00:00:00.000 This is an iHeart Podcast.
00:00:02.560 Guaranteed human.
00:00:04.280 What an insane week in America.
00:00:07.020 Welcome.
00:00:07.440 It is Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:00:09.140 Weekend review.
00:00:10.200 Ben Ferguson with you.
00:00:11.360 And did we have some intense stories that need to make sure they see the light of day?
00:00:17.080 First up, border agents are now saying,
00:00:19.860 we are so overrun at the southern border that we may have let some terrorists in.
00:00:26.660 We'll break down that story for you.
00:00:28.640 Also, where's the accountability after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump?
00:00:34.320 Not a single agent attached to the Trump rally has been fired so far.
00:00:39.100 So what's behind this?
00:00:40.680 Well, cover up.
00:00:41.880 We'll dive into those details.
00:00:44.020 And finally, Jordanian immigrants.
00:00:46.980 Yes, illegal immigrants who tried to get into Quantico have been set free on bail.
00:00:53.600 What's behind this decision?
00:00:55.540 We're going to break it all down for you.
00:00:57.380 It's the Weekend Review, and it starts right now.
00:01:01.300 There's also the terrorism aspect of this.
00:01:04.580 The New York Post is now reporting that three Palestinian terror suspects were caught after crossing the border illegally
00:01:11.300 as overwhelmed agents warn, quote,
00:01:15.500 I probably let terrorists in.
00:01:19.000 So the people that their job is to try to protect us are saying we're so overrun with illegal immigrants.
00:01:25.960 The reality is, yes, we are probably letting terrorists into this country.
00:01:29.900 Well, and this is a story that broke this weekend that you didn't learn about on CNN.
00:01:36.280 You didn't learn about it on ABC, CBS, NBC.
00:01:38.980 It was the New York Post that broke the story.
00:01:40.980 And let me read you from the story because this is going to – you want to talk about the dangers we're facing.
00:01:45.200 Here's what the New York Post reported, quote, border agents detained three Palestinian migrants who illegally crossed the southern border
00:01:52.900 after they were found to have possible ties to terrorist organizations earlier this month, according to sources.
00:01:59.140 One of the migrants had, quote, salacious photos on their phone, including a picture of a masked man holding an AK-47 rifle,
00:02:07.380 federal law enforcement sources say.
00:02:09.340 And by the way, it shows the picture of the masked man.
00:02:11.860 The man is wearing basically a ski mask and holding an AK-47.
00:02:15.760 Looks like a very scary terrorist.
00:02:18.220 That's what he's got on his phone.
00:02:20.100 Going back to the article, quote,
00:02:22.060 In addition to the three Palestinians, federal authorities caught one migrant from Turkey who was also suspected of having ties to terror groups.
00:02:30.400 The migrants were among groups of dozens of migrants who turned themselves into border agents at the San Diego sector, the set sources.
00:02:38.860 An investigation into the migrants is ongoing.
00:02:41.660 The article continues.
00:02:43.060 It's the latest example of potential security threats entering the U.S. via the southern border, especially at San Diego.
00:02:49.700 Overwhelmed Border Patrol agents tell the Post that they do not have the tools to fully vet the migrants who are coming in from all over the world,
00:02:57.780 particularly into the San Diego area.
00:03:01.060 Mostly, they're only able to use U.S. terror watch lists and other American resources to help determine which migrants could be a terror threat.
00:03:08.900 Border agents do not have access to terror criminal databases for other countries.
00:03:13.280 And here's a quote from a border agent.
00:03:15.080 Knowing who these guys are, we have, like, no access to anything international, like we really don't, and it kind of sucks.
00:03:25.500 And the agent continues to go on, quote,
00:03:28.600 I wanted to get into Border Patrol and protect from terrorists.
00:03:34.080 And it's like, well, I probably let terrorists in the country.
00:03:40.280 That's what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are doing.
00:03:44.420 And yet, if you listen to Kamala Harris, here's what she has to say about these issues.
00:03:50.820 Irresponsible.
00:03:51.520 It's the height of irresponsibility for the commander in chief to suggest that we have to build a wall across our southern border
00:04:00.840 because there are terrorists who are trying to invade the country.
00:04:06.420 It couldn't be farther from the truth.
00:04:08.740 That's how either ignorant or how much of a pathological liar Kamala Harris is when she was attacking Donald Trump for wanting to build the wall
00:04:19.140 because he said then terrorists were coming across the southern border and the media went nuts, said, no, they're not.
00:04:24.940 And it, sure enough, became true.
00:04:28.000 You could fact check it.
00:04:29.320 He was telling the truth.
00:04:30.580 And she calls it dangerous to even mention the idea.
00:04:34.660 And now it's happening under the Biden-Harris watch on a regular basis.
00:04:40.980 Well, and you know who has made clear that Kamala was lying when she said that?
00:04:45.140 Actually, the Border Patrol, the same New York Post article continues.
00:04:49.680 However, border agents in the San Diego sector were warned to be on the lookout for individuals tied to Palestinian terror groups
00:04:55.720 after the October 7th Hamas terror attack on Israel.
00:04:59.160 And here's the quote from the Border Patrol.
00:05:01.200 Quote, San Diego Field Office Intelligence Unit assesses that individuals inspired by or reacting to the current Israel-Hamas conflict
00:05:11.940 may attempt to travel to or from the area of hostilities in the Middle East via circuitous transit across the southwest border.
00:05:21.480 Foreign fighters motivated by ideology or mercenary soldiers of fortune
00:05:26.700 may attempt to obfuscate travel to or from the U.S., to or from countries in the Middle East through Mexico.
00:05:34.600 And then it, in particular, adds the insignia, it lists the insignia of Hamas, of Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
00:05:44.100 So, Kabbalah Harris is claiming that's not happening, and yet the Border Patrol is very explicit that's exactly what's happening.
00:05:51.120 Yeah, it is another national security issue.
00:05:53.720 And this is going to be one I think has to come up in the presidential debates.
00:05:58.520 It's not just the people that are coming across committing crimes.
00:06:01.780 It is the real threat to terrorism to the point where the people working under you are now saying,
00:06:06.580 the reality is we're so overrun.
00:06:08.860 I mean, you go back and quote what you just said in the article.
00:06:12.120 The people that are supposed to be doing the job to keep us safe are saying,
00:06:15.920 yes, we are failing because we cannot do our jobs.
00:06:19.320 Well, and when you have an administration that has decided partisan politics matters more
00:06:26.880 than protecting children from sexual predators, protecting Americans from murderers,
00:06:32.560 and protecting families all across this country from terrorists seeking to attack and threaten our lives,
00:06:39.960 the result is that everyone is less safe.
00:06:43.040 Senator, I've got a final question I've got to ask you because this has been a story that has kind of made its way around
00:06:49.460 among social media circles with conservatives but still not getting traction, and it should.
00:06:55.940 And that is how insane Google has become, even when you're trying to Google something about Donald Trump's assassination attempt on him,
00:07:05.300 and they want to suppress it.
00:07:07.740 I don't understand how this is a win for them, but sure enough, they're doing it.
00:07:13.760 Listen, big tech has been malevolent in this country, and there is no worse actor than Google.
00:07:22.060 Google is, and I do not mean this, that this is not hyperbole, Google is an enemy of democracy.
00:07:28.780 It is an enemy of truth.
00:07:31.860 And Google has decided it is an enemy of reality.
00:07:35.140 If you type in, on Sunday evening, attempted assassination of TR.
00:07:41.600 Now, as you're typing that in, let me tell you what the autocomplete results are for that.
00:07:46.760 First one that comes up is attempted assassination of Truman, because clearly that's what people are searching for.
00:07:53.300 The next one that comes up is most attempted assassination.
00:07:56.680 The next one that comes up is list of attempted assassinations.
00:07:59.920 The next one that comes up is famous attempted assassinations.
00:08:02.860 The next one that comes up is failed assassination attempts in history.
00:08:06.720 The next one is attempted assassination of President Truman.
00:08:09.920 The next one is attempted assassination of Harry Truman.
00:08:13.020 The next one is attempted assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
00:08:17.720 And the next one is attempted assassination of Ford.
00:08:20.640 So, look, what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, according to Google, did not occur.
00:08:26.260 Here's what I tweeted on Sunday.
00:08:28.480 I said, this is insane.
00:08:30.940 Google is engaged in active election interference.
00:08:34.220 They are gaslighting the American people and trying to erase the attempted assassination of Trump.
00:08:40.000 And, by the way, to be clear, it's not just Google.
00:08:45.040 Chat GPT.
00:08:46.940 If you type into chat GPT, was Trump almost assassinated?
00:08:52.420 Do you know what it responds with?
00:08:53.980 What?
00:08:55.040 Quote, there is no verified information or evidence that Donald Trump was almost assassinated during his presidency or afterwards.
00:09:02.100 There have been various threats and security incidents, but none have involved a serious attempt on his life that would qualify as an assassination attempt.
00:09:11.780 Now, that is utter and complete garbage.
00:09:14.520 That is a lie.
00:09:16.420 And, by the way, Fire Chief Corey Comparatore, who was murdered when the assassin shot him after hitting Donald Trump in the ear and coming within a half inch of murdering Donald Trump,
00:09:29.180 that's directly to the contrary, and yet big tech is literally, George Orwell would roll over in his grave at the willingness, the eagerness, the shamefulness of big tech to try to erase.
00:09:45.740 And we're not talking ancient history.
00:09:47.540 We're talking history in the last couple of weeks.
00:09:50.940 Yeah, in the last couple of weeks.
00:09:52.920 And yet, this is exactly how you say, hey, don't believe your lying eyes.
00:09:57.100 Three different stories a day, all going back to that same consistent scenario with the left, where it's, hey, if we don't admit that it actually happened,
00:10:07.580 if we just don't believe what really happened, and we don't report on it that way, somehow we can influence some people to believe that it really didn't happen.
00:10:15.120 And we've seen this on social media.
00:10:16.560 People are like, oh, I think he faked it.
00:10:18.100 Oh, I don't think it was real.
00:10:19.260 I mean, even the questions in Congress with like, oh, well, we're not even sure a bullet actually hit Trump, and then the FBI had to come back out and clarify those remarks.
00:10:27.800 It is total insanity right now in this country, and even in Washington.
00:10:33.160 I mean, the FBI director, well, we're not sure if it was shrapnel, or maybe it hit something.
00:10:36.940 And then they're like, okay, just kidding.
00:10:38.160 We got that wrong.
00:10:38.980 Yes, it was actually a bullet.
00:10:40.200 But the stakes have never been higher than they are right now.
00:10:43.840 Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation, you can go back and listen to the full podcast from earlier this week.
00:10:50.940 Canadian women are looking for more.
00:10:53.040 More out of themselves, their businesses, their elected leaders, and the world around them.
00:10:57.200 And that's why we're thrilled to introduce the Honest Talk podcast.
00:11:00.920 I'm Jennifer Stewart.
00:11:02.060 And I'm Catherine Clark.
00:11:03.080 And in this podcast, we interview Canada's most inspiring women, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, politicians, and newsmakers, all at different stages of their journey.
00:11:12.860 So if you're looking to connect, then we hope you'll join us.
00:11:16.100 Listen to the Honest Talk podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:11:21.840 Now on to story number two.
00:11:23.740 Now, according to the acting Secret Service director, he admitted to you guys yesterday that no agent assigned to the Trump July 13th rally has been fired.
00:11:35.920 And in fact, there's only the secret, the head of the Secret Service that was forced to resign after a horrible display on Capitol Hill.
00:11:43.100 But it doesn't seem like there's been any other accountability.
00:11:46.080 And that's sad, isn't it?
00:11:48.720 It's infuriating.
00:11:49.900 So as best I can tell, in almost four years of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris being in the White House, not a single person has been fired from any job whatsoever.
00:12:01.500 You have the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
00:12:04.440 It was an absolute debacle.
00:12:05.840 It was embarrassing.
00:12:06.940 It undermined the U.S. military.
00:12:08.920 It led to the deaths of 13 servicemen and women.
00:12:11.900 Nobody was fired.
00:12:12.960 There was no accountability.
00:12:13.900 You have here the first shooting of a presidential candidate, a former president, since 1981, since Ronald Reagan.
00:12:26.340 Nobody was fired.
00:12:27.640 Like, in any sane world, the director of the Secret Service would have resigned that day.
00:12:31.660 In any sane world, the president would have fired the director of the Secret Service.
00:12:35.660 But there's no accountability.
00:12:37.060 Now you now have the acting director.
00:12:39.020 And one question you asked me at the beginning of this pod, should the acting director be fired?
00:12:44.980 And I'm going to say I don't know.
00:12:47.560 I think the proof is in the pudding.
00:12:50.840 So on one level, the acting director, whom I don't know personally, but he's been a longtime career Secret Service agent and officer,
00:13:00.660 his answers demonstrated massively more candor than the old director.
00:13:09.120 The old director was handpicked by Joe Biden and Jill Biden.
00:13:12.340 I believe the old director was there.
00:13:14.900 She used to be on Joe Biden's Secret Service detail when he was vice president.
00:13:19.180 I think they handpicked her because they wanted the Secret Service to cover up Joe Biden's massive mental decline.
00:13:27.400 And so they put her in that place as a political decision to protect his political vulnerabilities.
00:13:33.240 That's what I believe.
00:13:34.700 But she was, and we talked about this in a prior podcast, when she did an all-senators briefing, she stonewalled.
00:13:41.960 She would not answer any questions.
00:13:43.520 She said they did everything perfectly except for the fact that the president was shot.
00:13:47.840 And by the way, to be clear, had the bullet been a half inch to the left, Donald Trump would be dead today.
00:13:55.980 She described this as a success for the Secret Service.
00:14:00.020 It's not a success.
00:14:01.980 It is, I think, God's providence.
00:14:05.140 I believe God turned Trump's head.
00:14:08.680 But we came within a half inch of the history of the world being changed that day.
00:14:15.380 So compared to the former director, the acting director is at least admitting they screwed it up.
00:14:23.100 They did something wrong.
00:14:23.980 He has some modicum of candor.
00:14:26.060 Here's my answer in terms of whether he should be fired.
00:14:29.460 How does he answer the questions for the record that I and other senators ask him?
00:14:34.880 I believe the Secret Service needs radical transparency.
00:14:38.840 Among the questions I'm asking also is how many threats are directed right now in the last year against Donald Trump?
00:14:45.440 How many threats are directed against Joe Biden?
00:14:47.460 How many threats are directed against the First Lady?
00:14:49.840 Now, to be clear, all three need to be protected.
00:14:52.180 I'm not saying that Joe or Joe Biden should not be protected.
00:14:56.380 But one of the public press reports is on the day of the Butler rally, they pulled members of Trump's security detail and put them on the First Lady's detail.
00:15:04.980 Now, I don't know this, but Secret Service does.
00:15:08.920 But I'm going to venture a guess that the number of threats against Trump versus against the First Lady, it is at least 100x.
00:15:21.380 And it wouldn't surprise me if it is a thousandx, that I think Donald Trump is the most threatened person on the face of the planet.
00:15:30.180 And if it is the case, it is all the more indefensible that the Secret Service political leadership would not provide sufficient agents to keep him safe.
00:15:40.120 And I'm asking them how many threats against Trump, how many threats against Joe Biden, how many threats against Joe Biden?
00:15:47.120 We'll see if they answer that, you know, based on the testimony.
00:15:50.520 I'm skeptical that they will.
00:15:51.740 Senator, finally, I want to move to some of this breaking news.
00:15:56.480 And it is an important moment that's happening in the Middle East right now.
00:16:01.260 Israel is doing everything they can to protect their people.
00:16:04.700 And they're also having success at taking out terrorists and terrorist leaders that have been orchestrating many of these attacks on Israel, including taking out someone in Iran in Tehran.
00:16:18.960 Well, that's exactly right.
00:16:21.080 And they're two huge stories in terms of the war in Israel, the war against Hamas and against Hezbollah.
00:16:27.900 One story that broke late this afternoon and evening is a story that says IDF kills Hezbollah commander behind brutal attack on children's soccer field.
00:16:42.740 And this is a Fox News story that's being reported everywhere.
00:16:45.840 Fouad Shukr, whose death is unconfirmed by Hezbollah, was wanted by U.S. government in connection to the 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut.
00:16:59.560 And IDF forces on Tuesday announced the death of Fouad Shukr, the Hezbollah commander who was behind the drone strike that killed 12 children and teens over the weekend.
00:17:08.860 So over the weekend, we saw Hezbollah fire a rocket in northern Israel, hit a soccer field, and 12 Israeli children were murdered.
00:17:17.820 Continuing back from the Fox News story, Shukr, who was also known as Haj Mosin, joined Hezbollah in 1985.
00:17:27.120 He was also sought by the U.S. government over his connection to the 1983 suicide bombing of the Marine Corps barracks in Beirut that killed 241 U.S. service members.
00:17:41.220 Shukr served as a senior advisor to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah at the time of his death in an IDF strike on Tuesday in southern Beirut.
00:17:50.800 The IDF confirmed the news in a press release announcing that its fighter jets eliminated Hezbollah terrorist organization's most senior military commander, Shukr, in Lebanon's capital city.
00:18:05.960 Now, understand, this is a murderer responsible for murdering 241 U.S. service members.
00:18:14.740 This is a reason to celebrate.
00:18:16.140 Listen, the enemies of Israel are the enemies of America.
00:18:20.800 The enemies of Jews, those who want to kill Jews, want to kill Christians.
00:18:27.440 Hamas and Hezbollah, they hate Israel, but they hate America too.
00:18:31.700 And this is an example where Israel fighting the war, fighting the war against Hamas and Hezbollah at the same time,
00:18:38.760 is defeating someone who has murdered hundreds of Americans.
00:18:43.980 That is an enormous victory for this country.
00:18:46.220 And then let me say, secondly, so you and I are recording this podcast, it is 11.40 p.m.
00:18:53.080 At 11.40 p.m., this news has just broken.
00:18:55.800 So listen, anytime you're dealing with matters of life and death and war and peace, the news can move.
00:19:02.860 So what we're recording right now, it may be different by 6 a.m. tomorrow.
00:19:08.320 But at 11.40 p.m., let me read the AP story.
00:19:11.960 Iran says Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran.
00:19:19.280 And let me just read the AP story.
00:19:20.760 Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran, Iran's paramilitary revolutionary guards said early Wednesday.
00:19:30.880 No one immediately claimed responsibility for the assassination, but suspicion immediately fell on Israel.
00:19:37.120 No duh.
00:19:38.500 Which has vowed to kill Haniyeh and other leaders of Hamas over the group's October 7th attack on Israel
00:19:44.960 that killed 1,200 people and saw some 250 others taken hostage.
00:19:50.640 Haniyeh was in Tehran to attend Iran President Massoud Pezeshkin's swearing in on Tuesday.
00:20:01.340 Iran gave no details on how Haniyeh was killed, and the guards said the attack was under investigation.
00:20:07.720 Analysts on Iranian state television immediately began blaming Israel for the attack.
00:20:12.120 Israel did not immediately comment, but it often doesn't when it comes to assassinations carried out by their Mossad intelligence agency
00:20:20.800 to come up within 24 hours with, number one, killing the top military commander of Hezbollah
00:20:27.900 responsible for murdering 12 Israeli children in northern Israel with a rocket attack
00:20:33.020 and also responsible for 241 American servicemen and women being killed in Beirut in 1983.
00:20:42.420 That's a big damn deal.
00:20:43.800 And then this taking out the top leadership of Hamas, it's a big, big victory for Israel
00:20:51.960 and a big, big victory for America.
00:20:53.900 As before, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation on this topic,
00:20:58.180 you can go back and download the podcast from earlier this week to hear the entire thing.

00:21:34.220 I want to get back to the big story number three of the week you may have missed.
00:21:38.740 Then we get this new shocking report that the illegal Jordanian migrants
00:21:44.020 who tried to breach Quantico base were allowed to walk free after posting bail.
00:21:53.020 Now, this is a national security risk at a high level.
00:21:57.400 And they're like, oh, you're an illegal.
00:21:58.840 Oh, you came in.
00:21:59.660 Oh, you're from a part of the world where there's a lot of terrorists.
00:22:01.900 Yeah, we're going to let you walk free.
00:22:03.440 How the hell does this happen?
00:22:06.000 Well, and this is something we covered on the podcast when it happened,
00:22:09.560 that two Jordanian illegal immigrants were arrested on May 3rd
00:22:16.300 for trespassing onto the military installation, onto the Quantico Marine Corps base.
00:22:22.920 And they were handed over to ICE officers because they were illegal aliens.
00:22:26.700 One of them was Hassan Yusuf Hamdan, who's 32,
00:22:30.460 and the other was Mohamed Kair Davos, who's 28.
00:22:33.880 And they were just released on bail.
00:22:43.100 Hamdan's bail was set at $15,000.
00:22:46.880 Davos's bail was set at $10,000.
00:22:49.520 And they were released and let go.
00:22:52.420 And we'll see if we ever see them again.
00:22:54.640 But understand, Quantico, it's home to the FBI Academy.
00:23:00.160 It's home to the FBI Laboratory.
00:23:01.620 It's home to a Defense Intelligence Agency facility.
00:23:05.540 And it's home to several Marine Corps commands,
00:23:09.200 including the unit that flies the Marine One presidential helicopter.
00:23:14.680 So we don't know why they were trying to get onto the Quantico base.
00:23:19.460 But there are a lot of things there that are serious national security priorities
00:23:27.700 or law enforcement priorities and to have illegal immigrants from the Middle East trying to get on there.
00:23:35.280 As one federal law enforcement source told the New York Post, quote,
00:23:39.640 big-time intel failure, security failure.
00:23:42.620 If it wasn't an act of terrorism, why aren't the government officials releasing the details of this?
00:23:48.540 What was the intent?
00:23:51.220 And, of course, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are not answering that question.
00:23:55.860 They don't believe, apparently, that they owe the American people an answer to that question.
00:24:00.320 And let's remind the American people of something we played here.
00:24:04.040 These types of breaches are happening on a shocking regular basis.
00:24:12.960 And this was the warning that happened on Fox News from a man wearing a uniform saying back in May,
00:24:20.800 yeah, this is happening a lot more than anyone realizes.
00:24:23.960 Military bases getting penetrated by foreign nationals is happening more and more.
00:24:28.720 Or, you know, this is something we see probably two or three times a week where we're stopping these folks at the gate.
00:24:35.420 A week.
00:24:36.160 Yeah, a week at least.
00:24:37.420 And this is just Navy alone where we're seeing folks try to come in.
00:24:41.360 And usually the cover story is, and I'm a student.
00:24:44.720 You know, I'm here.
00:24:45.360 I'm an enthusiast.
00:24:46.180 I want to see the ships, that type of thing.
00:24:47.940 We have to turn them around.
00:24:49.060 And typically we get NCIS involved with those, and we get biometrics when possible.
00:24:53.840 But, yes, there's been an uptick in that.
00:24:55.460 Do they have passports?
00:24:56.940 A lot of times they have passports.
00:24:59.260 They have papers, yes.
00:25:00.540 But they're in no way, shape, or form authorized to be on our base.
00:25:04.500 And it's really hard for us to tell the underlying motive for these type of cases.
00:25:07.880 Wow, that's stunning.
00:25:09.440 It is.
00:25:10.200 It's got to be a concern.
00:25:11.360 This is Russian, Chinese.
00:25:13.460 This comes from all these different nations.
00:25:16.040 We're seeing an uptick in it.
00:25:17.580 In addition to that, there's been some reporting on this over the last six months.
00:25:21.360 You're getting two or three drones flying over military bases in America per week.
00:25:28.780 That is no question happening.
00:25:29.880 How do you overcome that?
00:25:31.220 Well, you know, we are improving our capabilities to detect that, to defend against that, to make sure that our folks are trained to actually counter that.
00:25:39.220 I do this under my authorities from U.S. Northern Command as the component commander for that.
00:25:44.900 And so I have great reporting on it.
00:25:46.900 And generally, in general, we believe it's mostly just folks with drones that you buy them commercially, you know, from Amazon or whatever the case may be.
00:25:54.520 But it's hard to differentiate between that and a nation-state trying to do U.S. Vietnam.
00:25:59.500 I mean, they're acting like this is just normal in the United States of America now.
00:26:03.420 Like, oh, yeah, we got people coming into bases.
00:26:05.680 We got these terrorists coming across the southern border on a regular basis on the terrorist watch list.
00:26:10.820 Yeah, we get plebeos.
00:26:11.760 And notice what he said.
00:26:12.240 He says many of these are Chinese and Russians.
00:26:14.580 Look, these are organized incursions.
00:26:17.520 Organized incursions targeting our military bases.
00:26:20.120 And in the case of these two Jordanians, what happened, so they lied to the guards at Quantico.
00:26:26.480 They claimed that they worked for an Amazon subcontractor, and they were there to make a delivery.
00:26:33.420 And the officers determined that they were full of crap, that that was not true.
00:26:37.800 And the men who were in a box truck ignored the instruction of the guards and tried to drive directly onto the base before they were stopped by anti-vehicle barriers.
00:26:47.580 And so, look, this is deeply concerning behavior.
00:26:55.920 And the fact that – and both of them were here illegally.
00:26:59.820 Hamdan entered the U.S. illegally at San Diego.
00:27:04.240 He came across the southern border in April.
00:27:06.880 But you know what happened?
00:27:08.360 They released him, quote, due to lack of detention space.
00:27:12.080 DeBoost was also in the U.S. illegally because he overstayed his student visa.
00:27:18.440 And so both of them, for whatever reason, for whatever motive, they decided they were going to try to breach Quantico.
00:27:28.700 They were issued citations for trespassing and told to appear in federal court in Alexandria.
00:27:38.200 And a magistrate judge signed off on their release on the condition that they continue to appear at future court dates.
00:27:44.660 And they must also refrain from trespassing on any government property, including the Quantico facility.
00:27:50.820 Like, this is truly absurd.
00:27:55.220 And as I said at the outset, this week is a very good week if you're a terrorist.
00:28:01.020 This week is a very good week if you want to threaten the national security of this country.
00:28:06.360 It's a terrible week if you actually care about keeping Americans safe.
