Ted Cruz and Ben Ferguson discuss the major news stories of the week. First, the White House takes their hand off of Israel, threatening to withdraw military aid if they go into Rafa. Will this backfire on the administration? Also, is there anything Congress will do after we find out that anti-Israel protesters on college campuses are being funded by some of the biggest adversaries of the United States of America in the world? 00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.580 Guaranteed human.
00:00:05.380 Welcome.
00:00:06.140 It is Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:00:07.780 Week in Review.
00:00:09.160 Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:10.360 And these are the major stories that we talked about this week that you may have missed.
00:00:14.760 First up, the White House takes their hand off of Israel.
00:00:18.400 Actually threatening Israel that if they go into Rafa, you can kiss your support and military
00:00:23.600 aid goodbye.
00:00:25.540 Will this backfire on the administration?
00:00:27.420 And what does this mean for the terrorists in the region?
00:00:30.300 We'll get into that in just a moment.
00:00:32.260 Also, is there anything that Congress will do after we found out that the anti-Israel protesters
00:00:39.360 on college campuses are being funded by some of the biggest adversaries of the United States
00:00:45.340 of America in the world?
00:00:47.600 And finally, Hunter Biden's sugar daddy cuts him off after letting him borrow more than
00:00:53.500 $6 million.
00:00:54.040 Don't worry, the money has to be paid back apparently until after Election Day.
00:00:58.540 So why did he cut him off just weeks before he's going to trial?
00:01:02.040 We'll explain the backstory of what that may mean for the president's re-election campaign.
00:01:07.660 It's the week in review and it starts right now.
00:01:11.640 Senator, I also want to ask you about a second part of what we've learned.
00:01:17.820 And this actually came out in the Washington Post.
00:01:21.480 The U.S. apparently offers Israel intelligence and supplies an effort to avoid the Rafa invasion.
00:01:32.560 Now, this is, I think, maybe a quid pro quo.
00:01:36.880 Is that how you would describe it?
00:01:38.400 Well, I would say it's even worse than that.
00:01:40.980 So this is an article that came out in the Washington Post that was published a lot of
00:01:45.640 places and it was on May 11th.
00:01:48.000 The title of the article is what you just said.
00:01:50.140 U.S.
00:01:50.460 Sites Intelligence Offers Israel Supplies to Limit Rafa Operation.
00:01:54.620 Let me read the first couple of paragraphs because it really is stunning news when you
00:01:58.900 understand, quote, the Biden administration, working urgently to stave off a full-scale
00:02:05.100 Israeli invasion of Rafa, is offering Israel valuable assistance in an effort to persuade 0.99
00:02:10.280 it to hold back, including sensitive intelligence to help the Israeli military pinpoint the location
00:02:16.180 of Hamas leaders and find the group's hidden tunnels, according to four people familiar
00:02:23.960 with the U.S. offers.
00:02:25.200 Now, I want you to pause and understand what that means.
00:02:30.780 It means the Biden administration is saying that right now they know where senior Hamas
00:02:38.060 leaders are.
00:02:39.440 And right now they are not telling Israel where the senior Hamas leaders are.
00:02:46.340 That also means that Biden is saying right now the administration knows where Hamas's hidden
00:02:52.380 tunnels are.
00:02:52.980 And right now they are not telling Israel where the hidden tunnels are.
00:02:59.300 Now, I mentioned before that there is a pro-Hamas wing of the administration. 0.89
00:03:03.780 What in the hell? 0.77
00:03:04.620 Hamas murdered 1,200 Israelis. 1.00
00:03:08.380 It is U.S. policy that Hamas are terrorists. 0.89
00:03:11.400 By the way, they murdered over 30 Americans. 0.78
00:03:14.020 And what?
00:03:14.460 This White House knows where the senior leaders are and is like, nope, nope, we're not going
00:03:18.740 to tell you.
00:03:19.100 We're not going to tell you, like, how the hell is that possible?
00:03:24.100 And now they're saying, well, if you don't invade Rafa and go after Hamas, we'll tell 0.88
00:03:30.260 you where the leadership is.
00:03:31.600 That is truly stunning.
00:03:33.260 Isn't that the same thing that they were implying, by the way, that Donald Trump, they accused
00:03:42.220 him and impeached him like a quid pro quo with with with Ukraine member.
00:03:45.680 I'll go after the Bidens, even though that's not actually what it was.
00:03:48.120 It was the real quid quid pro quo back then was Joe Biden withholding a billion dollars
00:03:53.580 from Ukraine until they fired the prosecutor that was going after the company where his
00:03:59.460 son was getting paid and he was getting the other kickbacks.
00:04:02.100 Yeah, look, look, Ben, I don't care.
00:04:04.180 I don't care about the quid pro quo.
00:04:06.320 I don't care even about the analogies to the Trump impeachment.
00:04:10.780 Everyone knew at the time that was a partisan exercise by Democrats because they hated Trump.
00:04:15.260 Had nothing to do with Ukraine.
00:04:16.840 Had nothing to do with quid pro quo.
00:04:18.280 It just had to do with orange man bad.
00:04:20.700 It had to do with Trump derangement syndrome.
00:04:23.620 We will weaponize impeachment to go after Trump.
00:04:25.860 By the way, it's the same thing that has led one, two, three, four Democrat prosecutions
00:04:31.480 of Trump in the past year. 0.63
00:04:34.820 It's what led to the ridiculous circus playing out in the New York trial court, just like 0.94
00:04:40.560 the last ridiculous circus that played out in a different New York trial court. 0.53
00:04:44.060 The one that the civil trial that resulted in a half billion dollar judgment against Trump.
00:04:49.200 The current one where where Democrats are are living their their fantasy. 0.89
00:04:56.120 This is fantasy porn. 0.91
00:05:00.300 And by the way, I don't mean in terms of actual a porn star discussing salacious details. 0.95
00:05:06.200 That's actually the least pornographic thing for leftists. 0.99
00:05:09.500 They're just loving seeing Trump dragged through the mud because they hate his guts.
00:05:14.560 And so and so I am less concerned about the quid pro quo stuff than I am about the simple
00:05:23.260 reality given a choice between Israel and Hamas.
00:05:28.760 Joe Biden and today's Democrats over and over and over again choose Hamas.
00:05:34.140 That is astonishing. 1.00
00:05:36.940 It is idiotic. 1.00
00:05:38.540 It is unprecedented. 1.00
00:05:40.100 It is dangerous.
00:05:41.700 It is indefensible.
00:05:43.100 And there are no Democrats defending it.
00:05:45.300 Every Democrat ought to be asked why, given the choice between Israel and Hamas, do you 0.72
00:05:49.920 choose to give money and weapons to Hamas and blockade weapons to Israel?
00:05:55.560 Well, let's go back quickly to you guys getting notified about the president deciding to change
00:06:01.320 this and to basically go around the sanctions.
00:06:04.420 So if I've got the list correct, there's these newest, hey, we're going to allow for, you
00:06:10.240 know, these weapons to be sold to places that are basically hate Israel.
00:06:14.420 We have Iran that we have all sanctions on Iran right now that we're not imposing.
00:06:20.300 And we have a president.
00:06:23.780 This is coming also from The New York Times, Peter Baker, that Biden privately threatened
00:06:29.040 to rethink his support for the war in a private call with Netanyahu back in February.
00:06:33.780 That would be two months before doing so publicly.
00:06:37.380 So lying to the American people are misleading them.
00:06:40.260 The White House didn't put it into the readout of the call because they purposely were trying
00:06:45.020 to, I would argue, cover up or avoid, quote, a public blow up.
00:06:49.600 And The New York Times has got this now.
00:06:52.780 No, look, that's exactly right.
00:06:55.020 This administration, from the beginning, from January 20th, 2021, they have been systematically
00:07:01.520 undermining Israel. 0.65
00:07:04.060 And by the way, some Democrats will say, well, it's Netanyahu they hate.
00:07:07.920 Look, there's a unity government in Israel.
00:07:09.640 The entire war cabinet supports going into Rafah.
00:07:12.840 Rafah is where the Hamas terrorists are. 0.79
00:07:15.740 And Israel is committed. 0.97
00:07:17.480 We're going to destroy Hamas.
00:07:19.020 The Biden administration and the Democrats have decided they're going to use the full
00:07:23.060 force of the American government to try to protect Hamas from Israel.
00:07:28.520 Senator, final question I have for you is this.
00:07:31.820 If you are Israel right now, in essence, you're being blackmailed to not protect yourself.
00:07:38.980 You have a country that's supposed to be your ally that they're heavily dependent on for military
00:07:44.780 aid and equipment and equipment and the president saying, I'm not giving it to you if you don't
00:07:49.600 do what I tell you to do.
00:07:51.640 And you see this.
00:07:53.460 And then you look at our withdrawal from Afghanistan.
00:07:55.880 Afghanistan and then you look at what's happening in Russia, Ukraine.
00:07:59.540 If you're an ally of America right now, do you feel like you're actually a genuine ally?
00:08:05.520 Because in the past, if you were an ally of America, it meant big brother America is going
00:08:10.080 to protect and defend you.
00:08:11.300 And you don't screw with the little brother because they're an ally of America.
00:08:14.920 And if you do, there will be major consequences.
00:08:16.680 That seems to be completely gone now in the world.
00:08:20.820 Yeah, look, I think every ally of America is questioning how valuable is that with with
00:08:26.600 Joe Biden as president being an ally of America.
00:08:29.120 You can't count on on this administration.
00:08:32.100 Let's take, for example, a country like Saudi Arabia.
00:08:34.520 Listen, I think if Donald Trump had served a second term, Saudi Arabia would have joined
00:08:39.960 the Abraham Accords.
00:08:40.900 They were very close to they were ready to do so.
00:08:43.300 And Biden came in and he immediately began undermining our allies, including Saudi Arabia.
00:08:49.260 And Saudi Arabia still has not joined the Abraham Accords.
00:08:52.300 And I think explain the Abraham Accords to people that may that are listening and may
00:08:55.660 not understand exactly what that means.
00:08:57.000 So the Abraham Accords were historic peace deals that Donald Trump and his administration
00:09:02.820 negotiated.
00:09:03.660 And they were peace deals.
00:09:04.680 They were peace accords between Israel and several Arab countries, between the United Arab
00:09:10.980 Emirates, between Bahrain and Israel.
00:09:14.720 And I was there on the South Lawn of the White House when they were signed into law.
00:09:19.100 And it was you had to go back 40 years for the last time something like this had happened.
00:09:24.840 It had been either with Jordan or with Egypt.
00:09:26.680 And it had been 40 years since we'd seen peace between the Arabs and the Israelis.
00:09:31.500 And we were seeing multiple Arab countries signing normalization accords that were called the Abraham
00:09:37.320 Accords with Israel. 0.67
00:09:38.960 Now, I will say it was very sad.
00:09:40.860 When the Abraham Accords were signed, do you know how many Democrat senators showed up with
00:09:45.660 signing?
00:09:46.600 I'm going to guess between zero and five.
00:09:49.180 Zero.
00:09:49.960 There you go.
00:09:50.980 By the way, when we opened our embassy in Jerusalem, in Israel, I was there.
00:09:56.840 I flew to Israel.
00:09:57.900 I was there at Jerusalem the day we opened the embassy.
00:10:00.540 Happened to be the 70th anniversary of the creation of the modern state of Israel.
00:10:03.680 Do you know how many Democrats were there, either senators or House members, the day we
00:10:08.440 opened our embassy in Jerusalem?
00:10:09.980 I'm going to go with zero.
00:10:11.400 Zero.
00:10:12.240 Not a one.
00:10:13.300 Now, Joe Lieberman was there.
00:10:14.860 So you could say he was a former Democrat senator.
00:10:17.220 But to be clear, the Democrats drove him out of the party.
00:10:19.840 And the last time he was reelected, he was reelected as an independent because they'd
00:10:22.980 beaten him in the Democrat primary.
00:10:24.820 So he had been a Democrat, but he didn't lose his mind and decide that he hated Israel.
00:10:29.800 And so that was the closest we have.
00:10:31.900 And by the way, the defense that some Democrats gave as to why they didn't go to the opening
00:10:39.380 of the embassy in Jerusalem, which, by the way, many, many Democrat senators had claimed
00:10:44.920 they supported for years, the defense they gave is, well, Trump didn't invite us.
00:10:50.540 You know what?
00:10:50.840 Trump didn't invite me either.
00:10:52.660 When they opened, when they were opening the embassy, I said, I'm going.
00:10:57.920 And by the way, let me tell you how it works as a senator.
00:11:00.260 If you want to go somewhere, you go.
00:11:02.240 You don't have to be invited by the White House.
00:11:03.860 They don't decide where you travel as a senator.
00:11:06.540 I decided this is an historic moment.
00:11:08.840 I will be there.
00:11:09.760 And I flew down there.
00:11:11.420 Mike Lee flew down there with me.
00:11:13.080 Lindsey Graham was down there.
00:11:14.420 Dean Heller was there.
00:11:15.600 There were several Republican senators.
00:11:17.900 I proposed to Mike, hey, do you want to go to Israel for the opening of the embassy?
00:11:21.140 He said, absolutely.
00:11:21.860 Let's go.
00:11:22.320 And we flew down.
00:11:23.780 The reason no Democrats were there is they didn't want to be there.
00:11:27.180 They didn't want to be at the signing of the Abraham Accords.
00:11:30.720 And the point is, the value of being an ally to America when Joe Biden and the feckless Democrats are in charge is much, much less than it used to be.
00:11:43.960 And that's tragic.
00:11:44.780 It should be really valuable to be a friend and ally of America.
00:11:50.320 And listen, if you're the government of Taiwan right now, you've got to be looking around going, boy, I'm feeling really lonely.
00:11:56.400 And those are some big Chinese missiles and big, big Chinese amphibious vehicles that are looming on the horizon.
00:12:04.200 Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation, you can go back and listen to the full podcast from earlier this week.
00:12:11.520 Canadian women are looking for more, more out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them. 0.98
00:12:17.920 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:12:21.740 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:12:22.840 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:12:24.040 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.
00:12:33.240 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:12:36.780 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:12:42.560 Now on to story number two.
00:12:44.900 So is there anything that Congress can do?
00:12:48.080 I mean, you're hearing this.
00:12:50.320 Everyone's hearing this now.
00:12:51.780 You mentioned it earlier.
00:12:53.020 Can you ask the FBI director?
00:12:55.220 Can you call on them to take action here and to look into this?
00:13:00.060 Or is this just a, hey, they're on our side as the Democratic Party, the socialists and the Marxists and the communists within the Democratic Party?
00:13:09.180 We don't care because we want their influence and we want their money.
00:13:13.780 So, yes, I've called on the Biden administration to do this.
00:13:16.740 I've called on the IRS.
00:13:17.740 I've called on the FBI.
00:13:19.880 Many, many of these organizations that are pushing these protests are 501c3s, which are supposed to be tax exempt.
00:13:26.380 They're supposed to be not engaging in political activity.
00:13:28.440 So I've called on the IRS to investigate that already.
00:13:32.160 Look, in a sane world, the FBI would be examining this closely.
00:13:36.620 We watched during the Trump presidency the whole Russia, Russia, Russia nonsense, which was totally made up.
00:13:42.100 It was based on Hillary Clinton campaign oppo research, but it became the obsession, number one of the deep state and number two now of the Biden administration.
00:13:52.620 And yet I have no indication that the Department of Justice is doing anything to examine this.
00:13:59.420 I have no indication that the FBI and by the way, the FBI ought to announce they are investigating this.
00:14:04.500 If they were doing it, they shouldn't keep it a secret.
00:14:06.760 They should make absolutely clear that what is happening on these campuses is deeply concerning and they're going to get to the bottom of who's funding it.
00:14:14.680 But they're not doing that.
00:14:16.100 And I don't believe they will because many of the funders, in addition to being the Chinese communists, the Cuban communists, many of the funders are also the top funders for the Democrat Party.
00:14:26.800 And this Department of Justice operates as an adjunct to the White House.
00:14:32.020 It is a Democrat enforcement bureau, which means I don't think they're going to go after the top funders of the Democrat Party because, you know, what their objective is to reelect Joe Biden.
00:14:41.860 And so stopping foreign communist governments from fomenting dissent, protecting Jewish students on campus, preventing our universities from being ripped apart, preventing airports from being shut down, preventing freeways from being shut down.
00:14:56.720 And remember, these are the same people who, during the, quote, summer of love, the deep state didn't want to do anything.
00:15:03.540 And so I don't believe the Biden administration is going to do a damn thing.
00:15:07.060 You mentioned something that we talked about, and it jogged my memory from, it may have been two or three episodes ago, where we were talking about it was very clear that the same people in this country that are funding Joe Biden's reelect for president are the exact same people that are funding the campus rioters.
00:15:25.720 And so you combine that, right, with now the foreign money.
00:15:31.480 This is a hell of a lot of influence, Senator, over the United States of America and young people.
00:15:37.200 And it's, is it being orchestrated by the foreigners or is this being orchestrated by the Biden administration in essence?
00:15:44.640 Yes.
00:15:45.720 Look, understand this is not organic.
00:15:48.240 This is not occurring spontaneously.
00:15:49.720 This is highly organized. 0.77
00:15:51.160 There's a reason why all of these activists have the same damn tents, because the groups that are pushing this sent out links to the same Amazon link to buy the tents. 0.90
00:16:02.720 And they are being funded. 0.97
00:16:04.380 They're being funded, number one, by radical leftists.
00:16:06.600 They're being funded by anarchists.
00:16:08.180 They're being funded by communists.
00:16:09.860 And I don't use communists as a pejorative, as just an insult.
00:16:13.860 I mean people who embrace communism.
00:16:16.320 And as we're laying out here, it's not just American communists, of which there are sadly far too many.
00:16:22.740 It is Chinese communists, the Chinese Communist Party.
00:16:25.660 It is Cuban communists.
00:16:27.180 And they see this as a vulnerability in America, a way to tear us apart.
00:16:33.680 Look, you look at a place, we're talking about elite institutions, you look at a place like Duke University.
00:16:40.320 Ben, how the hell is Jerry Seinfeld now too controversial of a speaker for campus leftists?
00:16:47.520 We saw at Duke's commencement, oh, about 50 anti-Semitic leftists storm out.
00:16:54.600 And by the way, Seinfeld was not giving a speech about Israel.
00:16:57.760 He was not talking, he happens to support Israel. 0.99
00:17:00.140 They simply said, damn it, I will not listen to a Jew. 1.00
00:17:03.900 I am such a bigot. 1.00
00:17:05.560 If you invite a Jew to speak to me, I will walk out ostentatiously. 1.00
00:17:09.400 You look at the recent graduation at Columbia where you had these nitwits walking up and ripping their diploma in half. 0.99
00:17:15.920 And I mean, they are angry. 0.98
00:17:18.880 They are bigoted on the left. 0.96
00:17:20.900 Being a bigot, hating Jews is accepted on the left now. 0.97
00:17:25.080 That is an acceptable bigotry.
00:17:27.700 See, I don't understand why these universities, and maybe it's just because I'm old school,
00:17:31.540 and I think you would agree with me.
00:17:34.820 If back when I was in school, if you ripped up your diploma when you were walking across the stage,
00:17:41.020 they probably would have just taken it away from you and said, you didn't graduate.
00:17:45.500 Yeah, so it's an interesting question.
00:17:47.480 I mean, there have been real consequences is what I'm saying.
00:17:50.080 Probably.
00:17:50.440 I will say I'm not sure you could do that.
00:17:53.560 You might actually have a breach of contract claim if you have actually paid your tuition and passed your classes.
00:17:58.420 I'm not sure they could revoke your diploma at that point.
00:18:01.680 But you know what?
00:18:03.580 They could certainly print on your transcript.
00:18:07.440 Ben Ferguson is embarrassed to have graduated from Ole Miss and tore up his diploma.
00:18:11.940 You should know that if you're thinking of hiring him.
00:18:14.580 Final question for you on what we just exposed.
00:18:19.080 What is it that people need to do with this information?
00:18:23.140 And is this just more of a, hey, if you've got a kid or a grandkid that is looking at where they're going to be going to college,
00:18:31.380 is part of this, pay attention to what they're doing to your kid's mind,
00:18:35.780 and don't just assume that because your kid gets into, quote, a prestigious university,
00:18:39.520 that's the right decision to send them there?
00:18:41.940 Look, that's a hard choice.
00:18:44.040 And I will say parents, particularly parents with high school and college-age kids, it's a really hard choice.
00:18:50.340 My view has long been that a kid should go to the best school they can get into.
00:18:56.280 And it does open doors.
00:18:57.560 It opens career doors.
00:18:58.800 It's beneficial.
00:18:59.960 I will say the more radicalized these places get, the less convinced I am that makes sense.
00:19:06.040 I will say I saw an article recently talking about how many top high school graduates are now looking at schools in the South.
00:19:14.260 By the way, you know, it's easy, and we talked about this in a prior podcast, you know, it's easy to say,
00:19:20.760 oh, all colleges are just crazy, and this is just a problem across the country.
00:19:25.940 No, that's not true.
00:19:27.260 This is a problem in blue states.
00:19:29.520 This is a problem at Columbia, at NYU, at Yale, at Harvard.
00:19:33.860 This is a problem at Princeton.
00:19:35.760 This is a problem at UCLA.
00:19:37.200 This is a problem at UC Berkeley.
00:19:38.860 This is a problem at USC.
00:19:40.120 This is a problem at the University of Washington.
00:19:42.280 This is a problem in blue states.
00:19:43.980 Why is it a problem in blue states?
00:19:45.340 Because you have Democrats who will not stand up against it, who will not protect Jewish students,
00:19:48.860 who will not oppose anti-Semitism, who will not lock up protesters, who will not stop pro-Hamas protesters,
00:19:55.480 who will not stop threats of violence.
00:19:56.980 These are the same people that were utterly powerless in the so-called summer of love and let anarchists take over portions of major cities in America.
00:20:04.640 These are the same people who allowed Black Lives Matter and Antifa protesters to firebomb police cars, to loot stores, to commit crimes. 0.97
00:20:13.620 We're not seeing this in red states.
00:20:15.980 Look, you and I both live in Texas.
00:20:18.540 At UT, there were protests.
00:20:19.820 You know what they did?
00:20:20.820 They sent in the police, and if you committed threats of violence, you got arrested.
00:20:24.500 And miraculously, you didn't have the garbage you had at these other schools.
00:20:29.120 You look at places, whether University of North Carolina or other southern schools, they don't have the problems. 0.68
00:20:34.580 Florida?
00:20:35.420 Look, Florida and Texas?
00:20:37.180 Listen, you and I both have a lot of very close Jewish friends.
00:20:41.580 They're not living in fear in Texas.
00:20:43.600 They're not living in fear in Florida.
00:20:45.900 But you know what?
00:20:46.560 They are living in fear in New York and New Jersey and Connecticut and California.
00:20:50.840 And ideology has consequences.
00:20:54.500 If you have leftists who embrace cultural Marxism, who believe Jews are oppressors, you know what?
00:21:00.380 They're not going to oppress Jewish students.
00:21:02.100 And that is sadly where today's radicalized Democrat Party is.
00:21:09.060 As before, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation on this topic,
00:21:13.280 you can go back and download the podcast from early this week to hear the entire thing.

00:21:49.160 I want to get back to the big story number three of the week you may have missed.
00:21:53.220 There's another report that has hit the same time that Hunter Biden's sugar daddy, Kevin Morris,
00:22:01.640 is, quote, tapped out of cash after funding President Biden's son.
00:22:07.220 That would be the famous Hunter Biden.
00:22:10.840 He has been funding the president's son's legal battles now for almost half a decade.
00:22:17.040 His, quote, close friend, Kevin Morris, who said,
00:22:20.740 I don't know, I'm not getting anything out of this guy.
00:22:23.320 I'm just a good guy.
00:22:25.020 He's said to have loaned Hunter Biden more than $6 million.
00:22:30.460 This, as Hunter Biden is facing two criminal trials starting in a few weeks.
00:22:34.980 And now, the sugar daddy's saying, I'm out after six grand.
00:22:38.960 My question is, the timing of this.
00:22:42.640 He's seeing the same poll numbers you're seeing.
00:22:45.080 He's seeing the same momentum that you and I are seeing day in and day out with Donald Trump.
00:22:49.780 He's seeing the same economic news that's coming out.
00:22:52.860 And he's seeing these trials come up.
00:22:54.660 And is he cutting, basically, a bad investment at this point, saying, OK, I'm hedging my bets.
00:23:01.220 Joe Biden's not going to be able to do me favors for another four years.
00:23:04.600 Why would I keep spending my money?
00:23:06.960 Of course he is.
00:23:08.060 So the headline in the Daily Mail, which broke the story, is Hunter Biden's sugar brother, Kevin Morris, quote, tapped out of cash after funding President Sun's legal battles for almost five years.
00:23:23.080 Here's how it begins.
00:23:25.140 Hollywood lawyer and Hunter Biden's sugar brother, Kevin Morris, is said to be tapped out of cash after financially supporting Hunter's legal battles over the last four and a half years to the tune of $6 million.
00:23:38.620 Let me ask you, do you have any friends that are good enough friends that you give them $6 million?
00:23:42.580 No, and not only that, I love how the money apparently is supposed to be paid back after the election.
00:23:48.940 The Daily Mail continues, the withdrawal of financial support for the president's son comes at the worst possible time for Hunter, with two trials looming, which could end up seeing him serve jail time.
00:23:59.000 I got to say, this is striking.
00:24:04.500 Nobody seemed to care.
00:24:05.960 The press didn't seem to care that there was this lawyer in California funding Joe Biden's son's legal defense up until this stage.
00:24:14.560 But the fact that he is bailing out, I got to tell you that there is the old phrase, the rats are running from the ship.
00:24:22.860 That starts to suggest that's exactly what happened here.
00:24:26.160 Yeah.
00:24:26.260 Yeah, quid pro quo, you got to have somebody that can hook you up on the end of it.
00:24:29.960 And if Joe Biden's out of office, what's the point of keeping your money flowing to this, to Hunter Biden?
00:24:35.400 This could be major, could mean major complications also for Hunter Biden's legal defense.
00:24:41.780 Can that be used as a delay tactic, is my question.
00:24:46.440 Oh, they'll try, but I don't think it will succeed.
00:24:49.000 Here's what the Daily Mail reported.
00:24:51.160 Quote, the paramount in 2019 during dad president's Biden's campaign for the White House.
00:24:56.140 They quickly developed a close friendship just as Hunter was trying to get his life on track and stay sober.
00:25:02.600 At the time, Morris helped him get safe housing.
00:25:05.820 He was dubbed Hunter's sugar brother after he agreed to loan the first son or reported $2.8 million to pay off his tax debts and joined his legal team amidst criminal and congressional investigations.
00:25:18.780 But now, after four and a half years of shouldering the financial burden, having loaned him more than $6.5 million, Morris is no longer willing to foot the bill.
00:25:30.920 Where does he get the money now?
00:25:33.060 I'm going to guess it's probably going to be from some of his foreign businesses or, hey, maybe it's some really nice artwork that'll go for more than a half a million dollars.
00:25:40.360 Because apparently getting a half million dollars to do finger painting is pretty impressive.
00:25:44.540 That's just the going right now if you're the president's son.
00:25:47.380 Let me tell you about Patriot Mobile.
00:25:48.880 If you have a cell phone and you have a cell phone with Big Mobile, you may not realize that you're actually supporting Planned Parenthood.
00:25:56.780 You may not realize you're supporting Democratic causes and candidates running at the local, state and national level.
00:26:04.040 Well, with Big Mobile, they give big donations to the left.
00:26:07.800 And once I found that out, I had to make the switch.
00:26:10.400 Now, the number one reason why people don't switch cell phone providers is because in the past, it's been incredibly time consuming.
00:26:19.840 Not anymore with technology in 2024.
00:26:23.660 In fact, switching to Patriot Mobile, you do not have to go to a store.
00:26:27.840 You can literally do it over the phone.
00:26:30.760 And when you switch to Patriot Mobile with every phone call you make, with every text message you send, you're supporting conservative values and causes because they take about 5% of your bill each and every month.
00:26:44.880 And they give it back to conservative organizations that support free speech, religious freedom, the sanctity of life, the Second Amendment, and they support our military veterans, first responders, and our wounded warrior heroes.
00:27:01.400 So when you make a call and you pay your bill, you're so standing up for what you believe in.
00:27:08.060 So don't wait too long.
00:27:10.180 Make the switch.
00:27:11.300 You get the same exact service you used to right now because you're going to use the same towers that you're using right now.
00:27:17.220 You can keep your same cell phone number, keep the same phone you have in your hand right now, or upgrade to a new one.
00:27:23.480 All you got to do is go to PatriotMobile.com slash verdict.
00:27:27.240 That's PatriotMobile.com slash verdict.
00:27:29.600 Or call them 972-Patriot.
00:27:32.640 That's 972-Patriot, and you're going to get free activation when you use the offer code VERDICT.
00:27:39.020 Join me, make the switch today, and make a difference.
00:27:41.940 PatriotMobile.com slash verdict, or 972-Patriot.
00:27:47.240 Finally, Senator, one other thing that has happened, and this is going to continue to break and become a bigger story,
00:27:54.140 but we are now finding out that the White House is refusing a FOIA request.
00:28:01.020 It is a request that was filed to find out about the nationalities of people on the terror watch list that have been arrested by Border Patrol in recent years.
00:28:11.720 The CBP now says they will not turn over the data, citing privacy and law enforcement sensitivity exemptions,
00:28:20.120 saying that, yeah, deal with it.
00:28:22.040 We're not giving you the intel on how many people have come across the southern border that are on the terrorist watch list and what nations they're coming from.
00:28:29.480 Well, this is the third story we're covering today that deals with Biden cover-ups.
00:28:35.420 That's the unifying theme behind all these stories.
00:28:38.820 In this instance, they're covering up the likely terrorists and the criminal threats that are crossing into this border illegally through Joe Biden and the Democrats' open borders.
00:28:50.200 And let me read you a tweet from Bill Malugian.
00:28:53.180 And Bill Malugian, as you know, is the heroic, the fantastic reporter for Fox News who's done more reporting on the border than I think any reporter in the whole country.
00:29:02.880 So here's what Bill Malugian tweeted.
00:29:05.120 Quote,
00:29:05.460 New
00:29:06.460 Six-plus months ago, I filed a FOIA request with CBP, seeking the nationalities of people on the terror watch list arrested by Border Patrol in recent years.
00:29:17.600 CBP now says they will not turn over that data, citing privacy and law enforcement sensitivity exemptions, telling me, quote,
00:29:26.000 The privacy interests of the individuals in the records you have requested outweigh any minimal public interest in disclosure of the information.
00:29:34.640 Any private interest you may have in the information does not factor into the aforementioned balancing test.
00:29:41.180 Malugian continues, quote,
00:29:42.480 CBP acknowledges in the opening paragraphs of their response letter to me that all I asked for was,
00:30:12.460 the nationalities of those arrested on the terror watch list.
00:30:15.740 But they then go on to cite exemptions that have nothing to do with what I requested, including medical files, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, dates of birth, etc.
00:30:26.580 None of which I sought.
00:30:29.080 And they even cite an exemption regarding, quote,
00:30:32.900 Records which could be reasonably expected to endanger the life or physical safety of any individual.
00:30:38.080 I disagree with CBP's withholdings of this data based on exemptions that have nothing to do with my FOIA request.
00:30:46.880 And I will be appealing immediately.
00:30:49.540 Let me ask you something, Ben.
00:30:51.560 What is Joe Biden, this administration and the Democrats?
00:30:56.540 What are they hiding?
00:30:57.860 Yeah.
00:30:58.200 And the question is, where are they hiding?
00:31:00.000 And how is it affecting, most importantly, our security in this country with terrorists coming across the southern border?
00:31:05.920 We know they're coming across, but they don't want us to know what countries.
00:31:10.320 Yeah.
00:31:10.520 And why is that?
00:31:11.700 What is your guess?
00:31:13.000 Because it's damning because the countries are countries where there's massive terrorism.
00:31:17.820 They're jihadists. 0.98
00:31:18.540 They're people that want to kill Americans. 0.60
00:31:20.500 And it illustrates, I've said repeatedly, we're at a greater risk of a major terrorist attack in the United States than we have been at any time since September 11th.
00:31:30.700 It is tragically going to happen.
00:31:32.920 I don't want it to happen.
00:31:34.300 But Joe Biden and the Democrats are inviting terrorists to come into this country.
00:31:38.900 Iran has demanded global jihad against America.
00:31:42.000 Hamas has demanded global jihad against America.
00:31:44.960 Hezbollah has demanded global jihad against America.
00:31:47.340 And Joe Biden and the Democrats are inviting people in.
00:31:50.240 And I assume from their refusal to tell us, so we know there have been hundreds of people on the terror watch list who've been apprehended.
00:31:59.320 They have not released what countries they came from.
00:32:02.520 I assume, based on their refusal to do so, that the country list is really damning, that they're from countries that are dangerous, that have lots of terrorists who want to kill us.
00:32:12.860 And this is political.
00:32:14.900 This is all about hiding the politics.
00:32:17.720 It reminds me of, you remember, and we talked about this, we did a whole podcast on this, when the data broke about the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants that Joe Biden had flown into America, flown into cities all over America.
00:32:31.840 And the Biden administration refused to disclose which cities, and they claimed it was national security information.
00:32:41.800 They wouldn't release it.
00:32:43.720 Ultimately, we got that information.
00:32:45.500 We covered that on this podcast.
00:32:47.640 What cities?
00:32:48.580 They were overwhelmingly cities in Florida and Texas, which is not surprising, given this administration is so political.
00:32:55.300 They're trying to do everything they can to screw Florida and Texas, but their claim that it was a national security risk to release those cities was a lie.
00:33:05.840 It was politically embarrassing, and that's exactly true here.
00:33:10.160 It's politically embarrassing.
00:33:12.140 I hope through litigation or political pressure we can get the information, but Joe Biden and the administration are counting on that they can stonewall until at least the election.
00:33:22.160 It's all about the election, isn't it?
00:33:23.900 Don't forget, we are going to keep you updated on this story.
00:33:26.640 I have a feeling more will break on this.
00:33:28.800 And we do this show Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
