.020 of his people and answers with love and compassion and that's why the international fellowship of

00:05:21.320 Christians and Jews, is on the ground in Israel right now.

00:05:25.100 They're providing food and emergency supplies,

00:05:28.600 equipping bomb shelters,

00:05:30.240 and caring for elderly Holocaust survivors.

00:05:33.400 Just as his people once cried out for deliverance,

00:05:36.840 vulnerable Israelis need your help today.

00:05:39.600 With your generous Passover gift,

00:05:41.980 it shows you stand with God's people.

00:05:44.600 And if you are ready to stand with the people of Israel,

00:05:47.600 then stand with the IFCJ and help.

00:05:50.140 You can call them 888-488-IFCJ.

00:05:55.300 That's 888-488-IFCJ to rush your gift right now.

00:06:01.700 Or you can give online at ifcj.org.

00:06:05.920 That's ifcj.org.

00:06:09.680 All right, Senator, so let's get to this first big story here.

00:06:12.940 And this is one of the ones that concerns me so much about what is happening in this country right now.

00:06:20.140 We've also seen this happen in Europe, and we are now seeing that there are more attacks.

00:06:25.640 We're seeing churches that are being burned around the world, and we're now seeing this

00:06:29.640 synagogue attacker that attacked on behalf of Hezbollah.

00:06:33.820 It happened right here in Michigan.

00:06:36.120 We know a lot more now than we did before.

00:06:38.520 Yeah, you remember when this story broke, when the man drove his truck into the synagogue

00:06:43.420 that was also a school.

00:06:45.040 There were over 100 kids there. 0.88

00:06:46.560 He was trying to kill as many young children as he could.

00:06:48.780 and and the media coverage they referred to him as michigan man it was it was reminiscent of

00:06:55.340 maryland man the guy who was the ms-13 gangbanger and human trafficker that was just a maryland man

00:07:01.520 who for some reason was deported no one could imagine why well here it was michigan man and

00:07:06.320 then they had all this sympathetic coverage michigan man was was upset that his brother

00:07:11.680 had been killed in the middle east what they didn't mention is his brother was a commander

00:07:16.280 for hezbollah and so he was a terrorist so hezbollah terrorist in america unhappy that a

00:07:23.060 different hezbollah terrorist had been killed and so he tried to kill as many children as many jews

00:07:29.000 as possible here are the details uh the attack earlier this month this is from cnn on a synagogue

00:07:35.420 in west bloomfield michigan was a quote hezbollah inspired act of terrorism purposely targeting the

00:07:42.360 Jewish community and the largest Jewish temple in Michigan, the FBI said to news conference on

00:07:48.140 Monday. The assailant, Ayman Ghazali, was a naturalized U.S. citizen from Lebanon. Now put

00:07:55.580 a pin in that that we need to change our vetting for naturalized citizens. Yeah. He rammed a pickup

00:08:01.960 truck into the synagogue on March 12th as more than 100 children were attending school inside.

00:08:10.400 After waiting in the synagogue's parking lot for more than two hours, authorities said,

00:08:14.360 Ghazali drove the truck far into the building, hitting a security officer before the vehicle became wedged in a hallway.

00:08:21.620 Security officers for the synagogue began exchanging gunfire with Ghazali, who eventually shot and killed himself inside the truck.

00:08:30.120 During the chaos, the truck's engine compartment caught fire and caused extensive damage to the building.

00:08:36.780 The truck was filled with over $2,000 of commercial-grade fireworks and about 35 gallons of gasoline, which he used to enhance the explosion.

00:08:51.180 No one else was killed. One of the temple's lead security officers was injured after being hit by the vehicle.

00:08:57.400 Had he lived, he would have been charged with providing material support to Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed terrorist group in Lebanon, said Jerome Gorgon, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan.

00:09:09.020 Gorgon added that Ghazali was inspired by Hezbollah on propaganda to carry out the attack.

00:09:15.480 Quote, this man acted under Hezbollah's direction and control.

00:09:21.800 He intended to kill others, not just himself.

00:09:24.620 In the days after the attack, U.S. officials said Ghazali was located in federal government databases as having connections to, quote, known or suspected terrorists associated with Hezbollah.

00:09:36.840 Stop there for a second.

00:09:38.380 So they searched the databases.

00:09:39.760 The databases showed that he had connections to known or suspected terrorists.

00:09:43.680 Then why the hell was this guy letting the country in the first place?

00:09:46.360 Why did they allow him in?

00:09:47.720 Why did they naturalize him as a citizen?

00:09:49.520 I have a feeling that information in the databases didn't magically appear in the last 15 months.

00:09:55.240 It's been there a long time.

00:09:56.440 It's just prior administrations didn't care.

00:09:58.900 We need to get to the bottom of that.

00:10:00.660 A week prior to the attack, members of Ghazali's family in Lebanon, including two brothers,

00:10:07.240 were killed in an Israeli airstrike as the U.S. and Israel entered its second week of conflict with Iran.

00:10:13.240 Now, this is where the media clutched their pearls.

00:10:15.340 Well, his brother was killed. 0.98

00:10:16.680 So naturally, when your brother's killed, what you do is try to murder 100 kids. 0.95

00:10:20.660 That's the normal reaction to that.

00:10:23.660 But then here's the killer paragraph that follows.

00:10:27.260 The Israeli military said one of the brothers, Ibrahim Mohamed Ghazali,

00:10:32.520 was a Hezbollah commander in charge of managing weapons operations in the Iranian proxy group's Bader unit.

00:10:41.160 Ghazali began planning for the attack days earlier, the FBI said, with his plans intensifying on March 9th.

00:10:48.900 A review of Ghazali's online activity dating to January, January was before the war in Iran started,

00:10:56.940 showed repeated searches for pro-Hezbollah and Iranian news outlets, as well as videos related to gunfire and ammunition.

00:11:05.160 Beginning March 9th, the FBI said he closely followed speeches and live coverage involving Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qasem,

00:11:14.060 along with reporting about an Iranian fatwa, a religious ruling concerning Islamic law, calling for total jihad against the U.S. military.

00:11:23.720 He also researched Jewish cultural education and religious centers throughout the Detroit metro area,

00:11:29.960 viewing multiple pages of upcoming events at Temple Israel

00:11:33.580 and searched specific terms and phrases such as, quote,

00:11:38.100 the largest gathering of Israelis in Michigan,

00:11:41.840 Orthodox synagogues, and Israelis near me.

00:11:45.900 That day, after two people declined to sell him a weapon,

00:11:49.800 Ghazali bought an AR-15 style rifle,

00:11:52.440 10 magazines, and about 300 rounds of ammunition

00:11:54.880 at a gun store in Dearborn Heights, Runyon said.

00:11:58.000 Now, it's interesting that two stores declined to sell it to him, and yet the one in Dearborn was willing to.

00:12:03.520 I think that's something else.

00:12:04.600 You've owned a gun store.

00:12:05.700 I was going to say, that is a massive red flag.

00:12:08.340 Like, if you turn down somebody and there's two stores, they clearly, like, were doing their jobs, by the way.

00:12:15.800 Gun stores.

00:12:17.300 So tell us, as someone who's owned a gun store, like this guy goes in and says, I want to buy an AR.

00:12:22.820 Why would a gun store say no?

00:12:25.440 Yeah, there's a couple of reasons.

00:12:26.480 One, you profile and you can see if someone seems angry or agitated.

00:12:30.400 You can also, you're supposed to be looking to see if an individual you think is doing

00:12:35.500 a straw purchase, which means they're buying for someone else illegally.

00:12:39.580 You'll see that happen a lot of times with wives that will come in. 1.00

00:12:42.480 Their husband would be a felon or someone that's disqualified from only a weapon or

00:12:46.560 a friend will come in.

00:12:48.080 You'll see people that walk in the store, they'll look at a gun, they'll take a picture

00:12:51.720 of it, they'll leave.

00:12:52.540 And then literally 30 seconds later, a minute later, someone comes in and tries to buy the

00:12:56.460 exact gun that you just showed to someone else like there's multiple things that you look for

00:13:01.160 here but then there's also conversations if you see that someone comes in and and by the way if

00:13:06.560 you believe that they're drunk or high or on some sort of drug you can refuse and if you just have

00:13:11.940 a really bad feeling if something doesn't feel right you can say i'm not going to sell you a

00:13:17.380 gun and you have the rise of store owner to do that but when you hear that two gun stores did 0.99

00:13:22.420 this. That says a lot. Yeah, that says a lot because something there I would love to see and

00:13:27.720 go back and hear because I'm sure there's going to be an interview. What was it? And then were

00:13:33.600 the authorities alerted to this? And yet a third store was able to sell them the gun. They didn't

00:13:37.340 check in on that afterwards. That also is very concerning. Yeah, the story continues. He

00:13:42.220 practiced shooting the new weapon the next day and bought the fireworks. An order of dozens of

00:13:47.920 water containers arrived on the 11th, the day before the attack, and he immediately started

00:13:52.240 filling them with gasoline, making four trips to gas stations so he would not arouse suspicion.

00:13:57.300 He also bought two torchlighters, which authorities believed he used to set his truck on fire.

00:14:03.020 On the day of the attack, Ghazali sent his sister, who authorities believe lives in Lebanon,

00:14:09.040 numerous videos and messages, quote, affirming his Hezbollah-inspired ideology.

00:14:14.320 Ten minutes before he drove his truck into the synagogue, Ghazali sent his sister two videos in Arabic, indicating that he was at the largest gathering of Israelis in the state of Michigan, had booby-trapped his car and would forcibly enter and start shooting people, the FBI said. 0.93

00:14:32.040 God willing, I will kill as many of them as I possibly can, Ghazali recorded himself saying, according to Runyon.

00:14:38.280 look these are the kind of threats we're facing by the way this podcast covered when the iranian 0.99

00:14:46.360 fatwa went out and we we have covered at length the radical islamic terrorists that the biden

00:14:53.760 administration allowed to flood into this country and the lack of vetting and and tragically all of 0.98

00:15:00.400 this happened at the same time we had the department of homeland security shut down

00:15:04.560 because the Democrats have defunded it.

00:15:07.340 And I'm sorry to say this guy is not the last radical Islamic terrorist left in the country. 0.93

00:15:12.300 And yet, Senate Democrats do not seem to care at all.

00:15:16.600 Well, let's go back in time just a little bit to remind people.

00:15:19.200 This was part of what President Trump had said we need to do, which was to go back and to vet.

00:15:24.780 Can you give an update on that?

00:15:27.120 And is some of that vetting stopped because of DHS lack of funding

00:15:30.280 and all these fights and the government shutdowns that have happened?

00:15:33.820 Well, some of that vetting would be happening at the State Department.

00:15:37.420 Some of it would be happening at DHS.

00:15:39.340 And so I don't know the status of that vetting.

00:15:42.160 We have not gotten a report.

00:15:43.280 We obviously have a brand new Secretary of Homeland Security, Mark Wayne Mullen.

00:15:47.740 By the way, I will point out, every Democrat but two voted against confirming him.

00:15:52.840 So their position is they don't want a Secretary of DHS.

00:15:55.520 And by the way, they all like Mark Wayne.

00:15:57.620 He was a colleague in the Senate.

00:15:58.960 They knew him.

00:15:59.580 He was well-liked on both sides of the aisle.

00:16:01.380 It was not personal.

00:16:02.140 they wouldn't vote to confirm bugs bunny as head of dhs their party is the open borders party

00:16:10.860 anyone who is focused on securing the border today's democrats oppose yeah no doubt and then

00:16:17.240 and then you look at this story and you go immediately to new york i am really concerned

00:16:21.920 about what we're seeing in new york yes you and i have talked about this mandani i think is is a

00:16:26.860 bigger threat to this country than just a threat to the people in new york city uh let's talk about

00:16:31.480 the breaking news there as well. Yeah, very much agree. Give a listen to what Mondami had to say

00:16:37.920 about the war in Iran and about the Ayatollah in particular. Give a listen. I think we're seeing

00:16:44.420 the fact that in the face of Americans facing a historic affordability crisis, that we have the

00:16:49.760 pursuit of something that has already cost $23 billion thus far, the kind of money that could

00:16:56.120 transform working class americans live whether through investments in medicare or teachers or

00:17:02.140 even elimination of student debt for tens of thousands of americans and all of that being

00:17:08.280 thrown aside for the pursuit of yet another regime change war and it's a war that should 1.00

00:17:12.500 be opposed on every single ground not just procedural but also moral but also political

00:17:17.100 and also a war that should be opposed on the grounds of the fact that it is being financed

00:17:22.960 by the very money that could make it easier to keep calling this city this country home and yet

00:17:29.260 there is a blindness to that fact all while we're being told that this is this is not what we're

00:17:34.820 seeing with our own eyes all right senator let's just go to the moral spot there when he said that

00:17:39.360 i'm like what world is he living in morally then explain the terrorism hezbollah hamas and all the 1.00

00:17:45.280 other sponsors of terrorism all the dead bodies and all the americans have been killed by iran 0.54

00:17:48.940 And he says there's no moral compass for this war to even begin with. 0.99

00:17:52.960 I would say sit down with families who've lost loved ones and are placing flowers at tombstones on Memorial Day and tell them this political garbage. 0.99

00:18:03.140 Look, Iran has killed nearly 1,000 Americans over the last 47 years. 0.99

00:18:07.600 They're the number one state funder of terrorism in the world.

00:18:11.220 They provide 90 percent of the funding for Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. 0.97

00:18:15.640 They hired hit men to kill President Trump.

00:18:18.240 And the Ayatollah, who Mondami is grieving right there, regularly would lead mobs chanting death to America.

00:18:26.860 And yet Mondami's loyalties, apparently death to America is not a sentiment that he has significant disagreement with.

00:18:35.940 He thinks it is immoral. He thinks it is wrong.

00:18:38.420 It should be opposed on every front, taking out a regime that is killing Americans.

00:18:43.120 And look, this is the heart of today's Democrat Party.

00:18:48.060 Mondami and AOC and Ilhan Omar, the radical Marxist, Islamist, jihadist, America-hating commie left.

00:18:57.720 By the way, I love that he begins with $23 billion.

00:19:01.340 Can you believe they spent that much?

00:19:02.920 Never in his life has Mondami seen government spending that he opposes,

00:19:07.220 except if it's taking out an Islamist leader who is murdering Americans.

00:19:13.420 That's the one instance in which government spending he is opposed to.

00:19:17.460 And by the way, how much of the government spending in New York City

00:19:20.660 was for illegal immigrants that they were housing in four-star

00:19:23.760 and five-star and three-star hotels?

00:19:25.600 Can we just remember how much money they've wasted?

00:19:28.860 By the way, it could have gone to the people of New York that are suffering.

00:19:32.160 Instead, they said, no, no, no, we want to pay out billions to illegal immigrants

00:19:35.820 and make their lives more comfortable after they broke our laws well and and we played a couple of

00:19:40.640 weeks ago on on verdict kathy hochel the new york governor pleading with with rich new yorkers who

00:19:47.220 had fled the state please come back please come back to new york but but not promising to make

00:19:52.160 it any better say we want to tax the hell out of you we want to take your money but we have really

00:19:56.620 lavish social spending programs and if you don't come back we won't have the money to pay for them

00:20:01.260 and and and it really is funny i'm trying to figure out who is the one rich guy who fled new

00:20:08.160 york and hears hey come back so we can take your money and give it away because we know what to do

00:20:12.720 with it better than you who's the one audience member who hears that i don't know but mandami

00:20:17.420 isn't even saying that he's happy for them to flee his city and and look i i fear with this

00:20:24.520 kind of environment number one i fear for the nypd their ability to do their job with a mayor

00:20:29.400 who now opposes their enforcing the law and protecting New Yorkers.

00:20:33.580 But number two, his coddling, his embrace of Islamist America haters is not good.

00:20:43.040 New York suffered the very worst terror attack our country's ever seen on 9-11.

00:20:48.680 D.C. did as well.

00:20:49.740 But having a mayor who is now rooting for the death to America crowd, that is a deeply, deeply, deeply concerning development.

00:21:01.640 If you think Mandani is like a one-off, you're wrong.

00:21:04.860 And if you want proof of it and how concerned you should all be over these types of individuals,

00:21:10.320 let's take a look at the Michigan Senate candidate that avoids discussing Iran because, quote,

00:21:15.940 there's a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad that we took out the Ayatollah.

00:21:21.880 Like, this is not just Mondani, folks.

00:21:24.040 This is the Democratic Party growing very quickly in this.

00:21:28.520 Yeah, look, some listeners, particularly listeners who are skeptical,

00:21:31.980 when I said Mondani was sad the Ayatollah was killed,

00:21:35.880 might have said, gosh, that's too harsh.

00:21:38.060 He's not really.

00:21:39.740 That's putting too much.

00:21:41.780 Well, Mondani is part of a broader movement of America-hating Islamists who are taking over the Democrat Party. 0.68

00:21:48.640 And in Michigan, you've got a candidate for U.S. Senate, a guy named Abdul El-Sayed.

00:21:54.540 And interestingly enough, he was caught on tape strategizing what to say about the Iran war.

00:22:02.860 And I'll tell you what, how about I don't put words in his mouth, Ben doesn't put words in his mouth.

00:22:07.780 Let's listen to the words that came out of his own mouth.

00:22:10.720 Give a listen.

00:22:11.200 so like this is going to destabilize reason i also want to remind you guys that that there are a lot

00:22:16.520 of people in dearborn who are sad today so like i just don't want to comment on himani

00:22:21.480 at all like i i don't think it's worth even touching that doesn't even want to touch this

00:22:30.320 this butcher and killer and murder of americans because there's a lot of people that he wants to 0.51

00:22:36.100 vote for him in Dearborn that are sad today. And by the way, you hear his staffers, uh-huh, uh-huh, 0.95

00:22:41.880 oh yeah, yeah, I mean, they all know that. This is no secret. Why are the people in Dearborn sad?

00:22:48.860 They're sad for the same reason Mondani is sad, because far too many of them are Islamists who 1.00

00:22:55.380 cheer for the Islamists who want to kill Americans. And, you know, this Michigan Senate candidate, 0.91

00:23:02.980 you know talk about cynical listen to his strategy rather than talk about U.S. national security

00:23:07.820 rather than talk about killing terrorists rather than talk about keeping America safe

00:23:11.580 what do you think he wants to do instead well again don't take my word for it give a listen

00:23:17.000 to his strategy rather than address U.S. national security and I'm just gonna go straight to 0.55

00:23:22.200 pedophilia frankly I'm just glad pedophile president I decide that he doesn't like the

00:23:25.820 front page news so he decides to take us into another war there was a time when you all were 0.98

00:23:29.840 talking about America first.

00:23:32.000 This seems to be to be America last.

00:23:34.660 There it is.

00:23:35.180 Like, we're just going to make up stuff, lie about the president and do this.

00:23:39.120 And that'll be our pivot from us actually having to talk about what's happening in Iran,

00:23:43.400 because I don't want to upset the Islamists that support, you know, support the Ayatollah.

00:23:48.960 By the way, quick question.

00:23:51.020 What painting did Jeffrey Epstein have hanging in his living room in New York City?

00:23:55.580 It was Bill Clinton in a blue dress.

00:23:57.320 Isn't that right?

00:23:58.400 And red pumps. 0.99

00:23:59.840 He literally had a painting of Bill Clinton on his wall.

00:24:02.720 He was an original friend of Bill.

00:24:04.840 Bill Clinton practically had his own seat on the Lita Express. 0.97

00:24:09.380 And yet the Democrats just scream, OK, let's let's just call Trump a pedophile. 0.96

00:24:13.300 It's pure. 0.95

00:24:14.640 But but the cynicism of it, the cynicism of it is only works because the media is corrupt.

00:24:22.120 Listen to what else this Democrat Senate candidate had to say.

00:24:25.160 Like we have the moral high ground here.

00:24:26.800 I think the more we stay out of, like, they're going to try and bait us into saying, yeah, but isn't it justified now that they took him out?

00:24:33.060 Right.

00:24:33.440 And I just think for us, we've got to be like, no.

00:24:36.780 We've got to prep for it. 0.98

00:24:38.060 We've got to prep for taking out a murderous terrorist in Iran that says he wants to blow up and kill innocent Americans, who already has, and Israel. 0.95

00:24:47.540 And they're like, we've got to prep for this, guys. 0.91

00:24:49.280 This is a big PR nightmare for us.

00:24:51.040 What are we going to do now?

00:24:52.640 Well, there is one other Democrat strategy. 0.67

00:24:54.920 One, they scream pedophile and attack Trump. 0.87

00:24:57.540 But there's a second Democrat strategy, because if they don't want to actually talk about protecting America and killing terrorists, what they do instead is their old refuge. 0.87

00:25:07.620 Well, again, listen rather than let me characterize it.

00:25:11.400 I mean, talking about doing this and Israel's issue always just makes me a little nervous.

00:25:18.320 I figured as much.

00:25:19.340 i can i can i can shade away from it but when i if i'm gonna take the shot i can't just allude to

00:25:25.840 it i gotta take the whole shot which means that i'm gonna say look you've got a pack-backed

00:25:31.860 congress people who now don't want to empower congress to step up and enforce its own prerogative

00:25:38.420 yeah ask yourself who that benefits and why ask yourself how powerful that force is in our

00:25:43.960 politics if they won't even stand up to a president who's making illegal and unjustified war 0.87

00:25:48.200 yeah making a legal war in order to distract us you know um yeah yeah i think that i think it's

00:25:56.400 that shot is fine i i just think that it should always be coupled with um the affordability

00:26:01.200 argument like i think the danger here is just getting too caught up in the like high level

00:26:05.220 politics of it and and not um not spending enough time with the people in michigan

00:26:09.940 this is going to come up with what's her name with uh welch yes it will she's going to be hot 1.00

00:26:16.520 on this and she's gonna she's going to debate me into the israel stuff and i'm if i'm gonna take

00:26:22.840 the shot i gotta set it i gotta set up the whole shot that's the thing you know what i mean she's 0.99

00:26:27.180 like look i'm running against an apac-backed democratic congresswoman and you know what

00:26:32.820 her statement was we're perfectly okay with this war you should have asked us first it's amazing

00:26:38.640 how much the stain he has by the way for jewish people in israel right like just you can hear it 0.53

00:26:42.780 there in his voice he's like look we're gonna do his strategy is simple attack israel attack the 0.80

00:26:47.860 jews like that is his strategy and you know what in dearborn the same people who as he put it are

00:26:53.960 quote sad that the ayatollah who chanted death to america is no longer able to pay terrorists to

00:27:00.940 kill americans those are the same people that when you attack israel and attack jews they get excited 0.99

00:27:06.740 and vote for you and you know you know what's what's really terrifying that may be a winning 0.99

00:27:10.860 strategy in a Democrat primary in Michigan. It obviously was a winning strategy in a Democrat

00:27:15.860 primary in New York City. It was a winning strategy for Ilhan Omar. It was a winning

00:27:20.740 strategy for AOC. It was a winning strategy for Rashida Tlaib. This is the base of the Democrat

00:27:26.700 Party. And if you have any serious question about how do you protect America against radical Islamic 1.00

00:27:34.060 terrorists who want to kill us, like the Hezbollah terrorist in Michigan that we started this podcast 0.59

00:27:40.700 talking about today's democrat party has nothing to say about it nothing i want to move to this 0.96

00:27:48.040 last story it is april 1st april fools but this story is not a joke we're not babylon being you

00:27:54.580 here senator this is actually a real story that has come out and it's amazing from the washington

00:28:01.840 post talking about the iran conflict showing why energy dominance is so important you can't make

00:28:10.200 this up. I mean, wow. So this is a real editorial in the Washington Post, and it's an editorial from

00:28:17.560 the paper itself. It's not a guest columnist. It is entitled, Three Cautionary Tales from the Iran

00:28:24.280 Energy Shock. Never confuse good intentions with good planning. And here's what the Washington

00:28:30.460 Post editorial board has to say. Roughly 28 million tons of liquefied natural gas have

00:28:36.220 disappeared from global markets since the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and damage to Qatar's

00:28:41.120 export terminals. Analysts predict the shortfall could last years. While every energy importer

00:28:48.380 will feel the pinch, not every one of them will feel it equally. Germany, Taiwan, and California

00:28:56.080 are cautionary tales. All three have had their politics shaped by green movements,

00:29:02.140 and all three are more vulnerable for it. When environmentalists came to power they forced the 0.51

00:29:09.000 premature retirement of nuclear reactors, coal plants, and oil refineries. They calculated that

00:29:15.340 the planet's needs demanded it and that global markets would fill the gap. All three polities

00:29:21.460 are now frantically reversing course but energy sources can't be rebuilt overnight. Germany's

00:29:29.760 Green Party was founded in 1980 as an anti-nuclear movement. When it first entered coalition government

00:29:35.560 in 1998, its price of admission was nuclear phase-out. It re-entered government in 2021,

00:29:43.260 in time to oversee the shuttering of Germany's last three reactors in 2023. The Greens also 0.91

00:29:50.360 pioneered the phasing out of the country's coal plants. That Germany sits atop 35 billion tons,

00:29:59.060 billion tons of lignite, did not enter into their calculations. Germany bet big on solar and wind,

00:30:07.100 but intermittent renewables can't ensure a consistent supply. That left LNG filling the

00:30:13.440 gap. Last week, Energy Minister Katharina Reich called the nuclear shutdown, quote,

00:30:19.600 a huge mistake. With spot prices for LNG sharply up, the government is now looking at restoring

00:30:28.380 coal plants, it retired. In the past, Germany has imported nuclear-generated electricity from

00:30:36.340 France when squeezed. So notice the Green Party, the effect of them is to go back to coal generation 0.97

00:30:41.840 and to increase pollution. All right, let's continue and see what the Washington Post has

00:30:47.080 to say about Taiwan. Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party codified anti-nuclear dogma

00:30:53.880 into its founding charter in 1986. Its arch-rival, the nationalist and at the time authoritarian

00:31:01.360 Kuomintang, wisely built nuclear power plants as part of a breakneck industrialization program. 0.96

00:31:11.160 When the DPP won power in 2016, it legislated a, quote, nuclear-free homeland and began retiring

00:31:19.520 the country's coal plants. Phasing out coal made sense. Replacing nuclear with LNG, much less so.

00:31:28.380 Like Germany, Taiwan can't rely solely on renewables. Taiwan has virtually no domestic

00:31:36.240 fossil fuels. And without nuclear, it has to import 97% of its energy by sea. Last week,

00:31:46.400 the DPP reversed course and announced plans to restart the reactors. All right,

00:31:51.960 how about the People's Republic of California, led by Comrade Gavin Newsom?

00:31:57.080 In California, environmental regulations have achieved something remarkable. They have severed

00:32:04.640 the state's gasoline market from the rest of the country. Unique fuel blend mandates mean no other

00:32:11.180 state's gasoline is compatible with California's. Other onerous regulations, emission fines,

00:32:17.960 profit caps, drilling restrictions, have driven refiners out. And there are no inbound pipelines

00:32:26.500 for crude or refined products. Now, gas is approaching $6 a gallon. Yep. With no domestic

00:32:38.520 replacement, California became dependent on gasoline imports from Asian refineries, which

00:32:45.440 are now cutting shipments because the Strait of Hormuz is closed. As Chevron's refining chief,

00:32:52.400 Andy Waltz, recently put it, quote, the California intent to offshore carbon to other nations

00:32:58.080 has offshored their security of supply. Chevron has warned that it could leave California entirely

00:33:05.300 within a decade unless regulations change by the way chevron was a california company they moved

00:33:11.580 to texas in the last year because the california loonies drove them out yeah and here's what the

00:33:17.840 washington post closes with the error in germany taiwan and california was confusing good intentions

00:33:26.840 with good planning and assuming a stable global energy market would always be there to paper over

00:33:33.620 the difference. The Iran war shows it won't. The government's best situated to weather this energy 0.94

00:33:40.740 shock are not the greenest, but the ones that treated energy as a national security interest

00:33:46.660 and diversified their supply responsibly. I'm going to say something I don't know that I've

00:33:52.460 ever said before. I agree wholeheartedly with the Washington Post. Yeah, you and I both on that one.

00:33:59.000 It's a great way to end the show. Don't forget. And it's not an April Fool's. It's not an April

00:34:03.600 Fool's. This is real. It's not the Babylon Bee. Don't forget, we do this show Monday, Wednesday,
