00:00:00.880 Hi everyone, this is Jen Hodson from the Western Standard.
00:00:04.200 I'm here tonight at the Mark Carney Rally in Calgary.
00:00:08.960 Hi everyone. Hi.
00:00:11.100 Does anyone care to talk about what brings you to the Mark Carney Rally tonight?
00:00:15.500 No, it's the Western Standard.
00:00:17.160 No? Okay, fair enough. Okay, enjoy your evening. Thank you.
00:00:21.960 What's your name, sir?
00:00:23.120 My name's Wade Collinge.
00:00:25.080 Wade Collinge.
00:00:26.220 Well, thanks very much for chatting with us.
00:00:28.020 What brings you out here to the Mark Carney Rally tonight?
00:00:30.740 I drove from Sylvan Lake to hear what this man had to say.
00:00:34.960 Sure.
00:00:35.400 And so I got here about 4.30 and I went in and they asked me if I registered and I hadn't registered because I didn't realize I had to register.
00:00:50.020 Anyway, and so I said I just came here to hear what this man had to say because I haven't voted yet and I wanted to make an informed decision.
00:00:59.180 Sounds very reasonable.
00:01:00.140 So they wouldn't let me in period and so I said, well, I guess if you can't make room for one individual that drove here to hear what this man has to say, that pretty much tells me who I'm going to vote for.
00:01:17.600 So, yeah.
00:01:20.680 That's quite a story for you to drive all this way and to get turned away.
00:01:23.760 I'm sorry to hear that.
00:01:24.740 These are the people that are, we are the constituents and they're public servants at the end of the day.
00:01:30.900 So what will you go home and tell your friends?
00:01:34.100 Well, I'll tell them that apparently you were supposed to get an email saying that you could register.
00:01:40.260 And so I asked them and I asked all of the security people that were standing around, if anybody knew the answer to the question, do you only get an email if you are already a member?
00:01:52.600 And nobody can answer me, not even the guy at the door.
00:01:56.640 And so I'm like, well, if you don't want any new voters, what's the point?
00:02:03.040 Like, aren't you looking for new voters?
00:02:05.200 Like, so, and I'm the kind of guy, I'd rather hear it with my own ears coming out of someone's mouth than listen to all the media.
00:02:13.880 And that didn't seem to help.
00:02:16.780 So once again, I guess I know where I'm voting.
00:02:20.620 So where will you be voting?
00:02:22.740 I will be voting for Pierre Polyev.
00:02:25.500 I was at his event last night in Edmonton.
00:02:29.360 Quite a turnout there.
00:02:30.620 It was awesome.
00:02:32.160 And I really liked what they all had to say.
00:02:35.880 And there was no registration.
00:02:37.900 There was no show your identification.
00:02:40.200 There was no email QR code.
00:02:42.360 There was none of that.
00:02:43.520 You walked in, whoever you were.
00:02:45.980 They looked you up and down and in you went.
00:02:49.060 What a difference.
00:02:50.020 That's incredible.
00:02:50.640 That is such a difference.
00:02:52.000 Well, thank you for sharing your story.
00:02:53.840 And all the best to you as you travel back to Sylvan Lake.
00:02:57.800 And thanks again for talking with us.
00:02:59.420 Thanks.
00:02:59.820 And I'm a subscriber.
00:03:00.840 I read your, every day I read your newsletter.
00:03:06.400 That's wonderful to hear.
00:03:07.560 Thank you for supporting independent media.
00:03:09.400 We're trying to get both sides of the story here for everyone.
00:03:11.860 Independent media is the only way to go.
00:03:14.000 Right on, sir.
00:03:14.880 Take good care.
00:03:15.700 Thank you.
00:03:16.800 Thank you.
